Since starting Nfactor is 12, GPU will not work for ZcCoin, however, you could always verify this yourself with the cgminer we will provide then.
Another thing is the initial difficulty and revised difficulty tracking speed, which will fix the 1st day blow out.
The most important thing we concern is equal opportunity, which means no blow out on first day, and CPU only from the first day.

I don't think we will have lots of orphans cause the large Nfactor and initial difficulty. Meanwhile, please don't expect to solo mine too much, it will be better to use the pools.
Source will be available soon on github after I do some clean up.

We start up with 0.03 initial difficulty which is decent for Nfactor=12, considering YAC is only 0.25 with Nfactor=11 now.
Meanwhile, we change the speed of the difficulty tracking curve, and it will do its job better.

minerd is compiled under Mingw, and some anti-virus soft will detect this as virus.
This is a common issue of every windows version cpuminer.

Well.. looks like you might've fixed everything wrong with Yacoin but the most important thing. If your CPU can't make a share large enough for the pool/ network you won't be getting any coins. People with one CPU are boned.

Aside from that you can mine Yacoin on GPU's and you CAN make shares big enough to submit and get credit.

I mined this for about 30 minutes and only got one share on my FX6100 (6 cores @ 3.3 GHz) CPU.

Also the 12 "virus" warnings on virustotal (from the cpu miner) do not give me much confidence in installing this on my actual machine. I'm very glad I installed in a VM.

Also.. Why in the world did you host the files on a site where you need to know Chinese to read everything?

You could clone the source code of cpuminer from github.com/zccoin/cpuminer, but you have to do some modifications of nChainStartTime and GetNfactor.

The pools are killing the coin. 2 pools went down almost every hour.

25M hash rate in the whole network, it is really amazing...

This was GPU mineable since the start. And the performance gap between gpu and cpu is so wide (and will always be for greater Nfactors), there is no point to mine this with cpu ATM. The statement that GPUs don't work from Nfactor=12 is based on a wrong assumption. In fact the one that mentioned this was mrtlt (the guy working on a Primecoin GPU miner) and he already stated that this was likely to work after putting more work on it. Other people released miners that worked with Nfactor >= 12. TBH your own GPU miner WORKED since the start of the coin.

So really this coin is not that different from Yacoin except for the difficulty adjustment (yet to be field tested by an NFactor change).

It seems sort of sad that Cryptsy JUST added this coin. Apparently they didn't bother to check out the ZCC site... top post is an advertisement for programmers to fix their proof of stake problems. Btc38 and bter both recently suspended deposits (before Cryptsy added it) and they are planning a second hard fork less than a month after the first. Granted, the site is in Chinese, but I was able to gather all of that in 5 minutes with google translate.

ZcCoin was bothered for quite a long time by the POW orphan issue, and that's the reason why btc38 and bter suspended the deposit.
I'd like to clarify that this is the common issue for both YAC and ZCC, but ZCC was the first to discover this problem.
YAC just released their 0.4.2 hardfork to solve this problem. I'd like to mention that YAC was once suspended by Cryptsy due to this problem too.
We have just released our hardfork 0.5.2 following YAC to solve this issue today.

Finally, I'd like to say the idea of YAC is awesome, but there are also many problems. As you could see, there are not too many YAC altcoins survived until now and we are proud that ZCC has been with YAC for such a long time and we will work together with YAC more in the future.

How to mine this?

I tried various scrypt-jane cgminers on it (the ones for CACH, ULtracoin, the ZZMiner published on 115.28.143.200) but none seems to work, most of them either fail or shows HW errors only

Cause Nfactor=14, the intensity should be relatively low and carefully tuned. You could refer the following cgminer.conf file for HD7850 2GB:

Fork, where?  It looks like one pool has 90% of the hashing power.

ZCC forked around two months ago, and bter has not recovered withdraw.

I tired to set Ntime and etc but when i add that arguments in the .bat file the minerd pop up and then close....

First thing to clarify, even for Nfactor=14, GPU is still much more efficient than CPU, for example:
HD7850 2G has 2K hash/s vs i7 less than 1 K
If you really want to mine ZCC with CPU, and please use one of the following cpuminers:

i started to mine ZCcoin, found very interesting. I have problem with GPU miner, i have a lot HW errors. Tried with low intensity I 9, hash ~ 2 kh/s, tried with I 11, hash ~5 kh/s  the same HW errors. In 5 min i have got HW 35.

For example when i use cgminer 3.7.2 for Lite coin i dont have any problem with HW errors even with I 19.

My card is 7770 HD

ZcCoin is based on scrypt-jane and Yacoin with Nfactor, therefore, LTC miner will not work and intensity should be low to avoid HW.
The normal hashrate for 7850 2G is 2.x K for your information.

If I'm not mistaken, Zcc is on N=14 now, so that config file posted is not going to work well any longer.  The following is for YACMiner - which is geared for mining coins with high N Factor https://github.com/thirtybird/yacminer (https://github.com/thirtybird/yacminer)

or try this if you only have 4 GB memory

If you're over 4 KH/sec with those settings, you're in the ballpark.  The higher the buffer-size you can allocate, the higher you can set -R.

This is what I see in my syslog output using an unmodified clone and build of zccoin/cpuminer from the repository.

cpuminer[26192]: accepted: 0/1 (0.00%), 14.78 khash/s (booooo)
cpuminer[26192]: accepted: 0/2 (0.00%), 14.84 khash/s (booooo)
cpuminer[26192]: accepted: 0/3 (0.00%), 14.73 khash/s (booooo)

Actually, I found the source code you've linked to be useful and it compiles and I see the following output; although I still do not know if nChainStartTime and GetNfactor modifications are required.

thread 0: 35 hashes, 0.01 khash/s
thread 1: 35 hashes, 0.01 khash/s
thread 2: 35 hashes, 0.01 khash/s
thread 3: 35 hashes, 0.01 khash/s

So far though, I have not seen any syslog messages say whether or not my hashes have been accepted or rejected.

While evaluating cpuminers -- I also found Thirtybird's YACoin CPU Miner and it does appear to give slightly better results.
