Bitcoin is growing fast and everyday a lot of people takes interest in this. I too started the other day and I am very willing to invest my time here. With that said, with the drastic growth of bitcoin worldwide, how do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now? Thank you as always.

Surely, it will be bigger. Bitcoin is becoming more popular to people because of being profitable to its users and investors. Also, it is becoming legal to more countries which will allow more people to make use of Bitcoin and earn profit from it. 10 years would be enough for Bitcoin to be devwloped as a stronger currency than now.

Bitcoin grew so fast since 2011 if I am not mistaken just Imagine it after 10 years from now. It will get biggger for sure, a lot of people are getting interested in btc.

Seeing how bitcoin grow fast everyday and how it can easily caught people's interest, I could say that it will have a really bright future. As long as these people continually support btc, then it will surely be alive even after 10yra. But we still can't tell about that because we don't know what will happen sooner or later.

While Bitcoin is doing exceptionally well for now, projecting its performance 10 years ahead is just too far out. At least for the next couple of years, I see Bitcoin performing well as more businesses should adapt to the technology.

It is even hard to predict the situation on the cryptomarket in the next few years. I'm sure that ne next two yeas will determine the future of crypto economy. The problems around the cryptocurrencies are obvious and they already exist and need to be solved asap. Also most of the ICOs are slowly coming to their deadlines where they will have to show something (but most of them will probably fail, which may result a big dump). In a middle term the next few years gona show whether cryptocurrencies will get success or not.

10 yars from now those who invested today have become a prosperous new elite who control the world with coin wisdom and have taken over the central banks and can buy anything they want

I totally agree with you and couldn't have said it any better. In my own opinion, Bitcoin will perform well for at least the year 2018. The thing is, many things good or bad can happen within a single year.

If Bitcoin can overcome the large transaction fees it will certainly maintain an increase in value.  I dont see it rising like it has over the last few months but a slow steady rise over time would be more beneficial in the long run.

I believe that Bitcoin have the potential to reach the highest levels of success during the coming 10 years. It is currenctly the first used crypto currency around the world, and its price keep growing up, also its getting warm support from the community.

It Will obviously be much much higher than the current prices. So basically you might be asking this to probably invent in it. If you got alot of money then I would recommend you to go for it. Also you should buy some ALTs as well because they are comparatively cheap and would probably go up in future. So basically buy like thousands of those and most probably 1 token would cost like 100 by 10 years of even more so ez profit for you.

Not only will bitcoin have a grandiose reach but I think it will be incorporated into our every day lives and we will be able to tap and pay with bitcoin like we do with fiat. I don't know which currency will be more dominant but I think both will be around in 10 years and then the fight will be on to which one will survive the 10 years after that.

Bitcoin has many more follower and many development happen to bitcoin because many more people invest in bitcoin. If now have amount of money we can invest and for many times we have amount of profit :)

I think in the next 10 years, it would still be here. Price wise, it may go up tremendously or go down pretty hard down face first. I believe bitcoins are a very fragile thing, but something that is a testament to the innovation of humanity and a push for decentralization away from commercialism. However, the only thing driving bitcoin prices are demand for it, what it people all started cashing out then likely this will crash the price by a lot.

I do not see there being a bitcoin economy, cryptocurrencies in time will be much bigger than bitcoin alone, they will be a mainstay in the economy with the biggest ones rivaling some of the biggest corporations in the world.

With all the countries that want to make cash disappear and crypto money all seem obvious, but I am curious to see how a country can operate without cash.

That will recovered once the block size has been increased bro. Still the people who are all earning money very few per month will be not enough to bear the transaction fee. I see some of the people holds the earning for long time and then exchanging it for fiat.
In some years bitcoin will be widely used by all set of people so like USD bitcoin will be used in airport in all over the world.

of course it won't easy and takes long time too. but i am pretty confident with the bitcoin development recently that looks faster than what we expect , within ten years more than 30% people around the world ready to welcome the cashless era.

as bitcoin users i expect the best for bitcoin especially for the price but if there is more demand and more people to interest for bitcoin then i'm pretty sure bitcoin will still exist until that year but to taking over economic world i think that slighty impossible but there is possibility cryptocurrrencies will be new trend technology and more countries will adopt that

We can't predict for long term but for 2 to 3 years bit coin will be used as the medium of exchange of goods and services. In coming future btc will have the highest value of all currency. If I see it as 10 years from now than it can be the currency of some country as dollar.

I would not limit myself just looking for 10 years on bitcoin only but to the whole cryptocurrency economy.. So yes,, crypto will be a big player in developing one country economically and that is a huge statement,, I know.. But I do believe it will happen because even now at this price,, we can sense how it help individual investors financially and to see how it works out for the society,, high hopes is reachable..

I believe that 10 years from now, Bitcoin economy will be more stable than before. It will have more miners and investors and it will be legalized to every country. Though, I think its value will still be unstable but I’m pretty sure that it would contribute a lot to every countries economy. And I know that Bitcoin’s security will be safer and they will eliminate all the scammers by then. Maybe, bitcoin can be accepted as a currency too. Many things can happen 10 years from now. And I’m excited with all the changes that will happen 10 years from now.

The legalizing part, even I agree but I doubt the price stability. Bitcoin is a currency, a crypto currency. Even now its been used as a currency which can later be converted to respective fiats. I hope this converting will reduce as the user acceptance will rise, but still it won't be used as 100% legal tender in any respective country by removing the fiat.

It's all about survival as bitcoin has already survived for 9 years and now bitcoin is going under scanner from European Union and Asian countries due to its anonymity and if bitcoin can be bit more transparent and work with government of any country to establish a strong economy then other countries will be interested to work with bitcoin and adapt Bitcoin but the volatility is the only weak factor but that's the unique thing about bitcoin

It is indeed growing at a fast rate but the problem is we don't know until.when will this rate continue. But surely, its market value after that long period of time would be more expensive than its price at this moment. Even if the rate of increase won't be as this high for the next years, that length of time will be a big help for its value to grow.

Bitcoin will be valued at $1,000,000 each within 10 years from now. I’m just not sure if this will be good for the Bitcoin community or the economy for that matter. As good as it seems for Bitcoin owners, this may even lead to chaos at some point. Not so good if you’d think of it.

I think bitcoin for now is growing faster what if after 10 years maybe it would spread out worldwide and the value is much higher on that time.The market value has more investors and basically the users of bitcoin. I think our economy our more stable in having an income and poverty is not the problem anymore of any country.

i foreseen 10 years from now that bitcoin will be legalize in all parts of the world and people can now use it in all establishments and atm machines whenever or wherever they can. bitcoin will also improve drastically and its known issues like scalability problems and higher transactions fee will be fixed and upgrade more to a better version. bitcoin can now then worked in an offline environment freely without the need or access to the internet.

i always agree when people say bitcoin will become stronger in future and 10 years is time for bitcoin to take a place.

I'm a little bit more measured when it comes to my predictions about the future, what I'm expecting of bitcoin at that point is to become a dominant force when it comes to payments online, I do not expect that people use bitcoin to buy groceries at that point but I do expect that people use bitcoin to buy things in ebay and amazon and all kind of Internet stores.

Probable are only two outcomes of what will happens with BTC and the overall economy that surrounds it in next 10 years.The first is that it will fully take one of the main roles in terms of online payment and also become very valuable asset.The other outcome is that will not exist at all,or it will become an insignificant thing in the sea of thousands cryptocoins.

I think Satoshi is say something like this in the beginning "I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume."

I still see bitcoin flourishing just like today. Bitcoin will never die and in 10 years we may see the price pick it up to levels like $50K. However, it will just remain as store of value. Trading will still be there, but not that much. Most people will just hoard bitcoin and will just cash it out on needed basis.

But there will be a lot of turbulence along the way, their will be a hard fought battle against government who dislike bitcoin. It will continue in the next 10 years that bitcoin will be really hard to own by then. That's why the price could go up like $50K-$100K or more. But again, bitcoin is unstoppable, no entity can stop it from pushing further in the future.

I think bitcoin will already familiar to the people. I see that bitcoin is still increasing and become popular 10 years from now in all countries. I think almost people are already invested and bitcoin is already accepted in any transport fares or even in all terms of payments. I think bitcoin already is more stable, and the price is high compared today. Bitcoin economy 10 years from now is much strongest and most profitable than to the other currency.

With that having said  I believe bitcoin will still be in the market and curculating in our economy. Many transactions will also be covered by bitcoi  as many users are recognizing it. Bitcoin economy 10 years from now is still uncertain. But if the scaling problem will be solved in due time it can be better on those years. I have a high expectation in bitcoin I can see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now with huge growth. With the more adoptation from the users and it is highly more recommended by that time. Bitcoin will be huge its value for sure 10 years from now.

It will be bigger because people are taking interest of it which is good. Bitcoin had a very fast growth and 10 years from now I think bitcoin will be a bigger and solid currency where no other currencies can defeat.

In recent years, the crypto currency has become more and more popular and spread. There are 600 billion dollars on the currency exchange. The greater part of which is bitcoin. The government fears that it can be a means of financing terrorism in the world market. The EU can create a database of crypto currency holders and access to purses .It

These types of threads are being created everyday, and the forum is getting more and more spam with the majority saying the same shit over and over again. There is a search feature in the the forum ,use that for your ease. The answer to your question in simple language is that you can't say, it can be a bright one, it cannot be a bright one. A single person's opinion is not going to affect adversely, events determine the future. Stop wasting your time on silly questions, concentrate on more important and better things.

I think 10 years are more than enough for bitcoin in a short time bitcoin achieved a lot of its goals and targets and in 10 years bitcoin will reached to a lot of countries which will be a very achievement for bitcoin because a lot of countries want to join bitcoin world realized that importance of bitcoin and if all they countries make bitcoin legal so there is possibility that bitcoin can end world poverty and can be international currency.

What tomorrow may bring is still unsure in the world of Bitcoin, what more in 10 years? Looking through how  things have developed over time, hopefully in 10 years things would be more progressive that it will allow Bitcoin to continually expand its horizons in terms of its reach to people. We the present users will get termed to be the elite through bitcoin. Maybe more countries similar to Japan will give importance to bitcoin as well the acceptance of altcoins will keep on increasing making each and every activity happening through bitcoin and related technologies.

In 10 years? 90% to be ~$0-100. 10% to rise to ~$150k. Most likely countries like USA will punish people using BTC and it will be pretty much worthless.

Yes I agree that bitcoin had experienced a drastic change this year due to more people had been aware and willing to invest and devote their time with it. 10years from now I am expecting and hoping that the community of bitcoin would greatly change the lives of people involve with it and become more powerful than it is today.

It could stand the test of time or it could die just like that. But the thing is bitcoins are a testament to what we could do even without a central authority. The problem is that the model of bitcoins is pretty much just driven by demand and supply, which causes great volatility especially when the buyers don't really want to use it but just want to buy for speculative purposes.

But you don't regard all problems that have bitcoin network? Community have a lot of problems that  must be solved. At least, transactions speed and mining cost(what will be in 2021-2025, when miners will use too many electricity)?

Actually, after many years I think that bitcoin will be more huge from this time and maybe the value will be stable (near of 30k) in the first duration, then after some years there will be a big evolution of the price (between 100k and 500K).
As well, in 2022 probably bitcoin will become 1 million dollars (crazy price). At that moment the bitcoin economy will be in the top.

Cant say about bitcoin economy,as it might get replace by some some improved cryptocurrency.but cryptocurrency economy will be huge and the cryptocurrency will be taken under capital gain asset by the government ,though they cant regulate it but it will be taxed to improve country economy.

And it sounds crazy, doesn't it? In some countries government doesn't make bitcoin legal or illegal, but want to get taxes from market. They don't want to take responsibility and regulate market... But how can they forget about taxes ?)

USA has the most Bitcoin users in this world so I think that will not happen, and even if bitcoin was banned to this country, they will be finding ways to sell or buy bitcoin to be saved and use in other way that they will not be punished. for me, looking at its current trend,it pumps up a small percentage as time goes by.There are minimal decline in its price but there are more increases.Ten years from now I think based on the present,it will continuously grow bigger. Maybe it will be accepted in most countries or maybe the exact opposite.It will be popular and many people will use it.Maybe 10 years from now it will reach a million or more than that in price.Maybe at that time we can maximize our usage of bitcoin in a way that we can use it in our daily living.

If things remain as now, I don't see bitcoin in 10 years. Compared to other cryptocurrencies bitcoin is significantly behind in development. He still has the largest market capitalization but increasing prices for the confirmation of transactions and the speed of confirm makes bitcoin very difficult to use as means of payment. Currency bitcoin may not be at all. Next year will be decisive in the fate of bitcoin. Without changes it will not survive.

The same in here, if they do not fix the fees that we need to pay for each transaction, the fees could be worth more than $1000 in just a few months from now (with the actual congestion)

As compared to last year now many had start to inverse in bitcoin and this may be the reason for this price raise.If you want to get more profit after 10 years,you need to get into now.Why because the price of bitcoin will reach 100k$ after 10 years,it's hard to inverse at that time.

In my opinion, 10 year is too far from now. It is hard to predict what will happen in bitcoin economy or in cryptocurrency world. but i hope bitcoin will last forever because it helps many people, like me. And i hope in that year bitcoin price is way too high that i can't imagine. also, I hope that bitcoin will change to a better technology and be more stable.

Obviously, its going to be a bigger one after 10 years because the way it 's being spread and the speed by which they are being popular is really good. And after few years many countries would make the bitcoin as legal for trading and saving purposes. Indian government has already started implementing taxes on many HNI bitcoin traders and it means they are really serious about bitcoin and it's trading.

Bitcoin is getting day after day bigger and bigger. Nothing can stop Bitcoin and in 10 years it will be very expensive.

If according to the current situation of cryptocurrency general and Bitcoin in particular then I believe that the next 10 years Bitcoin will grow strong, become the most popular currency in the world, and Bitcoin will not be banned by the government in all national, became the lawful currency of all transactions worldwide. It is highly likely that bitcoin will increase its value over 40-50 times over the next decade. We are currently in the expansive phase of development, where the number of new crypto currency, information and complexity in the sphere are growing at a huge pace.

I think that everything will be good, but if it keeps being the same for the next few years from now, bitcoin would be obsolote because of the giant fud that is receiving at the moment.

yes it is true .. from the beginning bitcoin until now its development is very remarkable, although not all layers of society know and use it. too far to predict the next ten years, because in the next five years bitcoin may already be acceptable to every level of society.

10 years from now, Bitcoin will be very big. Everyday the bitcoin is getting wide and it is increasing as the people are patronizing it. That is why there is no doubt that every single bitcoin will hit 2 million.

It seems to me very very stable as compared to what we are looking at today. The reason is simple, and its first fact is the circulation of the bitcoin will be reached to 100% by that time. There will be no more bitcoin to be mined so there will be only confirmation of the blocks which will make the fees stable, fixed and routine. The bitcoin will reach maxima of the investment and thus bitcoin will be actual currency really as there will no more fluctuation in that period. The market capitalism will not move much, it wont get down either because people will profit from it just by doing the exchanges with the alts or may be something different at that time. These kind of factors will make the economy of the bitcoin very very stable. :-)

If bitcoin team fully resolved issue with transaction delayed I personally think that the value will jumped really high after 10 years, a lots of possibility to happen in terms of its value and how the community will adopt the system, if more people will use it accordingly and not just an investment maybe it will grow perfectly after some years.

Of course USA have the most people that adopting bitcoin but it does not mean that if they gone, there will be nothing left on bitcoin. I will say no matter what, they will always find way to get those coin or if they want to dump it, people from others country will still take it for sure, no one want to let bitcoin price fall for sure. Ten years from now will be amazing if we talk about crypto currencies. I can already imagine how things will become someday after 10 years. I can see people talking about bitcoins and other crypto currencies on coffee shops bars, streets, etc. Increasing more and more. Also a lot of stores accepting cryptos as payments to bills and daily necessities. I really do wish what i imagine 10 years from now about the crypto world will really do happen after 10 years.

Actually in this field of cryptocurrency , specially the case of bitcoin , I am going totally in different way.
As we everyone knows that price of bitcoin increases 10× per year but in actual the price of bitcoin in the present time is much high and if the price of bitcoin get much high at next year then I don't think that it can multiply 10 times by its own current time price .
Because to grow from 1$ to 2$ is easy but to get change from 200$ to 2000$ is not a joke ( it have take just a example ) .
So here I am thinking that after 10 year may be the price of bitcoin will be 100000$ only ( this is my prediction  truth will go much upp than what I am thinking ) .
And also I am thinking that everyone will be able to make use of bitcoin at every shop eaisly , I Mena people will use bitcoin in practical life for buying small.priced items .

10 year from now , bitcoin will come to be legend and economy story of postmodern society, due to found ceation alternative coins with the fast-growing alghoritma and cryptocurrency will enter in the economic and technological curriculum, this is a best opportunity for the future.

The economy of bitcoin 10 years from now will be absolutely huge because of the fast growing of people interested to it, and maybe the 70% of population in the world will knew what is bitcoin and for sure the price/value of bitcoin will be much higher than we think.

I will see the bitcoin economy in 10 years is it will be bigger. Nowadays bitcoin is becoming popular to people of being profitable to its users and i think in 10 years it will be more trending to all countries. And 10 years from now it will be the best and stronger currency.

On my own perception the bitcoin economy 10 years from now would  be grow and maybe it would be 10 to 20 times as the peak value of this year. Base on my knowledge about bitcoin it could reach up to 21 million bitcoins in mining process and because of high demand for bitcoins and blockchain community the value of bitcoin will reached the highest peak which means bitcoins will be able to absorb all other currencies throughout the world and after every three years the level of difficulty on mining bitcoins increases so it might take a decades oreven century for bitcoins value to reach highest peak.

Bitcoin will more famous and bigger from now. The value of bitcoin will increase. Many people will know bitcoin and do invest in there.

No one really knows on what would happen on next 10 years but we can somehow assume that it would really be more successful because we are already witnessing on the things that have been accomplished as of now and we wont know if it would be majorly accepted worldwide which would even give more progress to it not only on bitcoin but also on some potential altcoins in the market.

The truth is no one can really know and looking back in recent years, one would absolutely be optimistic that in 10 years time, a lot would have really happened positively and would have changed from where we are now. I am still not going to discard that coming years may come with some wars from the government, but I do not see that stopping bitcoin anyway as long as it has become really useful for transaction and people have seen it more than it just being an asset.

I think like most replies in this thread. I share the positive idea that bitcoin would increase. It has all ingredients and characteristics to succeed namely a good value and price point, good marketability and usage rate amongst all cryptocurrency users, and a high potential of continued increase based on the recent price surge it showed where its price doubled in just two months. All those factors contribute to a better recognition from people and would surely amount to more investments and activities under its belt. If w look at the price today it is about 18500 dollars and in the next 10 years I am sure that its price will be more 100000 dollars because the investment ration is increasing day by day and the reason is high profit margins. I think 10 years from now bitcoin is still the number one cryto currency and it will continue to soar high. Many people will adopt it and continue to help people who are engage with it. Lives changes and become easier because they have good earnings and making more profit through trading and investing. Not many people makes use of Bitcoin in my country, I don’t even see people that makes use of it where I live, except the one person I introduced to it, but he’s not using it, cause he wasn’t able to earn anything from it. Good question. It feels like I'm on a job interview. What I can only tell is that the price of bitcoin will be much higher than what it is. Its getting more popular now but not a lot of people understand what it really is. By 2028, majority of the people will be educated about bitcoin. I hope for the same situation in my country. Though my government has not given any official statement regarding bitcoin yet but what I believe is that people are using it in my state. They are making good money from it. If Bitcoin survives that long, it will be widely accepted all around the world. Hopefully, it will give strong competition to the United States Dollar as the preferred currency for international trade. And more importantly, the price will increase so much that the exchange rates will be given in Satoshis and not in Bitcoins.

I am expecting that Bitcoin will be a big player in The E-Commerce industry and international payments settlement transactions in the next 10 years from now. However, when it comes to the microtransactions, I think we should work on the confirmation time and transaction fees to make it possible for the smaller amount transactions process faster nominal fees so that we can use it on in our day to day life. The only thing I’m expecting in the future is that the lightening network will be released. If it has been released, then I’m sorry cause that means that it is not yet active in the country where I live. I don’t know how it’s going to be, but I think instead of the two type transactions fees we have now, there will be only one fixed type of fees for every transaction. Apart from that, there is nothing else I’m expecting, maybe there will be a little improvement in the Blockchain or something and price might still go up.
