Title: Is Binance safe to store cryptos?
Post by: bigboy61 on December 27, 2017, 10:15:57 PM
Hello!

I have about $600 worth of various Cryptos on Binance. I have two-factor Authentication enabled (meaning I have to get a code from the Google Authenticator App on my phone). Is it safe to just store the coins on the exchange? That way it will be easier when I go to sell them and I don't have to keep paying fees for transferring them in and out. I realize that it's not normally advised, but with two-factor authentication enabled, does that change anything?

Thanks!

better download a wallet and put your coins in it. it is not safe to store cryptos on the exchange because it maybe hacked.

The chances you will get hacked is very, very small.

Going to hard wallet means decreasing the chances of getting hacked from 0.01% to 0.001%

nonetheless, it's still 'possible', and a hardware wallet is always safer.

As far as i know, only etherdelta is the most safest of all exchange, but i suggest you to save and put your money in a wallet so that it will be kept because you cannot rely on any exchange in keeping your coins.

Never use exchanges as long term storage of your coins. If you want real safety, you need to move your coins to wallets, where you control your private key.
Google is just basic safety measue (there should be no question like use it or not). It's just protect your account from person, who may know you login details (for example - your device may be infect with keylogger).
But 2fa can't protect your coins if exchange will be hacked, turn into scam or will be shut down by authorities. Yes, binance is reputed exchange, but everything is possible. I think there is no need to remember stories of Mt.Gox, Bitfinex, BTC-E. 2fa can't help to protect your coins on exchange in such cases.

If you are holding many btc or just invested and do not want to sell it for long term than you should ideally be saving it offline. But if you want to do trading or buy/sell for a short term and do not have much value worth than you can safely keep it in binance or other good exchanges.

The recent hack does not prove this security but EtherDelta is a great platform, in relation to security, the hardware wallet is safer, because own you will own the key, exchanges only use to trade fast.

when we are going to the store of the crypto coins, every exchanges are little bit risk to store in the online exchange. hack of the exchange will lead to the loss of all your crypto coins.ex: nicehash.
so better go with the hardware or paper wallet to store the cryptoxurrency....

as a rule number 1 on crypto, the safest place to hold coins is on your fully control devices, and I don't say that in there aren't good place  :D

Many times hack try is happen on trading site and online wallets only so keeping large amount of fund in the any trading site is not advisable for anyone. However, better option in that etherdelta and livecoin website to use for trading and keeping some funds in it.
Keep convert the Cryptos as price grows on the concern coin. That will allow you to find the profit more than you expected.

explained well.
binance is now #1 exchange for traders. you can trade safely here like you do on other exchanges. and transferring coins on hard wallet gives you security that binance or any other exchanges wont.

If you are on doubts regarding on fees then you can easily convert it into some alts then deposit and withdraw it back into your own hardwallet. Sounds hassle right? But would really be more worth of to avoid some risk on losing up money. I'm not saying that Binance would be hacked now but possibilities and risk is always there but as I have read you all set-up 2fa authentication which is somehow a good security measure on protecting account. Just choose on those options which you do see that would suit you most.

It is not advisable to store your coin you are holding for long term on exchange, the best way to save your coin,  is to use a USB stick ( ledger Nano), exchange may get hacked.

A good rule to follow is that you should never store you coins in an exchange or any site like that. It doesnt matter how trustful is the exchange.  The best thing that you can do is store your coins in a wallet, preferably in an offline wallet.

Title: Re: Is Binance safe to store cryptos?

you should still use wallets, exchanges are not 100 percent safe, just like everything. be careful specially about sites asking for your private keys.

if you dont have say millions in your exchange i think this level of protection is okay, but remember everything is hackable, given with enough time and resources, just be careful giving out any.private keys, when logging in to binance use their application as much as possible, and once your using the application avoid logging out. activate authenticator and email notif.

Wallet on exchanges dont have any guarantee if you lose your assets in there.
If you want the safest place, you need to use blockchain wallet, it was the best, or atleast use wallet that has sign-in message feature and you own your private keys of your wallet

Exchanges can be easily manipulated or hacked, even bittrex dont guarantee your asset if you lose your BTC

Hello, based on my observation, storing a large amount of coins to the trading platform is not recommended at all cost, its because when the trading platform is hacked, all your coins will be gone too. so better put your coins into a safe wallet. I told my friends not to store in any trading platforms and its better to be safe than sorry.

Hoping you read my suggestion.

Thanks

Of course, two-factor authentication significantly reduces the risk, but we must remember that reducing the risk of hacking Your account. The risk of hacking the stock exchange remains. These are two different things.

I think it is safe but you need to think about not safe all amount of your coin on that site because you don't know what will happen in the future. but if you only do short term trade, then I think you can save it in there and you can sell it for fast. but make sure that you verify your account especially to activate the 2fa to secure your account. after you do this, I think your account will be safe and you can trade without worry.

Having those kind of security measure would really give us confidence regarding on our account but only on short terms. If we are kind of a trader which do make positions actively then its more convenient to us to store up coins in exchange since we can able to execute orders without the hassle on transferring your money and waste up time if you do see trading or profits opportunity.

It depends on the coin which you purchased is a HODL or Short Term sell. If it is the short term you may keep it on Exchange(still not recommended). If it is a HODL you can keep it with you offline for years. Thanks

If you have 2-factor authentication it's safe enough. I think it's necessary to think about stronger ways if you have much more than 20-30 btc.

I don't know how safe binance is, tho I have funds there from my recent trades, remember that don't put your funds in one place. All I can say is if you're using them for trading in a short term then it will be good. But if you're using binance as wallet then I will recommend that use some offline wallet or desktop wallet instead.

Hi,

For me no centralized exchange is safe !...So not Binance, not COin Base, not Kraken not Bitrex, Bifinexx, Cryptopia, Poloniex and all the others...
Today it's still more convenient tu use them but as a logical way of thinking about the advantages of cryptocurrencies, 2018 will be the year of DECENTRALIZED EXCHANGES :
that's one of the reason why WAVES will be huge this year with their new dex...

Binance exchange I think in the long run would be like Bittrex exchange sooner or later. Its a good exchange it has a good future too for sure so I had no doubt to buy some of the altcoins there and make some trade through buy and sell.

Binance is big exchange and they are selecting a good coin with existing product to be trade in their ecosystem and that could make us feel cool to trade on binance site. But you could withdraw your balance if you feel that you doesn't want to trade for that day and came to deposit when you feel your hands to trade those potential alts listed on their site.

I think it's not safe to store your crypto assets in exchange. It's better you withdraw quickly to your wallet after trading. There are many chance that exchanges will hold your funds, such as site maintenance, wallet problem, DDos attack, or the worst case is exchange got hacked.

There are so many issues with hacked or stolen funds even the 2FA is enabled, example of hitbtc and blockchain.info With the current issue, I can tell that there are still possiblity that your funds can be stolen regarding those addtional security. The only you can do is don't ever put all your funds on any exchange.

although no exchange is safe, we could try to prevent this as we have to activate 2fa, securing our account by sending the code verification for login, withdraw and else, increase our account level to highest level. I think if we do this, at least we can prevent from being hacked and we can trade with safety. besides that, we need to watch for not a usual activity that might be happening with our account so we can prevent and solve the problem if we have.

I have been using binance probably since a year, i store mostly bitcoin and ripple and exchange between them, sometimes i transfer ripple from binanxe to coinpayments, while enabling 2FA, i don't think there would be any issues storing your coins with binance. However, you must backup your 2FA code in order to avoid future issues. If you face any problems, you can ask their support team through telegram group, they are always available to solve your issues

Only store your crypto's on exchange if you ABSOLUTELY have no other options. By no other option, I mean there's currently no paper wallet, desktop wallet, or hardware wallet for that particular coin. If you really like a coin after researching and can only get it on an exchange or two, then you have no other option until that company releases its wallets.

That is the usual advice... keep coins in your wallet. The problem comes when the coin has gone down 10% in the last hour and seems that is going to keep falling. Then you may consider that selling and buying cheaper is the thing to do, but you can´t because the network is collapsed and it takes too long.

Even with keylog 2 factor, using google authenticator is safe enough because it changes randomly everytime. I have 2 factor in all the exchanges I work with and several other safety measures that I won´t comment :)

2FA authentication will stop most attacks getting in through at a singer user level.
The biggest threat is when the exchange itself get’s hacked.
You’re then in the hands of how the exchange itself, holds you’re credentials and private keys.
As an example, some of the previous breaches, including Sony some years back, got hacked, and the end user’s details were stored by Sony in plain text, rather than a hash/cipher format.
As the likes of Binance are involved in Crypto, I’d hope they made ire a bit harder.. but as with always, it’s only as good as the weakest link. A hardware wallet would be bullet proof from an online hack, but my concern is losing the hardware wallet!

I dont think that any exchange EVER gonna be safe to store cryptos. First of all all of them are big targets for hackers. If they succeed they are rich as fuck.
And then dont forget about their economical situation. When the exchange crashes, they will keep your funds.

I feel like some of these exchanges, particularly big ones like Binance, should be able to get insurance for hacks.

So for example, if an insurance agency agrees that Binance is taking all the appropriate steps to reduce their likelihood of getting hacked (perhaps through cold storage of coins, and other more normal security measures) they provide insurance up to value of X, which can be used to provide coins back to users if there is a hack.

I mean, Binance provides GAS from NEO like a regular wallet - so obviously they know some people may treat their exchange as a wallet replacement.

Exchanges are not safe to store your coins for long term hold, better to put in a secured wallet.
Only put your couins if youre going to sell them.

For me, no exchanges are safe to store your coins/tokens in. It's better to store them in a offline wallet or through your main wallet like Blockchain, coinomi, or MEW.

I think it all depends on the amount you are going to hold on the exchange. If it's about 1000$,  these amount are not so sorry to lose, than it will be several BTC. But it's just my opinion. For somebody 1k is a huge sum

If you just want to store you should use hardware wallet. The Binace Exchange should only be used for exchange. Although the possibility of losing is not much but still not secure with a hardware wallet.

Keep what you want to sell on the exchange. If you want to HODL a certain coin/token, best use a wallet such as MyEtherWallet for ERC20 tokens. Exchanges are susceptible to hacks.

Majority of the answer are in favor of "dont put your altcoins in exchanges and hokd it for a long term investment.
Maybe they already experience that storing cryptos in any exchanges is not good.

First of all, everything depends on the user's security skills on the Internet. Even a bunch of antivirus and firewalls will not help you steal your mail if you do not follow the basic rules. Go through suspicious links, always check the site address in the line to avoid phishing

Thanks!

if you are looking for 5 years hold then move to private wallet, otherwise should be ok

If you have the two factor authentication in the trading enable it for personal hacking issue. However, Binance is not good for holding and all.

The chances you will get hacked is very, very small.

Going to hard wallet means decreasing the chances of getting hacked from 0.01% to 0.001%

nonetheless, it's still 'possible', and a hardware wallet is always safer.

your comments about wallet make no sense.. have you any idea how many sites have been hacked and how much lost? millions of dollars worth of crypto has been lost due to hacking.. its always safer to keep it on a local wallet...

I do not know about the account of the Binance, but there are exchanges with the support of cold wallets

But I will not argue that any super complex defense will have a hacker who can hack it, but the chances of such an event as you yourself understand are small. Usually burglaries are due to the irresponsibility of the owners (remember the recent case with EtherDelta)

That's the risk when you do tend to store up coins on such exchange probability or possibilities of getting hacked is there which cant really be avoided specially when bitcoins price is surging up. Hacking incidents do happen which I did observe this is why if you do store up some serious amounts that you cant afford to lose up then better to make a habit on getting out those funds after you do make trades but on case to case basis because fees will hurt you up but if you do only store some amounts then its not really necessary to move out as long you are aware on the risk.

It's one of the safest to store cryptos as of right now because it just came out and has legit offices around the world. With that said, no exchange should be used exclusively for storing cryptos. The best is to store it yourself safely.

Also if one is going to use Binance, make sure to take advantage of this service:

As far as i know, only etherdelta is the most safest of all exchange, but i suggest you to save and put your money in a wallet so that it will be kept because you cannot rely on any exchange in keeping your coins.

EtherDelta is not a safe place to trade right now. First we were informed of a new CEO, within a day of that news there is a major DNS hack which results in hundreds of thousands (maybe millions by now) of dollars worth of Ether and Altcoins being stolen.

Rather than come out with an explanation of what happened, how it's going to be prevented in future etc, the new owners decided to announce an ICO which is not only unnecessary but also a blatant moneygrab.

For me personally, IDEX will be the new place to trade.

Agree and disagree. Security and safety of funds starts with user practices and behaviors. Think about the very basic security features of cryptography in cryptocurrency. It is already so difficult (actually impossible today) to crack a private key.

But the OP is talking about using a centralized exchange, where you have no control over private keys, no control over your funds. They can access your coins at any time, and run away with it at any time. You cannot control this.

Whatever it is, your funds are NEVER safe if you do not control them.

Title: Re: Is Binance safe to store cryptos?

It seems like a very reliable exchange. But you must store your cryptos not on the only one exchange, but in your own wallets and other exchanges too. Exchanges are attacked every day. It's dangerous to keep anything there for the long term.

Title: Re: Is Binance safe to store cryptos?

If you want real safety, you need to move your coins to wallets, where you control your private key.

If you use coins for trading than you need to leave them on exchange. It's not  that dangerous as in earlier days, but you need to careful.
The bigger part of your coins you should keep safe on maybe Ledger nano S. This will be safer option.

Why would ask again the same thing on what OP is asking on here, instead on answering him? Despite of that I will answer this for the benefit of those people who do have the same questions including you. Storing amounts on any exchange doesn't even guarantee you that it is safe no matter how you do set 2fa or security measures If the site gets hacked then your coins is at risk too even no matter how big those exchanges are, they are not excluded or exempted into those kind of scenarios this is why its ideal to store up on small portions.

They are a trusted exchange but it's not advisable to store all your wealth in crypto's there. Remember that every exchange is vulnerable with attacks and if you'll try not to follow that suggestion then you probably might at risk. Whenever you'll use binance or store crypto's there those coins should be good for trading not for holding.

One question: If you have a Ledger Nano, and decides to transfer funds to Binance wallet, can you still keep the keys at Ledger and fully control the funds ? Is that doable ? I already know that using hardware wallets or a Ether network wallets you keep the Key (although AFAIK ether network wallets still pose a threat, such as what recently happened with EtherDelta), but if you keep the funds out of the Binance wallet you may lose a trade opportunity when sending from your hardware wallet to Binance wallet. Please let me know if  hardware wallet will allow for the best of both worlds, that is, keeping the funds at Binance wallet ( or any other exchange wallet) while keeping the Keys unhackable at my hardware wallet (Ledger Nano or any other good device). I suppose that would create a win-win scenario where transaction at the Exchange is immediate and funds are locked out of the exchage and unhackable any exchange attack at the same time. If there is one place on earth that can have this question answered must be this thread :)

Thanks !

Instead of keeping your coin in the exchange it is much safer to keep it in your wallet like myetherwallet than to keep it on binance exchange due to it is too risky especially this exchange is not that stand long yet in this field of industry.

if you are going to do this long term, it will be very much helpful for you to have a hardware wallet.

If you do not hold much coins and only do a short term trading then it is fine to use the exchange because its one of the big exchanges. Though you should always be withdrawing some btc when you make profits and keep storing in offline wallet or to a better wallet in order to have the better control of your own coins.

No its not safe, exchanges may be hack, lock your account (if they find something shady) or just run away with you coins, binance maybe good for now but not always.

That way it will be easier when I go to sell them and I don't have to keep paying fees for transferring them in and out. I realize that it's not normally advised, but with two-factor authentication enabled, does that change anything?

No, it doesnt change a thing, when a hacker hacks an exchange it can move free all the coins that he wants without the regards of security features.

But if you want just for storing better you have own wallet that you own the private key because its more safe. Store money in any exchanger just for trading. If not better store in your own wallet.

I dont know on where you do get this idea which exchange wallet is much better on paper wallet. Seriously? You are saying the reverse thing on here. Any wallet that are on 3rd party is never been safe knowing that you dont have the access on your wallets keys.

I would not store on an exchange unless you are trading or waiting to buy something. I hold everything in cold storage. It is the safest way to store all crypto. Exchanges are very vulnerable. It is a major target. Cold storage like nano leger is the best option for crypto. You can find it online.

Initially I had some resistance using Binance and to believe its trust worthiness as its headquarter is based in China however, after extensive research and making deposits and withdrawal,
I can now say that’s it’s much more better trading platform than its peers I have used so far.

Their website is simple and user-friendly. Its easy to navigate through balances and deposits&withdrawals supported by Duo Verification Security. This makes it extremely safe to use.

Same experience on this new trading/exchange site. I love their UI/UX which it is somehow user friendly and the thing I do like is on its security which I do somehow feel more secure compared into other sites but the thing on my mind on possible exploits or hacks cant really be avoided this is why no matter how good it is I don't really have the confidence to store up huge amounts and leaving my coins on any exchange no matter how good they are.Better to be ready than sorry later on.

I think yaa..
While Binance is one of the newest cryptocurrency exchanges available on the market, it has quickly managed to attain a high level of trust from its users and the digital currency community. However, the exchange fails to provide users with enough information on how the funds are being secured, yet we like to believe that security is taken seriously. Two-factor authentication is available and is always a nice sight. It is however known that the platform offers a multi-tier and multi-tier system architecture.

Storing big amounts in exchange is not advisable to be honest since most of hacks happens there, if you really want to make sure your investments are safe I suggest you should download a wallet since you want to hold it for a long time :)

it is actually safe, but can you imagine how many hackers will try to hack it due to the fact that it's number one?

On a related note, if you are mining coins, is it safe to deposit them on exchanges like Binance for temporary storage?

Do the deposit addresses they give you stay with your account permanently?

Use a hardware wallet or Desktop wallet to store your coins. Don't use web wallets. It is't safe to store coins on the exchanges like Binance since they might be get hacked easily!  :)

For hodlning, yeah, store in HW wallets, but for trading, and not huge amounts, so far I trust Binance to keep my coins.

The best way to store crypto is to use different cold storage: Ledger or Trezor for example

No exchange is safe.
Better keep your coin in Core wallet or something like that.
Anything can happen and now Binance recently became no 1 in ranking.
It could be a target.

I cant argue on the thing you do said on here regarding on the exchange which is actually true.I do love this new exchange I do see that they are really focusing on the main or important aspect of an exchange really should have but doesn't mean that they are prone to exploitations or not hackable. It might be hard but possibilities is always there.

Its much better and always been suggested to keep your coins in your own wallet not on exchange one. This is what I'm doing ever since because I don't let those coins of mine to be idle on any exchange that I do make use.

I trust this exchange. To ensure that you have no doubts about reliability, install two-factor authentication. This will greatly enhance the safety of your money and increase the withdrawal limit. But you must always follow the main rule of investor - don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I feel like two factor authentication may help with individual security - ie avoids issues if someone finds out your password.

However, 2FA will make little difference if Binance exchange as a whole gets hacked. For example, with what happened to Nicehash. Won't matter if you have a super long password with random symbols and 2FA if the actual security systems at the exchange itself is compromised!

Binance is better than majority of exchange i would say, soon it will replace bittrex.it UI and app is great.every major exchange use cold wallet to secure their fund but you should always increase security while you are holding fund in exchange.but it is not advisable to store your fund in exchange ,always prefer client wallet and keep private key safe.

Like everyone says, you're better off with a hardware wallet and if possible a paper wallet.

Apart from the share of coins that you would trade , its always best to move major amount to paper wallets, provided you are good at keeping track of the wallet details properly backed up, especially if you have a diverse portfolio.

Multi asset wallets like exodus are also something to look into.

So far binance is a safe market for altcoin, but it isn't recommended to use wallet exchangers to keep altcoins much longer in the long time, because something could happen, so the safest way to keep altcoins in the long time is a wallet that has a private key with good security like blockchain, myether wallet for altcoin which has etherum platform and waves.io for altcoin based waves.

If you trade on the stock exchange every day, then you do not have the sense to transfer coins to a purse, but if you are a long-term investor, then it's certainly better to transfer everything from the exchange to a purse. So it will be more reliable!

Binance is used to store your cryptos, while you are active in doing such trades. But if you are not selling or buying anything for a while, it is safe to look for a secure wallet that especially ones that complies with your locality because exchanges are not-so-good in storing your cryptos, hacking is possible.  :)

Thanks!
Not safe, not in exchange. Like if could gone down and all your fund would be lost.

It is safer to store coins in purses, not on stock exchanges. Exchanges are often exposed to hacking, and even more often they simply close, no matter how large they are. There are plenty of examples. Therefore, it's better to keep on your purses, it's best to use cold wallets

If I'm buying multiple different coins monthly and looking for both shirt term gains and long term gains, what should I do?

I'm using coinbase to store my main coins such as Ether but then using binance to move money around.

What's the best thing I can do?

In about 6 months I'm aiming to have about 2-3k in trading coins.

Binance is safe right now, but not at the moment when you are going to withdraw. What I mean here is no exchanges are safe and do not trust any third parties to store your cryptocurrencies. If you want to hold and store, I recommend you to buy some hardware wallet. This way, no one will able to steal your coins at all except they got your hardware wallet and passphrase.

You should only store your coins in exchange if you are a day trader. But only temporarily. Your core profits in terms of ETH & BTC should be moved to a physical wallet. Trust me, there are no other exchanges as trustworthy as keeping it yourself physically.
Of course, with 2FA activated in Binance it is very safe but as long as your token amount exceed 4 digits (in terms of USD value), do invest in a physical wallet. You will not regret.

If you do not hold much coins and only do a short term trading then it is fine to use the exchange because its one of the big exchanges. Though you should always be withdrawing some btc when you make profits and keep storing in offline wallet or to a better wallet in order to have the better control of your own coins.

The main purpose of Binance and the other exchanges is to exchange coins, not to store especially if there is a need to store coins for long period of time. Once funds are transferred to the exchange, no matter what kind of, they're not yours until they're withdrawn back to a private wallet with full control of the private keys. It's better to spend a little on fees while transferring funds back and forth between a safe wallet and exchange rather than loose all the coins once something bad happens with an exchange.

Yes it is safe to store the altcoin in top exchanger like binance.
I suggest you to store the altcoin and also bitcoin in exchange just in small amount which you use to trade only. Store the the other in the personal wallet that you own the key.

No exchange wallet is safe due to two reasons:

 - hack issue for hot wallets
 - exchange takes the money and claimed get hacked

Thanks!
Well in my opinion. If you are afraid of being hacked then you should secure you personal details so that you are the only one who can access your account. And a piece of advise, dont store all your coin in binance since, it is still in online and many smart people really can find a way to hack their prospect account. Always have a back up in case of emergency.

Dont use binance to store all your crypto I suggest you to store your all crypto to the trusted wallet sites or download a app that you can private it and have good security not for exchange wallet many says thats not a good idea to store your altcoins to exchange wallet because its probably get and lost your coins if there site will crash.
you mean that the best way to save your years is to have an offline wallet? The thing is that you still need to decide on one or the other application, because not all of them deserve good trust. What can you advise for example?

In this cryptoworld i can't trust any exchange site. But binance is one of good in them. Also my %10 is on binance %10 is on kucoin.
The other %80 of my btc is in my private wallet. The best way is that i think.

If your intention is nothing related with trading I advise against storing your coins on an exchange as anything could happen maybe change of regulations or more  KYC requirements which many of us are not ready for and could end in the  freezing of our funds
No exchange wallet is safe due to two reasons:

 - hack issue for hot wallets
 - exchange takes the money and claimed get hacked

This is what scares me the most about keeping funds in such places

In my opinion, if your two-factor is enabled, your account will be secure. No possibility of hacking.

Thats one of the risk on where theres already a sudden change of rules specially on KYC then it would really be a hassle thing specially if you do store up large sums of amount on that exchange. If you are not actively trading then better pull out those coins and better to store it on wallets which you do have the full control.

In my opinion, if your two-factor is enabled, your account will be secure. No possibility of hacking.
I agree into this point when it comes to your exchange account 2fa is always advisable which would really less the risk of getting hacked by someone but if hacking incident would be generally on the site then it would really be an another story.

Its safe for me just put 2fa for you to notify that theirs a hacker and who want to steal your assets. But to be sure and more secure storage you can store your cryptos in hardwallet.

Binance is a commercial site that has received a lot of support from big investors and security and safety is one of the reasons why Binance is getting so much support. Binance offers investors a number of advanced security features that help you keep your account secure with multiple layers of security. I am also keeping a lot of my coin on Binance and I am completely reassured about it.

For only $600 worth in crypto i think its safe to store in any exchanger specially binance which is reputable exchanger.
If you have more capital then you might think to have hard wallett to store it because its much better.

better download a wallet and put your coins in it. it is not safe to store cryptos on the exchange because it maybe hacked.

I am a bit confusing about what he ask in op.
Dose he want just store the value of his crypto in binance or store and also trade it.
Because if you suggest to download wallet that he can not trade it because he will just store it.

storage coin in binance is very secure because many requests verification code if we want to enter into binore account so chances are there are hackers enter only a few

As of exchanges binance looks one of safer picks, but its always best to use hardware wallet if ure not a trader

This is correct opinion, if you are not trader so i think to use the hardware wallet is wise choice to store your crypto and its the way safer compare with exchanger.
Store in exchanger just the capital that you use for trading only.

BInance is an exchange. it is better to store your coin in the online wallet
you can control the private key, if you store your coin at exchange you do not have the private key.

Binance is one of the most reliable exchanges. But you do not have to use exchanges to store your coins there. This is a big risk. If you bought coins for long-term storage the best way is to take them from the exchange to the wallet.

For my long term portfolio usually I store coins and tokens
in the official wallets, making periodically backups.

Instead, if you would like to make trading with that coins,
so Binance is going to be good.

What the others think about this strategy?

Although Binance is safe but if you are long term investor then i advise you should store all your coin in hardware wallet, this will safer than you store it in exchange sites.

If you think the coin is really potentials, well I think it is better not store you altcoin in the exchange, its fine if the coins is not potential. Then it is much better to download coinomi or myetherwallet to keep you altcoins.

That's not even a strategy. You only keep your coins/token on online wallets for long term and you will use binance as exchange site if you want to trade.

If you still want to keep your token on exchange sites (this case is Binance), i would suggest you to verify your account to max level on that exchange.

although binance is safe it will be better if you will hold your coin in a long time in offline wallet. or at least there is a wallet. we will not know what will happen next, maybe people out there are smarter to outsmart and solve the security that already exist today. but for trading day by day or for a short period of time I think it is possible. we must also be smart to manage our savings and safeguard our coins safer.

we still remember about BTCe and MTGox :)

If your trading account don't need all of 600 doll. then will be better to store them in  cold wallet with Ledger or similar device.
When you decide to go va-bank you could return money to Binance deposit.
Good luck and be careful.

Anything you store online isn't safe from attacks. The convenience is there when you are storing that much crypto's on an exchange but if you don't have any plans of becoming a day trader make sure that you are storing it on a safer place. Download the wallet of that certain coin and keep it to your smartphone or desktop. I know that paying fees is a pain when you keep on doing that again and again but I'll take the pain of those fee before I'll take the pain that my coins are compromised when an unexpected thing happens to that exchange.

After trading some exchanges. I saw that Binance exhchange is good platform. They also have app (IOS and Android).
big volume a day, have some coins with good pumping and dumping aday for user to play around.

For your question, good place to store cryptos. Any plance can have a risk. the safe place to store that is cold wallet ever.

all is my opinion.

So far there has never been a problem I experienced in binance and I always keep it there because I used to trade with binends, I think it would be safe if it was stored there although the possibility of a hack would exist, but would be very small.

It is common knowledge that, assets should not be left on exchanges, not just because the exchanges might fold up with your money, it is possible for their website to be compromised thereby exposing your funds to risk.

It is common knowledge that, assets should not be left on exchanges, not just because the exchanges might fold up with your money, it is possible for their website to be compromised thereby exposing your funds to risk.

Let's make Mt.Gox as example for that they are supposed to be a big exchange before where many people store their money but turns to become compromised by inside job or whatever fraud reason and this should be our strong basis that we shouldn't let our balances store on any of those since exchanger sites like binance is prone of hacks since they are vulnerable on attacks or inside attacks since big amount of dollars are in their and greedy people might attract to hit those one.

We should trade what we can afford to lose and always secure what we gain so that we will not feel drought .

As of now but in future? we dont know, so we shouldn't put our 100 trust since exchangers are not to be treated as personal wallet and exchanger site like binance is prone to anything eventhough they set their security so high.

Hackers will always find ways to crack some hole.

I wouldn't trust storing big amount of crypto's on exchanges. I don't care even there are many users who are claiming they are trusted. It's not about the trust rating when it comes to internal security of our funds from these exchanges. But its about on how strong their defense mechanism against outside attackers. I wouldn't argue to all of you who say that binance is safe and well known exchange but don't store everything there. But for small fractions, there's no need to worry.

If you plan to hold longer (for weeks or months), withdraw the coins to an address for which you control the private key.
Keep in mind that Binance is a newer exchange. Nobody knows how good their OpSec is as they're only in operation for like half a year, so better stay safe.

Maybe someone will say that it's never safe to store your cryptos on the exchange platform.
Their excuse is most of exchanges are centralized and it's possible to be hacked.
But you really think you can keep your cryptos better than exchanges, there are many ways for
you to lose your wallet files or private keys. And the possibility is much bigger than you keep your
cryptos in exchanges.
I think Binance is the NO.1 in all the exchanges,I believe in it very much!

Binance is a big trading platform in the world with full features, and good for coin trader. Moreover, it is also a trading platform with very high security, safe and low transaction costs, high liquidity. If you are the coin trader, I recommend you play on this exchanges platform. In addition, Binance also issued a private coin BNB to support the development of the Binance with cheaper exchange rates for transactions.

Cryptos store on the online purse or exchange platform is not safe at all. For most reliable, you should store it in a cold wallet by using an offline hardware wallet. If you need to trade within a day, temporary storage on Binance is an excellent choice, and for long-term archiving, it should not be because if hackers attack Binance, you will lose all the cryptos.

If you are a trader you have no option but store the coins on the exchange but if you are using the exchange as your basic wallet keep them in a wallet you have full control of!

That way it will be easier when I go to sell them and I don't have to keep paying fees for transferring them in and out. I realize that it's not normally advised, but with two-factor authentication enabled, does that change anything?

two-factor Authentication does make it difficult for your funds to be stolen from your end but if the exchange is compromised you lose out even with 2fa set, you just have to take the risk.

I can't say Online exchanges are very safe to keep it. But it is free to do. If u want more secure you have to
use private key store(wallet). But invest wallets more.

It's great exchange my favourite, but if you bought coin or token for hold, better download coin wallet to your pc and withdraw your coins from exchange for better secure!

If you trade every day, you do not have to take coins from the  exchange, but the main funds that you are going to keep for a long time, it is better to keep it in a cold purse. Do not keep large funds on the  exchange. take care of the safety of your wallet, as in the first place for the safety of your funds you are responsible

I am not sure it's a good idea to KEEP crypto's in any online exchange. Neither of them is 100% safe. If you don't trade at all and just keep, you'd better send all crypto's to dedicated wallets. By the way, some coins now are giving small % for just keeping in the wallet, for instance NEO gives GAS for free.

Binance is reputable exchanger and many user are in the exchanger till now the new user registration is closed.
With that so much thing, i can be so easy to tell you that binance is good place to store any altcoin.

I think no one know wheater its safe or not because sometime big exchanger also shut down like btce and other.
But, in recent experience, binance is very supporting and its very good exchanger to trade and store only the amount that you will use to trade.

It might be a good indication to rely on that we are on a good exchange site but doesnt really mean that they are trustable enough to store up our coins in there. Always think that every exchange do have the risk on closing or getting hacked no matter how good they are you should not really too much confident on using them acting as a main wallet for your coins. Always store them on wallets which you do have the keys it is much more safer if you do have this habit.

History may repeat itself just like patterns or trends , now that Binance is trading on a larger scale . It would be risky because hackers will try in everything they can to find loopholes in this big industry

My point exactly, Having your own wallet is putting your money in a much safer place because your the only one who can access your account. unlike in the exchange, hackers know that theirs a lot of money in that site and they will try their very best to access or hack the website in order to get the money. But it's really up to you whether or not you want to use it as a storage, as of the moment their is no trust issue against binance, I also use this as a trader.

Yes binance is a safe crypto exchange.. If u are using a 2fa in every accounts online u must keep the recovery key in a secret place just in case u lost/damage ur phone u can still access to ur accounts by downloading a new Google authenticator and put the secret key that you have.. But yeah if u just wanted to hold your coins for a one term u better have to keep them in the hardwallet.

As many people have stated, it seems safe, until its not.
Generally I just keep what I trade with on exchanges and then let my personal wallets hold the rest.

Its kind of a bad idea to leave money on exchanges and such, as if they get hacked...and they do... often... we will ultimately end up being fucked.

Better to secure your coins inside the wallet that you have the most of the control, storing coins inside the trade is not advisable if you are in the long
hold, better to use the coin wallet and store it inside your desktop or laptop, you can also buy some coins which also offer PoS so while waiting you can
earn little by little as the stake rewards will let you get some extra coins.

There are lots of e-wallets to store cryptos, so you choose an Exchange server for storage. There is no guarantee that your cryptos will not be lost when Binance is attacked by hackers. The safest is that you should choose a reputable e-wallet like Myetherwallet to store your cryptos on it, when there is a need for the exchange to transfer to Binnance.

Centralized exchanges(Binance) looks very safe as you've stated above until something goes wrong without any form of warning. Binance is very good for trading but in the aspect of storage it is advised not to keep your cryptos in exchanges. I'm afraid the news won't be able to help if anything goes wrong.

Store in wallet that we have the fully control on it is recommended.
But howif we want to trade it and store it at the same part?
I think would be better to store in reputable exchange where you can trade it and also store it for more safety.

Here are my advice to you to secure your trading account in binance.
*Use unique email addresses and password for your account and dont tell anyone your password. You can use a official password manager like Lastpass or Keepass.
*Enable 2fa
*Make sure the domain name is www.binance.com
*Don't click links and open attachments in emails.
*Subscribe to a good antivirus software and keep it up to date.
*Secure your email account and phone and use PGP on top of it. Like using a secure email provider; enabling fingerprint and passcode lock.
*Secure your computer. Don't install too much software on your computer. I recommend using a dedicated computer, install Linux on it. L, the Chrome browser, a password manager plugin and nothing else.
*Secure your internet. I recommend always using a wired connection if possible. If you have to use a WiFi, route all your traffic through a VPN.

I hope this tips may guide you to secure your accounts not only in binance but to other trading platforms.

My Pros/Cons as a Binance user:

+ Stable and usable platform despite recent huge registration increase
+ High volumes so most pairs are very liquid and very close from CoinMarketCap prices
+ Low Fees (especially if you pay fees in BNB)
+ No registration verification below 2BTC  / 24h

= UI is average

- Binance Limited registration jurisdiction is not clearly mentioned: it seems it is Shanghai and not Hong-Kong (which I see as a potential risk)
- Impossible to easily track Gain and Loss
- No PGP keys for mail exchange
- Support seems currently a bit overwhelmed

I obviously fully agree with BTCmax24 advices. No question about using 2FA or not: it is a must for any sensitive website. Btw, WinAuth can do the job nicely on a PC if you want to avoid phone or Google. Use a dedicated email to open the account (ProtonMail is quite nice with a email notification feature to warn on any incoming email).

Your account is safe but we can't tell if binance will be hacked and all funds are transferred to someone that we don't really recognize. Crypto's are our financial wealth so you don't store that much in their place but doing trades there is good but if you have coins that you have decided for long term hold then there's no use to let it stay there. Use nano ledger s for safety reasons, no matter how safe an exchange and legit is still don't trust that much.

Don't leave your money on any exchange ever.if you don't trade it better to order hardware wallet and put your coins and token into it.if you leave your token or coins in the exchange those are to not belong to you.you don't have control of your money.your 600$ may worth more than 6000$ end of this year
so go get your hardware wallet.

best hardware wallet

1.ledger nano S
2.trezor

Thanks!

There is no single exchange where your funds are 100% safe. A lot of things can go wrong there. They can get hacked/ regulated/ steal your funds and so on and so on. An authenticator won't save you from that. Therefor i suggest you to create a cold storage wallet or perhaps a hard wallet, like the ledger for example, and store your long term coin on there. To trade your coins, you have no other choice than using exchanges i am afraid. However there are some decentralised exchanges out there nowadays, like idex/etherdelta and so on. Maybe something to look into.

Enjoy your crypto adventure :)

Those who are long term investor and do not intend to use coin frequently should keep it in offline wallet or if keeping in online then some of the other safest wallets are their which will be better than binance. But if you want to trade frequently than one can keep in binance only as it is also safe as such and do not have to keep withdrawing every now and then.

If you are a short term or daily trader than it is safe to an extent as Binance in today's time is one of the reputed exchange among all the existing one's. If you have huge amount of btc or a long term investor than the offline mode is only the best rest will be a risk bet to store it in online wallet.

In cryptocurrency i think storing on exchange is susceptible from the attacks of hacker to their system while storing it on a personal wallet is at risk if you are not organize on keeping your private keys and passwords. All i can say is that we should be careful everytime.

Not only Binance, exchanges are not safe for keeping your coins. It is always better to store the coins in the offline wallet in order to be safe. I am doing the same thing, once after purchasing I will start sending to the concerned wallets in order to be safe.

Enjoy your crypto adventure :)

its verry rare for hackers to attack an online exchange not unless the exchange is poorly built or their system security is verry low, if thats the case then it could probably dangerous and your funds is always at risk  but in the case of binance i think it woudnt happen because binance is pretty solid in terms of service and popularity.

storing funds in a personal wallet is much safer than leaving your funds in an online exchange because you have the right to control it and you also hold your private keys if ever something bad could happen on that wallet , you can still recover your finds using your private key.

Binance is the largest exchange in the world!

The technical team is very good, you can safely put the digital encrypted money in the exchange's wallet!

All online wallets are not 100% safe even with the use of two-factor authentication. also you should be careful especially about sites asking for your private keys. If you need an offline wallet i recommend you download https://electrum.org/#home

It's maybe not a hack, but it is an unpleasant experience for Binance users.

How people recover their losses and time? Some insurance must exist in the crypto world and exchanges must show that goodwill for insurance implementation.

Also the VIA coin was pumped due to this reasons and few users are complaining that automatically without their consent the coins where sold etc. So just better be safe now and do not keep too much on the exchange.

i agree, exchanges arent safe at all because hackers and phisers are always planning to hack them anytime or sooner due to the fact that exchanges have a lot of money from their clients and the people who trading on them. Online exchange such as binance should only be use once or for a compulsory use only if you need to trade your coins but if not then you shoudnt ever leave your coins to them. rather only store your coins in a secure wallet like electrum or any simmilar as long as you hold your private keys.

If exchange as class as binance is not safe to store altcoin so what exchange we can use to store altcoin?
But the best choice is always putting small amount of altcoin in exchange. Dont put all altcoin in exchange because of this issue

It might be safe if you store your cryptocurrencies on binance, but it's not recommended to use a crypto exchanger as a crypto storage. Because the possibility to hack your funds in an exchange site is to high, that's why you should make or purchase a crypto wallet for your cryptocurrencies for a safer storing of your funds.

It's easy to understand these words but for someone who doesn't really have an intention to use exchange for trades only will still use it as a safe vault.

This is like me before when I'm confident with these exchanges because without any doubt they are legit, paying and does have real people but understanding the a little bit with security, private keys and storage. Exchanges aren't the safest place where you can store most of your crypto's.

You can put any amount there but make sure that it will not stay there any longer.

There is always a possibility that the exchange will be able to crack. Any exchange is subject to hacker attacks, when you open an account on the exchange, you must understand this.

Of course it's better not to store your cryptocurrencys on any exchanger. But after yesterday's hacker attack on binance i must say i trust it more than any other centralized exchanger. The attack was very smart but binance's automatic risk management system has worked pretty well. You can check more details about the attack in this summary: https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001547431.

No exchanger is safe to "store" cryptos as any third party service. You should keep your funds in your wallet, where you own private keys, if you actually don't trade. Even some exchangers don't allow in their TOS, to store funds without trading.

As you have enabled 2FA for your Binance account, so you are more secured from hacking attempt to your personal account but not for the coins that you have stored on Binance exchange,  as the exchange may be hacked and you can lose your funds. And most probably you have listened last week many Binance users complained that all their altcoins are sold automatically at market rate for BTC and some claimed that from their account automatic buying of ViaCoin with BTC occurred. The users that affected were those using API trading bots. So it is not advisable to store your crypto on an exchange unless you are a day trader. Better to store in your personal wallet & pay transfer fee which is very little instead of losing all coin due to a hacking attempt.

Rule of thumb when it comes to storing of cryptocurrencies, its always safer to keep your crypto coins in a wallet you have access of private key.

But two-factor Authentication is equally good when its applied to a wallet you have control of and Binance being a good exchange I think for the purpose of faster exchange you can store them their.

I assumes its probably

Bittrex and then binance?  Or the other way around?

And would most agree if you do this, these are probably the only 2 exchanges you should keep cryptos there?

There is no problem for storing them in the exchange but the major problem now most of the hackers are targeting mostly Binance, so it is always better to keep them in MEW instead of holding them in Binance. Of course, there are charges for it but we have no choice once it is attacked means we cannot recover our coins.

not all times storing your coins on an exchange is dangerous or risky. There were also benefits of storing your coins in an exchange, like for example when you cant oftenly monitor the market in order to trade , you can use the auto trade feauture of the exchange in ordef to trade automatically so that you can earn a profit whenever theres a specific change in the market. You can also set an automatic buy aside from automatic sell. these are the advantage of putting your funds in an exchange.many people do actually do this especially if they are too busy enough.

One important point that differentiates between a Crypto Exchange
and a Crypto Wallet that is from the service provided.
When you imagine cryptocurrency as gold,
Crypto Exchange is a gold store, where you can sell / buy gold.
While Crypto wallet you can use as a safety deposit box to store gold.
Security level of the safety deposit box can you set yourself at will,
and only you hold the key to open it without needing to rely on anyone.
The difference with gold, 'safety deposit box' Crypto can be easily stored
in the smartphone and can be taken anywhere to spend.

Although you can keep your Crypto in the temporary wallet
provided by an Exchange, but many things are not provided
it should be kept in a personal wallet.
You can not sell or buy your Crypto in your Crypto wallet,
but the Crypto wallet can provide comfort, convenience and security
extra without server - cold storage. It is rarely provided by Exchangers.

I think to save our crypto in binances is not bad idea although it is better to save in other wallet because we can directly to sell our coin if the price is increase and we don't have to spend much time to waiting. but we need to be careful to do this because there are no guarantee for us to keep safe in that site and even for other sites. but it is safe to keep our coins in binance and so far, I don't have any problem with this.

Sometimes it is good to store your coins in the exchange because when withdrawing they are charging the very high fee in terms of the coin. Some people cannot effort those rates so they want to store their coins in the exchanges, we already know by storing the coins in the exchange is always risky.

Before I always missed good pump because of the delay transaction of congested network of eth and when my coins is already in the exchange the price is already dump, this is all because my trading coins is in my wallet. So I decided to take risks and store my coins in Binance so I can easily trade it, idk but I still feel safe there even the recent fud said that Binance was hacked. But of course, I know the risks so I just store what I afford to lose.

Exchanges have made it easy for crypto investors and other people by creating wallets on their exchanges. It is a good thing, but i usually advice people to get a wallet for their coin because they will have access to the private keys for their wallets. Moreover, some exchanges can be tampered/compromised.

Before a coin can be on a exchange, I believe it will have its own wallet. It is advised that you get a wallet.

Expect that to came since every exchange have flaws although it is not been seen by the hackers right now on binance but surely they could find a ways to break the security as months pass. I'm sorry that is exactly what I inferred from your post as that was your reply to someone who asked how to find and exchange.

To clarify, my point being that it is poor practice to use links from coinmarketcap or anywhere else. I have seen people use sites and always use their links to exchanges rather than their own bookmarks which is the worst OPSEC ever. AFA how to get the bookmark in the first place, like I said type it in yourself and doublecheck that you are at the correct site. As in make sure you were not redirected, make sure you are in a Https domain and save the link as a bookmark when you create the account. Examine the email header of the registration verification as well, if it doesn't match the correct domain then find out why.

If you're Talking about Exchanges,
Then there is no better Option then BINANCE!
Although they are only good for whales or big traders!
For small traders like us it doesn't fit right!
And if you're talking about actual safety!!
then there is no better option then LOCAL WALLETS.
Not possible to hack!
And hacker wont put much effort to hack your little ammount!
So be your boss!
use own wallets!

well if you are into day trading then it sounds logical to keep funds on the exchange and binance is one of the best exchange out there. Make sure to enable 2FA with SMS or with google Authenticator to protect your account. However the best practice like most of the pro's said is an offline wallet for which you have the private keys. On the hardware side ledger nano is the best one out there.

Though binance is safe and secure but I think it is very safe and better if you store your coin in the appropriate offline wallet for the coin where you have the private key to yourself and you can be sure of the safety there than storing your coin on an exchange platform.

Binance is a very good exchange with many good features, it is reliable and secure but I do not advise you to save your coin in binance but in a wallet that is very good or a wallet that is meant for the coin and keep your private key very well and try not to forget it.

Thanks!
I'm in the same boat as you. IMO if we have the two-factor authentification on, we're safe. I'm saving for a trezor though and I think you should too! Just to be safe.

For me yes, binance has a top security feature and you also register on 2-FA which make your accounts more sure.
But for top safety it still best to store you're tokens on your personal wallets as crypto exchanges tend to hack by hackers more because of large amount rather than hacking a personal wallet account.

Do you ever heard the MT.Gox incident before? they are so good and trusted before but all of the trust has been turn off due to their bad actions and many people are still finding some ways to sue them up and retrieve what they lost for Mt.Gox events and we should make this as our basis to not fall and make them as cold storage wallet since binance is prone to anything and might have still huge chances to became a Mt.Gox 2 if their security and other means will fail out.

Binance is a reputable exchange for me as well but then when it comes to just leaving your coins there even though you have turn on your 2FA, there is still a possibility that it will be hacked so it is not safe. Storing the coins in your wallet would be the safe way especially in hardware wallet so that it will not be accessible just by anyone online.

But then, if you only have a small amount then it would be better to just leave it there because withdrawing it would be much more expensive for you. You just have to be cautious though because there are countless times when exchanges are hacked and the latest one is Bithumb. Binance was able to act accordingly though when that incident about Via being pumped and those who use API are affected so they have a good reputation.

Great discussions there guys. Before it used to be poloniex and bittrex reigning at the top and I never heard on them getting hacked. Now I have lots of coins in binance too. It is indeed hard to withdraw coins especially when you are a short time trader. I am diversifying my exchanges though to avoid higher risks.

Binance is the largest exchange. Size does two things:

1. It's so large people assume it must be safe, so they store crypto on the exchange.
2. It's so large, with people storing crypto on it that it becomes a target for hacks.

So be careful trusting it with everything! Now with its turnover I assume it can afford to keep its security top level, but alot of people would have said the same for nicehash....

I think with the value of cryptocurrencies less than $1000 on the binance exchange with two-factor Authentication is quite safe. You can buy and sell coins every day, if the value is higher and you do not buy every day, then keeping your wallet is safer.

BInance is an exchange. it is better to store your coin in the online wallet
you can control the private key, if you store your coin at exchange you do not have the private key.

Binance is indeed an exchange site but still can be used to save and make no mistake Binance security is very safe because it uses some keys including 2FA so I think saving your assets on Binance is quite safe.

I send money to exchange only to trade and withdraw.

I know you must have read from a lot of people here already, but for the umpteenth time, no exchange is safe to store your cryptos. This is because these exchanges are unregulated and they can become insolvent at time and go under and as such can go under with your coins still on their exchange. So it's always preferable to store your coins in a wallets whose private keys you have control over. Exchanges are meant for trades mostly.

A exchange is simply the place to sell and not save your money there. two-factor Authentication only ensure that your account is not attacked but it doesn' t mean that binance is not attacked by hackers. The prestige of the exchange is still uncertain 100% look at btc-e and learn from experience

Depends on amount. If it's like 0.1-1% of your portfolio - you can use even exchange for storing it.
I have a portfolio of nearly 30 cryptocurrencies and some I store at exchange (in total less than 1% of portfolio).

And yes - i have 10-15 wallets installed on my laptop to store coins not compatible with ledger.

Just to comment on reputation, and that reputation means little or next to nothing when the platform is hacked. Of course, the very best platforms have high-grade security, but you know what they say, everything is eventually hackable.

In short, even blockchain can theoretically be hacked one day, but that is not yet proven, so that is what you should trust. It is never safe to store crypto on any platform that doesn't give you SOLE OWNERSHIP of your private keys.

If you intend on making cryptocurrency a long-term engagement, learn how to use it properly. Avoid using third-party services. Control your own funds, the way crypto intended.

If you are a trader and have limited coins then binance is a good option as security wise it is considered to be better than others but yes if you are a long term or have thousands of dollar worth coin than you need to ideally store it in offline mode.

With good secure, secure and low transaction fees, plus the advantages of ultra fast transaction processing as well as high liquidity and new surfing opportunities, Binance is a good choice for you. There is a need to conduct Bitcoin and Altcoin trading to look for profits in the international cryptocurrency market. The downside to Binance's purse is that private keys are not in your control as they are stored on Binance servers. If you plan on storing long term ETH, use hard purses like Trezor or Ledger Nano S.

of course very change. because with the added authenticator you are very safe. because if someday there are people who want to break into your account. surely the authenticator will be active, and people who break into it will be very difficult to open it. indeed it is the best decision.

They are good indeed but it doesn't mean that we can trust them up for our funds since if something bad happen they can say whatever reason just to get excuse for bad incidents and either I can't trust the MEW for long term huge volume of holdings since any huge possibilities that they will be compromise also anytime soon. Read the header notice in MEW dev itself give a good warning upon using their site and maybe the best thing we need to do is to grab a hardware wallet where we can assure that our balances will be more safer since hardware wallet is close to impossible to be hack by other intruders.

you're wrong.
there are methods of hacking even 2 two-factor aunteticate by google.
and do not forget, if you do not have a private key, then these coins do not belong to you!

In my opinion, I believe the best place to save your cryptonis in the appropriate wallet because there you will be able to monitor the token as you are in charge of your private key other than on an exchange, even if you most do this, I think you should diversify and not keep all in one place for safety reasons.

Not completely safe tho because even the two factor authentication also can be bypassed by the hackers so if you want your cryptos to be safe then it needs to be in a wallet where we have private keys to access the wallets.Biance is very good tho but we have to remember that lot of good exchanges are also hacked in the last year so be careful about this time.

As far as i know, only etherdelta is the most safest of all exchange, but i suggest you to save and put your money in a wallet so that it will be kept because you cannot rely on any exchange in keeping your coins.

I doubt that etherdelta, is the most safest of all exchange. Instead, etherdelta is the most dangerous decentralized platform exchange compare to other platform. Because giving or importing your private key  to this platform is the most dangerous things for the traders if you are going to use this one which is etherdelta. Besides, Etherdelta has already a bad record before in terms of the issues of hacking the account of the wallet of their users. So, for me I think binance is safe as long as you activate your 2FA and pass the KYC too.

Storing in exchanges even how trusted they are not good. It can be only if few crypto and you watch it and used it for trading everyday, if you left it there untouched and not being active, you'll soon surprised it was gone.

The chances you will get hacked is very, very small.

Going to hard wallet means decreasing the chances of getting hacked from 0.01% to 0.001%

nonetheless, it's still 'possible', and a hardware wallet is always safer.
Absolutely true, there were reputed exchanges yet this exchanges does not guarantee you that your funds are 100% safe since you don't have the full control and have to depend on tge third trusted party. Hardware or closed source wallet is still the best to choose, currently I'm am trying HODLER since they have a very good project. This wallet is tge only opensource multi wallet available, and this gives users the full control over their funds and private key right after their hand unlike exchanges which doest provide key

Binance is a reputable and popular exchange, but it does not guarantee that your funds are safe even if you enabled two-factor authentication because if hacker hacked the whole system i think hacker can do what he want, he can control everything. Maybe better to store your coins in your own wallet and dont give your private key to anyone. Better to be safe than sorry.

the level of security of binance exchange depends on the trading user itself,
I linked the headphone number where each login sends a verification code to be able to login in a binance account,
to date the $ 5000 asset is safe.

storing the coin dibinance will invite risk. in my opinion, it's very unsafe for you. you should prepare a special wallet to save the assets you have. do not save finance because it is not safe.
