i´m one of the happy people who had inveted in the Invite-ICO.

I invested with Bitcoin, before the ICO start at the 1.Sep i would invest a little bit more,... but with a few IOTA.

When i klick the link from the email i got for the Invite-ICO i only see the Bitcoin- and Ethereum-Adress, does it mean i have to wait till the 1. Sept. if i want to invest with IOTA?

-if i want to invest with Bitcoin i just could do another TX to the adress i got for the first invest, or i´m wrong ?

I am not from the Modum Team but the answer to your 2nd question is yes :) I did the same with ETH and it worked, you will also get a confirmation email.

Not modum either, but on the slack channel you can see that they are beta-testing IOTA payments. I assume that only after successfully testing this method they will activate it on the website.

I red this, but if i remember right, they are searching for for 20 new members to give them a chance to invest a little bit earlier with IOTA, and i don´t want to steal someone who isn´t in the INVITE-ICO a spot. Otherwise i will change the IOTA to BTC and invest with this.

Paying in IOTA will be possible for the 20 selected early access participants and then in the public sale which will start at September 1st at 12:00 CEST.

I invested a lot of money in modum. Watching this project now for a few month. Tried to get into the presale but i had no chance to enter there, because many private investors are really impressed about the real life usecase. But anyways i got my tokens now and we i think wont see much ICO-flippers at the exchange launch.

I have invested with IOTA first and after that with ETH, IOTA tooks really much time and the ETH Transaction was confirmed some minutes before the IOTA-Transaction. I hope I haven´t missed Tier 1 because of that.

That was awesome! Did about 5 ICOs last Month and this one was by far the best in case of execution.

Everything worked like it should. Even the Emails have been sent almost instantly. In advance after i read the "HowTo" i was a bit worried because the email
could have been a factor for delays, but everyhting worked perfect. I am really impressed.

$30M seems like too much.

This is a high quality startup. They have an actual product near deployment, in a huge industry and swiss quality. Profits and voting gets dispersed to coin holders. Can't go wrong imo. Very under valued coin.

Check out the first page of this thread. With all the discounts they give the max amount they could raise is a little more than $16M.

the idea is promosing but i think it will limit with high tech or luxury item
when compete with common item, it will depend on who can provide lower price  :( not good but this is common in so many country
to implement this method, producer will add additional cost than common delivery cost
btw this is promising project with great idea, this will help a lot of logistics problem

Still really glad that i invested early. This project still sounds really good to me. Also the reviews look good so far.
I am looking forward into that project. If the distribution of the tokens runs as smooth as the tokensale, then it was really an awesome sale.

I expect this to be a huge project and i think i am not going to sell anything when it hits the exchanges.

Flipping this coin would be the worst idea ever, even though many will do so anyway.
Ambrosus, a competitor, is trying to raise $200M while modum will raise less than $15M. Which project has a better chance to increase its value in the long run? With the modum ICO most likely not selling out, we are looking at a hidden gem here.

I can not find any results on the site . that would really interest me

The pre-sale was capped at 2.1m coins. Tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 were capped at 6m coins each. This makes it 20.1m coins offered to the public. The last batch of 6 million wasn't sold out. Last time I checked it was 53% sold but this figure could have been gone up until the end of the ICO. If we calculate that roughly 60% of the last batch was sold that makes it 3.6m coins sold and 2.4m unsold. That means 17.7m tokens were sold.

I'm sure modum will update us next week with the final numbers.

Many questions which should actually be addressed in a particular blog post. I miss it.

They said before the ico, that tokens will be distributed within 30 days after the end of the tokensale (likely sooner).

You only had to read the information in the whitepaper (page 15) or on the tokensale website.

To add to this, there is not much you can do because everything will be done for you. You will receive the tokens when they are minted and I'm sure there will be a newsletter concluding the token sale next week.

I know my transaction was confirmed because I received the email after sending ETH, and I can see it on the network.

I think Jaxx doesn't support ERC20 tokens in general.

By the way: Jaxx customer service answered to me that MOD integration (and XRP integration since I've also asked for it) is currently not foreseen..

So happy to have received an email confirmation that the tokens will be distributed by October 22nd. This project already has a working product that has undergone successful trials. This will be a long hold for me as I believe this is a sleeping giant in the making.

My thoughts too, I think most people who invested in modum are already in love with the project. If it delivers than who knows where the limit is for this!

I really like this project too, it's one of my biggest invests. At the moment I'm not sure that this date is selected very well because of the Bitcoin Gold Fork on the 25. October, they should release the coin after the fork in my opinion. I further hope there won't be much dumpers because this is really a legit and promising project.

I'm sure they won't change the date because of Bitcoin Gold. If they did, then many would whine because they didn't hold the date.

That's right of course, but they should be able to communicate the reason for the delay. Most of the real investors who believe in the project won't have any problem with one week delay, just the dumpers will cry.

I agree that the release date is unfortunate. On a positive side, if a dump occurs, we have a second chance to buy at or close to the ICO price. Regardless, long term the future is bright for Modum.

You are right, I'm also here for long term so it doesn't matter at all. Further, I invested one part with IOTA which is fallen hard since I'd participated so it was a good deal to invest in Modum.

It could take some days for an exchange to list the tokens and by that time the BTC fork is history.

Sure. You have to understand that an ETH address is as good as the next one. The tech is the same. Jaxx and MEW are only two different ways to access the adresses. You can access your Jaxx address through MEW and vice versa.
That said, you can send the MOD to your Jaxx addy but as long as they don't support the MOD token it won't be visible there.

This token has under the ICO price just picked some cheap tokens from ED this is strange to see who are dumping this at low price. I think in short time of period we will get X5 when it will be listed on big exchanges this will be very easy profit.

Wow, I have read the whitepaper before purchasing some coins in etherdelta and I am thrilled. Innovative solution for supply chain in blockchain, with a product that it is already developed. It has all the ingredients to be a success.

During the shipment, the change of environmental conditions (i.e. temperature, humidity, movement, etc.), is monitored and the data is stored in the internal flash memory of the sensor device. Using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), the shipment does not need to be opened to verify the shipment has complied with the environmental parameters set. At each change of ownership, data authenticity is first checked by the smart contract before it is evaluating the data. The results of the evaluation are then stored, immutably, as proof-of-existence in a blockchain.
 
Do customers need to install additional hardware?
No, customers do not need to install additional hardware to use the system, downloading our mobile application is sufficient. The modum system is also compatible with every other BLE device.
 
How does modum.io generate revenue?
modum.io will offer its solution in a “pay per shipment” model to pharma producers and wholesaler. A great day for Modum Token holder, I hope the guys who have sold below ICO only two days ago are already annoyed.

Modum is a long term HODL, one of the most legit projects this year, we will see it's real potential in 2018.

Since its founding in 2016, modum.io has conducted several pilots in each of the last-mile segments in order to receive customer- and user input for developing the system, test different go-to-market strategies, and explore business and pricing models.
For the pilots, modum.io used an off-the-shelf temperature logging device, the TI sensor tag, and developed its own custom firmware to interface with the modum system.
 
Pilot 1.0
The first pilot was conducted in Switzerland in 2016, monitoring shipments from a SME pharma producer to a wholesaler.
Over six weeks, several temperature loggers recorded 10,000 data points and were able to successfully track the temperature of most shipments.
The collected feedback indicated necessary improvements in the following areas:
1. Connectivity of the temperature logger with the mobile application should be quicker.
2. Data transfer speed should be improved.
3. A dashboard for data analysis should be created.
The main advantages for SME pharma producers to use the modum system is the wider choice to find a suitable logistic partner and ensure compliance on a shipment level.
 
Pilot 2.0
In its second pilot, modum.io monitored shipments between a wholesaler and several clinics and pharmacies whereby shipment volumes were scaled up by one order of magnitude.
For this pilot, the temperature logger’s connectivity and data transfer speed were improved and a dashboard for quality assurance and customer service departments of the wholesalers was introduced and tested. To improve the the responsiveness of the read-out process of temperature data was an important learning from pilot 2.0.
Additionally, modum.io monitored a cross-border shipment to validate the technology internationally and between continents.
 
Paid Pilot 3.0 with 3PL & mail-order pharmacy
A key takeaway from earlier pilots and the market studies was that a direct integration in the processes of a third-party logistics provider already serving high shipping volumes would greatly help modum.io scale because pick-up and hand-over would be handled by the same company.
By using a third-party logistics provider, the shipment process remains the same for the sender: insert the loggers into the respective shipment and transfer the shipment to the 3PL provider.
Prior to delivery to the pharmacy or hospital, the 3PL driver will use their proprietary scanning device to check compliance.
He can then either release the shipment to the owner, or take corrective and preventive actions in case of any deviations.
 
During the third, paid pilot with the parcel-service market leader in Switzerland, modum.io aimed to prove the suitability for mass use of the modum system.
Two phases were conducted: in the first phase, modum implemented and stabilized customer processes; in the second phase, modum.io quantified additional efforts and the duration of the temperature data read-out process.
The customer’s objective for this pilot was to achieve 95% of all readouts within 30 seconds. modum.io managed an average readout of only eight seconds for 100% of the shipments.
In the pilot wrap-up meeting, suitability of the modum system for mass use was confirmed and the client recommended integration of the modum system into the offering of the 3PL.
 
Business & Pricing Strategy
By using the modum system, depending on market segment and volume, costs per shipment can be reduced by up to 60%.
With respect to the 200 million shipments of pharmaceutical products in the EU, a widespread adoption of the modum system or competing services has the potential to reduce industry-wide expenses by approximately 3 billion USD.
 
The modum.io solution is offered in an easy “pay-per-shipment” model.
It has been shown in the market studies and pilots that customers would pay up to 10 USD per shipment.
When compared with the use of environmentally-controlled transport solutions, the modum system still significantly reduces overall shipping costs plus further cost reductions if the potential for automation, that comes with the modum system, is taken into account.
 
Current status
Currently, the modum system is being integrated into the system of the leading last-mile logistics service provider in Switzerland.
modum.io is planning to finalize this integration in Q4/2017, using the first series of proprietary temperature loggers.
Clients from the wholesaler and mailorder pharmacy segment are lined up.
Upon successful completion, official market entry in Switzerland will begin in Q1/2018. Once integration has been established within our first client site, the logistics service provider can approach the SME pharma segment to offer the additional service.
 
Furthermore, modum.io is in contact with significant customers from within the pharma distribution vertical in the UK, France, Germany, Turkey, and Vietnam.

modum.io has developed a system leading to the following features and USPs:
 
Before shipment occurs, the temperature logger ID, shipment ID, and alarm criteria are fixed within a shipment-specific smart contract.
Upon receipt, this smart contract will allow receivers to check that regulations have been met.
The evaluation criteria (in this case temperature ranges), cannot be changed retroactively.
During the shipment, the temperature is monitored, whereby the data is stored in the internal flash memory of the logger.
Using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) the shipment does not need to be opened in order to perform the checks.
At each change of ownership, data authenticity is certified by the smart contract.
The results of the evaluation are immutably stored in a blockchain as a proof-of-existence. Depending on the outcome, the receiver and sender are notified immediately, allowing them to release the product or arrange further corrective and preventative actions.
Customers do not need to install additional hardware to use the system, downloading a mobile application is sufficient.
 
For the customer, the modum system provides:
1. A passive solution that includes a monitoring service with no special packaging required, without the need for expensive, active-temperature controlled logistic services.
2. The proof required by GDP regulations that medical products have not been compromised on shipment level.

Not really, it depends on how Modum will perform after official start in Q1/2018, this is from the whitepaper:

"The board of modum.io decides and declares the amount of dividends when there is a profit. A payment equivalent to this amount is converted to Ether and sent to the modum smart contract.
The modum smart contract evaluates the current holdings and distributes the profits to the token holders in Ether."

Bought at 1$ :D... I think it is Veeeeery promising! The project looks like it has a bright future. It is most of the time in positive climb and gains value every day. Thats great! I think in some years it could make it to a hundred bucks... just because there is a great concept and also quite low supply compared to other coins.

Can anyone explain whats the point of tokens in this project? From my understanding they have no purpose but to act like common stocks, but without any regulations. You have no legal rights and there is no transparency due to lack of annual and quarterly reports that are independently audited. Whats stopping them from making 10m in profits but only pay 2m dividends and pocket the rest?

On paper, they will share profits of the company as dividends. Token holders will be able to vote to determine if company did well or not. If most people think they did well, developers will be paid in tokens. It sounds good but there are a lot of legal issues.

I am happy to report that our current pilot projects are all running smoothly and we have gained commitments from new partners to begin additional pilots. Apart from commissioning and testing the prototypes now available, our development team has spent much of January working on firmware development, optimization, and testing. In addition to the ongoing evaluation of a second blockchain to integrate in our first product, the focus is on the implementation of core features and selected new features, according to the user requirement specifications being finalized.

These user requirements are also crucial input for our quality team who are currently creating test and validation plans. This newly assembled team is making excellent progress deploying our company-wide Quality Management System and integrating it in our development and testing procedures.

Meanwhile, our hardware team is eagerly awaiting the tools necessary for automated inspection and testing of each device during mass production. Their plan is to run a first test for the automated and secure commissioning of the loggers in February.

This development is essential for product and business development but also for building and distributing our products and running our organization.

We are still working actively to fill a number of new roles. CES 2018 was an exciting way for modum.io to start the year. Hosted at the Nordic Semiconductor booth, the modum temperature logger was well represented in Las Vegas. According to customer tracking done by eyeQ, approximately 1500 people engaged with the modum sensor display over a few short days.

In Q1, we will continue to present at industry events that focus on modum’s first use case in the pharma supply chain and educating industry leaders on blockchain’s potential. For example, we will present at the SAP Forum in Basel to 2400 visitors, 475 companies, and 53 SAP partners on March 6th. We will also speak at several other events including Blockchain Summit Belgium, BVL Cologne, and Schweizer Aktien in Zurich. We will also be present at The Things Network Conference in Amsterdam, the Temperature Controlled Logistics conference in London and the Embedded World conference in Nuremberg. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

^^Good to see the team making progress with all of the pilots.  Gaining new commitments proves the quality of the product and process and when it's time to announce these partnerships they will likely be the kind of thing that pumps the price.

In regards to the exchange listings, summer 2018  ???  We're in February, lol, that's a pretty long way away to be mentioning a future exchange listing.  I'm also not aware of any huge Swiss exchanges as well so that seems a bit uninspiring.

All in all Modum is still in a great place, nice follow-up by the team.

Listed on the Singapore exchange is very rare, this suggests that the project has been further recognition and success, developers should timely report the progress of the project and information, let more people to participate together, grow together

What the minimum sum of investment?

The ICO is long over. You can buy as much MOD on the exchanges as you want.

The long-time ICO is so boring, it's better to buy in an exchange that's already provided, so our funds stay safe for a long time.

Hi guys. Long term holder here. I’m not that active in this thread but I do come here to stay informed. I’ve been reading some posts about MOD being viewed as a security. Has there been any talk about changing the model from a dividend distribution to a coin burn instead to avoid the security/utility token debate?

You mean burn after buy back, right? Otherwise which tokens should be burnt?
Afaik there's no such idea. the only benefit would be a possible Bittrex listing but MOD are already on Binance.

Modum was one of must first buys just a few days ago. I hope it will grow.

As most of you here I'm a Modum hodler and do believe a lot in this company.

I just read the white paper - yes, I know, I should have done this before :) - and I have some questions concerning the following part of the document: "The modum.io solution is offered in an easy “pay-per-shipment” model. It has been shown in the market studies and pilots that customers would pay up to 10 USD per shipment."

My questions are:
1. What do they mean by "10 USD per shipment" ? Would it be 10 USD per logger used for the shipment ? Would it be 10 USD no matter how many loggers used in the shipment ? Other ?
2. Does anyone have any idea on the maximum volume that one logger can monitor ?
3. Does anyone have any idea/estimation for the cost of producing a single logger ?

And then, last but not least, I haven't been able to find answers to the following questions (but I admit that I didn't search a lot about it):
4. What do they mean by "profit" ? I guess it is earnings after taxes right ?
5. What proportion of these "profits" will be redistributed ? Is it at the board's full discretion or is there some sort of "promised %" of it ?

Many thanks in advance for your answers and thoughts ! With these answers I could definitely make some realistic valuations.

Good idea in general but it could be that they swap the tokens at some point since they are blockchain agnostic. You should check every couple of weeks what's going on.

Well, I can't fathom why someone would sell their MOD at a loss on ED. Maybe it is pre-ICO buyers who are dumping at a mere 1 to 10 Cents winning margin but that I refuse to believe since they were somewhat handpicked. I just don't get it. ???
