You are a real early adopter How much bitcoin did you buy this time ? I bought 100 BTC (the smallest amount possible). To give you a flavour of trading back then, here's the complete list of trades which took place on 12 July, 2010 on the exchange I was using: Rate Amount Time (USD/BTC) (BTC) ----------------------------- 08:28:10 0.0120 200 10:26:03 0.0120 100 11:21:43 0.0100 4300 11:48:46 0.0119 5000 13:01:49 0.0120 4700 13:10:19 0.0130 1000 13:37:45 0.0130 2500 13:44:11 0.0130 500 13:46:22 0.0135 100 15:34:46 0.0140 500 16:41:31 0.0135 400 16:43:46 0.0140 1000 That's great, Mr. Early Bird... Hat's off to you dude, if I were you, I would have been a millionaire right now in my country... I guess you too are... ;) Thank you but I think the hat should stay on. I sold most of my bitcoins about 10 months later at around 8 USD/BTC. Buying is easy, holding for years is hard. I cannot wait until time travel is invented! That is the story that should be told in Back To The Future! I'll be a millionaire 4 years ago! Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: teukon on December 22, 2015, 11:49:50 PM Those numbers are really interesting. Which exchange? This was just a few months after the 10,000 bitcoin pizza. Indeed, about 7 weeks after laszlo's famous pizza trade with jercos. I was using bitcoinmarket.com at the time. There were other options for buying/selling such as OTC, NewLibertyReserve, and the forum, but bitcoinmarket.com was the closest thing to an exchange. I have more old trade data if your interested, going back to about April, 2010. Volume is relatively low but one can't miss the wild yet largely forgotten July, 2010 rally. Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: Bayuu on December 22, 2015, 11:50:57 PM I bought them when it was coming down from the $1000+ crash... That as good times for you early investors granted some would have been sold on the way up but would still have held a few thousand coins for the ath thats for sure. The cheapest i managed to get mine for was around $220. It was a very low price that I bought so it was a good invest. Well it is too good that you buy at 200$ only and now its more than double the price. I think later I will sell it soon as possible if the value will rise for a long time, so I can sell it with profit. I dont think the price will ever fall to below 200$ here after. Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: aardvark15 on February 29, 2016, 05:56:26 PM I bought a small amount just below $200 but most of it was well above that. I wish I could go back and buy some more real cheap.

This makes me quite comfortable because I can decide without pain when to leave in case of "emergency". I plan to hold and buy a little more though.Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: RodeoX on February 29, 2016, 06:01:38 PM I think I was paying about $0.70 at first. Of course they were just hacker toys at the time.

Believing in BTC back then was an hacker's dream and some people here got extremely lucky being part of it at the right time. I like to think we coud go over 1000$ again but right now it seems another dream. Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: dollarneed on March 01, 2016, 04:56:32 PM the cheapest price that i've bought was $ 220, then hold and sell it when the price was $ 280, nowdays bitcoin's price on $ 430 it's very unpredictable, i personally have stored some amount of bitcoin for long term investment, i hope the price would be hit $ 1000 again, or at least the price going up during halving or after that, just saying
Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: CasioK on March 02, 2016, 06:25:11 AM Maybe around $240, it's one year ago when i bought many bitcoins. Because i know well about bitcoin is around 2015 when the price is $200++ per bitcoin. That is still big, mate I once bought some 7 bitcoins when the price was around 30-40$ , but my bad I sold them when the price got to some 100$ , because I thought that its enough to get more than double. Also i didnt knew that time that BTC will once cross 1000$ !Title: Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) Post by: Sengoko on March 03, 2016, 04:06:32 PM I bought/got some bitcoins when it was worth $20 but it was just a small amount and was sold at almost the same price, If I known what I know now I would have done all I can to buy the most I could get :) .
