Any time there is a big dip or a big climb you're gonna see a lot of volatility. So you'll see fluctuations b/w 3100 and 3400 or whatever for a while. Who knows what could happen, though? Esp since there seems to be this strategic fud campaign.

The price of Bitcoin moves a lot, though more so right now because of all the move to fiat over the past couple of weeks on China's news. With all the extra cash in the market, it can swing faster.

I think the safe zone now is at the $3000 mark value, but we can really never tell if the price is gonna keep on rising because I think this is just a fluctuation, but I wish it will keep on getting up, well I am pretty confuse right now but if the price would reach the $3700 I think it can come back to the $4000 mark value,

This is want i am thinking as of now.  There are many things that have a changes,  we just wait for the time that anything will make changes and will changes the whole scenario in such time.

I heard that Chinese did not ban all exchanger instead they want make a new regulation in order to make a strict policy for bitcoin

It is really a good news to all bitcoin users around the world, the only thing why bitcoin dropped so high is because of the newbies were selling in panic and because china has banned ICOs.

Yes it is rising up once again after the declaration of Dimon that bitcoin is a fraud and after Chinese government banned bitcoin.  It only shows that bitcoin is a strong digital currency.  It gains the trust of people and there is no way that someone going to take that from them.  Bitcoin is strong for almost 8 years now.

Weekend has started already in Asia, so sellers went to enjoy their freetime :)

Bitcoin and Ether are started to go down again, while the market cap stays more or less the same.

This means the fiat > btc/eth is now evolving into btc/ether > altcoins

It is volatile so we cannot easily predict if it is truly rising except if it will have a stability in its growth rate then we can say that it is rising. Maybe next month, the problems that bitcoin is facing will cease. It would surely recover.

True, but this bounce is more telling that "you're gonna see a lot of volatility". All year long we've seen enthusiastic run ups, sharp pull backs and then a bounce that eventually starts the next enthusiastic run up. That bounce is really important, especially since it's happened multiple times this year.

That bounce signifies that there is support for Bitcoin (waiting on the sidelines in the form of cash reserves people or companies have) when the price pulls back. Investors are perceiving the pull back as a sale, not a breakdown.

If this bounce is sustained it could lead to another run up and further strengthen in the market (and to Jamie Dimon and others) that the confidence in bitcoin as a currency, asset, and system is stronger than the criticisim from government or pundits.

Analysts have a hard time understanding the valuation moves of bitcoin, hence they call it a bubble. The fact that BItcoin doesn't have any fundamentals contributes to this fog of understand but also helps Bitcoin because there are no fundamentals that can fall apart (and thus send investors to other investments). Bitcoin doesn't have earnings or debt or (real) competitors. The only negative press is lack of access (i.e., and exchange or countrie's exchanges closing) or lack of knowledge shared in the form of "it's a fraud!" The latter has no base of fact other than to prove that the pundit making the wild claims really doens't understand bitcoin and is acting as irrationally as they believe bitcoin investors are.

The best reason for this that I can think of is that, as the price touched $3000 some people started buying. Even I was considering buying some more, it's obvious some people saw that this $3000 maybe would be the last time BTC price drops that low.

I think this is a new beginning for bitcoin, bitcoin prices have come back up, and it will continue to go up like it did a month ago. Let's wait.

It's not surprisingly that bitcoin started to rise again after dumping to around $2.9k. And those who panic selling are upset right now while others who keep buying are smiling for their future profit. though I just get a $3.2k entry point, It doesn't make me upset. because Its hard to predict when the price are stop falling, and when it started to rise again. Hope it will jumpt to $5k soon.

Well this is not something new, it has happened quite a few times, the only people who profit off from these dumps are the whales, newbies panic, and start to sell,  when the price reaches what they want, they buy again and the cycle goes on.

I bought 5 bitcoins when it dipped to $3k. Something was telling me to do it so I did it and I'm so glad I had this opportunity. I'm sure soon it will be up to the $4-5k region or more.

Well, I think that's not bad. Though we all knew that bitcoin  inflations was very aggressive and sometimes like this it dumped aggressively but this things is not an old anyway,  because when it dumped deeply it is surely climb up so high, and lets wait to that moment of course.

The market cap(italization) is the number of coins outstanding X the price per coin. So, as sure math, if the pricing is moving the market cap is moving...and in the same direction.

First, I want to say that our faith has paid off. bitcoin has come back, it comes up quickly. And now the panic seller feels sorry for having sold all the bitcoins.

China is indeed a big market when it comes to Bitcoin and the ban on exchange was sure to bring a panic. But now all that panic selling has ended. The drop gave the best opportunity to buy back and now so is happening and the price is in uptrend. Soon we will again cross $4000.

I thought about how to get the money to buy the bitcoin that had declined, but it was too late because bitcoin is now starting to creep up, hopefully the bitcoin does not fall back and I still hope with the bitcoin I save for sale when the bitcoin price starts to normal again.

If you are looking at the big picture this is probably a bull trap, this meaning a we will see bull movement for a short period of time before going down significantly again. But as I've said before I'm still bullish on bitcoin long term.

I think after this huge drop from about 4500$ to below 3000$ now, the safemark fot the Bitcoin value would be around 3500$ .

As at 5: 39pm on my local time, bitcoin price against dollas was $3,613.89. This shows that there is a posibility of bitcoin market value return to $4,000 very soon, despite the fact that there is not yet any positive news from any quarters. Yes, very few users could have used it as an opportunity to buy as much possible and keep hold of it for an bigger future. There is nothing specific with the current bitcoin price pumping, because after every price drop the retain of price happens in a short.

Well, it seems to be rising quickly. Even if this raise stops after a while it's peak will be at least at the same point as before the drop down.

I think is good to see the price go up again and somewhat stop he bloodshed. I think the floor is $2800-$2900, and then suddenly the buying started and now we are trading at $3600-$3700. I wish though that I was able to get it at $2800-$2900, however I'm late but glad to see bitcoin is slowly recovering. Let's see how its hold at the current price, if it somewhat become 'stable' as this price, then I think we will be OK. Even though China is banning all of the ICO's in their country it seems that no one  can stop the people for buying bitcoin even if it is too high in price lately. I'm glad to see that bitcoin is rising again because this is a great opportunity to invest even at the $2900 price range, but still it's not that bad to invest at this price range because sooner or later the price of bitcoin will gonna rise again and it will gonna exceed that $4500 price.

I believe the current rally of bitcoin have to do with the influence of those known people who stated support right after Dimon stated that Bitcoin is fraud.  These Bitcoin proponent bashed Dimons statement about Bitcoin being fraud instead some stated that he is just threatened of his job being obsolete.

The name of the game is "speculation". Bitcoin starts to rise because speculators bought enough cheap bitcoin at the price of $3000. All the FUD was for the cheap coin. I don't think exchanges in Chiana will be blocked or BAN or whatever else. Maybe some regulations against fake volume, money laundering for some exchanges.

Why does Chinese government want to give the dominance of China on bitcoin to another country?

Bitcoin gonna go up again the people who buy at its lowest price earn now a good profit but the people who sell their holdings they are now realize their mistakes. It is good to hold bitcoin now but if you are a trader and also a risktaker you can join the flow of the market we're you can earn more income.

It's still not over yet, I don't want to sound pessimistic but Bitcoin could go down again because Chins still has the decision to close some exchange in their territory, they just delayed it, let's hope a run of good news will pop up next week so the bull run will continue.

Actually, its not good to sell during the panic but rather one would consider it as a good buying point. And when the price goes below $3000 after more than a month. People see this as a perfect opportunity go get bitcoin as its lowest point. So investors, casual or big entities jump on the frenzy and seize this opportunity. Its almost $3700 now. My speculation is that the Chinese government or their Yuan is threatened by bitcoin. So they think once move is totally close local exchanges. So its more on the financial implications of the country. But I might be wrong. Let's say that we have somewhat overcome the negativity coming from China as shown by the price today.

I think another name of the game is trickery.  Aside from speculative market Bitcoin market  is also  govern by psy war.  Weaker  minds tends to fold and submit to the will of the stronger one, thus  we see how bitcoin price plummet when a coordinated FUD happen.  Weak hands sells while strong hands accumulate and hold.  Same goes on hype and pumps.  We can do nothing about this kind of game but to keep in watch in order to react on the right time.  

Though I do not think Chinese government cares about bitcoin dominance, I believe all it wants is to have a regulated exchanges of Bitcoin in its country.  

It may yet come back to retest those levels. It will all depend on the news from China, or rather FUD from China :D Whatever happens it will recover, like it always does.

Bitcoin price had a free fall after Chinese government decided to ban ICOs and exchanges. The fall in prices attracted new investors to invest on bitcoins, thus increasing demand which resulted in increase of price.

The price fall just cleaned up the investors of bitcoin, those who really know nothing about investment, easily sodl, while those who know the flow of economics and law of supply and demand, finally got a break, they got an opportunity to buy low, at this time it is considered as a bargain, since the value already reached to 5k usd. I still urge everyone to buy bitcoin as of now, since it still haven't reached 4k usd, and again once it does reached 4k usd, we may have some trouble buying bitcoins again, since most of us will already consider it expensive. I hope that thise with weak hands, already learned their lessons, to not sell out when you just hear something negative in the news, rather educate more yourself on what had really happened and read investments books as well. We all now again see the value of bitcoin on the rise, this just only means that bitcoin can recover from all of the negativity, that even jpmorgan executives are saying, i think even they, themselves have bought bitcoins, while it was low, and had also contributed to its gain, as of now, since they are bankers, it is their job to protrct their work,but as private individuals, they are free to do what they want, like investi g on bitcoin, and seeing the fact that their fiat will loose its value, when time comes, that everyone is into crpytocurrency. This is a good new to us, if you check the graph of the increase of bitcoin over the years or just months you can really see a great improvement and even the slight increase of bitcoin will do a chain reactions. Even though if it decreases, its not to the point that it decreases a lot but it  bounce back to even or higher price. You're right, in another case I've been reading a news that the BTCC and OKCoin exchange will stop trading on october. this two are big exchange on china. I think the price can still go down anytime, but for now I prefer to keep waiting until the bitcoin price really recovered. I do not know what happens to the bitcoin price reduction right now, whether this is just plain fluctuations or something is a problem like bad news yesterday.

We notice that in few hours ago the flunctuation of bitcoin has reach 155k in buy. When the market value of bitcoin hit that price many of people using bitcoin decided to buy because of their speculation that the market value is getting higher again. Maybe that's the all of Chinese investors who have left the bitcoin that is why buying demand is now increasing again because the price is lower than $4,600 before. Bitcoin had started heading back to $4K I think it will recover from China's ban on exchanges and I hope the volatility and momentum of bitcoin will makes it to reach a favourable destination in a few days to come warding off all these negative speculations of it getting to $2500.

I think bitcoin will gradually rise, it's not possible to keep going down the price. In general, bitcoin is just about used by the general public for transactions and investments, it certainly will confirms that the bitcoin value must be rising.

You guys have a very isolated be with the markets. You look at a two hour. Go oh my God the price is falling. The price always fluctuate throughout a 24-hour. All it is is that these fluctuations are slightly enhanced at this time. It drops drinks hurt times a day and come right back to where it was before later in the day.

In my opinion bitcoin will continue to fall until 2900-2800 or around this price. Maybe I am mistaking and the yesterday price of a little under 3000 was the bottom of this fall, and the price will go up until 7000, but some indicators of the market imply that the bitcoin price has not fallen sufficient. At 1 week the stochastic indicator has started to decrease, and this implies that in the coming weeks there will be another fall of the bitcoin price. That would be 73% growth, because it's $288 at the very moment. It would be a really huge gain, but I don't really know what would be in the background that can support this growth for ETH. although the price of bitcoin is currently trading very stable but hope that very soon it will start increasing. it is expected that after the end of September the price of bitcoin will start increasing its price and hopefully for this time its price will easily cross 5000$ in next few week. i think that it is the best time to invest money n bitcoin if a person want to make some profit.

anytime bitcoin could go bubble again. ive been here before like many times. where bitcoin get a big dump and after a few days it goes bubble. My friend doing trading also that's why he get a good profit when bitcoin go dump he buy as much as he can and now he is holding his bitcoin. i bet bitcoin could reach $7000 before this year ends that's why im holding also.

For me bitcoin price still under recovering, it will rise until $3800 but it will still drops. It is still unpredictable right now to know if it will reach over $4000 again. But I am also hoping that maybe this year bitcoin price will rise again.

yes, indeed it's currently seen that the price movement of bitcoin is in the process of rising than ever before. Maybe it will reach $4500 again or even exceed it, but i'm sure next month it seems there will be a drastic rise i guess. Last few days the price of bitcoin increase but as of now the price of bitcoin decreased and its already 3600 dollars. For almost two weeks, bitcoin price is just playing from 3600$ to 3900$ so I think it is not rising at the moment and will only rise maybe when the month ends or as long as China has publicized its final and official statement.

We are making solid progress. Im not sure what has triggered the current bull run, but ultimately, bitcoin is a limited offer of 21 millions. Sometimes people get caught in trying to find and explanation for every bullish candle and I think is missing the big picture, the big picture being that the amount of BTC is ultimately limited, and as long as there is waves of demand, there are going to be waves where the price goes up to find new heights, which will trigger FOMO on these on the fence.

Yeah it is very difficult to predict anything about bitcoins now because of continuous fluctuations in the prices of bitcoins. Today only China has imposed ban on bitcoins, may be other countries will also start banning bitcoins which will cause greater fluctuations in its prices. So till that time if bitcoin is rising one can use it for trading purposes.

It's an indications that bitcoin is not going down instead of going up. Bitcoin community now are getting stronger even if China will ignored it but still they could stand from it. Knowing that, there are more powerful countries  supporting bitcoin other than China that's why it can easily recovered after from a sudden dump.

I smell Bitcoin going back to $5000 this October. Another forking happens in the name of Bitcoin Gold. Maybe this free tokens if you are a Bitcoin holder helps the price. Also I read somewhere China's exchanges will be back this October with new rules. The Segwit thing is the dark horse here.

the decision of the Chinese state is indeed an inhibition to see much higher bitcoin prices. currently most investors are still waiting until early October to make a decision. see bitcoin prices are currently stable then this indicates they have not dared to take a decision. there must be a definite thing so they are not afraid to invest. other than that bitcoin users will have the confidence to use bitcoin much more often when the regulation is clear. this is the thing that makes us have to wait until everything is really safe. I am sure that bitcoin prices will increase, but there are some inhibits that need to be feared.

Today on 17-09-2017 the price is more than 3500. It is about 4000 dollars and will raise day by day. Some decisions from some countries like China and some statements block the way upwards for bitcoin, but that was just a matter of time.

The fall in bitcoin piece was just for the time being. Now the belief and faith of the people are building again and so the price because of the demand and investments.

We should be really cautious when giving predictions about the price of $5,000 anytime. In the last weeks there were just a few negative news (FUDs) from various people in the banking industry, and price has fallen nearly immediately. Other members of the finance market has not commented on bitcoin, so it's possible that others are ready to stand up and say something negative again, if they feel that it's neccessary to influence the bitcoin price in order to reduce the trust in bitcoin...

The price is always fluctuating, which is absolutely fine for BTC. So I'm only considering the change of it's value in the long run. So around December it would be worth discussing the current. However, I am sure that there a lot of more professional players, who would offer a far more wise strategy than mine, which allows us make money both in the long and short periods

I do not believe that JP morgan guy's comment even affected BTC price except the speculative trades. He even did not have any sound premise or argument in his comments. If it was the case, we saw the same ups and downs before when similar guys talked, so it was a pure speculation. China issue has a base and probably will cause swings over the next weeks/months, but I do not think that there will be a significant long-run effect. If we do not have a sharp decline during the first half October, I will be more comfortable to say that price is stabilised.

I don't know whether it is the perfect time to buy Bitcoin, but you can start nibbling at the market. The best strategy is to buy small quantities at regular intervals. You will reap rich dividends in the long run.

s it seems like a good sign has emerged now that bitcoin prices are around $ 4270, maybe in the near future $ 5k will be achieved, albeit slowly but a slight increase with full certainty and i believe before beginning of this year bitcoin prices will be able to reach $ 5k.

It's so exciting and feeling more excited when we see bitcoin price moving to higher, hopefully an increase on bitcoin price continues till reach $5000 back. But there are some issues said that bitcoin will go down because China will doing something, well i don't yet really believe at all that news.

The price after days of the issues from China market has begun to rise. Maybe soon the price will cross the $5000 barrier taking it reach new ATH. Issues with bitcoin is quite common with bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, but this will be overcome periodically. People need to have the faith and the same make people grow with it.

That is just my prediction that maybe by the end of the year bitcoin price will rise. Today, bitcoin already recovers. It is now $4000. This end of the year I guess we can really have a Happy new year next year.  :D
