I think there are some other similar threads are available on our forum so it is better to search before asking questions.

The bitcoin mining profits maybe not effective because of increase in the mining difficulty of bitcoin but it still give earnings.
I suggest you to mine monero because difficult level is very less and the coin is also undervalued so if you can mine some monero nowadays it will give good profits when its price bumps.GPU mining is the best available way to mine monero.

There are more threads on the similar topic, But to answer your question, It is very hard to mine BTC as of today assuming the high electricity costs that are involved apart from setting up your mining rig. SO I would suggest you to forget it :)

Nowadays bitcoin mining is not that profitable for end users, the ones that are profiting right now are the big comapanies that have warehouses full of processors dedicated to just bitcoin mining. For you to have profit you would have to make a big inicial investment in asics or so and there should be probably a long roi... so i wouldn't recommend it

Mining is the best platform because it is decent profit in every month. But it take more power consumption so many users are avoid the mining platform. I prefer mining is good profitable platform because I use solar power supply in my mining rig so it is reduce my power consumption bill. In many countries governments are strictly avoid the mining. Because mining platform is consuming more consumption this reason is major issues in this platform. So you should use solar power you can earn more profit.

Yes, Bitcoin mining is still profitable even these days and it can make you some good profits if you have a good ASIC miner like "Bitman Antminer S9." But, like other mining rigs it will still depend on the cost of electricity, and if you have access to free electricity then profits are good enough.

Mining other alternative coins is also profitable, but unfortunately they can only be mined with GPU-miners that aren't pre-built by companies like "Bitman," but can be easily made by locals who are good at hardware stuff. Ethereum is more profitable as compare to Bitcoin, and with a good GPU-Rig one could easily expect 160 MH/s with 6 GPU-Rig.

You can also calculate mining profits with online calculators like that of crypto-compare. The calculator gives you accurate profits that you earn from mining different coins.

today the remaining bitcoin is only 4 million, and I think it's a bit late for mining. especially with a system that has not been normal, so it can disrupt the transaction. today I think everybody prefers trading rather than doing mining. and both generate huge profits.

The profit depends on the rate on your electricity bill. But I think it's not a bad idea to mine with the Antminer S9 as I expect the price of Bitcoin to recover in the next coming weeks. I can encourage mining from different places in the world to keep the network decentralized.

Bitcoin mining has grown from a handful of early enthusiasts into a cottage industry, into a specialized industrial-level venture. The easy money was scooped out a long time ago and what remains is buried under the cryptographic equivalent of tons of hard rock.

The sad truth is:

Only those with specialised, high-powered machinery are able to profitably extract bitcoins nowadays. While mining is still technically possible for anyone, those with underpowered setups will find more money is spent on electricity than is generated through mining.

In other words, mining won’t be profitable at a small scale unless you have access to free or really cheap electriciy.

Of course it is still worth it to invest in bitcoin mining. actually mining bitcoin gives the fastest return of invest compared to other investment in just a year you will get your ROI but it is still depends on how much hashing power your mining hardware setup or how effective it is. if you are planning to do bitcoin mining but only want to invest couple of asic miners forget about it becaise i dont know if it will be profitable.

I read on some forums and facebook groups that mining bitcoin is not profitable now so they convert to altcoins mining. But it still depends on your specs, how much it costs you to build it and your monthly utility bills. Still profitable but I think mining altcoins is more profitable now.

I'm bit confused about it. Because the beginning of 2018 is very bad. Bitcoin still not recovered from this crisis. So I'm waiting for the further movements, then only we can take a decision.

That differs from time to time, GPU mining seems to be more profitable than ASIC mining, looking at this website: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/#/equipment
Also hashing power doesn't really influence your ROI, hashes per price unit do. It doesn't matter whether you have a machine with 100 Mhash/s for $100 or a 200Mhash/s machine for $200, as you'll have the same ROI.

I also read that too in a site, still uncertain if we should agree to that or disagree. But I think that whoever wants to mine bitcoin can do so if they have calculated or do an estimate of their profit after all expenses on electricity or software. We may be neglecting bitcoin mining now, when the price pumps up watch how most people will rush back to it. Bitcoin mining can't be quited so soon.

Bitcoin mining is not advisable as earning profits as of now. I did not try to mine because all of my friends are withdrawing in mining. They said that it is just a costly and not anymore profitable. However, we can earn with mining but I think it is now good to mine in altcoins.

it is always worth mining bitcoin because bitcoin has a good future and with the price rise of it, you will always make more and more profit from what you have earned. so the risk is minimal. but at the same time it is hard to mine it so you have to consider that also.

it is probably best to start with mining altcoins. specially if you are observant enough to switch fast between them and mine the coin that is getting pumped and dump your mined coins fast during the pumps to make the most amount of profit.

Imo it isn't worth it to mine bitcoins in 2018 as the current electricity rates are very high (especially in India) and even Nvidia declared that they don't want to sell GPUs to miners but they want to sell them to gamers as they get feedback from them.

Keeping the hardware and electricity issues aside, the difficulty while mining has increased as well and this is becoming a lot more competitive than expected.

Therefore, I don't think that investing in a mining rig would be profitable in the current scenario.

Mining it profitable but you have to think long term. You should keep the mined coins for few years. This means you need to invest some money out of own pocket on equipment without any earning for that time.

Yes mining is really profitable you should really think for it but base on some lititle birds I know you can barrow on banks now a days because bitcoin is getting long which people acknowledge now a days.

with think he money you barrowed you can buy a mineral or ASICS.

Well not because of you friends will not try anymore to invest in mining. Did you try to ask them why? What are the reasons of there widrawal?. Here is a little tip don't follow on what your friends doing be strong and be independent on things, try to separate yourself from them.

For me it is not profitable. I sold my mining equipment, when I got that trading, when you do it after thinking over your scheme of business, brings more. Yes, mining is not risky, but ASIC will eat much money.

The only hardware that i know off capable of mining bitcoin right now is Antminer s9, which coast roughly about four to five thaousand dollars, you will be able to make its money worth of bitcoin in about 6 to 7 months, and this considering that you will be runing it 24/7 and with 0 electricity coast, so all in all i don't think that it is profitable at all because even if you have free electricity these caculation are made at a certain mining difficulty which is always changing so 2 months from now this could change, so unless you have a lot of moeny to buy expensive hardware and an empty space and free elctricty i don't recommend mining bitcoin, instead do like everone and just mine altcoins with GPU and then exchange them to bitcoin.

First, i think better if you move your post in mining childboard...

Also, its not profitable to mining bitcoin with only 1-2 asic even if you have 1-2 antminers, it's still not profitable. Better if you mine a coin with a lower mining difficulty level like monero, ltc, zcash, or ethereum.
You can also buy at least 50 onion coins for participate in their airdrop every week

I don't think so. Bitcoin mining is in the past. It is too difficult right now and it does not pay off for a very long time. If you reaaly want to mine crypto, you should consider ETH or RPL mining.

It is. They are just saying that mining is not profitable since you really need to have a good capital in order to buy good hardware for your miners. Also, mining do not give your profit that easily since it takes time before you get back what you have spent on it, electric fees are really not a joke.

If not mine BTC what other coin is it worth to mine nowadays?

There are a lot of digital currency and if you will be buying an ASIC, theres BCC and other Bitcoin altcoins that are aiming to take down BTC which is not really successful. Though you can just use a mining calculator to calculate your earnings if it will be profitable or not.

but as miners, still need to count all profit and the fees to pays electricity (it depends on the country i think)

Bitcoin mining will not give you the instant profit you have to wait for a long time, but in the long term, you can make a good profit. And you must buy the latest machine to mine bitcoin. Cost is high and electricity bill also high.If you can afford this, then you can mine bitcoin. Suppose if you can not afford to buy ASIC you can buy GPU's and mine other altcoins.

It is very much impossible to have low electricity bills after earning a good amount of bitcoin through mining. The expenditure is not acceptable that is why hackers are using other people’s resources to accomplish this job.

There is no doubt that bitcoin would be soaring up but other methods of earning this crypto currency are more suitable. Personally, I like day trading because it gives the most earning.

Mining bitcoins in 2018 is not possible if you have a single high speed computer with a lot of GPU power. These days bitcoin mining is very difficult and we have companies who have mining farms and only those mining farms can mine Bitcoins profitably.

It is funny but yes true most of the time people use other people resources to get bitcoin mining done, I guess it is so expensive I am not in favor of mining because it is very hard to buy bitcoin mining equipment and other thing is that bitcoin mining takes a lot of electricity so people will get unaffordable electricity bill. So if profit is less than investment then I won’t suggest you to go for it.

With your this point, you know people are not being impressed with bitcoins anymore. What they think of bitcoins that they are ending in this year. Although there are wrong and they need to update themselves about the nature of these coins.

As far as second point is concerned, yes you must have little cost of electricity, only then you can get more of profits out of bitcoins anytime.

But tapping bitcoin requires a lot of money. You need to buy expensive equipment, and you need to find cheap electricity, which will seriously hurt your profits.

Depend on what coin and how high your spec device in order to mining.
If you ask about bitcoin, I think it's difficult to find a worthy mining spec because it's difficulty getting higher than ever.
You can try for looking another altcoin to mine !

Of course. It is possible to invest quite a profit and not even think about the financial difficulties. It just depends on your electricity costs. Besides, if you see your bill high, get some bitcoin because you earn from it.

Of course the answer is yes, bitcoin mining in 2018 is still worth it. This is because even though the price of bitcoin is still falling, but it still has its price. Bitcoin mined can be kept as long as it can. But, it depends on the coins we are mined, sold or not in crypto market .That why before we mined the coin, we must revise the price of the coin we are mines.

If not mine BTC what other coin is it worth to mine nowadays?

Looks like bitcoin mining is no more worth than last year because the price of bitcoin has falling to the low price.
CRyptocurrency mining will be more profitable if the price of the coins itself high. Otherwise, you cannot even cover your electricity expense from mining crypto because the value of mined coins are bad.

depending on each country determine the pay for electricity, because in a smooth mining activa that really must be considered is your electricity bill if you are mining and your mining income under your electricity bill means it is not worth it for you to do, if it's still far profitable means mining is still good to do this year

Yes, of course bitcoin is very valuable . I once opened a factory and used many computers to exploit it. But now it does not bring me good results because of the increasing difficulty. The amount of bitcoin I earn is very small. So, I went to exploit other virtual currencies, it's low value but easy to exploit and earn more stable profits. And the virtual currency that I choose to dig is Dogecoin

I think there are several important factors. 1. Bitcoins can still keep a high price in 2018. 2. You must have a low price for electricity.
To meet these two points, I think you can still dig in 2018.::)

Yes bitcoin is always worth. Every year bitcoin improves just like now the price of bitcoin is worth so that you can get a big profit.

in my opinion it is feasible to be feasible but not effective, the point is that you are free to mine what is not but for this year it is not effective because the average crypto price is low, it is better to wait for prices to rise again. It's better now to trade or buy coins if you still have USDT

Agree with this statement, we can farm or mine bitcoin but not profitable at the current situation at the market of crypto currency, for now much better to look for altcoin to mine which is you can able to earn money in only few days of mining. To my opinion mining is not profitable anymore, at least not for individuals. If you have a mining farm then it's a different story but otherwise not.
Costs of equipement and electricity are too high compared to profit you will get and cloudmining should be avoided because it's usualy connected to scams.
It's better to put your efforts to trading or some other way of earning Bitcoins but mining is a past tense now for majority of users.

mining does not always require a capital or huge capital before you get started because even if you do not have a cash in your pocket , you can still possibly mine a crypto due to the fact that there were now lots of mining sites that you can use nowadays and yes most of them are totally free and easy to use . however the profit that you might get is litteraly small if you are only using a third party service .

2018 is a more advance year when compared to the past year and many people are now also doing mining , so there is a slight difficulty which can affect your gains . although the profit will still depend on the device that you are using .

I have 4 racks of miners for ETH and BTC coins. and I will provide conclusions that I have experienced in 2018 which miners get very little profit because coin prices are decreasing, while the electricity needs of the machine are stable so that the profit gained is little. for now, it is better for you to trade because it is more profitable.

It really depends on how much you pay electricity bill - if you are in Canada or other north land where you get a low temperature all months of the year you can be fine and you can still earn. BUt be careful because also the ring tend to cost more and more while the computation to resolve is getting very extreme. So choose wisely - it was supposed to be kinda fair but in the end I think only such a big cooportation or rich peolple can handle this situation. You have to spend money to get money

It's expensive considering the ASIC miner that you have to purchase and the location where you are going to mine by estimating the cost of electricity.

Bitcoin is risky? well it has been said many times and if you think that its risky then don't invest on it. You should consider investing in other projects? well good luck, most of them now are scams and if you don't want to stick to the king of all crypto's its up to you.

I think that for individuals it worth only if they have dirt cheap electricity. Else they have better chances by only investing.

If not mine BTC what other coin is it worth to mine nowadays?

What is better to mine is hard to answer today, since the market is down and the alts have really suffered a lot. Ethereum was the usual "safe to mine" coin, but it may not be the case anymore. Monero price is also quite low. So.. it depends more on what coin the miner thinks it will rise faster. Again, investing may be better for now, until we see where the market goes and which altcoins will actually rise again.

Instead of investing money in mining hardware your better off just buying the coins. looking back at the profits miners have made, they would have pretty much always been better off just buying the coins instead.

Profits have been rapidly decreasing as difficult is continually rising. Right now is a tough time to get into mining. The only positive right now is you may be able to pick up some cheap gear from desperate sellers.

Mining bitcoin doesn't worth the effort in 2018 because it is no longer profitable unless you are planning to hold your bitcoin until the next bull run.

You have a point, but it still depends on the devices and resources a certain person can provide. If they provide it then try to mine but I also think that mining bitcoin is not profitable now.

My question is if it's still worth buying Asic's and start mining BTC in 2018.

If not mine BTC what other coin is it worth to mine nowadays?

I think to date investment in bitcoin is still feasible, because some people still see that bitcoin still benefits investors. yes, although sometimes difficult to guess, bitcoin can still be used as an investment

Many factors need to be considered to conclude and answer the feasibility of mining Bitcoin in 2018. I think, Yes, it's still worth, but, that's only if you invest a large amount of capital on a good mining rig. If you do not have time or money, you should stay away from mining and only invest in buying Bitcoin for the long term.

Nah mate. Mostly it's a waste of time and effort. Bitcoin mining requires a lot of resources which are usually not within the means of an individual. You can try your hands on mining shitcoins with low difficulty level

If you have access cheap electric, it is very profitable. Even if you don't, still it give some profit. Otherwise people would stop mining and difficulty would drop.

But people are getting profit out of it. But yes, you can't have huge earnings.

It can really be disadvantageous for you. You need to buy expensive equipment, pay large electricity bills. In addition, this is quite a long process, So I recommend you not to bother, but just buy bitcoin and wallet for it.

The answer to this question is it depends on where you live and what level of investment you’re willing to make. You may find that you live close to a renewable energy source and therefore, can run the most powerful mining rigs possible without killing your profits on electricity.

By looking at the falling prices of bitcoin, accompanied by high electricity rates, and mining equipment that is difficult to obtain and also very expensive, I think it is best to forget about this bitcoin mining in 2018, because the risk is too large and we might lose a lot if forced yourself to mine bitcoin this year.

I think for bitcoin is very difficult, so people choose to do minning on other altcoins. well, even for altcoins, it takes hardware that is so super fast, and good for getting enough profit. What's more, risking from minning is quite large, I think people are now switching from bitcoin to altcoin.

One of my friends was shut down his rigs because he cannot make a good profit and he decides to stop the mining process. Although he is not mining bitcoin and only mining altcoin, he saw that he doesn't have a chance to make any profit because he needs to pay the high electricity fee and usually, in the last year, we can pay with easy, and he still makes a profit. He said that maybe if bitcoin price increase in more than $7k, he can continue the mining process but right now, he prefers to stop the mining.

At this moment in the event that you mined a bitcoin obstruct, with two bitcoin of exchange charges you would get a mining payout of 14.5 BTC worth- - a reward at current rates of generally $92,000.
You can consider the mining reward as being 14.5BTC or $92,000 yet you can rest guaranteed that the vast majority care more about $92,000 than the BTC consider for a begin they should pay a gigantic power charge in fiat.

The problem is that bitcoin mining becomes harder every time a new bitcoin is mined but while this process keeps going on the price remains the same or even goes down. It's obviously that mining bitcoin becomes less profitable since you pay the same amount of money for investments in equipment but you produce less bitcoin wich equals less profit made. Probably its still profitable on the big scale otherwise people would stop mining bitcoin but if you want to start doing this by yourself you are probably going to lose more than you earn.

Of course, mining other coins is easier is less costly but less profitable. You can't just expect you can make high profits with some old CPU miners, those days are long gone.

It is always worth it to mine btc as long as you don't mind the sound of the machine and/or you are okay with using your electricity bill as a credit card on which to purchase btc every month.

That's how I look at it. I used to have a 2 THs miner plus my S3 miner going and all through out 2015 - 2017 they mined fine. The 2 THs miner was loud as all hell but I put it in the garage so it was okay. But then an angry neighbor smashed it lol. Anyways through that time I never once thought about shutting them off. ( It was to much fun mining ) And the electricity at the end of the day was manageable.

I feel for now it's still very worthwhile to do mining btc because the price of btc has started to crawl up from what I saw a few days ago, and starting to show signs of an increase, will the price of btc rise again to the highest point as at the beginning of 2017? if you believe this, then mining is a thing that is still very suitable at this time depending on what spec pc you use and also depends on how many electricity bills in your country are worth mining or not, that's the thing that must be taken into account if you want to do mining for now.

Each country certainly has different financial needs in mining costs, both regarding electricity tariffs that need attention, as well as mining equipment and other needs that are in dire need of large costs. Looking at current market conditions, where bitcoin prices tend to decline, mining costs like I mentioned above experience price increases. Of course I see it is very risky and maybe the benefits that can be obtained are very small through bitcoin mining at this time.

Maybe if they have a large of hardware, they can still get a profit from mining this year, and they don't have to use a big fee for the electricity. But for people who only have the small hardware, they cannot make any profit, and even they will need to pay a big fee of the electricity. It depends on many reasons for the mining to continue and the big things that we need to aware of are the electricity fee which is different in all country. And if you can get the cheap electricity fee, then you only need to think about how the hardware can get a big reward from the mining process.

Yes, it is worth mining to those who mines lately. But as a newbie in mining? I guess it is not worth to start mining now 2018. It is profitable but as your bill of electricity rises your profit will goes to them. And ofcourse, in order to do mining, you have to buy an expensive mining rig which is capable of 24/7 use. It will always take time to earn but as what is always told here in the crypto-world, you must risk your time too, not just your money in order to earn a good profit.

Current energy consumption mining has begun to be non-profitable. Moreover, an increase in the degree of difficulty also reveals the cost of the device. Under these conditions, the only way to continue mining is to increase the value of Bitcoin and therefore all crypto coins.

Mining of bitcoin are still profitable, but this may change at any time. The price of bitcoin often changes, so many people do not want to take a lot of risk and buy expensive equipment, which later may be useless. Although on the other hand, many people have long predicted the death of Bitcoin, but he holds the bar high and now shows good stability.

It depends just on your electricity cost. If you have no worry about it, then you mine bitcoin happily. Otherside if you saw your bills goes high then mine a little bitcoin because you earn from it.

In our country I doubt if any of them still mining because of various direct and indirect factors it is not anymore feasible considering the cost etc. ROI take years before you start getting return and in between price falls then it is different story altogether.

I agree with your opinion, monero still has the potential to mine, but it should be noted that at the moment the situation is very bad, because market prices have fallen sharply, so if they mine it might not be able to make big profits.

I think no. Because at this time the price of bitcoin is down and there you are going to lose, because the income earned is not in accordance with the electricity costs you incur. But if there is enough capital. I think it's good to keep mining but the bitcoin you hold until the price goes up.

Bitcoin is still worth mining but you have to invest huge to build a mining rig in order to make the maximum profit. All you need to do is build a mining rig which can give you about 2000 plus mega hash per second. Building such a mining rig might cost you more than $2000. Bitcoin mining is always profitable if you the right tools to mine the coin. Using the wrong tools will just waste your time and income.

Of course, the complexity of mining does not stand still and the more people mine crypto coins the more difficult it is to do, but here everything is like in a normal mine: the first who came, collected gold nuggets literally from the surface, others had to dig, and the third turn into real miners, buying expensive equipment to delve into tunnels hundreds of meters under the ground. With a yield, everything is simple — it is the place, because there the subject of buying the cryptocurrency. bank of Japan. If the Japanese decide that it is safer to continue lending to the US-all the hype with cryptocurrencies will end. Instantly.

Every amount of bitcoin you earn is very worthy as far as cryptocurrency is concerned. The crypto market might be really bearish now but that does not mean mining for some bitcoin is not worthy. What if bitcoin is to shoot up instantly? Remember in crypto, everything is capable of happening. If mining bitcoin could fetch some amount of bitcoin, it is better you mine for more bitcoin and hold whiles bitcoin shoots up and I am sure you will end up securing lot of $ when market revives at an appreciable state.

if the price of electricity in your home is below 0.05 USD per KWH, then it is very profitable, because now the price of BTC is bad, even the price of ETH is very bad. My friend felt frustrated when he was confused about which coin to choose, because this year the price of all cryptocurrency assets declined, while maintenance and operational costs continued to increase.
my conclusion is, mining is now not worth it, I prefer to do business online store if there is no change in cryptocurrency prices

No one will give you an unequivocal answer to your question. It all depends on how much you believe in the future of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. If you believe that cryptocurrency will go up in price over a period of 5-10 years, and you are ready to expect profits from mining in the future, then of course you can mine both Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. If you do not believe that cryptocurrency is the future, and consider mining as speculative earnings, then you need to calculate all costs from electricity to unexpected expenses, and then make a decision.

Seriously, I think that there’s no way to mine BTC in 2018/2019. The Chinese community controls the major part of mining power, so ordinary users can hardly compete with their hubs. Even ASICs aren’t ideal for this goal because you can’t produce enough power to get rewards. I’d suggest mining ETH or other altcoins which aren’t as popular as BTC. Alternatively, you can think about trading – this approach may be highly profitable if you have enough knowledge and some luck. Just compare potential incomes using crypto calculators (https://cex.io/bitcoin-calculator). Surely, both ways are volatile and nobody can guarantee that you will earn a lot. But I think that mining altcoins or trading is better than mining BTC now.

Factors that can affect the growth rate of Bitcoin
Bitcoin is initially positioned as a coin, which does not depend on the authorities and any government. However, any rumors about the possible tight regulation of cryptocurrency are immediately reflected on the market behavior, and on the Bitcoin course in 2018.

For its part, the Bitcoin community is constantly looking for new solutions in order to improve the ecosystem. There are many factors that may affect the forecast of the Bitcoin rate for 2018, but it is worth mentioning among the main ones:

regulation;
disagreements within the Bitcoin community;
demand growth;
speculation.

Just what I'm thinking of. If the price of bitcoin's plummet and price of electricity is going down all in all the profit is close to nothing. Plus the fact that algorithm nowadays gets hard because it closes the max cap.

Well if we are looking for the fact that it is bitcoin and it will be worth it in the long run. Maybe we can try.

It is really expensive this time since the price of the ASICs or mining hardwares are so expensive. Some say that mining is still worth it other say that it is not but I do also believe that this depends on the terms of electricity since there are differences on the electric prices the reason why some miners use solar panels to support their mining rigs.

It is so difficult to answer this question because of the price situation most part of the year which has been bearish. If the market is not improving then there is not point buying equipment and sourcing for energy to to start mining. It will be counter productive doing that. Unless of course you are the producer of the equipment and will also provide the energy to be used. The market situation is not encouraging any one to do that. There is always the bull rally towards the last quarter of the year if that will happen this year and the market improves then mining may be tried again.

mining bitcoin nowadays cannot be used as profit, because bitcoin mining competition is very large, although it produces but mining bitcoin cannot give profit like last year. many miners divert to other coins to be mined.

The prices for powerful mining hardware are high.

Remember that you only make a profit after the ROI. And that can take a long time.

Depending on how warm it is in your country, you only have problems. Mining hardware is loud and you need extra ventilation.

Mining: Loud, high electricity bill, hardware defects, constant checks.
Buy Bitcoin: Put on hardware wallet and wait, you can take care of other things in life.

For some it is also a hobby, that is something else again =).

My question is if it's still worth buying Asic's and start mining BTC in 2018.

If not mine BTC what other coin is it worth to mine nowadays?
The first question you must answer is that “in your country are the price of electricity is reasonable for miners?”if not then forget about mining and just concentrate in trading or holding, thats the safest way to make you money profitable since riskis always in here

BTC mining at this level is going to be very capital consuming. You will need a huge heavy capital to run it to a level that it will be profitable for you. I believe its advisable to look into other top coins to mine with low capital and reasonable profit

I think GPU mining is better than ASIC these days because of the difficulty of mining Bitcoin. Personally, I prefer NiceHash. I use NiceHash on all my rigs and get paid in BTC. Whatever coin they mine, its upto them. Cheers...

With prices ranging from $ 6,000 to $ 7,000, I think bitcoin miners this year can still make a profit. But I think 2018 is a difficult year for bitcoin operators. Due to low price fluctuations and the payment of electricity bills, they make very little profit. But factories continue to build and grow and wait for more volatility in 2019.

it's still worth it to mine BTC. Why? Because that is the main source of BTC. You can mine BTC while investing them to long term trading systems. Don' t invest it on HYIP or Ponzi Websites. You can also earn some BTC in Gambling sites as well. But the best thing is to mine BTC on your own.

Not at all because right now we will experience losses if we start now. between income and also BEP is very long. and risk if our engine will be damaged etc. calculate before you do this year

It is still worth mining bitcoin in 2018, because it will never be too late if you can afford to buy an expensive mining rig and you are ready to pay an expensive electricity bill. If you are ready to invest, it will have a good payback later on but first you must invest. You dont have to worry about the market price because later on if you believe, it will rise.

I don't know yet whether this year bitcoin is still worth mining or not. But in the mining process, you have to consider that the bitcoin that has been mined is 17,048,151 BTC from 21M BTC. This means you can expect to see some serious price increases because the number of BTC available for mining is reduced in the next few years.

Bitcoin mining for now is quite good and efficient because the price are not so bad or low and bitcoin mining is hard because it is like investment you need to expend lot of money to start mining and it is worth it to the future because you didn't have to do trading.

There is no other way to mining BTC other than mining with ASIC nowadays because the mining difficulty is very hard.
If you not mining with ASIC, you won't get any profit. But what the thing i dont like mining with ASIC is, you must update your ASIC from time to time.
If there is a newer ASIC than yours, your profit will be reduced.

Hi,
My opinion on this question is yes. It depends on how you work. If you work hard you will get better result. The value of the bitcoin will fluctuates. Today value is high next day it can be raise.

So, the hard work we do will not betray our results on bitcoin. as long as we are still trying, the opportunity to get better is still there.

this depends on where you are mining, because mining is the most important thing is the high electricity needs so you have to find cheap electricity, when in your country you still have cheap electricity prices then trading is still very valuable.

of course, I will always use it because it is still worth bitcoin use. but, if you want to feel in a profitable continue you can use high power to move it. I'm also sure of the upcoming time, all the chaos that happened yesterday will soon recover as usual in the near future.
My opinion is that in order to productively engage in Bitcoin mining at the present time, we need computing power exceeding asic`s in dozens, and possibly hundreds of times. If you want to do mining at home, then the right choice would be mining alcoins.

The longer, BTC becomes harder to mine, so if you want to mine BTC it doesn't matter, but the profit are small, and take a lot of your time. You may also need very large capital, and compete with BTC mining companies. try to mining altcoin. like XMR / XMV, this coin is resistant to ASIC, so it can maximize the profit of the miners CPU and GPU.

Answer is No.
Unless you meet the following criteria

1. Can get Venture Capitalist to donate millions of dollars to you for a % of the bitcoin mined

Odds are you won't really make any money off of bitcoin mining, but will earn more keeping a % of the VC money as an administrator fee.

It is why you see companies offer cloud mining , they make more money off of the suckers that pay them to mine bitcoin,
than off of mining bitcoins. :P

PoW mining is for chumps and VCs that can throw away millions and not miss it.

for the long term I think bitcoin mining will not be as profitable as before, because difficulty will increase. at this time if the electricity
and maintenance costs are expensive, maybe the benefits you will get are quite small, especially if bitcoin rate is low

the price really dropped. it is not profitable to mine when the market goes down because of the value of coins decreases which affects the selling value. mining requires big capital. preferably, you use your capital to trade or invest.

If it's not BTC, there are still some pennies that can get you mining, but its profit is low and may not be profitable, but if you want to try you have to find and try them, or if you have a Rigs, can you try to use your rig to try to mining profit.

There is no way to allocate 'tickets' into the system without someone trying to create millions so that they can win. There is no easy way to identify 1 person 1 ticket to make the system fair. People will just create software to make it look like millions of people are entering for their chance at the random win but actually it will all be the same person.
This is why mining works, because you can't fake work.

Well, the current mining system is kinda random... It's just that with higher hashpower you have a higher probability of winning the race. But actually finding the answer to the "puzzle" is kinda random process (guessing game). From how I understand your idea, you'd have the same: the more mining power you have, the more chance to get the random reward, so what would be the difference exactly?

The difficulty to mine up Bitcoin will also increase as the number of Bitcoins is still low and there are too many people involved in mining money at the same time. Many investors believe that, compared with trading on the floor, the investment in Bitcoin mining machine will be more profitable. However, today's mining is no longer as convenient as it was before with many difficulties and costs

I read on some forums and facebook groups that mining bitcoin is not profitable now so they convert to altcoins mining. But it still depends on your specs, how much it costs you to build it and your monthly utility bills. Still profitable but I think mining altcoins is more profitable now.

Yeah, however the problem for that is if no one will continue to mine BTC, does BTC still continue to rise? Will it fall or be stable? Someone needs to continue mining BTC not because of their earnings but because of the production of BTC. But you are still correct, Mining altcoins is much better than BTC "alone".

What is Bitcoin Mining and is it Still Profitable in 2018?

Today, in order to be profitable with Bitcoin mining you need to invest heavily in equipment, cooling and storage. It’s not possible to mine profitably with a PC or a GPU at home. You can calculate your profitability using a Bitcoin mining calculator.

The difficulty of the network grows daily, there is no worth to mine bitcoin, but in my opinion, Electrum is a perfect coin for mining.
Still it is profitable I think if the miners stopped working then the bitcoin networl will get clogged becaise of unconfirmed transactions but it isn't right so miners are making some profits from mining bitcoin.

And one more do we have a coin named Electrum? In my knowledge which is wallet name. ???

until now bitcoin has not run out in the mine and there are still many people who are mining bitcoin.
of course this is still beneficial for those who have expertise and techniques to deal with such as too much electricity costs.

There still people who mine bitcoin but for a newbie, you have to give time to search what is better for mining. Though the price is expensive for hardware, I think it is still profitable. You have to find what is good for mining because sometimes it just waste of your time and electricity.
