its quite new mixer with good and highly reviewed done by any high level member your mixing site will not work .. also you mention that you invested int his as over $250,000 but how can we know it valid ..not singed message form wallet this fund you have .. so you need to do some review paying user to review and test your mixer and then once review done then you can get user ..

Functionally we are identical to Bitmixer.io, with the bonus feature of supporting 4 coins and more on the way. Unlike all of the other threads with people complaining about lack of service or lack of reserve coins, 100% of transactions on PrivCoin thus far have been processed within 120 seconds. The people behind PrivCoin are behind some well known and trusted online services. Unfortunately it is impossible to leverage that trust and apply it directly to this project without revealing our identities and making us targets for hackers and kidnapping. We are however leveraging our connections behind the scenes to market the project. Those connections know who we are and trust us and they will help extend that trust to others by way of vouching on our behalf. I understand that explanation is not ideal but for now that's our plan. As for the review I'd look for somebody who is extremely well known and discuss the review terms with them. For signature campaign, it's something we're reading about and will likely engage in after marketing phase 1 is completed.

As you can see, the thread is pretty quiet with little interest or input from potential users of your mixer. What can you deduce from the silence? Yes, it's the trust factor. Mixing inevitably entails building a solid trust-based relationship and it is on the strength of sustaining that relationship that you can build and grow a stable client base.

Inviting people to trust your mixer is the dilemma to overcome. You need to proactively work on gaining the confidence of privacy-conscious people here. The primary selling factors people look for are legitimacy and credibility. Is it safe? Will it really work as advertised? Will I definitely get my mixed coins? What computational resources and processes are used to obfuscate the transactions? Are transactions logged? Those are just some of the questions people here would be concerned about and which you might want to address.

1) Yes it is safe and will work as advertised. Unlike other services we did not open with a Beta test because it works perfectly. We've had a few dozen mixes albeit they don't seem to be from this community but 100% of them have received their coins. Other services have tons of traffic on their thread because they are running out of stock and not getting what they expected.

2) Yes you'll definitely get your coins. We are all wealthy enough from owning cryptos for the last 3 years that we can fund this project without potential users having to worry about exit scams. I am also the only person with direct wallet access for security purposes.

3) We track your incoming coins and then make sure they aren't in an way sent back to you. This is easy to do for Bitcoin but was a fun technical challenge for Ethereum, but we've done it. If you can find a way to get your coins back and prove it I will personally send you $50. This accounts for about 30% of the difficulty of creating a proper mixer.

4) No, we run other no-logging services so we know how to disable logs. Removing access logs, database records, and then we go above and beyond to cycle wallets so that nothing can be tracked. There is no easy way to remove addresses from Bitcoin so you can be absolutely sure that other services are keeping enough data on you to figure out where your coins were forwarded. This was the most difficult portion of creating a mixer for Bitcoin, deleting old addresses. Ethereum is easy because they're in a keystore. Go ahead and ask other mixers how they manage to delete old used addresses from existence on their servers and see what kind of technical avoidance they give you.

Creating a mixer started out with 1000 lines of code max, but then we used our knowledge on what an adversary would do to try and follow your coins, and created countermeasures for every conceivable situation. We are extremely experienced in defensive programming. Trust is hard to gain yes, but for now we aren't looking for people to mix 5 Bitcoins on our website. We are looking for people to mix 0.02 Bitcoins and see that our system works flawlessly without issues, without bugs and without hassle. If anybody at PrivCoin ever has to provide support for a user's mixing because something went wrong then we should be considered a failure. Nobody should have to contact us at all. And once we gain that eventual trust since we will support every crypto, users won't have to go anywhere else.

It sounds good but I also have some huge concerns.

You ripped off the bitmixer design/code, this is also what all the ripoff mixing sites do. So you seem like one of the guys who have been scamming the bitcoin community for years. Maybe your service now is legit, maybe your former services/sites werent. But there isnt much trust here for me when you are basically a scammer who now trys a legit service because obviously as others have stated at some point, or on some (big) transactions you would rip people off.

Also many of your posts are EXTREMELY alarming. Like you say stuff as "we did something wrong when we ever get a support email". Yeah right. People always make mistakes and will need customer support.
Also you do react quite unfriendly and pissed at critique which often is a sign for a bad character person.

I'll address your concerns one at a time.


Why did we use Bitmixer front end? Well first ask yourself how many people have used Bitmixer? A lot. How many people on day one know how to use PrivCoin? A lot. How much do we now have to spend on educating users? Zero. Furthermore, none of our other services purport to be in the Bitcoin business because they aren't. We all accept Bitcoin as a payment method for example on a popular Fan-site for microtransactions. We also own some privacy related services.

Secondly, we don't permit as you say "big" transactions. Try setting up a Bitcoin mix, there are hard limits. We do not want to be a high volume Bitcoin mixer for reasons we don't disclose.



Ask yourself how often you have to call up Google because their search platform doesn't work? I'll bet you've never had to. That's doesn't mean we won't respond promptly to emails, it's saying our application works so well that nobody will have to email us.


There was exactly one unfriendly reaction to somebody who said something so outrageous it's outrageous. If you were a technology person you'd understand so allow me to metaphor it for you.

Imagine you go to a new car dealership and you sit in the driver's seat of a brand new car. Without turning the car on or moving at all, you say to the salesman "this car doesn't go over 100 Miles/Kilometers per hour". The salesman then turns and looks at you and says "Yes it does, why would you say that without even trying to drive?"

The person above did not try to use PrivCoin with NoScript because if he did then he would see that it works. This means he's either lying (if he tried NoScript), or he's an asshole (for not even trying the site with NoScript). There are no other options.

Some may remember that I was in bitmixer.io's Signature Campaign for quite sometime.  I had used the actual service various times, liked it, and once when I had a problem they made me whole (when they could have just screwed me out of my BTC).  Their service (as well as the BTC earnings) are what led me to join their Campaign.

In recent days I used PrivCoin.io for a small transaction.  Everything went perfectly (pretty quick too).  I did not make it complicated as I wanted to see for myself how the service went using a small amount, and not sending to various other addresses nor using the time delays.  But, I would recommend that PrivCoin.io users do use those features once they are comfortable with their service.

Thanks for the positive review. Our multi address with unique delays and percents feature makes it so you're truly untraceable via blockchain analysis. Other services only offer 1 static unique delay for all forwarding addresses meaning a company like Chainalysis can just sum all outputs each minute and find your outputs.

Nice to hear that your services are working fine and apart from that your other products are also working good. I hope to use your service next week when i receive my campaign payment as this is first time i am going to use mixer service.

The investment option is indeed interesting and presents a pretty nice way for people to grow their coins steadily. However, is there any way that you guys can prove that your profits are actually x amount, instead of having the investors just having to trust you to state the truth?

Also it seems weird that there is a large discrepancy between the minimum investment of each coin. For instance, for btc it's 1 BTC yet for BCH it's 1 BCH, which equates to around less than 0.1 BTC. You should reconsider this process.

There is no way to mathematically prove our profits without revealing enough information to allow adversaries to track our wallets. It is not in our best interests to scam investors because if they earn too little they'll just withdraw their funds, nor is there any real reason to. If we were going to scam users, we'd have scammed people mixing but we haven't.

For the discrepancy, it's because we don't need Bitcoin or Ethereum investors as much as we do BCH/LTC ones. This way we can deal with 1 Bitcoin investor instead of 10 of them investing 0.1 each. Makes life easier.

Keep in mind we're still a new service. We aren't going to promise you 1% daily compounding like other HYIP ponzi schemes but we can guarantee > 0% return in the long run. I don't think we've had a single day without a Bitcoin mix even from day 1 if that helps. If you can find a better investment for your crypto then feel free to engage in it, otherwise you're free to invest or withdraw if you are unhappy.

Once again, thanks for the response. Right now, if i invest 1 BTC, how much bitcoin on average would i get per day(with all the fees taken away)? Of course, past performance isn't going to be a very accurate prediction for the future but just wanted to know.

And i obviously wouldn't expect anything as high as 1% per day compounded, that's just crazy and if anyone promises that, they are a ponzi for sure.

I don't think 1 BTC would earn you very much and may not be worth your time, but you're welcome to try it out for a week.

Here's what happened:

Shortly before your mix, someone here made a code change to update something. That code change specifically broke transactions with a delay set as those are a different process than no delay ones.

Shortly after your post, the code change was reverted and everything went through. Sorry for the trouble!

Not trashing anyone but here is how I would track you via Chipmixer if I was your adversary and why while it's a neat idea, it isn't the best for privacy.

I know that you received 1 Bitcoin, because I paid you 1 Bitcoin for something to Address A. I see you send this 1 Bitcoin somewhere, but I don't know where except that it's Address B. Shortly after you sent this 1 Bitcoin, I notice that Address B split this Bitcoin into Address C and Address D for 0.512 Bitcoins and 0.256 Bitcoins. Now I know that you've sent your Bitcoins to Chipmixer. My options are to compel them to provide logs, or to MONITOR the Blockchain for people spending "chips" that add up to the amount I know you mixed.

Chipmixer's wallets are easily identifiable by either scanning the blockchain for powers of 2 or monitoring their signature campaign payments because the transactions are freely posted and seeing where the money comes from and goes to is simple.

PrivCoin doesn't have this problem and as for a comparison to Bitmixer we have identical functionality spread out to 4 crypto currencies. In the Bitcoin mixing sense we are no better or worse than them, we are equal. However, we are working on a Coin Join implementation of mixing which will make us superior to the original Bitmixer.

Is it possible, in future that you will do that example : I pay to your mixer bitcoin, but receive other anonymous coins like monero or Zcash ? whtat will be great pay in one crypto receive other crypto !

We fixed a bug preventing people from using multiple output addresses and forced them to only use 1. Thanks to the Bitcoin Talk member that reported it.

Ah, great news.  Someone try that out and let us know!  A while back some may recall that I did a very simple test run just to make sure the service did not take my money and that the mixing worked (it worked just fine).  

I just spent a wad of "old" BTC on gold, cashin' in at $9300 so am unable to try for myself, at least now.

Do note that spending BTC (even when mixed) that has gone up in price (even trading BTC for gold) does mean that any such gains ought to be reported to the IRS as Capital Gains.  I have alerted people (inc. beginner/wankers) at Zero Hedge.

Buying gold means that the seller has to ship it to a name and an address...  So, using mixed BTC for some transactions involving real goods being shipped is trackable by the IRS using Chainalysis and similar software.

Don't mess with the Big Rhino (.gov), the risks are not worth it.

For me, mixing BTC (and perhaps other crypto later) has two big advantages:

1)  Hardly ANYONE (hackers and crooks) will ever be able to track down your BTC holdings
2)  Not even the IRS..., as long as you HODL it, to my knowledge anyway (ask your LAWYER, LOL, if you have doubts)

Best of luck to Chainalysis tracking your coins if you use multiple addresses and different delays with our service. On more than one occasion we've detected tracking companies trying to inject their coins into our wallets and have taken appropriate counter measures to quarantine those coins. Sometimes we'll just donate their coins to the EFF.

The profit can only occur if only someone used the service , So if there is 10 BTC invested and only 1 BTC used then the profit will occur only on 1 BTC not the whole 10 BTC right ? so the profit of 1 BTC will split of the whole invested amount ?! correct ? .

You get profit every time someone uses the service even if we don't technically use your investment meaning if there is 10 BTC invested and only 1 BTC is used for a particular mix, you still get a profit on that mix. The % share you get depends on how much you invest.

I would prefer a more reasonable minimum for small investors, like 0.1. why has it to be 1 BTC? is there a specific reason?

That's probably the reason (lower amounts would give you almost no profit):

Profits would be percent wise but yes numerical wise you wouldn't earn much. We also would rather deal with a few larger investors rather than 10 smaller ones as well in the event we need to communicate with everyone. Minimums are also based on what we need the most which is currently BCH. Having +0.1 BTC will not measurably improve our service.

Upd: all resolved.

Here's what happened:

1) Today there were four users who mixed our entire Eth reserve combined, which is about ~250 Ethereum.
2) This user mixed less than 1 Eth while our reserves were depleted.
3) The forwarding address that the user provided was for a service not their own personal wallet. This service only accepts Eth deposits greater or equal to 0.01 Ethereum.
4) Because our reserves were so low, the only way we could mix his transaction was by sending multiple transactions of less than 0.01 Ethereum which his service did not recognize.
5) The user did in fact get ALL of their Ethereum but not in the denominations they expected because our system will only do what it did in an emergency situation.

After discussion we are going to eat the $120 loss and resend it in one full denomination. This user will be getting about 20% bonus Eth from us because the rest isn't accessible to him because the service he uses won't credit it to his account unless it's a 0.01 transaction or greater.

Despite it being the most important holiday of the year, our turnaround time on this request was a few hours. We don't appreciate being called a scam service when today alone including all coins, we've mixed more than most do in a lifetime without issue.

The maximums for instant processing are displayed on the transaction page and it is not always possible to send amounts in one transaction. Admittedly the amounts you received were not ideal so we're going to make a few changes to the selector logic but you did indeed receive Ethereum back and it wouldn't have been a problem if you owned the original wallet.

Thank you and we are in agreement. Three to four requests per week are because people send too little Bitcoins. On average subtracting those requests we have 0-1 total per week. Our minimums are stated in three locations:

1) FAQ page.
2) The mixing transaction page itself right above the mixer address in bold lettering.
3) The Letter of Guarantee which states both the minimums and maximums permitted.

Today completed successfully a BTC trx to two addresses, no time delay.

Went very fast.

And completed a small BCH transaction to two different addresses successfully.

No time delay (I'm an impatient guy, my favorite words are "Now" and "Hurry up!").

The transaction took approx. 40 minutes.  I contacted their support, and they showed me their transmission of my BCH back to me.  I *speculate* that the longer than expected time might be due to the new format of BCH addresses (my destination BCH wallets were at blockchain.info), the new format of BCH addresses do not start with a "1" like BTC addresses (and recently BCH).  It took some time after they sent the mixed BCH to me before blockchain.info picked it up.

(blockchain.info recently began supporting BCH -- "old format" addresses)

Since PrivCoin fixed their issue with more than one destination address, I have had two successful transactions and zero unsuccessful.

My 40 minutes (total time) was from sending my BCH to PrivCoin until I got it back at blockchain.info.  My guess is that the delay might have been due to the system needing to convert "legacy" BCH addresses to and from the new ones.

This is just my experience as a user of your service.

Bottom Line:  The service works, and works well.  PrivCoin is the only mixer I know of that supports BCH.  And offers the extra service of sending to two or more addresses.

Anyone encounter a problem with the mixer today for ETH?  After waiting a very long time, the web page eventually says "API Error".  The address provided has received my ethers but sent nothing back.

Hi we just responded to emails but if you weren't one of them our ETH node fell out of sync. It is currently catching up and all ETH mixers should be completed within 1-2 hours once it can see your transaction.

It is useful to use our ETH services for example before investing in an ICO so they don't know how much you're worth which combined with your KYC information can be used to target you for kidnapping.

The maximum forwarding addresses for Ethereum was set to 3 but it was not properly displaying an error. I have increased the amount to 4 and now it will display an error if you try to exceed that amount.

Can you PM or email the letter of guarantee? It's a rare bug with ETH when our wallet sometimes tries to double spend from the same wallet if there are many ETH mixes within 5 minutes of each other but not the same time. I am sure if you look at the from address you will see another transaction at the same time.

This issue is resolved and it was a new bug we've never seen.

Our minimum Bitcoin fee is lowered to 0.5% now.

I created this account for the sole purpose of posting on the forum for all to view in the future, rather than posting my questions in your support function. I'm apprehensive about a few points and I'd love for you to clarify for me and the rest of us who may be wondering.


Finally, can you tell us anything about how your service is hosted? I'm confused as to how you have a clearnet detached from the onion.

• Does this mean your clearnet has absolutely no link to your onion?
• Different hosting providers, different countries, and different server architectures to prevent fingerprinting and surely different TTPs to administrate them both?
• If they are hosted on different hosts, then how do you manage to link the databases securely?

Again and again in your postings and on your website you make statements about the disadvantages of doing business in the United States and yet the vast majority of your English is American dialect. This has me very concerned.

• How can your repeated use of Americanisms and American dialect English be explained despite your strong stance against business in the United States?

Not everyone celebrates Christmas. I'd argue that it's more likely it's NOT the most popular holiday.


Thankfully, you've stated that you're one of the founding members and you can answer technical questions. You stated also that Privcoin is created by security professionals, so it's with that hope that you'll be able to address my technical questions.

• Can you tell us a little bit about what sort of cryptographic solution you use to track every sincle coin and fraction of a coin that a user has originally owned so they will never receive it again?
• Can you tell us some statistics about what the maximum length of time a single coin, or fraction of a coin, has remained on the tumbler before finally being tumbled out?
• What about a coin that later returns to the tumbler, because another user has brought it back? Perhaps a bot who can register and manage hundreds of users and intentionally redeposits old funds to destroy the ability to successfully obfuscate funds, thus partially deanonymising your users funds.
• What would a database solution look like for tracking the entire life of a coin? This doesn't seem feasible.
• I'm assuming to increase security and privacy that your service is writing all the tumbling operations into the blockchain directly. How are you purging this metadata when you're producing these writes? Does this get included in the 24 hour logs?

This raises additional questions:

• Can you tell us anything about your reserves or volume of BTC, approximate or exact that you use for tumbling? Greater coin count means great obfuscation. Bitmixer.io historically had their coin count total freely listed.
• If you can't tell us, citing a security reason, can you tell us what the security issue would be? I've never consider how showing total volume is a concern.

This is an alarming statement.

• Why would a mixer want to limit itself? The very principle of a mixer is that more is better.
• What is the reason you can't disclose the reason why not? This is unacceptable and very alarming.

In a screenshot posted on this thread, you showed a preview of the investor panel, which looks great, but raises a couple questions for me.

• In the investor amount, the total amount of profit coins is listed, yet you declare you don't retain logs, so how is this possible?
• The footnote below the graph only mildly explains this perplex display. Can you clarify please?

• Can you discuss when this feature will be implimented? It's been over a year.

• And just on the next page, you recommend yet another mixer. Why do you continually recommend many different mixers?

Now this sounds absolutely fascinating! Would you mind open sourcing the tool you've led us to believe you've developed that has allowed you to anlayse injections to the degree you've caught their attack? This raises several questions:

• You state that you've detected 'tracking companies'. You're saying this is plural, as in more than one. How do you know there's more than one company attacking your mixer?
• How do you know it's not just one company trying different methods?
• Would you be willing to publish a list of their public addresses and any other relevant data?
• You say you've been purging logs, but it seems you're keeping at least some logs, such as in regards to these 'tracking companies'. Is this true?

Please tell us more about this incident and how you came to know about the incident.


Finally, will you be publishing some Bug Bounty programme with guidelines for reporting? If there is a vulnerability to report, but without financial motivation, it seems moot.

I believe they actually tried that (maybe not enough), but no one listened to them.

Used the service without any problems many times before.
Until the last time. My transaction has been stuck for 2 days at this moment.
