Hi,

We all know the fork is going to happen very soon and the alternative coins are at their lowest price. I want to invest a small amount into some of the coins but not sure which ones. So my question is what are you going to invest in or have recently invested in? And how much?

I'm looking at one or two of following:

Waves
Xtrabytes
Komodo
Walton

Can't make up my mind yet. Maybe you can help me.

I bought some Siacoin, Syscoin, Verge, OKcash, Dash, Rippel as longtime investments.

Very interesting is eBTC for speculation. There is a risk but it is cheap at the moment and there is a chance that this curios project whos head left over night and is now handled by a new team out of its community will grow up very fast.

Maybe $1 or $2 at end of the year and who knows what can happen in 12 or 24 month.

Elastic is very low, good coin for short time double.

NEO is at a cheap price, good coin for long term hold.

Viacoin "WAS" low, just spiked 30%, wait for it to go under 1dollar aigan and invest, good coin for short time gain.

Have not bought yet, but seriously considering RPX, assuming that if it gets listed to Binance we could hope for at least x5 profit (conservative target).
That is a bet I am making, not a recommendation. Please inform yourself wisely and carefully before taking the decision to buy. ;)

I have started considering the XRP as the prices have taken a hit and now available at a low rate. From here even if considered a 30 - 40 % rise in a month times should be good enough for a months target as I am looking for a month investment only. May be looks good also for a long term perspective in coming years.

on your list in my opinion good coins is just waves only, the rest is not recommended to buy it.

Komodo and waves is the better ones among the list. Waves there is a sleeping giant that is sure to do an upward trend later on. Komodo on the other hand is another coin with a tremendous potential and good.roadmap that will surely.give off profits to users that will hold KMD. Other coin that I would like to suggest is ethereum, it still has a lot of potential left for growth. The only advice  can give is to research our suggestions yourself OP.

I bought some Stratis. Despite the strong community it is not hyped right know and thats the reason why I bought it.
They should have a working platform 2018, so I hope the rocket will start at the next hype.

How much is the current price compared to ICO price of Elastic (XEL)? It might still be a bit overpriced right now.

Why would u compare the ICO price aiganst the current price? The ICO stage is over, dont count that in.
Im holding elastic for a long time already, the stable price was around 0.35 - 0.40. Im talking about the support price. It spiked to 0.75 a while ago.
Atm its going around 0.25. Wich is cheap for elastic. Very cheap.

Right now I have a small investment of BTC and since it is at his peak I was thinking of going with some ETH instead of it, I hope that it will pay of in the long term.

In your list, I would go for Waves straight away. However I would also consider NEO or LSK as I personnally have high hopes about those two.

If BTC is out of the question, then go for ETH. Ethereum has been the second top cryptocurrency . Most of the altcoins released today are based from ETH.
You might want also to consider Golem. Investing in Golem is sort of like investing in AI. Golem is a global, open sourced decentralized supercomputer that is made up from the combined power of user's machines. In addition, Monero is also a good pick. It offers complete and total secure, private, untraceable transactions. Bitcoin has been with issues of slow transactions nowadays, then Monero can be an option.

At the moment, I've got about a tenth of a btc that I took and put into those. I figure the rise in those after the fork will be more profitable than the little I might make by getting btc gold. I wouldn't be surprised to see a nice rise in all three.

Alt coins have taken quite a bit of beating on the recent days as bitcoin continue to rally to all time high. So it is not easy to pick up alt coins that can survive this red blood bath. However, in the long run, i am confidence in neo, omg, kyber and 0x.

If you are talking about ICO's: Utrust, seems to get all the attention with very few strong contenders.

If not FLIK, AION, KUCOIN, KNC and walton seems a good bet.

if I invest in altcoin, I use ethereum, because ethereum has great potential and everyone knows the ethereum's performance. waves also have potential, and only waves can compete with ethereum

DeepOnion in particular has absurd potential, DeepVault is an excellent technology, and comes much more.

BelugaPay is worth investing to my mind. It has got an interesting concept. BelugaPay aim is to change the current situations: 39% of people around the world are still unbanked.

I have been buying and holding SIACOIN, ethereum as well as Deep Onion. I have high hopes for all three of these coins and plan on holding and accumulating as much of them as I can. I believe they all have potential to continue to grow in value over the long term!

Waves is the one in the list that i am going on.

I am not sure about Xtrabytes but it seems to have a lot of hype and technology talk about that coin. It starts off as 1 satoshi tho :P

Well, coins that i am currently looking at is Coss :)

I remain optimistic to hold LTC and ETH as an investment option. Because, these two altcoins are my mainstay to make money more active.

I am in the same situation and I think that everybody is struggling in the last days, but my advice is to be patience, because there's a lot of caos around, It depend also by the quantity on money that you want to invest, is not the same investing in Neo that's 30 dollas for one piece or investing in IOTA that cost 0.040 dollars each...by the way...both are my favorites ;D ;) ;) ;) ;)

I would look in coins with great fundamentals which have dropped to new all time lows and try and scoop them. Some of these may be- bat, etc, zec, and cfi

Ethereum of course (even if I'm not calling it an altcoin anymore  :) ).

Planning to buy some IOTA and LTC in November

My best bets are OMG, ANT, NEO, ETH, WAVES, EDG, XMR, STEEM. I was already holding these coins, but have increased my holdings during this drop. I believe all these coins have enough potential to give excellent returns in one year period. Where Bitcoin can double or triple by next year. I believe them to go more than 5x by next year. These all are my latest investments. I hold some small cap and POS coins as well.

Now maximum alt coin is big falling down so i think at this situation all crypto is best for invest.But specially i suggest Ethereum,Waves,Ecash,Opus rate is very low.I invest only Waves now.

Komodo has a really big potential.It may be a good time to buy.

Ethereum is a good altcoin because with ethereum you can buy different tokens that is under the market of ethereum and because of ethereum itself it can stand by itself and you can trade different tokens with that altcoin and that is also a good competitor for bitcoin in the next few years for sure.

The price of Etherereum can now be taken as bitcoin and dollars. especially as the bitcoin, the price looks very good.  There is an "airtoken" project that ended 2 weeks ago. Prices are standing at what is really affordable for the moment. With the AirFox browser, it's probably expecting a really good jump. There are a few ideas about indorse.    it's 5.5x multiple less   from the ico price. There is lampix that has lost much value from ico price.

Hello, guys! Can I ask you for an advice about altcoin investments?
I have a strategy from my close friend who told me about crypto currencies first time. He said that the good strategy is to invest in top 10-15 coins each month. And to invest the amount of money I am not afraid to lose, for example 10-20% percent of my monthly salary. These investments must be for a long time period, probably 5-10 years.
As for me, I think that this strategy really makes sense and it should be taken in consideration. But what about you? What do you think?

I'm really interested in other blockchain application platforms. Lisk, Waves and Ardor are my favorites right now, each for their own reasons.

The waves chart looks really tasty right now. I think its a easy way to make profit with waves if you just hold it for couple of weeks.

From your list I know only WCEX and have several referrals. I love the idea of this exchange and hope they will conduct their ICO successfully.

I would really like to invest my money in MONERO, LITECOIN and RIPPLE. All of these coins are based upon unique ideas and can show really good amount of growth in future. MONERO is based ion the ideas of privacy and the transactions are completely secure and untraceable. The price of monero will surely be above 200$ within 2-3 years.
LITECOIN is a project which is known for its quick transactions. It is almost 4 times faster than Bitcoin as it has a block time of 2.5 minutes.
RIPPLE is a project based up on the idea of global banking and global value transfer. Many banks have partnered with ripple and hence this project can show tremendous growth in coming years.

I am very surprised that these coins still cost not to much..
As you already wrote, all of them are based on great idea, all of them look so perspective and expectations about them are so high..
But most of them still cost not to much. Especially ripple. Less then 1$. Why are they so underestimated at this stage? Do you really think they will noticeably increase in few years and they are worth to be hold?

Lately i have been trying to accumulate Ark. I think Proof of Staking and Delegated Proof of Staking are both very good concepts for cryptocurrencies and will beat Proof of Work in the future (with more adoption and scalability, and less to worry about centralization)

For longevity you can buy an etherium or participate in some kind of ICO.

Out of the ones you have suggested Wvaes would be the best option. For Waves there is a lot of promising development on the horizon such as partnership with Deloitte and Gazprombank. It is highly undervalued at the moment.
Other than Waves I would highly suggest Monero. With a market capital of three billion dollars it has a lot of potential. Also within 2-3 months Monero can reach a price of $300 per annum. So it is highly preffered.

Look into COSS too. Not only the coin price is still low (Price $0.11, Marketcap of $9M), but also COSS distributes 50% of the fees it earned from the exchange, payment gateway and merchant services to Coss Token holder. The weekly dividend is in the form of different coins traded in Coss Exchange. The Coss Exchange is still in beta; the volume is expected to go up in the future as more coins are listed (as the volume goes up, weekly fee allocation to tokenholder goes up too). Based on opinion, Coss is grossly undervalued right now. Please research this Coss and you will be a believer. All the best!!

I want to invest in CDL, confideal project`s coins. I believe they should rise a price, and also I plan to use Confideal to make smart contracts for my personal use. I think 2 or 3 eht will be enough

If author is asking about the current situation (and if he is not an experienced trader) - it is better to hold all funds in BTC. Because of hardforks, especially B2X. More BTC you have - more money you will earn from air.
If the author is an experienced trader, he can "play" on current price swings on market (because of hardforks) and be smart and allocate his funds from altcoins to BTC and than back, while altcoins are cheap. You need to choose the right moment.

If the author is asking about long term period - it's all upon him. Investigate and research the top 15 coins (or others which you think are perspective) and invest ;)

I bought waves coins its a cheap price when I bought recently, although its prices is not steadily increasing but it remains as one of the consistent in the trading industry, regardless if you are afraid to take too much risk you should try buying one these because they may come in handy at some other time. I would like to share my recent alt coin that i buy.

One of them is ETP, metaverse which I see it as the next Neo.
Another one is kucoin (kcs), bought about a week ago but it is just listed on CMC.
Another one is COSS which is currently still in the red but i will hold on a longer to see the development.

Fork has come and gone. It did pretty well for price of bitcoin and to be honest I really like that. Most of them I haven't even heard of, which is in itself bad - because usually, when something is good and innovative, there is a certain coverage about the project or as you might have heard of it as "hype". I just bought some ETH due to rummors that ICOs and alts will return in China. Even if they didn't allow them again, ETH is pretty much one of the stable coins around.

You should wait until you are able to invest in this new cryptocurrency coming out called Grin. It is very similar to Bitcoin in the way it came out and the way it is being developed. Right now Litecoin looks quite promising. It has been around for a while, and the rumors are that a few of the heavyweights have thrown support behind that currency (especially in east Asian nations such as China, Japan and South Korea).
