Title: high bitcoin fee!!
Post by: kuronokishi10 on December 30, 2017, 12:56:51 PM
when will the bitcoin fee be reduced or moderated?
i mean that even if the bitcoin value rises or falls the fee is constant in bitcoin ,unlike in ethereum where the fee is fixed not in eth but a particular USD value.
when will this improvisation take place in bitcoin?

in this there is another plus. regardless of the price, the amount of the transaction is unchanged. Imagine you are transferring a large amount and how much will you pay with it - a lot? I do not think it's good, especially for those who use bitcoin as a means of payment. ethereum serves entirely for other purposes.

Don't wait for this. Use Altcoins and exchanges.

I don't think we can see this soon, fees are higher everyday and people started to be frustrated. I think this is why Bitcoin price is dumping and Ethereum price is stabilized for now.

The reason why people go for alternative coins is that of this high amount of transaction fee, imagine the transaction fee is higher than the amount you're about to send, which is unlike alt coins which only costs for only a reasonable amount. If this keeps up, I will no longer why many people abandon bitcoin.

it will eventually happen. people will either stop using bitcoin so the fees will come down or the spam attack finally stops and fees come down.
in the long term we will have a real scaling solution too which will mean fees will come down. but it takes time to implement things like LN.

so far as i know ETH fee is exactly the same as bitcoin and it goes up with price and also goes up ridiculously faster than bitcoin when there is a clog in the network from ICO transactions or just some smart contract using ETH network to make transactions.

People keep talking about how the lightning network will solve all of these problems, but I'm doubtful. No one can reliably say when the lightning network will be implemented, and I'm not keeping my hopes up that this problem will be solved soon. I hate to say it, but I've come to accept it as a fact.

Slowly the market cap of Bitcoin will swtich from the the Bitcoin to the alts. That's gonna be a great moment for the crypto world, when poor become rich and reach become a little poorer.

No matter what you Trade here in the cryptocurrency world, you are still going to end in bitcoin, because you are going to trade your altcoins into bitcoin for you to have fiat after you convert your bitcoins. We couldn't do anything about this high fee since the price of bitcoin is getting high and high everyday, that is why the miners are taking this as an advantage to earn more because of the rapid increase of bitcoin demands.

This is where the use of alts comes in. Bitcoin is getting unusable because of the slow transaction and it is not nice for us bitcoin users. We cannot do anything other than change it into another alt with a faster network, a faster transaction confirmation. But it is completely hassle but we have no other choice.

The heavy traffic at the blockchain needs to be cleaned first.
This happened before and that is the solution too. They increase the fees so that they can minimize the transaction that will be done.
I think the faucet payer was the culprit because of low payments that directs to the wallets of faucet workers.
If that is cleared then it will be back to normal. For now use the pools.

As far as people said the mining fee is high and most are mining that has greater fees so our transaction will stuck if the fee is lower. I don't know much about these things, but you should use Ethereum or Litecoin that is much better and faster transaction.

High fees of bitcoin transactions is making some company not to pay with btc for any services they are asking for.
This problem now is just the effect of bitcoin price hike in the previous months, and it could only be lessen once bitcoin will go back into below $10k maybe. So they decided to used eth instead of btc for it only have a low fees.

I have seen this discussion a lot in this forum, and I have never found a solution. your opinion is true, the payment of a tap using a small fee will only increase the number of unconfirmed bitcoin transactions. this should be resolved soon, as many bitcoin communities are troubled by this problem.

indeed the fee fee for bitcoin is very high and it can not be prevented because the value of Bitcoin also creeps up to a very high price
and maybe in the future there is a new solution to the problem of this fee can be overcome and not burdensome for new players like me this

I think the fee depends on bitcoin price, so don't be shocked when it increases because bitcoin price is crazily increasing and decreasing fast. Bitcoin transaction fee is really a bother especially if you are just transferring a small amount of money.

Come on people wake up will you now

BTC has too many miners, 20,000 in all and they all want cream from the cake and are locking us in because
we now have a banker monopoly of ten big names doing 90% of all mining and you can see this from the cart below.

https://blockchain.info/pools

The network will work just as slow as it does now (7 transactions per second) if the number of miners were
reduced to 200 and mining would work just as it does today except less electrical energy would be wasted
and the CPU power could be put to better use elsewhere

Now lets deal with the a knight in shining armor saving your skin called the "lightning Network" (LN) and
with a slight name change from LN-Hubs to bankers and centralization we arrive at something much like
the Ripple protocol and what they call "Gatways"

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g if you don't understand what LN really is all about.

The banksters have you by the balls, they own the miners and the development team or else they
would have added the code show below to the project in Github and the glut of miners would thin down
and we would get back to a fair balance

Public static money MaxFee=1.50 // Goodbye parasites we don't need this many miners

Various sites takes different fees. There are some wallets that cost less, and there are some things where the fee is too much tie. As you can freebitco withdraw very low bucks from this site. If you use coinbase again, the address will cost more to pay.

It really confusing why we have a high fees at this time. Maybe because a lot of people give some additional transactions fees in order to priorities their transaction and it triggered to make increase transaction fees.

I am not going to try to answer or pretend to know why this transaction fees are so high. If it was my logic i would think the fee costs should come down. Then again when the fees was 0.0005 bitcoin but the price of bitcoin was like $500.00 then no one really cared then. The issue nowadays is the fact that the same .0005 transaction fee is alot worth morr at $15,000.00. I think alt coins will enjoy this moment for now before bitcoin fixes this issues that are plaguing us currently.

I think the fee is reasonable as long as the fee does not change in the bitcoin count that has been determined since the bitcoin price is still cheap.
in my country the Bitcoin shipping fee was 0.0005 BTC since the bitcoin price is still 200 $ and I feel the fee is now only reasonable and remains as early as 0.0005 BTC

the fee will probably become less once the unconfirmed transaction go to normal like 10k unconfirmed transaction thats where i find the transaction fee cheap. it will take some time to make the unconfirmed transaction go to 10k or something. you can use poloniex as a btc wallet to avoid high fee you only need to pay 50k satoshis.

Yes,ETH transaction fee is very small i think because a lot of days i deposit in many exchange with low fee.But BTC fee is undesired and day by day transaction fee is rapidly increasing.

ETH is much less congested. That's why. It has the same model of fee pricing as bitcoin, the difference is it has a greater capacity currently. Let's see whether Lightning Network will be able to change it!

We have been scammed and the developers have allowed ten big mining pools to take over that now
conduct 90% of all transactions and it has become a monopoly that's ripping us off in fees because they
forgot to a one line of code

public static money MaxFees=1.50 // 20,000 miners when all we need is 1,000 DOES NOT WORK

Maybe miners forgot that without clients that they will be left paying for the CPU war from there own pockets
because we are tired of slow speeds and high fess and I have little faith in LN if the developers forgot to add
this one vital line of code shown above.

Currently, bitcoin fees are still low. Investors peace of mind to engage in business transactions and investments in the cryptocurreny market. In the future, the growing cryptocurrency market will mean that bitcoin prices will rise and bitcoin fees will rise. But I think the bitcoin fee increase will be negligible compared to the profits that bitcoin gives to investors.

today it seems that many small traders and small investors complain that the cost of bitcoin is very expensive, but that big traders or investors do not complain about the cost of bitcoin which is very expensive for example compared to Ethereum, the most important is probably because its security is trusted for investors to keep using bitcoin.

Then use ethereum no one forcing you to use bitcoin so stop acting as theres no other option

High fee transaction growth and same time slower transaction happens last December of the year 2017 because of congestion, theres so many withdrawal and deposits happening togethen every seconds thats why we had experience such, but conparing this days you might find that its better and best

Compared to other currency bitcoin’s price is much higher than all of them, so thus the transaction fee too. Its just an compensation from the transaction and volume of bitcoins you are dealing with. Bitcoin is tax-free so it is just right to pay high but reasonable.

If you go out with pick and shovel and dig for gold and find some, what do you do with it? You trade it in for cash, or you keep it and dig for more.

What did you get for your gold when you sold it? Cash, right?

Lots of people have prospected for gold and never found any. They weren't forced into it. They simply thought that they could make it. But they didn't. They lost their investment.

Those who found gold and traded it in for cash, did they get a miner's fee? Or did they simply trade the gold in for cash?

The Bitcoin miner's fee is BS. If you get your rigs together and mine for Bitcoin, you either find some or you don't. If you don't, you sell your rigs, take the loss, and get out of it. If you find some, you either hodl it or you sell it at the going rate. If you sell, your earnings are the fiat (etc.) that you get for it. Period.

If all the miners hodl, because there is no miner's fee to tempt them to sell, the price of Bitcoin goes down, because nobody else has bitcoins, and who would want some of it if it can't be used because so few people have it? So, some of the miners sell, just to get back some of the money they put into their operation.

Miner's fees are simply a thing to screw up the Bitcoin system like derivatives screw up the fiat money Ponzi. They aren't needed. They are messing everything up. They are giving miners an opportunity to control the whole show in a funny way that doesn't have anything to do with making Bitcoin into a currency.

Let the thing be simple. For the simple person who uses Bitcoin, the miner's fees are a method to tax people on using bitcoin, and that is it. Why tax it, when the miners get cash for the bitcoins they sell just like gold prospectors get cash for the gold they sell. They already have their money.

Miner's fees are BS.

The LN is so complex, and has so many disadvantages for users, that if it is ever corrected, it will work a lot better with (at least, some) altcoins than it will with Bitcoin.

Lightning network isnt fully implemented yet maybe in the future the fee is almost non existent if we use LN. people can just go create a segwit wallet to save fees while merchant migrate to LN.

The problem with Lightening is, when anybody closes out his network, he breaks up the whole group of Bitcoiners who operated through him. If the fee were his every time his network was used, he would have incentive to not close out his network. The problem is that when there are a lot of inter-joined networks, who gets the miner's fee, and how is it split up? And what is to keep a network "owner" from shutting down his network, anyway, and inconveniencing everyone?

By the time these points are figured out, the LN scripting will be so large, and the interconnections so scrambled, that nobody will be able to run the client on his computer, and centralization (the thing we are trying to avoid) will be back. Get rid of the stupid miner's fees, and go back to charging a simple fee for running your own exchange operation, where everything is easy and as transparent as anybody can make it.

Dont compare bitcoin to ethereum because they have different platforms and different function to this forum, bitcoin is the most used platform as all coins need to go through its platform before being converted into fiats, thats why whenever the sites congested the fee will increase and the transaction will slower but if the Lightning network is done, this will change to better and goodness

The transaction costs of Ethereum and Bitcoin are also quite different. In Ethereum, they call it "gas" - the cost of the transaction depends on their storage needs, complexity and bandwidth. Also in Bitcoin, the transactions are limited in each block size and equal to each other.

There is different between the fees on bitcoin and ethereum in every transactions. Sometimes, fees depends on how much the system you are using to process the transactions. The fees depend on how much you do not want to stuck on traffic and you want much faster response and transfer of your transactions. It is the reason why there is high fee because some people do not want traffic.

different with ETH. If the gas price of eth is high, it means the network of eth is congesting, many transactions being processed.

Bitcoin fee means the transaction fee which occur when some one transfer bitcoin. And the transaction fee is the charge taken by the miners in order to complete an transaction. And the transaction fee mainly depend upon the block size of bitcoin. Block size directly proposal to the transaction fee. Small block size charge more transactions while large block size reduce transaction fee. Many people use bitcoin money transaction facility and because of this the transaction traffic increases and this thing cause increase in transaction fee.

Title: Re: high bitcoin fee!!

Bitcoin's first impression should be expensive, because Bitcoin's own technical limitations combined with huge transaction volume, resulting in a very slow transfer rate, you have to pay a high fee to get paid in time. However, this situation has started to improve since December last year, and bitcoin transaction costs have dropped from the $34 all the way to an 18-month low.

However, although the bitcoin transaction fee has dropped significantly, the transaction volume has also been greatly reduced. The reasons may be:
First, people are shifting to cheaper BTC alternatives; second, the buying boom in the digital currency market has cooled.

Unlike traditional financial institutions, which charge different rates for each transaction, Bitcoin fees are completely independent of the amount of money you are sending. As a result, the $ 5 shipping fee for Bitcoin may be the equivalent of $ 5,000. Fees are usually not in USD, nor in BTC. Instead, it is determined based on the amount of Satoshi on a data byte, abbreviated as sat / b. Hence, instead of paying for each bitcoin you send, you will pay for the amount of data in a block. Your transaction is taking place. Each standard transaction is usually 226 bytes in size, so your transaction confirmation time will depend on the amount of money you send.

Unlike conventional traditional charging methods. Bitcoin fees don't depend on the amount you send. Instead of having to pay for every bitcoin you send, you only pay for the amount of data in each of your transaction blocks and they are measured by the "satoshis / byte data".

Bitcoin fees are coming down now compare to a year ago. I think it is because of the price of the coin. The fees must be  right to support mining of bitcoin and also to make sure that the transaction is completed. The process is highly technical and adequate fee must be set to take care of the system of payment. Those arguing that bitcoin fees are high they can try using Ether the fees are still almost same as that of bitcoin. But bitcoin remains the leading crypto so do not mind the fees.

yeah transaction fees is increasing slightly because the price also increasing. if you feel high fees in btc lets you can go for altcoins.
The fee who increase is when the bitcoin is very high also your right. I remembered my highest fee is more than 20 dollars each transaction and now fee of the bitcoin is still good and very low fee now is only cents and it is still maintain in the last few months.

Commissions for cryptocurrency transactions should be abolished. It is this side of the cryptocurrency that attracts the community so much.

Bitcoin rates are not that high, but if Bitcoin rates increase, there are alternatives like altcoins

If you couldn't afford the fee then use alt-coin,
Bitcoin fee is to high and that is the reason why other people choose to use alt-coin.

when will the bitcoin fee be reduced or moderated?
i mean that even if the bitcoin value rises or falls the fee is constant in bitcoin ,unlike in ethereum where the fee is fixed not in eth but a particular USD value.
when will this improvisation take place in bitcoin?
Mate there are many option to be used if you do not want the high fees, there are an altcoin and exchanged offers lower fees fpr every transactions. Do not wait for the btc fees fall because i think it wont happen specially there is a big dump of the value.

high bitcoin fee has been a pain for traders for a long time with exchangers making profit form high fees which they continuously charge. I do hope this issue will be resolved as soon as possible to make cryptocurrency and bitcoin trading a lot easier.

it must be because the influence of the dollar continues to soar compared to what we previously could not see from day to day because the influence must be very high.

Bitcoin fees depend on 3 categories i know via some reference.
Three Classification-
1. 3 Blocks Fees: Your transaction mined within 10 minutes.
2. 6 Blocks Fees. Your transaction mined 30 minutes.
3. Next Blocks Fees: Your transaction mined 60 minutes.

Bitcoin prices are increasing, of course many are waiting for it. but if indeed we cannot afford the high enough bitcoin price, it is better to buy a smaller and lighter altcoin. so don't force your will if you can't.

bro, if you object to the fees charged by bitcoin, now imagine if you send money with FIAT through a complicated bank, do you still say if the transaction fee from bitcoin is expensive?

actually you can use another alternative for payment or maybe send money to someone else, by exchanging it for Altcoin, and my solution is doge coin which I think is the cheapest fee compared to other altcoins

If bitcoin has a high price with low transaction costs, I think it would be detrimental to miners who help in the transaction because they take profit from the transa (http://rumahmu.com)ction costs, if you don't pay attention to the miners who need profits from the transaction costs then they will lose so it's natural that it has expensive transaction costs because its price is expensive too. If you look at altcoin the transaction cost is so cheap because the price of altcoins is still cheaper than bitcoin.

I believe that the fee has a quite acceptable state, is a bit less than $1 in any type of transaction, remember that this is part of the incentive to keep the miners mining, in such a case is more likely to rise, because the fewer blocks remain, less btc will be given to the miners and they will have to make their profit with the fees.

That's what hurt most of the crypto traders especially when the bitcoin fee is already high. It is alright to have a high bitcoin fee if it is only an option if you wanted to have your transaction processed as fast as lightning.
I rate it still reasonable to note that the process is fast, because of the relative cost factor and depends on the bitcoin exchange policy. Bitcoin traders certainly want profits, on the other hand bitcoin owners who make transactions want the process to be done quickly.

I think this is one factor too, bitcoin users are decreasing until the price becomes a continuous declining on the price until many people move to altcoin. Well, but in my opinion.. this will improving and not always be like this.

i think the bitcoin fee should be synonymous with the market price of btc at that moment. But reverse seems to be the case as we have experience in the past and even present where large sum of transactions fees are charged. We hope to see change to this effect in the near future.

Bitcoin has become so popular in today's time. People are using bitcoin in small transactions. Due to which Bitcoin's fees have changed.

This would probably take a lot of study. We know for a fact that fees goes to miners also and if transactions could be lesser I think it will affect miners especially if computations could become complicated. It could use up a lot of electricity and therefore could create loses on the part of the miner. I don't have idea though how much did they earn from it. I just heard about some feedbacks on this.

I do not think so, but it has the truth, Altcoins are gaining advantage over bitcoin here. The price for bitcoin and if it is on the rise and if it is falling, the fee is very high and it is not expensive to anyone, while the other currencies are easy to fight against, I do not know how to do it.
Mining is more expensive and if you do not take account of transactions, it's easy to lose money

The commission is constant because the number of transactions does not decrease.
I think this is one of the main problems at the moment.
And we have several ways to solve this problem. But at the moment it takes time. Use altcoins for small transactions for now. And yes. ETH has the same problem.

I think that this will be taken into account in the further development of bitcoin. On the one hand, it is good when you send a large amount, but when you send a small amount, the payment for the transaction may be too high. So it all depends on the situation.

Title: Re: high bitcoin fee!!
Post by: mich on January 17, 2019, 02:10:04 AM
Just lower the transaction cost and sit back and just wait for the BTC to be send.
Unless you are in immediate hurry to send the BTC, there is no reason say you want to spend more then need.
It might sound like a good idea at first but I want to pay a few cents not a few dollars cause overall overtime it will begin to add up!

I think there Is nothing that can be done concerning that bitcoin fee price can't be change because that how they create the system. The design programme for Ethereum is different from bitcoin that why they don't have the same fee.

that's different from the fluctuating value of bitcoin. all countries try to refuse, but they take bitcoin technology and they make the latest brands, which essentially imitate btc, it only affects market value.

Thats what I do, I know that transactions using bitcoin are much more expensive and slower, I don't condemn it,
I just want improvement on this. besides that I use other altcoins for transactions because it is cheaper in fees and faster

I think in some places, you can set how much you need to spend. but, because of so many transactions, of course you know the risks of that. the lower you pay a fee, the longer your transaction will be processed. well, and vice versa, when you pay a high fee, chances are the transaction will be faster.

Yeah I feel it too because I am converting my fiat money to bitcoin and the exchange make a deduction of about 5% of it and that is huge already. As we all know that these exchanges will going to make another transaction fee when you convert your bitcoin or any crypto to fiat money. This is my problem because only one local exchange I know here in our country.

Talking about higher fee by using bitcoin as transaction I think is not fair, bitcoin have counted about fee by transaction under 0.00005 btc and have pass more than four years and depend how bitcoin price next time, when bitcoin on higher price maybe is high, but when lower its will be cheap.

More than last three years I saw fee transaction for sending bitcoin to other address always the same with amount 0.0005 btc, based on your opinion talk about high bitcoin fee is not true, when bitcoin already at higher price maybe we pay with the same amount but only have higher value because bitcoin is growing up, but when bitcoin is lower price we pay with the same too and lower of fee because lower price of bitcoin.

I think this is not a minus at all. In some cases, when the price of Bitcoin changes, this is a plus. Besides, why are you comparing bitcoin and ethereum?
I don’t think that bitcoin changes and becomes similar to ethereum.

I agree. The transaction fee depends on the price of bitcoin on the market. Though sometimes it is not fair, you better transact amount that is cover of the transaction fee if it is not fixed. Sometimes when the price already down, transaction is higher because it is not change easily on exchange. When transaction fee is lower than required, it makes long time process than usual.
