Just send back 0.0416BTC to an address he posts in thread followed by the transaction I.D and its finished.

There is no risk to either parties.

It makes no difference if he's a scammer, its an alt account or anything else.

Price fluctuations are irrelevant, as you never paid for the BTC they were never owned by you so you are just returning what was sent.

Simple problem with a simple solution and everyone is happy.

I would advise against sending paypal as the payment as it cannot be independantly verified unlike bitcoin with the transaction I.D

All other issues aside, this was a trade deal. The deal was canceled so the original BTC amount should be returned. If you want to go through with the Paypal exchange, then it needs to be the original agreed to amount. Everything else does not matter. Refund the original BTC as soon as possible and move on. This should not have been escalated to this point.

This thread got really ugly really fast.  I stated my opinion twice in this thread, so I won't belabor it.  If there's anything I can do (probably not) to help resolve this issue, anyone, let me know.  KWH bowed out on being the go-between, and probably for damn good reason.  I would be happy to do that if mixan is willing to pay the agreed upon amount of bitcoin (whatever that is).

Wasted 15 minutes reading the entire thread.Jumped to following conclusions.

-mixan is a 12 year old kid with no intentions of paying the bitcoins back.
-Coinman could be a scammer but I will pass that since I haven't found any connecting alt's yet.
-mixan definitely doesn't understand the trade conditions and doesn't adhere with the trading rules hence the negative feedback justified.
-I left a negative feedback to mixan until he pays back coinman.

I really do not understand why mixan has not refunded the OP's BTC. Even if mixan sends the OP the 0.0416 BTC that he was sent, and the OP claims to be due more BTC, that additional amount can be litigated later, and mixan has pretty much agreed that the OP is due 0.0416 BTC.

I see no reason why mixan would want to essentially ruin his exchanging business over $40, that seems pretty stupid to me.

Maybe he don't have fund (that is what I think). With two members from DT trying to solve this problem , I don't think someone would back from that point to resolve things up.

In the US, some jurisdictions will allow the lender to charge interest on a judgment after the judgment was granted by a court. Regardless of the above, if mixan does not pay after a week or so, I would doubt that he will ever pay, and (attempting to charging him interest is probably only going to decrease your chances of a recovery.

It is going to be difficult to take any legal action against someone who owes you $40 in a cost efficient manner, and is even more difficult if you do not know the identity of the person who owes you money.

He has a greater chance of getting the negative rating removed if he repays what he owes.

It was really unprofessional to leave a deal in between and refuse to pay or either send back the bitcoins back to COINMAN1 which I think should be reflected in his probile in form of either neutral feedback(if he pays the amount in full) or negative (if he still refuses to pay).

Talking about the amount, I would say interest should be taken from mixan for not honuring deal within expected timeframe and holding bitcoins of COINMAN1 for nearly 1+ month. However this is something that COINMAN1 needs to decide. It is something that I see more of as a loan deal rather than a trade deal. (BTW anyone seen it as a 0% interest loan for 1 month?)
