even when attacked from the inside by blockstream/core it just forks and offers two chains. at least one will continue delivering p2p electronic money to the people with low fees.  maybe both?  we'll see. :)

People leave bitcoincash because their block is still not perfect, so they prefer to go back to bitcoincore. And I'm sure bitcoin will reach $ 4000 by the end of this year  ;)

I think they did not leave bitcoin cash because of their blocks not being perfect. I think it is more like they use Bitcoin Cash so they can earn more bitcoin.

I think this is also the reason bitcoin' s price is making another good leap. I wonder how long will the price go like that, we all know that bitcoin will be experiencing another issue which is the debate on November.

At this early stage of the BitcoinCash (BCH) life, there is no question that it is not par with the first and the original Bitcoin. In fact, Bitcoin is taking the spin-off of BCH as a cue for its more growth right now. People can see clearly the difference and as clear as sky this is the reason why BCH holders are selling their coin share when it is already possible to do so. I have sold mine in Bittrex and I am still thankful for BCH for the free money, anyway.

There is an upsurge of price for Bitcoin right now and this can be expected results of weeks of waiting and after all the FUDs are gone for good and were proven just to be baseless fear Bitcoin is now back with revenge. However, we have to be careful as there will always be corrections along the way.

First and original Bitcoin? :D I wouldn't be so bold to say that. First and original blockchain? Maybe, I don't know if there ware any successful hardforks in it's development to fix a bug or something. But to my knowladge, this hardfork was planed by Satoshi himself, long time ago. I can't say I know with certainty all the fork history and changes in protocol and design of Bitcoin all these years, but I am pretty certain that making your blocks bigger is not really stepping away from Bitcoin's originality. that was the first plan after all. And a softfork is a fork as well. So I don't think we should claim that Bitcoin Cash is somehow less original.

Especially this year. As the price keeps going up and up, many people start to get interested in it.

Plus the fork, it is really garnering lots of attention in the mainstream.

Are you implying that bitcoin is a pyramid? Perhaps, but the financial system of any state is also a pyramid. We are witnessing the collapse of state currencies. Bitcoin is constantly showing growth. For me, the dollar more pyramid than bitcoin.

For new people such as myself, i dont know much about bit coin but as i can see the price keeps on getting high if i had known bit coin back then i should have acquired a lot lol.

What u mean with crashes hard ? 2013 i think it fall from 1150 to 250 with months between thats ~80 loss but even if it falls now 80% we are still at 680 .... clear long term uptrend... dont trade bitcoin just for a year and stop it with big loss... do it LONGTERM or DAYTRADING

Bitcoin have massive community support and very high demand, bitcoin have earned all this over a decade and I don't think it gonna end up like any other alt. Bitcoin might forked many times in future but the one that will have majority of community support will remain as king of crypto.

You shouldn't get it to the Bitcoin if you want to get rich. You should get in it if you are willing to use it as a currency, to get paid in it, to sell stuff for it and to buy stuff with it. If you think that there is too much people that will dump it, then calculate it in the price and buy and sell it for what you think it is worth. If no one is willing to sell you something for what you think it is worth in BTC, then don't buy it, if no one is willing to pay you what you think your work is worth in BTC then don't do that job.

Everything is calculated in the price, the risk and everything else. If you don't agree, then that is fine, set your own rates. Same for fiat. It is ok for you to trade, everything is a trade and nothing is risk free. Countries go into hyperinflation, into bailouts, that is why Bitcoin was created in the first place. It was used by the people who believed in Bitcoin more then in the government. This all happened before BTC was making people rich, but it grew in price regardless, more and more people believed in Bitcoin. There is certainly people who will just pump and dump, there are people like that in every currency and everything of value. The percentage of these people is arguable in every currency and every stock. This is not just Bitcoin.

So you shouldn't buy anything that you don't think is worth it, just because you predict it will grow in price. All predictions are risky, you shouldn't bet on it.

There ware many cases when fiat went useless, governments don't last forever. Dollar won't either. Sooner or later every fiat falls and new one rises. Dollar was worth a lot more once. But inflation is killing it and if the country needs more, they will print more and dollar will fall even more, as it happens all the time. They gave money to the banks, they fund wars. Their currency is a lot worse then Bitcoin. Bitcoin acts as a currency a lot better then any fiat, it is small tho, so outside influences can affect it too much, but it changing all the time, for the better. More people accept Bitcoin as payment, more people pay people with it. That is it's true value and it grows.

That is what they will tell you, because they need you to be scared. But if you are smart, no one can trick you. You don't need their regulations, just use your head, don't let others be smart for you, because they will just use you, like they do.

Let them regulate it. Let those who are afraid to leave. We don't want them here in the first place. But making speculations on how many people will leave and how much money they have is a fool's job. Think about the long term, that is only thing that makes sense to predict. Is Bitcoin worth it's market cap, will it grow, do you think it is a useful and secure system, better then fiat? That is a question you should be concerned about. The rest is just fears and greed and in the end, no one can hurt you if you don't let them, not in the big picture. Be concerned about your part, not about other's.

That's everyone's wish but we should all be prepared for unforeseen circumstances and some price tumbling here and there so that we don't panic and sell but will rather hold on to our coins and only sell in due time.

Nothing can stop the development of bitcoin. The evidence is that it is still rising so far. In the next few years it may peak. But I have a concern, whether the bitcoin will end? I do not expect that to happen soon enough.

Why ever sell? You need some life savings man. If you believe in Bitcoin then you should plan and push to use it one day, just like people use fiat now. If Bitcoin achieves it's goal you will not need to sell it for fiat :D

No matter what would be the reason but for sure these things are might be included on that. People do stay on Bitcoin even it has still some flaws and its trying to be develop even better but its failed by the way of bitcoin cash. People would really stick into the original but im still really eager to see on how bitcoin would progress later on but for now its not yet time to think on to those things.

I think people leave bitcoin cash not because of bitcoin cash block is still not perfect but they know hard to earn profit from bitcoin cash. now after the price rise they should accept the fact to buy bitcoin at a higher price, that's what keeps the bitcoin price up.

I completely agree with this point. day by day it is becoming a popular and credible platform for making money within a short term period. in recent times it has gained almost double price so that people are getting financially benefitted through this platform. for me, credibility is the major strength to become unstoppable.

Holding is more good than selling it out. Previously we are worry rise of ethereum due to high potential movement in price bit after splitting of bitcoin cash now no one consider ETH big matter. Now fees for transaction also get reduced.

Bitcoin is the future that will soon become a reality. Now bitcoin prices have increased several fold and we know that currently bitcoin users continue to grow. They have the power to block any website and confiscate servers.

Countries where it has already given a green signal to Bitcoin is safe . And many developing countries are looking how they can legalise this currency and how this will be inactive the economy . The way price has surge after 1st Aug it seems that at present its unstoppable

I also do not believe rumors about the dumping of bitcoin because some people says that bitcoin will goes to very soon dies and also says that bitcoinis is not for life time but that is impossible because these are the against of developing bitcoin so don't believe on them just believe in bitcoin because we all are know that bitcoin is a very secure and trusted currency and bitcoin are also very close to 4000$ and it cross to this price very soon.

Yes we surely believe that bitcoin is non-stop. You can see the recent example of soft/hard fork where people were expecting some crash and downfall of bitcoins, but it did not happen and bitcoin came out of the situation more strongly. Also a Recent hack/ scam of BTC-E has not bring any bad effects on price either.

Surely blockchain is advancing due to changes made by segwit and ultimately bitcoin is rising with it. Two chains being offered dies not really mean one will carry all of the load but it will distributed not evenly but in parts. This may decrease the difficulty if miners got distributed and that would more easy on the fees too. Let's hope to see better bitcoin.

BTC gain it's strength and  is strong because the people behind it not core dev but us the users who use it and believe in it . And I do not think  this will change anytime soon  .

And about BCH I believe it is just an altcoin with no purpose but making money from it nothing more .

Firstly i was thinking about that fork its gonna be something like the split in stock market, but later i saw Bitcoin Cash added to my wallet. It was great but suprised me. Bitcoin is strong now, even stronger than i thought. Hope that other one gain fast in next weeks when liquidity raise.

Bitcoin is very well tested over Tor and built to work with it well. Governments tried to block a lot of stuff, but it doesn't work. Torrents survived, so did Tor. China does these things all the time, but it just gets people to learn about anti-censorship tech. There is really no way to stop people from talking to each other in an efficient manner.

And when it comes to regulations, Bitcoin doesn't need them, it can surpass them and will not stop it from growing and taking over. Besides, governments are regulated by people themselves, they do something that people really don't like and off with the heads. Democracy pretty much won the world by now, more to do still, but hey, it is getting there and Bitcoin is helping quite a lot.

I think if next time they fork then they wont give bounty cons but something else will happen but now the happy news is that Segwit is implemented and it is working fine now we have to wait for 20 days to confirm of it without problem.

That's what we have been waiting for, and once SegWit gets completely agreed upon then no one can stop Bitcoins from booming the way itself to 5k. There are still some scary statements that I have seen somewhere as Lightning Dev said that fees will increase only and scaling will still not be possible around after demand gets increased higher and number of transactions get x folds and we really need to deal with this situation to make Bitcoins' success inevitable.

Looks like the turn of events already in favor of bitcoin more since almost everyone expect that it would have a huge impact on bitcoins in a negative or decline in price.  From this the price of bitcoins still going up on its value and continously to increase and I can safely say for now that it is unstoppable.

Bitcoin is so strong because of speculation and hype, that is why it is always up. Do you remember July 20-24? When the bitcoin dropped to $ 1800? It was dropping because of panic selling, if the prices falls a bit, then the others will panic and sell all their coins, that is like a snowball, same happens when the prices goes up

but panic sell also gift profits for people who believe in bitcoin because they buy cheaply :D. the bad issues on bitcoin will have an impact on declining prices and new holders who not completely believe in bitcoin.

Yes bitcoin is increasing unstoppable, I'm very excited to welcome 4000$ by the end of this month. Activation of segwit has absolutely no effect on bitcoin price, bitcoin persist and become strong, this exceed my previous expectation.

i thought that after august 1 bitcoin price will be down due to the chain split, but in reality bitcoin price hitting 3400 dollar at this point which is crazy, in past some people predict bitcoin can't survive after that event but they wrong bitcoin core is the best since something original is always win, and i'm happy for that but also unhappy, i deeply regret when i sell my bitcoins in the cheaper price, now all the things that i have to do, buy and hold, i trully believe that the price would be skyrocket.

I still don't want to agree because Bitcoin is still a vulnerable currency. Vulnerable in terms of price manipulation right now Butcoin is achieving new highs but the bad thing about it is in any time it can fall due to price correction. It is always a matter of profit taking not the system itself, we have managed to hold the price in August 1 but we will mever manage to hold the price when big holders started selling their position.

The price of bitcoin is keep on going up since the users and investors are also increasing, that is why we should expect the price that it will go to the moon this year and the next year. Literally every other cryptocurrency offers "p2p electronic money with low fees", yet merchants and users are not switching to alts, because the result would be just the same as with Bitcoin - fees will skyrocket. Cryptocurrencies as of now can't compete with traditional payment processors in terms of capacity. If you can't achieve at least 3000 tps with low fees, you can forget about becoming global p2p cash.

That's a big things happens in bitcoin world of being unstoppable. Even though there's a lot of issue of a possible break but still they don't succeed. Still bitcoin will be on top and be recognise to everyone of being a leader of all cyptocurrencies. So there is no chance that bitcoin will be stop for its greatness.

That's a new era of bitcoin and it has become more powerful now a days. Bitcoin after the fork has gained more attention and investors are now hoping that segwit 102 locks in on 23rd will make it grow even bigger. The price would be skyrocketing too. When everybody thought that bitcoin is going to die after the hard fork then it actually rose with great value and more demand. After the segwit today the 91 pushed it even further and this will keep moving far far beyond as making bitcoin unstoppable.

Yes, bitcoin will jump so high, even can reach over $10,000 or $100K, who knows.
As a better monetary technology, bitcoin has some major advantages over fiat currency which lead it to the highest rate currency compare to others.
Who's the hero? I believe all the people in this world who use and support bitcoin development are the heroes. as long as we keep supporting bitcoin, its price will always increase simply because limited supply and high demand.

It feels good to see bitcoin working that way. I'm loving the concept of bitcoin and segwit2x activation. This has led everything towards advancement. The price of bitcoin will keep rising as the time is passing and new development keep happening.

Well I think this is unlikely to happen. Many individuals and firms have invested a lot in bitcoin and will still invest more before that altcoin comes out. This means they have high level of faith (the major factor that backs any acceptable currency) in Bitcoin and I don't see any new altcoin taking that faith away just like that.
Even if it will happen, it will take many years

Maybe when all Bitcoin supply has been circulated. But even with this, it won't end because holders will be using it to pay for goods and services and the circulation will still continue

I had to pay 6usd to make a fast transaction with BTC today. Same amount with BCC 0.20usd of fee and segwit will not fix the fee problem.

Well my BCH are stuck and I'm kind of a sitting duck so I hope it doesn't fail for at least a few weeks. After I've sold, IDGAF at all. It's a useless fork that isn't used by anyone. It was designed by bitmain, for bitmain. No one else is profiting from it.

Unstoppable in regard that we now got everything. A fork of sorts happened. Segwit happens. Bigger blocks are out there as a great field experiment. More blocksize adjustments pending, but might arrive too.

Looking at the current increase in price I feels like Bitcoin is unstoppable. When I had started few months ago the price of Bitcoin was around 700 USD and now it's around 3500 USD. So I am hoping that the prices will soon go up , leading to more profits. I just saving Bitcoin now and have reduced its use so as to take full advantage of the increase in prices

It really shouldn't be hard for Bitcoin to got $4000. There are no real obstacles standing in our way now, especially with the forks all completed and Bitcoin Core settling in. If you think about it, the combined price of bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is almost $4k, so we're closer than you might think.

I would not be so daring to say it. First and original Capchain? Probably, I do not know if there is any ware hardforks that are successful in its development to fix bugs or such.
But for my knowladge, this hardfork was planned by Satoshi himself, first. I can not say that I know for sure all the history of forks and changes in Bitcoin protocol and design over the years, but I'm pretty sure that making your bigger beams does not really go far from Bitcoin authenticity. Very true that Bitcoin is unstoppable as at last week there was a deep and I noticed some people started doing a panic withdrawal. Though I was calm because bitcoin hasn't reached the projexted/speculated 10,000$ mark price. I do know that before it reaches this high mark there will be some hurdles and setbacks but after which it will soar. As at today it is back past the 7,000$. Maybe, I don't know if there ware any successful hardforks in it's development to fix a bug or something. But to my knowladge, this hardfork was planed by Satoshi himself, long time ago. I can't say I know with certainty all the fork history and changes in protocol and design of Bitcoin all these years, but I am pretty certain that making your blocks bigger is not really stepping away from Bitcoin's originality.
