There are no "unsold token". As I got it in slack communication, all collected money will be divided by 2000000 token. That will be value of 1 token.
The value of sent ETH will be evaluated in USD for the moment of sending.

I dont see how this has raised so much so fast, the crowdsale was expected to run until april 28th, and it raises all funds in a matter of hours and finished,

I think a big whale/group has bought up a serious large portion of these, $5.5 million total crowdsale is nothing to big investors/whales.

I cant foresee how this crowsale has ended so fast otherwise considering very few people knew about it.

One token is not worth 1 g gold. DGX is the Gold Token, DGD is the Crowdsale token. due diligence first, then complain. not the other way around

cause it's diluting. Token holders earn from rewards and that's based on their shares. the more shares are issued the less you earn :)

Also, "their organization" is not correct per say. the DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Orga) is owned by everyone who invested. Digix owns 15% though

I have a hard time calling this a DAO. Distributing 100% of coins through a coin sale and premine could easily allow for corruption. You can just buy 51% of all coins and run the company. I believe a more fairly distributed token is required to create a successful DAO. This is more of a company structure. DAO is just the new hot word of the month. There are way better DAOs than this. This is good but by no means is this a DAO.

This still doesn't justify refusing more investment. But it's their choice. Just wondering how much they would have raised if crowdsale wasn't closed early.  :P

What would you like to know? I have found the answers to all of my questions in the above link that I posted and have emailed them with any thing that I couldn't find in the documents that they have provided.

If you used a mist wallet you can view the total funds contract and map out the distribution that you should expect on April 28th.

You just have to divide your listed shares by 1,000,000,000 to get actual expected distribution in DGD.

Digix DAO tokens are not deployed until end of April. so you have to wait until then, they will be traded on BitShares DEX followed by other centralized exchanges

I like the way the Mist wallet works...totally effortless process. That was a great idea!!!

Tonight, I went to app.digix.io and created a wallet with their web app. I sent nearly 2 BTC to buy 20 grams of gold tokens and its not showing up in the wallet and I'm freaking out. Nearly 2 hours has passed. The web wallet is so convoluted and buggy. I regret messing around with it. No word from their support about this yet. Anyone know if this is normal or what? I sent some small amount of ether as a test and that showed up pretty fast. The part to buy tokens was in BTC, not Ether. But after waiting, I did see confirmation box pop up, but when I close the box, it keeps popping up.

that's why you always try with small amounts first. also, it's much safer to let them send the gold to an address you actually own :)

It was around $3.5. I was trading prelaunch for around $12-13.

Now it is trading around those levels, but I would expect supply to run out soon after weak hands sell. $20+ soon imo.

There is nothing really being done to price right now honestly. The fact is that there is very very limited supply. Most people are Holders, especially the large whales. Meanwhile we aren't on an exchange were many people can easily buy. So most buyers haven't had a chance to buy yet. I would suggest getting in before that happens - ie. being added to Poloniex.

But at $10? Where's the dump when you need it lol.

The dump happened the first 3 days. It was on Gatecoin and on OpenLedger. It got dumped by early exiters slightly below ICO price a few times. Basically those dumps were bought by ICOers looking to get more to hold. I watched this all unfold on Digix slack.

Indeed. Empty asset to generate BTC with a project behind it with countless real world issues. Crypto currency in itself is supposed to replace 'precious' metals, no point in parring them to a currency, as this cannot be peer reviewed, no matter what tech is behind it.

i would advise caution. some people here are of the view that we have already seen the first pump and dump. i disagree. in my view right now is the first pump cycle, with a big dump to follow. timing is everything. make sure your watch is working.

my motive is that i don't want to see the small investor get sucked (suckered) in and lose their hard earned money to fat whales who need to suck (sucker) in small investors to make their money. i'm not holding or buying Digix DGD, and that is an clear as i can be.

No, I think your motive is that you would like to buy in at a lower price. My opinion - if the price is currently $15 and someone can buy now and sell later at $35 that's a pretty good return for them. You advising them not to do so is bad advice.

Where do I get $35 from? Well if you had been in the slack and read the Reddit speculation section pre exchange release and talked to most of the holders you'd know the consensus target price for many is between $33-$40. That's where I'd expect to see a next-to-last consolidation before a final spike probably up to around $50. Then, yes after that there will probably be some retraction.

i note with interest that you have failed to answer the simple question of whether or not you are holding DGD.

the yield for holders of DGD is going to be essentially nothing at this rate of gold trading. there's just no fundamental value to support DGD's market cap or price. these tokens are near worthless imho. it's just 600 grams of gold sitting in a secure facility at Singapore Airport supporting a cap of $26,000,000?

I got confuse. I was about to buy DAO from daohub.org. how does DigixDAO differ from DAO? DAO isn't released yet but they now have derivative.

At first glance, one difference is that  DGX organizers have committed to himself about 300,000 coins. In DAO not committed. Another difference is that  DGX offer their own projects for voting, while in DAO you can alone to offer a project. Surely there are many other differences. It would not be bad if someone describe them in detail.

DigixDAO is not related to the gold price. DgxDAO holders only get rewards form Digix Gold Transactions on a quarterly basis

Great news. Dark horse still creepin. Someone bought it up to 20 USD on trex other day. It sustained the price while ETH was under 20 ...so DGX DAO was worth almost 5 USD more than ETH for a bit...says a lot....Imagine whats gonna happen when we land POLO. All the kids who slept on this coin will cry.

Really regret I missed the dump on Bittrex, already invested in this coin and I see great potential.

Regarding #2, whitepaper compares rationality of miners in Bitcoin to rationality of gold custodians. That rationality is not analogous.  If the gold custodians steal all the gold the market price of gold does not go to zero.

This is more like an audited version of Mt. Gox. If the custodians hold the gold, it's their gold just like an exchange that holds your keys.

I agree about DGX and Dai, and only from reading about the two coins i would rather have dgx as a stable coin. However Dai and mkr seems to have a community behind them so i would feel more comfortable investing with them (even though i dont like how the dai token functions,  i will stick with bitusd for now).

Sure, why not, afterall even the BTC isn't backed by anything, it's just value. But there is no point of "being backed by gold" as a concept, when only a fourth of your token is actually backed by gold. Might as well not be backed by anything, IMHO.

Yes but these pool rewards seem to be a long way from the dividends that would supposedly be paid, as it used to say on their website. A little confusing I would say. Only time will tell how good these rewards turn out to be, but I think the community is waking up to the idea that they may not be very good, hence the price dropping by more than half in the last month.

p.s. would suggest that another Gold-backed token, Hello Gold, will do much better in the long term. Already has thousands of users, much better marketing and expansion plans. We will see.
