Title: Long Term Investment
Post by: NUP on December 16, 2017, 08:10:49 PM
Hey all,

Been investing in crypto for the last few months as well as trying to learn more about it. Initially downloaded Coinbase and deposited $1000 (50% - ETH, 35% BTC and 15% LTC). Since the initial investment I've been topping up each crypto depending on the market conditions (usually between $25 to $150).

Just wanted a little advice on whether it's better to carry on with this strategy and concentrating on these 3 cryptos for long term profit (1-5 years) or would it be advisable to increase the number of alts I have in my portfolio. Was looking at DASH, Ripple, Cardano, Monero, Stellar, NEO, Siacoin and OmiseGO.

Any advise is welcome  :)

On the subject to minimize risks by spliting ones investment the best number is about 30.
That is saying that the risks are not correlated (have relation or connection). In general if you split it you will minimize the total risk.

With that said, I would invest in more cryptos BUT all investments need to be carefully studied and analyized otherwise you are blindly picking.

I think all of the main bitcoin competitors will be huge in 1-5 years. I can;t tell you what to do, but I can tell you what I'm doing: 40% in BTC, 60% in alts. Alts distribution: 25% ETH, 25% LTC and then 5-10 coins by 5-10%, depending of current value and coin swaps.

You are Setting you numbers right in here . Those 3 coins are the only coins worth investing in right now and weither LTC survive or not you will absolutly make profite with BTC and ETH . They are both widely used as a payment method ,If they crash all the other cryptos are going to crash for sure .So BTC and ETH are the heart of cryptocurrency just be patient on your investment and don't cash out that often.

For long term invesment I think you should put %50 of your money to bitcoin. Because bitcoin keeps going up and up. And you should put other %50 of your money to altcoins such as ethereum, litecoin, waves, dash or any other. I put all my money to altcoins when bitcoin was going down but 1 month later I realized that if I would put only to bitcoin I would earn much more. For short term you can try altcoins.

What I noticed is you put even more with ETH rather than bitcoin but if I were you, I'll put more capital with bitcoin and if possible more than ETH. If you'll just buy and hold with the three coins that you prefer to hold for 5 years then just stick to it while those other coins that you are getting interest of are good coins too, you can do the same strategy with what you are doing with the three ones. Diversifying your investment is a good one and you seem to have a good potential portfolio. I can't say a thing anymore, I think you know what you are doing.

For starters, I think you have excellent choices there with your alts that you would invest in, if you would choose to do so.

I'd choose for example two of them (my top choices would be Ripple and Stellar, because the are still low priced and have huge potential) and expand your portfolio, just to diversify a bit. If one goes down, you always have backup.

On the other hand, I wouldn't do all of them. I have about 11 different altcoins now and I notice it becomes too much to all follow closely (I can almost hear people laughing now  ;D) if you  don't want to put too much time in it. Therefor, I'm looking to make my portfolio smaller.

I would not go too far from Bitcoin, it still shows its power, and can easily reach the moon, so I would advise you to keep 50% -60% in the BTC, and the rest is already on the situation

I've read somewhere that ADA is a promising coin. I haven't research well about it but you might want to consider it.

You've got good altcoins on your list and if I were to make a top 10 I will surely include those ones. Diversifying those coins is also a good technique in my opinion so if worst came to worst, all your eggs are not on the same basket. I'd make BTC on top though as it is the father of all coins and still promising when it comes to its price.

So far I didn't give much attention to the big guys (BTC, ETH, XRP). I focused on the risky little ones (30 millions USD market cap). I must say, I had some lucky shots, but, above all, pretty much anything is lucky as all coins go up together. :)

You have a good portion of portfolio. Better  to add Monero 10%   and NEO 10% and lessen your Ethereum to 30%.  Bitcoin must always have a bigger portion in your pie. In my portfolio I have 50% bitcoin and half of it are altcoins.

Most of the counted ones in above are good ones to buy in long run. But the problem is that you can have limited profit from them. The best is to get potential 5x 10x ones, which are found hard.

Why you put some beginner amount on ETH while bitcoin only 35%, i think most profitable is bitcoin when you wan't holding in long term than altcoins.
Bitcoin has a big potential to earned you more when it comes of investment in long term compared that altcoins.
Don't focus on altcoins they have more risky to the investors less risk is bitcoin ever.
Just add on you portfolio for long term investment WAVE.

I suggest that your strategy is not bad and if you will go with your current strategy then you will not lose but you will be in benefit because these three are growing with the passage of the time. Hold on like that if you are just investor and do not know to trade and if you are expert in trade then try to move from one to another when you see high price increase in one or another.

Some added diversity is always a good thing, it can reduce your risk over time, of course it may reduce profit if the other coins don't perform as well as the first 3 but on the contrary they may perform better. They're good coins you've listed, even SIA I'm skeptical about but as a long term investment with a small percentage of your funds I'd go with it.

Long term investment make you all top 20 cryptocurrencies. Decide wheter is good and bad for you.
That is too much, for long term you should have only top 5 coins in the coin market cap, also much better to put most of your money in bitcoin for safer investment because we all know that bitcoin is anonymous. The volatility makes our profit getting higher that is why if we have more bitcoin in the future it has a big possibility to make us rich.

if for a long period of your investment and have a lot of capital yes you may just buy another altcoin and hold until later you check again. if I think the coins you want to invest are pretty good for the long term because altcoin is promising for the future. more coins there is investment and capital there are more chances you get his profit.
chances are the middle of the year altcoin will experience an increase like that so it is suitable for HOLDS now

I think the mission of bitcoin is to make people rich and helping other people who are need money to sustain their expenses.

I think this is the best distribution I have seen so far. 90% in the big ALTs is maybe a bit big but it depends on your risk that you want to take. I would have 25% BTC and 25% in LTC and 20% Ethereum. That will leave about 30% for other ALT coins.

As for those I would have at least 1-2 or more from the top 10-15 cryptos, such as XRP, Monero or what you believe in for about 15%. Then I would find 3-5 Mid Cap Coins (top 100 cryptos) for the remaining 10-15%, what those are is up to you, a few are: ARK, TenX, ZCoin, Ethos. Then I would try to find some small caps, unknown coins that could be huge gainers but that I believe in and invest a small amount of my capital in them. Since these are high risk it should probably not be more than 5% in total of your investment but if you are lucky and do your research right then you might find the 100x in here :). A few I am looking at are: DeepOnion, Monetha and Substratum which I think have long term premise.

You can invest in some of the ICO projects appropriately. Compared with BTC,DASH and ETH, the benefits are stable, but the benefits are not high, and the benefits of ICO project are very high and the risks are very high.

Unfortunately, we have lost sight of the fact that the main purpose of cryptocurrencies is to provide a more practical, efficient and reliable monetary alternative than fiat money, and today they have only become speculative investment schemes without practical use. Therefore I am not very supportive of long-term investments in cryptocurrencies, they are a bubble that is about to burst, a trending business that will soon be displaced by another business model where everyone will want to move their money.

Ripple and SIA may be the choice of value when talking about long term investment. Behind them are projects which can get really massive if adopted by the audience these are meant to. You did a good coin selection, if you really believe in the projects invest and hold.

You have a good strategy for real, long term investing, but I would advice to add small amounts of risky coins from ICOs, they can grow much more than BTC or ETH. Here is my advice from another topic:
Quote
Rule of thumb, compose your portfolio of low-risk cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, others from top 10), moderate risk (solid projects after ICOs with working products) and high-risk (ICOs, pre-sales, etc). The key to strategy is distribution of your funds between these three classes in accordance with your strategy. It may be conservative, like 50/40/10, or risky like 33/33/33, maybe even 0/0/100. To avoid losing money, don't trade actively. Buy and hold for at least few months and don't read any news. And try to buy after price drops. Simple, but hard to follow.

As i look in the crypto currencies this time, only Cardano and Ripple from the top 10 crypto currencies in terms of market cap are still pumping while the rest turned red in color in the last 24h Change column. I will invest on these 2 cryptos with the same amount of money to pour in respectively while they are still cheap because i believe in the potential of these 2 cryptos.

it is up to you if you want an additional cryptos in your portfolio, those 3 altcoin you been choose to invest for a long term are good altcoin, and no doubt that after 5 years from now, those 3 altcoins you have are pump and become more profitable. and the other altcoins you want to add are a good altcoin too. many of us are not just investing on some good/popular altcoin but we are trying to choose more than that we knew that those alts can be survive for 2-3 year for more better profits.

Well I really like your plan. I am sure your portfolio is quite up now. Also what I like is that this is one of the least riskiest portfolio. Patience is the virtue and I am sure you will do really well in the future based on this plan alone.

However I would still suggest to add couple other coins with different use case than these three.

I think your choice of investment already good and i don't have any problem with the split, i don't like buying too many coins with only $25 worth of amount because it's too little, so u suggest a minimum of $100 each coin if you want to add something into your portfolio. Your choice is solid, keep holding at least until next year.

I think your strategy is definetly correct. As you say you did a long term investment and the possibility of making profit from your portfolio is very very high.
Yes, I also think his investment strategy is reasonable. If you are investing in some ICO projects, the earnings will be substantial in a few years.

For long-term strategy, you have chosen the correct coin. I would advise you to switch the ETH and BTC position though. You should invest the most in BTC, like 50% or 60%. But overall I agree with your choices, BTC LTC and ETH. The latter coin that you mentioned wouldn't be suitable for long-term holding. They're great too, don't get me wrong, but they will work best in shorter-term IMO. Buy those coin now and see 6-12 months from now, you should already get a considerable profit from those coins. Waiting too long on these coins might not be the best strategy. Also, if I may add my choice of alts for short-term hold: VEN, ELF, and MSP. You can thank me later ;)

Bitcoin, ethereum, monero are my picks they all do something different to eachother and both got great devs with their own niche markets.

I still hold my bitcoin, ethereum and monero for a long term investment because I know if I can hold it, in the future, I can make a huge profit especially today the price is not yet increased too high. besides that coin, I have another coin that I think could help me to gain more profit and I still buy the coins if the price is down. I have my patient to waiting the time is come and I don't have to be panic when I see the price is down and this is just my chance to buy more amount.

your portfolio actually looks good but diversifying it more is better since it will increase your chances of gaining some profit especially that you are planning a long term investment. Ripple and monero are good coins to invest in especially long term and i got an addition to that which is avt. Its a new coin but its  progress is astonishing and i see some potential in this project. However, last pick is on you so better choose wisely.

I think every coin is good for a long term investment.. but if hold litecoin for example.. and three month later you check the price out and you get a big profit and you feel enough for that profit, you can sell the coin with no doubt. But for me eth, ripple, dash, litecoin are really good for a long term investment

I'm one of the investors that is very lucky that I invested a coin that has a low circulating supply and I bought huge amount of coins while it's cheaper.
And that's for my long-term investment, maybe I'm gonna dump it for my wedding next year. I think I'm lucky enough to have this opportunity to earn money fast through Cryptocurrency investment.

Investing in coins is like investing in a company, therefore, it is advisable to spread your money or your profit to more wide pool of coins. If you are pursuing a long term investment, go for the coin with the fastest rate of growth than going for those who are already big.

We all agree that 2017 is the beginning of altcoin era, where people not only talking about Bitcoin but also enjoying a bunch of ICO. There is always a good time in everything. Investing in Bitcoin or in other cryptocurrencies have a right time in investing which involves holding and trading also. It is somewhat connected that it really needs your time to carefully watch and observe this organization and also the market this crytocurrencies are into. With knowing and observing, you can determine if this crypto are worth investing or not.

qbit rates will increase faster than expected,
just look at the trend of worry:

The uniqueness of the project, low price, low supply, the stability

It's definitely my choice for 2018 and beyond. Just my 2 cents!

Better to keep those three you have initially started with and now start seeking for more potential alternative cryptocurrencies in which you can see that is beneficial for your part in a way that it is also good for long term holding and investment. Sticking yourself with those three only is like locking yourself in a room wherein you cannot see the wonder of the world. Better keep yourself out of the box and seek for opportunities among other alts so that you can be able to expand and maximize your capacity and capability to make your money grow.

IMO, your strategy is good, BTC, ETH and LTC are the evergreen coins to hold for the long term. However, I have one concern about you toping up less than $200 per transaction in coinbase. As far as I know of, the transaction fees charged by coinbase is higher for transaction lower than $200. You may want to check it out.

As for diversifying your portfolio to the other altcoins, the coins you have chosen are good. My favourite among them are Monero, Neo and Omg.

Alts will surely get you more profits than investing in BTC but why you still need BTC in your portfolio? because BTC dictates how the market flows.

I think in 2018 will be year of Iota, aslo price of Iota now is too low for his project. U can buy for long term Iota and just be patient and at the end u ll be reward with big profit.

I am also studying this coin for weeks now and I can say that its a good coin and have a big potential to pump so bettet to hold some now. Also XEM are slowly pumping this year is great year for this two coin. Long term investment is a good strategy with a great coins and more profitable.

I see no problem with your portfolio , though 1000$ is not that big and gains would take a lot of time for you to appreciate it's profit. Long term investment for me is always a win/win situation in such top and promising coins, Lot of room to grow and price soon will rise more. Though, we wouldn't really know what will happen to it's future but since it has the reputation and strong support , the only way it's going is to rise.

I have not used coinbase. I'm not sure if you own the priv keys to the address where your funds are. I would recommend keeping only a small % of your portfolio in an exchange or where you plan to trade regularly and do not have priv keys.

Recommendation wise, I think this will be the year for privacy coins as more and more regulations are coming in - XMR, PivX, Zcash, etc.
You may want to check the privacy coin comparison here

To maximize profit with long term investment in cryptocurrency market just learn fundamental of some coin, learn about purpose of the project, what think that project make different with others, and the project should be consist of professional and solid team. For BTC, ETH. and LTC is good choice and others crypto that has big potential is VCT, ARK, WAVES, NAV, NEBLIO.

This is a good investment strategy but you still have to expand your investment portfolio because diversification can help you achieve more consistent returns on investment over time and reduce your overall risk on investment. You can also invest on devalued coins expecting to reap in future gains as they grow in the long run.

how much money you have to invest?? if you have small amount like (500/1000$) then you can invest in waves , etn, and xrp. remember you must have to hold this even their price going low.

I think your total investment is an important point. You also need to think about what you are looking for. Do you want to "play the lottery" and try to find the 100x-1000x coin with your $100? Or are you looking to invest in a "retirement fund" with $1000+?

For "playing the lottery" do some research on some small-cap coins with some unique features: DeepOnion, NoLimitCoin, QRL etc... Find one or two you like and place your $100 bet :).

If you are looking to invest a larger amount then I would suggest diversification so that you have most of your money in top 10 coins (XRP, LiteCoin, ...), a little less in the top 100 (Neo, Ark, ZCoin, ...) and finally again a small percentage in the possible "lottery winners".

But in all cases, make sure to do your research and not just listen to what people say here. Weigh their views and find your own way (and stick to it)!

Correct we need to based on how much is our capital, having small capital will gives us small profit then we need to have lower value of coins like what mate said, but if you have big amount of profit dont forget to have main coin which is bitcoin because it can give you good profit by holding it for long period of time.

I believe that ethereum is for long term investment but to ripple? I guess it was only for short term. Because this coin are increasing silently and unpredictable, other than that this coin are smoothly increasing for short term and fall down immediately if necessary. That's the reason I don't believe much on that coins.

In my assessment in terms of long term investment which is for me was good to invest in are Adex, Neo, Waves, Eth and of course Bitcoin the origin of all altcoins, where there is a rumor that this year 2018 bitcoin will become 60k$ up to 80k$ each.

Your choice is very good and even if you stick only with BTC, ETH, and LTC you will not make mistake. In 5 years ETH developers and ETH investors will push it up in the growth value. BTC will rise for sure cause it has a limitation of blockchain blocks and LTC higher transaction confirmation times will attract even more investors and that will start LTC rising curve. You must decide alone how much bankroll are you willing to spend and invest in other coins. I would probably stick to these 3 and with the spare profit, I would make an investment in probably 2 more coins. Ripple would be one of my choices. Good luck with your choosing and long-term investment.

If you want a nice long term investment, you should do it with other crypto's like the ICO investments because you can get there a profit share every year but it depends in their platforms. Investing in top cryptos is like trading so this is short investment and not good for long term one.

Hello, as you know, that betting to bigger, more popular coin like BTC and LTC will surely bring you some profit but not that big enough just like if you invest in new and undervalued coin.

New coin that is promising and is price wise will offer you higher returns than any coin just like PINCOIN.

Lets just take for instance, BTC has 221B$ as of this writing. LTC has 12B$, that was big market already, whereas if you invest in PINCOIN , as it goes to exchanger with great platform, it only needs a couple of Million$ just to double your holdings.

It seems to me that it is possible to expand the portfolio. Nevertheless, the situation is changing very quickly. The same Lightcoin at the dawn of crypto was second after bitcoin, and now in sixth place. And, indeed, the first echelon of cryptovariants expanded to 10 - Bitcoin, ETH (Ethereum), DASH (Dash), XRP (Ripple), XEM (Nem), NEO (NEO), IOTA (Miota), Zec (Zcash), ETC (Ethereum Classic),  EOS (Eos). And of course everything depends on the amount available. If money is not so much, then probably you should not spray them at all, priorities should be of course.

Well Ethereum is pretty good for long term investments as its price is stably increasing a little by little. I think you should divide your investments more into other good altcoins too as you would have planned too. But even if you don't do that I don't think there would be much risk as you have chosen some good coins. With your current investment I think you would be getting pretty good amount of profit after around 1 year, also be patient as it is a long term investment. If you panic and sell, it would result bad.

Long term suggestions:  Monero, NEO, stellar, SIacoin YES for HLODING!

others not so much, or at least give in how much you can afford to lose, DASH because the founder of DASH has over 50% in his possesion, so ultimately he can controll the price, Ripple ok but I would still suggest to go eazy on these two. But still DAsh, Ripple, monero will get pumped up when coinbase is going to accept them

For long investment, your portofolio is good, especially BTC and ETH. Both are great for long run. ETH's price is increasing little by little. If you want to diversify your portofolio, i think Iota and XRB will be rise in 2018, especially xrb. The community is strong and the project is great. Reaching top 20 cmc without getting listed on any big exchange yet, you can imagine what price will be once it listed on any big exchange.

Totally agreed. Top cryptos are already gained some value, it is good to trade in short term. The point here is to catch good project during their ICO because most of them gives a lot of discounts like %50 or give a lot of bonus coins. For example eth lend, if you compare its ICO price to current price you will understand what I mean.

Some are already up but some not, check them out :) especially for kek and posw I am expecting big moves in the next 2-3 months.

I think in 2018 will be year of Iota, aslo price of Iota now is too low for his project. U can buy for long term Iota and just be patient and at the end u ll be reward with big profit.
I agree that Iota is a good project but I doubt that this is just her year and she is now and so in the top of all currencies so everything here is ambiguous
You can keep what you have now and buy some Iota because it will increase rapidly this year.

this could work if we have another free money that we don't use for anything and we can hold it for 1 or 2 years from now. but the most important that we should need is we can stay calm and not attract to panic when the price is suddenly getting down. the long term investment could only work if we can hold our self without being panic and I think every coins in the exchange have big potential to increase high in the long term. but choosing the altcoins that not in the top 10 is a great idea because we can buy the coins with the cheap price and we can hold as long as we can while we can check how much the price from time to time.

Diversification is key to staying healthy in crypto.  You Hv 3 investments but the truth is there are many other viable options that would drive the growth of your portfolio.

If I understand correctly you said you top it continuously after sometimes... If you research some good project and put a 100 or 200usd and wait for a month or two.... You are on your way to dramatically increase the amount in your portfolio.

I think you should put %50 of your money to bitcoin.

My thoughts are
30% Bitcoin
30% Ethereum
20% Ripple
20% LTC

For just holding long term for ALL of 2018 long term hold

Dude that's the way to go for me too. Crazy how the price have rised already in 2018 for Ripple and Ether. It's a long term win win I would say :D

I have 300 Bancor tokens and I believe that this is not the critical amount that will change my life if I merge at the current price, I'm ready to wait even two years, till the project will be promoted, maybe it will not be in a year, but it's better to take a chance and try.

upcoming STeX exchange, because they give a certain percentage of fees as rewards to their shareholders.

This is the main coin on the market, where you can now invest.
1. Cardano (ADA)
The programming code of the Cardano platform is one of the most secure. The project also closely cooperates with government regulators, in particular, in the fight against money laundering.
2.  NEM (XEM)
NEM is a very ambitious project developed on open public code. Without a doubt, this is one of the most promising market participants. The developers have implemented several important principles in the platform: cheap and fast transactions, high productivity, a system of the participants' reputation, orientation to the traditional financial sector of the economy.
3. TRON  (TRX)
A decentralized entertainment platform, implemented on the principle of a social network. A unique alternative to Google Play and the AppStore.

Yes i agree on that because long term invesyment is jist lime waiting for a big opportunity to earn big amount but in every moment we really need a big patience because we  can be tempted  to sell earlier specially when people get panic about pump and dump i believe that  long term investment is profitable if we really get focus on it.

Not at all long-term investment is profitable dude. especially if you're wrong in choosing a coin you'll use for long-term investments. let alone a lot of altcoins that have a short life span right ? so if you want to do long-term investments make sure you pick coins that have potential and the possibility to continue to grow and have a large community. for example maybe like bitcoin, ethereum, dash, waves, nxt, etc

I added xvg too for my long term investment and I still buy xvg if the price is down because of xvg, for now, it still cheap so I can buy a lot of xvg. besides that, I think we can do for another coin like cardano and other coins while the price still cheap. I think we need to take a serious to make a bigger profit for the long term. I think it is fine if we cannot buy an expensive coin because we have many coins that are cheap so we can buy and keep the coin until it's increased.

The 3 you have are fine but I would be adding some more for better long term profits. I like NEM as a long term hold but I would be also taking a few risk with some of the under 300 mill cap. Ones like PRL, LEND, DIM and POE all seem like they could go up huge amounts and have decent trading volumes. They are just a few suggestions off the top of my head but there's a lot more very similar potential.

Any advise is welcome  :)

actually for alts i think it's good to buy super low but with too much potential because this is actually what a long term investment needed in order to give you better returns in the future. BTC is a sure profit if long term will be done.

Concentrating holding on those three coins are good that's less hassle on your part since you don't have to visit the exchanges from time to time to see the prize or chart. Holding is profitable. However if you really want to maximize profit you need to trade. The coins you have mention in the latter part are good too, they potentail to gain profit whether trading or holding.

Take for example Ripple, I bought it last May for 20 cents. If only I held it not trade for 6 months up to now I should gain more profit than trade it.

If you want to long term invested.you go to ethereum it will help you to invest.theres a good choice if you choose this altcoin. I know this ethereum will pump in this 2018.

I really like Ether but I doubt it is a good idea for long term or not. I prefer not so popular coins for long term investment because they can multiply their value sometimes by 100X and sometimes more but Ether or Bitcoin cannot do that.

I think it is a good portfolio, and maybe you can make better that with ripple. Also, in my opinion, monero and IOTA are really promising coins for the future. Good luck!

Long tram investment is a one of the best investment for every person but most of the people think that quick money but it is a very ingenious for those people who want to quick earn money, still now some one put some altcoin so they must make a huge profit so it is better to invest long term.

I also invest for the long term I choose Eth and waves to make in my investment.

Up till last month I was mostly doing short term trading but I've started to be a long term trader after seeing that the coins I've sold became at least 10X. I'm just buying and forgetting at the moment for at least 6 months period.

For long term investment PIVX still looks great. Masternodes, privacy and plan for DEX this year. Solid team and good community.

Market is really unstable now, so nobody will tell you trully wich altcoin makes you rich in future. Now it's look like roullette more and more with each day.

Consider looking into CoinMarketCap’s top coins. Coins are ranked with specific market details. This will give you a good idea as to what coins you would choose. Some of the alts you mentioned are quite good and are actually making some noise already. But it would be wise to make your own assessment first before picking. God bless you on your investment.

It seems to me that a coin of the first ten can bring a very large profit in a few years. Crypto currency is just beginning to develop, so all coins have a great potential

ETH is surely a great pick, NEO, Stratis and QTUM as well. If you are considering a pick that could get you higher returns, have a look at HOQU, it is a highly rated ICO with lots of potential: https://www.hoqu.io/?ref_id=0c1d51f3465bda51aac7f3016f84a20e (https://www.hoqu.io/?ref_id=0c1d51f3465bda51aac7f3016f84a20e)

I think investing some portion to alt coins is a good way to earn more in shorter term than 1-5 years, especially take a closer look at WAVES, NEO and XRP.

I'd personally advise you to be a little patient as all the altcoins went up (even BTC now) and you might want to wait for a dip before investing anything. The dip will come, it always comes, you just have to be patient.

I do not have the patience to wait for several years. Very often I do not wait for a big profit to sell coins. Then I regret it. Now I bought a few coins and I hope that I have enough patience. In my portfolio IOTA, ripple, Monero, Ether.

If you make a long-term investment, my sincere advice is to invest in Bitcoin, as its exchange rate will remain stable and unstable like altcoin. Because Bitcoin has a limit of only 21 million coin, its low exchange rate is unlikely to happen, the recent downturn has been due to Bitcoin having to deal with a lot of information. neglected and influenced by events like Christmas. But now Bitcoin rates have risen sharply to nearly $ 18,000.

if you approach this issue in practice, then you really correctly say that investing in Bitcoin will bring a good profit, especially if you take into account all those forecasts that have been mentioned all the time about the prospects of bitcoin. But at the same time, from a practical point of view, everyone understands that the price for Bitcoin is overstated and unreasonable. There is an opinion that this is an air bubble and it can burst very quickly.

Better to keep those three you have initially started with and now start seeking for more potential alternative cryptocurrencies in which you can see that is beneficial for your part in a way that it is also good for long term holding and investment. Sticking yourself with those three only is like locking yourself in a room wherein you cannot see the wonder of the world. ;)

Guys what do you think of WAVES, I think they are great for a long term hold!

I've been holding it over a year. And no intention to sell them soon. Happy with the developments and the plans they are tyring to make happen.
But price is not that showing those when compare with the other IMO. Better do own research always though.
