Title: The future of bitcoin
Post by: Huobi-USD on September 30, 2015, 07:46:43 AM
What is Bitcoin and what will it become?
To believers, it’s the future of money, privacy and payments, the end of greedy banks and the fall of government fiat currencies.
To critics, it’s an elaborate scam, the currency of cyber villains, a threat to sovereign states.
To others, it’s already nothing, practically dead on arrival.

In which side are you?

I am a believer but don't see it take over banks or take over any currency. I see bitcoin as a fast way to pay international without any delays or fees for changing currencies. Its just a currency next to all the others.

A believer of the tech, but not bitcoin replacing current financial system, most especially banks. The blockchain technology brought up a lot of interesting projects and ideas from other entities not working for bitcoin. I'm interested on seeing those developments done on the blockchain, and how would it further revolutionize the way we look at transactions nowadays. As for bitcoin, it can be a tool used to transfer value from A to B, but it should first come a long way before it completely replace fiat and traditional banking.

i am definitely a believer of bitcoin and its potential to change the way we do payments on a global scale. what other say about bitcoin is their problem. they clearly don't see what we see.

I think it is adviseable to take part on each side, be critical towards your own assumptions and ideas regarding Bitcoin. I tend to be a believer, it is part of me to like things that stir up the world as we know it. But I can see the points of view of the critics and others, and see some truth in there too, a belief and being a believer is just that, a thing that can drive you towards change and giving hope, but when practising the use of the blockchain it is wise to take on a more concious mindset and put things in perspective, if you go only on belief, you will end up with a new relegion based on fairytales you made up in your own mind.

You should be a critic, always question yourself and others, what, why, whereto?

Bitcoin is popular and future for money transfers, especially when banks start to accept it  ;)

I don't know, I kind of feel like bitcoin is the Yahoo of digital currency, It works, it's popular, and people have used it since the birth of this movement. But sooner or later the google of digital currency is going to come along with a vastly improved way of doing it and leave bitcoin in the dust. I don't think that's happened yet or is even about to happen, but these things happen all the time in tech. Friendster > MySpace > Facebook is another example. One dominates till something better you never knew you wanted comes along.

Keep in mind I'm not an expert by any means, who knows what will happen? If anyone did know I'm imagine they would become very rich.

When I started out on Bitcoin, it was the solution to a problem. {More secure online payment method} ...It has grown into a competing currency and a good investment opportunity.

I doubt that it would ever replace banks or become the de facto global currency... but it will be a solution or a possible alternative for many countries.

People are fed up with banks... they are also fed up with corrupt governments... Bitcoin gives them a opportunity to feel how it would be, if they used something else.

The banks and governments will turn against Bitcoin, as soon as they developed their own copy of it, with all the features they want. Mark my words today.. It's coming.  ::)

Our only hope is thinking that people will wake up from the electronic fiat scam dollarcoin that they will launch and instead flock into Bitcoin's open source nature. Sure, we are still somehow governed by miners, big merchants and devs, but at least everything is transparent and we see the total supply, we see the actual code of the software. All of this will be secret with "dollarcoin".

I am a believer to BITCOIN , because now a days security has a lot of flaws that can be bypass. Bitcoin Transactions will only take some confirmations and guess what you can now turn it to real money. I don't believe that bitcoin will be gone because there is a lot of user now that making the Block chain network alive. Bitcoin is the Future especially now that anonymity is a must now. The fastest way to transact and send money to our loved ones.

I think future of Bitcoins is really bright and I also believe that one day the price of bitcoin will also cross $ 1000 mark. But this will take lot of time, people are started using bitcoins for their daily transaction and other payments like online shopping etc. Once the Bitcoins are trusted by the people and if they are globally accepted then surely bitcoin will provide healthy competition to our traditional money.

Yes, there are some unique things about bitcoins which makes them more promising and people are attracting towards bitcoins because of such qualities. There are many people who are fed up with the traditional banking system and they are looking for some better and hassle free options and i believe that Bitcoin is the best option for them.

Now a days even a farmer can not live without a cellphone nor a television.
In future no one can imagine a life without internet. When everything (like your grocery bill, electricity bill ect)is available through internet, you may in need of a secured and cheaper payment mode. The answer to your search is bitcoin.

I will side with the true believers. ^hmf^ I believe in the steady growth of Bitcoin use over time and then a sudden explosion, once the first killer APP has hit the market for it. We just need to find the magic idea and then the kickstarter to pull it off the ground.

We will be successful, because we are pulling and pushing together. All our hard work will pay off soon.

Sure bitcoin is becoming popular but replacing currencies, the government
Wont allow it because they dont control over it. Bitcoin is better
To be independent to the government.

To me Bitcoin fits in with the future of money, privacy and payments, the end of greedy banks and the fall of government fiat currencies. we will never have the fall of greedy governments because most of the west accepts being slaves and has no fight in them to overthrow. Bitcoin does have a future as a method of payment though. Look at it simplicity to send from here to the edge of the earth assuming that edge has a internet connection.

Bitcoin is really a cool concept and it has removed many flaws in our money transfer system but aw we already know that it a young market so its price is still much volatile so in that sense it can destroy a lot of things but if anyhow we can control its price movement or just can slow its price movement then i am sure it will be the best currency of the world.

Killer idea is how to get people to purchase Bitcoin:

1. Without having trust issues. When you exchange bitcoins you don't want to be scammed.
2. Without having banks governments intervene in the process. It should be free flowing, distributed. There should be a million traders all over the world willing to safely trade fiat for Bitcoin - not 10 exchanges around the world that get targeted all the time by banks and governments.

Think a million leaks in a damwall, instead of 5 big leaks.

I think if that happens, it is game on. There are already indications that a good couple of people prefer Bitcoin. People are starting to get the fact that Bitcoin is safer to hold because there is no FactCat at the top diluting your money without any of your control.

We need a mechanism to be able to distribute Bitcoin freely and safely, the rest will get sorted on its own.

The barrier for entry for accepting Bitcoin is low. Create a Bitcoin wallet and you are done. As easy as a FB account was to create when it started.

However to actually get Bitcoins in there is far more of an issue, you have to contact an exchange, KYC, this that. Instead ideally you would want to meet with a Bitcoin dealer, he sets you up and supplies you - if you can trust him.

Bitcoin needs to solve that trust issue, but it is a chicken/egg problem as far as I can see.

There are a million more ways to get some bitcoin in your wallet. Setting up a wallet is easy, then finding someone to fund that wallet with some coins other than buying it with fiat might be tricky, but there are possibilities all around us, the world is your playground and BTC is its currency. Set up a shop, provide a service, do what you like doing and do the best you can and there will be people that are willing to provide you with some currency, not just bitcoin, but it could be and if it happens to be, than you have gained some bitcoin, doing stuff you like doing, it feels so much better than when you just buy them with your fiat money.

Future is bright but totally depends on the adoption level as if the adoption level goes high and if bitcoins get on the mainstream than it will last for many years and that's what we all want that bitcoin should grow and should be more stable in the future.

Actually bitcoin is so fragile that I can't even think how easy is to manipulate it. Not to mention that it is totally niche market, despite of what some of you may think. We are not even one step closer to even slight adoption. In fact we are getting away, because in the future bitcoin will be thrashed and only blockchain will remain.

That's a good joke.
1. Bitcoin will shift to new algorithm if any bug or hack if it's with existing algorithm.
2. Already survived for almost 6 years. Many experts analyzed it's core conceptual for it's existence and need.
3. No government can stop using it.
4. Will live till earth lives or internet lives.

Shifting into a new algorithm and all very much new to me. If it happens, will it take place without affecting any bitcoin users or bitcoins. Hopefully those things should not happen to bitcoin community. I believe in bitcoin's core durability. It would take 1 million years to crack bitcoin's core security, like private key.

again with this argument it's not really possible or simple as you think it to be, how about all asic miners that can only mine sha256 coin? you think they can afford again to buy 400 peta of hash for another algo....

Yes, seeing how hard is to change a block size limit which is just a line of code, I don't think that changing the whole algorithm would be that doable and successful.

Then again if the Bitcoin survival is in question, everything is possible.

Somewhere at the middle path but slightly leaning towards the brighter future direction. I think is one of the cleverest invention. It has its plus points and like I always believe, it is our hope and will be the solution to our all financial mess from the current system. However it is still fragile and at times could look it it will just end up a failure. Just trying to be positive.

Imma chime in and say Bitcoin is great, and has a very bright future.
The most opposed to it are those with the biggest stake in controlling the monetary system, ie the banks.
The Sheeple that are against it simply do not understand it, but this is changing as culture is changing.
People are breaking away from the old paradigm of the dollar and debt model, because that shit sucks ass.
As society continues to evolve, acceptance of crytocurrencies will definitely increase.
We as people just like to cling to old things because we've grown comfy.
But shits changing. Fast

Bitcoin is a test bed, and an idealistic creation that serves its purpose for a select few. It isn't going to overthrow governments, and it won't. The technology that it has introduced is however useful, but at the same time, it isn't exactly clear to anyone where its true value lies. I would think that the price correction we have had for the past 18 months is just a result of Bitcoin trying to find its fair price.

I think what we are looking for is the Apple solution to buying Bitcoin. People are lazy. They don't want to think of a million ways. They want to sit and click a few buttons and it is done, no trust issues, no screwing around, just cash in Bitcoin out.

This is where banks hold they key, but it is the final key - so they are going to hold on tightly to it.

It's pretty easy to buy bitcoin here in the city, there are dozens of bitcoin ATM's spread all over NYC. But most of them are deposit only, so getting the money out is pain unless you have more places to spend it. But that's just one city, I know they have a few in Chicago and LA, but no where near the coverage here. So I'm kind of agreeing with your point, it has to become much easier to access, understand, and use before it ever accepted by the general population at large.

That I agree. Instead of asking the future of bitcoin, we can simply say bitcoin is the future. All the future transactions would be based on bitcoin and it's block-chain would store the total net worth of this world. May be over rated in words but we will be surprised when it happens.

If future is the bitcoin, what would be the bitcoin price in future and what about alternate crypto-currencies. We may say most of the future transactions may be transacted through crypto-currencies.

I see ''bright'' future for bitcoin.
I'm sure that younger generations will soon or later see advantages of bitcoin compared to paper money.
When this happen and bitcoin become mainstream, banks and governments will have to accept new reality and allow official use of bitcoin as world main alternative currency.
Soon or later we will win :)

I am a Truely believer of bitcoin as bitcoin has changed the world already and will keep affecting the world for good, thanks to Satoshi for inventing the bitcoin and giving the power of holding our own money in our own hands without government knowing who owns how much..I truely agree with your point about believers--it gives us privacy and control to our money :D

The technology is something and Bitcoin is something else. The banks are not interested in Bitcoin.
They have the control over the financial system. They are interested to develop their systems, yes.

Bitcoin itself is an e-currency and a small one and nothing more.

Do not forget that Bitcoin is used by around of 2.5-3 mil. people which is nothing considering the world financial market. Of course, many people have several addresses, and some have dozens of addresses so the ones who own BTC are less than that. :)

If you mean that bitcoin will be produced as a physical coin (metal)
Then i think that it needs lots of money only for the metal and other things.
But in the digital world, yes it can replace and making it easier for large transaction, bitcoin has a good future.

If the price of Bitcoin is just $500 per coin after practically all have been mined, then it means Bitcoin never caught on to mass adoption and is ultimately only used for speculation. $500 per coin puts Bitcoin's value at just 10.5 billion, and with consistent inflation I imagine that number is actually of lesser value than today's market value.

On the event of halving people are expecting bitcoin prices just would double. From past records and analysis halving will trigger bigger buying pressure to flow in new money into bitcoin eco system causing bitcoin prices to claim at least 10 times of current prices.

Yes bitcoin futures are dependent to every halving scheduled every 3.5 years to 4 years. So, we can expect a brighter future for bitcoin on the event of halving. When miners get small amount as block reward and selling price will be reduced thus the requirement for bitcoin will raise leads to better price for bitcoin.

Hopefully Bitcoin user base increases many times thus much more people supports the Bitcoin running full node or Bitcoin miner (costs little money to run) - I assuming certain percentage of Bitcoin user base supporting Bitcoin with these actions so it is all about popularity of Bitcoin in future.

Yes the future of bitcoin is based on the user base. When bitcoin become more popular there would be many people who will use it bitcoin for their daily purposes to make it as a main stream of payment processor. The future of bitcoin is based on it's popularity which is highly dependent on it's value.

I'd say after the very erratic course of prices and events in 2013 en 2014 a slow and steady increase in price and influence in (global) finance. The public is still largely oblivious and sceptical, partly because of MtGox and stuff.

There is no way banks will take over Bitcoin. It would erase its purpouse. Besides, it is a peer to peer kind of network, so they can not just take it.

I would however like to see it as a currency used worldwide.

Well bitcoin can replace the current fiat, the bad thing is they cant press new money to cover any bad moove they make,i remember the countries before European Union well they made one coin for what 25 countries? soo why cant bitcoin or other crypto became the new fiat ?

If you mean that bitcoin will be produced as a physical coin (metal)
Then i think that it needs lots of money only for the metal and other things.
But in the digital world, yes it can replace and making it easier for large transaction, bitcoin has a good future.

No you get me wrong im saying fiats is possible to press new coin.... at bitcoin there is a limited number of coins...would be good to be able to use bitcoin everywhere, but well the rates and products would be diferent at each country,an apple should cost 0.0003btc and other countries above or lower it ,would be amazing how much 0.04btc your bill.

I don't think it is needed bitcoin to be produced :) i get you.
But yeah it is limited to 20s millions of coins in total but it isn't needed to go physical.
What is lost is lost like in the digital world when we know that lots of bitcoins are lost now.
I think bitcoin will have a good future, and it has began with the price increase nowadays.

I want to see bitcoin back to $1000 mark or even better in the future. Im still new to bitcoin world and hope I can feel what others feel when the price hit that mark.

Day by day bitcoin is getting much popular. Growth rate of bitcoin popularity became really high and Im sure of that. Only needs more development to hug and adopt the worlds needs. I trust bitcoin.

You will feel euphoria by the time that you don't need to convert bitcoin to cash anymore because you can spend it to almost anything there is in this world. Mass adaption and global acceptance of this currency will surely change the way we view money. ;)

it will be whatever the centralized authority think it will be, they still control that aspect of bitcoin, so as you see bitcoin is a bit centralized

we are lucky that EU view it as a money, i hope many unregulated country will follow their decisions

In all honesty, Bitcoin is everything. It just has many use cases. Now how will some government see it, that's their problem and for them to worry about, like Amph has said.

We can't much influence governmental decisions. All we can hope so is that they regulate it fairly. By fair I mean like EU has just ruled, and by not fair I would give you an example of NY and their BitLicense.

Yes. To some it is the future of money whereby printed paper money will be of the past. There will be privacy since it is own by individual and payments will be a lot easier. This kind of advantages will make bitcoin as the future of financial system.

I think that if only 1 country implements bitcoin.
The price will go to the moon, but that is hard for a whole country to move to bitcoin.
As a "second" currency then yes if the country moves totally to digital and visual money and no more paper money then the price can be increased and the future of bitcoin will rise.

A country adopting bitcoin as a currency seems pretty far-fetched today, although not impossible.
If it happens, it is likely to be in some kind of failed state.

I would rather see the best chance for bitcoin in the certain proportion of the people living in the developed (or developing) economies adopting bitcoin for some of their financial transactions.

Wrong, you are looking at it with the wrong angle which in return gives you a faulty analogy. You need to think of Bitcoin in terms of a protocol and not a service. Namely, the internet had several protocols that were competing at the beginning and TCP/IP won. Right now it's safe to say Bitcoin is the TCP/IP of cryptos, it has been solid for years and you can build on top of it. There are no realistic "Bitcoin replacements" ahead.

Absolutely. Huge volatility in price is good for traders and holders, but not much else. If we want Bitcoin to play a significant and legitimate role in the future, it needs to be understood that we need to build practical uses outside of speculation, which huge volatility makes difficult.

It will be used widely. Many people in many countries will have bitcoin. That is different from other national currencies. For example, Japanese Currency is main owned by Japanese.

Yes. bitcoin is beautiful in the sense that it does not have border. Central banking is isolationist and oppressive.

goverment want to control BTC ?
i think it's imposible, bitcoin is decentralized system, "free market" , no one can control the bitcoin,
The bitcoin network isn’t controlled by one central authority. Every machine that mines bitcoin and processes transactions makes up a part of the network, and the machines work together.

And yes the mindsets of the people would also play an important role in deciding the future of bitcoins that whether people see it as a threat or an opportunity, but I believe bitcoin is safe for next 15 years.

I'm on the believers side obviously. I don't even want to say about Bitcoin that "it’s the future of money" because the word "money" is so dirty that the Bitcoin might be smudged if put them close to one another. Bitcoin is much much more than a "new money" IMO.

Yes the ends of fiat currencies are the beginning of bitcoin ecosystem. We can expect the end of all fiat currencies very soon. Once people switch over to bitcoin for their daily spending, then no one can stop the end of fiat currencies. That is the real beginning of bitcoin and the future too.

Bitcoins are progressing now all over the world, and people are now trusting it more and more.
The reason behind it is the features and performance of bitcoins as a currency. What I see in future of bitcoins is that bitcoins will be used more in other countries and soon  we will see that even local shops will accept bitcoins as payment.
But, there's a negative side of it as well, bitcoins' use for gambling and illegal purposes may increase too in future. The thing is that future is unpredictable and you can never say what would happen exactly, but there're more chances for positive results than these negative ones.

After seeing some of the billionaire controlling the price of bitcoin using lots of their fiat currency mostly from china. Within 6-8 hour period price swing from 500 to 368$ which will be totally unacceptable by the one who like to hold bitcoin for daily uses and they will become panic and sell all of their coin again to those billionaires or whales. Positive thinking. That is what is mostly needed now. 400 is a good price to stay for now. No more going down. Maybe waving a little but not totally down. Yes and that is a good sign. We all saw it getting high so there is a chance it will go back again up there to where it belong.

But till 99% bitcoin are mined out, and the demand for bitcoin goes normal, we cannot expect a stable place for bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is activated by supply and demand. Even once the bitcoin supply goes to zero, but we can see rising demand. So there are lot chances for rocket speed prices. That's the future of bitcoin.

After a few halving, the effect of newly mined coins will be much smaller as the fresh coins are much smaller in number. The price will be stable in about 20 years.

The future of bitcoins will be good only as you said more companies should accept it as a regular currency to buy items otherwise it will not grow bigger if it used only for gambling or gray transactions. So one can't guaranty what will happen to the bitcoin prices over 5 years time.

Yes on the future maybe. If it will be used by many companies. But for now we are like in the air just staying there with nowhere to land. Bitcoin needs to be accepted with a lot of people before it will be used frequently. It is like a vote in this days always. The more the merrier.

As time goes on, the usage of bitcoin for gambling and grey market transactions will be lower compared to other "legit" application. It will be used in banking, online purchasing and other legit transactions. It will take many decades to achieve the status of US dollar, but we have hope.

Even for 20 years I can't see bitcoin will replace the whole fiat industries.

In my own view, I don't want that to happen. Im happy with the current usage of bitcoin now. Development must not include replacing the whole fiat.

I have my own reason why I don't like bitcoin to be the main currency. Im happy how bitcoin works today. Taxes here really sucks. You can understand why Im saying this if you will experienced where taxes here go.

And also bitcoin be a value storage. You buy bitcoin to hedge against inflation. The value will not reduce over time.

It will take a long time to get accepted at all stores as a mode of payment, but yes the value of bitcoins will keep on going higher and higher in coming years, as the adoption level would be high, we believe that the price would be more stable, though it is not sure that price will be definitely stable, but if the adoption level and acceptance level goes high then the future of bitcoins would be definitely bright.

I would not be so sure. The future may be very close. The world is changing very quickly. I suggest you read this article:

Well if you are only basing your answer to that bolded part of yours with that services that recently launched then still you can't say future for most of the stores that will accept bitcoin may be very close.

FYI, it's not worldwide. Another one is bitcoin regulation in some countries. It may happen but not close for now. Maybe in 5 to 10 years.

I am dreaming but let say IF Satoshi/Faucet is just cent so:
Satoshi/Faucet: cent
Litecoin: 1 to 500 dollar
BTC: 500 - 1000 dollar
Like dollar and euro world wide money so no more dollar and euro. I think that would be awesome. The new revolution money.

i think 15 years is such a long time. if we look at the speed of the bitcoin popularity. it is on its top position as compare to other degital currency. so i think it will not take such a long time. it will hardly take 3 to 5 years to become a popular digital currency of the world.

Problem is not all have that kind of stores. But I really love the low cost transactions I feel the number of money that I have saved since I used this currency. From 1-2 dollar per transaction to just a cent. Hell, I can send more because of this.

I don't agree with you.
There is no evidence that Paypal is dying and still Paypal is mainstream, almost online standard for payments, widely used by millions of people.
Yes, they have very strict rules about customer protection, what is not bad policy at all.
In this way, many victims of online scams, HYIP programs etc. was able to gt their funds back.
Thanks to Paypal I also saved my money in this way.
With Bitcoin you don't have such protection.
If you are legitimate business, you don't need to worry.
Paypal will accept Bitcoin as payment gateway?
Don't see reason really why they should do this?
Help competition maybe? I don't think so.

It can be really hard to predict and that is because Bitcoin is going to be more worth soon and that would be nice for the people who already waited a long time so that is nice.
But you are not for sure that you can earn money with it because Bitcoin is still a currency so no one will know what will happen.

As I've said before, Bitcoin is quite technical and not everyone would accept it because of that. The current fiat system does a great job catering to morons and it makes it all very simple for them to use, so that is already a great way to force out competitors like Bitcoin.

If we can find a way to make Bitcoin easier for people to use, especially the general population, everything will start to quicker within the Bitcoin economy.

we are thinking about the future of bitcoin and i think everyone is talking about it. for me the future of bitcoin is looking very bright presently. but i think the future of bitcoin is depending on the situation after halving. if the people hold their bitcoin and not sold them at at same time then it will be good for the future of bitocin  but if the people create panic and they star to sell their bitcon at the same time then the price will fell down and the value of bitcoin will be effected.

yes, bitcoin is really great because it allows people to use it freely and make any transactions they want whenever the want, i think thats the best money that ever been created

i think that the future of the bitcoin is definitely going to be really bright and it will allow us all to make some good money for just holding our bitcoins, i hope my predictions will turn out to be true

agree with that, its too rude if think that paypal will disappear in future, paypal is good payment, and first digital payment in this world, and peoneer. even bitcoin better than paypal,it will not make paypal bankcrupt or lost their user and lover.
Paypal is shit.It was good when Elon Musk started it.Not like they're unbeatable,if everyone gets accustomed to bitcoins ,trust me they won't survive the revolution with their service charges as big as king kong's fingers.I'm just wishing for paypal to die and get completely replaced by the Crypto World.Doesn't matter if its bitcoin or ETH ,we need to boycott centralize organisations.
Long back itself, Paypal has started dying. Not just due to their higher fees, they are known for killing many business by freezing funds and accounts.

Yeah and the best thing about bitcoin is that you have access to your funds 24/7 and there is no public holidays involved in it and you can transact anytime you want, so I think bitcoin is the future of the currencies.

the future of bitcoin i think is this digital currency will become  the one currency
of all country,.especial ;)y in money money transfer and all advertising business will gonna adopt it
too.

Yeah, I think it will happen sooner as everyone love bitcoin and everyone adopt this currency and as this currency do not have any owner so this currency is of everyone and everyone will accept it as the global currency happily.

I agree with this because even if the entire countries currency was just btc alone, you go into a shop and buy something "please wait for 2 confirms before taking this item"

To me that just isnt a possibility unless they changed the entire system.

I'm not sure if the price will rise buddy, I can't tell you the future but it isn't looking good with blocks going to take longer now, people aren't going to want to use btc as much as before, I hope it does survive though!

The future of bitcoins are in our hands, we have to power to let it grow or sink.

To believers, it’s the future of money, privacy and payments, the end of greedy banks and the fall of government fiat currencies.

Neither banks nor fiat will disappear in future, they will keep on performing as they are doing at present but we will find more users who will prefer to use bitcoins.

Paypal does not care about any individual and any business they have created problems even for most established business available online, they only care about their fees and every time they are in search to find anyone to freeze their account.

It is an inception for innovation that is related to the currency that is virtually conducted by the users itself, which, according to my perception is the true meaning of democracy where every person is the master of their own device. It too excels the self reliance among the users and positively be the one the source major source of economy in future.

Countries accept bitcoin??? if you mean as a local currency then it is just a bullshit. there are no any country who is going to accept bitcoin as local currency. because no one can control on bitcoin and governments need a currency which can be control and handle by them..
but if you mean accepting as legally then I would say it is already happening. bitcoin is already being used worldwide and governments have no issue with bitcoin.

now some of my friends already know bitcoin. growth compared to last year so far. now 30% of my friends know bitcoin and 15% of its use bitcoin regularly in their daily lives. I think this is a fairly rapid progress. I am still trying to mngenalkan bitcoin to society at large. I know I will be part of bitcoin.

Bitcoin's User base is growing.  Let's hope there will be enough places that will accept bitcoins as mode of payment.  Mall, supermarkets, movies, bookstores, drugstores, dining, etc.  If big bank card like Mastercard, Visa etc, would incorporate it with their current system, that would be just great.

forecasts and prospects of development of Bitcoin is moderately positive. In the long term, the main thing - to be able to defend the independence and the original essence of a decentralized project. To others, it’s already nothing, practically dead on arrival.

In which side are you?
I think btc will become the main paying method in about 15 years from now
I too believe that within decades to come bitcoin will be widely used. there will make the financial work very easy and transform the way we live the world. We will break free from the enslavement of the banks.

The are some who say that the goverment wants to control BTC ?i think it's imposible, bitcoin is decentralized system, "free market" , no one can control the bitcoin,The bitcoin network isn’t controlled by one central authority. Every machine that mines bitcoin and processes transactions makes up a part of the network, and the machines work together.

For a free market, it's just a side problem, but the main problem is the decentralized of bitcoin. In my opinions, the decentralized system is the opponents of the main system of the government and that is the centralized system. from the background, the bitcoin and government are different and then this can make every party is difficult to make a domination to another party.

While many argue that the rise in blockchain usage will only enhance blockchain technology itself, it seems logical that it will also enhance the reputation of Bitcoin. Indeed, as more industries use blockchain techniques, the general public will slowly see how effective it can be and, therefore, faith in Bitcoin should start to grow.
To say we’re on the cusp of a revolution might be a bit premature, but there’s no doubt that Bitcoin has already made significant progress in 2016.

forecasts and prospects of development of Bitcoin is moderately positive. In the long term, the main thing - to be able to defend the independence and the original essence of a decentralized project. All other problems IMHO this crypto-largest network of experienced in fully automatic mode. Afraid she is not of technical problems with the unit value and hovering transaction, but rather its nimble competitors such as ETH, which in terms of its innovation and PR head and shoulders above Bitcoins.

It is currently the early stages of bitcoin and its technology, it will take some more time and I hope it will be the more established technology of financial system of the world because of its attractive features and its convenience in transaction etc. The issues are there but not that much obvious that people will reject it. And it is the master of Crypto world and will be the master of that no matter how much other coins develop.

In 100 years? Of course we wont know what will happen with that time. Let us just see for 10 years first if it can still draw the attention of many then it will be all good.

Same thoughts here !!! the future of bitcoins seem great but I guess It will take quite long for the wide spread use of bitcoins. just imagining the way we will be living excites me. we can carry own bitcoins around the world no limitations !!!!!

There's a possibility that the price of Bitcoin would blow up. Before I quit doing Bitcoin, I would leave a little amount on my wallet and totally secure my wallet. Once all the bitcoins are mined, and the people are all into Bitcoin, then surely the price would shoot up. If I hear the price of Bitcoin is thousands, then I would go and withdraw the amount that I left before. I think this has a really good chance to happen because a lot of things is done digitally nowadays.

right now the actual number of people using bitcoin is very low. imagine what will happen if we gain like 200-500% more users in the coming 5 to 10 years. it will be massive for bitcoin. very important point is that people must be able to spend their coins locally. that will trigger a lot people to actually start spending their coins. right now the far majority only focus on using bitcoin as investment tool.

Yes and if would be using bitcoin as a currency then at this stage we would be sitting at some higher price but the fact is people are not spending it, they are just holding it for future.

I believe bitcoin always remain in his own shape, and i wish it will be remain. If we ask for anyone why we are using the bitcoin? so definitely everyone say we all want to get profit from it. And no one think that bitcoin need to change something, but only one thing bitcoin need and that is publicity. otherwise bitcoin never and ever change into fiat currency.

Price has moved up since last week but now I think bitcoins is taking rest but if we consider the future of bitcoin then its gonna revolutionary holding the best price of all.
The phase of resting is passed and now the price is increasing but the movement is a little slow that is why we do not notice it more. The better future for bitcoin is going to start from this year when a large number of people involved in bitcoin then we must be enjoying the flying bitcoin prices.

It is really hard to predict the future and not everyone will also know what is going to happen in the future so that is the problem of Bitcoin.
But it should be nice if there will be more people that is going to use Bitcoin and that is also important.
now some of my friends already know bitcoin. growth compared to last year so far. now 30% of my friends know bitcoin and 15% of its use bitcoin regularly in their daily lives.

The users base is growing with a rapid speed and you can notice, even in third world countries and even in back world countries people are more active to work with bitcoin and it is hope that in a few years it will be available all over the world.

Yeah, It's more likely to happen in future. Bitcoin is getting more know by the time. More online stores accept bitcoin as their payment, and offline stores will follow that steps gradually.
That way it will spread bitcoin to people who still don't know yet. And because of that massive movement bitcoin price might be increase more.

bitcoin has a limited amount of approximately 21 million coins, and put an end to production until the year 2140.
so the benefits of anti-inflation limit is the increase in value of Bitcoin now, and forever. so I believe bitcoin will have a good future with high prices in the future.

the future of bitcoin is very promising, it aims to provide a wireless and cardless trasactions and a currency that can not be corrupted by the banks or the government.
