NEW DISTRIBUTION

We have published the new distribution smart contract. It got the same functions to distribute the tokens through airdrop; but we have also included a fallback function in it, so everyone can claim the tokens with a 0 ETH transaction.

The distribution will be unlocked on the day when the airdrop is planned, and will remain open for the next 3 days. After that you should wait for the following distribution date. After you send the transaction and receive your EBYTE, the address will be blacklisted for the current distribution. We will whitelist it again before the next one.


For every ETH you will receive 0.1 EBYTE
For every 1 EBYTE you will receive an additional 0.2 EBYTE (20%)


HOW DOES IT WORK?

Just send a transaction to the contract address: 0xb69a50F98A49F85fd2042813e1647b02DC43D71f
It is not necessary to send ETH, the transaction can be 0 ETH; we suggest you to use MyEtherWallet (you can send 0 ETH with it), if you use Mist or Metamask you cannot send a transaction without value, the minimum amount is 1 wei (0.000000000000000001 ETH).
What is really important is to set a gas limit of at least 120,000. For the gas price we suggest you to refer to ETH Gas Station (https://ethgasstation.info/) website: pick the "Gas Price SafeLow (Gwei)" on top of the page and use it as minimum to avoid getting stuck with the transaction.

I've watched and pushed this project because I like it very much.

It is linked to the ETH balance, instead of the BTC balance. The distribution model is pretty much the same as Byteball.
Is it a copycat of Byteball? Yes, maybe, no one is is saying the opposite.

There are a lot of people today using Ether more than Bitcoin: for ICOs, airdrops, smart contracts, and so on. So why not rewarding people for using the Ethereum currency?

This is quite a good project, because I REALLY liked the Byteball programme, unfortunately I did not have any Bitcoins so could not join. I only have less than 1 ETH but it seems if i keep collecting the 10% each airdrop, it can be significant.

Please learn from Byteball mistakes of BIG distribution, and really make it slow and tiny for many months, that way you get a lot of wide distribution and slowly increasing value.

Will your wallet be as advanced as the one Byteball has? such as escrow and smart contracts within wallet.

Because with an exchange wallet you are not the owner of your private key. And without the private key you cannot access your address in a wallet that supports ERC20 tokens

We rounded down to 0.001 because Ethereum is not capped like Bitcoin

ICO(s) are too many now. All we've are asking for and interested are the ones with longevity plan in place, because we're tired of losing money. Set a standard the will impress investors to join.

since this is a new token - no one owns any byteballs, so they the most anyone can gain is 0.001 EBYTE per eth.

After the first airdrop, tokens are tradable, at which point - people can acquire EBYTES and the second airdrop be eligible for the 10% additional .

Yes, more or less. No one owns Etherball right now, and everyone will get 0.001 EBYTE per ETH, but also for ETH fractions.
The distribution will count every amount down to wei (which is 0.000000001 ETH); this is because EBYTE got 9 decimal digits, so every lowest amount below 1 wei will not be considered



Yes, exactly. You will receive EBYTE for your ETH, but you can also buy EBYTE on market and acquire a 10% more on the next distribution (which will be every month on Full Moon)



If you don't want to change your ETH address you don't need to sign up again. We will keep all the addresses already registered in a public list

Exactly, for those who have no experience with Byteball, be aware that when rewards were bigger, it only prompted people to buy up massively before distribution, and then immediately dump all of it just for pure profit taking. Byteball is still awesome but they suffered from price manipulation when they doubled their airdrop distributions.

Stick to this, if possible adjust even lower when you can. And do seek out merchants like byteball did!

The distribution value is not fixed in the contract, we deployed it so we can change every value, percentage or whatever in any distribution.

We use Google Forms because we need a list of addresses to send the tokens with the distribution through the contract, it would be impossible to link every single ETH wallet out there to our token.
So who is willing to participate has to register and link his wallet to us



There is no ip tracking, we only ask for email because we would like to understand how many people apply for the first distribution. We know there are people using more then one email to register more addresses, but we hope their not the majority so we can have a clear look on a good statistic before the first distribution.
Actually we are suggesting to use different email to register more than one address, because there is no explicit "one wallet required".

Well, actually the point is to not trade the token for the moment.

I think there was a little misunderstanding on what our project is and how it should have a value with this low amount. If you expected a distribution, a free airdrop like any other out there that gives you thousands of tokens this is not the right place; we got a limited market cap of 1,000,000, and giving 1,000 each for example means that we have only 1,000 holders.  The distribution is low because we don't want to have fast dumpers, we want to build a strong user base of holders from the beginning instead. There is no sense in selling this low amount right now, but to have an idea of what we are talking about just have a look at Etherdelta: people want to sell their tokens with a change for ETH that is over a hundred, and the first transactions were @ 0.04 ETH (that's over 12$, isn't it?); this means that even with this low distribution people are giving the token a big value!

We got plans to distribute the tokens for months, maybe years. We got plans for merchants integration, plans for anonymous transactions when zk-SNARKS will hit Ethereum Mainnet. We will look for expanding the team next year when more people will be aware of the project and we will have a wider distribution, to build apps and a dedicated wallet and other ideas.

We have distributed less than 0.01% because our project is new, not every ETH holder out there is aware of our project. We didn't do any marketing campaign. We'll probably distribute a bigger amount per ETH with next airdrop, but do not expect anything over 0.01 EBYTE per ETH (and this is a 10x compared to the first airdrop). We will also allow to register more than 1 address per person.

We are not here to dump a token, again: we want to build a long term distribution and have a strong community that believe in our token!

It is important to understand that our main goal is to reach as many people as possible, not to distribute a lot of coins to a few users. More people means more consensus, which lead to acceptance and give the coin an important value in the long term (again, no room for fast dumpers here).
In the next days we will announce everything related the second distribution (which will probably be on December the 3rd, Full Moon); the percentage of interest we are looking at it's 10%, but we are still valuating if we can increase it to 15 or 20% for this time. We will let you know.

This is because ED only shows the first 3 decimal digits; if you hover with your mouse on the balance you can see your full amount.

Well, actually is Sell/Buy 110/0.05, but the order book is quite unrealistic, the price is given by the low amount we distributed on the first round. People wants to sell at a very high price to get a profit with their low amount. It is more realistic the price of trades already executed, which is 0.04 ETH

Read the ANN before you ask for an airdrop - if you don't agree to the terms of the spender don't participate any project.

We raised the amount for the second distribution, it doesn't mean it is raised forever. We wanted to attract more people since the first distribution only gave away a few amount (less than 0.01%)
But keep in mind that our basic distribution is: 0.001 EBYTE for 1 ETH, and 10% interest on EBYTE

This air drop really doesn't make much sense. Can we get an explanation as to what 18TH being 0.01 byte is? Plus why do we haveto input our emails and wait endlessly? Good looking project though with some potential of the devs execute it

The explanation of the ETH/EBYTE ratio is in the whitepaper. The email request is to avoid spam (reCaptcha in Google Forms can be activated only if you request emails). And you don't have to wait endlessly, because the distribution is every month. This is not a fast distribution for fast dumpers, everything is done to have a lot of holders, so the token can raise in value through scarcity and wide consensus

Yesterday was the 3rd of December, and it was intended to be the day of our second distribution.
Unfortunately, not a single transaction passed. Our smart contract requires a lot of gas for the distribution function (4 millions and more) and usually a block can contain up to 6.7 millions gas; but the network is now congested by this new kitties game (https://qz.com/1145833/cryptokitties-is-causing-ethereum-network-congestion/), as you can see in this chart: https://etherscan.io/chart/pendingtx

We tried a lot of transaction yesterday and today, but only one passed, and we had to pay a lot for that single transaction. As we stated since the beginning, this is a free project maintained for the moment with personal resources, and it is impossible for us to pay 10$ to get every transaction been accepted by the miners (we have to do 86 transactions right now to distribute to all the 8k+ addresses registered).

We decided to suspend the distribution until the network will be usable again, or until we find a new solution.

We continued to monitor the situation in the last two days but the network is still jammed: right now over 15k transactions are unconfirmed and it's still impossible to perform a full distribution without having an impact of hundreds dollars for our pockets.
Meanwhile we are working on a completely different way of distribution, a new smart contract is on its way to be tested. The idea is to switch to a "self claim" distribution, where everyone can request the tokens with a transaction. We will get you posted in the next days with new updates.

We have published the new distribution smart contract. It got the same functions to distribute the tokens through airdrop; but we have also included a fallback function in it, so everyone can claim the tokens with a 0 ETH transaction. This is the best solution for now to distribute in a jammed blockchain situation. HOW DOES IT WORK?

It is not necessary to send ETH, the transaction can be 0 ETH; we suggest you to use MyEtherWallet (you can send 0 ETH with it), if you use Mist or Metamask you cannot send a transaction without value, the minimum amount is 1 wei (0.000000000000000001 ETH).
What is really important is to set the gas limit to at least 120,000. For the gas price we suggest you to refer to ETH Gas Station (https://ethgasstation.info/) website: pick the "Gas Price SafeLow (Gwei)" on top of the page and use it as minimum to avoid to get stuck with the transaction.

When you request the tokens, you will see 2 tokens transaction: the first one refers to the percentage of interest, which will be 0 if you didn't receive any in the first distribution; the second one refers to the distribution based on ETH holding.

I did it, it worked.  I sent the transaction from Exodus Wallet.  I can't view the returning transaction in Exodus but I see on EtherScan that the Etherball came back in two transactions, just like you said.  Thanks.

It's based on what you own. The more ETH and EBYTE in your registered airdrop wallet, the more EBYTE you receive from the next airdrop that is snapshotted tomorrow. Receiving of the airdrop can take a few days, but the snapshot is tomorrow.

The mass adoption of a cryptocurrency relies totally on consensus and requires a total distribution, that's why we are realeasing 95% of Ebytes for free.

It is not taking off like you said because we prefere to distribute silently for now. We want to avoid dumpers, you should consider yourself like some kind of elite who got access to a coin long time before it was known to a bigger public.
Other exchanges will come when we feel it is the right time, from our point of view it's a non-sense right now to trade a token that has been distributed only for a small percentage. We want to increase the distribution rate though, expect more coins to land in your wallets starting from next drop.

Glad to see you listening to your community! I'm sure this will be to the benefit of your coin. It already looks professional on ethplorer. Also the 1 mill supply, among other things will generate quite the buzz once it moves around and gets known. Can see it being worth quite a bit once people are in substantial enough amounts to be trading it.

Just take a look at hacken, lingering between 4-5$ a piece and it's got a 3 mill supply I believe.

Nice.  I also caught the part above about How the Ebytes are stored in a smart contract that only allows distribution.  Very nice way to handle this, and will relieve the fear of the dev dumping. 

I also question why you are not promoting this, running a campaign, or something, to bring awareness, but I see you have your reasons, and I do appreciate that you are giving the early holders a head start.

The sixth distribution has been done. Next one (and probably all the others to come) will be as a self claim airdrop (like the one we did before). This has been decided because we want to focus more on marketing and we are also planning a bounty campaign.
The procedure is very simple: just send a transaction of 0 ETH to the smart contract where the tokens are stored for the distribution, and you will get back the percentage bonus for your EBYTE holding and the airdrop for your ETH holding. It is important to set the gas limit (not the gas price) to 120,000!

For every ETH you will receive 0.1 EBYTE
For every 1 EBYTE you will receive an additional 0.2 EBYTE (20%)

It will be unlocked on the day when the airdrop is planned, and will remain open for the next 3 days. After that you should wait for the following distribution date.

After you send the transaction and receive your EBYTE, the address will be blacklisted for the current distribution. We will whitelist it again before the next one.

Can only registered Addresses from the database use the new Distribution Method or can any Address claim free EBYTE?

Any address is whitelisted, but all the addresses can request tokens only once per airdrop. When the distribution is closed we will whitelist again all the addresses before the next one.
