Since 2013 , the price of Bitcoin still increasing until it has passed 7k $ . i'm thinking about the Ethereum and it could be the same scenario like bitcoin after 2 or 3 years . is it possible ?

I also believe in the fact that it can also happen. It is possible with the foundation that ethereum has made in this crypto industry. Many people use ethereum it has a faster and cheaper transaction compared to bitcoin. It is mostly used in these ICO because of its flexibility.

It's a good coin, I like how the smart contracts work. But I don't think we will see much movement on eth yet, and prices will remain stagnant for a while.

of course, seeing the stability of the price of ethereum and the more projects using smart contract, I think it will be achieved.

Yes it's possible, as long as its development is active and keeps on innovating. They have a great team of developer, which make the coin futurr promising. Smart contract has a lot of potential, and its current use is nothing compared to what we could have in the future. AFAIK there is no mainstream thing that use smart contract as of today. It's still in the world of cryptocurrency.

I can see Ethereum side by side with Bitcoin in the future, each one complement each other. Bitcoin as the main, gold-like currency/assets, and Ethereum as a mean of innovating and more specific use cases.

It will never happen since Bitcoin is a lot different and it is the first coin in the world. Along with Ethereum you see a lot of coins everyday so its not possible to gain high price like Bitcoin.

I believe there is so much more to happen when it comes to the future of ethereum, since it is still young any are epeculating about the future of this coin for the speculations, trust and fear are the driving factors that causes the prices of coins to flactuate. We can just hope for the better and technically should spread our coins, for if one project is all you have chances are you may go broke or you may get rich, I prefer the latter.

Yes it is possible.   I believe that Ethereum is a more advanced digital money than Bitcoin. Ethereum has more features than digital money. I also think Ethereum is not a rival to Bitcoin. Ethereum is a brand new technology that will use blockchain technology for different purposes, and after 2-3 years the future of Ethereum will be very good.

No one really knows but in my opinion, bitcoin is the REAL future. Why settle for a cryptocurrency that has less value, compared to bitcoin? It might show some potential in the future since it is one that has shown steady growth throughout the years but bitcoin will surely defeat its value. While it's a good coin,  it's not one of the first if not the first digital currencies like bitcoin.  For this reason,  I doubt that it will ever make it to/past 7k,  but I could be corrected any time now.  However,  I doubt this will happen.  (Feel free to reply or pm me if I'm proven wrong at some point.  xD)

Yes ethereum has a brigther future but it not means it will replace bitcoin on the top of crypto currency, ethereum is good to hold for long period of time like bitcoin it is next coin to bitcoin, and it has more miners and investors that is why the demand are continue to increase.

The possibilty is less that ETH could follow the path of bitcoin like hitting the $7,000 too because there are already lot of altcoins to choose from and bitcoin is the strongest challenge in which people are already build the trust and the reputation of their investments. If just happen that ETH was the first to be created as 1st digital coin then it will be the ETH is the one with $7K value right now. But at least ETH is the lead of all altcoins that is why there is a less possibility but less is better than none.

Sure, it's possible, especially because strong fundamentals (as we see in Bitcoin) aren't even necessary to achieve that. Really all that is required is a perfect storm of market sentiment and hype.

Having said that, I think it's one of the more ambitious and innovative projects in cryptocurrency. Yes, it's considerably more centralized than Bitcoin, and it has major scalability problems. But I think it will draw more application-level developer talent than other networks, given it's position on the cutting edge of this sector. And I think it will continue to receive a lot of the hype.

Speculatively, a lot depends on the viability of proof-of-stake and sharding. I'm not fully convinced in either case, but I think the core team is fairly prolific, and I'm exciting to see what they produce. In the long run, my portfolio tends towards BTC, but I believe that ETH will provide opportunities in the next few years to increase that BTC stash.

bitcoin has real usage mostly as a currency and is adopted by real world businesses not virtual fake ones. the shops like restaurants, coffee shops, all other kinds are actually accepting bitcoin as a real money.
ethereum is not a currency and it has no usage apart from creation of ICO! which is not going to last that long since all the countries are banning ICOs these days. and it is not the only altcoin that can do this and it is not even the best one that can do this :D

Chances are there because from 2008 it takes more than 9 years to reach 7500$ for Bitcoin. Now we are seeing the potential in ETH but how far the smart contract can be implemented in real life environment. Once if people find how to implement smart contract in real entity then the price ETH will increase.

This is a very good question. Smart Contract. We have seeing this technical terms around ETH but has anyone really implement it and becomes successful? Its like this one is for the future however, I do believed that it hasn't gain the much attention from developers to used and implement it. It is possible for ether to have market cap around 120 billions (market cap of btc now) in 3-4 years. Then it would worth around 1200$. You can't compare prices of those coins directly because there is 5-6 more ether then btc. If ether price will be 7000$ it's market cap should be around 600-700 billions.

I think the price of Ethereum may reach $ 2,000 in 2018 as this market has many new technologies and will certainly be more widely applied.

Well ethereum is already in a great spot if you ask my opinion. Ethereum serves a great purpose and helps us all make all these trades much more easier. For that reason i don't see ethereum increase to level of bitcoin like 6-7k but it will keep growing in a slow and steady pace.

ETH is surely the future. I think that it has the potential because of the support it gets. So it will not be a surprise for me when Ethereum rises above 1k in the near future.

Thats why i also invested a little bit in ETH. I just simply don't know for 100% if its going very high.

Of course Ethereum will grow up, it's the future. Ethereum is for everyone who missed the train on bitcoin and they are hoping it will do the same.

I also don't see Etherueum getting into that range as well. This year alone it has reach its ATH but it didn't sustained and fall to what in the range of $200-$300. So it will take a lot of time on its end to reach what the price of bitcoin as today. But I believed that Ethereum is really a solid coin among the shitcoins that has been popping around. It may go as high as $1K-$2K in the next years, and yes its gonna be slow but surely it can go there with the help of our community based investors.

It is possible to happen in ethereum but it is very unlikely that it will do a bullish trend and be like bitcoin because it is overvalued right now. For now I think ethereum will be on a bearish trend for a prolonged period of time before it rise again. Probably ethereum would just remain to be one of the top coins in terms of marketcap but it will reach 7000$ when bitcoin becomes mainstream in the near future.

Ethereum with its vast powerful and popular projects inside will probably endure in long term. I am not saying it will beat Bitcoin but who knows? Once Segwit2x will be successful in overthrowing Core, then I am not sure what will be the reaction on most of Bitcoin stake holders.

In the last month, eth is practically a pump & dump. Lots of spoofing & trades @ 0.01 eth during low volume hours --- these tell me it's now a speculative device. Since the crackdown on ICOs, eth has no more realistic use case and will remain like this for months or years until either 1. a new use case emerges or 2. it collapses.

2017 has been the first important year for Ethereum, it's very hard to know what the future reserves for it, I still see Bitcoin as a more solid investment.

I am also agree with your opinion about this year is best for ethereum prices. So many projects will create their own token based on ethereum contracts and this excessed demand will result on higher ethereum prices. After 2 years price will be more higher than 2000$ if my prediction is right.

I think Ethereum also can go up to 1000$-1500$ in next year. But it can't touch 7000$ easily, though it's have it's own platform, quick transactions and lower fees. Most of the ICO is using ethereum so that it's value is increasing day by day. But BITCOIN is BITCOIN. No coin can touch it or become it. So that I think ethereum needs atleast 6-7years to touch 7000$.

Bitcoin has fixed supply of 21 million. My understanding is that ethereum doesn't, and not sure it ever will even when it hits POS.

In my own and humble speculation, ETH is the next big thing after BTC is gone (perhaps). ETH has fueled the rise of ICOs who are using ERC20  based coins in the market. For me, if BTC will be gone for no reason, ETH will be the best alternative following BTC's absence.

Etherum is a very fine coin. It is ranked second after bitcoin. Currently it is suffering from some bad information but Etherum is a good coin for long term investment. You can consider investing in it now.

I was though that ethereum is the futures but now i am looking and wacthing boscoin. Ethereum has many2 problem. Today ethereum face a big problem for those who use multi signature in parity. Im programmer and I talk a lot about this with my programmer friends and most of they say that ethereum like all cryptocurrencys are over valuated. But they point out that ethereum is much better than bitcoin so there is atleast some value. I recomend buying three to ten ethereum but dont invest more than 5% of your wealth.

In my prospective in the future etherium will be the future coin but it cannot replace the bitcoin in the first place, if you invest in etherium you have the future to be millionare. Its just my observation according the price hike of the etherium.

The entire market capitalization of all coins is currently at 200 billion and ether's market share is about 15%, which isn't bad. If that market share will increase by let's say 30% then and the future market can will be about 2.5 trillion, then we'll see Ether raising to that much. It's a long way but definitely doable if you ask me. We've already seen this major shift from traditional money to virtual and now we're seeing the same thing materializing in thanks to the Blockchain technology. Everything will be tokenized in the future, if that happens, Ether will be so much more than just 7k.

Don't know what you are talking about planned developments scenario in terms of price. Ethereum does have a highly centralized leadership and core development, but I do not believe they have any influence on price, if they did it would not have taken them so long to reach the thousand dollar barrier. Recently I wrote in this thread that by the spring of ETH it will be 2000 USD. Then it barely cost 900 dollars, but it is already 1400 dollars and is approaching 1500. My forecast for spring remains in force, I believe that with corrections to spring it will come to 2000.

I do believe that the coin can be the future of the cryptocurrencies as since its origin the coin has shown a rapid growth (1100%) and now holds a market capital of $67 billion. Also the coin has one of the best development teams behind it and not only as a token for smart applications, the coin can also be used as a platform for posting new ICOs. Due to these facts the coin has also been accepted by some big companies like Microsoft, Intel, JP Morgan. Hence, the coin has a lot of potential.

If you compare Ethereum blockchain to any other newer generation blockchains like cardano, eos etc then Ethereum is way lower than this in terms of technology. Forget about transaction fees and time.

In my opinion, it can not happen to Ethereum because Ethereum has a very high difference compared to Bitcoin.

Ethereum may be able to see $ 1000 in the coming months. I think it should have seen these prices much longer ago. Bitcoin needs to rise a bit now.

I think ethereum is the present and the future. Its current price is very low and it seem like it can go down again, but I believe that it is one of the best altcoins which is very profitable.

Etherium try to under the 300usd two times and than etherium prices going 300usd. I think 300usd is rest price  and it will be going to more than 1000usd again. 7k is not possible nowadays but if the market will change, price will be more than 7k usd

Maybe if this ethereum could continue to shine this will rise higher with bitcoin. Although the problem of ethereum is the huge circulating supply that will need huge amount of money to push higher. I think in 5years from now we can see this to rise higher.

I think that the etherium in the near future will show an excellent price. Just need to wait a little.

Ethereum is not the future, and it is now certain that there will be only one bitcoin in the future. Perhaps the stellar coin is OK but not sure. I think Ethereum is overrated.

Bitcoin is currently still the most superior coin, while Ethereum occupies a position under Bitcoin.I think Ethereum will be the second coin after Bitcoin.I think ETH is still leading in altcoin and this is really good because it is where long term investment is, and now ICO projects use ETH platform, there is huge potential in the interim, this is co promising.

Ethereum is definitely not the future, he is just a tool, you have to know that tools are likely to be replaced. Currently only bitcoin is the future.

Various news for Ethereum. Block awards are likely to decrease. Trying to find something similar. Vitalik should make a clear statement. It's still one of the most robust projects on the market.

We cannot tell wether ethereum will be the future. But ethereum is very promising and it can be really the future. So lets wait and see if ethereum can really be our future.
