In my opinion bitcoin will rise up to $22000. 

May be may be not. But the history says that it always drop in mid of jan.

No one knows, but all I know that its price will rise up more than its All time high. So, let us just wait for it to happen, and of course it will happen!

I think this month of january bitcoin will rise maybe it will hit to $20k. Bitcoin price surely will go up high again so I choose this month to hold btc. I have high believes on bitcoin that will soaring high so let's see and watch the market.

I think January will fluctuate slightly on the basis of current prices. The traditional January is the month of consumption. In the first month of the general new year, every country will introduce some monetary policies, which are relatively conservative in this period. I think there will be a big increase in the number of digital currencies in the 2-3 month of this year.

I believe bitcoin  will rise up to $21000, probably now it is  correction mode need to wait end of January 2018, it may rise from there  onwards , people may be on vacation now , further investment is expected for bitcoins. hope the bitcoin will bring us more profit for the investors . year 2018 is the great year for bitcoin.

Could be yes and no. Even for Bitcoin who ranked number one in the world of cryptocurrency. Because the price of Bitcoin does not always go up and up in time constantly. Maybe it could be Bitcoin going up in the middle of the year. Because in January this time for Altcoin show off.

I think bitcoin price will rise in january end. Initially it will show some stability and marginal up and down, but with end of january, most probably we can see a rise in bitcoins value and its price spike.
Demand and supply law very well works in case of bitcoin aswell. Because of holidays, the demand of bitcoin was quite low because people were selling off their coins. This most likely wont be the scene in coming days. The deman shall rise again when people will start buying, or rather re-holding their bitcoins which in turn will create a demand and thus value shall rise.

just because it has happened once it doesn't mean it will happen again. right now we are all in uncharted waters so you can't really use anything from the past to speculate the near future.
besides the price has already fallen enough, if anything it should rise throughout January.

It will not. It is currently going down because of some bank cases and cryptocurrency is banned among other countries. With this type of decrease in demand, it is nearly impossible for this time that bitcoin will reach 22000 USD.

Its hard to predict if it will rise up or not. Some critics said that in the end of January, bitcoin will move up because bitcoin people are now investing again. Due to the recent dumped of bitcoin price, probably it will recover at the end of January.

We're just in the beginning of January, too early to say that btc will rise. The only clear thing for now is btc remain stucked around the $14000 mark, this is not a good sign at all but I'm not losing hope that one time, this drop will come to an end.

There are high chances for the bitcoins to surpass above $ 20000 in the near future, the value of bitcoins has surpassed $ 18000 in dec 17th 2017, but now there is a dip in the market and has reached $ 13000 which is quite normal in the crypto and stock markets. Bitcoin market always rises with a huge leap in the crypto market which is more evident from previous years bitcoin pricing strategy, so it is better to invest now for a good leap is about to happen which a good increase in the price of bitcoins.

i think bitcoin will have the oppotunity to rise in this first month of the year, bitcoin is still waiting for a big bump from big whales, they still dont have any move with bitcoin, so as a small investors we should wait a little bit longer to see will bitcoin rise in this month.

Lol. And you base this on what exactly? Please don't tell us why you think this will happen. I really don't see any reason why it would rise this month unless something unexpected happens. In fact, I think it's more likely to keep falling than rise as the excitement continues to dwindle.

it's hard to know whether january bitcoin prices go up or down but in my opinion, bitcoin will stabilize this month as investors are still vacationing.  ;D 8)

i hope so because as of now it ramained low...as what i am feeling now is a little bit sad but still hopeful that it will rise again

In my opinion, bitcoin will rise again in January, because by the end of 2017 the decline of bitcoin due to the holiday season, then in January 2018 bitcoin will rise again.

I think we'll see the price correction so many people were predicting at the end of last year. I think we'll see it hit below $8000 and then steadily rise up again towards the end of the year. Sudden rises aren't good for the market.

I think in middle of january the price will start the rise up.

Everything is possible to happen. But as you say we can not predict exactly what happened. According to my current vision then Crypto world is on the rise and has a high popularity. one of which is Bitcoin, I'm pretty sure there will be an increase due to the impact of more and more demand for Bitcoin. As we all know that the demand factor becomes one of the major boosters of Bitcoin price increases and this is one positive thing that can make things better. 22,000$ is a price that really looks very high, but we all know that Bitcoin always gives an unexpected surprise.

Bitcoin would definitely rise in the in January 2018. However, I doubt if it will rise up to $22,000 in January 2018. This could be possible around March 2018. I also think that this is the best time to invest in bitcoin.

On my own point of view their is a big possibility that bitcoin will rise again in the 2nd or 3rd week of january.But it is only my prediction but all we need to do is to just wait for its value to rise and dont do rush selling if you want to earn more profit so its better to wait now and just keep on earning.

There's no fundamentals seen yet to support the speculation about how Bitcoin price could move up to 20k usd or so. Speculation are just a speculation, I would just wait for now . Not to make a buy limit or sell limit . Just monitoring the market closely, bitcoin indeed would always rising, but there is a high risk behind.

Since bitcoin is fluctuating, I am hoping that it will rise in this month and the following months. I hope I am investing my time here in BTC in the right time.

We can all hope that bitcoin will reach that mark. A lot of people
who patronize and support bitcoins will be elated and would
benefit a lot from such an event. Hopefully once it starts to
increase, bitcoin will somehow stabilize. But then again it is
hard to predict btc's route since it's been widely speculated
that it will go down this month as it has been in the past.
If not on January maybe after a few months btc will surprise
us all since this is a promising year for bitcoin and with
altcoins as well.

there is a strong chances that bitcoin price will rise again in January 2018 according to some predictions it will move up to 20k lets hope for the best but always be wise and research well when you are investing in bitcoin.

I hope it will usually January is not always a good month for Bitcoin but hopefully 2018 will change that, last year Bitcoin has to reach a lot of  mileage may 2018 is another great year for Bitcoin not only 22k but 30k as well, many will rejoice once it reaches that level.

well we all hope the price will rise again but at the moment seems kinda stable around 12/13k, January has always been a slow month for BTC, i'm at the window waiting to see what will happen in 2018 :)

No one really knows what will happen to bitcoin, all we can give is prediction from the current trend of bitcoin value. However, I am optimistic that same from 2017 btc will also be successful for 2018 and the next years to come.

A lot of hope here and there of expectation of intended and perceived right price for bitcoin by the end of January and we are moving to that end gradually today being the second day. What I am yet to see is we asking ourselves what are we going to do differently to push the price to that our preferred level. A prices are just mere wishes if not backed by action because price increase is not magic that someone somewhere just decide to tune the price to certain position as he so wishes but by the collective actions of some set of people.

A lot of time, we just want to put money in bitcoin or acquire some, then sleep waiting for it to increase and saying the cabals, the whales, or Roger Ver caused the whole thing without even lifting a finger.

But 2017 was a very special Year. I think in 2018 it is going to be stable. I can´t believe that it will raise the same as it did last year.

After a good correction it may rise again. Maybe we can see some more down spears that will hit 11.9k level. We can follow that double bottom support level. Under 11.9k price we will talk different scenarios.

No one will give you an exact answer. But I think that the price of bitcoin will return to 20k.

Many hoping for the comeback of bitcoin price in the market after its terrible decrease. Lots of people might loss hope in this event ( and one of those is me, so sad). Currently the price is on the small rise again and that shows good tendencies but still that doesn't have to mean continuous growth for the next period.
Maybe if there will be no further disturbances like another fork and people will cash out bitcoins in some smaller range then the price would might be on the way up again. No matter to that I expect to reach 20000$ this year.

It may or it may not. I can't say that with the rate of BTC today it won't go up to $22k in just a few weeks because weeks ago I was surprised that from $8k it went to $12k up to almost $20k. I believe that Bitcoin will rise again if there will be more demands from people who are beginning to learn about Bitcoin.

Hopefully it will rise. We are waiting for the perfect moment for bitcoin to rise again in order for us to sell it. It is the time of new beginning and a good way to start investment so why not? I think Bitcoin will not increase in January as most of the big investors are concentrating a lot of altcoin. Bitcoin prices should be higher now as Bitcoin prices may soon reach $ 30,000 in February

I hope so but no one knows if the bitcoin price will rise just like it was at US$ 20,000 level.  People were having a good profit from that price, I was one of those.  We will just wait and see how it will unfold in the next few days or weeks or months.

I agree with ShadowBits! It may be experiencing a decline now but sooner or later, I believe that Bitcoin will rise and gain its momentum to reach an all time high rate. I also think that the holidays had an effect towards its rate. With the season coming to an end, hopefully Bitcoin will start recovering. We just have to keep our faith and be patient. It may be unpredictable, but it will be all worth it.

I believe that bitcoin will start to rise this month and some speculations will be broken for sure if bitcoin will rise more than they expected. I think yes. Its price is decreasing at the end of the year. Because many sell a bitcoin worry for Tet. I think its price will soon return in January. Many will continue to buy it and its price will increase.

Its still not clear why btc has gone to such a low trend since past month. I think its merely because it reached to such heights in past few months. The dominance has fallen to all time low. Can't say when will this situation improve.

I am a bit scared by the possibility of a bear market. After the spectacular rise of NTC in 2013, january 2014 marked the beginning of a bear market. Hopefully history won't repeat now.

I think bitcoin price will increase up to $20000 the end of January. It's my opinion... I'm new in this world, But I hope that.

No doubt that bitcoin will increase by value but in this month , I Doubts much because recently bitcoin jumped much to its price to about 20000$ and that was really big price for us to have bitcoin in the field of cryptocurrency where we have option to invest in cryptocurrency ( other then bitcoin ) , but still investment in bitcoin goes big .
Here in my experience the price of bitcoin will rise by 100-200$ maximum in this month and after that it will remain constant for 2 to 3 months , and after that it will take fly , here another factors are here about to bitcoin's price to rise ( here I can't mention , Because thinking to create a post specially separate ) .

Actually Bitcoin can rise at any moment, bitcoin can rise at anytime because of its popularity, bitcoin can be unstable, and that is why I'm sure that bitcoin could rise before january ends.

Mostly, the drop bought it down and it's been there for quite some time now, so it's a good time to buy some btc. It will cross 15 k definitely by the first 2 weeks of January land then it's up to the market conditions to decide whether it will skyrocket again or eventually gradually grow.

I do have some small bitcoin chunk in a wallet somewhere and really don't want to sell because I believe the price of Bitcoin will definitely go up again this January. I had withdrawn earlier from a lending site to my bitcoin wallet when the price suddenly fell. A friend spoke with me yesterday about the price doing a come back from where it is as at today. I am very optimistic about the price rise again much more now that the festive periods are over. We can start seeing this from next week because market tradings resumes fully and should be in its good start.

Hopefully it will be as everyone are expecting to happen after it's crisis. Although, it won't back faster but still it will be significantly affect the trust and confidence of the people towards bitcoin. Not sure about January, but the next big movement is going to occur in mid-2018, when the futures listing in NASDAQ is going to happen. But in January I am expecting a steep correction for the alts such as Ripple and Ethereum, as they have gone up by a great deal during the past few days. This can result in the BTC rising by at least 5% to 10%.

There is no certainty as to the outcome of bitcoin rising this January. It can only be assumed and anticipated that it would rise considering the outcome of the previous months. But in my own opinion, I still believe in the bullish direction of the currency.

I'm not sure for this month, I think february will go back up.
I am more interested in holding ETH I am sure he will touch 0.1 BTC back.

totally agree with you bro. the previuos years bitcoin always went down on December but as i remember, raised again on February. i now prefer to hold eth than btc as i believe that it will make a new all time high.

I think there will be a decline first since it is in the process of restoring a more stable value. We can give like two months for the correction period of BTC. However, this year just like the trend for the past years BTC will surely increase its value.

It is already doing it.. The price was less than $13,500 when the year started, and we are now upto $14,200 at the moment, it is not a huge increase, but it will keep going up for a while.
Maybe it will be $15,000 - $17,000 by the end of January

Then we just hope history doesn't repeat itself ;)

For january i think, it will be difficult for the bitcoin to reach it's previous high. But later this year, it can rise much beyond it's previous high value.

BTC will surely have a rise in value in January 2018.
It is difficult to predict how much the BTC value will be, but my forecast is that it will be between 18k and 22k.
In the upcoming period, this value will be significantly higher, but for now I do not think there will be such big jumps.

I think we should wait for the right era to teach to them nearly bitcoin because teaching it to them at teenager age or minds would be complecated for them but anyhow they wouldakillful to cope up by now stirring we are already around a high techonlogy period. Showing them videos a propos bitcoin is the most full of zip for me.

If yesterday, January 1, the bitcoin rate was slightly more than 13 100 dollars, today it is, according to CoinMarketCap, $ 14,817. This kind of behavior is encouraging that bitcoin may soon begin to grow and this time will significantly exceed the $ 20,000 mark. I had no doubts in my own head that Bitcoin after the great year it had in 2017 was going to fall back a little, as it did in December. It never concerned me much as I knew it was only the day traders taking profits and those with little bottle chickening out. I think there is a lot of money just sat on the sidelines now waiting for a bottom to buy back in or for the first time, a dangerous game in my opinion. I think for a week now we seemed to have reached a floor which could last days, weeks or even months(unlikely). I think the next Bull run is going to be just like the rest and come totally unexpected, as I type this I can see a sudden 10% increase.

I should be going back to its upward trend. Btc will start its jumpstart for this month of January, it is so ideal to start with good investment now.

It is not impossible to reach $22k. The whales are getting back and buying large volumes. Probably, there will still be more of bitcoin's signature volatility within this month, but the correction that happened the past few weeks due to the holiday season should be enough for bitcoin's value to rise and shine again. I am hoping for the best to come for bitcoin this 2018.

The liquidity of bitcoin is where the traders  make their money. Bitcoin will rise and fall making new highs there after there will be a retrace. It will definitely rise again.

There's alot of impatient short-term investors in BTC right now. If we don't see any sudden spike and/or major positive news/hype, these investors will leave BTC for fiat and stabilize at anything between 1K and 7K. But if we suddenly see sudden pumps and/or major positive news/hype, it could go as far as 20K within the next couple of months. Due to the extremely volatile market and so many new investors it's impossible to say.

We can not afford the amount of bitcoin or less, the month of january is not stable, it's like I'm going to increase it and sometimes it's low. I believe going into Christmas and holiday period, many people want to get out of the market to relax more and forget about the extreme volatility and random panick attacks that come with investing in crypto.

I think there is a lot of money out there right now waiting and wanting Bitcoin to go lower before buying in. I was expecting a bigger over due  bear run, but it just keeps fighting back. Reason of drop is not bannings. Even when there were bad news from China, it didn't effect the market as you all witnessed.

The reason for the drop because it was the end of the year. If you see the price graph historically you will see that every end of the year happens the same thing. I expect that in a week or two it should become normal.

So, when the month gets close to the end days surely we get more possibilities of reaching $20000. I agree. There are so many posts about "predicting" when or how much bitcoin will rise in the next few months or years. I think everyone knows by now that reality that cryptocurrency is the best definition of uncertainty in terms of a currency. Even if we know, following past trends, that it will rise up and gain traction at any given point in time, no one can accurately and really tell with accuracy when it will catch fire again or how much it would grow. I think the most possible amount to reach would be around 15-17k because gunning for over 20k would be too much.

Thing is investors may come after some altcoins as well since we all know that you can get more money by playing and expirimating with alts. The way I see it - bitcoin price will start to jump higher when we see major exchanges supporting SegWit as well as some personall wallets accepting / having an option of LN and SegWit. Because today you have many coins that are saying we need btc to scale, here is the solution for that. If LN really helps us in a way I don't see why bitcoin wouldn't be used as day to day currency, it would be great if we see that it can sustain overload on LN and still work fast and be efficient in that environment.

Surely, bitcoin will rise again. It is a natural system of price when highly needed it simply rise because of rapid demand.

This month is still on it's early days to see the best result for bitcoin. But for just a couple of days, we've seen on how it grew right? But we have to be optimistic all the time when it comes to bitcoin. Reaching new ATH's hasn't been slowed from the last days of 2017 and up until now.

BTC has fluctuated around 14000$ for couple of days. i guess BTC will climb to 20000$ in one month, then continue to fluctuate.

Altcoins have had a huge surge the past few weeks so by the end of this month some of that money will start flowing into Bitcoin, as it starts going up that'll bring in another wave of new money into Bitcoin. Bear market should be ending by the end of this month. Not sure if it'll break $20k before February, but I do expect at least $18k or $19k in January and probably surging to $25k by end of February.

Yeah, very likely at least from the look of things.  It is still under probability and we are presently having a sideways resistance for now which still pretty much looks like anything can happen on a breakout which could either lead up or down as the case may be. However, whichever way bitcoin pleases to move in the market based on the action of all of us, it will definitely do, so for now, it is just realistic to keep on following trend to see where the market leads.

This is all my internal speculation but given that some of the altcoins have been surging a lot lately, and given that now apparently some of them are downtrending (like Ripple for example) - it's pretty clear to me what's happening. Altcoins got pumped and now the money is gradually flowing back into Bitcoin during the dump.

I say gradually because Bitcoin would have shot up a lot higher and faster if all the money drained right away, but we'll get there. Look at how fast we went from almost 20k down to almost 10k a few weeks ago. As soon as the FUD starts to hit on some of those altcoins and the FOMO starts with the rising BTC price, people will convert their money back into Bitcoin.

I'm expecting >20k in the next week or so. That might even be a conservative view of it. It all depends on which direction the whales decide to go in, but I have a feeling the money will flow back into BTC soon.

Awesome news. Im now confident that we are going to an all time high soon. Realize that we have broken the previous peak of $16,400 on late december, and now we are going to try the $17400 former peaks of early December. If we can get past that, then we will try for an all time high again, and I don't believe in double tops, Bitcoin always blasts through them, maybe not at first attempt tho, so buy the dip and hold. Im definitely bullish by looking at the current graph. Once big merchants adopt segwit the mempool will clear and this will push the price higher as well.

I really hope that such predictions will come true. At least there is a hope that even if you buy Bitcoin at today's price of $ 16,000, you'll have to wait for a lamb in the US. Yeah, history can repeat itself and may decide not to, but the truth is that no one knows what would happen. The history may decide to get dropped and we may really see another history being rewritten but for now we cannot say much.

I still have the feelings though that it can drop, and that would be another good time to buy again probably at a lower price and if it does not, time to reap some very good profit. I have made a mistake to drop some alts which are now really doing pretty well and though a lot of people have speculated that they may end up to start dropping hugely later on, I may just have to take my chances back on some of them now. You simply can't predict the future prices. The prices of Bitcoin solely depends on the demand-supply equilibrium. If all of a sudden, some negative government action happens, then there will be a mass selloff and over-supply in the market. This will push down the prices. Bitcoin seems to be laying low for the moment. To think that 2017 is a crazy bull run for Bitcoin. It shouldn't be bad for the bull to take a break, right? And now we are almost halfway of January and haven't seen any sign of a major pump. If ever Bitcoin will climb this month then it might go near the 20,000 dollar mark.

I've said this multiple times already. Just have a look at the chart. Bitcoin had a massive run last year. And it looks like we are still trying to find a solid ground from where we can continue the journey to $20k. Until this ground hasn't been found by the market it's all about price discovery.

South Korea has quite strong links to Japan.   Japan has allowed Bitcoin to become a recognised currency and encourages business in that denomination.  It would be quite surprising for Korea to divert from the course Japan has already taken and possibly lose out on business between the two countries.
