Quick question - will Blocktrail go through a re-branding to match BTC.com's brand? Or will it stay as Blocktrail under the BTC.com umbrella? Thanks.

I don't know if this post is getting enough attention here or the wallet is just too bad? The wallet looks like a clone of Blockchain.info? Too many similarities! I Like the feature of showing Pool Distribution and Network Status (that entire div).Quite unique and really helpful! The API seems unavailable right now otherwise I'd be the first one to use it  :P Still don't understand how it's the most powerful web wallet? No FAQ section or detailed information about the topic. Not very user friendly interface at the moment.Does it support signing/verifying messages ? Couldn't find that info either..Please update the tabs on your website.

Our wallet was under another name "Blocktrail" - on this site there is a FAQ (https://www.blocktrail.com/faq) and such. We are in the process of transferring everything to BTC.com please bear with us :)

All wallets are similar in the sense that they are bitcoin wallets - we are not a clone of blockchain though, everything was built from the ground up using our API (https://www.blocktrail.com/api) and very talented dev team. The Blocktrail API tested and loved by many businesses, projects, and devs will also be transferred under the BTC.com brand.

I'd like to stress that the countless third parties using our API and mobile/web will not be affected by the transferring of Blocktrail to BTC.com

We're working around the clock to get everything to the level of excellence both we and our users require.

Thank you

Ahhh - I was looking for something like that, that bit isn’t visible in Safari 9.1.2, doesn’t scroll to it either, needs moving up a bit.

Just switched over to Firefox and there it is.

Thanks

I couldn't find, i am so speechless, this site's product manager is imcompetent, user experience is retarded!

It's not a User experience issue , It's something that most (If not all) online wallets do as far as I know. When you first made the account , they gave you some information's and asked you to print them and store them well , If you didn't then It's your own fault.
Allowing users to recover their passwords using email will get everyone in the Bitcoin word to get hacked and that's why they give you the passphrase to store in the first place.
See here how to recover your wallet (If you have your PDF): https://blog.blocktrail.com/2015/11/blocktrail-wallet-recovery-tool/

can you set custom transaction fee or the wallet does it for you automatically based on the chart above?
because 40k fee for a transaction is not always the best choice

Shouldn't this be in the online wallet section of this forum? Just use the bottom section of the page to move it there.  ;) Anyways, I'm already using this wallet  and I can say that I like using this wallet. The only thing that it needs is a way to sign and verify a message from a bitcoin address and I'll be set :).

Hi, the wallet automatically chooses the best transaction fee, you can opt for low transaction fees if you click on advanced in the wallet section. Please note, this 40K transaction fee was just for that particular time of the screenshot.

Where is Terms of Service of your wallet? I wanted to read it before I create account but I couldn't find them on your site.
Do I need to have access to wallet before some other hidden options like support, ToS, FAQ will be shown?
Do you allow users to access and backup private keys?

Well , Bitmain is trusted and they are controlling Blocktrail.com now . I personally would trust BTC.COM/Blocktrail.com more than Blockchain.info as they have Multi-sig wallet and they can't spend any funds without the private keys you own , unlike BC where they don't use that + wallets are stored on physical servers (even If it's guarded 24/7 , It could get robbed). Also see here , there is some decent info about their security : https://www.blocktrail.com/faq
Without forgetting the fact that Blocktrail is open source as well and you could check the source code yourself : https://github.com/blocktrail/blocktrail-webwallet

Hey,

There is no one "owner" it's a company. There are many departments, many positions. IF you want to know more about our history, i recommend you search for Blocktrail on google news, there you will find articles dating three years ago.
Thanks

Acquisition of bitmain seems pretty good for the development of this wallet, from this acquisition I hope to eliminate sending cost which I think is quite high for now, so it could be free like the Coinbase and Xapo.

If there is an elimination of transaction fees like coinbase and xapo does then I would be all for going with this as my main wallet because I just closed my coinbase wallet today. It was a security risk for me to keep it open because of all the allegations lately of them giving customer information when the IRS asks for it and who really wants that to happen to them at tax time. :-\

What i know and my experience couple months ago, btc.com is safe, but many people said never put the eggs on one basket, unfortunately right now i don't use it again because the fees is too expensive if be compared with other services wallets.
and there is no feature for sign massages and import private key on single wallet.

As long as you have the documents they gave you when you first made the wallet (the PDF) then you should be fine , even If they get hacked the hackers won't be able to do much as It's a multi signature wallet and thats not the case for blockchain.info where the hacker will have access to the wallet.dat and start cracking them.

Okay then. Then it is a safer alternative then blockchain.info wallet is to use. Cause I didn't quite know how multi signature wallets worked but looking into it now. Was looking into it with the downloadable ones that I was looking at and they have alot of features that do make your wallet more secure from such intrusions as you have mentioned.

He already answered you on my thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1747098.msg17481039#msg17481039
If you don't want to lose your bitcoins then simply make a backup of the PDF they give you when you first made the wallet and you should be good to go.

I usually use Wifi while using your Android wallet but I will be using 4G instead in the next days which means I have a limited data use , Lets say 3GB per month. I wanna know whats the data usage of your application and how much MB/GB it would cost me monthly If I run it twice or thrice a day for mostly checking the balance only.

Hey Madgamer,

You are going to have to check that yourself, to be honest with you, I've never checked it. :) You can check your data usage on Android devices in the settings section.

hello,

when transfered everything to BTC.com..
blocktrail api will be unaviable?

Nothing will ever be unavailable, you'll just see a new logo. That is it.

You never ever have to worry about that.

I checked the google play and I saw an update , on the changelog It says :
Code:
- new wallet encryption schema.
- auto-upgrade to new wallet encryption schema.
Is it something to be worried about ? I mean If you upgraded your encryption algorithms , does it mean that the old ones were weaker and we should change our passwords ?
It also would be very nice If you could make the wallet checks for update when launching it because checking the google play often isn't something the average user would do.

The upgrade is ofcourse improving the strength of the encryption, otherwise there wouldn't be much reason to upgrade it.

However the strengthening is done on the encrypted primary key, to make sure it remains impossible to break the encrypted primary key, now and in the future (the scheme is now also future-proof, we can easily strengthen it more in 1~2 years).
So there's no reason for you to change your password, it's not your password that is ever at risk.

I'll add it to our feature requests to have a way to prompt users that there's an update, good idea!

Hey Madgamer,

Thanks for letting us know about the FALSE bug, it already had been mentioned and are ironing it out now.

As for the receive addresses we've changed it because bitcoin addresses are used to receive payments, but not to send them: there is no concept of a "from" address in Bitcoin. Users have pointed it out to us, so we've changed it accordingly. You still can see your 'from' address if you click on the blockexplorer link.

Here is more information: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/From_address

I'm with SMS/Phone notifications when It comes to receiving funds as I suggested once but I really don't see the purpose behind making an sms verification If there is already Google Authenticator , If you really compare you will see that third party services used sometimes fail to send SMS while with 2FA of google there no failure , without mentioning the fact that SMS will cost them money.

For best security I suggest to use 2FA. I know btc.com about 1 month ago and I am interested to continues to use this wallet, I agree this is one of nice wallet. Seen from the features unlike most online wallet, just a suggestion, should also provide a different service that is able to withdraw the money directly to the bank account.

Hi everyone. New here...
I just wanted to know how can I get my bitcoin from btcclicks. I requested a withdrawal 2 days ago, then it said it will be processed within 9 hours. I provided my btc address from localbitcoins.com, still it's not showing up.
I checked my Withdrawals history and this is what appeared

  TRANSACTION ID 66ba69af0a30b31fe5beff67142d6fb0d703ee51caffb66a1238fdfc276e8be2

  Then the amount and date.

When I clicked on the Transaction ID, it redirected me to this link

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/66ba69af0a30b31fe5beff67142d6fb0d703ee51caffb66a1238fdfc276e8be2

I really don't understand this whole thing. I don't know what is blocktrail all about. I hope somebody can help me here. How can I get my paid bitcoins to my btc address in localbitcoins?

Many thanks. :-)

In this case ? BlockTrail is a blockexplorer just like blockchain.info , the transaction ID posted clearly shows that your transaction got confirmed and you should have your bitcoins now (If your address is one of the 201 addresses on that transaction) .

As far as security goes it is good that they have tow factor authentication and that is what makes people use online wallets to store their bitcoin, but like said above try to make an option for withdrawing money, like making a debit card that can be used like any other credit card, I know Xapo provides such a facilty.

It has nothing to do with the wallet Itself as far as I know because all wallets calculate the fees the same way and those are network fees and unlike Multibit HD , BTC.com takes no fees for themselves and I have never experienced any slowness on confirmation times.

I'm facing some issues regarding your wallet in Android. While using trying in  my Galaxy Samsung Tab 3 (Tablet), I had "Loading" with a blank page I kept trying with no luck. I also tried sending funds on the Phone and It keep saying that the PIN is correct or that you couldn't make the transaction. The PIN is 100% correct as I was able to change it and tried retyping a few times.
I can send funds normally on the web wallet but I just thought I should let you know In case you are not aware of the situation already.

Yes I have received this announcement via email, here what is they said.
In the past, BTC.com automatically went with the optimal fee when sending bitcoin, taking into account both cost and speed of your transaction. Our latest update, however, will give you the choice to go with a low priority fee. Rather stick with the optimal fee? No worries  — that option is still available!

Note: The optimal transaction fee is the recommended network fee for a fast confirmation. Sending bitcoin with a low priority fee may result in your transaction remaining unconfirmed for an undesirable amount of time. It's important to remember that the BTC.com wallet is free. Transaction fees are instead paid to the bitcoin network so your transaction is included in the blockchain.

Why in this wallet we cannot change the fee manually. I've 470k satoshi in BTC.com wallet but there is any 3 transaction fee: Optimal, Low priority and Accelerated Priority. In that 3 option only Accelerated Priority provide low fee and 2 option other Optimal and Low priority provide high fee there is 200K+ satoshi. I've succesfully make withdraw with 0.00244459BTC with small fee there is 90k satoshi. I can say that the fee make me disappointed.

Your best bet is to use the Accelerated Priority option, we are helping our users by paying the rest of the fee when using this option.

The bitcoin network is congested and fee's have skyrocketed in the past couple of months, there is nothing we can do there.

Its not really much of a big bug or anything but I thought I should let you guys know anyway. If you click on "Tell a friend" on the mobile app, and the list of apps that you can use for sharing pops up, then you click somewhere else, It will say "thank you" even though you didn't share anything, I believe that should be removed as you should thank the user when they actually share something.

BTC.com has partnered with US-based global digital asset exchange Kraken, leveraging its Kraken Direct service and allowing users to quickly and easily purchase bitcoin directly from the BTC.com wallet!

Kraken Direct currently supports 49 US states, funding bitcoin purchases through ACH bank transfer. BTC.com plans to expand bitcoin purchasing capabilities beyond the United States in the coming weeks.

It's currently impossible to do so and It's not logical either, It's a multi signature wallet and you are only controlling one of the keys.

I appreciate the answer even If it took a little bit longer then usual :) I noticed something else which might be a bug (depends on how you actually developed it in the first place). The amount of transaction they are being shown have fees included, for example If I sent to "X" an amount of 0.01 BTC It will show this on the first page (without even clicking details):

Code:
Sent Bitcoin 2:00 PM                   0.011 BTC

Something like that, It's including the fees there as well, and not simply showing what you sent.

I have checked this just now, It's not the case. I have used my credits in June (I'm not sure which day) and we are now in July and It says that I don't have any remaining credits. You may want to check this out.

I'm also interested in knowing the answer to the question Dhimas Kanjeng asked. I saw Bitmain tweet just now saying that all their pools will be supporting SegWit2x, I assume this is valid for the wallet as well? you won't support both chains (If a chain split happens)? or users will have full control?

Thanks for that, updated link. If we get everyone to signal BIP91(segWit2x) then we avoid a chain-split completely.

EDIT: 80% of hash power is only needed :)

If the hashing power continue as it is right now, we should get SegWit on the next activation period. However, there is another concern now, BitcoinCash is coming no matter what. Should we expect seeing BCC and BTC in our wallets or only one of them since the service is acquired by Bitmain?

You can simply type the information in of course! As the official statement stated, at the moment, we will not be supporting Bitcoin Cash in the wallet, you can however withdraw it if you have an account with us before the hard fork occurs.

It's good to see you're the only online wallet that provides support for BCH by providing a recovery tool.I have a few questions before I use the service.
-> I have a blockchain.info wallet with access to my private keys,is it possible to just export the key into your BCH tool without having to import my wallet into BTC.com's wallet first ?
-> Do I have to transfer my funds into BTC.com wallet and then convert those funds into BCH ?
What are the security risks involved ? How vulnerable is one from getting their coins compromised in the process ?

-> Do I have to transfer my funds into BTC.com wallet and then convert those funds into BCH ?
What are the security risks involved ? How vulnerable is one from getting their coins compromised in the process ?

1. If you have the private keys, I'd suggest using Coinomi android application, just scan the QR code (private key) and you are good to go. The recovery tool is only meant for people who had their funds on BTC.com before the august fork and want to get their BCH now and the fork occured.

2. I'm not entirely sure of what you mean here. If you had BTC before prior the fork as I said earlier, you can claim BCH otherwise you can't. They created a BCH wallet today, you can use it to store BCH there (If you don't want to leave them at exchanges or download an unknown wallet like ElectronCash for example).

Thanks for explaining it.So I can use the coinomi wallet to get my BCH according to the bitcoins stored on my blockchain.info wallet before 1st August ?

So get my BCH from coinomi and store it on the BCH wallet from BTC.com ? Sounds good. Thanks for the info man!

Thanks for the great answer, Omega. Please let us know if you and everyone else reading this for that matter are enjoying the new bitcoin cash wallet.

Honestly? I think It would've been much better If wallets weren't separated, instead being able to switch between the two inside the same link just like Exodus or Jaxx for example but hopefully this could be an update for the future.

Since last week’s bitcoin hard fork, we have received a lot of requests from our wallet users to include Bitcoin Cash support.
We are excited to say that the Bitcoin Cash wallet is now live, allowing you to receive, send, and securely store your Bitcoin Cash!
The Bitcoin Cash wallet is currently available as a web wallet. The mobile app version is coming soon!

I have got the information about BTC.com support for bitcoins cash BCH via email, that is good for BTC.com
Congratulation for all of the user's BTC.com wallet.

If you are afraid that they will steal your bitcoins which I know they won't because I stored some decent amounts in their wallets before, you can always send your bitcoins elsewhere and then type the seed you have there, the worst case scenario here is that you will lose your BCH but again, there is no reason for them to scam you.

Since there is no pending, I believe that the transaction is confirmed? If you can see it on a blockexplorer (blockdozer) then Its very likely that this is only a display issue, have you tried to send it somewhere else? an exchange or another wallet that you control to see If they tell you insufficient funds or not.

Hello. I saw your tool for charging BitcoinCash. I have some questions. Is it safe? I enter the recovery phrase and you get access to my wallet at Blochkchain.info. Can I continue to use the wallet at Blockchain.info? Will I have a wallet with Bcash on BTC.com?

It is safe and you can continue to use your Blockchain.info but If you are afraid that they take your bitcoins as well, you can always move them to another wallet and yes BTC.com do have a BCC wallet but the recovery tool doesn't include that If it works the same as the one I used, they will simply ask you for an address where they want to send the funds to so you will have to make the wallet in your own If you want to store them there.

I have a question: How do you export your wallet? I saw an option to import external wallets but saw none to export. Otherwise, how is it accurate advertising to call your wallet "Putting you in full control"?

Also you guys have advertised about the multisig wallets. I'm a bit confused as to whether this is activated by default on every wallet (so you guys hold a key, the user holds a key so that if any one of the two keys gets compromised the funds aren't lost), or is this optional?

Thanks for your time!

The multi signature wallets are made by default and you can't use something else. As long as your addresses start with 3 instead of 1, you are using multisig. The option to export is more called 'recovery' and you could use it using the PDF document they first gave you through: https://recovery.blocktrail.com/

2. How to transfer money from bitcoin wallet to bitcoincash wallet directly?

1. Settings -> BIG red button that says 'Logout' There is no option to change your bitcoins into bitcoincash (yet)
2. You cannot transfer bitcoin to a bitcoin cash wallet, they are two different coins.

We are working to make the app seamless, i.e. so you wont have to log out and log back in when using one or the other. Stay tuned

I switched to English and now I can see. Thx. But u have to correct your russian version. In Russian it says not "logout" but "reset wallet". Also, if u press the button it says "all your data will be deleted".

So the only way to get bitcoincash is to buy them on exchange and transfer to bitcoincash wallet?

Correct, at the moment, you will have to get bitcoincash from an exchange then transfer to your btc.com bitcoin cash wallet.

Thankyou

3 Transactions not yet confirmed for up to one week ! And this because your system didn't calculated the right fees and minimal required for it !!!

I can't even extract my private keys in order to use them in another service or local application !

Thanks. So if i start using the BTC.com wallet, i'll automatically be using the multisig wallet?

But who holds the individual keys to claim the btc? For example do i hold a key and btc.com hold a key, or do i just hold all my keys(which sort of defeats the purpose of multisignature wallets in the first place, doesn't it)?

Is there any way to recover my btc.com wallet without the btc.com website functioning? Or rather is there an offline way to do it, even when btc.com is down?

Sorry for so many questions. Plus are you involved with btc.com? Thought neutralLTC was the forum rep here.

The wallet is automatically multi signature yes. You are holding a key and BTC.com is holding another one, the recovery page is open source: https://github.com/blocktrail/wallet-recovery-tool You can always download it and run it locally If you wish to. Finally, no, I'm not affiliated with BTC.com, I just like the services they provide so If you have a bug to report etc. Its better to contact neutralLTC.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the reply, once again.

however since btc.com holds one of the keys if they decide to shut down their service for whatever reason and not provide the keys that would otherwise 'unlock' the bitcoin balance, what would users be able to do?

Would they still be able to use the opensource tool even if BTC.com does not provide its keys?

Sorry for the trouble, once again. I'm just looking for an alternative web wallet to use and btc.com looks interesting.

According to their FAQ: https://www.blocktrail.com/faq You should be able to restore your funds even If their services are not longer available and you don't necessarily need to use their recover page, you can use Bitcoin core for this process.

Do you know how they do it? I assume that the their part of the keys are hosted in a server somewhere, perhaps it is generated through the seed instead?

But doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of having a multisignature wallet in the first place because of the fact that anyone with the recovery phrase could go and retrieve the amount of bitcoins without having to get the other part of the key from blocktrail?

Would be nice if neutralLTC can give a more comprehensive explanation...

The recovery document should be safe otherwise you will lose your coins obviously. I could be wrong so hopefully neutralLtc will confirm this but I believe the way It works is there is three keys. A primary key (the one you control), a backup key (never used unless you want to recover funds), and the BlockTrail key (this key alone is not enough to access your funds) used to co-sign transactions with your primary key. Then there is the BIP39 Mnemonic which have both your primary and backup key, and its used to recover your funds.

From what i can see right now, there are at least 3 users affected by perhaps a bug in the btc.com site. Streamplus, mombay and bitasker. I understand that the blockchain fees are high right now but i don't think that's the reason for 3 people to have similar problems with the same wallet at once.

Asking for $400 is sort of ridiculous, imo. I don't think that any transaction apart from mass payments with tons of inputs and outputs which i assume you guys don't even offer on your site would require such high fees.

Please fix this up whoever's in charge. You're really putting your reputation on the line here.

Why in the earth you can't set minimal fees to 0.0001 BTC in order to use accelerator to solve the issue ! I am sure you did that just in order to use your accelerator that cost x3 amount of the transaction !

PLEASE FIX IT ASAP

What photos are you talking about? If you are referring to the PDF document then you don't need it to spend your funds and If you are referring to 2FA, then It make no sense because there is no photo to delete as Google authenticator generate a new code each 30 seconds which makes any old codes invalid.

I created the purse on iMac, and PDF and qr code with the password for google auth I photographed on the phone from the computer screen! These photos and removed my child. All that I now have is my mail, the password from the wallet! I ask for support to disable 2fa so that I can use my wallet.

Hi,
I just sent a transaction from your system !

A BTC value of 100$ ... and imagine what ar the fees:
https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/314e64347c851252b728b87676e8225961f9f08a2874f417a4896c89667defff

Is this serious ?! How to recover my BTC please ? How to set the minimum fees required for a transaction ?!

WTF ... When i tried to use your accelerator it ask for 15$ in order to accelerate it :o

Please manage to recover my transaction, and want it to be sent with minimum fees of 0.0001 BTC.

You have two options while sending: low fees (I believe you used this one) and optimal and there is no possibility to change the fees other then that. I can see that your transaction got confirmed but in case you want to switch to another wallet, you could go to recovery.blocktrail.com and follow the given instructions.

I came across another bug regarding your new feature 'My addresses' where our addresses are displayed. It displays my addresses and the one that has balance is in green but it shows 0. I could be wrong but probably the wrong variable is used so anything after the decimal point is not displayed.

https://i.imgur.com/U2ViFVU.png

I would also like to suggest adding a way to sort addresses or having them sorted automatically by balance and usage. If someone have used your wallet for a long time and received funds multiple times, it could be hard to go through all pages and finally, the usage column should probably only show incoming transactions and not outgoing too because the recommendation is to use a new address each time you want to 'receive' bitcoins so that would make more sense.

I believe that they didn't ban anything, It's the exchanges who took the decisions by themselves to close because the government banned ICOs. Either way, from taking a look at this: https://www.linkedin.com/company/btc-com It seems like the headquarters are not in China so even If they were acquired by Bitmain at some point, they shouldn't close.

Wow!

First time using BTC.com wallet

Setup the account, Success!

Did first wallet transfer, Success!

Tried to logout and login , FAIL !!

Tried PDF recovery , FAIL !!

what's the deal?

The only other procedure I attempted was to enable multi-device authentication, said password was incorrect.
Then I logged out, could not log back in.

I logged today to my mobile wallet and It's now asking for the PIN code in order to see the wallet balance and transaction? It usually just start loading and shows me everything, the PIN was only required for sending. I checked your wallet in Play store and I couldn't find anything about this. The last update was pushed in 5th October and I believe everything was fine then. So is this a phishing attempt or you actually did something from your part?

Been using BTC.com wallet on iOS for about 4-5 months now without issue.  Today I updated the app and then it subsequently prompted me to login, and then asked for 2fa key.  I go to Authy for my key, it is no longer there.  Need the QR code within the wallet to re-add the key.  Restore from the PDF backup?  Nope, my hard drive and all docs were wiped 2 months ago when updating systems.

Do I have any recourse here or are my coins and wallet access lost forever?  I obviously have username, password, pin #, wallet #, coin amount, etc.  I don't understand why Authy dropped my key for btc.com wallet, nor do I really understand why 2fa was required again after the update, as opposed to just the pin.

Someone give me some hope!

The fees are out of control. I'm trying to send 0.2 BTC and the fees are 0.008 BTC (60$ with current rates) for optimal and 0.006 for Low priority and no, my addresses are not used to receive multiple micro payments. The accelerated priority seem to have some decent fees but again, it's bugged, the fees shown below the amount and address you type are lower then the one shown where you're asked to type your password and 2FA code for some reason.

Hi!
I can’t transfer money from my wallet.
Screenshot below http://i.piccy.info/i9/985f02716a0293ff9b32f94237afdf26/1511959513/124023/1200771/47MZ39fUSdiCqk86DMTWfA.png
I created a wallet for a long time ago using data from blocktrail. The account was first registered on blocktrail (as developer), then switched to wallet.btc by logging in using the same data. It was a long time ago (more than 2 months ago) and I can’t remember whether the system offered me to save a pdf file. In my application, it appears that the backup of the wallet is saved, but I don’t even know where it is stored. http://i.piccy.info/i9/609f7357ff84bf325bc6b0bb20b27d46/1511959581/216654/1200771/export.png
I have all the downloads saved on the computer, but I did’t find this backup pdf. Unsuspecting, I kept my money on this wallet, but now I wanted to transfer part of it, I can’t do it. I have access to a wallet on your service. I can enter it with a browser, android and iPhone application.
But I can not do anything with bitcoins on account.
If necessary, I can confirm that this is my wallet in any way you want. I'm afraid that the bitcoins haven’t disappeared, I hope for your understanding and help.
I wrote to technical support, but I haven't received a reply yet. Here I painted the problem in more detail.
Waiting for Your answer!
Thank you.

After having communicated with the support of this wallet, I can conclude that this is nothing but a scam.

My issue began in December 2016 where I recieved a small amount of satoshi on the wallet,
unable to send the money to another wallet as fee was much higher than the balance, I just
figured that the balance needs to be higher to grow past the fee.

As the months passed by, I recieved a total of 10 deposits to the wallet, every single time the fee grew
higher than the balance itself.

The balance is currently: 0.00122412 Bitcoin ≃ $12.46
The fee they claim it costs to send: 0.00450204 Bitcoin ≃ $45.82

I do several transactions of bitcoin every single day from other wallets and there is NONE of them which
requires such an extreme "network" fee.

Furthermore, upon requesting the BCH-cosigning to be enabled in my initial ticket, it got ignored.

Probably not. It should be the same as importing an individual private key in your Blockchain.info wallet. Your seed will only be able to restore the addresses derivated from the seed, and not the ones imported afterwards.

Also, Trezor is a BIP44 wallet, It should work too, no?
Not sure why someone would import a Trezor wallet in a web wallet. It's a waste of the extra security you get with a hardware wallet. (Maybe if you have your old wallet seed but doesn't have the device anymore)

But if it's a BIP44 seed, it should work. And if it's a BIP39 seed, you can convert it to BIP44 with the iancoleman's tool.

Hi there,

I issued a payment nearly 2 days ago for a push service (https://pushtx.btc.com/#/). I paid via TrustPay. My transaction is still stuck and I didn't get any confirmation at all. How do I know when/if btc.com took care of my transaction? Unfrtunately I can only send 1 pm/day on this forum. As my transaction is stuck for some days now, I really would appreciate any progress in that matter. I can provide the details, I just need to know where I can contact someone of btc.com/the push service.

Thanks & cheers.

Is there is anyway to delete our accounts (with no ability to recover it)? I have some funds left in the account but I don't really care as the fees will be higher then the amount being sent anyway.

Nope. We are working around the clock on different ways to reduce the fees for our users.

Is it just me or is the transaction fee for sending BTC too crazy? it is now at 0.04BTC or about $600 to send any amount while bitinfochart.com shows its about $55...

Any way to send my btc off from BTC.com's wallet with lesser fee? I don't mind slower transaction speed.

I already reported this issue multiple times and I ended up leaving the wallet and some of my funds there. No, there is no way because they only allow two options and both are overpriced. As stupid as this may sound to some people, I'm starting to believe they are doing this on purpose to make people switch to BCH.

Damn, overpriced is an understatement here, how can they charge more than the average transaction fee of any other wallets out there? this is a rip-off.

I have 0.04btc here, and I cant even cover the transaction fee. How can I even switch to BCH when my funds are stuck?

BitcoinCash is an altcoin (a fork from bitcoin with bigger blocks). What I meant is that If they manage to convince people that bitcoin fees are that high, people would stop using bitcoin and start using BCH, I could be wrong though.

I get what you meant, but I have to move my btc to an exchange to trade for bch. I know the fees are high, but its definitely not this high.

Hello! I use btc.com, but lost 2FA authorization.
I read that there is an opportunity to apply for support to reset the 2FA authorization. I made 2 tickets to support@btc.com: 322445, 325874. But support did not answer from 01/05/2018.
Is there a chance to reset the authorization using support or I need to recover wallet through https://recovery.blocktrail.com/?
Do I need to pay transfer fee when I will make recover?

I forgot If they give private key for the 2FA code. If they do that, you can use it to recover your 2FA. If not, use it the recovery tool you just linked and yes, It will basically ask you for an address to send the funds to so there will be fees to pay.

I tried this service to recovery, yes all ok, my funds all right (BTC/BCH). But I done to last step, and no info about fee, I am canceled yet recovery.
Want just reset 2FA, all documents (ID, screenshots from wallet, IP and so on) I provided to support. On other wallets its standart procedure to reset 2FA, for example through sms or email.

https://blog.btc.com/update-more-options-to-choose-your-transaction-fee-416375a2b269 (https://blog.btc.com/update-more-options-to-choose-your-transaction-fee-416375a2b269)

Update: More options to choose your transaction fee
The BTC.com wallet has just released a new feature to give users more freedom to choose their preferred transaction fee.
Due the increased Bitcoin transaction fees, many users wish to have more control over the fee they pay. That’s why the BTC.com wallet released a new option for users to pick the fee that best fits their goals.

Instead of the previous 2 levels (Low fee — slower, and Optimal — higher), now our wallet users can choose between 3 options:

Low: Pay the lowest fee when you have time to wait for your transaction to confirm. This options saves cost but can lead to high waiting times.
Optimal: The middle ground, where you pay a higher fee than in the “Low” category but you can expect a shorter confirmation time.
Priority: Do you need to push your transaction fast? Then “Priority” is the right choice. Bear in mind however, that priority transactions cost more as you have to outbid some other users in the waiting queue.
At the moment, the new levels are available for our web wallet users, and soon they will be rolled out also for mobile app users.

How much transaction fee is recommended?
It’s a complicated questions that depends on multiple factors:

Time pressure: Do you need your transaction to confirm quickly to become spendable or do you have time to wait?
Network peak times: Some periods are more busy than others in the Bitcoin network. When many users want to make transactions, the limited supply of blocks meets high demand. This can make fees, that would be normally enough, less competitive.
Size of the transaction: Despite the common misbelief, the amount of bitcoin you send does not impact the fee. What impacts the fee is the size of the transaction data. Without going into details, when users receive many small transactions frequently, the size of their transactions tend to become larger. If you often make bitcoin transactions, choose a wallet like BTC.com that has support for Segwit.
The BTC.com wallet uses a dynamic fee strategy to determine the best fee for a particular transaction. We recommend our users to use the default “Optimal” setting for their transactions. This accounts for all factors to determine the optimal fee.

Why do we pay transaction fees?
Every bitcoin transaction must be added to the blockchain in order to be valid. When you click “send” in your wallet, you submit your transaction to the bitcoin network. “Miners” collect, verify and bundle transactions into a block and one miner appr. every 10 minutes wins the right to add his/her block to the blockchain.

Miners are incentivized to pick transactions with higher fees because when they get the right to add their block, they can keep the transaction fees from all transactions in that block. It’s important to keep miners motivated because their work secures the bitcoin network. Remember, wallets never receive transaction fees, only the miners.

When a lot of people want to send transactions, you have to bid higher to ensure that your transaction is included in the next block(s).

If you have questions or feedback, please send us a message to support@btc.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Blocktrail.com's Bitcoin explorer seems to be handling the children of double spent transactions incorrectly, by keeping the child even though it spends an non existent (anymore) parent. Talking about this specifically for the address 3NSvhvYYBMVh1bPyKWjPfyiF3RHAAgsgtw (https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/address/3NSvhvYYBMVh1bPyKWjPfyiF3RHAAgsgtw/transactions), where transaction aeda87df670ffb542404b4aaa3c43f43d7924ef18acbc049ee3fa9c9bbe395f3 (https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/aeda87df670ffb542404b4aaa3c43f43d7924ef18acbc049ee3fa9c9bbe395f3) seems to subtract from the balance even though it is not valid. Works on BTC.com, but I thought I should let you know.

BTC.com has BLOCKED MY IP for over two weeks and not responded to my tickets...
I have lost access to my BCH account and suffered a HUGE loss because of their incompetence and poor service.

I recently changed my password of my BCH wallet.. (ONLY BECAUSE THEY RECOMMENDED IT...IT WAS FINE AND WORKING FOR MANY MONTH BEFORE THE UPGRADE !!!!)
I was given a secret bunch of words needed for recovery..mnemonic

I was VERY careful to write it down EXACTLY...it was entered twice to be updated so there was no chance of mistaking it.
I saved the secret words mnemonic they sent me..

Immediately after the password I receive email confirmation of the change and proceeded to the wallet ONLY TO BE TOLD the password/login info was NOT correct..

BULL...FUCKING SHIT..it was the correct exact one from only a few minuted earlier..
I tried the recovery procedure only to be told the the secret word mnemonic was NOT correct...BULL FUCKING SHIT it is the exact one  I JUST RECEIVED...

Now over two weeks and several tickets later

AND STILL NO ANSWER OR SUPPORT......

.....

I should have know better than to trust these fuckers......I KNEW that NO BCH wallet is SAFE...
this is the second time I have had large amount of BCH STOLEN because of the FUCKING SHIT WALLETS...

I think they are supported anywhere.

Actually, (AFAIK) BTC.com (Bitmain) is based in China.

According to BTC.com security system if they detect suspicious login attempts to access your account it will automatically disable your wallet. So, if someone trying to attempt to login with different IP it will automatically disable the cosigning or your wallet.

Hi @neutraLTC,

any info on the recent issues Blocktrail API users are experiencing with webhook notifications not being sent?

I have not been receiving any payment confirmation notification from BTC.com since monday, despite having correctly set up my webhooks and address transactions subscriptions. It worked perfectly until sunday evening.
Now it seems the notifications are just not being sent anymore, so when a user of my online store purchases an item using Bitcoin, their order status remains as "pending payment" because my webhook's URL is not receiving confirmation when the user actually sends BTC to my dev.btc.com wallet...

Same thing happens in Testnet mode or using another account. I made a few test transactions using a Webhook Tester URL in order to check what BTC.com is POSTing to my webhook, and it did not receive anything, so the obvious conclusion is that BTC.com is simply not sending any notifications whatsoever.

I already sent an email about it to support 2 days ago but they didn't answer... Are these issues being fixed? Are the BTC.com developers even aware there is a major problem with the service?

Your help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You should've used a hardware wallet with that large amount. I suggest buying one as soon as you get your funds back.

I've seen people with similar issues to yours before and sometimes unresponsive support exactly like in your case but If you check the last pages of this thread, they always get replies.

Instead of calling them scammers (I'm not affiliated with them) try to be a little bit more patient and see how it goes.

A lot of people had this problem during the last few months but they got solved. If you have the necessary documents, just wait for the support response. I doubt you will get anything here because OP didn't connect for two weeks.

OP no longer works for BTC.com so he's probably not monitoring this thread.

I've had a ticket open for nearly three weeks over another prob, BCH not showing up in wallet after using the splitting tool they provided, it was a very small amount so it's no big deal, they did acknowledge the ticket saying "Our offices will be closed from 4 February to 10 February in observance of the Chinese New Year. Responses to your inquiries may be delayed as a result"

I know someone else who had the same problem as me and as far as I know, they've had no response to their ticket yet either.
