Title: The market fell sharply, what is going on?
Post by: MasterMoney on February 01, 2018, 06:25:34 PM
The market is falling sharply, I see signs of not healing, capitalization is withdrawn, should I continue to buy in the top 10 coin or should I pin down USDT and wait for new move?  :(

There's still a lot of FUD around previous things, mostly around the tether/bitfinex situation and then facebook ban on crypto ads. Couple that then with new FUD today about India BANNING crypto (India is not banning crypto, please read the news yourself to see this is true).

How much money do you have? If you have more than enough to pay your bills, you may buy more coins. Otherwise, stay at USDT until the market recovers.

There are lots of rumors created against the bitcoin that's why the price of bitcoin keeps falling the recent FUD is that bitcoin was banned in India but I am not seen any official link says that bitcoins was banned there. All I can see that bitcoin was never legal tender there and they want to stop crypto currencies from illegal activities. So we can get that they are going to regulate the crypto currencies but everyone talking as BANNED.These are the reason for price fall.So if you want you can buy now but I hope the price will fall more a little bit.

I wouldn't want to stay in USDT right now given everything that is on going and that is the reason for all this nasty swings it is the FUD, FUD and more FUD. Now of it really should make the market move this much but the fact the media keeps pounding it down our throats, I think some investors get scared off by this. Hoping things will revert back after the Chinese New Years here.

It's the scenario of every year. Market usually suffers a correction in the beginning of the year and gains momentum usually in March end or April. You can see in the graph, there is always a red candle in the start of the year.

Moreover, this time, Wall Street is manipulating the market heavily. Goldman Sachs will get in altcoin trading in may and hedge funds are bullish on crytpos. 2018 will become the best year for cryptocurrencies without any doubt. This is just the patience game going on and panic sellers are getting ruined.

A good amount of correction has already happened and now due to media wrong interpret it is killing the pace which bitcoin should be rising. It is creating a panic among all and thus people are even selling in high losses which is kind of really killing them self. Holding for some time for now will make things more better and also will get the good uprise in Feb itself.

Just hold on. There are lots of FUDS everywhere which do make this market down and we cant really avoid that emotion would really be on here and investors would normally panic on these kind of situations which it do possibly add up the bearish trend on whats happening as of now. Market crashes do happen which we should really not be surprised of . It might even go lower on 7k on bitcoins price and even those top 10 altcoins would really dip too.

The FUD created by the Indian government is going on right now. The market which was already hit by a bearish trap has now been hit by another FUD. People from India are worried about the legal aspects of bitcoin. Even though the finance minister hasn't banned it as of yet but there is strong criticism being done by the government towards all forms of cryptocurrencies. The announcement have made the Indian market down by around 20% today.

Totally agree with this. I keep reading everyone's FUD about crypto and alts collapsing, but we are definitely NOT at that stage. This is the beginning of big money entering crypto and this year is going to be massive. Unfortunately, we have to wait for bitcoin to get its shit together, since alts are (unfortunately) tied to bitcoin's rise and fall.

There is nothing to worry about right now the cryptocurrency is facing now a lot of problems that are affecting the prices, the bigest of them is the regulation, there were many news in the recent days about some governments thinking of banning bitcoin, and others setting heavy taxes on the exchanges, and also the news about the stolen cryptocurrency from the japanese exchange company, that also affected the prices, but as always there is nothing to worry about because soon the market will rise stronger than ever and if you are going to be buying, i guess you suggest the main cryptos like bitcoin and ethereum because those are the ones that will surely rise in the near future.

Sounds like weeding,  seems they are really shaking the tree really hard to remove weak hands in crypto market.  I believe this is another manipulation to gather more Bitcoin.  They knew that bitcoin will really go up in price after this next development so they wanted to get their hands on as many bitcoin they can gather.  I agree that this is a game of patience and those who cannot wait will suffer a great lost.

Same old, same old. First Chiana FUD, then South Korea FUD, now it's the India FUD. When will people learn that this can't really stop bitcoin or crypto. There is also the tether FUD now, although I don't even understand how people can fall for that one. First tether could only represent 1.3% of total bitcoin value, so even if they were a scam they would have no real impact on bitcoin. Also, if they were a scam why on earth would people sell bitcoin to tether lol. They should be buying bitcoin with tether, and not selling BTC.

As for the new India FUD, as usual related to banning exchanges, I just have to say that we really need reliable decentralized exchanges. Once this is done, people will no long fear these type of bans.

Might get under $7500 before we get some gains by the end of February or after the market had finished removing the weak hands from the scene. Same scenario every year, though the presence of a bearish pennant in recent graphs suggest that the momentum of the bulls have finally died out and it's the bears' turn to rule. Some analyses suggest that the bottom will be called out @ $4000, and that is where most of the support are stationed at.  If the bears managed to break down that level, $3500 would be a good baseline before the market aims for another insane rally.

Goldman Sachs has already denied that they'd start on altcoin trading, but said that they're invested in a certain cryptoexchange.

As some of you said, this is another iteration of the same scheme we've seen so many times over and over again.
The negative news will circle around and effectively undermine the faith of people in cryptocurrency.
This is nothing new and all we need is patience and time, bitcoin will reach $20k again this year.

the history of cryptocurrencies is full of moments of strong pump and as many dump, so you just have to be patient and calm and wait for the market to grow again.
Perhaps now is the best time to invest obviously everyone must invest only what is willing to lose.

Yes, this is a vicious cycle that we are seeing again. Prices go up and down momentarily. That's how this market works. The only thing is that you should not be worry because everything can be recovered. We have seen how crypto started from nothing to almost $1T marketcap. Patience and holding is the key here.

Yes. Golden moments for all of us to really enter the market. All of them are in a bargain. My portfolio is already full. But I'm thinking of adding more if the price still goes down in the next couple of days.

This news is still warm and it all leads to the reason in India about the minister of finance that forbid the crypto transaction, but honestly there are many other factors. Or price re-up from the previous which has risen unnaturally.

If I were you and I have funds, Ill keep buying because the dump tat currently happening is a good chance for buying more coins to hodl, unfortunately I had already put my max funds into various coins before dump happen and currently in huge loss so what I can only do by now is wait for the dump to gone and alts to recover.

Just keep calm for a while, please be note that market is very fluctuating. We can see a lot of coins dropping down these days. Price decline and we cant tell when it will lasts to drops. But in this market we have to make a decisions to grow our money so holding is the best.

Be a newbie do not mean this is the first time he or she is hearing about cryptocurrency. Many people hear that are legendary or hero on this forum do not know mush about trading and we have many newbie that have posted  here very useful information about price movement and when to buy or sell.
We can actually see that price is falling today because of the ways the news about India government trying to attack those using cryptocurrencies for an illegal means.  The price has dropped seriously and now provide the best opportunity to buy bitcoin and all others coins at a very low price and you will make serious profit in future.

You do not need to worry about the price recovering it already starts its bumping. This time bitcoin price takes charge to 10k in some days and after some weeks again it reached its original value 15k soon.
this time bitcoin price grows strongly without disturbance from the new fork or anything. That is what I expected this time buddy.

This is a pretty normal recurrence in the life of cryptocurrencies, if you have been following it since its onset. I am no expert but I have been following it since its introduction phase because I once bought it just for the sake of joining NBA betting. I neglected it, and not valued it hence I encashed all of my Bitcoins. Shortly thereafter, in the last quarter of 2016, I realized how powerful cryptocurrencies are especially in that it has a power to multiply your money in a short amount of time. (Short term goals pretty much works here, by the way.) So you see, all you have to do is to gather data and see for yourself how cryptos' movement are. From there you will realize that the sharp dive it had in January 2019 is nothing short of normal.

Yeah I mean that will be a big news in the market however as I observe even a big news can't even affect a little now and I feel there's something up and only the big whales are involved.
Hence, many weak hands are still loosen up and whales won't stop yet until they got all they want.

You are not the only one who are beginning to worry about our investments. And I was just saying "WTF" many times and my wife called my attention and asked me what's the problem was. I said my investments in crypto is down around 40%.

We can only speculate that there are entities working from behind who really wants crypto destroyed. Maybe governments are secretly talking to each other on what to do with it that's why we heard a lot of talks regarding banning bitcoin and crypto for that matter.

There are a lot of articles about bitcoin that influence mpre investors.  Some are bad and some are good.  Nevertheless,  community are still the one dictating prices of our coins.  The demand and supply of such coins  have great contribution as to what is happening now in our graphs.

Drops like this happened before, and will happen again in the future. It's just the normal way for the markets to correct after the huge gains from December.
Nothing new to worry about. Once the weak hands fold, the markets will start to boom again.

Perhaps this is the battle of information, many bad guys are drowning the market by gossiping false and untrue, it is difficult to select news and be sure HOLD.

Well eventually people will get tired of fuds and that's probably when btc will again start to rise again. At the moment, we need to have positive news for crypto especially because more people are aware of it now than last year. And its not only btc but other alts as well. I agree with mr. Mcafee that crypto is here to stay and all these fuds are just delaying the inevitable fact that crypto will be mainstream

I think the bitcoin market is hard to recover. At present, bitcoin is heavily affected by the Korean market, with a large number of traders and investors in Korea. If the Korean government gives a ban on bitcoin trading. bitcoin prices will fall sharply in the future. Currently, Korea has not yet decided to officially close the transaction floor in the country. But Korean investors fear, so the bitcoin trade has fallen sharply.

This has increased the price reduction. Who did not have time to sell timely, just wait for the price increase.

What's with all this "hoping for positive news"? Why do you care about what governments say about bitcoin good or bad? Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin so that we could avoid those centralized authorities and their power. Their power over Bitcoin is simply an illusion. Bitcoin is already decentralized. The only power they have over it is the power you give them. Hopefully the next wave of investors might "get it".

Do not worry about what's going on, you should divide your investment into many parts. Set goals and invest every penny when it drops to a new target. Will help you reduce the risk and do not worry too much about what will happen later.

I am really sad when the altcoin fell sharply. I think they will continue to decrease in the future. As the altcoin drops, people like to buy into. But in this reduction, the altcoin is experiencing major problems. I think the altcoin will continue to decrease. Should not buy at this time. Many countries have in turn introduced policies to block altcoin-related transactions.

There's still a lot of FUD around previous things, mostly around the tether/bitfinex situation and then facebook ban on crypto ads. Couple that then with new FUD today about India BANNING crypto (India is not banning crypto, please read the news yourself to see this is true).

Yes, those FUD made the bitcoins and altcoin very hard to recover. At this point, long holder is the only way to do.
But of if you not able to do that, then you have to do a cut loss, then buy again at the dip.

I believe it is only normal for crypto to have a crash long term, because we all agree that bitcoin is being used more for profit therefore having a yearly downfall should be expected. It happens most of the year and believe me after this a massive profit is waiting for us, you just need to wait until they reaches their lowest point then after that buying as much as you can would be the best thing to do.

If China goes ahead with this ban, it could send the global cryptocurrency markets into freefall because it would effectively stop 1.3 billion people from getting involved in an unregulated, hugely volatile sector with the potential to grant people huge wealth – or leave them facing disastrous ruin.

Just wait and be patient. Where darkness is, there is light.

We can see that the market is down due to bad news coming in with bitcoin and other coins. China has recently issued a ban on all activities related to bitcoin in the country, and he has also cut down on the trading of Chinese exchanges. Also, I think part of this decline is due to profit taking by Asian investors before their holidays.

These are just fuses created against bitcoins. No country ban bitcoins recently due to which we can say they have lost their values. All those countries who had banned bitcoins from the start of its development haven’t taken off this ban. And neither any other new country ban them. So no worry to take care about it, relax and be determined with what you have. Be confident on your investment.

Everyday I see people talk blablabla about Bitcoin being highly volatile, but still when price rate for BTC starts falling, they start panicking and saying all sort nonsense that will piss you off. The reason the price of Bitcoin is falling sharply is because of those people that are always withdrawing all their money because of they are afraid and don’t want to lose money. After they will come back and tell you Bitcoin is highly volatile.

Goldman Sachs will get in altcoin trading in may and hedge funds are bullish on crytpos.

Do you have any sources for this claim? This would indeed be a game changer, even though not very clear what would happen next...

Yeah I mean that will be a big news in the market however as I observe even a big news can't even affect a little now and I feel there's something up and only the big whales are involved.
Hence, many weak hands are still loosen up and whales won't stop yet until they got all they want.

Well, if Goldman Sachs is going to get involved then I would not be surprised them already manipulating the market to tank prices and load cheap coins in stealth mode ;)

Every start of the year, the market experiences recalibration in price. This is a normal situation. The market price adjusts since it came from a peak price from the latter part of last year. It usually recover midyear and rises as it approaches the month of October or November. Do not panic. Cryptomarket is naturally volatile and will experiences all kinds of pumps and dumps.

You are a very experienced person. I thank you very much for spending time sharing that with me and my friend-Newbie. The market is recovering strongly, hoping that my account will increase in mid-2018.

Hope that your belief will comfort all the Newbie like me and others, hoping that the market will recover strongly.

Indeed it is important and this is the only tool that can save people from such losses. You may heard hundred and thousands of the stories of traders who lost badly. And they mourn after this loss and when asked, they often said they didn’t had stabled in hard times. When prices are going down somehow, people start getting panic and think may be their coin is going to zero, but you must relax at that time.

I even believe cryptocurrencies are here to stay even though not all of them but at least if you are sure of your holdings, there should be no need to be perfect. I remember the value of some of these coins earlier last year, in fact this down trend was like a huge uptrend back then, but now, those who held long at those prices are having a good time in the market right now. At the end, those who hold, buy at dips like this, are always the ones to get the good profit at the end.

Obviously, they are good at reading emotions from the chart and greed was written all over it, and to get back at the best price, causing a stir in the market, making use of the media and manipulating was just the best way for them to go about it.

I think you should calm down and hold your altcoin. Much anticipation in 2018 will be the boom year for the crypto market. Just in early 2018, bitcoin prices and other altcoin are slowly recovering. You should not rush to sell your altcoin. I believe in future Bitcoin will increase to $ 50,000. Wish you success in the crypto market.

I heard, now the market is down because of blocking all about Bitcoin on Facebook, so investors are less informed and also the prohibition of almost all countries that Bitcoin is illegal.

It seems that the government has intervened strongly in technical money, hoping Crytopia will thrive and not be held back, I have a strong belief in it.

Just hodl my brothers and sisters, this kind of thing always happens. Theres not much to do about it really.

There is some interesting regulation in the US coming down the pipe too - but they seem to have a "dont fuck with it until we understand it" attitude which is extremely nice compared to how it was before
Just as simple and easy as it sounds. No one has ever seen a market without its trend changing. Bitcoin trend changed from uptrend to downtrend, so there is nothing to always worry one self about. This is a normal thing in the market and before we even know it, we will end up having a rally, breaking resistances and testing new ATHs very soon. Most times, it is just best to pick up some popcorn and be watching as event unfolds.

Most especially when we ended up having a massive rally turning to something else and beginning to get scary, it is just normal to have the market correct it hugely.

It was expected anyway, so there is nothing to worry about. The market is even strong enough to be bouncing a little bit back now, although no one can really tell for now, until the trend changes fully, but for now, let's just know that after a huge dip, there is always a great bounce back.

I have lost a lot of money in crypto, but I do not panic, because I understand very well about trading risk, do not put all your funds in trading, leave some for your life,  ;D
At the end, those who hold, buy at dips like this, are always the ones to get the good profit at the end.
yeah you are right, the crypto currencies are worth to hold and most of the crypto has the potential to give profits in long terms. But we don't have to confuse and panic about the temporary bumps and dumps because it is just normal nature of crypto currencies.

Lol. I wonder why you all expatiate something to be big out of nothing.
For heaven sake, you need to start filtering where you may be hearing some of these things if you want to live long in this cryptocurrency space because those things like this ones will definitely mar your pocket in the long run and you will regret it.

This has nothing to do with Facebook, they only revisited their ads policy, and then gave reasons but normally a lot of people only read the headlines and leave out the contents. Bitcoin is here to stay and anyone who does not believe that should not even be here.

This is good thinking when the market feel sharply we dont have to be panic. Let's be keep in mind that it always happen as before price may dump and as may pump. Patience is important hold as you were think on it price can grow again.

So many people has the same experience before and now its happen again then why they still panic? I dont understand.
I dont panic at all. I prefer to be patient and stay away from trading activity for while if the price fell. Then we will be ready when the price goes up again

If we know this is manipulation of whales then why so many people still panic and sell their coin? Confusing
If we understand the way and learning from experience then never being panic because panic will make you suffering with great lose like you said. Remember that

It is because of those whales again, or the bears who are playing mind games to newbies and inexperienced cryptocurrency traders to go FUD mode and selling their tokens for cash. Another reason is those influencers who are saying something bad about cryptocurrency that made them decide to dump their digital assets.

However, it is just a healthy correction as the bull run is set to commence after the recent dump just like what happened in the mid-January to early February bloodbath.

I agree with you that crypto is here to stay and all these fuds are just delaying the inevitable fact that crypto will be mainstream
Yeah, positive news right now will really help give a good buying momentum into the crypto environment. For a while now though, I have been getting to see some of this, and it seems the tide of negative news is changing gradually to the positive ones, so that is a good sign that the market may really recover pretty soon. With the segwit adoption that is increasing as users are beginning to see the benefit, then I believe that better days are coming for bitcoin.

The market is falling sharply, I see signs of not healing, capitalization is withdrawn, should I continue to buy in the top 10 coin or should I pin down USDT and wait for new move?  :(

Now is the time for you to buy good coin, and after a few months you will get results after waiting days, believe me.
Most investors right now already know that and they are eagerly waiting for that moment to come, the market dropping hard is more like a shopping time most of the time, so it is normal to see it recover after some time and then seeing a new rally springing up to the uptrend. It is all a matter of patience as most times, that is always all you need to get a good result in the long run.

Fall sharply means buy more and profit more. Like most traders will always say, sell when there is a huge FOMO and buy back when there is a huge panic. It is a normal way to make good use of the crypto world to make some good gains, at the end of the day, with that you can never miss it. However, for someone who is in a long position, there is usually no need to worry and this should be a best time to buy and hold pretty good position for the long of it.

This news is still warm and it all leads to the reason in India about the minister of finance that forbid the crypto transaction, but honestly there are many other factors. Or price re-up from the previous which has risen unnaturally.
Yes. India is a major contributor to bitcoin prices, but a number of other factors have also affected the price of bitcoin. The Korean government has introduced more restrictive policies in the crypto market, and they have banned bitcoin and ICO ads. and some other causes. But today bitcoin prices have recovered, reaching the $ 10,000 mark, prices have gradually stabilized.

Title: Re: The market fell sharply, what is going on?

Moreover, this time, Wall Street is manipulating the market heavily. Goldman Sachs will get in altcoin trading in may and hedge funds are bullish on crytpos. 2018 will become the best year for cryptocurrencies without any doubt. This is just the patience game going on and panic sellers are getting ruined.

The market is turning green, do not worry, believe in BTC, its value will increase many times.

I trust it is typical for crypto to have a crash long haul, since we as a whole concur that bitcoin is being utilized more for benefit in this manner having a yearly destruction ought not out of the ordinary. It happens the majority of the year and trust me after this a monstrous benefit is sitting tight for us, you simply need to hold up until the point that they achieves their most reduced point then after that purchasing as much as you can would be the best activity.

I think you should withdraw as soon as the market drops. You should invest in altcoin when its price is drastically reduced and sell immediately at high prices. If you are greedy, you will be swallowed by whales. I think the goal of the whales is to kill the greedy prey in the crypto market and you should watch out for that. That is my experience when entering the crypto market is 5 months. Hope you will make a wise decision.

If you really trust the crypto, be patient and do not rush to leave it. The first months of the year are often thought to be the time of discharge or fall into the red. It's always the right time to buy. By refusing this point, you probably will not have the chance to buy crypto at low prices. This time in 2017 bitcoin prices are only at 2k-3k and it made great things in December. But the decision is yours, consider it.

The fact is that news can be very important, but it can be manipulated by big guys, needing to select the news carefully.

It is quite expected that btc is volatile and up and down will keep happening. BTC require some positive news from across the world now to move up and this is not happening to move up in price. Thus selling pressure is getting higher on this account and price is dropping a bit.

I think all bans are temporary because no one can block investors from entering the Cryptocurrency market because they do not want to be controlled by the government and want financial freedom that no one can know. Personally, if I was banned I would continue to participate in this market as it is still considered the most potential market in the world

I like your attitude. It's like with the exchange bans in Korea or China before. They want to harm exchanges a little bit from making too much money. Money is power and governments and institutions are losing it. So of course they would ban crypto, until they find a way how to profit from that. Taxes will just be a first step, government-owned cryptos the second... and so on!

Governments bans are useless in internet because you are only responsible person for your own freedom in net. Financial freedom is not something that can be given person should earn it no matter how governments gonna to act about cryptos or on other sector of financial markets. The market fall will not  happen if  governments accept power and features of blockchain technology.

Crypto doesn't become "doomed" overnight, therefore it makes no sense to sell anything just because of that. If you think logically, it makes zero sense to sell in current lower market at all.

If you haven't sold at peak levels last year, then why bother selling at much lower levels right now? If you sell now while you didn't during peak times, you let this lower market sentiment get the better of you.

It's called panic selling. If people think that crypto is "doomed" anyway, then why did anyone even bother to invest in crypto in the first place? Is it greed? Is it a pure gamble? Fomo?

This is true that bitcoin market is falling sharply and there is no sign of relief from past 2 days but that does not mean that bitcoin would not recover . As some degree of improvement in the price is seen everyday after a big fall . Many reasons have contributed to this event such as some governments opposing bitcoin ( which seems to be quite normal to hear everyday ) and some big sell offs .  But I would still recommend you to continue to invest in the top 10 coins , there is no harm in that as sooner or late there is going to be a hike in the price.

When there is no V formation in the chart, a 100% retracement or more,  on higher time frame. there Will be no change ! So wait for a V formation and then wait for a weak pulback. This is a Lil help for the once who Are blindly buying the dips and lose money Because the downtrend is not over yet !

Revival of the high prices of bitcoin and other useful coins is guaranteed since we know the fact that crypto market is volatile and nothing here last forever, neither dumps nor pumps. From my point of view, it is great time for increasing your collection of coins which you think can make you rich in the near future when market will be blooming at peak. For bitcoin lovers, it is the perfect time to jump into bitcoin community.

Bitcoin price instability can we use to gain profit, for me it is actually a positive thing because then I can take many opportunities. Without price changes it would be difficult to take a chance, yes in this price movement we can conclude that there is a positive value and there is also a negative value, it depends on everyone who does it. There are many of my friends who feel that this is a strange thing, but look at the history that the price in the world crypto does have this characteristic. The world of crypto always offers a very fast price movement, the slightest news about the situation and regulation can change the price of coin very quickly.

There doesn't need to be a reason for every single crash, market simply got to a high, now its going to a low. Probably a good time to buy if you believe in the resilience of crypto. Or a good time to sell if you think crypto is doomed.

Well, that's easy said! There are a lot of people here who bought BTC at 1000$ or even less. For those, anything is profit. They can take risks and all they have to lose is amount of profit (that is ,  volatility on their guaranteed profit). For those who started later (and bought BTC at much higher price), I really have a hard time to imagine anyone who can "systematically" profit from volatility of BTC.
The point is everytime BTC falls, you never know if it will fall more or it will recover. Technical analysis of BTC price doesn't tell about BTC. Every time BTC falls and you buy some , you hope it will recover at least up to the same level as you bought it. But for BTC that's very hard to guarantee , especially now!!
The hype /bubble of late2017/early2018 is gone!

Yes, there have been a lot of things that have had a big impact on this market recently.

China has banned the use of cryptocurrency, South Korea has imposed controls, hackers have attacked the currency exchange, and Google has banned the encryption of money advertisements, which have had a bad effect on the market. At present, the market is in a bear market, I suggest that it is best to wait and see for some time.

I would say there are only few people who understand this strategy but those who really understand this will always bless with profits.  ;)

How do you know that?
Sure! You might have already made a lot of profit from that volatility. But this time there is absolutely no guarantee for BTC to rise again.
BTC value is just in the mind of people (it has almost absolutely no intrinsic value. All those tokens/ICO out there, maybe just 1% has led to real success).
If people's general opinion about BTC turns over (I mean people around the world, especially in Asia), there is no return back for BTC.

People rushed into buying BTC because they saw its price was exponentially going high (and that made the price even higher).
Not anymore! It has now ups and downs , almost unpredictably.
People's opinion has changed drastically. Some very big financial organization have warned their customers about the big fall.

I mean I hope otherwise. But I really don't see any reason to believe it.

Well if you are aiming for long term gains, then buying from time to time still a good decision, as bitcoin will rise eventually, don't do some short if you don't have the skills, it is too risky and the sway will kill your investment, keep on monitoring and decide what type of investors you are before deciding
and place your entry, no need to panic what we need is to read and understand the situations.

You are not the only one who are beginning to worry about our investments. And I was just saying "WTF" many times and my wife called my attention and asked me what's the problem was. I said my investments in crypto is down around 40%.

Drops like this happened before, and will happen again in the future. It's just the normal way for the markets to correct after the huge gains from December.
Nothing new to worry about. Once the weak hands fold, the markets will start to boom again.

I think there needs to be faith and for alcoins the chance of recovery, my move will embrace the coin potential and good foundation.

There are more and more goverments are banning this market. The most serious one is in China and South Korea which make Bitcoin lose so much big investors .
More and more main exchanges of Bitcoin are getting hacked which cause to the huge BTC lost throwing out back to other exchanges , so the dump was came as a natural thing.

What you say is true but those are the actions of someone that has complete faith and a very deep knowledge about what bitcoin is about, that does not describe your average investor or trader when they see the market is dropping they panic and they think this is it and that the market is finally going to crash and that they are going to lose all their money, of course that never happens and the only ones which lose money are themselves and all of those that panicked like them.

Right. The bad news given during this time is mostly due to some organizations and individuals wanting to influence the market in their intentions. Periodically, the market will stabilize again in April and May so you can now choose some good low cost altcoin to invest in.

Going up quickly is very dangerous we should go up accordingly with some good dumps that makes good support in a particular price. This time i think it will be stay below $9k and might possibly another one big downtrend before it will go up. So for the mean time its advisable to wait and observe on the market with any possible break down to sell out your position if you are doing a short term trade.

When bitcoin suddenly touch 20k dollars, it was a golden chance for all those investors who bought bitcoin when it was a lot cheaper, to earn big profits so they sold out few coins. Now whenever a selling takes place, the price does not remain the same. It drops. This is very common in the world of digital coins. Besides, bitcoin needed rest and the holders too. But this is not the end of world. Actually we have only witness the glimpse of its true power.

The FUD in the media plays some role without a doubt, however if the price of bitcoin was going up the no one will listen to what the media says and we will be concentrated on what was the price doing but since the prices are going down and the price going down because it was needed because bitcoin was in the middle of a bubble then the media is taking advantage of this and spreading a bunch of bad news that is sinking the market even further.

Dumping lol you don't even know what are dumps, cause if a coin has a huge pump it will also have huge dump. There are no signs of what you are talking about it is a matter of gut that should take advantage of that if you right to something then don't hesitate not in a statistical manner cause it usually does not work all the way through.

I don’t know for sure but as of recent, I see a bit of recovering. The market has started recovering from what I’m seeing and the current price is already close to $9000. I don’t know what happens next for sure, but I just pray that it continues to go up from here and reach another high price as some has predicted. I once came across a post this week that claims the price likely might reach the price rate of $15,000 around April. Let’s just have patience and see if that’ will happen. But I’m saving all I’ve got.

Oh well... Twitter began blocking crypto ads on Tuesday 27th March 2018, as it became the latest internet giant to crack down on the digital assets, following on from the decision by Google and Facebook.
It will also ban adverts relating to cryptocurrency wallets, initial coin offerings (ICOs) and token sales globally.

This decision has triggered the price of bitcoin to plunge on Monday 26th March from $8,316.45 to $8,049.63, and other cryptocurrency reacted similarly to the news.

Best time to stock up your coins.

It's funny how people complain whenever Bitcoin goes down but they are forgetting how it went up last year.

I think the people who are complaining are the ones who probably bought on margin and got stopped out.

Look at the stock markets. They are all in a similiar position also.

This is a much needed correction and nothing to panic about.

It is better to be out of the market. To be in USDT or USD and observe. This will prevent unnecessary losses. You will have time to buy coins again. It is important not only to get income, but also not to receive losses.

Thats completely wrong step. What if you are in the USDT and then the prices for the coins start rising again? When you will buy then? After getting the prices spiked and then again people will start crying about the losses they got because of USDT holdings. I know the prices for USDT is set to $1 buck but thats like making you funds restricted to one stop and no spiking effect for the same. The prices are moving up and down with sharpness and yo util have no time to re-buy what you have sold. I know opposite effect can also happen but we know very well one day everything will be back to normal. So why complicate the situation.

There are only 2 ways to explain what happening with crypto market:
1. Bitcoin/altcoins Bubble explove
2. Whales cash out profile from previous months and let the market crash with control
I think ways 1 is not happen because crypto is too new and will not die easily, so keep buying and we will get pay off soon :D

It is entirely possible that both of those options are happening at the same time also there are probably even more options, recently the futures market was created and after that the price of bitcoin began to go lower and lower, so it is very likely that the governments around the world are trying to do to bitcoin the same that they are trying to do with gold.

How many times have I said to myself: do not rush, there will still be time for the price of a coin to go down, and many times I've been wrong. When you are in the USD, you need to keep a very close watch so that you "have time to jump on a rocket".

probably when btc will again start to rise again. At the moment, we need to have positive news for crypto especially because more people are aware of it now than last year. And its not only btc but other alts as well.

This is still part of the market's up and cycle and nothing new. This market downtrend might be prolonged due to some negative factors that continues to affect the prices but this will be temporary. Presently, bitcoin price has briefly reached the $10k before it fell down to $9700 and this prove can go up anytime. If there are no negative factors in the days ahead, bitcoin will continue its uptrend.

Do not need to buy at a fall in prices. It is better to wait until it is over and the trend changes to a growing one. If you buy during the fall and the downtrend will continue, it will make you nervous and make bad decisions that can lead to some losses

I think crypto market just correction and will be going up again in next a few day,  Just stay relax because crypto market has big change to bullish  again,  crypto  community is bigger and I dont think so the price will continue drop again after the price in the support or in the bottom.

Just holding the coins and investing further more while can get good prices. The market will recover for sure and expecting big profits in 4 quarter. Eventual  further drop will not bother me  as I am long term investor.

Well don’t think of this in a bad way, think about the positives. It’s a perfect time to get some more money invested into this. If you have all your bills and food paid for why not put some more money into this? That's exactly what crypto should be. It shouldn't be your main source of income unless you're an expert trader. Just dump what little extra you can, and cash out when it's green, and repeat.

Yes, in a way the wait outside the market until it will starts up again is a great way to be safe and cut your losses. But if everyone was to do the same then you'd only contribute to the market downtrend overall, wouldn't you? But I suppose in this community some people take the risks and continue on whilst others dodge and go for a safer exit.

For now I think the market is recovering because seeing from All Time Down in 2018 is about $ 5,800 = 1 Bitcoin and now Bitcoin's price reaches $ 8,000

But many say the market is now down trend, and hopefully this is my turning point to go up the price. cheerrrsss   :)
