how many total MBL, including premine?

Hi,
pure math will help us... :)
from: 1 minute block, 20 MBL reward, 1% annual inflation:

20 x 1440 x 365.25 = 10519200 MBL mined per year should be 1% of all
so
after first year will be: 1051920000 + 10519200 = 1062439200 (and 1052101444 value - is because of initial grace period distortion)
after second year: 1062439200 + 10624392 = ...
and so on...

1% annual inflation is set for being below the standard fiat inflation

Auroracoin, 10M airdropped, current price: 7,5k sat

Ripple also introduced a completely new consensus technology (I'm not defending Ripple, but at least they've got that going for them). You're just launching a mega premined shitcoin and trying to give it some legitimacy by merge mining with one of the older, more respected cryptos.

yeah cause scammers avoid IPO, ICO, and PoS, they usually start with merge mined coins with no way to cheat...those crafty scammers.

JK is an upstanding member of the community, and his nvidia mining linux distro kopieumtu is used by many of us in the community. He made it available to the community free of charge, no scam, and helped many of us not familiar with linux mine with our 750ti cards. If anything he raised the difficulty on coins he was mining himself like vertcoin, it would have been to his benefit to keep kopieumtu to himself and not release it to the community.  He got nothing out of it, so kind of hard to see how he'd create a merge mined coin to scam the community he has already contributed so much to...

Seriously think a lot of posts in the alt forums are just from scammers pumping their scam shitcoin and trashing legit alts.  :-\

His premine will take 95 years before the coins emitted through PoW match the premine. He will control more than 90% of coin supply for more than 10 years. Yea, it's nice that he refitted PiMP or BAMT to work with nvidia cards, but why does that make the premise of this coin any less shitty. He promised on reddit some killer feature and that he will distribute his enormous premine, but he gave no indication of what said feature is, and why make a premine just to distribute if you're making a PoW merge-mineable coin? Why not just let the PoW be the distribution? Why trust a single person with practically all the coins that will be in existence for decades, and approximately half the coins that will exist in 100 years? Seems like a scam, or an incredibly stupid design decision if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Whole premine will be distributed.
If I will want to have my own MBL - I will mine it or buy it, too.
There are reasonable answers for your reasonable questions, you will see it in some not far future.
I will describe the whole picture then (even if the business part - what is much more important here than technical part
- will fail, from any reason...)

Thank you.

I want to start a business part on top of the coin till the end of this year - such arrangements are always time consuming,
and not always predictable (when many people from classic business has really different connotations regarding cryptocurrencies).
I will honestly inform you if any serious problem will appear at business side.

For that reason, I rather recommend to merge-mine first (what is almost costless during Vertcoin mining) than to buy
(until some good news will appear :) )

because I have no such information :)

and because many years ago I was successfully "infected" by Austrian School of Economic
- I belive every thing is worth exactly that, what someone wants to pay for it.

Let's wait for first market, where miners will offer their mined MBL and will cooperate with eventual buyers for finding some price consensus... :)

Did a little backround check on you and found some solid evidence that you are the real deal in the crypto community , so saying that i think if you desided to launch a coin with such a big premine then you have to have a purpose and maybe you have a good idea or "killer app" to push it to the next level. I cant wait to see the whole picture of your buisness plan, hope to see it in the near future , because i would like to invest, but just not now.
If you take it to an exchange on launch day i wonder what the price will be ?????? My buy range is 5-10sat max. But some will say its still to much.

Even 5 sat seems pretty unlikely. There are 100B doge in existence at a price of ~50 sat, so even 5 sat would give this guy's premine a value of ~$1.2M (since market cap of doge is ~$12M). I guess it's possible, but I doubt it.

jk, can you detail your distribution method for the premine?

There is more than one option here.

The same way I have recommended to merge-mine than to buy, until some significant news will appear
- I recommend to assume the worst case scenario (at least from exchange rate point of view):
 i.e. air-drop or similar, like Auroracoin - but with global scope.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182734.msg12455052#msg12455052

I will do my best to execute a better option from that point of view,
but I need some paper agreement with some entity (-ies) here - to be more confident.

In meantime, company created for MobileCash purpose will deposit 21 x 50M MBL in paper wallets
in safe deposit boxes in two different classic banks, in two different locations, with two different physical keys needed for opening.

Until that paper agreement signing - I do understand your questions, but I can't describe more.
Because we all perfectly know from the bitcoin case, that:

First wins the whole pot.

That is very nice to have currency, what will lose only 50% of value in 95 years - compare with dollar last 100 years history.
It's very nice to have the cryptocurrency, what is mature almost from the beginning.

Second, completely separate matter is - if you should trust me or not.

Alright i have activated my alarm just in case if I forget lol.
It's ok but the price should be set by you and not by exchange.
And i would suggest to integrate to YoBit exchange as there are many new coins and they are pretty fast.

Hi,
Ripple is not setting price, but using exchanges for it.
Ok, I will take YoBit into consideration, too.
Could you propose also some block-explorer service?
(I would rather outsource it at this early phase)

Detailed solo merge mining procedure is here:
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=16800.msg285593#msg285593

It requires some linux distro (rather 64bit).
You can use KopiemTu 2.0 (I have configured it today for merge-mining, from scratch)

download image and use this for pendrive creation:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

and follow the instructions:
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=16800.0
(hint: open terminal, then: sudo su
then: monitor stop)

one hour should be still enough, I suppose

a test mobilecashd (linux 64bit) is here:

MM_PORT = 6888

note: diff is quite high there, more than 15.0

linux executables may require instalation of missing libraries (point 8. from that manual):

Less than 40 minutes :) i came here to check the news
Will you add the wallet link for windows and Linux when the countdown is finished?
To be added in c-cex will take long time to be listed, yobit can work faster.

I hope that current easy mining will turn out into a very good investment after some time

There is obviously no MobileCash without a solid mobile wallet.

Low diff promotion prolonged, till block 4032 :)

I'd suggest that low diff promotion (in addition to lack of a windows wallet and to a lesser extent mac) is just a scam for more instamine, but clearly that isn't necessary in this case (since dev has premined 1B coins, more than the amount that will be emitted in the next 90 years, and has no plans to do any promotional giveaway) :P

What is the rpc port and p2p port?  I have the wallet now trying to get merge mining to work.

I'm still talking with coinotron.com owner about MBL addition...
- so maybe that will be easier, as "workaround" - I will inform what is the result
(as you probably know I'm a linux guy, and KopiemTu is easy
- that sentence was written many times by linux newbies trying it)

Seems that the OP has never made a virustotal scan.
So i am scanning it if it has any viruses as the .exe file is just developed.
The results seems good and no virus detected: https://www.virustotal.com/en/url/eb61dc9cb8883504a4c38db8ed904514b5759639460942b9ebdbd0cc994b4ef7/analysis/1443076444/

No problem i am here to help and make more productivity the products :P
What i always want from the new projects(new coins) is the giveaway to members.
Like DarkTronToken which is going good, and by giveaways it can boost your coin and its price too and people will be more interested about MBL.

My only idea here is that you are still using test mobilecashd.
please show the output from:
netstat -ln

and eventual solution:

Code:
ps -ef | grep mobilecashd
kill ...
rm /root/mobilecashd

mv /root/.mobilecash/mobilecash.conf /tmp
rm -r /root/.mobilecash
mkdir /root/.mobilecash
mv /tmp/mobilecash.conf /root/.mobilecash/

tar -xf mobilecashd-v0.10.0.0-lin64.tgz

qt is the GUI interface.  mobilecashd is command-line only (for accessing across SSH on kopiemtu for example)

tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:6888          0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:6889            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN

Yes, that is test mobilecashd... (that you had insist to provide earlier ;) )

solution:

Code:
cd /root
ps -ef | grep mobilecashd
kill ...
rm /root/mobilecashd

mv /root/.mobilecash/mobilecash.conf /tmp
rm -r /root/.mobilecash
mkdir /root/.mobilecash
mv /tmp/mobilecash.conf /root/.mobilecash/

wget http://mbl.cash/mobilecashd-v0.10.0.0-lin64.tgz

tar -xf mobilecashd-v0.10.0.0-lin64.tgz
./mobilecashd -server &

Too bad, the solo mining with this algorithm, does not work!

I found a bug in the new cpuminer 1.2 with the new algorithm lyre2REv2.

It does not detect the address of payment even if the configuration is correct. How do you think can solve? I'm not the only one to have these problems ;)

I'm not sure if you have modified some fields in config.py file, e.g.:

root@vps179585:~# cat stratum-lyra-1/conf/config.py | grep MM
MM_HOST = 'localhost'
MM_PORT = 14414
MM_USER = 'muser'
MM_PASSWORD = 'mpassword'

if not, just for sure try such mobilecash.conf

Code:
rpcuser=muser
rpcpassword=mpassword
blocknotify=/root/stratum-lyra-1/blocknotify.sh --host localhost --port 4401 --password your_password

OK, i decided to install the windows wallet and just do normal solo-mining with my kopiemtu rigs.  I am finding blocks using DJM34's lyrarv2 miner but when the block is found, it does not accept (0/2 boooooooooo!!)

Must I use the cpuminer provided by you, jk?

I believe ccminer for Lyra2v2 will only work for pool mining. You are better off at this point to go to the console and type in "setgenerate true"
(minus the quotes) However this will use your entire cpu to mine, if you do not want to use all cpu cores add the following to your conf file
"genproclimit=3"  (no quotes of course) this will use 3 of 4 cores assuming your cpu is a 4 core.

perhaps the solo cpu-gpu mining does not work with Lyra2REv2, I did the test with vtc in pool and It works great!  :-\

The old algorithm Lyra2re also works with solo cpu/gpu mining,  this not. I do not know why!  ???

FYI, I am using SP ccminer on local p2pool with no issue.  This is set as merge mining, not solo.  I can confirm that sgminer is working as well using dmj34 version.

You should be able too.  I am very weak with Linux.  I am all setup on mostly Win10 boxes.  You will need to setup p2pool for vtc.

I'm not able to decide about the price, the same way like Ripple is not able to decide about price now.
- since they have placed some part of XRP on the market, and XRP price is market price.

market price is the actual price any item will be worth ...

you can place a price - then once it gets traded - it will find its own price according to the market itself ...

i think if you make a reasonable assumption about price - then you will have a reasonable community that will work with the coin ... up the price too much - or price it too low ... well - will see what happens ...

quite tricky ...

two news...

the good one:
MBL is supposed to be on C-cex exchange soon (sooner than next voting ;) )
and the not very:
MBL on Coinotron - will be delayed (due to: work overload)

There are 2 good news about MobileCash to be added on exchanges :)

Have you decided yet about the price of the coin or the exchange will decided their self at how much will MBL costs?

I'm not able to decide about the price, the same way like Ripple is not able to decide about price now.
- since they have placed some part of XRP on the market, and XRP price is market price.

You certainly can push the price down close to zero, since you're holding 1B premined coins, and probably all the way to zero since I doubt anyone is gonna sock 10 BTC at 1 sat.

You could also support the price above 10 sat quite easily, since the coin has only been out a few days, let's say a week, that's about 200k coins (excluding you're huge premine). You could buy all 200k coins at a price of 10 sat for 0.2 BTC. Since you supposedly have business partners and a plan for a business, one might think you would have the resources to spend at maximum $40/week to keep the price above 10 sat.

Also, nice logo.

Ripple certainly can push the price down close to zero, since they are holding many billions of premined coins, and probably all the way to zero since I doubt anyone is gonna sock up to one thousand BTC at 1 sat.

Ah, logo... at least in one matter you are absolutely right
- the prettiest one from all logos on Android screen

You keep comparing yourself to Ripple, but Ripple labs has a long line of investors, including Andreessen Horowitz and Google, a board of directors, a whole bunch of job listings on their career page of their website, etc. You don't even have a website, afaik. Ripple also introduced a completely new consensus protocol. You just made a clone coin with a huge premine. I'm not a fan of Ripple, but at least they appear legitimate, have a physical location for their company, and have introduced a novel technology along with their giant premine. You just have some top secret innovation that you won't say a word about, some unknown business partners, and you yourself are an unknown quantity with no public presence. I think you're comparing apples and oranges, or more precisely, banking tokens and shitcoins.

Edit: I apologize for missing this awesome website posted in the OP: http://mbl.cash/

That's the reason the Mobilecash is 100x less premined...

Hi everybody,

what is the point? I do not see any evidence or obvious signs for a scam, except that there is a huge premine. If somebody cant deliver he is loosing his audience, what is the worst that can happen. So if you think the coin is not worth anything or full of promisses, just sit and wait.

Nowadays you do not only need a great idea but also a hard skin and a big bag full of skills to get something going the time where you can make a big profit with scamcoins is over. What we need today are great ideas and as many as we can have because this world is very far from beein fair or a good place for the 99%.

Its ok to be sceptical and you made your point but please collect evidence first before accusing. Everyone is innocent before his guilt is prooven. Everything that really changed the world started small and against the establishment..

Greetings Rik

Guide for merge mining vtc and mbl on p2pool.

1.  Install and sync both wallets.  After the initial sync, close the wallets.
2.  Create a vertcoin.conf and place in C:\Users\Kenneth\AppData\Roaming\Vertcoin directory.  Replace Kenneth with your local account.  I use a wildcard for rpcallowip, so I can mine with other pc's on the network.

Code:
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
rpcport=5888
server=1
gen=0
addnode=87.236.196.77

3.  Create a bat file to open vtc wallet.  I save mine on the desktop.  Adjust the path to where you installed your wallet.

Code:
cd C:\Users\Kenneth\Downloads\vertcoin-qt-v0.10.0.0-WIN64
vertcoin-qt.exe -server -conf=vertcoin.conf

4.  Create a mobilecash.conf and place in C:\Users\Kenneth\AppData\Roaming\Mobilecash directory.  Same notes as above apply.

Code:
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
server=1
gen=0
addnode=5.196.3.187
addnode=185.35.64.174
addnode=81.2.237.134
addnode=86.105.50.219
addnode=93.186.251.227
addnode=185.43.211.233

5.  Create a bat file to open mbl wallet.  I save mine on the desktop.  Adjust the path to where you installed your wallet.

Code:
cd C:\Users\Kenneth\Downloads\mobilecash-qt-v0.10.0.0-win64
mobilecash-qt.exe -server -conf=mobilecash.conf

6.  Setup p2pool install.  This will cover the complete install from scratch.

a.  Install Python 2.7 from https://www.python.org/getit/ (https://www.python.org/getit/).  Please use version 2.7.9 as 2.7.10 gives errors.
b.  Install Twisted for Python 2.7 from http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/wiki/Downloads (http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/wiki/Downloads).
c.  Install Zope.Interface from https://pypi.python.org/pypi/zope.interface/3.8.0 (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/zope.interface/3.8.0).
d.  Install python win32 api from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/files/pywin32/Build%20218/ (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/files/pywin32/Build%20218/).
e.  Install python win32 api wmi wrapper from https://pypi.python.org/pypi/WMI/#downloads (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/WMI/#downloads)
f.  Install MinGW (gcc-mingw-4.3.3-setup.exe) from https://github.com/develersrl/gccwinbinaries/releases (https://github.com/develersrl/gccwinbinaries/releases).  Note:  Make sure to check the first 3 options and 'Link with MSVCR90.DLL' during the install process.
g.  Download p2pool source from https://github.com/metalicjames/p2pool-Lyra2RE (https://github.com/metalicjames/p2pool-Lyra2RE).
h.  Extract files to a folder.  During this guide I will use c:\p2pool-vtc as my path.
i.  Download and extract lyra2re-hash-python to your p2pool-vtc folder from https://github.com/metalicjames/lyra2re-hash-python (https://github.com/metalicjames/lyra2re-hash-python).
j.  In the Command Prompt navigate to your lyra2re-hash-python folder in p2pool-vtc directory.
k.  Execute the follow command.

Code:
c:\Python27\python.exe setup.py build --compile=mingw32 install

l.  In the p2pool-vtc directory create a launch bat file for p2pool.  Edit to use your vtc payout address, your ip address, and your mbl username & password used in the wallet conf.  I suggest to create a shortcut on your desktop for this bat file to launch p2pool.

Code:
C:\Python27\python.exe C:\p2pool-vtc\run_p2pool.py --net vertcoin -a VwV2J84P8mQggWgUv8ubCf6nJuAXHNoUce --merged http://username:password@192.168.1.6:14414

m.  Launch both your vtc and mbl bat files.  After both wallets are sync, launch p2pool bat shortcut.  If you did as I, these should all be on your desktop.

You should be running p2pool with merge mining now.  Point your miners to the ip address of the p2pool machine, and start mining.

I will do my best to execute a better option from that point of view,
but I need some paper agreement with some entity (-ies) here - to be more confident.

FYI, I'm going for some business meeting soon.
In fact, I wouldn't start this project without a positive answer from the entity,
which is important for the next milestone (there are two milestones yet...)
anyway, I'm still conservative, because another famous sentence says:
"In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes."

Hi,

Just FYI, we've added MBL to our multipool www.xpool.ca to be merge-mined on our Lyra2REv2 ports.

http://www.xpool.ca/blocks/MBL

To keep your MBL, simply set your MBL address in your account settings, using one of the support payout coins.

Please add to OP if you can.

Cheers!

Also, does p2pool need to be compiled?  the guide says to download the source, but then no other actions to it.

After you extract lyra2re-hash into p2pool folder, cd to the hash folder and execute this in the command prompt to compile.

Code:
c:\Python27\python.exe setup.py build --compile=mingw32 install

Has anyone else tried the guide?  I stepped thru it on another pc and all worked.  I could have still missed something.

You should have your folder for p2pool from source.  Within that folder add source from hash source.  After that go to the hash folder in command prompt and execute the compile.  I just did this again and received no errors.

An item on my to do list is learn how to merge repositories from GitHub.  I will work on that this weekend as time permits.  I have a more pressing item at the moment.  I am in the process of learning to code C++ to enhance my miners.  This is a side hobby, and I work a normal 50+ hour work week as well.

two news...

the good one:
MBL is supposed to be on C-cex exchange soon (sooner than next voting ;) )

"2015-09-24 19:26:48 C-CEX support

There seems to have been some confusion on my behalf regarding the listing. I have just spoken to our tech team and they have confirmed MobileCash will be added as it is the winner of this round. We are waiting for the source link to be updated on the ANN thread thread so we can initiate the process of listing it."

so, I have provided all the information - and I'm still waiting for the answer...

regardless MobileCash was the winner of previous round, just for sure please vote if you can in this round too, less than hour yet:

soooooo frustrating!  still getting errors.

here is my directory structure for p2pool and lyra2re-hash module:

http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w257/geartooth94/p2pool_directory.jpg (http://s178.photobucket.com/user/geartooth94/media/p2pool_directory.jpg.html)

I've also tried just dumping all the lyra2re hash module files inside the p2pool directory, but then the setup, license, and readme file duplicates need to be dealt with.  Also tried two separate directories under "p2pool-vtc", one for p2pool and one for the hash modules. still no go.  this is all on Windows 7 32 bit, b/t/w. but it should be ok since I chose all 32 bit downloads.

Try deleting -master off the folder name if you haven't.  I am not sure if that matters.  See if these 3 screens help as well.

for M there is only 50 or 51:

Yes, seems all coins on Lyra2REv2 ports are doing very well. If you're mining on it, don't forget to set your MBL address if you want to keep your share of the MBL rewards. It's not on an exchange we support yet (Cryptsy/Bittrex/Poloniex) so it won't automatically get exchanged into your currency you're mining with. MONA and VTC will though.

Cheers!

How can the claim of triple merge mining MONA be true, when MONA itself is not a merge mineable coin. There is no "getauxblock" or any such facilities in the coin?

They're probably confused when they found a MONA and VTC block close together. But they are mined only one at a time and merged with MBL.

That was the first time I use p2pool to merged mine. I set it up and ran to my bed at 6am. I thought it worked but it did not. Actually, my miner did not connect to p2pool because I used port 5888 in my miner. That why I did not get any Mobilecash. Now, I change to port 9171 which shows up in p2pool. And my miners connect to p2pool right away.

My miner's .bat file:

ccminer -a lyra2v2 -o http://YOUR_IP:9171 -u USER -p PASS

I am sure all command lines are correct. The problem just came from these software. Make sure you get all 32 bit versions. Last night, I got the similar error because I installed Twisted 64 bit. Now, just uninstall and re-install Twisted ( http://twistedmatrix.com/Releases/Twisted/15.4/Twisted-15.4.0.win32-py2.7.msi).

If that cannot fix the error, just uninstall all and start over.

I also upload all software in this guide on my dropbox.

I think I finally figured it out.  Somewhere I had read that some wallets do not support a wildcard in the rpcallowip function.  (i.e. 192.168.1.*) will not work.

Earlier, I specified the IP addresses of both my mining rigs individually. It seems the Mobilecash wallet does not support this, but the wildcard does work for rpcallowip.  I'm now getting messages in the console: "Got new merged mining work!"

Thanks guys.

Ergo:
None of your _valuable_ predictions are valid so far... :)

Those aren't predictions, they're facts and estimates. Big premine is an understatement: it's fucking humongous. $10 was an estimate looking at all of the trading history on C-Cex, I just summed it up in a spreadsheet and there's been a total of 0.055 btc, that's $13.55, so it was actually a pretty decent estimate by eyeballing. Also, there's a grand total of about 300k in buy orders at C-Cex, so you could very easily dump the price to zero with your 1B premine coins. Not predictions, just facts and estimates ;)

I have found a few MBL blocks already mining on xpool.ca but have noticed no payouts for this coin.  xpool must be saving them up.  I really like the idea of an AUXPOW Lyra coin but I fear that the premine is killing any potential volume.  I was going to submit this coin for voting on another exchange but then I saw the size of the premine and realized that they wouldn't even approve it for voting.  Maybe you should remake the coin as an AUXPOW Lyra coin that is also PoS.  No premine...then there will be demand.

maybe you have noticed that this coin is different from average altcoin in many places
again, Ripple premine is not killing its volume and price, right?

there was a long period of considerations, and I have included all just for robust support of my idea,

and that means:
no changes, no PoS, no halvings, no similar gadgets...

There is more than 600k MBL in circulation now.
There is no sell offer significantly below 1k sat - and such expected price level would place MBL in the TOP10 of:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/filter-non-mineable/

so I suppose the MBL owners probably remember from the past the amount of breathtaking websites of pure scamcoins...

That's OK, as I wrote above, single exchange with private API - is enough for initial phase.

btw, 'significant' - is not very precise term...
i.e. what level of premine is eventually acceptable? (e.g. 0.2% is OK? )

On their list of rejected coins:
Quote
ziftrCOIN(ZRC) 4.5% Premine too high.
was the lowest number I saw.

So, yea, I'm pretty sure your premine that will give you more than 90% of available coins for years, and more than 50% of available coins for almost a century would fall into the "way too fucking high" category :P

I guess it's deliberately vague so they have some discretion, but they do carry Zeitcoin, which I know has/had 1% premine, so I guess 0.2% would be acceptable in general.

@crackfoo,

The count can change because when blocks mature and/or orphan your accepted shares are deducted because your share has ben validated. Also if you have coins that need to be exchanged those are deducted at different times. I have some miners with accepted shares of more than 450k...

Hope this helps,

Cheers

the changes what are expected soon:

I mean, that MNO's involvement - is not necessary from technical point of view
but it seems from business point of view it's just turning into crucial factor...

MobileCash has two valuable factors for eventual investor:
- significant coin stash (which can be offered to investor and used)
- civilized level of inflation (very rare case in cryptoworld)

So our coin is more attractive than others - in case some business would be built on top of the coin.
We are operating in the environment, which is close enough to two big international MNO groups.
Fortunately, merge mining reduces the cost to participate in this some kind of lottery...

I'm late to the MLB party ::)

Have set my two 750Ti OC rigs running Kopiemtu to merge mine at xpool using lyra2v2. Kopiemtu is just so good! I now have it on 2.5" laptop drives in each rig, with various updates and the additions the guys made a while back - https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=16800.msg265672#msg265672 - kudos to induktor and the others.

Also installed the MBL app on my 'phone, nice work jk :) Heard a noise from the vicinity of where my phone was sitting next to an empty crisp packet, sounded like the packet had moved and had made a scrapping sound. Picked the phone up and nearly jumped out of my skin as more MBL arrived in my wallet like a fruit machine/one armed bandit/slot machine/pokie pay out! A nice surprise and a nice touch but is there a switch to turn the notification off somewhere?

but Cryptsy recently has strange behaviour, e.g. 10 days delay of bitcoin withdrawal

Been weeks without any kind of communication...

I also know that I should show the picture, I suppose till the end of this year

just to judge the idea and to decide what to do next (treating the premine as an asset)

Thanks!

I came across these coins on c-cex last week and have been buying a few here and there. I have finally downloaded and set up wallet (win-qt) I have gone to transfer some coins to it and I have nrmal address and stealth address, I dont know wich one to use?  Also do you have a normal mining pool or just merged?

Btw I can see from the thread you have taken a lot of crap! so far, I think you have done a really good job so far and its a good coin with some potential if done right. DOnt be fooled because I am a newbie forum member  ;)

Thanks ever so.......  ;D

Hi,

I have done some simple stealth address tests - it was working fine. For simplicity - please use normal address.

Merge-mining pools:
http://www.xpool.ca/blocks/MBL (set your MBL address in your account settings, using one of the support payout coins)
http://www.zpool.ca/site/block?id=1316

Obviously - merge mining is prefered, due to getting MBL almost for free, during Vertcoin mining.

As I wrote before, the potential is embedded in:
- MBL stash (which can be still offered to some investor)
- reasonable inflation

Hi,

We've added MBL to our new pool, the miners multipool: www.zpool.ca

Cheers!

Can you add to OP? :)

cheers!
Can mine Vert and also get the merged MBL or do we just choose one coin to get paid in?

I think it's similar to domain parking process, i.e.

we have perfect name for coin (imho)
we have low inflation and no danger of "fee race" due to lack of halving
we have 10x greater TPS than bitcoin
we have significant coin resource, which may be offer to potential investor...
(I hope I remember proper wallet password ;) )

so we need a bit of luck yet :)
(taking into consideration a keyword 'Bank' apperance on coindesk.com main page)

Any reason Give Me Coins never added MBL? I asked in their thread and tweeted, no response.

I like zpool, just want to mine Vert with free MBL. I've been doing it for awhile with p2pool and have a nice stack, just not around as much lately to monitor rigs, be nice to get an email when rig goes down from pool. Also harder to justify p2pool right now, just got bandwidth caps from my ISP  >:(

Post by: jk_14 on March 08, 2016, 10:05:24 AM

Now is a good time to explain the whole idea...

About a year ago I realized that the biggest beneficiary of the mining of coins is the energy industry, which is the true seller of coins, and miner only indicates which type of coins wants to be delivered (pointing that in configuration files of cgminer/ccminer). In conditions of low profitability often happens that the miner receives coins worth as much as the energy, which was consumed during their production - so in fact he buy coins from power supplier.

On the other hand, the energy industry as biggest beneficiary - and no single way promotes the idea cryptocurrency...

I figured that I could try to replace/swap power supplier for mobile network operators. They have a mechanism Short Message Service, which is well suited for "mining". Additionally, there is a Premium SMS, where mobile operator shares a portion of profits. In the old situation, it would mean that the energy supplier shares a portion of profits from mining. That was the reason of this my "strange" post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/37p6je/one_more_stupid_question/

So this big premine in MobileCash - is necessary for not giving profits to an entity which does not contribute, but rather give profits to an entity, which does not take the whole profit for themselves. And this way it would de facto support the development of such coin.

First halving of Bitcoin occurred at levels below $ 20-30. We can simply assume that half of bitcoins was distributed almost for free, compared with today's level of $ 400:

http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#rg730zigWeeklyzczsg2010-11-16zeg2013-11-15ztgSzm1g10zm2g25

Therefore, to repeat this mechanism - half of Mobilecash will be distributed for free. Our goal is to have broad distribution in some reasonable time. It would be great to have the same 1-5 millions Android downloads. So average giveaway should be less than 1000 MBL.

The second half of MobileCash should be sold by some business entity (in best case, e.g.: Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone) - so in similar way like power suppliers are "selling" coins nowadays. But with huge difference - some part of the profit will return back and support the promotion and development of coin.
Potential "Premium SMS mining" has some nice feature - is able to remove this drawback of bitcoin described here:

"How can we ever hope to get greater consumer adoption for bitcoin when many users’ first experience is the loss of £25 for an international bank transfer or a 3% credit card fee for the pleasure of acquiring their first bitcoin. It’s self-defeating and means only diehards and those keen on experimentation will make the leap from fiat to crypto currency."
http://www.coindesk.com/what-2016-holds-for-bitcoin-businesses/

Just one Premium SMS for buying coins instead of this hassle above.

I hope that explains better the matter.

Title: Re: MobileCash MBL
Post by: jk_14 on March 09, 2016, 05:56:05 AM

Indian number is OK now (but probably will require more work yet...)

I always could set giveaway for 10 million MBL, wait for 50 or 100 peoples - and the "problem" of premine would be quickly solved,
but that is not the solution we all expect I'm affraid, i.e. yet another closed group gathered around yet another unknown coin, without any advantage against plenty of others.

The price of bitcoin goes mainly from its popularity.
So I think we could expect even 1$ / MBL level if the number of Android downloads would be similar to bitcoin Android wallet (i.e. 1-5 millions). That is low level work that I'm not able to do myself, so I ask you about it. I'm only able to prepare tools, where your friends can quickly install Android wallet, but also immediately get their first coins for free/SMS - that is something, what is not possible in bitcoin, but it's really cool - to receive such gift within 1-2 seconds and starts to play with money transfers.

And then, as you are experienced user with access to exchanges (now c-cex)
 - when you want to settle small amounts with colleagues, without intermediary of bank - you can/should iniect MobileCash to the system. Additionally, as we expect the growth of price - your non-crypto friends will see growth the value of their wallets, what is additional incentive for them to use, and even propagate idea further, by themself. That will increase value of coins, also these you own.

I have some movie yet, prepared some time ago (but you will see - that is only draft).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRu0tGPzjKA

If it is not the killer application for cryptocurrency, I really do not know what it could be...
So the success of MobileCash now depends on our common work for wider idea propagation.

Hi,
quite opposite - every from 3 billions of people can immediately get 10k MBL bounty now in cost of one national SMS (e.g from free SMS package)
just install the wallet from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hashengineering.mobilecash.wallet)

every time you show your friends how to get the MBL gift - you will see that it is not my, but it is our resource of MBL, from which you just donated your friend

with current knowledge - would you recommend your friends 6 years ago to get, let say 10 btc - for one national SMS?
investment unnoticable or even costless, and profit depends strictly on our common work under wider propagation of idea

I made Google Play apk update:

"New checkpoints added and unnecessary permissions removed:
SEND_SMS, READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS"

It could be a bit strange, that SEND_SMS permission is removed...
But it's possible - I decided to invoke plain SMS application instead.

Such route is equal to the only SMS method allowed in iOS.

Something interesting:

"One option is to “buy in” to an existing, public blockchain. A postal operator would first have to acquire some coins."
http://www.coindesk.com/us-postal-service-blockchain-digital-currency/

MobileCash has unique potential - it's better prepared than other coins for providing tokens for some nice business case.
Sooner or later we should meet the proper one :)

Hi,

It seems there's nothing revolutionary in iOS 10, most interesting for me is:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/39529099/trying-to-send-sms-in-ios-10-is-sms-protocol-broken

EDIT:
possibility to define the route for given message as SMS, not iMessage - is necessary
now I'm not really sure that is still supported, in new iOS 10 gadgets...

P.S.
one interesting matter regarding MBL is pending now, but too early for description yet...

:-*Glad to See MBL discussions. I'm in about Six months ago... I think MBL has some Ripple effect in its code?  :o

Hi,

there is a chance for a lot of discussions - something interesting may happen in January
we are working on it, but success is not guaranted yet

Ripple effect?

 :o When I first looked into MBL there was mention of how Mobile Cash (MBL) was drawing from Ripple possibly because it is... It might not be a bad idea.  :-X

Ripple was mentioned as enormous premine example.
As I wrote yet, LBRY has also 0.4 bln coins premined, and that not prevent LBRY to be at 100k before, and now still at 4k sat

I would try to implement two big things:
1. Lightning Network clone
2. special block (every year - during reward inflation change) which contain account tree (http://cryptonite.info/wiki/index.php?title=Account_tree)
(as antispam mechanism: not including accounts e.g less than DUST_LIMIT)

but first we need to complete potential January event.

but due to recent hardware failure, China, Hong Kong and Germany are temporary affected, so only polish number is working stable
anyway, it's mainly for testing now, cause we are moving to new area...

We had an internal discussion some time ago, and the result of that
was an idea of supporting some charity activities from our MBL resource.
For instance, charity foundations like this: LINK (http://kreciola.tv/video/163269623)

btw: anyone from Shanghai or Ningbo here? :)

MobileCash is official partner of GOCC:

http://www.wosp.org.pl/aktualnosci/cyfrowe-serduszko-realna-wartosc

We have divided our MBL resource for halves, and one will be utilized for supporting
any charity fundation worldwide, which are using Premium SMS for gathering funds.
Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity seems to be the best kickstart ever,
while receiving close to 1 million Premium SMS every January.

And second may be utilized for charity or for "mobile ATM machine" concept (using P-SMS and/or Direct Billing)

The Grand Finale is 15th of January,
and every Premium SMS sent by user for GOCC - is sending back a MobileCash to the smartphone wallet, in value of user's help (at the market rate)
That is first real case while crypcryptocurrency is available to "Average Joe" with single-click, for "free" (as he/she donate anyway).

MobileCash & VertCoin

To whom it may concern:
I am preparing a book possibly an article dealing with cryptocurrency.
The topics will include a brief summary and description of the cryptocurrency market place as well as a look at the art work associated with the various logos.

Many of the currencies do not have any notes or guidelines for use of their logos.  Hence I am contacting the currencies I am including requesting permission to use their logo images as part of the material.

While this message is part of MobileCash thread - could you please forward this to someone at VertCoin who can approve use of the logo.

If OK for MobileCash and or VeerrtCoin can someone please  indicate so in a reply to this email.

Thanks,
Bob Erlandson

Someone is grabbing some cheap volumes for 1/100 of regular price

Expect revival soon...

This dev works on vertcoin that is interesting.

No block explorer but over 45 g/s of mining power? That is a lot of mining power for a hidden coin.

Checking the maths and the market cap is about $15k USD if correct? Also some volume lately so can someone chime in here for the reason?

Now where is the dev. Can we use this with our phones because the project looks very good if we can use it...

It appears MBL can merge mine with VTC, which has 1.35TH of network hashing right now. Maybe due to merged mining it affects MBLs network hashrate.
