Recently ETH got huge price increase. Is there any specific reason for that much of Increase ? ???

Bitcoin is too expensive so investors have to put money somewhere...

This is not a crazy thing, the average old coin has improved remarkably, such as LTC, DASH, MONERO. And other giant coin coins like waves will soon follow, a very good thing in the world of crypto

be careful with this increasing because there will another down of the price so make sure that you only buy when the price is down. more investor come to buy ethereum after they have bitcoin because soon ethereum will increase and reach the highest price in 2018. they don't want to missed to have ethereum right now so they can sell it at the highest price. if you want, you can try to wait until there is a correction price for the ethereum so you can buy more ethereum at a low price.

ETH is a very useful coin. This growth is normal. On exmo ETH is 586$ now

Because of high exchange volume from BTC to ETH and ETH to BTC, thus will give a big impact for both whether BTC or ETH. Moreover, high exchange volume from other altcoins like LTC, Dash, XMR also gives a big impact for ETH price. This thing is not even crazy for me, its normal. ETH will keep rising and fall down as people having to buy and sell their ETH fastly.

I'm very aback i'm just see eth price only 5 minute age that was a only $477 but after 5 Minute later when i'm going to check aging and it was a amazing , i see this price only 5 minute distance and jump $477 to $530 so it is likely crazy.

Hey there.. My view and research on it is due to the fact ETH has a increase rate of 1000 times compared to BTC from all these years.. And more over it is stable.. So i believe future is Ethereum.

Yes, it is also enjoying its best year so far despite having the cryptokitties issues. Maybe there are really fresh blood coming into the market now and putting money not on bitcoin but altcoins as well like Ethereum and Litecoin. The positive vibes of bitcoin is like a domino effect, echoing in the altcoins market.

I think there's also this positive news that Swiss banking giant UBS are working with other firms to create platforms based on Ethereum smart contracts technology. That's why the price is going to the moon today.

Many are starting to be pissed off with the transactions through bitcoin so they are making some alternatives for it. Others are into bitcoin>DOGE>Bitcoin while others are into bitcoin>ETH>bitcoin, this makes the network to experience a traffic because there is a lot of people that are into cryptocurrencies already. ETH is now $600 and that's quick too the same with bitcoin, demand is the main reason why it is increasing and no other reasons behind that.

People are going crazy for bitcoin alternatives right now because they can't afford to pay high fees when moving their bitcoin out. Many people are buying alts for both to hold long term and to use for daily transactions as many merchants accepts ETH, XMR, LTC like alts along with bitcoin these days.

I believe Ethereum is a undervalued coin. Right now, it has been increasing for some time. We may see a big increase in its price in 2018.

I already expected the ETH price will increase, the price of ETH is really fall because of the bitcoin price increase. I don't think there is a specific reason why the eth price got a huge price increase today but ETH deserve it, no way the price of ETH can be under 0.03 and now the price of ETH is really huge back to 0.04.

I didnt think ETH could actually grow. Well it is the second most valuable cryptocurrency though im doubting it will rise that far a bitcoin does. Just my opinion though.

Eth is now a good option for long-term investors to have huge profit, so many stock investors start buying Eth and push the price up. Eth will bring more profit in the future.

I believed so. Being the second top coins it should be valued as closed to $2K by now. But it seems to be having a hard time even breaking 4 digits. But it has a big probability to get it there if this upward trend will keep on. We have never seen Ethereum being push like this and it seems it still has more leg room to reach $1k.

This is really a big news for Ethereum. This should have happened years back because this coin has more features to offer as compare to bitcoin. But it looks like a lot of companies now has seen what smart contracts and Dapps can really do if they implemented it. Price of bitcoin has been growing good. Most users who invested a month back could have gained good profit by now, because the price has grown much high than those days when it was staying around $350.

I think that this is the result of growing Bitcoin and whole cryptomarket. Not everyone can buy 1BTC for 15000-17000USD. And the second choice that remains is Ethereum. That’s why it growth so high.

In anticipation of such events it is not surprising that the price increases. I already wrote that now the price is not really growing. But once successfully run the Protocol CASPER full transition to POS and everything will work stable. We can easily see 1000 or more.

These days I often say ETH will go up significantly. This is a natural thing, maybe earlier this year ETH will exceed this. The reason is bitcoin would be great in 2018 i think that is the start for ethereum value. If you have extra bitcoin much better to buy ethereum and hold if for almost a year there are many changes in the value of coin in the market in the incoming year.

Ethereum is getting so much attention lately and that causes investors to put their money in it. All markets are goin crazy and people are trying to take advantage of this situation while it is on. People bought ethereum because ethereum is one of the most trustworthy coin and it did not fail the investors as expected. So ethereum will keep on gaining some more value till markets crash.

Yes the price actually is above 730$ and it is going up fastly. Yeah. It has reached $733.39 now. It had a good spike in two days. $250 has gone up in last 4 days. The reason for the spike would be the investors. As many investors invested in ETH, the value is growing up. I am sure ETH would reach $1K by end of December 2017.

In fact, the main news is the launch of futures in 2018 of ethereum and litecoin. That's why the price goes up. This is a completely different level of trust. And as we see in the example of bitcoin, futures are traded at 17,000 dollars. So a fall of at least a strong one can not be expected. If the story with etereum is repeated, then correction of the price for a decrease can not be expected.

The reason for this is that more and more people are downloading Coinbase and buying there. They se a coin that cost 17k and one that costs 700$ and the last one costs 300$. If you don't know the diffirence and just want to follow the boom lik the newspaper says then you choose the cheaper once. And hop for the moon.

There might be many reasons for the sudden rise of ETH.
Bitcoin has crossed $15k which has made it very expensive for some investors . Even though it is best to invest in bitcoin , the sudden hike in the price is forcing the investors to go towards some other altcoins . The increased transaction fees has also angered many users .
Bitcoin along with other altcoins are looking forward to their best times.

I guess itnis about time for eth to grow and reqch such value. Over the kast weeks, eth has been stable with low difference in value but now, as we can see, eth had grown significantly and one reason could be the increase in the number of investors. i always knew this was going to happen sooner or later. With bitcoin so high for entry level people buying in the first time they were always going to look at the next biggest coin in the crypto world next. People have been saying about the 1k mark for a long time but i actually think it is about to do a bitcoinCash rise on us shortly and end up 2.5-3k in value. I always have a few stray eth sitting around anyhow so works for me!

I agree, we all should buy etherium before the value goes up rapidly.  If the value of etherium goes down, then it is a great oportunity to buy one and hold it. There are 1 simple reason that my Eth price increase is nearly end of years, big investors start to push up the price to sell their ETH and make profit at the end of year.

If you look ETH/BTC  you will see that Ethereum has huge price surge from summer , maybe there is a reason why he finally wake up.

With hardfork for ETH in january 2018, ETH prices will continue to grow.

And there is already talk of futures for ETH since the BTC futures are being launched at this moment.

Really whole crypto market are now going crazy. That's because the cryptocurrency market is a fresh and green. The same was happening to a shares at the beginning: chaos and instability. And now the shares turned to be a super pro-oriented market where is no place for a new and unprepared people. So the same will happend to the whole cryptocurrency -- now it's chaotic but in nearest future will turn into the same pro-oriented sphere with analytics and companies who's making money on controlling it.

Yes, from December 11 to 14 ETH had a spike of $300 plus but today $100 came down. Still this is a good spike and growth we could observe after a long period. Many investors pitched into ETH in last three days and the value increased high. I am sure ETH should reach $1K by the end of December 2017.

Yeah ETH price is great right now, I am looking forward to see what happen next year, personally I really hope ethereum will pump like Bitcoin in 2018.  I believe Ethereum have better tech and developper than Bitcoin and they also have many partnership, you can check ethereum alliance members list. Last year, a lot of people expect Ethereum to reach 40usd for 2017 but it is 700usd now so maybe we can expect Ethereum to reach 10000usd next year

I don't think there is some special reason just bitcoin going flat and all  alts start rise as crazy in dollar equivalent.

Yes, alternate to Bitcoin is ETH I would say in trading. You could wait for value to come down if you plan for buying one.

I think that part of the large BTC investors, fearing that this asset is heavily overbought, decided to diversify their investment portfolios buying Ethereum.
In addition, the growth of ETH affects the increasing number of ICO projects based on Ethereum platform. After all, they need ETHs to develop their projects and ideas.

Maybe this makes me regret the decision that I did before because of the time that I'm having an urgent need to sell some of the eth with prices still declining, if I can keep that time maybe I will have more advantages because the current price value ETH craze makes a mad and suddenly rich at the end of this year.

I think the price of ethereum increased because the demand for it is also getting higher.  In the same way that bitcoin did years or even just months back.  With more people clamoring for
it, its value increases as well.  As a sought after atlcoin which has a relatively cheaper value than bitcoin but more worthy to be invested on compared with other crypto, the price foe ethereum will no doubt increase as well.  Also, because there are more campaigns now which pays using ETH, people have more access to it and has more means to use for trading which again, can help increase the value of ethereum.

I see a lot more adverts lately around ALTs than actual BTC, the profit gains on alts is just incredible. Look at ETH at the beginning of the year and it was only around $12. Now its at $600+.


This is attracting new comers to the scene and with these adverts it is making people think it is easy money. We all know it is not and the crash could be on us any day.

In my opinion, ethereum is the one with the greatest potential from all stock altcoins to reach incredible prices. Maybe not in the near future, but I think it can be a good competitor of bitcoin.

I think there is nothing special happening to ethereum at the moment. Crypto market generally went crazy and as result of these strong coins like bitcoin , ethereum or even bitcoin cash gained so much value. I'm not sure if this growth is sustainable. This will probably end soon and we will return to other side of circle and start all over again.

Ethereum was too undervalued for quite some time and atlast it exploded and showed its potential, however, according to me, a reason for the increase in price of ethereum is the the fork which happened, which gave rise to ETF(Ethereum Fog).

Not crazy yet my friend, with additional 200 b injected into the market i would say much of funds are pretty much diverse into hundreds of similar projects and Eth are just a part of it, the growth is high for days but it meet resistance, yet remained sustainable and other likewise have much more growth than ETH even though they are volatile. ETH is simply the solid platform and it deserve to grow into thousands, just too much competitors and there's noting much to play with ETH-related assets and move on haha.

There is a lot of big money and investment capital flowing into the cryptocurrency space and as derivatives, cmes and futures will be coming to play in a big way, these areas of fiscal activity need large liquidity cand capitalization. So mainly the big cryptos will be swallowed up now by financial institutions and corporate entities who will start hoarding these as a store of wealth. Pension plans will also eventually incorporate crypto assets into their funds. So ETH being as large as it is after Bitcoin is no doubt going to be a winner here in the price hike.  :)

I felt ETH rise was partly due to this actually, more people want to buy Bitcoin, but the new money sees more value in cheaper Eth. Winners all around, but Bitcoin paves the way, as usual.

I guess it is about time for eth to increase in value since over the last weeks, it hasn't increased. This could have been because of bitcoin's fork and growth in value. Eth may have been probably too affected by it. Now that eth had somehow stabilized and is back in track, it could be one reason why eth value had significantly increased.

What is hard fork in ethereum? I don't think a hard fork will happen in there. The only one I remember is simply ETC hard fork after that big hacking. It was a right decission at that time.

I don't understand why you have to buy 1 bitcoin. You can buy any part of it. Investment criterion is not the number of coins you buy. It is important how much you invest and what income percentage you have. First of all, such price increase of Ethereum is not a surprize. It was expected from Ethereum because of it's sophistication. Ethereum is very high profile cryptocurrency. I believe the price increase of Ethereum is due to Bitcoin's massive price increase. Indeed it is.  I did say in a previous post that i would be quite surprised if ETH doesn't reach $1K in the early part of 2018.   As it is the next best thing to Bitcoin it seems, at least for now.  In terms of the usage, smart contracts and all that,  ETH is actually more useful in my opinion.  But i think that the price going up this high, this soon has a lot to do with the increase in value of Bitcoin as well.

Eth price projected to rally if demand is high or some hype is going on. I believe Eth true price ranges from 1000$ - 1300$ it's my own perception and my opinion doesn't really matter, since eth nowadays is really more useful in terms of investment and other smart contract related project.

Yes the price of it is increasing at a higher speed and seeing this many traders are starting to trade with ethereum and also many investors moved their money to ethereum. yes, i do agree with you that eth price is insane, its price going crazy because the idea is the demand of eth is so high, so the price increase easily. but what i want to say is, it is normal and you guys very lucky if you have eth, because it is long term investmen.

Through I witnessed it to have a hard time in breaking through at $300 but now it keeps on increasing convincing me to invest to it, there is a high chance that it would show a growth like what bitcoin have shown us.

ETH is good alitcoin and Eth price is now $729 is big hit. It is most popular coin after bitcoin which great volume and great reputation and investors have made huge profits from it  and same will continue even in future.

But a lot of ICOs are now using Waves, Stellar.etc instead of Ethereum. I am not denying the fact that still there is a lot of demand for Ether. But it is under serious competition from the other altcoins.

I think because of most top exchanging platforms that uses eth as their basic currency since its value is second to bitcoin. Another reasson I see is because it is getting in demand as bitcoin's price goes up people will now try to divert their attentions on holding btc instead they will see eth as an opportunity, like a second chance for not investing early to cryptos like bitcoins.

I don't think that Ethereum price going crazy but it still undervalued. It's just because Bitcoin soaring to $18k that make Ethereum following rise.

It could be explained by the huge media attention what was given to BTC rise to 20k$ + . Thus new people wanted to join the crypto world but  since btc has so huge value they went for less expensive currencies as ETH an LTC and there we had a huge spike in both of these coins.

No, I don't think this is a crazy thing. The record price increase could be seen as a sign of ETH's recent growth. Rumors that prices are rising are due to the announcement by UBS Bank that they will implement a new blockchain idea, possibly ETH will be affected by this but not be too much. The process of price increase of ETH is not the dominant mutation that many other altcoin like Dash, Ripple also increased. This is a good sign of it, hopefully in the future ETH will become even stronger

the increase in ETH is caused due to the very limited supply of bitcoin to be invested, therefore, the ETH price increases to balance the statistics on the cryptocurrency because the bitcoin increases are not reasonable therefore in turn it is also expected that the ETH may be different from the opinions of others
