Title: Some advices and references for a newbie?
Post by: Plagger on November 23, 2017, 08:59:22 PM
Hi everyone! I'm trying to research and study as much I can, but i have problems in finding good books/articles/whatever that explain the principles of economics and trading, very important if u want to learn about coins in general. I searched in the forum but i didn't find anything like that (but a lot of other useful articles)...so can you help me? I would really appreciate a "newbie tutorial for economics/trading" if it exist :)

Try reading some materials on a website called babypips. I began there with my journey a few months back and it helps applies trading techniques. One thing to note is the website is for Forex but I think it applies to crypto.

I could recommend you the 'classic' for newbies, now reinvented:

The New Trading for a Living: Psychology, Discipline, Trading Tools and Systems, Risk Control, Trade Management (Wiley Trading)

https://www.amazon.com/New-Trading-Living-Psychology-Discipline/dp/1118443926/

Then you could continue with Babypips and https://bitcoin.org/en/ the FAQ section.

Be patient and trade only with money you can afford to lose.

Try searching basics about bitcoin, altcoins, trading and youll probably get some ideas there where you sharpen your knowledge about it. Trading is probably good  cause it is profitable although you need some money ready for trading. If your patient enough to wait for some knowledge try reading some threads and discussion to proccess all that slowly rather than quickly.

However, not many place you can find show information which deep down bitcoin. Moreover, it is depend on what you looking for when you come to bitcoin ? Trading, service or mining ?  All you can do is practice and make your own experiences because no one can show you detail and directly.

I would just take two key words from op's idea - principles of "economics and trading". Thus, I would just go down to it. Economics is about management or managing your finances and trading is about how to multiply your capital.

So, they are interwoven. You don't talk about one and leave the other out. In other words, whatever book or article you are going to study or internet that you would visit, do not forget the economics of your business.

To be honest, you dont need economics in cryptocurrency. Trading is the one you need to learn and there is a section regarding to trading. Anything you need to know about cryptocurrency is here in the channel already. You just need to explore, do some searches and take time to read.

I commend you because you are gaining knowledge first rather that earning. Most of the people are thinking of earning first rather that learning which is wrong.

-Dont put all your eggs in one basket
-Do all your research
-Don't follow advice blindly from others or go for "guaranteed money"
-Do practice risk and emotion management
-Don't fall prey to FOMO, have a gameplan and execute it
-Do tons of more research before making any moves, the markets are volatile and not forgiving.

Trading you can only really learn by doing. I recommend following https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/, especially the daily thread.

Other than that, you can only learn by doing. Start very small, say $100 maximum, and then test out strategies. Don't increase the amount you trade with till you are comfortable that you know what you are doing and have a good feel for the market.

If you want to trade  do not go directly on the trading site make a serious research about trading and be patient do not think of profit but be prepared first and if you want try to have a good conversation with an expert on trading be a member of their group and get an ideas on how to be a good trader then if you prepared now start trade at low money first. If you got profit then trade a higher amount until you can be wiser enough for that.

The best advice I got from pros when I joined is to watch and observe the trend. Once you get how the systen works, research how crypto got to become as it is today. That's how I understood how things work here...

For all newbies, it will be better for them to just observed first before making a move, and always be updated in any news about cryptocurrency, it is nice also to watch what are the strategies of the top earners so that they can get an Idea, and the most important reminder for them is don't make decisions immediately when you encounter a unnecessary movements of coin value, always have a critical thinking, because in order to grab a bunch of money you need to gained more experience and knowledge.

Let’s be honest, Bitcoin has a steep learning curve. It takes a newcomer about 3 months of reading just to get up to speed on bitcoin’s basics. And like anything new and revolutionary, Bitcoin doesn’t fit with established ways of doing things. Understandably, not everyone has the time, inclination or risk appetite to get deeply involved with Bitcoin. On the flipside, anyone who’s heard about Bitcoin knows that involvement with it can be immensely profitable. A glance at financial media over the past few years was enough to make anyone regret missing Bitcoin’s early days. There’s no question that Bitcoin made multi-millionaires of particularly lucky, daring or brilliant people. The possibility of such outsized returns makes Bitcoin attractive despite its learning curve particularly in an economy in which many other asset classes are struggling.

I watched many YouTube tutorials about crypto-currency trading. Everything they
said I seen here on forum already. People who makes this kind of tutorials are the ones
who got their experience here.
Watch random videos, read what is happening here, and most of all participate in
all sorts of trading with money you have, learn your way trough.
I would not recommend any sort of paying for any kind of tutorial! You will regret later
cause same things you could find here for free. Some people learn that too late, do not be
one of them.

One advice in case you are successful with bitcoin and you earn a few of them:
Don't tell the people how much coins you have. I think it's best to keep a low profile from the beginning. As soon as people start thinking you have money, some will try to get it!
And because bitcoin transactions are not reversible, your coins would be gone for good if those people are successful with their stealing attempt.

There is appropriate section for newbies in the forum. Just go at the Beginners section where in a lot of newbies like you was already start to gaining information about btc.  You can also do your own research thru google, youtube and other site that has an information that you needed.  Don't stop to research and have self study about it because here a lot of opportunities are waiting for you.

1.Use an exchange, not a broker
2.When you buy/sell via an exchange, try to use limit orders (try not to use market orders).
3.Figure out if you want to go long or short
4.If you are going long, consider dollar cost averaging.
5.Consider laddering your buys and sells.
6.If you take only one thing away, take away the advice to dollar cost average and ladder into and out of positions.
7.Aim to buy low, sell high; try not to buy high or sell low
8.Hold some coins, range trade some coins, keep money on hand for a dip, and set some high-ball and low-ball orders

based on what i observed since the merit system came they became strict upon giving merits. i think it depends also on the quality of our posts before they can give us one unless you had a friend or family here that could give you.

Ahhm, I recommend you to search deeply and read articles, news, books about bitcoin or crypto currencies. Maybe you can interview a miner of bitcoin to gain more knowledge and advice/tips from him/her. Anyone that has more and deep knowledge about crypto currencies. As a beginner, we want to know the things that we don't know, curiosity as they say. It is good, just search and search and read for me.

I used to be a newbie as well, and based on what I experienced it is more better if we will first watch and observe on how cryptocurrencies function, it is also good if we will gather ideas from people who are experts in crypto, but the best thing that I prefer to all newbies is that, joined them in many group discussion about cryto, in that way they can find people that can teach them and there question will easily answer.

First of all you have to be profit wise is everything you do. In order to ascend fast you have to be profit wise in everything, you have to know if a certain action will make you lose profit. In bitcoin investing, you have to know when to buy and to sell depends on the behavior of the value. When the price is low you should buy and hoard those cryptos into your hand and hold it till the price hike occur sell them all. It's just a never ending cycle of buying at low value and selling at high value. As of trading you might lose a little bit of profit depends on the trade but you have to be wise.

He made a thread however it's located in the local section of this forum and unless you understand Filipino, I don't it'll be much help to you. He also shared a trading view site that could help newbies and maybe it could be of some use to you. You can check it out here:

It's really weird , and i really think that you didn't search hard enough because there's really tons of informations whether here, on Youtube or on google generally . You basically can self teach yourself anything if you got a strong will just using the internet .
But you don't really need to learn economics in depth if your main activity will be in trading since these both things aren't really the same , you should of course know the basics of the economics to not feel like a fool whenever reading technical expressions , but what you really want is learning how to trade , and for this you got the trading section where you'll find more than you are looking for ! There are a lot of highly experienced members that contribute to the forum on a daily basis and from which you can learn everything you need to become a successful trader , just don't fall to FUD and posts not based on clear explanations and adapted strategies .
Good luck mate !

I do agree with you it is very famous currency now so each and every sire on google will give you fine information about bitcoin, bitcoin talk is the best place where you can know about the market condition about bitcoin, when is the time to invest and when it is time to sell, for me best time to invest is the low price, if you see in market bitcoin is being less in price buy your bitcoin and hold it, if you see it is increasing and selling price it at the level where you can easily earn huge profit then you can sell out, so the best thing for new user is to get knowledge to gain and patience to hold with your bitcoin.

I am sure if you start claiming your first coins then you can start learning how to make trades using any trading platforms like bittrex or poloniex.

Hi and welcome!

It's pretty hard to find trading guides that are directly related to bitcoin, I would suggest you to use investopedia in order to learn the basics of trading, and not the basics of trading crypto.

The main difference between regular trading to crypto trading is that most of the cryptocurrencies are trading at low volume and that's why most of them tend to be so volatility, but basically the graph analyze is being done at the same way like you were trading regular stocks.

You should start by learning methods like diversification to reduce risks with investments. One of the easiest methods to manage the investment risk is by diversifying your portfolio.  For instance, it is seen that majority of the new investors invest their entire savings in a single project. This practice increases the risk. For instance, suppose you found the stocks of a particular company good and you invest all your capital to buy the stocks of the company. This can create huge problems if the value of the stocks of the company comes down due to any reason.

I would just go down to it. Economics is about management or managing your finances and trading is about how to multiply your capital.

So, they are interwoven. You don't talk about one and leave the other out. In other words, whatever book or article you are going to study or internet that you would visit, do not forget the economics of your business.

The rest would be just reading posts, common sense and a heck of a lot of google searches. I don't know any websites to get materials for crypto currencies though.

Post by: LKing on May 15, 2018, 08:38:26 AM
1) only play with money you can afford to lose.

2) NEVER EVER make a buy or sell that is triggered by a feeling of 'not wanting to miss out on a sudden development'. also known as fomo: fear of missing out. Invariably, you will make bad decisions if you do.

3) never buy on a sudden upswing. Especially if you don't know why it's swinging up. You may be buying into a hype curve triggered by other people's fomo. When that happens, you'll lose big in the correction that follows. The one exception is if you see a spike and then also find a good reason. When segwit was finally locked in for bitcoin, all the uncertainty ended and the price shot up for a very good reason. Jumping on that train can be a good decision.

4) when you finally take a profit and sell, walk away. Don't keep looking at the price. If you do and you see it going beyond the sell price, you may be tempted to jump in again and take a bit more profit. Not only do you pay 2 extra transaction fees, but you will also risk buying into an overshoot which corrects 2 minutes later, and you lose the profits you realized 5 minutes earlier.

5) understand that by playing carefully and with consideration, you may actually miss an occasional coin suddenly increasing in price. that is not to be helped. However, it also means that you are not making a lot of blind gambles that will cost you a lot of money.

6) do some research, and only buy into projects for which you actually understand the purpose and which you believe may work in real life. a coin needs more than fanboys shills to be valuable long term.

7) be very carefull when buying during a time period when there is a lot of euphoria and all coins are going strong. If the entire market is going strong, all coins do well, even the shitty ones

8 ) learn to recognize pump and dump cycles and avoid them. the saying in poker is: if you don't know who the sucker is, it's you. don't be the sucker.

9) look at the long term prices and use baselines, triangles and fibonaci and try to think of what you think the correct value to buy is. with some basic effort you can figure it out and set the buy order and walk away.

10) Do NOT try to play the game of buying and selling dips. buy dips if you want to play that game, but don't sell with the idea of buying back shortly after to game the dip. this is a good recipe for disaster. If you were holding NEO 2 days ago when it was 0.0039 BTC and sold with the idea of buying back at 0.0033, you'd be cursing yourself badly now that it shot up to 0.0064

11) when buying, don't just look at the timeline, also look at the order book. If you see big sell walls that are not balanced by buy walls, it may be better to wait for the price to drop some more.

12) doing the things above takes time and consideration. you will miss out from time to time by waiting to long, but you will also not make catastrophic errors. Also long as your positions are string, you can continue to keep playing the game.

Find a project that you really believe it will rise in the long term. Check out the market cap, the project team, roadmap, current state of the development, and worth of the market they are trying to cover. What are the problems they are trying to solve, and who are the competitors. Doing proper research will make you feel more confident when holding. Check also if the coin has fixes total supply and what percentage of the total supply is in circulation to predict future inflation. You can find a lot of useful information about the coin on https://coinmarketcap.com/  (https://coinmarketcap.com/). If you click on your desired coin under tab/markets you can see list alt-exchanges where you can buy it. Another useful website is http://coinmarketcal.com/ where you can find dates of interest for various coins.

Most of the alt coins are trading on exchanges with altcoin ->BTC/ETH pairs. So first you need to obtain BTC or ETH. Coinbase is the most popular choice for that purpose but I would suggest you https://www.bitstamp.net (https://www.bitstamp.net) since they have lower fees (0.25% compared to 1.5%). Another option to lower down fees is to use GDAX from Coinbase. With GDAX, if you're "taking" an order (meaning filling an existing order in the order book), the fee is 0.25% for Bitcoin and 0.30% for Ethereum. However, maker fees (meaning placing a limit order on the order book that may or may not be filled) are 0. After you bought BTC you can transfer it into BTC wallet on alt exchanges and start trading. Some of the popular alt exchanges are Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex, etc. I prefer binance since they have the lowest fees (0.1% compared to 0.25%/0.2%). I also grew quite fond of their user interface. Check out advanced mode. You can use this referral link if you like https://www.binance.com/?ref=10196951 (https://www.binance.com/?ref=10196951) I would also recommend to use 2step verification for logging in.

Don't buy at all-time high if the price was rising too suddenly. I usually search for the dip for the coins that I believe in long term. Rule of thumb: all cryptos are pretty much influenced by BTC. When BTC rises suddenly most of them fall. When BTC falls down suddenly most of the cryptos fall. When BTC is stagnant or has a slow steady rise, alt coin flourish. And last, remember to take part of your profits when it's skyrocketing. Usually, there is a correction after sudden increase. Just holding, without taking the profit is still haunting me with my NEO (Antshares). It's always good to take profit to increase your stack. Have fun and good luck trading/investing!

2 - Study.
3 - Not enough, study more.
4 - Play with some small money which would not affect your personal finances in case of loss.
5 - Keep updated with all the news.
6 - Learn the very basics of blockchain, in case you are not an IT person.
7 - Get some basics of trading and finance.

many practices. stop reading theory excessively. better practice directly, with little capital. then learn the result. make a simple analysis. see price movement from time to time. note the candle and volume. this is much more fun. repeat again in the next transaction. compare with a theory that has been read. do not trade using feeling. this will make you poor. do not just be a follower in price movements. and most importantly "patient".

It is not very hard to know about bitcoin as now bitcoin is very famous and popular that easily one can get information about bitcoin, rise and fall happens it is very important for them to know that holding can give them profit and help them to overcome the fear of lose,. Never think about selling at panic  as at the time of dump new investors mostly lose hope and sell at panic which gives them lose at the end so one should be pertinent to hold for long time if want to enter the world of crypto, but after that it is full of profit.

If you are a high school student, there will be an economics subject that you will take, I dont know about other countries but this is commonly the same in some countries. There you could learn so many things that you can apply here.In trading, you could go to the bookstore, in my case I saw a column where the books are related to business and investment, there is also trading included there.I suggest you study first trading in general so that you can have more deep understanding when you start studying crypto trading.

Some early users had large amounts of bitcoin because they took the risk and invested time and resources on unproven technology, which at that time was rarely used and lacked sufficient security. Many early users spend large amounts of bitcoin several times before bitcoin becomes valuable, or buy in small quantities and do not benefit greatly. There is no guarantee that bitcoin prices will go up or down. This is very similar to investing in the early stages that may provide value as usefulness and popularity or even never become anything. Bitcoin is still at an early stage, and has been designed for long-term goals. It's hard to imagine how Bitcoin benefits the early users, because today's Bitcoin users could be early users in the future, or not.

Do not put money into crypto that you cannot afford to lose. This is gambling, no other way about it. Most of these projects will fail, and if you put all your investment into a single project, you will lose that money.

Do not day trade. Trying to catch waves daily may work in the short term, but will not give you long term gains. Research the companies and platforms, choose carefully where you want to invest, buy your coins, store them somewhere safe, and leave them alone. Even if the market tanks, like what happened the other day with South Korea, just leave it alone because this is just money that you can easily afford to lose.

Do not listen to the shills on the internet. Don't listen to CNBC, "experts" on Youtube, reddit posts claiming to have the new moon coin, or anything else. As previously stated, do your research, find companies with actual promising partnerships and a real product that solves a real problem, and invest with them.

Cash out your principal after you've made some modest gains. Playing with house money is the best way to play. Also, you may want to set up "mile markers". For example, if my portfolio gets to X amount, I will cash out Y amount and pay off a credit card. If it then gets to Z amount, I'll cash out another Y, and so on.

Simply have faith in yourself that you've made sound decisions and those decisions will pay off in the long run. No one knows where this will go, but I think it's going to be much larger than anything we can imagine.

Well, reading all the related posts is not possible for everyone, so it is better to post your own problem and get solutions for it. On the whole, some people are really supportive on the forum and they feel obliged to answer queries of newbies. These are the ones who are really doing something productive for the society and I appreciate their efforts because they are playing afar games. This platform is great gateway to bitcoin knowledge.

This community is good for information you looking for but if you want to learn more the principles of trading i suggest you to search to google about crypto seminars i see some advetisement in internet that some crypto enthusiasts gives people a free seminar if they are want to involve in crypto.
Yes, the forum may be good for information, but limiting yourself to this forum for information may just end up being a waste of time. For heaven sake, search engines are there and all the OP needs is just to type on the search engine what he wants to know exactly, and as long as he is not lazy to read as much as he can, he would come across several resources.

I started to learn that way and over time, I was able to limit myself to using investopedia.com and stocktrader.com as there are so many good resources, so the OP cannot tell me he could not find any. Just type 'learn how to trade' on Google and I believe that should do.

You can find some basic economics here: https://www.mruniversity.com
Or visit Khan acedemy. Good resource to start with.
Trading: I like youtube channel 212. It's good for a beginner.
Crypto: blockgeeks.com
They have a lot of guides amd they are easy and extensive.
Also check Investopedia if you don't understand any term. They are good at explaing things in very essy way.

Nice finds man, I really think that you do a lot of research to be able to find these sources. If only a lot of new comers in this industry were like you, I do not think that there would still be a lot of people that will get scammed or invest blindly/gamble in a losing bet. And the best thing about this is that you are willing to help others and share the sources that you worked hard to find. You have a good heart man. I'm sure op would be really happy when he sees this.
That’s true. People lose money due to the lack of knowledge and understanding. Anyone who understands bitcoin as well as the whole digital market well, he can become a millionaire within next decade. The problem is people just get attracted towards high peaks and out of excitement invest in here. They hear good things from others but do not dare to dig deep into the topic. Anyone who won’t be a rich person by 2020 should only blame himself.

Without much ado, you have been equiped by so many e books on line that can actually be useful. You can as well research for more depending on the situation you want to expatiate upon. Newbies Fundamentals is also useful as well as Meaning of abbreviations in Cryptocurrency.
As to Trading, experience is the best teacher, but ensure you start with meager capital after so much consultation and advises from the field's experts on the particular coin, where you should not bite more than what you can chew with the mindset of risk that may ensue due to the coins volatility.

Before learning about cryptocurrencies I think it should be a good idea that you learn about the general economy and investments as well, so it could be a good idea that you check the Investopedia website and learn as much as you can, one of the difficulties in learning about cryptocurrencies is that it is not easy to find all information that you want in a single place so you will need to look for it

For starters, trading is the best way to gain experience, and you can gain trading experience by investing a small amount of money.

The advantage of doing this is that you can't learn it in the article.

How on earth will what he is looking for be found on the forum? SMH ! There are so many resources online to get anything he wants and it does not necessarily have to be books and if it is all about books, there are list of books that I am sure must have been reviewed by some well learned fellows as well online and having the list should be able to guide the OP.

I feel as long as you know exactly what you are looking for and for the fact that this is a digital age where you can easily buy books on amazon or even get some freely online, it should not be that hard if you can do some research.

For newbie i advice them they should start their crypto currency journey with Bitcoin because it is most recommend and trusted among all. Newbie should start their Bitcoin earning with Bitcointalk signature campaign job. Which is easy and safest way for them. And it is regularly interval of income too. I suggest them not to try Bitcoin investment because their is a lot of risk in it. They should try cloud mining because it is easy way to make money from Bitcoin. I suggest newbie they should try ethereum and ripple after Bitcoin.  :)

I think you must have an enough idea about trading and investing first before head so that you would have enough knowledge about it. Experience would teach you more than what you read or watch in different articles and forums. You won't be able to learn if you won't try it. Just be eager and willing to adopt knowledge and wisdom about trading first.

first I will explain What is BITCOIN. BITCOIN is an electronic source made in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto. It also uses a peer-to-peer network without centralized storage or a single administrator where the US Treasury calls BITCOIN a decentralized currency. Unlike other currencies, BITCOIN does not rely on trusting major publishers. BITCOIN uses distributed and distributed databases to the P2P network nodes to transaction journals, and uses cryptography to provide basic functions, such as ensuring that BITCOIN-BITCOIN can only be enjoyed by smart people, and never done more than once.

my advice. You should read back on this forum. they will help a lot.

And never borrow the money to invest it further in the cryptocurrency. I also think that this video will be very helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omXPt53KIWc

I am awed and amazed by this massive tome, with its long and distinguished list of advisory board members (25) and even longer and more distinguished list of chapter authors (114). Do we need another 1,654-page summary of everything we need to know, but about which we might be afraid to ask? Yes, but with some qualifications.

One efficient way of doing this is to go to Investopedia and read from the basics of economics. From there, it will lead you to the latest news and articles and there are links for you to go to if the reading material gets a little bit more complicated and you need some other references on a terminology.

This is what I am doing at the moment actually. Just doing my own research and trying to understand Bitcoin comprehensively.

The instruction is very easy, invest a huge amount when the market price is decreasing then sell your coins when the market's price is increasing and always learn to control your self when the market price is melting in order not to lose a huge amount of profit.

The amount of money invested in cryptocurrencies is still very low compared to any regular investment, so the economy was not affected by the world of cryptocurrencies however governments and banks have taken notice that something is happening in the world of cryptocurrencies and that they should be alert and that is why we are seeing so many attempts to regulate crypto.

Yes, that is the reason why OP is asking for help on articles and resources to make use of to be vast and what you have stated apparently does not help him in anyway.

I would advise the OP to ignore the forum and just hit the web straight on unless you just want to be gallivanting around and you will end up not getting anything tangible to help you at all. Type how to use trading indicators on Google, money management in trading and some little other stuff that can guide you. You can also check https://tradingstrategyguides.com as there is lots of information on their blog that can help as well.

It is better to watch it on youtube for a really reliable source. Because there are websites that are not credible to get information like wikipedia. Watching and listening will make it better for you to learn.

from youtube many news sources you need, and you type in the key word, but it would be better if you learn directly against people who are already senior, i think will be more clear

Try to tame and master only one art, dont skip any pages of it. And start with the amount that you can afford to lose not exceed your ability.

Yes, it is not good to stary with a big amount, at first you should invest not too much money, because you are a beginner and your knowledge about cryprocurrency is not too big. Read all topic, that you don't understand and I think it will be good.

Being a newbie there are lots of things to do when it comes to crypto currency. As a newbie, you need to learn more about crypto currencies and how they work. We need to make thorough research and be very wise in filling certain forms and taking part in some perculiar bounties. Always look at the team members involved in every project you want to partake in. Moreover make relevant post on any aspect of the forum you find yourself. Read instructions before starting any project.

Dear Newbie, be glad that you're one of the very few people on earth that knows about the amazing opportunity in cryptocurrencies, actually less than 1%. The most important lesson I would love you to learn is never to FOMO. Unfortunately, I learnt that from experience, I lost 50% of my portfolio to FOMO and by the way, FOMO means fear of missing out.

I read books on economics for a couple of months - I had porridge of information, with which I do not know what to do. It is not surprising, because students of economic universities spend several years studying the economy. It seems to me, it is better for a beginner to start with a small part, for example, the very foundations of trading and practice with small amounts. There will be questions - to look for answers, replenishing knowledge.

My suggestions to all newbies is to earch an information about the trade today and also to search about bitcoins so they will have an extra knowledge for this kind of economy .

Try reading some materials on a website called babypips. I began there with my journey a few months back and it helps applies trading techniques. One thing to note is the website is for Forex but I think it applies to crypto.
I suggest them they should update themselves about crypto currency from various websites, you tube channels etc. They should start their crypto currency earing from signature campaign job because this kind of job is simple and trusted way to earn money through Bitcoin . They should try different Bitcoin related micro job to earn some bitcoin. For newbie i suggest them not to try Bitcoin investment because bitcoin is a highly volatile currency and their is a lot of chance they should loose there money.

There are numerous piece of advice I may want to give to newbies but I will stress on few. Newbies are always advised to like more of reading. They should read thoroughly on any article or piece of writing they see about crypto currency. Newbies are also advised to participate in bounties they can or legible to.Always read instructions on bounties and airdrops they want to participate and should be a little secretive. They are also encouraged to search for more articles on crypto currencies and read about them.

I am investing in ICO. Among the variety of existing ICOs, there are a lot of frauds! Very few of the them have qualitatively created processes. That is why when I was looking for reliable ICO for fresh specialists, I found Kelvin-blockchain. Multiple blockchains with different consensus algorithms, token types, and assignments will be available. The multichain technology allows creating almost an unlimited potential for speed and productivity. Kelvin Blockchain can launch up to 2^64 subchains - more available subchains will benefit in increased speed and security. And I really like that they created a cool chat in Telegram that contains a lot of useful info. However, do not take everything for granted - you always should check everything by yourself :)

For a newbie it might be difficult to understand the concepts and logic of bitcoin.Today technology is changing so fast.New advancements are there so for a newbie it might be tough.A newbie first try to get full infomation of the thing in which he want to invest.Try to get more and more awareness and only then invest.Don't invest your full amount .Try to save some of the money.A newbie must know that all the investments are risky and he should be prepared enough to handle a loss in extreme conditions.Try to know the experience of other people specially the ones who are investing in bitcoin from many years because you will come to know  about many new things from their experience.

Start reading "Beginners and help thread" and follow the rules here.  Dont share to anyone your private key for wallet and dont install or download any malicious app to avoid scammers.
I am not very sure some of you always get to read the OP before you even reply to a thread. He would not find principle of economics and trading obviously on this forum as a result of shit posters like you.

It is a digital world, and if the OP needs anything, Google search is the best option, and all you have to do is use the keywords you are searching for and that is it. Investopedia is a very good site that can help a lot regarding some pretty good articles to make use of to start trading and some economic aspects as well.

It's never too late or to early to develop good study habits. The sooner you get into a study groove, the easier everything will be and the more your chances on getting goodmarks will improve, one thing I've learn the most giving enough time to study, if you study even one page a day you'll be continually reviewing thing in your mind. Don't take it faster just take it slowly to be deep rooted in your mind.

I think you should of course know the basics of economics in order not to feel stupid when reading technical expressions, but what you really want is to learn how to trade, and for this you get a trading section where you will find more than you are looking for ! There are many very experienced members who contribute to the forum on a daily basis and from where you can learn everything you need to become a successful trader, do not fall into the FUD and post not based on clear explanations and customized strategies.
This is really weird, and I really think that you are not looking hard enough because there really is a lot of information whether here, on Youtube or on google in general. You can basically teach yourself anything if you have a strong will just by using the internet.
But you do not really need to study economics in depth if your main activity will be in trading because these two things are not exactly the same

Advices would be read and read understand.  Try to figure out how things are going to work. Bitcoin is very friendly and risky at the same time. You will earn but in exchange you need to be more patient and do everything what it takes to make some posible things that are necessary to be successful in bitcoin.

It would always be nice for a newbie to start doing this by reading and learning first before joining into bounties. Besides it is hard now to earn merit if you are already involve in a campaign, it is good for him to go through merit section on how to earn merit so he may be careful in doing or commenting but commenting it fruitfully to earn merit. Also check the newbie sections and what are ranks to achieve. Plus knowing rules and regulations is a must.

GOOGLE, I think that's the simplest and easiest way for beginners - if you do not know anything about this crypto currency market, you can search on google, almost everything is on it. Or at this forum (bitcointalk.org) you can search a lot of documents. If you want to go faster and understand more about this market, you should find a mentor or a friend with enough experience, they will help you better.

As a newbie, do not invest all your money into one single coin. Instead, divide your capital and invest into potential coins which will earn you good amount of profit in the future. This will decrease the chances of risk and investing in just pump and dump coins. Observe the statistics of the coins and try investing in coins with successful projects behind them. Also, invest in those coins which have a big market capital and are widely accepted in the financial market.

If you want to know about trading cryptocurrencies try to do some research and try to get involve in a group chat of traders in social media there you can know more about how to trade wisely and on how to be a good trader. Trading is very profitable since it will give you huge returns but it is not easy to be a good traders you can first experience some trouble and lose of money so maybe you have to make a study first.

As a newbie learn first the basics of what you like to do because there's a lot of ways to earn here in crypto currency and one might be good for you and the other one might be bad based on your personality. If you want to try investing then go and make some research about it, there's a lot of threads here that can help you with that. And if you want to try your trading skills then do the research again and have some plan and strategies so that you will succeed here.

i think because there is no regulation from many governments, the price of cryptocurrency, purely controlled by number of supply and number of demand, so the news is very influential on its development, therefore we must follow the latest news about it

There is not such a thing because those are very deep subjects and it is almost impossible to include everything that could be necessary even to have some basic understanding of the economy and trading in a single article or even a book, read books about trading in general, you do not need books specialized in bitcoin since the same techniques apply and the same is true for the economy since bitcoin is still subject to the same principles as the rest of the economy.

It is not difficult. You just need to find out through the social channels through a few turns and then find the document speed. Learn what it has to offer, when it comes to what we need to do. The important thing is that your finances should consider your finances before joining in order to avoid the unsuccessful failures.

Try searching basics about bitcoin, altcoins, trading and youll probably get some ideas there where you sharpen your knowledge about it. Trading is probably good  cause it is profitable although you need some money ready for trading. If your patient enough to wait for some knowledge try reading some threads and discussion to proccess all that slowly rather than quickly.
i agree, They have plenty of tutorial for beginners to get a chance of getting a idea what bitcoin wallet are going. For all beginners just read all the forum they have in this bitcoin talk.  Be patient to read all about what first to do about bitcoin wallet for the investment such as this year.

Yeah crypto currency has some features which can be use to earn better profit and more income for us. I think new users should try to learn more before they invest as if they will have good knowledge so it will make them able to invest on right time and sell on perfect time at the same time it will be good for them to join campaign as bitcoin has campaigns which is source of earning and learning both, I think new investors should join must.

That is a very good way of tackling crypto currency. Reading up before investing is a good way to reduce risks in your investments.

Besides, I don't think that we will see an overwhelming amount of literature in matket about Crypto currency being that no country endorses it.

Your best option is to read some books completely dedicated to that topic, the topics of economics and trading are very deep and cannot really be fully explained in a small tutorial, it is better for you that you begin to read almost everything that you can find about it, it is true that you have all the time in the world because the markets are always going to be here and you could always get profits out of them but I do not know how long the low prices that we are seeing will last and you could miss a chance to make profits.

If you want to earn cryptocurrency and you are a newbie then the best thing to do is work on bounty campaigns in order to get reward that you can use to start trading in the market.
It is really a very good way for newbie if they join bounty campaign and get reward when they done their task, so yes they need to start trading with these coin and i know if they buy and sell some coin two or three times then there is no doubt that they learn the basic techniques of trading that when to buy and when to sell.

All of us are starting to participate in a bounty campaign, from it you can read some share knowledge of other senior members in the community then by it, it can add some knowledge and you can explore the world of cryptocurrency.

What matters most for newbies in crypto is to learn the concept and how the crypto market works before investing. It has come to notice that most of the panic selling which further deteriorate the market condition is as a result of lack of knowledge in cryptocurrency which leads lot of new investors to invest blindly.
Fundamental lessons like HODLing, patience, avoiding FUD and panic selling, studying of a project before joining its investment etc are necessary for all newbie investors.

Hi newbie. If you are going to wander in this forum, you will be able to see a thread that pertain to trading in general. There you can see some trading practices, what to do and what not to do. But it is separate if you are looking for economics and trading per se. hope this link will help

if I were to give an advice regarding trading, it is to buy low and sell high this is the mantra of the cryptocommunity when it comes to trading. Personally, I would recommend to not get yourself involved in trading in this time as trading is not feasible.

For me the down fall of most Newbies come as a result of greed, they have been told pleasant stories of how someone invested $100 into BTC and now sit on forture, and because of this they want to try their hands on anything that promise great returns, like online mining, HYPs, money doudler apps, scam ICOs and end up lossing all they have. It's very important that newbies should realize the real deal of cryptocurrency, study the market, learn from influencers, and focus to learn. Doing research, reading related articles, watching related videos are some of the tips and actions to take inorder to broaden knowledge, skills and experience. You must not follow all of the things that you've seen on the internet. The internet may provide you a wrong direction or instruction since there are a lot of scammers and hackers lingering around. If you really want to know more about investing and crypto currencies, it is better if you can get a mentor that you know you can learn to or maybe you can buy books that is written by popular investors. Books are more reliable source of information than the internet.

There are so many basic principles that must be known before you become a trader, you just surf on Google and he will provide a lot of help for you, starting from looking for exchanges that fit your criteria.

If you want to succeed, be ready to spend at least 6 hours per a day for learning everything about the cryptocurrencies, and sure, do not forget about practice. Invest the minimum in alts, and start trading.

Since you are a newbie you better read some articles about bitcoin and study the market very well and patience is the key to be succesful.
And then you will see most of the articles are saying that cryptocurrencies are dying and bear is taking over for long time and they say "THIS IS THE WORST YEAR FOR CRYPTO and shit". Sometimes you can't believe on some articles, because they are relatively easy to change the fact.

As a newbie you would be doing yourself a great disservice putting your whole capital on one coin.
Following the crowd and fomoing.
You should shun greediness also because it has been proven that greediness is the major factor that is causing more people in Cryptocurrency business to get poorer.

I would invest or handle very little amounts of crypto in the beginning. If you are sending a new cryptocurrency you didn't use yet, it's very important to do it like this because if something goes wrong, the damage is not really huge.
If you send large amounts and make a mistake, it's very upsetting.

Well, I guess you have to search more. No one is going to waste his time to explain you how everything works, unless he doesn’t have anything else to do and had a good heart but rarely you will find that. You either search for different articles on the internet wich explains you the basics of trading and economics, either find a mentor who can teach you everything and help you with any problems that may occur. There is the last option, you can start using demo platforms and trade there and after some time I'm sure you will understand a little after how it works. I mean, that's the only way you are really going to understand anything, if you try it by yourself.

The only advice I can tell you is that you shouldn't fall for the people in the forum or even your friends or strangers that are saying that Bitcoin is about to die when it is even far away from dying, newbies are the most victims here, because they don't have the appropriate knowledge to know if it is true or just simply opinions by other members in the forum, I'm not saying that all newbies and jr. members are like this, but mostly of the victims are newbies, so please do not fall off easily or get fooled by these haters, goodluck!  :D

they usually only want to pursue profits like their friends who are already successful, but the danger is that they do not take into account the risks that must be borne, so many investors regret it finally. of course knowledge will be better to learn first, so we can think realistically nd be more alert

That is something that people should do anyway, is not weird to browse the forum and see people that send their coins that were in their ethereum wallet to ethereum classic and if you make a mistake like that it is very likely that you are going to lose your coins and you will never recover them, so people need to always double check their transactions before they execute them because as we know there are no second chances with cryptocurrencies.

But it is better if you can analyze them yourself.

These days, you should not always follow what you can see and what you can read on the internet. Some might be a reliable source but not all of them are reliable and actually not that trustworthy. Study things about investing and how people should manage a new cryptocurrency, that way you will be able to tell how they manage a project or an ICO and tell whether they are just scamming people.

sometimes that strategy could work.coins that hit higher price not always risky, maybe this coins have good fundamental so traders start buying this coins and make new high continouesly.and vice versa with that, dump price didnt always provide us good opportunity.maybe this coins start dying.

Books can give you insight about the best course of action but they are not going to replace experience, it seems that some people believe they can learn how to trade by just watching a few youtube videos, they do not realize how hard it is to become profitable so before you begin to trade with an amount of money that is meaningful to you it is better to practice a little bit so you avoid those issues, I talk from experience since I have made some really dumb mistakes that after some time I wonder what I was thinking.

What exactly do you want to study? Is it about Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) or how to do trading? First you need to know that you can’t trade it if you don’t know about it. So if you don’t know about it then I will advise you to read about it before talking about trading. If you want to learn everything about Cryptocurrency you can start from Cointelegraph.com. There are also other sites you can learn from. After that you can talk of trading.

You will find it difficult if you learn from books or articles. you better just follow all the threads needed in this forum. because the discussion in this forum is more useful, because it is always updated about the latest crypto news.

Its true, not many books about cryptocurrency as investment. This forum is very useful because contain many information about new ICOs and about the project. Beside that, many thread about how to make a good trade and choosing a good coin to invest
There are so many projects that can provide you good useful information about those ICO. Now a day it’s not a big deal to learn about crypto as it’s the most famous investment for them and New users should learn trading, investing and those miner things which make thing right and wrong in crypto investment. Just buy red and sell green it’s my suggestion for New investor.

When I was a newbie, I tried reading off from Trading thread in this forum. It helped a lot especially tips from long time traders and some hints and advices to follow like different patterns that you an see in a graph. With this deciding when to sell or buy will be much easier.
As newbie or even expert we have to read from any knowledge source so our skill upgraded as suitable with current situation.

Newbies should always be confident to their selves for them to decide what is good or not. Increasing their own knowledge is their first task for them to able to manage the risks that they are taking.

I got many information about cryptocurrencies here in the forum. You still finding a way where you can get many information. My advice for you is you should read and read different articles and posts in this forum and it can help you to become knowledgeable person. You can also become a good trader by following the advices of professional traders.
one of the complicated problems for newbie is they are lazy to read, impatient, too affected by speculation, easy to panic and so on. you have to start reading often, many useful articles here. start to not believe easily by speculation, and believe in yourself

My advice is a little, for newbies or seniors, of course we have to study the market continuously. because the market is a teacher and we must always learn to him, for that self-confidence is important, but do not over-confident

Advice is the crypto market is a volatile market newbie investor should understand the fundamental development coins and start holding until the coin reaches the target
If someone is trying to learn how to trade the market of cryptocurrencies will not be my first choice, it may seem this is the perfect market thanks to the volatility that can move the prices very rapidly but when you are starting out it is better to pick slower markets that give you some room to think about what you are going to do next and what trade you will do.

There are a lot of them but it is better to do your own research.

A lot of sites, books, forums and news are talking about Bitcoin in the past especially when it hit the ATH. But you know what they say, don't trust that much the internet so it is better to stick with books or other people that know about it. Videos or documentaries are also posted and being streamed online so there are a lot of things you can learn from. For now, stick with this forum before you find another one.

White paper is only for specific coin or project, what he is referring is about on the principle of trading in general.
I don't think it's hard to find that in the internet, crypto is now popular and lot of people sharing books on how to trade effectively and the good thing is you do not have to pay for it, it's all free, it's now all depend on how resourceful you are.

Alright, you can actually try to check this site if you want to learn the basics of trading.
From the technical analysis to a prediction of the market and how to read statistics on the market.

Here is the site: https://www.babypips.com/

Babypips will allow you to learn forex trading and to learn how to read charts for free.
I would love to advise you as well to study from the videos on youtube because of that is the easiest way to learn because of the comprehensive videos about digital currencies there.

There are few videos on youtube.com and other educational sites about economics. I think videos could create shortcuts to learning the whole book since we only have to listen and understand the ideas. Sometimes our interpretation of the thing we read could lead to so much confusion and wrong thoughts could have probably lead you to some more vague ideas. So it is best to scan videos on the internet then go back to books for more information. The references and the basic ideas presented will help you more in really reading the book accurately. By the way if you really need books, try typing "intro to economics" just add pdf or ppt extension for searching("intro economics .pdf" or intro to economics.ppt"), there you will read more basic ideas and then advance to more deep topics on economics by typing "advanced economics" on your search bar with the same extension as well.

Couple of simple things which can help everybody. Firstly understand the market and the coin and do not just invest based on somebody else recommendation. Invest only extra money which you can take the risk of losing just in case market crashed after you buying the coin. Also do hold it and have patience as it will recover in the long term if it is genuine coin.

However, not many place you can find show information which deep down bitcoin. Moreover, it is depend on what you looking for when you come to bitcoin ? Trading, service or mining ?  All you can do is practice and make your own experiences because no one can show you detail and directly.

This forum can teach anything about cryptocurrency or blockchain. If we want to learn about trading, i think many website provide information about technical skill and some website dedicated for coding education or programing.

Well, the world of crypto currencies are not really that easy. A lot of people already know that Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are volatile, that is one of the reasons that it is really risky and it is not really that easy. I recommend that before engaging into investing, visit sites or forums like this one in order to gain some knowledge about it. Always remember that you are risking your money if you are investing and if you are really determined to invest, you can do it as long as you have the knowledge to do so.

advice for beginners do not invest now, if the investment novice now will definitely experience losses, wait for the price of the coin to rise if you want to invest, it's a suggestion for all beginners who want to trade in the trading market
If they came here for the right reasons I do not see why a beginner could not invest now when everything is in his favour, the price is not moving as much as in the past and there is a very low chance the price can get any lower, so if they are really convinced about their decision to invest in this market this could be the opportunity they have been waiting.
That's a wrong suggestion in my opinion, how could you require someone to buy only when the price goes up? what if after they buy, but then the price falls? I think buying opportunities don't only come when prices go up? in fact the opportunity also comes when cheap prices and falls
Indeed it’s not fair to buy at high price if we will buy at high price it will not be a profitable way to invest as profit begets only if you buy something cheaper and sell it on high rates so new users gets attracts to high price coins which is not good though, for every investor there is sometime call RED MARKET, means lowest price so buy RED and sell GREEN only.

Just study and research well in this forum all you need to know about trading is here, but based on my own experience you really cannot learn it if you will not the one to do the trading. Just start will small amount because at the beginning you will lose some of your investment until you fully learn how it works.
that's true dude,we have to try all work in cryptocurrency such as trading , work on bounty campaign or even mining.so we will understand how this market work.if have no much money to start mining , we could try cloud mining.
by trying various jobs in cryptocurrency, of course we will be able to choose which work is suitable for us. but indeed if you can do everything as you mentioned, then we have the opportunity to get more income. but indeed for all that requires a lot of time, so we must be able to divide time well, so that it requires high discipline
finding your suitable job is the most important thing for a newbie to get 100% satisfaction and income in your field if you find your own way then there life of yourself is very good as a cryptocurrency user then doing some research will also be very painful for you to increase your knowledge about cryptocurrency field.

I know its a bit too odd to say that there are some youtube videos about certain topics like this. But I find them helpful to be honest but I'm not letting myself to be influenced by those youtubers that has their own intention to shill coins.

You may not notice most of them were paid to shill but try to find a better and honest one, there's still few of them.

price rising sometimes just bull trap.it will attract trader buying bitcoin or altcoin.we have to find several confirmation both on fundamental and technical.dont just take decision based on price only.we have to be smart investors and trader if we want to avoid big losses in our trades.
Of course, indicators and aspects of research are not only at prices. because price changes can be deceptive to you. you should to have other instruments to analyze. look around, news and issues that occur, of course it's very important to do before buying

in investing in crypto currencies it takes confidence and patience, therefore before starting crypto currencies you should understand with all the risks and of course you will be investors who do not panic and fear the current conditions are very bad

Forum has a section for newbie and you can find many good thing on it. For detail, you can research more about bitcoin via google and some audit website about bitcoin as bitcoin.org.

The forum is a great place to learn about cryptocurrencies and everything that is related to it, but when it comes to trading even if you can find good information about the subject here it is better to try to look for websites that are dedicated to trading since in those websites you will learn information that is critical if you want to make profits in this market.

And reading about some references here is not enough to make sure that you can get a better idea that's why you should check some articles in different websites to improve your knowledge about Cryptocurrency.

You need to study the concept and flow of economics on books first. Economy of a country always change so better to study how it works. After that, read a lot of newspapers probably on business section where you can get real updates about the growth of economy in your country. Trading is really hard. Better for you to find a menthor first, if none, try experimenting on some good coins first. Invest on something you can affors to lose. No person becomes master on first day though.

Of course there are less articles regarding coins in cryptocurrency. It is due to the maturity of he trend where in it just started for about a decade ago. Also economics does not totally include crypto as the main subject to make an article.

Actually, in my opinion, references for beginners to learn about economic and trade principles are many. Learn from many best seller books because that will add to your knowledge. And there are many articles that explain it. But in my opinion the best reference for beginners is in this forum. That's because in this forum there are many professional traders who have understood and conducted trade for a long time, and many also understand a lot about economic principles. If you want to search deeper you will definitely find many posts here that can help you. I can also understand a number of trade sciences here from a number of people who are already professionals, there is a lot of information that we can filter. What is clear is that if you want to learn you must be diligent in reading whether it's articles, posts, or books.

Because learning is our tools for us to become successful in the end, and so that we won't be a victim by the scammer or hacker here.
And my tips is be observant for the traders who do trade in the actual market market platform of how they act when the price is moving.

I will just advise you not to be like other newbies. Majority of them I see here are fond of acting like they don’t even have senses at all (sorry to say that, but it’s true). The way they talk about bull run pisses me out a lot. They buy out of FOMO, they don’t even do their research and they just jump in just because someone told them they can make free money from crypto. There is nothing like free money here, you will have to work hard for it, if you don’t, you end up with loss.

Whether it is newbie or a long term user, always a good learning and better understanding about the market will let one to be on the safer side unlike the market fluctuation and price of bitcoin. Majority of the users have a thinking of getting rich investing without knowing the risks. The same gives an end point for their cryptocurrency related activities.

Good point, I think that's a very big problem of all Lambo/Moon investors. They are too greedy and fall for every scam like fake ICOs or they hope to make good returns in a pump and dump group. An attitude of getting rich overnight is never successful and will always result in a loss of money.

Agree, newbie should start from the basic and related bitcoin and crypto via google, many posts on google provide very complete information for newbie, newbie's mission is only to search and select the necessary information and in accordance with their purpose. Also, instead of searching on youtube, I think we should search for someone who has the knowledge and experience, they will bring us many better answers, youtube can't solve all questions.

Basically we lean about trading time to time and our experience wise we make profit. I don't think in first time we make big profit in trading, and trading is not easy as we think about it.

Basically we lean about trading time to time and our experience wise we make profit. I don't think in first time we make big profit in trading, and trading is not easy as we think about it.
When you have the skills to manage your trading decision then you can get profits very sooner after you started crypto trading.People are in the frustration of doing trades but only when we have enough patience to read out the market condition our decision can be right.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to research and study as much I can, but i have problems in finding good books/articles/whatever that explain the principles of economics and trading, very important if u want to learn about coins in general. I think cultivating knowledge about crypto or financial markets is quite easy. Don't be too important to find the best book to read and get a great idea in investment. forget that.
You should buy books about the investment experiences of great investors and learn from their failures. Besides, read more financial books and it will show you that the financial world is great.
Many carefully read books will give you a great amount of knowledge to start investing.

If you really want to have some ideas and get some knowledge about bitcoin, the forum is the best area.Questions and answer can be found here. And the best thing here is, you can get actually many answers form questions that also came from the experience of other bitcoin users.
with a huge risk of investing in crypto currencies and novice investors must have confidence in investing in crypto currencies and in my opinion confidence can bring success
When I was a newbie, I didn’t know about the forum and I always go to Google to find out something new and also to help myself with research. I got to know about Bitcoin from a different forum, someone mentioned it while people were discussing methods of transactions.

I knew nothing about it, so I quickly researched about it and found it quite interesting. I started the investment myself without having to rely on anyone to tell me whether to buy it or not.

I learn when I just watch the market every day. I do not even trade, but simply by observing and drawing conclusions. I don't have time to read boring books.

Well reading books can give you more knowledge than just watching what is happening around you, because some people spreads fake announcements which can affect you, so better read some books and trust yourself while trading or investing, for new investor now is perfect time to join as price is not very high but future is really bright.

Reading a book is not enough to learn about the world of crypto investment, I would rather suggest you additional insight into investment by asking experts who have long experienced in the world of investment, especially crypto. don't be shy to ask because I'm sure the people here aren't stingy to share their experiences.

for me the book is indeed important but understanding a book is more difficult than we learn from experts. because people who have experience naturally know little about coin. so you need someone who can help you in that field

Books are often written in a very techy language and difficult to understand for newbies. Crypto basics are better explained with pracital examples how to do them and illustrate it with pictures. YouTube videos are also a good step to follow the instructions.

Reading others member post and notice how they reply to others. You can also surfing net and gain knowledge about this. Do post what you know about and don't post that you have no idea about that.

dont invest so much at the beginning. be sure that how much you want to invest in crypto market. and invest only 10 percent of this amount in the first a few month. invest the rest after you adapt.

at least with only 10% you use means you have 10 times the chance, and that's not bad for beginners. with time, of course your intelligence will increase and you can choose your own path

Increase of the price is all about our internal will so if we are interested in making more income we will have to invest more, I personally invest almost 100 percent in crypto currency because I don’t put doubt about crypto currency, I am sure if I am investing my money after holding with few years or months I will get profit for sure.
