It’s annoying when the price falls & you’re fairly heavily invested but as long as you don’t sell you don’t lose anything. The price always has a retrace after a fairly significant pump so we just have to be patient & wait for the price to rise again.

I think it will get pumped again right before the 25th due to the two hardforks coming up.

it's always the same, BTC are like ocean waves or a rollercoaster up and down, up and down. Just keep holding and stay at the windows watching the market :)

In my opinion, this is definitely the time to accumulate more bitcoin. The price volatility of bitcoin will always go up and down and sideways. One must know when and how to ride with the whales and exit once profitable. A true investor/trader have different strategies when it comes to investing in the market and is fully equipped with proper knowledge to never their emotions affect their ways. Bitcoin will never stop unless technology itself stops. Right now, just buy the effin dip and watch your bitcoin investment soar to the moon in this coming months!

i can't help but worry.
i can see the price being lower and i can't sleep because i should get my hands on some fiat to dump as soon as possible and convert that green crap to bitcoin while the market is giving a discount. it is the Autumn sale (TM)

If we do base on technical analysis you can really drawn out on where the main support is which is really on $4800 range which I do really wait up for that price point to go back and buy all I had which I consider this point would be the cheapest bitcoin as of this year but well anytime it can breakout that support which means it would still potentially go down even more. FUDS are normal for people and it did somehow affect the price and you can really avoid those people who do easily panic.

Bitcoin is undergoing pullback may reached or might not reach that support at $4800, bearing in mind that bitcoin is a very volatile currency, once the journey upwards begins definitely it going to hit $6000, when will this occur? time will tell, and I think this is the most appropriate time to buy and hold.

This should no longer be news to people who have stayed long enough to know how the skeptics work that whatever is happening to bitcoin whether increase in price or fall in price is ephemeral. Its now left for you to decide which one you want to go with. Its either you panic, sell and come later to complain about how some people are manipulating the price in other to sell low.

I have expected this with reference to the last fork where we get to see some crash but later price picked u. Anyone who act on impulse in this crypto world will have himself to blame, when the coast clears, people reap benefit of waiting.

Users just have to accept that volatility is normal part of Bitcoin and that price is changing all the time, sometimes goes up and sometimes down, but never just in one direction all the time. So Bitcoin will"survive" current corrections. Before you do something stupid, inform and educate yourself.

Guys , don't you think it's time to go down now ? I mean we are going up since one year already ...I don't know , I don't want to ruin the party but it's time for things to settle down a little and that fork will be the main point of bitcoin crashing. To be honest, I was surprised it took so "long" to correct. These surges tend to be quickly followed by depressions almost as impressive. But you're right, this is a market unlike any other and I've given up long ago to try and predict movement in the short term. So I'll stick to what has always served me well: it will rise again, if not in weeks, in months.

The thing I now need to learn is that alts no longer follow Bitcoin's rise so closely!

there is no or nothing to worry about the fall of the price of bitcoin so for me as of now all we have to is stay calm may some here may have panic but its normal yes. But trust on bitcoin even if this will fall it will rise again after this hardfork.

Alts need time for bitcoin to stabilize to follow, otherwise they just get dumped either when bitcoin goes up or down.

However if you are all in then you can´t get more when the price is down. With volatile markets like Bitcoin you should always be able to buy more when people are nervous and selling off.

This was same issues faced before the first fork of bitcoin cash, and after the fork the price went high, and now a new fork of bitcoin gold is just to shut up the price again. This is a time to buy by new investors who where seeing it too late to invest.

No worries, everytime we have new all time high this has been the case. Some occasional dips then a little more heart stopping surge. It's like dancing a chachacha haha! One, two step, forward and backward. I'm quite enjoying the ride honestly. Hello there traders! I guess they're busy buying in again. This dip is just a sign that we are in for the new ath and I can't wait.

People always have time to buy bitcoins, and seeing the progress of bitcoin, i don't think someone really needs to wait for the price to crash if they want to buy bitcoins, because no matter what the price is, if you buy today, you are definitely going to get a return after a period of time, but only if you have the patience to keep them with you and not to sell them when you see small price crash like right now. But it is also right that there are people always waiting for the price to drop so that they can buy more bitcoins, and for this, they also spread fake news about people so that people start panicking and that would cause a price drop if they start selling their coins all at once.

I have been here for more than a year now and I have seen Bitcoin rise and fall, but mostly I see how it got back up from 500$ last year. Right now Bitcoin has recovered fro the 4800$ as it is 5250$ now but don't think it is over yet through my experience one dip is not enough to satisfy the wallets of the big players expect a bigger dip in the following sell off. What you can do is take advantage of it and try to buy Bitcoin in the next dip as it is the best time to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper price.

Well there is no need to panic about that news bro, its already a natural phenomenon, and most of us probably know that. We also knew that it will rise back again even greater that what  it reached before, or should we say another all time high.

Currently the price is 5300 around, but I believe it will attack to $6000 soon, If it goes to dip then many customers are prepared to buy Bitcoin and it will never go down less than 4000.

Let  see tomorrow how much it will be, but at the moment a lot of people are interested in Bitcoin and moved towards by leaving their old businesses.

To be honest, I think the sudden price hike is not going to sustain for the long term and there will be a correction in the price within next couple of months. However, I think that Bitcoin will cross the level of $10K within a year or two but still, there will be the fluctuations in the price.

Those who are willing to hodl for the long term, shouldn't worry about these short-term price fluctuations in my opinion.

Yes, I saw the signs yesterday, the price of Bitcoin is decreasing, though not so obvious but we know it. Maybe the next few days it will fall deeper. This was anticipated before Bitcoin surged to a very high level last week, surpassing $ 5,500. I think the upcoming hardfork has somehow influenced this, so many people are probably storing Bitcoin. However, we do not worry too much and panic, this is normal, Bitcoin prices are frequent fluctuations. Hope it will recover soon and comeback :D

$10,000 is nothing man. That will be easy. After the correction, which as you said is coming and very soon I might add, the next time we see an exponential rise like this one, the price will not only cross $10,000, but I predict that it will go up to at least $30,000 and maybe even $50,000. Well, this is not the first time the bitcoin price went down. As a matter of fact, it is unstable and unpredictable. For instance, I thought to myself that it would not go up any further those past days when it reached the peak. And surprisingly, it really dropped. But that has always been happening. Remember when it had a sharp decreased to reach 2700$ or less? And look at it now. People are going to rescue the drop again and make it rise up like they always do. Why bothering when Bitcoin is falling, it was very natural, nothing new about that. Bitcoin will fall slow and climb up high fast.  Bitcoin will lost a few value for a consecutive days or weeks, then will absolutely gain threefold for a month.

Unlike company stocks which are only traded during set hours,bitcoin is traded continually. Like stocks price will fluctuate on demand and news. Trend will be upward with buying dips. Same applies to good altcoins.

Bitcoin price fall a little bit is postulate :)). If Bitcoin price stable at more than 5k$ or keep increasing like crazy I think all trader will be panic soon. There are some altcoin go up with Bitcoin price that mean its price will increase if Bitcoin price increase too but almost altcoin is not like that. I think it's normal. Bitcoin price dump and pump everyhour and it's the way trader make money :)). If Bitcoin price keep increasing like this I think it'll be really bad for trader whom holding altcoin cause when Bitcoin price increase too much it will make a lot of altcoin price dumped so I think Bitcoin price falling at this time is because trader want to pump the price of altcoins they are holding but Bitcoin price will be right back soon :D

I agree with the OP's statement that the current drop is temporary and will leave us aside with a memory of the "possible" final correction we are going to see. But I disagree that the support is at 4800, I think 5k is the least it could drop according to the momentum it is still holding. Volumes over exchanges are increasing even with the decrease in price and price is holding strongly at the 5400 level, so expecting a big drop would be like expecting something without thinking.

Bitcoin and Crypto is highly volatile because the market cap is so low. Once we hit a market cap of say $1t you won't see these huge spikes and dips.

Crypto is a long term investment. If you bought Bitcoin at $1000, who cares if it dips from $5800 to $4500!!

Yes you are right my friend, people seems to panic on fake news on media, and now bitcoin are coming for pullback and i want it to see near $4700 levels which is a strong fibonacci level where price seems to bounce well when there is strong trend is going on. You said it right it is the right time to buy if the bitcoin falls down, because it is similar to previous fall which was due to jp morgans speech and china's ban on ico and exchanges and we should use this opportunity to buy and not for panic selling. I am expecting to reach above $6500 in coming months.

It's so unpredictable...fundamental analysis makes a lot of the upcoming fork and says people will sell and the price will go lower because of fear of what might happen.  Other fundamental analysis says that people think that the fork will result in another coin and another asset, like Bitcoin Cash, so it will drive the price up.  Technical analysis states a base of $4,800.  It suggests overbought or oversold conditions.  Technical analysis only seems to be beneficial in terms of comprehending what happened, not what will happen, at least where Bitcoin is concerned.

Neither technical or fundamental analysis seems particularly useful with Bitcoin.  If I didn't believe in its long-term potential I'd sell it of course.  But why do I believe in its potential?  The only reason I have apart from these flawed analyses is past performance.  In fact, past performance must be far and away the #1 driving force behind the BELIEF in the escalation of the Bitcoin price.  Now, I did not say the #1 driving force in the escalation of its price because I don't think anyone really, factually knows what that driving force is.

Bitcoin price has decreased a bit today but it quickly recovered. I haven't seen it for less than $5150. I was kinda suprised because I thought that people wanted to hold their bitcoins to receive Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin SegWit2X coins. Most people will earn more from this hardforks than they would lose due to decreasing price. Unfortunately, these coins may be worth almost nothing because of everyone selling them.

As of now the price of bitcoin is 5400 dollars and the price decreased today and I hope it will back again to the highest current price . Its bwtter to buy bitcoin now , dont panic because if you panic you sell your bitcoin and you will lose some money because i believe it will 7k dollars before end of this month and if that happy we will earn money in the future . It can be over 10000$ or less than 1000$ but more important your personal investitures in the right and successful moment for you. bitcoin people always look up but not down but the bitcoin price market is always up and down like gold or dola but this market is smaller than the other two markets but if people trust bitcoin it's all back to its original price. In the near future there is a hard fork that some group is trying to force the price of bitcoin release at high prices and it will fall back to a lower price then people will buy huge bitcoin at this price bitcoin will be push on the old price as the original. I think the bitcoin price will not change much because they will have less bitcoin exchange before hard ford because when they store more bitcoins they will get bitcoingold at a ratio of 1: 1.

If everyone followed this advise then there would be no Bitcoin. we need supply and demand and a reason to use Bitcoin. If everyone saved then the price would plummet, The traders are actually helping bitcoin whether they lose money or gain.

You should not panic or worry if the price of bitcoin was falling down because it will recover and it will become more expensic. Do not do panic selling if the price of it is goes down and if the the price of bitcoin was goes down you must hold it and wait for the right time to sell it.

This is definitely not the right time to buy as an investor, no. Really no. Common man use any one of the legit strategies which are out there. Wait until the fork to take place and the day after that or either after October 30 th the markets will go down and then I am surely gonna buy again. Bitcoin is not going down. Some smart asses try to talk it down, just to stock for a lower price to make big profits. But that's how the market works. Sure there will be ups and downs, you can't expect bitcoin to raise in a straight line up. Just hold on and you'll see a steady growth.

There are already lots of instances that when bitcoin's price drop, many people especially those new into these kind of currency got into panic that cause them to worry about different things just like what they would do to make their money stay still but they do not know that despite of the dump, there is another open opportunity for everyone of us to buy our bitcoins to make our capacity even larger. Do not be worried about the price drop because it is just normal even the natural currencies also do experience that kind of scenario.

well indeed the price of bitcoin did go down due to the fear of the american regulators according to some articles online but it is strange that bitcoin price did get back on his feet pretty fast in 24hours from 5100 to 5700. in the cryptocurrency these situations are pretty normal nowadays. but in despite of criticism of some prominent businessman bitcoin is still strong.

Now looking back, I can conclude that when the  Bitcoin's price falls, then this is just a great opportunity to buy Bitcoin but there is no reason to panic and sell it. I for one have given up fretting about the daily/weekly swings in bitcoin price. If you worry all the time you will go crazy, I cannot make any sense of it, I assume that eventually it will settle down and become more predictable, but untile then - breath.

You do not have to worry if bitcoin falls because after all the bitcoin price will recover within a certain period of time. If bitcoin price falls better you buy it rather than just worry about your investment, because investing in bitcoin will definitely get a very good profit in a certain period of time.

Market never moves in the same direction if market rise definitely it will drop too. Those who are regular traders they already knows market moves up & down. We just only need to hold on it and wait for its pump. There was no pump and dump. People  bought bitcoins to get free bitcoingold with it, just like the last fork. People kept on buying which caused the price rise. Now people are selling off their bitcoins to since they already got thier alt coin causing the price to go down a bit. Give it few more days and we will see a bit stability.

Few days back many speculations were made that bitcoin will drastically fall after 25th october because of the hard fork and introduction of bitcoin gold i.e the clone of bitcoin but none of those speculations are seen to become a fact . The value is still  high touching almost $6000 . Even if forking is being done ,I don't think that the price will get down to $3000  . It is expected that near new year bitcoin can apparently raise upto $7500 . Nothing is permanent in bitcoin , the value keeps decreasing and increasing within a fraction of time.

yes bitcoin price fluctuate as we see to previous days, at that time its price falls but if nowadays if we see their price its price i think one and half of that time, fluctuation in physical currency is possible then why not in cryptocurrency.

Looks like bitcoin just had started a massive bull run again, we are just above $6300 and its just beginning of the day. I think we can really touch $7000 now, $6500 is just a couple of days from now. Its the end of the month and bitcoin is still not done with October, LOL. I think we shouldn't really be worried if the price of bitcoin falling because when it recovered, the price is going on very strong and even higher than its previous price. i think you don't have to worried because you said that you didn't invest your money in bitcoin so you are not loss anything. but if you want to join in bitcoin world by buying bitcoin, i suggest you to wait until the price is down so you can buy at lower price and then you can keep it until the price increase again. this is the best strategy that you can use but you can not increase the amount of bitcoin if you don't try another way like trading to try increasing the amount. as you know by now, bitcoin have potential increase more in future so i think you might to learn by watching the trend in the market.

What a start from the beginning of the month. The price seems growing tremendously in large scale. Here it took time to reach the barrier of $6000 and in a very short time of less than two day days time the price of bitcoin has surpassed the $7000. Hope the same keeps counting making bitcoin reach $10000.

It did really took long to reach out and break than $6000 barrier but the fork did make the trigger which it did able to pass that range easily on a short range of time and now we are reaching again on next fork the price did able to boost up even reaching almost 7k price which is really an awesome progress for bitcoins price but later on i did really expect for price corrections.

maybe we are a little different opinion about chinese fact that make price fall because basically when bitcoin price fall and china country close all market and that does not have its effect with bitcoin price and finally proven now bitcoin continue to give bright spot to all people and world.....

This post just goes to show how volatile bitcoins are. Now bitcoins costs around roughly $5000 and I guess now is the right time to buy bitcoins. Yes, it is falling and I think the reason is because the hardfork got cancelled but as bounty hunter the current value of bitcoin is still high comparing to it's value in the last years. We don't need to worry because all we need to do is to wait until the price/value goes up again and once I receive my bounty, I'll hold it until it rise again.

It seems that BCH has reached its peak and is now fading after the price has risen dramatically in the past few days. It can replace the position of ETH which being very hard to guess now.

Last september, we see that bitcoin falls to around $2500 because of China and after that the price of bitcoin surges and within 2 months, bitcoin reaches the 7500 mark. I am thinking that the same will happen here so no worries. Just believe that the price of bitcoin will increase in the next months. Keep an eye on it for the investors. :D

I do agree bitcoin will back may it reach 10 k in near future it’s just about creating panic situation between people I am expecting bitcoin will reach 5k because of this panic situation.every 500$ drop will buy some bitcoin and hold it .

I don't worry at all. After seeing BCH price last two days I can only state it is very much up and down coin. Right now it gives certain profit but just a month or two ago people were at x2 loss. There are two logical options now to invest in other alts or wait for BTC to pump again. 7500$ - 8000$ price for BTC is reachable.

I think that the real problem will come when there are no more to discover. There will probably be other currencies with prices rising up  etc etc..

Exactly, there is nothing to worry about that bitcoin is losing value. We have seen many swings in crypto markets and we recovered very fast from each of it. So I guess it is just matter of time and then we will sky rocket again.

I'm not really worrying about this one since bitcoin is very reliable and the history of bitcoin is really stronger than any other cryptocurrency. It may fall for now but I'm sure that before this year end bitcoin will reach a peak since there will also be lots of investment that will happen. I cashed out to take a break from all the drama. I know it is going to drop again so want to be ready for it. I am still hodling most of my BTC but I would like to be able to take advantage of the market plunge since there is a lot of drama happening with BCH. I am surprised that the USDT (tether scandal) didn't have a larger effect. I would recommend everyone get out of bitfinex. I have some alts there but I am having problems transferring the alts out. youre righton this mate,as long as youre holding the coin we will never loss,because price will always goes up and down,maybe sotimes its more on dropping but knowing bitcoin surely it will rise and recover,i once experience the dip last year,thats why when it happens this year i make sure to keep honding and wait until it fully recovers

So that means you will never ever buy bitcoin because i believe bitcoin will not fall down 100% of its market price. The last time i remember it went to 6,000$ but it recovers quicky and reached to 11,000. So, bitcoin is built for that. It will go down but always coming back again.
