No, of course not. Stop creating this kind of threads because we all know that bitcoin's price is always going to change.

Do not you think that $65k is a huge amount of money? Please, be realistic, because the price made a x15 during the last year it doesn't mean that during this year it will be worth $70k or just $1m.

I guess that would be too much but some investors and even businessmen predict it to be $45k by the end of 2018. So in this part of the year where bitcoin price is still in ups and downs, it is better to invest more since the price is still low.

The beginning of the year isn't really something nice and happening for bitcoins but I do think that in the upcoming months the price can easily become double of what it was in December..
I don't believe that it will get quadrupled or anything because even... Getting it double of what it was before will take up too much of attention and investment.

Not expecting for bitcoin to attain and overpass its all time high at $20,000 this year. If its overpasses this ATH this year, maybe we can see again a new ATH when all will be going smoothly after this big correction.

Bitcoin prices in the end of 2018 will increase over the first few months, but it's not just the price of it increasing that its users have increased over time, I guess its price will end at 30k by the end of 2018.

currently the mempool is clearing up and the fees are coming down very fast. the suggested low fee is 20 satoshi/byte and the highest is no more than 60-70 satoshi/byte. and if this continues we can see the start of a rise and if the ATH ($20k) is broken there will be a very easy rise ahead.

with Lightning Network which is currently growing (nearly 100 nodes are active with 3 times as many channels) we can expect a lot of positive good news for bitcoin. this year will be the year of lightning speed and low fees. paying for coffee in matter of seconds for no fees.
all of it will lead to another booming adoption and growing price. the rally can be huge.

in other words last year it was 1400% rise and this year it will be the same. reaching $100,000 will be ~600% rise.

I am not sure about $60k but $40k through the year 2018 would be prettty possible, as stated by talkbitcoin member that the network fee will be reduced,
people will start transacting much more than before through bitcoin and also pending transactions would be confirmed, the change in fee structure is main problem for bitcoin users, if the fee is reduced, bitcoin will surely reach a highwr record

If bitcoin will release Lightning network. i expect 60,000-80,000 increase price and that's my prediction though do you diligence research about bitcoin. Disclaimer: Don't try to evaluate my prediction its just my opinion.

The way Bitcoin dropped drastically within a couple of weeks was a surprise to me. I can not predict about the end of year price. It could drop further or it could increase beyond everyone's expectations. Whatever the case, all the best to it.

First we cannot really say what will happen, but as far as we know bitcoin its rise and fall value but in the end bitcoin always comes back to its track. Bitcoin user like me always be optimistic  that bitcoin will always there to help more people who are engage with it..

I think that bitcoin price in 2018 is good. Because so many people invest in bitcoin, the price keeps increasing, so by the end of 2018, the price tends to be higher. so this is our chance to invest in bitcoin, because the price will always go up.

i am looking the prize and chart btc market is going up and down its fluctuating now end of the year bitcoin prize can reach $20000 above and then we can do our work properly by that prize  like who people are waiting for the profit they can do easily their work on that but we just looking right now when the prize will up and grow after the right platform we can do speculation and the prize of btc can reach $25000 till and other crypto will increase with btc whrere people can do other activities also.

Nothing is impossible when it comes to BTC,but I personally do not expect that 2017 can be repeated this year.Last year was incredible in terms of price,but it show us that infrastructure on which BTC is based have a lot of disadvantages.Increase in price is create big problems for exchanges,fees are become too high and transaction too slow.In this moment price is maybe more than expected,and I do not think we should expect something more until the issue of scalability is resolved.

I'm thinking that price in 2018 will depend on how fast SegWit will be finally accepted by major exchanges,and developing of Lightning Network.Also price will depend on how will some countries regulate trading&mining and a general attitude towards cryptocurrency.

I will try to be realistic about my predictions and say that at the end of this year BTC price could be 30 000$ or in the best case 50 000$.But as many predict we we can expect big corrections.

Let me guess,  I think it will reach at $50,000 - $100,000 at the end of this year.  That is only a guess.  But I am not expecting too much this year because  of the unstable price of bitcoin anything can happen and I hope that the next happening will be great for all of us. No one would predict what will happen to bitcoin in the future, we all know that bitcoin price do have rise and fall and it comes back again to its high price. Bitcoiner like me do hope and be optimistic that bitcoin will still be the number one crypto currency and still it will bring hope to the people and that many lives will be changes. come one be realistic dude, that number you have said is to high. in real world bitcoin will face up a lot of ban news and goverment threat to forbidden the bitcoin. because this year will be the year when bitcoin in the gempur is exhausted by government and tax officials.

At first sight, anyone will surely say that a price prediction like this for bitcoin is too much, but if you try and look back at the happenings last year, we can clearly say that a speculation like this really does make sense and not a total bullcrap kind of speculation. That is, if the trend from last year happens in this year. But if it doesn't, then it will not. The point here is everything is possible when it comes to bitcoins since it has already proven itself to be so unpredictable.

My guess in regards to the price is: bitcoin will end the year at around 18 k. While it might not be the year of BTC, other Alt coins could be performing very strong. But that is just me guessing around. Nevertheless, it is going to be a very interesting year. It starts very volatile, painfull for some I guess, but that is how the coin markets will probably behave in the upcoming months.

I think that Bitcoin has two problems to reach that price. First, it is the year of the alt (IMO) so alts are going to give plenty of surprises, second the manipulation with futures trading.

There is no way BTC is going to reach that value. Just consider yourself buying bitcoin at that price and see how ridiculous the idea is. No one will do it either.

Never mind if it goes up to the peakest amount, because when it falls down surely drops at the bottom of the seabed , this is the worst scenario if you invest a thing that has already a huge value when it sinks, It makes me wonder this is truly a gambling:)

It cant go up like this a huge prediction of this year end. Some user can be consider this a gambling and some doesnt. So when price drops most action to do is invest while price low and wait for the price to go higher. Taking risks to invest in bitcoin and all can be possible to have a profit since market is volatile.

In a few weeks bitcoin make surprises especially for me, bitcoin price drop more than 20 % is not good condition, honestly I hope that Will never happen again, my  predict of bitcoin price Will reach $ 30k in the end of year, I think 30k is possible value..

Nobody can guess the exact price but for me the price will be much higher than what is the highest price of bitcoin last year. So for now while the price is low yet it is good to buy for bitcoin and save it or hold it for a longer period of time in order to have huge profit someday.

Last time i read an article, they predict in bitcoin price will go to 130,000 usd.  I think thats gonna happen, becuase more people accepting bitcoin, becuase to easy transaction

I think with the popularity of bitcoin and hedgefunds, wallstreet and big investors is investing now in bitcoin because they saw the opportunities to make money on it. this year will be good to bitcoin and in the whole cryptocurrency market. bitcoin will surge to 110,000$ end of the year base on how many money will be pouring into bitcoin later on this year. :)

Expectations on bitcoin is more for everyone and as you said most of the people say bitcoin will reach $70000 to $80000 within this year end. However, you cannot speculate bitcoin to be this much bullish and as per experts speculation, bitcoin will be around $40000 within this year end.

I wouldn't say its not possible but I would also want to know the basis of such conclusion because that would then enable everyone to  establish a probability of that happening. If the argument is right then all well but if its based on simply past year 2017 because of the good run bitcoin had, then it does not hold as relying on past information is not anywhere advisable.

I really would be glad anyway to see that happen. We had the same kind of trend last year when everything looked bleak at the beginning of the year and then we got the highest surprise of all through the year. Its unpredictable looking at the moments going around the crypto currencies adaptation. Though many storms affect, altcoins stay strong with pumps and dumps. Day by day the number of investors plus the capital amount invested increases massively. This is the trust and hope that altconis would surely yield them huge profit in a short while. I am afraid that we cant base our expectation on previous experiences here - I don't think that price of BTC will be growing constantly forever.
There is no way for BTC to reach $100k in near future - it is just too much for people to handle. (That doesn't mean I wouldn't want that to happen, though.)

Since the bloody days of cryptos seems to be over and cryptos starting to recover, i believe that bitcoin will continue to rise despite the speculations of some that it will go down below 8,000$ this year. Well, my speculation goes the other way around as i speculate that bitcoin will reach 30-35$ this year.

There is some turmoil in some countries about the prohibition to make a transaction using bitcoin this will certainly have a negative impact on the value of bitcoin and that is one factor which will decrease the interest of investors to invest in bitcoin. but I do not think it will affect the bitcoin price in the future, it's just that it will take a long time to wait for the bitcoin price increase as you say about 65-70 k USD. What are you talking man, it doesn't make any sense at all. Do you even understand what makes up the prices of the bitcoin really? The whole thing relates to market capitalisation of bitcoin or the other coins which get traded for the bitcoin directly or indirectly. Reaching that much prices would be like hitting the trillion dollar market cap at the least and I'm pretty sure it's not possible in the long run.

If you really want to know what prices we my hit then we need to analyse more data from next 2-3 months. There is no way one can guess such prices in advance.

The bitcoin price is not easy to predict according to the current market situations, as right now the market conditions are not good because it is in sideways trend from past few months and we cannot see any conditions or indication for the end of a sideways trend. It will be better if we can predict the market in the trending period that will start once if it breaks the 15k price level. But even though for the calculation basis i would like to add that i am expecting the bitcoin to reach at least 100% of the all-time high price level which is around 40k to 45k. And i think the market will reach this price level within next 6 months of time-frame.

We cant predict or should I say nothing can predict what will be the rating of the price of bitcoin. It can continously have a higher rate or it can be on lower rate. No way!! Will you explain why you think that bitcoin will get that much prices in the first place. That’s just crazy speculation and bitcoin is not even fully operational yet. Operational I mean, it’s not being used directly into the national system and neither it is helping to its growth. It will not be the same like 2017. There are other cryptocurrency in the market challenging bitcoin. There is government pursuing holders of bitcoin for tax and other issues which is creating panic daily. So this 2018 is going to be different than last year. Bitcoin will not rise to that value.

Guess what last January 2017 the same thing has been said to price predictions of 10,000$ and above which majority of the users said was way to overprice and it come to surprise all members that 10,000 and above is really an achievable rate. The prices will only hit the maxima of 20-25K I guess. I think 30 k is a moderate value. Regrdless it is going to hit higher than it's ATH though. Maybe in a few months it'll hit 30k. Bitcoin needs more attention and investors before it breaks 20k though.

As long as japanese states legalize bitcoin then bitcoin will never end, Japan is the second largest bitcoin user after china and i never panicked when the price drop like now, we will see price $ 45k within 3 months from now, same as price from $ 4 k to $ 17k that occurred within 4 months.

Why do you confirm that 2018 will be the end of Bitcoin? The rise and fall in Bitcoin rates are unpredictable, but it is unlikely that the Bitcoin exchange rate will end in 2018, as the current demand for this cryptos is still very high. Why people don't speculate when the price is increasing. Everytime it is not possible for any market to keep on increasing the price, so there is huge chance when the price is decreasing.

I guessed something different during the end of 2017.But now I am guessing something else.During the month of December,  2017,I thought the price of bitcoin will increase surprisingly in the coming year of 2018.but my thinking was wrong.The price decreased!!So,now I'm thinking different now.

I think it will be over the 20k based on what happened at the end of 2017, maybe a little bit more.

Sometimes many people predict prices will go down after price going up. but precisely what happened the price continued to rise? like a few moments ago between november-december. many people predict prices to stop rising at $10k? but prices continue to rise to over $17k.
the point is we don't know when the price will stop moving up or when prices will go down. there is no situation where the price will always go up. like some time ago, then the price drops due to correction
but not forever the price will go down. so even though the current price is still down trend. surely there will be a time the price will rise. so prepare yourself

whatever the price will be at the end of this year is something that none of us can ever predict yet. mainly because we simply do not have the technologies that can do this as of now. or should i say the right equation or solution that we can use to somehow calculate how things will be working out for the crypto world later this year. the only thing we can do for now is speculate and trust our guts and a few clues we can use to reach a decision on what we course of actions we should do to make the most of this early time of the year.

Without any single doubt, I believe BTC would tap $100k before the year ends. I'll come back to this thread to have fun with my prediction. :)  Last year I thought BTC would crash after 3K, and I thought BTC top for 2017 is only 6k. I'm so thankful BTC reached $19k plus.

End of this year is really exciting and surprising because a lot of us here have so many predictions about the bitcoin price would be. We could expect a skyrocket I think of the price this upcoming months because when you check the history price is rising up and down. Although we couldnt say how much it will be but I have so many high hopes on bitcoin ath price this year ends.

I think the price would be almost 50K USD at the end of this year. Though this time is not suitable for this blockchain system and the price is getting lower and lower. this is the acid test for every Bitcoin holders. I believe that only after the roll out of Segwit, it is possible to attract more new investors and users towards the bitcoins. Which will ultimately help to boost the price of the bitcoins.


Why not ? It is possible as the bitcoins has also shown tremendous recovery after that fall. Once the black clouds of negative news gets clear then the price can reach the sky.

Best possible scenario for this year is to price comes to where it was and that is around 20-21k some exchanges had maybe little more but lets take average for this one.

In fact Bitcoin is now having difficulties at 10000 USD so that is already something to consider when speculating it poten market value at the end of this year . With the recent development, I don't think that we can get to $100K. There's too much of negativity around from FUD to government shutting down crypto for good. I read a recent article on bloomberg showing that Bitcoin has a 70%+ correlation with the stock market. I think if we have another bull year then bitcoin will do well. However, if there is a market correction, it would affect bitcoin prices. 

It has already affected the price, hopefully the correction is over and we will see an uptrend very soon.

Based on the cointelegraph.com analysis, the current price drop is indicating a bearish movement and if the support of $7,941 breaks then it could lead to another drop till $7,000. It's pretty hard to tell if this would change. Although, I am always hopeful that the wind will change and prices would increase as much as it did in late 2017.
