What if POKEMON GO let people sell the pokemons they caught for fraction of Bitcoins?

Imagine this:
(user loyalty reward program)
A person caught a Pokemon and sell them for 0.0003526 BTC

People who collects Pokemon can buy or sell them on the online marketplace.
People from all over the world would have exotic rare pokemons for sell on the marketplace.

I'm sure other augmented reality video games companies are jumping on board to develop 'earn while you play' video game loyalty reward system.

Sounds like a good plan actually, some pokemon won't be worth anything though, like weedle, or caterpie.

But for the rare ones, I can see people doing that, but how are you going to stop the cheaters, because there are people out there playing the game on PC, and they are able to change their location to catch pokemon without even playing, so they shouldn't be able to just make money off doing that.

The game needs to make a lot of improvements with this type of things for BitCoin being implemented into the game.

Well in my suggestion if it will happen it much interisting than it is now, if Pokemon go able to earn bitcoin , I will catch them all now  ;D and sell it on market place , but seriously it will be a good I dea if they do that it will help also bitcoin community.

i think its not a good idea because pokemon go is played also by underage or kids. tha main purpose of the game is to explore and enjoy the game catching different pokemons. Anything that involves money always gives a bad impact to a user. for example if i have a rare pokemon and can be sell in high price. many user will be interested in my account because of market value therefor stealing and hacking will be a threat for me. and going outside is very dangerous. i think this game must be for fun only and not for profit. there are so many gambling casino and trading site out there and that is enough. hhahahah

I don't think they will allow it well on their system anyways. But on the blackmarket sure anything goes on there. ;)

I am not really fascinated with Pokemon Go, I do not know why many people are enthusiastic about it.  I maybe part of the 10% who are not interested with this game app.  BUT, if that is the case, I will now install pokemon go on may cellphone and will use every chance to CATCH THEM ALL!  If I need to go to the mountains, I will.  lol.  Seriously, I will install it for the idea of earning bitcoins.  Hope it will not happen cause I might regret the fact that I have no interest on pocket monsters before.

it's a good thing I think, if pokemon go have a service to sell traded pokemon with bitcoin, I think so many pokemon steps that will be sold with expensive, even accounts pokemon go too much on selling premises. an incredible price. Well, if it really happens, most likely the price will go up and probably bitcoin bitcoin will become more popular

Personally I think fun and money don't go well together, when I'm having fun, the last thing I wanna to do is think about money. With money comes serious thinking, strategy, plans, stress etc and all that tends to spoil the fun for me. This may sound a bit weird, I can make money and have fun doing it but I can't really have fun if money is involved  ::)
If the fun is money based to begin with, for example day trading, then it's total fine but if the fun exists independently of money, then adding money to the experience makes everything less fun (for me). 

This would be a great idea in my opinion but it will never happen. Someone would have to pay for all these free bitcoins. Just look at the hundreds of millions of Pokémon go users, no one can afford to give them all free bitcoins.

It will ruined the fun. That's why pokemon owners are called trainer in the first place.

And I see no fun if you just get those special pokemon because you just buy it. You can't even bragged it to others.

That would obviously increase Bitcoin's users number with tens/hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions! And it'd mean a big, big step for us in front of the Altcoins. However, I can't see this happening for now. Only if the devs would take some commission from the transactions, making it profitable for both of us and them. What if we'll all suggest them this idea? Coming from one guy, we'd see no changes. We need more people for them to consider this idea!

Cheaters can be detected by putting a code in Pokemon go software to detect PC users or Mobile phone users.

Someone else can always create a different smartphone game similar to Pokemon go and let people sell their 'monster' they caught in online marketplace.

Monster, Inc. (from Disney movie) might be interested in something like that.

Nice idea, having a marketplace for Pokemon and being able to trade them for Bitcoin. Interesting idea.

The only issue; there are no "rare" Pokemon aside from maybe 3-4 dozen (within the ENTIRE franchise may I add) and the spawn rates for most Pokemon within the game make it so that every Pokemon can be relatively be easily caught, crashing the market. Tweaking the rates and changing that now means that you might have a Pay-to-win game (via a marketplace for stronger Pokemon) and that would turn people off from it, at least for most places.

Also, GPS spoofing and Pokemon farmers would become a thing, and they would massacre the market. There would be no value left if you had enough people running phones using spoofing software to get and sell rare Pokemon. Solving this issue is not always easy, and coding a program to put on a jailbroken phone or android device would negate the ability to determine whether the person was running from a PC or phone.

With the unlimited distribution of Pokemon are you sure you can sell Pokemon for bitcoin? I think a lot of pokespam will appear. it's too bad. All of the people will become the bot users.

That's a good point to be honest, because when you compare it to something like World of Warcraft of whatever that had a ton of gold farmers at some point who would literally take the most valuable resource in the game and farm it into near worthlessness, how do you think it would play out on a free mobile game with a marketplace that uses a currency that can be directly exchanged to cash? Everyone and their mother would have a farmer working doubly so to catch as many Pokemon as possible and proceed to crash the value.

I am afraid many money seeker(cheaters) will appear, and play every minute to make the money, and more and more cheat bots will be made, like other Internet games bots.

This can be easily solved by linking this to a exchange environment, where supply & demand determine the price. You can also created limited edition Pokemon's per week, that would only be available for that week. A lot more work will go into the creation of unique Pokemon's when monetary value is added.

The game as it is now, do not offer this option and are not geared for these unique Pokemon's, but it can be changed.

For Pokemon to allow people to earn bitcoins, players have to pay something before playing.

Of course there will be more players once they know they can earn something from it.

BTC transaction time can be up to 24 hours and more, Pokemon players are very busy people - they do not want to wait so long. This is most important difficulty in this.  ;D

I really like the idea and how it works seen in their youtube video. In my view, This app can be considered as pokeman go alternative where we can earn/collect free bitcoins dropped by other.

You are wrong sir, they are worth a lot, since its basic way of progressing (mass evolution) so every popular pokemon is worth smth :).

If Pokemon GO can let people earn bitcoin, i'm 100% sure, it will make more people to play pokemon GO and all bitcoin user will try this game. Pokemon GO combine with bitcoin is really good idea.

Well you might catch them for free, but if these Pokemon items can have limited quantities, then not all people will be able to get them. If there is a demand for something and people are allowed to trade, then people will pay insane amounts to get them. Just look at Bitcoin as a example. ^smile^ The problem comes in, when these items are faked. I would suggest putting some sort of Blockchain based technology in place, where a item is digitally stored and reflected on a open transparent system, like the Blockchain. You can then exchange and trade these items, because it cannot be faked. ^hmmmm^

That's right, very useless for buying if they can get it for free. maybe a lot of people in here will always catching the pokemon for every day in their life. :D

This is not the first time I see something like this so I want to ask a question. Is this really happening frequently? I mean when the time of transaction is more than say 5 hoyrs. Because the longest I've experienced was less than 30 minutes.

As for the question in the topic, I think it's a great idea and that Nintendo or Niantic or whoever is in charge of that should seriously consider it.

Who will pay? I dont think John Hanke will be paying for it. They want to create money not spend more for them to be broke. It will just make them fall. Who will pay the developers and other workers there when it is them that is paying us just playing. That is the main purpose of this games that is why they are thriving to create the best game ever. To get more money.

It would be really cool if you could sell the pokemons for Bitcoin. I think the novelty of the game is already staring to die out. If they add bitcoins in the equation it will live forever because there is a stronger incentive than simply catching them for no reason.

There is a project to merge Pokemon Go with Bitcoin here on this forum, in the Project Development section I believe.

Hmmm. Thats nice. I played a little of it and caught many pokémons. Its really addictive and i guess many more people will be addicted since it can be profitable when it happens. You can sell pokémon at a fraction of bitcoin is all a promotin to bitcoin. If theres a sell, theres a buy and you can only buy pokémon buy bitcoin.

Bad idea. If you monetize something like this, you're just asking for it to be botted, exploited and hacked. Pokemon go already has tons of botters, why would you want to add more?

Yeah we all know that if this will happen the game will destroy, but the benefit we can earn to much. I'm a Pokemon Go player and I'm currently using a GSP Hack, It's easy for me to hunt Pokemon. For me this will be a good idea but for true Pokemon fans will disagree for this idea.

This is would be really nice if this will happen, and before that pokemon go must accept bitcoin as payment first to buy some stuffs in pokemon go like buying pokeballs or egg incubators. Because this game will be very great if that will happen, but first and foremost they must ban all those botters and cheaters for this game. it is a good thing. bitcoin will be growing for the pokemon games go very much. bitcoin will be helped because the pokemon go will surely begin to know bitcoin.

First of all, you can't do it until trading is allowed on Pokemon GO. I guess you could sell accounts with BTC, but not Pokemon.

Secondly, I don't think that it would take off like CSGO trading as the hack has already been developed. It even tells you where good Pokemon's are. Since many people have the hack, what is the point of selling them an >2000CPU Dragonite? Can't they  just catch it themselves?

i'm pretty sure that won't be happen but if someday pokemon go devs considering this idea i think most of bitcoin users will start to play these game and catching pokemon will not only just for fun because that could be also as side earnings and the good impact is most players will became an bitcoiners and that was really good for future of bitcoin

This is a "What if" question, not a "Can I" question. OP's asking whether or not it would be a good idea.

1. It's CP, not CPU.
2. It's hard to get dragonites even with hacks.
3. Niantic will just come up with better anti-cheats. Currently they don't have much of an incentive to.

First of all we must think about who will pay this?
Second is I don't think they are the one who will be paying up. The main reason for creating this kind of games is to have more money. To profit from it. They won waste all their knowledge just for fun or for people to gain. They want to be paid for the job they do and they did it good. That is why there are premium items inside the game. That is for their profit not for others.

I doubt that will happen. I have played some online games and I dont see something that will make you earn something from it. Maybe in getting stronger and selling items but not through freebies.

Yes, much of what has been done is that we can earn money by selling the inventory of the game that we play. For example just like dota, with me playing dota dota also often sell items to friends. And I think pokemon can apply it. Just IMO

This one is the best idea if the owner or the developer work for it so that we can sell our pokemons into bitcoin because sometimes we don't use our pokemons for a duel and sample if you are going to poke stop and you are going to sell you pokemon into bitcoin that would be awesome isn't ? we can earn more bitcoin by selling :D

well, if that will happen, i think more people will like play Pokemon GO since they will earn from it and it will also be a good advertisement for bitcoin since Pokemon GO is very much known worldwide! but i doubt if the developer of Pokemon GO will do it since it has been released in the market already but it is really a nice idea :D

I may be part of the 5 % who are not interested in the application of this game . because I was not really blown away by Pokemon Go. I also do not know why many people are enthusiastic about Pokemon Go. However , if that happens , I will install the pokemon and to look at every opportunity to catch everything.if I have to go to the mountains , I will . seriously , I will put to productive ideas in Bitcoins . Hope it probably will not happen

I'm not favor in this thing, Pokemon Go was made only for fun in the kids, it is not suitable in my opinion to do this. There are other games that we can use to apply bitcoin. If ever this thing can't be stop, well the player must pay Satoshi first before they can start the game. All this things is my opinion only, Thanks... :)

Pokemons aren't worth anything tbh. You can easily catch them, you just have to get out of your house and turn on your GPS. I think the only Pokemons that would actually sell are the rare and legendary ones. The pokemons that you can easily find somewhere will not be sold in the market.

People have caught a lot of Pokemon as of today. There are even people on Youtube that has completed all of them. If your idea is going to be implemented, then they should wipe the whole progress of everyone and make the hunting of Pokemons harder. Otherwise, the pokemons would have little to no value at all.

If that so, I will start to install pokemon app on my cellphone.  I actually watched the anime series when I was in high school.  I actually like Jessie, the girl villain together with her brother with of course meowth.

This would be a good idea because people are flocking now playing pokemon go. It would be good if they will allow bitcoin to be deposited in the game to use in some activities and then they will be allowed to withdraw bitcoin also. When someone catch a rare pokemon, he/she would be able to sell it or trade it with other pokemon and then there should also be like a marketplace. People are already enjoying playing it how much more if they can earn from it.

Well i think that pokemon go would not let us, because:
1) no profits for them probably
2) they would have to accept bitcoin as their payment method too
3) i doubt many people would be interested about i

I don't think this is completely true actually, I thought there were quite a few pokemon in the game that were locked by region and the only way to get them is through hatching an egg.

as a pokemon fans i definitely interested in this method, so the players can earn while they play and they can collect all the pokemon they want so its a win win situation for the player and the collector, however if this happen it will decrease the excitement of the game, somebody probably just going to sit inside of the house and just using money to buy the pokemon , so eventhough i am interested but i am rejecting this idea

If pokemon can be trade globally , why not ? It's will be another opportunity to bussiness
Some people may take this advantage since there are some pokemon that only available on specific country
And for bitcoin , it may positively impace on transaction market which cause positive value

If people are going to buy/sell Pokemons, then the application should have a trading feature for this to happen which the app obviously don't have. I think if this idea gets implemented, it will only make the bot-users and GPS fakers push harder and get the rare pokemons. As of now, there are not much interactions that you can do with PokemonGo, all you can do is catch pokemon and battle the gym leader (AKA guy who's obviously using bot and/or fake GPS) so buying/selling pokemons would be for the sole purpose of collecting them.

I think it would be good for bitcoin. pokemon players very much will make the greater bitcoin users. This is mutually beneficial. I strongly support.

Just wanted to mention that, while it might be fun discuss these 'What if ...' scenarios, the chances of this being implemented are close to zero.
And I think there have been other topics that basically asked the same question, so I don't really see the point in having this discussion again.

That's just about the sad reality. Even though the idea is actually really good in bitcoin's perspective, the chances aren't really the same as that. I believe the volatility of bitcoin's value plays just about the majority of why even the biggest companies don't want to integrate bitcoin payment system.

Even if you acquire God skillz in Flappy coin, you're just going to earn dust. Also, flappy coin is so boring, the gameplay and the graphics is the worst, the game of flappy coin isn't even the dev/owner's idea. The only advantage of flappy coin over your "pokemon coin" idea is that you can't cheat in flappy coin.

Pokemon Coin might be a "good" idea but there are tons of people out there that are using bots and Fake GPS, if they really do implement this idea, then they are just giving away money to buggers.

Why giving away Bitcoins is going to decrease the Bitcoin price? The only one who loses money would be Niantic in this case, Bitcoin won't get affected.

there will be more people in this world who will recognize and know bitcoin. This could be a great destination to advertise. bitcoin users and also users of Pokemon games is very large.

I don’t think letting people earn bitcoin by playing Pokemon Go is a good idea because this game is meant to be fun and entertaining, and if we let bitcoin involved in this game, it won’t simply be a game anymore and people will see it as a place to earn money and when that happens, what’s the real point of playing this.
Pokemon Go’s aim is to make players have to stand up and go around to catch pokemons so if you buy some rare pokemons on the online marketplace, why do you even play this game for? It tents to be fun, don’t turn it into something that deals with money.

I don't think Niantic would ever consider this. If Pokemen Go accounts can be used as wallets then they'd be a real target for thieves. There are already cases here in our place of bad guys using lures to lure in people and snatch their phones.  :'(

That would be nice to get people know about Bitcoin, I will surely support it if this could really happen. Thing like this is similar to Steam Community Market, where people around the world can sell their items in game and the other people can buy it. But with Bitcoin it could be better because you can easily use the money after you selling it.

if someone opens a private marketplace like that and there is a method to send pokemons to others then it will have some success (until the HYPE of the game fades anyway), it would get allot of attention from multiple countries too if it offered earning possibilities.

In my assessment this is not a good a idea, Why? many individuals will become addicted into it. Like what happen here in my country, our government  gave an ordinance to the community. Because the number of the of the bad guys increase, the number of the lazy student increase, and etc.In addition to that matter the adults is not the only one who can play this thing but also a kid's can play it too. Remember The mind of the Adult has a Big different than for a mind for a Kid's.

Actually it deals with money. If you want to be really the best in this game tou can buy some of the items in their shop to make it really fast, like the double experience. This is a game where Niantic will be the winner not the players, same with other games.

Well it wouldn't be fun or entertaining anymore, but ti would also cost Nintendo infinite amounts more money than what they'd make, and unless there was some really elaborate scheme or something to keep it all going, there is no way that they would even consider letting their players earn money. There is a reason that most games that do this end up failing after not very long.

Also, Pokemon Go seems to be dying quickly, at least in my area. I think the devs screwed up too much and they're alienating their playerbase. I don't know about the rest of the world, but here there are maybe a few players in the busy areas at best.

buy and selling pokemons are really a good business since there are 100m users of pokemon go right now. I will probably be buying pokemon with a cheaper price using bitcoin then sell them in fiat. In anyways i can also hunt it for my self then sell it in fiat or bitcoin

Playing pokemon go is really fun being able to fulfill a childhood dream of catching pokemons. When I am watching cartoons, I would imagine myself being part of it and doing it in real life is a dream come true. If I am earning bitcoin also, that would be a plus because I am enjoying even though I am not earning from it how much more if I earn from it.

Well someone is already offering a service on catching or leveling a pokemon for bitcoin. I think it will be great for both industry. Bitcoin and pokemon go because both industry have different user base.  Merging the two will likely create a very huge costumer ranging from all ages.  And Im sure i will be one of the people outside to catch rare pokemon to trade or sell for bitcoin.

Me as well. when i heard this one during 2 years ago i started to get excited about it. Good thing by now is that i already know bitcoin and i think that it is a good platform for me to earn also while enjoying the game.

Our currency doesn't need any promotion at all. The bitcoin community is good as it is. Although some extra amount of people and some new whales would be good but you don't wanna fill this community with people that has an IQ that only do nothing but play Pokemon Go all day.

Yep, the only difference of Pokemon Go and its major downside over the real Pokemon experience is that you cannot battle other people. You can only go outside and spend hours walking/running to catch Pokemon with no other reason but to battle the gym leader. You can't compete with your friend unless your friend is a gym leader.

Despite of all the bugs and glitches of Pokemon Go, earning some real money out of it would be really good and would be a way to introduce Bitcoin to PokemonGo users and vice versa.

You don't have to worry on that one because i heard a rumor that in the next updates it would now be possible to battle with other players. As of now we just have to keep on hunting pokemons.

This could bring a lot of attention to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. More importantly is that more people will view Bitcoin as a form of (pure) gaming digital currency instead of (mature) gaming currency. However this is unlikely to happen officially - despite the fact that Nintendo is a Japan based country and where (a lot of people think) that Satoshi Nakamoto came from. There is still room for fan made Pokemon trading site but the creator will need to handle some copyright issue.

Many people right now are making money in this game there is people that autopilot for there account to catch all pokemon go after that they will give back it to owner and receive a payment.. almost $20 usd to $100 usd for this service online.. but its still good that if there is someone can contact the devs of pokemon go try to offer bitcoin as payment and add their payment processor i think it can help for bitcoin to know by other people..

Adding bitcoin to Pokemon Go would also mean putting a trading feature. Putting a trading feature would even be better but it would make the Pokemons less valuable since you'd be able to buy/sell from other people and most people that has rare pokemons are just using bots to get them. And since a lot of people are doing this method, the supply in the market would be a lot = Pokemons even less valuable.

The PokemonGo services right now is overpriced to be honest considering the efforts that's needed. Anyone that has a computer can download a PokemonGo bot software. But just like in other games, that service will later on become cheaper and cheaper.

In that case , my opinion is it will work but for a short time only. aside from not all of us in this world have bitcoin, there will be a time that all the levels and stages on that game will be reached and after they reach all of it, no one will buy pokemon by btc already. and for the fact that the game is invented for us to catch, not to buy or for the sellers to sell.

If pokemon let people to earn bitcoins, that would be huge. I know many people that chase pokemons around the town. I believe they will instantly start to earn bitcoins and that would be great introduction for all of them with bitcoin community.
I'm not sure how much is possible for pokemon developers to implement bitcoin currency into their system, its gonna be hard but if that happens bitcoin will go mainstream.

It looks like the pokemon go hysteria is dying out a bit to me at least in the USA. Right now it will continue in the countries where it hasn't been released yet, but I think it will eventually bottom and not be that popular again until they add new pokemons. i have been seeing Pokemon go everywhere i look these days, it looks like it is becoming so popular and i checked it out and i also find it interesting, that is why i think it would be good for bitcoin if there was some kind of earning bitcoin implemented there.

The initial hysteria is definitely over. The first day, the big youtubers uploaded Pokemon Go everyday. Now only a few are still actively uploading Pokemon Go shit, but it will continue being relevant for a long while as they add new content. I hope we can eventually see Bitcoin implemented within the game.

The number of people who play Pokemon Go is substantial, it is quite a rage in some countries. This needn't be Bitcoin's killer app, but it can be used to increase adoption.

There are ppl who pay others for catching pokemons from their account. Why not pay in btc? As for integration, I don't think it makes sense now. First, pokemon's popularity is already declining. Second, ppl who play it are mostly not acquainted with cryptocurrencies at all. So, it would be strange if u paid only in btc. You'd need to pay in fiat currencies as well, so that everybody can participate. And this is not easy since kids and ppl who don't have a bank account play... in other words, there are too many arguements against this idea.

This is exactly the reason why Auction House in Diablo III was shut down.
People were not playing the game anymore, but instead they sit in game lobby, trying to to find good items in auction house.
Paid marketplace might be good for traders, speculators and Chinese gold (Pokemon in this case) farmers but not always for normal gamers.

Also, I have certain concerns about Pokemon Go - Niantic tech connection. Niantic has certain roots within security agencies/google/and so on. There is a certain paranoia about Pokemon Go being a massive spy program so people can map the insides of people's houses through their smartphone cameras and GPS (required to play the game).

If that's the case I am sure there would be increased attention and use in developing countries and would form a new form of marketplaces for it as well, I think it would benefit both the players and those aiming for BTC. I doubt nintendo would do that though.

Imo the game is good as it is, maybe you can add pokemon battle on the street but not the tapping kind but the normal one, like the real pokemon trainers.

exactly, i am a big fans of pokemon go, but i agree with you we need something new here at least different by the name or maybe concept, i have tried some games that we can earn bitcoin while playing it, but most are imatated from the original whether name or it's concept, as for me i really like strategy game the last one i played was goldentown some kind of farming game.

If the real money involves in pokemon go there will be x10 more botters than what we have now. And bot coders would develop more advanced bots. Already i had heard that many job employee left their job for becoming a full time pokemon go player, so if player could earn bitcoin by playing pokemon go then  I think many people will decide to play the game full time for fining rare pokemon and I think this is not a friction someday it will happen in real world.

As of now, there is a new feature created in the Pokemon GO app where you can send pokemon to anyone.
The only thing that's left is an escrow feature, right? But I don't think of the possibility as of the moment because bitcoin is not that much popular today for Niantic to consider integrating it.

POKEMON GO integrating bitcoin could be a new chapter for both POKEMON GO and for bitcoin. I think it can rapidly increase the user base for both pokemon go and bitcoin. Bitcoin will have new demand and this may increase the price and later it can even bring better stability to the price as we get new users. It would function best on an external marketplace where people could meet, exchange btc in escrow, make the trade, then release the payments.  I don't think an in-app feature would be useful or plausible.  If an enterprising person made all the above happen, they could make a pretty penny on service fees  :)

I think the better question would be why don't these Pokemon coins match the game more closely.  It would take a little bit of effort and a little bit of planning, but with TX scripting you could develop a coin that only pays rewards on location. 

Yeah. I think it won't be much as popular as COC. The reason why they were not able to add new content is that the app is already fully-packed of amazing features by the time it has been released. So what else can you add there? It's like the people were spoonfed with stuff and have been spoiled.

We use the technology for a local Android app that worked to a fair degree.  I am sure there was a better way to do it.  But a coin, based on the game could include much of this in the wallet software and cut out a lot of the other scripting.

I thought this fad was over,no longer seeing kids lurking around my fence like perverts. I think it was the most walking one of my neighbors ever has done in his life. Think we are better tying into virtual reality as a currency of choice rather than wasting time on a product that is here today gone tomorrow.

Isn't Pokemon go sort of dying out? I played a lot when it first came out but it just sort of got boring there isn't anything to do.  The Gym battles are absolutely stupid, a tapping game, no strategy involved at all.  I would like it to be more like the game before we did anything about trading online.  I don't think the game will last another year if it doesn't change fast.

Pokémon Go was a fad plain and simple. Niantic and Nintendo found a way to milk the Pokémon fans with a game that despite being innovative namely for the AR element, still provides a repetitive and very tedious gameplay. The daily grind is too much for me honestly and I have quit the game for a long time now. but they would have to generate money to give to the user, so you are talking about a game with a ton of popup ads or addons that cost money.
Nothing is free. If you are earning a few cents the maker of the game is earning more. If you are okay with that then go ahead and play.

It can happen, some guys really spend money for games. A proof I can see is Steam accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. Using Bitcoin by gamers is actually win-win situation for both the gamer and the seller as they both exchange goods. Also it is happening now but not necessarily in Pokemon Go, I know games like Dota 2 has sellers which accept bitcoin for their in-game items.

I haven’t played pokemon go yet but I think it’s a nice idea to have a marketplace for gaming characters and that too in bitcoins. Although, I think one can sell his pokemon go account with all pokemons in it in exchange of bitcoins but there is no marketplace for such digital goods (one can try Bitcointalk marketplace section). The Pokemon Go hype is over. There have been millions of players when they started but now I don't see people talking or posting about it anymore. Maybe it's because of the bugs that they encountered, the failure of Pokemon Go's servers, and the inability to do player-vs-player battles. When it went live i saw several people in the streets searching for pokemons, nowadays looks like people got tired or finded a way to cheat the game, with that said i dont expect no one to make a game that will pay satoshis for people walk and do something, if they do the payment should be 1 satoshi, this way people wouldnt cheat, and possible neither play.

This idea is interesting but i think who made pokemon go will not agree to give free money for bitcoin they are doing a business and i think instead of giving money or bitcoin they will sell like pokecoins and pokeballs or any items..
So for me this idea will not happen but if someone can sponsor and contact who make pokemon go maybe it can be happen just like flappycoin and bitcoinhopper.. they are giving free bitcoins before while you are playing.

With that in mind, I will play Pokemon GO again. I played it for a while, at least 2 months. Nonstop walking and sometimes jogging, even during a commute, I still play it. It's just that it got boring because of the cheaters that play the game. It's not fun when you're up against a cheater, knowing that they already have strong Pokemon and you still have weak and still have to walk a thousand miles (and I will walk 500 more  :D).

Too many players botting already, and interest in the game has massively dropped off. I don't think this is a feasible idea. Also people who can easily access regional pokemon have an unfair advantage, as they can use this restriction to inflate the price of a pokemon that is otherwise very common wherever they are.

I don't think that it is possible to distribute Bitcoins to all the Pokemon Go users. In the United States alone, there are more than 45 million active users of Pokemon Go. Even if we take a conservative estimate of 100 million world-wide, there are not enough BTCs to make everyone happy.

is it right now Pokemon Go is still the famous games? because in my city, i think i don't see any player again that searching for the pokemon and i think its good idea if Pokemon Go that allow people to earn bitcoin so its should be another way to ear bitcoin with games.

We may know who are the company who are interested for creating a money paying app such as pokemon go. And that will be needed to be created the way it is and for sure many will able to play it. This might work if they set release quantity limits to rare pokemon.  It would be something with more value intended like a purchase with a limited time.  An idea is to have something similar to Book of Orbs storing Spells of Genesis's cards to implement storage for the rare pokemon/items at a fair market exchange rate.  Of course, there is a down trend of popularity for Pokemon go that might minimize the interest to pursue a project.  Then again, thats when rarity items become more valuable.

Whatever will be the change and upgrade for pokemon go as long as bitcoin is associated and the players will be rewarded some bitcoin as they play a game or finishes some task. Wow, this is insane. I have been there for just 20 seconds and it already showed +900 downloads and +$2500 revenue. That amount in just a few seconds is simply insane. Now imagine this but with BTC instead of USD.... It would mean over 900 new Bitcoin users, which would boots our popularity, price and advantages: Bitcoin going viral could mean us being able to pay just anywhere in Bitcoin in a short time.

Well looks interesting people keep playing pokemon go, in the begining this were a huge sucess, till people give up, since some people starting farming their accounts, something they didnt thinked it could happen, or werent expect. If a game similiar pokemon would be made with bitcoin reward it would have to force people to really walk, but which would be the income you could get daily, since we are able to earn bitcoins from faucet, signatures, from home, to make we swich home for streets some ammount would be required. This could be the governement action, since they invest milions to make people pratice sports, atleast where i live they made around 30 places to people do exercise.

Depends how much you can earn from it. Pokemon go hype now is over and only few people i think still plays that game. Their game is different on a usual game and i like it too. But just concentrating on it will compromise your other jobs or tasks so many people quit from it including me. The fact that it is just a game and you can't earn from it and will not make you survive just by doing it. If we can earn from pokemon go that much then many people will just play it and quit their jobs. What people don't want to earn while playing a game.

My view when you are playing a game, you are doing it for releasing the stress from your day job for an example. The game will change if you are doing for a living, you could do it actually with the game Second Life who exists for many years. You can create virtual good and sell for real money in return, but you need to build the skill to make stuff into the game.

Any game that offered any form of real earning would instantly be flooded with botters trying to earn cash without actually playing the game.

The Pokemon Go hype will come back very soon with full force thanks to the release of Pokemon Moon and Sun and they will also start adding a lot of new pokemons into the Pokemon Go series, so I expect that the next summer will have again a lot of people outside catching pokemon. I think of someone came and made a new game similar to Pokemon then they could intergrate bitcoin within the game world. Everything will cost bitcoin in the game. But implementing any kind of money trading or buying/selling in pokemon go, specially buying and selling pokemon would ruin the core of the game, where the main and the most important aspect of the game is going out and catching pokemon, and the game them would become pure pay to win game.

Here's why, let's say that they implement bitcoin option for buying and selling pokemon, and someone who already has the greater amount of btc stored can use that btc to buy lots of pokemon and improve the gym to the point that it's unable to be taken over by anyone else. The Pokemon Go hype is over and it's still not available in your country? I bet the game will never be available in your country. People have expected a lot from Pokemon Go and there aren't even new updates about the game. You still can't fight each other, and there's still no in-game-currency. Hmm. You can't say that you're going to play Pokemon Go everyday for sure. That's the very same thing people said even before Pokemon Go was launched. After a week or so of playing, they all got bored of it. You don't know how much bitcoins can you earn from Pokemon Go (assuming that they implement the bitcoin idea). You might be dissatisfied by how low it is and not even bother to install Pokemon Go.

People have already caught the rare Pokemons so I don't think there would be a Pokemon worth 1BTC since the supply is huge. Pokemon Go developers would have to wipe the saved accounts on their game and start over, make it harder to find rare Pokemons, ban all bot users, and implement something new to the game (i.e. P2P battle).

Even they will give any giveaways in their players still no one will ever to play it addicting because it's so boring but if they will add the features it have chance to others players to play it or they need to put cool features like bitcoins and PVP battle not only the gym battle.

They lacked updates, the game was broken for weeks after it was released, and it was shallow with unending grinding to the highest level as it's goal. Coupled with a leveling system that shafts players if they don't spend money after the first 30 levels, it massively lacks end-game content and the activity you perform is worthless once you close in on level 20.

Letting users earn Bitcoin from a game is unfeasible for a business decision, and is another topic of discussion born from people who don't understand the economics of it. F2P users would slowly drain everything, which is essentially everyone thinking this is a good idea, and it ruins the company.

Yes, it the player can earn real money in bitcoin, it will take a hit in my opinion. Also, I read  somewhere that mine craft also already implemented it that you can earn while playing but I can not confirm it.

People are going back to clash of clans and minecraft because it's winter and the kids want to stay inside playing videogames since the weather is bad to be around running with your phone, but when the good weather comes back in a couple of months we will see the pokemon go hype go up again and people will start catching some too, specially because I predict nintendo will release new pokemons in summer.

Are we just ignoring the potential of the GAME and MobileGo platforms? Not only will in-game currency be possible, but also we will be able to sell in-game assets and characters. Tournaments, matchmaking, and game economics will be so integrated that it will be a wonder how a decentralized virtual gaming currency was never implemented before.

Of course, it would take Nintendo to actually adopt the technology and platform and develop for it, but the reality we are describing and wishing for is actually closer than we think.

It was once a nice concept and I forgot what it was, but it became live on some parts of the US way back 2015. The concept was bitcoins were scattered all around the globe, and you need to locate them using your phone's GPS and an application made by the devs. The goal was to let people know each other along the way while earning something for their exercise. It would be nice if it was globalized though.

It may be too late for pokemon go to include bitcoin in their system. Pokemon go is slowly diminishing and its popularity has already passed. If people did all that abuse with Pokemon Go that didn't even give them any penny, then something that does give them money will surely be raped. I think I read somewhere before, the concept you were saying. They say that others will drop coins all around the world while others will collect them. The thing, though, how much coins would it be? If it's just the same amount with the "money-making Apps" on PlayStore that are just basically faucets added with some game, then it will go to the trash can in a heartbeat.

Does pokemon go is still on the run? Suddenly in my place pokemon go is almost gone. I still doubt that there were still people playing pogo. Maybe because it has a lot of negative feedback and very choosy when it regards to phone specs

That is totally crazy in my opinion to do such thing he doesn't have respect for the tradition of the church that is why I think some country just banned Pokemon GO because of the unethical behavior of some people and people just got into accident because of that game, but I am not saying that all players of that game is all like that, there are some that behaves really bad and pt their selves into trouble,

But I really think like Pokemon Go some mobile games they can surely put some in game purchase that can use bitcoin to buy Item I think that can be possible, but in earning bitcoin? I don't think that it can be apply I don't it can!

I think this is a great idea. Actually Pokemon Go added wholly new quality. Now you can predict rise of wholy new market, market of real life urban games. PG is really great because it moved all these new generations from houses, from their virtual reality and socialcages back into streets!
That's just incredible! If it let's some people make fortune, it's even better. Entertainment is also a bussiness.

I don't think this buying/selling concept is new in modern video game communities. People are selling game accounts since a long time now. I don't know about Pokemon Go, but I have seen people selling Clash of Clans and Clash Royale account in ebay. And the pricing is on higher side. So Pokemon Go would just be an addition to that trend and nothing else.

However, till date I haven't seen any games which can be directly sold or purchased from the account. If it happens, that would be nice. The game company can work as an escrow provider so that the transaction can be safe and secure.

You are correct sir, Even Pokemon Go allow people to gain bitcoin, if there is no exchange site or any of them allow it, the opportunity will become useless only and everything will goes into nothing, and it won't help at all. Yes, earning while playing is the awesome idea for people that spend a lot o time on that type of activity. Right now we have few options that gives you that option.

There are faucet games that give the feeling of being a full fledged games. Satoshigalaxy being one, and bitfootball being the other. I would suggest people to look them up.

There are games like Entropia universe that are said that you might earn something by playing it, but mostly you lose at it unless you do some boring stuff like sweating.

The pokemon GO I think has its best moment in its past. As a some kind of day of promoting bitcoin that would be awesome for the bitcoin community and to have a great bitcoin advertisement that way. I do not see the pokemon GO to be able to support the bitcoin earning for a day to day basis, as there are no advertisements there.

Not just the specs, the reason is mostly that Pokemon Go requires someone to be walking, and it is very tiring if you ask me, you just catch Pokemon without other purpose. If every Pokemon you've catch have equivalent bitcoin, I think they will be having purpose on catching pokemon.

I'm not a pokemon go player but I've seen some play the game. I think there are still many things to improve in the game like the bugs and security. There are people who can play the game and change their map so they don't need to travel much further. There are also circumstances when a pokemon is caught, you will receive double. It is a great idea but still many things are to be considered.

I don't think Pokemon will do this with any currency. The don't want money invloved in their game besides ingame purchasing. Blame their greed xP Maybe one day we will have an ar type game but it will need to be made by many many devs and is a huge project. Sddig stops to locations all over Google map is a tall tall order and difficult. So not yet but in the future yes I'm sure there will be a Bitcoin AR game. Many have spoken of this it's just a question of time for the right devs to stand.

It is really a great ideal in putting bitcoin in a game that every people may love and get addicted with, but I think we can only apply it to the online payment needed in the game and not the game itself gonna provided us with bitcoin, and like Pokemon that are free for all I think it can not apply to something like that, because this kind of game present us with Pokemon and that is the main motif, but if they would make a game that can earn bitcoin, try to make a related and close to bitcoin faucet kind of thing, it needs the vise versa factor of the faucet that lets you play and easily earn bitcoin from it as a reward, it can surely work as long as there is a kind of advertising to the side of the developer of that kind of bitcoin game.

You will be addicted until the reality hits you that after that one whole day of walking, running, biking, just to collect the coins, you barely have a dollar. Plus, supposed that the Pokemons can actually be sold for a pretty good price, it will be harder and harder for you to collect Pokemons since the user base will pump up. Another thing, with games like this, the supply is only going up since people can resell their Pokemons and the developer has to spawn more and more Pokemons. The price will eventually go down even when it's supposed to be high.

TL;DR: It can only be profitable at first (assuming that Pokemons have a decent price) but it will eventually be destroyed in a blink of an eye when bot abusers and GPS hackers come in.

People do all kinds of selling and buying with their accounts online, like all the mmog and rrp. I think Pokemon craze is very less now and people moved on to other things. So it may be a good idea to introduce BTC to them but players will get multiple loopholes to use it to their advantage.

The system is a good idea and can be implemented to another rpg or collecting game. The problem is usually rmt (real money trading)  often make the game dead. Bot starting to appear to earn $$$, the price broken and other thing. No sane developer want their game to be broken.

Then people would abuse the system by starting to farm and botting even more than now, the game would become a market to farm and sell Pokemons.

Searching for Pokemon will be harder and harder and people will eventually give up. I connect the game with the money earned, the eagerness will be lost, players will only focus on how to make more money, they are not interested in the game anymore and many players will find a way to copy money. Oh this sounds really cool. Hunting bitcoins instead of pokemons. This is at the same time fun and exciting. This makes bitcoin sound more of a trend. This could also invite more bitcoin patrons.

It’s really good concept already some of the games in play store and AppStore giving bitcoin as a reward initial days I was curious and interested to play but payment was too less then I stopped completely. If there is some good payout then people will try for sure.

It would have been nice if games start giving cryptocurrency for playing. But pokemon go is not preferred beacuse it requires lots of travelling. Just imagine if you fid a pokemon in the sewers.

Its a good idea for the game lovers. But its seems harmful for me. It can increase the number of cheaters. A lot of bots can be invented. If you google you'll find hackers made bots/hacking software to increase games stats.They can steal more data for the sake of bitcoins.  I do not say it is bad but since there are a lot of scams out there, i am little bit afraid because of that.

There is an app called bitcomon go it looks like pixelmon go but you catch Crypto. Anyway it's terrible and a scam so stay away from it.
It's the closest I have yet seen to actually having a pkemone game. The idea if a crypto related Augmented reality game is a great idea but needs a proper team to pull it off. You need a proper gaming company working on that.

Pokemon Go does not dead, it only has not many players as the past. Because the requirements of Pokemon Go not useful when the infrastructure in most of the countries still not enough to create a best place for player. If really it wants to attractive player, it needs to does like "Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale"

It is just a waste of time if we are going to make pokemon go as a source of income because it will be hard for us and it is a very hassle type of work because we need to travel places and it is not always good in a country because there are countries that are dangerous and there is a lot of criminals and the internet connection is also a problem in most of the countries so it is not a good idea at all.

Like you, I am also not even a fan of Pokémon GO or even Pokémon. I actually never even liked the cartoons. Naruto is far better than Pokémon. However, it does have a large community and fans that will really become crazy by such offers. It will be a lot of fun also.

Yes infact this is possible for each and every game. Counter strike or mini milita any game. There can be team tournaments of counter strike with bitcoin in prizes. Moreover very less people know that online gaming arenas are going to be inculcated in commonwealth and asian games too.

Hello. in my opinion, if POKEMON GO will let people sell the pokemon they captured for a fraction of Bitcoins, there will be a lot of road accidents, because everyone will try to capture pokemons to sell them

Well Bad idea first of all because alot of underage people play it and it would be hard to impliment secondly i dont see how niantec who rarely listen to its community would make this thing real and profit from it, as a matter of fact the bitcoin fee system is going to make it unusable as a feature.

There are very limited games out there that have loyal players and will continue to stick to the game even after the hype has gone down. I think Pokemon Go was rather built by hype and the idea of catching Pokemons in real life. Unfortunately, a lot of cheaters has entered. They can access different places without having to move in real life at all. The point of Pokemon Go is for people to go outside and maybe meetup some other Pokemon Go players. Another reason why Pokemon Go died is because there is no Person to Person battle. You can only challenge the gym leader and the gym leader is probably just a cheater so he was able to defeat all the people in his place. In other words, there is no place for a legit player in Pokemon Go and it seems there's no fixing that issue (bot + VPN).

I think if Pokemon Go can be used to produce bitcoin, then everyone will do it, and pokemon will join The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species  ;D ;D

Earning bitcoin by playing POKEMON GO is totally cool, imagine you were just seaching the place in order to find a rare pokemon, sell them and bitcoin is the sort of payment.

That would be something interesting. Many people may spend even more time outside. Unfortunately, Pokemon GO isn't as popular as it used to be 1 year ago. People lost interest in it because of slow servers, lack of updates and winter! I didn't enjoy it after 1 year break. However, Bitcoin as a reward would be really encouraging. A lot of people would discover existence of Bitcoin.

Actually this is not a very bad idea, in fact in my country a company jumped on boeard of the idea of augmented reality games, and made a simillar game to pokemon go, you go out collect characters while you are waling joging out on the street and by the end of the month the person that has collected more charchters win a money prize, the whole idea of earning while you are doing somthing fun encourges poeple to do it, and if we would see this kind of ideas implemnted in the bitcoin earning field, but most apps that let you earn bitcoin while palying only pays a very small amount because their earnings come from ads which don't pay that much per user.

Yeah , here i am also excited to have games like this , Because perosnally I didn't like pockemon go but would like to try when I will get a useful reward to find a pockemon .
Here personally I was not happy with the game pockemon go but after getting and idea that I can sell my account of pockemon go for btc ( about year ago ) then I also tried and also sold with small amount of bitcoin .
But here the case of the reward for every caught of pockemon will be better thing for us to make Money .

I think it is not a good idea. Pokemon Go is a hazardous game for my own opinion because you need to travel or go to somewhere to catch pokemon. It is risky in our safety because our focus is in our phone to catch pokemon not in our way. It is risky to our safety specially in young gamer. If there's a game that they gave to earn bitcoin I think the best game in bitcoin earning is mind game like crossword puzzle,word quiz and any game that may use mind or knowledge to prevent accident and to sharpen our mind.

If this happens, there would be a lot of people that would be sponsored to go everywhere, anywhere in the world to catch Pokemon, and especially the legendaries. I have seen posts that the first person to catch them all has already been sponsored or something. That's a great way to satisfy your needs in life, if you can have that then it would be fun because you are earning while you are at it.

That would be interesting and that will attract more users to play the game. If Niantic Labs would do that, i expect that there will be a market for all items and pokemons where you can buy them using BTC. Or the concept of betting BTC when you are going to raid a gym.
