EARNING INCENTIVES & REWARDS
CashBag members earn tokens each time they transact via the CashBag platform and purchase from a participating merchant.

1.  Yes, when you shop online as a cashbag member you choose a currency you want to get paid in.  It's usually the currency of your country.
We offer USD, EUR, ZAR and support for more currencies coming.
You can also choose to earn part or all your cash back in CBC crypto.

Our objective is to limit fees on transactions, which is why we created the blockchain settlement platform.  We are not a bank, but in the countries we anticipate rolling out the cards we will partner with banks or acquirers and will obtain the licensing required for each jurisdiction.

VISA/Mastercard fees will still apply to the merchants, but we will aim to minimise fees to our members.

Pretty nice! Visa and MasterCard allows to avoid any fees besides exchange ones.

It could be hard to cover all the countries because of strict conditions that refer to financial systems. However, if advertising companies are interested in your service, you will be successful for sure!

What's wrong with the cash back model?
It's the cost and time it takes to get the savings into consumers wallets.
Bank fees make it impossible to do micro-payments.  Their processing fees just eat up all the value!

From my point of view, the worst is a BTC since I do not pay with it normally, what is more, I would not likely to have cash back. With USD I can do both things. That's a good question.
When you shop online and use your credit card, we track the sales.  In CashBag you can decide whether you want to earn your cash back in FIAT currency or CBC. 

In addition, our advertisers will pay their rewards (over and above cash rewards) in CBC.
CBC can be held in your ERC20 wallet, used to redeem for products on CashBag or traded.

In addition, no further tokens will be minted, so once the allocation is issued, CashBag will purchase tokens in issue to settle rewards.

Would you mind creating your own wallet? Usually the plastic card is a client of your bank account. What will your be like? Cooperation with banks? Or you are going to create a card that connects crypto / fiat operations. Looks really complicated

Hello there, yes we will be implementing our own ERC20 Wallet for CashBag, it's on the roadmap.
Already members can link a crypto wallet to their profile and any rewards earned will be transferred to the linked wallet.

Once we launch the crypto-enabled plastic, these will link to our own ERC20 wallets to enable instant withdrawal and offline shopping transactions.
The card will use Just In Time funding, so at the point of purchase will convert crypto to cash through the Visa/Mastercard netwoks.

Could you please describe the CBC road? Firstly, advertising company should by some. Than you have some contracts with merchants, and ad company pay in CBC. Then I buy something from this merchant and also get CBC as a cash back. What should I do after?

So I can use MyEtherWallet. It’s ok. But are you going to add more crypto? If I buy any alto on the exchange, then I pay commission fee, have some restrictions on withdrawal. Would be nice if I could get any altcoins by using your service!  ;)

Advertisers can pay for advertising and cash back rewards using the token, that is correct.  They'd buy the token from current holders at current market prices.  We will honour any redemptions (advertisers buying advertising or paying for rewards) at the issue price.  This means that holders cannot lose the value.

Once all our issued tokens are in circulation we will use advertisers funds to purchase back tokens as advertisers need them to issue rewards, which will ensure liquidity.

The formulae is described in the whitepaper.

Your CBC will be usable in a number of ways, either on our platform to buy goods or it can be traded / sold to any other counterparty.
Any ERC20 wallet can hold CBD, transfer / sell / or trade it. 

We will honour the CBC for use on our platform, so we will accept CBC as a payment method.

Why are you sure that people who hold your tokens will seek them to your platform? Or are you going to buy them on the exchanges?

Once our token sale is concluded the token may be listed by exchanges, which will enable trading.
We will also be building out our own platform where members will be able to use / trade & sell their CBC.

After the initial token issue is fully distributed no further tokens will be created and the company will buy back tokens to issue as incentive rewards to members.

The price will follow Hartwick’s Rule where through our buyback program the tokens will maintain liquidity and increase in value over time as more users enter the ecosystem.

Due to scarcity and the limited supply we anticipate that the unit price of CBC will rise as demand, driven by member earnings, increases the price.

Advertisers who buy will most likely buy at the ruling price and exchange these for advertising services, offering tokens as rewards back into the system.

If you buy coins back, does it mean that with every transaction the price will increase? I see this model: afrter tha lap from user to user the coin goes through the exchange, that means you will be forced to pay extra fee to that exchange. So if we imagine that every lap cost of CBC is fixed, it must increase for an exchange fee at least. Every lap for you. It would be reasonable to sell it to ad cps with higher price, but holders of the coin, ordinary users, might see the trend and decide to keep them out the coin flows. So these savings leads to an increase in price again.

I might be wrong, but don’t you think that price could become very high, which in turn will force you to adjust prices for advertising services. But in this scenario users will suffer. So it’s not worth to keep CBC at all.

I think u r right! There is no reason to keep coins then. BUT you didn’t include demand in you model, it’s kind of a big deal, because shifts in demand also shifts price. I don’t see what might affect it, but quite sure there is something!

All advertising services are denominated in the local market currency where the advertisers places the advertising.  When advertisers buy advertising they buy tokens at the then ruling rate, so if the token price increases they would  buy tokens or even a fraction of a token to the value of the US$ they need  to pay the rewards.

So, advertisers add liquidity to the market and drive demand for our token. 
The counterparty, holders of the token, dictate the selling price.

Ah! Then it’s clear now. So the price of tokens does not being adjusted. Only the quantity. I do not no whether it’s good or not.

But I got your idea. What about countries with exotic currencies (not dollars, euro, or any popular one)?

We currently support ZAR, USD & EURO.
Other currencies will be added as we expand markets.

By fixing the advertising prices in fiat, we can ensure members earn the correct % cash back, which may then be either withdrawn or converted to CBC at the current market rate.

It’s an easy way for non-crypto people to gain exposure to the crypto market.
We anticipate in our roadmap our wallet will also enable swaps, for instance CBC/ETH, so members can use their rewards to buy other cryptos.

That’s enough for the start for sure! However, I know that KYC, whatever it means, doesn’t allow American citizens to join icos. Nevertheless, USD is the most stable currency. ETH is possibly the most stable out of crypto-currencies. So that’s enough to start with.

The reason many ICO's exclude the USA is because they are worried their ICO will be seen as an offer of a security (investment).

When tokens are purchased from holders, they're used as rewards and put back into the system, so for instance, if Advertiser A has to issue a $1 reward to cashbag user Z, they will purchase the token either via the company or directly from a holder at the current market price.

If the token has appreciated in value, they'd still pay the $1, but get less tokens for it.  They then allocate, through our smart contracts, to pay the reward to cashbag user Z



Each consumer transaction will be verifed by the advertiser utilizing our existing real-time transactional tracking solution which is integrated to our Advertisers. Our platform is established and currently tracking all our transactional revenue.

Additionally, we interface with 3rd party tracking solutions already deployed by Advertisers through our API interface, enabling advertisers to capture and approve transactions on the CashBag Ledger.

Payment will be made through smart contracts for Transactional & Advertising fees.

The advertiser (A) sends a payment in CBC tokens or cash equivalent which is credited to an Advertiser escrow wallet (A) and converted to tokens. As the consumer shops online and earns the transaction fee, the payments unlocks.

The advertiser remits payment through a smart contract (SC) which allocates the payment to the consumer from the advertiser wallet.

The smart contract splits the payment, allocating part of the payment “the transaction fee” to CashBag (C1), and passing on the balance on to the Consumer (C2).

Are they going to issue a planting card? Well, I don’t think they can afford to have such a huge, or even enormous campaign to create a whole new system. What you are talking about is a bank. It’s not about cashbag, since they offer a service that is inside the financial model. No credits or loans, no deposits, just cb that is a part of advertising companies payments for a market place

Our long term roadmap includes integrating our wallet with a visa/MasterCard enabled just in time settlement platform.   this will require licensing in the jurisdictions that it is integrated in.

That’s really hard to do I think. I do not know how to prepare all the documents, but I think it possible though having enough resources. So CBC Card may have a great potential. You know there still no such cards for altcoins, if you are the first to do that CBC will be pushed forward in case of a great demand. Then I see the problem of ‘not enough coins’ in the economy, just imagine how big the demand will be. You should think of issuing coins further. The demand may be adjusted by increasing prices for your coin. We will see :)

In my experience it may take from a month to six months! This does not mean that you want to sell them immediately cuz it’s much better to forget about tokens and become happy when passing the year you notice that they cost 2x more than initially. ICO is never a short-term investment.

It can take much longer! The main cause is that the token must become liquid. There must be a demand for it. I would not count on getting any profits for a year or smth

We’re still in discussions with card issuers on this, but our philosophy is to enable our consumers to earn as much cash back as possible, so the card will act as a vehicle to earn cash back in store when you shop. Merchants will pay the processing fees,,the way they usually do in the visa/Mastercard relationship and by using the Merchant MID coding we’d be able to track the transactions and assign rebates to our members.

Each merchant we contract with gives cash back based on their own commercials.

So for instance, hotels.com gives 7% of the booking (yes!  I know!!! That’s massive :-)
While Emirates airlines gives 1%, so each merchant chooses their own cash back level.

As you can imagine, booking a $2000 vacation for a family can easily nett you cash back of over $140, just for booking through CashBag, plus get you a further 10% in CBC

If you want to consider risks then the least risky ICOs are those which are of projects that already exist as successful companies. Have you heard about Telegram ICO? There is a queue. They planned a particular amount and investors for 4 to 10 times bigger invstments were found. CashbaG is a nice project. The idean is nice at least, but I cannot see any advantages compared to existing ones that banks offer.

I think main advantage is an amount of cb that you may receive. This is surprisingly easy.
Each merchant receives a MID (MERCHANT ID) from MasterCard / VISA / AMEX.
By linking this identity to the CashBag member transactions Identity, which is linked to the Card Number, we can track transactions when you swipe instore.  In actual fact you won't even need to use a "CASHBAG" card. 

Any card you link to your account will enable us to poll the merchant and identify transactions that match that authenticated card.
There will of course be KYC requirements for this to ensure you can only add cards you own to your account ;-)

KYC is a necessary part of doing business.  As we deal with money and are required by local and international law to comply with KYC and AML laws, we have instituted best practise to ensure we comply.

Hello. I have a question for devs. I found your project exist since 2015. However using the google chrome extension there are only ~560 users. Also google play app was downloaded only 1000 times. Doesn't seems to be good progress for 2 years business specially when cashback services are pretty popular nowadays. Can you please explain this?

 the chrome extension was released in South Africa fairly recently, and is then rolled out from there.
The app is also on Firefox and Safari. we are also working on an IE version.  Chrome is not a big OS for our users, Firefox is more popular.
Our extensions are one part of our growth strategy, the other is brand awareness and changing consumers shopping patterns to start their journey through CashBag.

As for the use of funds, we’ll be investing heavily back into growing the network effect of the platform, increasing membership and driving up usage.  This requires tech, and supporting infrastructure. Our plans scale as our token sale targets do. As we increase the number of tokens sold, so we’ll be able to accelerate the speed at which we move into new markets and deploy our in-market footprint.

Another great question.  For us it’s less about raw downloads than it is about MAU, monthly active users, the real usage metric that matters.  Our app is only a companion for registered shoppers, currently most of whom are in the South African market.  This will change as the marketing gears up and we shift focus to aggressively pursuing more customers in other markets.

Most of our MAU activity is desktop based.  It’s shopping for travel, accommodation, office supplies, clothing etc.
This is not too say that the app is not important, it is critical in our growth, but we didn’t chase app installs for its sake alone early on. 

As you see our in-market advertising come on stream it will however prominently include the app as a driver for onboarding.

As I know only social media campaigns was suspended. I think because of low conversion and ban of facebook Cashbag page. Twitter is also announced banning of crypto Ads. So basically social media channels has very low conversion. Blog and translation campaigns are still running, i don't know about signature tho

Thank you for your query. Unfortunately we were forced to suspend all the bounty program activity.
The Bounty manager is no longer actively involved and we are internally managing the program.
The stakes were assigned on the spreadsheet through to the end of the last week the program ran and it was announced.

Once the token sale is complete we will be closing out and calculating the stakes and issuing the tokens, as per the bounty agreement.

That's a really good question!  Actually, compared to bank fees, Ethereum tx fees are still very low, so we're able to very favorably compete.
We can of course do settlement at a lower priority as well, so we don't always need to compete with the high priority transactions that are taking up higher gas fees when we process, our tx's can wait a little longer to complete. 
There are also other solutions, like batching the transactions together, but we're in favor of more realtime approaches to settlement ;-)

Rest assured we are attending to the bounty channel even though activity was paused, and will measure that the stakes are allocated and paid at the end of the token sale, in terms of our agreement.

We are currently reviewing our KYC procedures for Token Recipients and this may have an impact on bounty and airdrop token recipients.

Due to legislation in South Africa we are required to KYC all recipients of our token, so prior to allocation we will be requesting you to register a cashbag user account at www.cashbag.co and connect this account with the same ETH wallet address and email address.

Within 4 weeks after the token sale closes the token distribution will be done.

If you talk about bounty rewards, in official announcement is information: "We are currently reviewing our KYC procedures for Token Recipients and this may have an impact on bounty and airdrop token recipients."
If I remember correctly, there was also information that subject of KYC for bounty hunters should be clarified about half of that month, so wait a week more, and everything should be clear.
