Just a clarification.  The first  bitcointalk announcement thread was posted by core developer Bruce on Jan 23, 2018. That thread got deleted accidentally and I am now re-posting a
new thread to restore the announcement.  I am not core developer, only a community member, but I will work closely with Marinecoin core developer team to update  information in this thread accordingly.

Update on 2018.02.16:  Marinecoin core developer Bruce discussed  on this huge 450,000 coins airdrop that the current offer was roughly worth $30 USD in the exchange.
Core team intend to cap the airdrop offer at $30 USD.  In other word, if the MTC price rise 10x,  you are not likely to receive $300 USD airdrop, either the amount of coins will be cut or requirement of work will increase.   In that sense, the earlier to join the airdrop to become seed member, the better.

Update on 2018.02.16: core developer Bruce clarified new rule for the airdrop in DISCORD.  There will be new requirement of Facebook account linking in order to
prevent spammers as part of proof of promotion.  If you do not have facebook account, you can still qualify by signing up new account and linking up 30 friends in Facebook.
Similarly, Marinecoin airdrop does not require any member level of bitcointalk account and any newbie will qualify.  The only requirement of proof of promotion is
promoting, marketing or developing Marinecoin as shown in several bitcointalk posts and existence  in Facebook or other social media network.

Update on Feb 18, 2018 from DISCORD discussion:   Marinecoin core developer  @Bruce_Wayne disclosed quite many background of Marinecoin,  its exchange f1cx, Marinecoin foundation and its core developer team over past 1 month since the relaunch on Jan 23, 2018.   Bruce indicated that the current Marinecoin core developer team is mainly
a private school IT department, its students and faculties.   Some of team members will be disclosed after the 20,000 seed ICO campaign is completed.  The current core developer team and Bruce himself are developing Artificial Intelligence applications around Marinecoin heavily.   Specifically, Bruce disclosed that he was heavily developing an AI engine called Jarvis with other core developers for a lot FUN recently.  Jarvis is an Artificial Intelligence engine that can automatically maintain the Marinecoin payment network while freeing up a lots of manual tasks from core developers.

I myself and many other members raised some concerns on the nature of huge airdrop in that 90% of maximum supply will be airdropped to 20,000 community members so that there are not many portion of coins or funding left for core development.  Bruce replied in DISCORD that first of all Marinecoin is decentralized coin for the the community and driven by community.  Second of all, Marinecoin foundation made lots of money in the past several years by investing into bitcoin, litecoin and dogecoin so that some of cost such as  internal exchange operation and part of core development can be paid by Marinecoin Foundation.  Bruce indicated that the current plan of airdrop percentage is adequate from funding point of view and Marinecoin foundation will maintain its nature of low cost operation moving forward.

It was discarded in 2015, but the team that is now developing this currency was the same as 2015? And will new features be implemented in Marinecoin 2018?

The technology has been upgraded.  But the old coin can still be imported into new wallet.  I think old wallet no longer works.

Update on Feb 19, 2018 on DISCORD Channel:   Core Developer  Bruce disclosed today that they transferred large amount of hot wallet coins to cold wallet to protect the coins stored in f1cx exchange.  The activity can be seen from Marinecoin blockchain network (https://explorer.marinecoin.info/).

Core Developer Bruce raised some concerns that majority of Marinecoin airdrop receivers are keeping their coins at the f1cx exchange.  For security, it is usually recommended to withdraw coins to own wallet.

Bruce also indicated that in order to encourage seed members to store their coins in their own wallet, Bruce and his team is looking into changing airdrop distribution method. In stead of giving coins to exchange account,  they are exploring methods of creating a paper wallet, and then distribute airdrop coins to paper wallet address. Of course, airdrop receivers can always trade MTC coins in exchange or transfer the coins from paper wallet to computer wallet.  Bruce indicated that paper wallet coin distribution could be very efficient way of airdropping coins without too much of manual work on staffs.

I think using AI to make payments makes a lot more sense. I think it is an ecological friendly project that will help to ensure that no more resources are used than is absolutely necessary. With global warming on the rise, using less resources in innovation is the future.

Just think of all the people involved in the various payment systems today...that is a lot of resources and human labor.

I really think this project, if they keep developing it, can amount to the standard of payment networks in the future.

UPDATE on Feb 22, 2018 from DISCORD Channel:   The Marinecoin DISCORD channel had quite a stir today as one user claimed that he/she transferred 1 million MTC coins from
one wallet to another wallet and found out the transfer fee was zero.   The user and other members were freaked out and asked core developer Bruce if this was too good to be true.    It turned out that the user found out this when he/she purchased 1 million marinecoins from the exchange and was trying to test out the low fee/fast speed claims of Marinecoin.

Core developer and one of the original creators of Marinecoin Bruce Wayne explained in DISCORD that Marinecoin can handle 1 million transactions and current load is nothing for MTC. Bruce further explained that 2000 transactions can theoretically be handled at the slowest power save mode with 2 to 4 CPUs for the Marinecoin network.  On a busy hours 500 million transactions can be handled. Bruce said his team tested 4 blocks per second, the cost doesn't go up that much really. It is pretty eco-friendly. The core blockchain technology  that Marinecoin network utilize to achieve blazingly fast speed and super low transaction fees  is called "dynamic hashing" algorithm where the network will adjust the hashing power so that it can maintain low mining fees and fast speed.  This blockchain of Marinecoin is dramatically different from bitcoin network.  Bitcoin miners are using super huge hashpower to fight for mining reward while pushing up the fees in heavy traffic.  Bruce re-assured everyone that he is very confident that Marinecoin blockchain network can scale up comfortable when the user bases and transactions grow in the future.

Marinecoin airdrop does require Proof of Promotion, which includes like and follow Facebook account.   It was implemented fairly recently.  When the airdrop started last month,
facebook promotion was not required at the beginning.

Quite many reported this issue in DISCORD.  I am raising this issue to Bruce and hope the core team can improve the web site.

In the mean time,  you can try out windscribe with chrome,  a free VPN and proxy software.  Usually when you use windscribe, the web page problem goes away.

For now, I don't know whether this issue is web server ISP related, or the client side firewall related blocking.

Just to clarify. The project wasn't abandoned or discarded by the dev team in 2015. The problem was, when Mt GOX happened, it crashed the entire crypto market, MTC included. Because of this, the marinecoin mining community abandoned the project because the price dropped so much it wasn't profitable. The Dev team has since developed a way so the project will no longer need to solely rely on miners to operate the marinecoin network.

Personally very excited for this project to begin getting traction. A fully community driven coin. If you have ideas for improving marinecoin just pop in the discord/telegram and bring them up or just implement them!

Update on Feb 24, 2018 from DISCORD Channel:  Core Developer Bruce explained a bit more on what happened on 2015 delisting of MTC.  After market crashed
in 2015, many miners abandoned marinecoin because it was not profitable while all the listing exchanges closed shop. Since then,  the core dev changed the marinecoin core code so that miners will never be able to stop Marinecoin again.   Bruce explained that people should forget everything they know about mining classical mined coins as marinecoin concept and code is different.   Marinecoin network is low energy consumption in that miners can mine all day long for next two years and find every block, but the reward is still less than what he/she can obtain through this 450,000 MTC airdrop. Bruce further explained that marinecoin network has unique hash power adjustment method not only to adjust hashing energy level, but also be able to protect against potential evil mining attacks.   It is misconception for many people to believe that hashing power or huge energy cost is the only way to protect security of blockchain as bitcoin does.  In a disastrous situation,  MTC network preserve the alternative method such as forking against mining attacks.  As long as users maintain the *.dat file and private key, the MTC coins in the wallet are safe against any future attacks.   

Bruce further disclosed an exciting news about Jarvis coin ICO after the completion of Marinecoin 20,000 seed member airdrop.   1 MTC  will be equal to 10000 Jarvis coin.   Bruce suggested that all Marinecoin members to HODL on their MTC coins unless they absolutely have to sell.  Bruce further explained that this is proprietary information, it was too early to tell details of Jarvis coin now.  The core dev team wouldn't want to get out good ideas to others at this moment.  As we all know from earlier disclosure from Bruce that Jarvis is an artificial intelligence engine that maintains Marinecoin network.  We can speculate that this new Jarvis coin is likely to be an AI related coin that has to do with this Jarvis engine.  This is truly very big news for many MTC owners to HOLD on our coins so that we can automatically obtain this new Jarvis coin in the future!

Core dev Bruce announced change in DISCORD today on the procedure of 450,000 marinecoin airdrop.  The requirement of Facebook is relaxed.  Any social media
promoting is OK, Facebook , Twitter or any important social media in their own countries would be OK.  Another change is that airdropped coins will no longer be deposited into exchange account.  In stead, only wallet address can receive the airdrop of 450,000 marinecoins.

Bitcointalk deleted the original Marinecoin Announcement thread and the french marinecoin announcement thread as well.... since Bruce_wayne's handle created both, his account was also banned for a time, i'm not sure how long i'm assuming 30 days or so.

The dev team communicates with the community through a pseudonym "Bruce Wayne" in the Discord/telegram channels, they wish to remain anonymous and i personally have no problems with that as i've invested no money. It's an Airdrop, they are Airdropping 90% of the total supply. It costs you nothing. All they have been willing to release about their identity is that the majority of the Dev team is from an IT department of a university that will remain anonymous. Some of the Dev's may reveal themselves once the ICO is completed.

Why does legitimacy require a seasoned bitcointalk account? I'm sure it would put your mind at ease as you have legendary status and are surely a huge advocate of this platform... I personally really don't like this forum and how much weight it carries in the alt coin ICO/Airdrop circle, but since it has been established as this powerful entity in the crypto-sphere we have little choice but to use it.

If you really care to learn more about this coin, which i encourage you to do, it's truly a great project. Hop in the discord and have a discussion with the Dev teams handle @Bruce_Wayne, they're pretty busy working minor issues raised by the community but they hop on daily for discussions anyway.

Seriously, you have nothing to lose but an insignificant portion of your time and you get 450000 MTC.

Hey knuckey thanks for going through the process. I know it's not the easiest.

To make sure everything took correctly, Send your trouble ticket via email to info@marineco.in ....you should include the email address you registered with at the least and explain what happened. That email goes to the Dev team and they will be able to action off it and let you know what your next steps should be. Last time i used it they responded in a couple hours. Although at this hour i think they are probably sleeping, i believe they are located somewhere in western europe.

The moderators in the telegram/discord channels can help with the ICO steps but we do not have website admin rights as we are just volunteers, so the devs will have to help with this issue.

Hey green, welcome to the community! I don't disagree with you, I wasn't a fan of the process either...but please don't let it deter you, it truly is a great project. The best part being it's community driven, so you can hop in the discord (https://discord.gg/C6JnDJv) or telegram (https://t.me/MarinecoinMTC) and propose changes to the process. If they are reasonable and logically make sense the Dev team will make changes, they have been good about that so far.

With regards to the logo, some community members have already started working on a newer better version. The mock ups i've seen are pretty dope.

I believe the screenshot requirement came about because some ICO participants had their bitcointalk posts deleted and the links to them no longer worked. I guess screen shots were the answer to this issue? Not too sure, i'm just a community member as well. Hope to see you in the channels soon!

Update (Feb 27, 2018) on DISCORD Channel:  Today a new member jonn joined Marinecoin DISCORD and had a very good Q&A conversation with Core Dev Bruce Wayne.  In this conversation, Bruce disclosed quite many new exciting information on MTC's past, present and future.  

Bruce first addressed concerns on the supply of old Marinecoin issued in 2013  and explained that the total supply of old Marinecoin should be only around 150,000 MTC or  only tiny amount compared to 9.7 billion current total MTC supply. Yes, these old coins still exist today but they are insignificant.  

Bruce further stressed that Marinecoin is community based coin and there is no boss in this project and Marinecoin blockchain is controlled by guardians. Anyone can become a member of guardianship program with 10 million MTC signed wallet.

On the future of Marinecoin, Bruce said that "we will have Jarvis ICO after the completion of this 20,000 MTC seed members. We will offer Jarvis to up to 1 million people and 1 MTC = 10,000 Jarvis."   On Jarvis coin project, Bruce said that "you have to be a member of the guardianship program to access proprietary information about the project. You will need to buy 10 million MTC either from exchange or investor ICO  and finish the seed node verification process with your privately owned domain name. That domain name is hard coded in all GUI wallets. The minimum requirement is you operate at least full seed node and link a sub domain to that seed node."   Bruce explained that  all wallets are nodes but not all are seed nodes. The GUI wallet initial sync  and connection can only occur by a trusted full seed node, which only come from certified guardianship program. Guardianship is for life as long as the guardian maintains the server with current costs around 5 USD a month. Guardianship improves Marinecoin decentralization and removes the ability of making code changes that may harm the value of the MTC in the wallet. However, marinecoin network won't be slowed down even if no one signs up for guardianship.


Jonn asked if it is the plan to get the coin into daily life and how should  marinecoin and Jarvis coin being used for.   Bruce answered that  the question should really be "Does it have value?"   Marinecoin can be used anyway today or be converted to USD.  Marinecoin  can be used in any situation from nano payments between two lot with nearly zero fees to general use such as bitcoin.  Jarvis coin is part of Marinecoin it won't affect inflation.  One can only convert existing MTC to Jarvis. No Jarvis will be issued.  it will be created by sending MTC or destoyed by sending Jarvis to MTC.  1 MTC is 10,000 Jarvis.

Bruce:  "we will have hundreds of coins in the future for different interests and countries all issued by sending MTC.  You will be able to create a jonncoin by sending MTC and distribute it to anyone with your logo and they will be exchanged at any market where Marinecoin is accepted. "

At end of conversation between jonn and Bruce, Bruce further disclosed  on the latest airdrop progress that Marinecoin seed membership surpassed 2000 last week. There are already 4000 f1cx exchange registrations and nearly 2500 of them are members in the Marinecoin forum.  Bruce also indicated that core dev team have all these people’s contact information SMS and emails and will start a massive campaign to motivate the community in the future.  

Withdrawing the coins to wallet is better than keeping at exchange.  Make sure that you back up the wallet file in separate computer or drive to be safe.

Hey Knuckey, Yes Pangrango is correct. The more global the currency is the better for the community! I think it's been getting a lot of english posts so another language would be a breath of fresh air.

One word of caution, some other language threads on Bitcointalk do not get nearly as many posts as the english threads. I would recommend maybe only doing 2 of the 5 posts in another language so it doesn't seem so spammy in the other language thread.  MTC members who posted in the bitcoin talk Korean threads had issues with this since those threads aren't as active as the english ones.

1. The ICO distribution will last until 90% of the supply has been distributed to 20,000 people who complete the ICO steps. We are currently at around 3000 (+/- 200 or so) ICO distributions so we have around 17,000 distributions to go.
2. Distributions do occur daily. Honestly if you haven't received your coins within 24-36 hours of submitting your request, submit a ticket to the dev's email address, info@marineco.in to ask what the status is. It's possible something went wrong and you may need to correct some things, each application is reviewed by a real person so it takes time.

4. The dev's have relaxed the Facebook requirement, you may now use any popular social media platform of your choosing, including platforms that may only be popular in your home country. The goal is as wide a global distribution of MTC as possible.
5. The dev's will pursue other exchange listings once the initial seed community of 20,000 people has been established and 90% of the supply has been distributed. Until then, MTC can be traded now on the f1cx.com exchange. Currently the only pairs are MTC/DOGE, MTC/LTC, MTC/BTC

Yes,  you are welcome.   This project had lots of hardship weeks ago as Bruce's BCT  ANN got deleted and his account is more or less banned here.  As early AIRDROP receiver I tried my best to help this project as much as I can and I think this project deserve a better attention and treatment in crypto-world.

I agree with you that, yes,  seed nodes controlled by guardians sound like masternodes.  They both offer new features for the coins and help the coin on either decentralization or speed improvement.  Functional wise,  I think  Marinecoin seed nodes from guardians are different from masternodes.  I think marinecoin feature is very unique and I do not know any other coins have similar features like Marinecoin.   For obvious difference,  the mining of MTC is not important and not required as explained by Bruce.  There is one
folk in Telegram is playing with MTC mining and was puzzled by the mining rewards as if the Marinecoin mining is just for play and for fun.  I know coins with masternodes are all serious on mining.  No other coins I know of are treating mining like MTC is doing now.

Caveat with this explanation: I am not a core dev or a dev of any type, just a passionate community member. I’ll do my best to explain it with this summary and apologize in advance if it just confuses others more:

The community is going to begin getting away from the term ‘dev-less’ as it seems to have negative connotations for potential new members. The original intention behind using the term Dev-Less was to highlight the fact that Marinecoin is NOT reliant on a core development or mining team to function/operate.

**Summary Starts Here**

MarineCoin IS dev-less when compared to the popular crypto term ‘developer’ and the immediate understanding of the role/power the title ‘developer’ holds in the crypto-sphere. Currently no crypto currency is fully decentralized no matter what they claim, they are extremely reliant on a core development/mining team. These core developers/mining teams are human and therefore subject to greed, emotions and manipulation by other more powerful influencers. As the Marinecoin network is maintained by a Self-Sustaining Artificial Intelligence, dubbed “Jarvis” by its creators, it is not subject to these potential human failing points.

The Marinecoin network is maintained by “Jarvis” a Self-Sustaining Artificial Intelligence whose source code is sealed for security purposes. The AI itself is decentralized as well, the maintenance it is providing is a service to the network with no direct relationship to Marinecoin’s own decentralization, they are separate. Anyone can maintain a network by managing full nodes and contributing to mining activity, the Self-Sustaining AI is replacing those functions that would normally be performed by humans. You can still mine Marinecoin if you wish, but it is not at all profitable nor is it necessary to operate the network, taking 3 years to mine 450000 MTC.

Anyone can technically become a dev for marinecoin independently without any rights to change the source code, but therefore all new software running on this network must be backwards compatible to the original core.

Bruce_Wayne additionally explained that they will be making a video demonstrating exactly how Jarvis interacts with the MTC network to better help explain all this.

Bill Gates once said "For the most difficult and challenging tasks, find a smart but lazy person to complete them. They will eventually come up with the most efficient way to accomplish this task." Did you actually try to compile it or did you just look at the code/instructions?

Asking because I haven't tried, the instructions are little too daunting for me and as a community member i'm interested to see. The F1 exchange, the MTC wallet and MTC coin all operate extremely well, but i haven't seen much regarding marinecoin core.

If you have tried compiling the code and ran into errors why not open a github ticket and highlight the error to the team instead of publicly shamming a new project on their ANN thread? Maybe attempt to help out a new project? There are many variables to take into account before shamming on something and quite honestly you not giving the team a chance to answer trouble ticket questions or potential errors with their source code should cause others to question your judgement as well.

If you're going to run around shamming on projects you could at least do said projects the service of explaining what problems you saw, when you saw them and why you feel the way you do about the project with more detail. It would be much appreciated.

No worries. I get that. In my experience with the creators of this project they've been very quick at responding to highlighted errors. I'll send your compiler failed information to their org box, maybe they will want to look into it. I'm seeing on the github there is an open trouble ticket as well that hasn't been fully closed out but they were having discussions with the individual trying to compile the code. I'll ask about that as well. I don't have a coding background so I haven't looked into their github very hard....

Anyways, thanks for trying to compile the source code. Based off of how long the instructions are i can imagine it took some time to attempt. I also tried compiling on Centos (with equivalent packages as mentioned in the instructions) and was able to do so successfully. Only caveat is you may have to recompile openssl from source with ECC as it is not included by default package that comes with the OS (I tried on centos 6.9 VM, but I think this is true for many redhat distros)

+1 Just a minor correction, afaik the limit for the number of participants of the ICO is 20000.

Actually coin has no real value. Its value depends on the community, if the community is strong and believe in it, then the value will also increase. Otherwise, it's just zero. This is a community-driven project, and you get a free coin, and the only thing you need to do is build community together. If you do not like it you can ignore it. Or you, together with us, make a strong Marinecoin community in the future :)

I checked the commits history today on marinecore in github and found lots of commits on jarviscoin related history.  So the Jarvis Coin is likely to come soon after the 20,000 seed member ICO is completed.

Today on March 5, 2018,  myself (DISCORD ID: honglu69), Marinecoin creator and dev Bruce_Wayne, rosso,  Brightlight, marcmeh and others had quite long conversation in DISCORD channels on various topics of marinecoin new airdrop rule change. Jarvis coin project progress and its new revolutionary feature and  how the future new coin offering within marinecoin network will look like.

Bruce stressed that what he and his team is doing for Marinecoin is new concept that has never been done before.  Bruce also announced new change of addition of 150 word per post requirement for new members as part of proof of promotion work as condition of obtaining the 450,000 marinecoin airdrop.

marcmeh raised concerns on what he has observed in bitcointalk forum that many if not most of senior ranking members there do not have positive views on the marinecoin due to spamming nature of the posts there.  Because of the rule change recently requiring long post of 150 words per post for new members, my take was that this may not be issue as the long post with real content should not be perceived as spam in the future.  I myself always believed that the proof of promotion requirement for new member airdrop is not intended to spam any place.

In the conversation, Bruce showed a screen of software versioning of Jarvis 1.0  implying the software development of Jarvis project is going on well.  For the first time in DISCORD conversation, the Marinecoin creator and dev Bruce disclosed that  he is currently working on Jarvis coin send transaction by email.   rosso in DISCORD immediately commented that this will revolutionize cryptocurrency  payment system and  Marinecoin is leading the way in technology the way of the future  AI.   Bruce continued that  this new feature will make crypto currencies accessible to the average non-tech house wives and grandparents who would otherwise have hard time backing up wallets and syncing etc.  

In today's conversation, I raised issue of how easy a guardian of marinecoin can create new coin within Marinecoin network.  Bruce made it clear that first of all, new coin such as Jarvis coin or golf coin whatever the new coins  will all be within marinecoin (MTC) network using the same blockchain. They won't have separate blockchains. This make the new coins created within Marinecoin network sounds like  new tokens within an ethereum network.   I further commented that if the process of new coin creation is easy, say a person like myself can follow a web guide to create a new coin within marinecoin network, then Marinecoin  is essentially having ERC20 token feature of ethereum, at faster transaction speed and at lower transfer fees.  This feature alone will create billions maybe hundreds billions of USD market cap for Marinecoin.

Bruce answered that there is high-skilled complicated expertise required now in creating new Window, Mac wallets for new coins so that  a new coin creation within marinecoin network,  say a golfcoin or aviationcoin or gogamecoin is not as easy as ethereum new token creation.   However, Bruce said exactly in his own word today in DISCORD: "We will have a process of doing that (creating a new coin) very fast, a webpage, a logo, a target audience for the coin, you will spare 5000 MTC and on the new coin it will turn into a billion (new coins)."  

I further asked if a guardian status is required for requesting a new coin, Bruce answered that everyone can donate a few hundred MTC in the future to create a new coin. One will do the logo design, deciding on the amount and a a webpage, then Bruce and his core dev team will ship the new coin to the destination and the new coin, for example golfcoin will run on Marinecore AI.

At end of today's long conversion, I myself and Bruce have below comments:

Hey thanks for posting this I don't hang out in the telegram.  I know a few people got their marine posts got deleted because it was considered spam.

Last week I joined the airdrop and got my 450k coins in a few hours. If these guys bring the project alive I think it will be huge. But of course, this needs a lot of work...
Even if they don't, I will be just sad that I lost my 40 min which is nothing for me. I spend like 5 hours a week to watch meaningless movies. So, no worries.

airdrop...bounty..all very similar ideas but you're right what Marinecoin is doing is more of a Bounty program than an airdrop but it doesn't really fit a definition for either.

ICO Applicants are required to do Proof of Promotion that is reviewed by current community members. We just switched over to the community reviewed model yesterday. But other than that it's still the same deal. MTC is still planning on distributing 95% of it's supply throughout the ICO process, whether it be from ICO Applications through the current process or potential standard bounty programs in the future. For now, it will remain 450,000 MTC for proof of promotion following the ICO guidelines linked below.

Update (3.10.2018) on DISCORD Channel: Marinecoin Technology, Mining,  Speed, Transfer fees

Marinecoin creator and Dev Bruce disclosed in DISCORD channel couple of days ago that rosso (DISCORD ID) is temporary president of Marinecoin Foundation. Marinecoin Foundation funds many operations of Marinecoin including the f1cx exchange.  Rosso is an investor and enthusiastic supporter of Marinecoin and close friend of Bruce.
Rosso and Bruce both expressed strong confidence in Marinecoin and both indicated that for a coin like MTC, it should stay at bottom of 1st page of Coin Market Cap in the worst case scenery.    

DISCORD user Thinkpad is extremely interested in the fast speed feature of Marinecoin.  Thinkpad played with wallet to wallet transfer and found that sometimes the transfer fee is zero, sometimes it is very tiny fraction of a MTC.    Because Marinecoin has no reliance on mining or miners, Thinkpad expressed some concerns in Chinese DISCORD on the long term sustainability of Marinecoin network.  Here below is  DISCORD transcripts of Thinkpad and Bruce, rosso and other community members on the topic of speed and transfer fee of Marinecoin:

Marinecoin is not a miner’s coin. @Thinkpad What’s the rush? It can handle 1 second blocks but still it will take a Few seconds to get a confirmation from other peers to be included in the next block
You have to look at this from volume perspective, it will always take around 3 - 4 seconds to get into the next block when you send MTC even the blockchain speed is 1 second per block, but if you imagine 1000.000 people sending MTC around the same time everybody gets to have their MTC confirmed within seconds

honestly people need to stop judging MTC for the past reputation or whatever, the more i find out about this project, the more committed i become, not just to make money but I feel like we are doing this the right way - build a community, distribute coins fairly, and build our wealth together:)

@starsailor Exactly. I put it this way, the fact that Marinecoin was delisted should not be problem at all on reputation. We all know know Apple is great company and iPhone is great product. But Apple was almost bankrupt on their first product apple computer. Steve Jobs was kicked out by board. I think Marinecoin can come back just like Apple.  Technology and perseverance are key for success.

Airdrop is temp suspended.  Too much scammers applied and tying down the precious resource and time of community volunteers.    The  community  and Dev are discussing a new method  of cutting down scam applicants.

MTC: Update: 15 March 2018

We now have two simultaneous efforts going on with MTC: bruce is in the middle of a coding binge developing a better way to mitigate fraudulent ICO scam attempts, y’all will love what he has in store for us. He Will be using a portion of the MTC tech to filter applications.

Update (March 17, 2018) from DISCORD Channel: Marinecoin Roadmap, POP AI Driven Airdrop, Transaction Confirmation

There has been a lots activities in DISCORD Channel over past two days on topics of Marinecoin roadmap,  new AI driven airdropping method, and transaction confirmation technical details.

The Marinecoin creator and Dev Bruce in DISCORD explained the roadmap on Thursday that " Marinecoin is a mature complete product, it’s only road map is the distribution of MTC and make it devless by giving community the keys. The ultimate goal is providing the necessary easy to use tools to non-tech MTC community members and have them act as developers independently creating %100 decentralization".   Bruce further attacks status quo in the current crypto world that "Currently all coins with miners and hot shot developers are not decentralized, every new wallet update takes away from the community and gives more to the miners and the developers, this type of scenario can only fool certain people for a certain amount of time."

Over pasts several days,  the previous old Marinecoin airdropping method has been suspended due to large degree of scamming applicants.  The Marinecoin Airdrop started initially with full KYC  2 months ago when the applicants had to provide government IDs and selfie upload as well as phone number SMS verification.  The KYC process went well attracting the first thousand of applicants.  However, at later stage of KYC period,  Dev Bruce noticed that many people in crypto world are against KYC and also many scamming applications with fake IDs and photos showed up in applications.   The Marinecoin dev team then abolished KYC and only required facebook account and later with wechat, twitter or any kind of impactful social media account plus 5 bitcointalk posts to obtain 450,000 MTC per member airdrop.   Several Marinecoin volunteers include myself showed up as forum MOD to approve or reject the applicants.   This method so far attracted and airdropped 450,000 MTC to about 3500 seed members so far up to date.  This method also hit wall recently because of huge percentage of scamming applications observed so far.  The volunteers are not paid for helping Marinecoin airdropping process. If the end results of airdropping is handing out large amount of MTCs to real human, I think volunteer model will work out fine because the more seed members obtain the airdrop, the more value will be on the existing holdings of each volunteer.  This model breaks when the time and effort are spent on scam prevention with huge waste of resource.

Dev Bruce proposed and is implementing a third method of airdropping Marinecoin to future seed members,  I call it "AI driven Airdrop".    Jarvis will be taught Artificial Intelligence to review applicants's proof of promotion (POP) work. For example a new member promotes marinecoin ICO and provide to Jarvis link to your post in bitcointalk, and AI review the text with predefined parameters,  If will pass  by following all rules.    Bruce showed a web page screenshot in DISCORD with title "Marinecoin POP - Proof of Promotion MTC Generator".    Bruce gave an update on the progress two days ago and here are the update transcripts:

But from earlier tests I can tell you that it is working very efficiently. I added a message comparator feature, it checks the percentage of likeness of the submitted message to the pre-approved message just in case some users might miss the dot or manually correct a sentence, or the webpage parses some text differently. They will still get their MTC

Usually coins with lots of mining pools and low hashpower increases the likelihood, if two fastest pool wallets are disconnected from each other splitting the rest of the regular clients problems may arise
Marinecoin coin does not have pools, and all GUI clients are connected to the backbone
This reduces the chance significantly

The Dev already contacted the CMC and the response was that the current f1cx trading volume does not meet the listing requirement yet.

It is quite common for airdrop or bounty distribution to happen after ICO period is over.  The distribution of aridrop/bounty for Marinecoin is immediate, but
trading of these airdropped coin has limitations.   One can hodl their airdropped coins after ICO period is over.

Marinecoin is currently still in ICO period.  Only after 90% of Marinecoin supply is distributed, and ICO is completed, the trading of Marinecoin can be expected normal.  Currently there is trading limit imposed on those airdropped coins.  This is quite common practice for airdrop or bounty.

The order book is extremely thin on both sides, low volume trading right now. Don't really expect the volume to pick up too much while in ICO. Currently to protect the coin in ICO phase, your MTC exchange deposit address will not open up until you have 1,000,000 MTC in your exchange wallet.

The white paper was written by the community and still needs editing. The marinecoin forum allows a place for all members to add contributions to the paper below the thread. This version isn't pretty but the information is at least centrally located finally. When i first did this two months ago i had spent a lot of time doing research about the project, now folks can just read that paper. Earlier members compiled as much information as we could into that doc, more needs added and edited, it'll be an ever evolving document.

Can you explain how you use combination of Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence for payment networks. Technologies are cool. However, how are they connected with payments.

The Marinecoin network is being maintained by the AI protocol Jarvis (created by @bruce_wayne). The mtc wallet can be easily run on a low power chip like raspberry pi's for instance. Many IoT projects already use raspberry pi's to connect their devices to the internet. I have not personally messed around with it yet, but other community members have. It's easy to integrate the MTC wallet with the IoT device to enable machine to machine payments among IoT devices...could be something like a smart fridge recognizing it is out of milk and ordering milk from the store automatically for you.

Just a little update from dev Bruce on Discord: All old messages and topics have been purged from AI database. Thus effectively removing all bad posts and topics. Also if any 2 members report a message/topic, it will be removed immediately. Additionally, members can post a message to any suitable topic of their choice if they feel that the suggested topic by AI is inappropriate and they can also make changes to the message to edit/remove shill-like/spammy sentences. The AI accepts the changes upto a certain limit (15%).


ICO is still ongoing in the form of an airdrop based on promotional bounty. Go to marinecoin.info/ico/pop/login.php if you know the rules. Or join Discord server/Telegram channel and community members will help you.

You can also contribute messages to the AI database at marinecoin.info/ico/new.php. AI will make suggestions to you when you contribute messages.

Round 1 Airdrop closed with just 3500 users? Why?

Phase 1 originally intended to distribute to 20,000 users.

The method of distribution was far too taxing on the community volunteers who had to spend all of their free time making the ICO happen. It was inefficient, so that phase ended.

The project creator devised a way to utilize the AI protocol that maintains the network to run the ICO instead. This is when phase 2 started. It allows for a lot more participating members than the previous model.
