Title: How to know before the Dump?
Post by: curlyti on February 22, 2018, 02:15:29 AM
I have been investing in cryptocurrency for 5 months . I am buying some icos and holding coins. I started with 5000 usd. And sometimes my balance went up to 30k and down to 12k . I feel very uncomfortable when my balance is dropped.
So i want to know is there any strategy to protect your balance before the dump?
Anyone can help please.
Thank you so much.

Suck it up. Cryprocurrency is a very volatile market, so always expect those kinds of violent price swings; we don't expect prices to go up forever. If you're expecting a crash, sell your crypto for fiat. That way, you don't lose value out of your investments, and you can buy back at a lower price.

i think no stratedy about that nobody can tell about that usually the dump started when the coin/token pump hard and hit ATH specially  happrning in every shitcoin the best strategy for me is when you make big profit from the coin take your capital back and put to another potencial coin and wait for pump and repeat.

Study some technical analysis and use support, resistance and trendline break on higher timeframes like Daily (D) or Weekly. This timeframe is good for longtime hodlers like you. Sell if the chart is about to go down and buy at the bottom. Follow your plan 100% and dont get emotional.

I'm sorry to tell you but there's no way to know when the dump are going to occur. I don't know if there's some sort of insider trading in crypto, because that's the only way someone will learn ahead of  time when the dumping will happen. But there are what you call pump-and-dump group, these are group of individuals who practice pumping a certain coin and then they will tell their members that they are going to dump it. That's the closest that you can get. However, I wouldn't advise you to join such group though, because most of the premium members have already cash out in advance and what's left are profits that members will have to share amongst themselves. Yes, I understand you, I also feel uncomfortable that's why I continue to monitor the price and exit on time before another dump happens.

This might help but not  accurate , it will give you some basis whether to follow the pattern as it will give more ideas what would be the next outcome, but with your questions OP, it's really hard to say or predict when the dump will happen as crypto industry is full of speculations and because of that, emotion needs to be controlled properly to avoid wrong decisions, just aim for long term hold if you are in an investment type person.

The most easiest way is to avoid it. Do not put your money on Cryptocurrency that has a high chance of being dumped. Only invest on cryptocurrencies where you know the developers won't bail out on their holders. That is wht you can do nest is to avoid shitcoins as no matter how informed you are you might be too late before they start dumping their shares.

Have you read what a trader should have, if you just go along with it then it is fatal for you. The Trader's soul within that person must be built with a solid foundation. If you want to know and if anyone knows for sure the coin will dump then he is great. No one can know for sure the price of coins are all just collected with the analysis. So you must have that knowledge. Must understand the indicators also always watch the market.

It's impossible to foresee everything!
Yesterday the POS coin rose sharply to $ 8, on the website of Coinmarket.
And there was no such price on the stock exchanges!
And you can not catch this moment, only if you sit at the price chart every day, for 24 hours.

you can't always know the dumps beforehand but you certainly can act after the dump started to happen. i mean you are claiming you have lost $18000 or 60% of your money! why did that happen? next time when you see a dump in some of those ICOs and Coins you are holding, try selling them when it is still early instead of holding them while watching them lose their values slowly but surely.

that is called stop loss by the way. it is a good thing to have under the hood.

Signs of a Dump are nearly impossible to know but there are ways to avoid those big dumps.
* Any or all ICO tokens after they are listed on 1st exchange are dumped and then it creates bottom which is a right time to buy.
* In 7 day chart if the coin has shown tremendous upward growth then it is likely to loose atleast 30% of that rise.
* In general major dump happens when the company pushes it's holdings in market eg. bitconnect ... thus keep an eye on the news of your trading coins.
* If any coin has positive market sentiments and masses are speaking about it then the market rises but that is most likely to fade away.
Note: These are my Trading experiences and strategies and this may vary trader to trader.

If you feel like the price of the coin/s you have invested will go down then your best choice is to sell it for cash but there is no way that you will know whenever a huge sell out will going to happen, what are your plans with your cryptocurrency? short or long term? if long term then this means that you believe that it will grow more in the long run so you shouldn't worry about the price being not stable because cryptocurrency are highly volatile, if you're a short term investor then why not set a target price on when you will sell and when you will re-buy. But here is an important thing, if you are not comfortable when your investment or coins value dropped then it is better to just not invest in cryptocurrency because all investments have risks and if you don't know what your doing, you will surely lose money. Investing/trading cryptocurrency is not for weak hands.

Yes there are technical tools you can use to predict the crypto movement. These are MACD, RSI and Fibonacci Retracement. The most common and effective of the three are Fibonacci Retracement.

You can search on youtube for online instruction on how to do or use the tools. These are very powerful tool use by traders if you can master this I can guarantee your success.

it's normal in the crypto to see your portfolio go down up to 30% sometimes, but as I understood you're already in the profit zone +3k usd, I wouldn't be much worried about losing money in your case, but yeah keeping up with the profit is hard, that is why most people try only to focus on gaining more of a one coin like more btc regardless of how much it is worth, or more Eth , they don't relay on the usd value

No one will know when it will dump or goes up. The market are volatile which mean it goes up and down and nothing can protect your balance. When it dump you can choose to cut loss or you can hold them until the price is back.

You need to sell on the way up, in small percentages. Nobody can time the exact top, and no-one times things perfectly, so you take profits gradually as the market moves up.

The reason people don't do this is greed - they think it can go even higher. This is foolish thinking. Take your profits, don't think about how much more you could have made. Just be glad you are in the red.

There is always a mystery in bitcoin price due to it's volatility that makes it difficult to predict the dump. If all of us know exactly when to buy and sell to obtain big profit there there would be no trading that will happen. It is good to remember that this process is always a two-way, meaning win and loose. A sure win-win game would mean a 24/7 monitoring which is a little hard to do. However, some indicators might be useful. Once a coin hits its peak, it can  be a signal also anytime sooner or later, slowly the price will go down and that is where we should be preparing. One by one, traders will sell in small quantity until most sells out of negativity. We just have to have the time always not to overlook and missed out these chance.

If anyone here can give you a serious answer to your question, they wouldn't even be on the forum. They'd have mortgaged everything they own, maxed their credit cards, borrowed every last time they could, and shorted bitcoin with everything they have. Of course that is a ludicrous thing to do to be that confident in predicting the future, equally as ludicrous as your question. If you ever find out the answer to your question, you Sir would be a billionaire, no pun.

We can see that the market is fluctuating continuously and extremely difficult to predict, bitcoin prices in the past also. After reaching $ 11,800, it immediately fell sharply and is now at $ 9800. I think the bad news is that the price of bitcoin dump is so strong, we can see continuously that the ban is still in India, the trading floor of the most expensive bitcoin has made the price of bitcoin fall. Falling extremely strong in recent days.

Sorry buddy. As per my knowledge there is no way aware of before getting dump. If you want to trade you should have the mentality to accept both profit and loss.Trading is like gambling, the best way to avoid your loss, if price go down, you should keep calm and wait for some days, within few days surely it will hit again. So the patience is helps to avoid your loss.

Are you asking this on trash altcoins? If so the only way to know a dump is when you are part of a pump and dump group where they plan when to buy it and at the same time sell it all. But I wouldn't recommend you being part of the group as you might be a victim yourself as you can still be left out. So the best way to avoid dumps is only buying Altcoin who are good in terms of projects as it will grow in the long term.

You can chart and go off the trends but it’s a hit and miss market . It really depends on you and how you control your emotions. If you sell don’t fomo and wait for a dip, or you can always hold till your content with your gains .

The massive volatility is just part of trading crypto I'm afraid. That is why you need strong hands to do it successfully.  ;) :)
It is this volatility that allows us to make to make our huge gains, so its not all bad - even though it is hard to watch your portfolio shrink by over 50% as we have over the last few weeks. Think of it as a lesson in patience.   :)

There is no way to truly know when a dump is coming, unless you're a proper whale, or unless you are part of some big coordinated pump and dump effort. All traders/hodlers are suffering from shrinkage right now, so you're not alone.

You just have to learn to ride the waves my friend and just know that if you are invested in solid, long-term projects, your portfolio will recover..
If you're holding bags of shitcoins however, now may be the time to consider cutting some of your losses and move into better projects/investments.

As they say, if you can't stand the heat - get out of the kitchen..
Or more relevantly, if you can't handle the 50% dips, you don't deserve the 200% gains  ;D

Correct, there is no way to predict what is going to happen in the market, the only thing that we can do is to risk our money, time and effort on Trading. Trading is about having more patient than holding, because you can't make better decisions in life if you are always in a hurry on making one, you are just going to regret in on the end that you are making decisions out of nowhere on Trading your coins which you thought it was the right thing to do, but it is not.

To add up an idea about the main point here, the decision of yours is already final if ever we sold the holdings we had. No regret at all once you made the decision, so we can't take that back again. That's a normal thing on dumping a coins asset which you're holding for so long, no one can really predict that after a year or two price will substancially increase. It will gain its price at peak, so people now have a good days trades as well as long term traders.

Unless you have some psychic power to see the future then you will not know when there will be a dump. The best thing to do is try to predict it by using your technical analysis, of course it is not certain but at least by time you will be better on your prediction.

Since you mentioned you invested on ICO and if you are day trading then make sure you have a target price and stop loss. Sell the coins that reach your target price or stop loss.

That does not help everyone in my opinion. MACD, RSI and the Fibonacci Retracement are nothing but types of "lenses" that you place in a chart that tricks you into seeing "patterns" that can also trick you to make false "predictions".

If they really worked 100% of the time, we would all be rich.

I believe in patience and in controlling your emotions, especially in manic depressive cryptocurrency markets which clearly move on the whims of emotion. That's why they are so volatile.

One reason to that could be because most of the people who trade them are amateurs. No offense.

We can see that with a sensitive market like the last time, knowing when the price of bitcoin dump is extremely difficult to know before. It is possible that only one Chinese embargo will reduce the price of bitcoin by more than 70%, as bad news as the laws issued, tightening the deal, that is the reason. due to the price of bitcoin dump.

There is no perfect stratagy to use to know if bitcoin or an altcoin is going to dump unless you have sight in the future :D Make your own analysis, i'm sure that in 5 months you already familiar with the flow of the crypto trading. Well, there is no strategy in knowing when is the dump because you are thr only one can decide how you managed your coin if you think that it loses your money more than 15% or 20% of it. 5 months is not a treat to make you panic but rather 3/4  of a year to be exactly makes you force to do by gaining or losing your capital.

I believe that with a market that is fluctuating continuously as it is now, it is very difficult to know when the price of Dump. Currently though bitcoin prices are recovering very strongly from the current $ 6000 to the $ 10000 level, but only a negative information will make bitcoin prices fall immediately. For that reason I believe we should not be in a bitcoin at this point.

In my experience, I totally see a dump when January comes because coinmarketcap do some major corrections to the price of cryptocurrency. And also when a altcoins seek at highest price eventually it will dump some other days. So if you notice the price is dropping it is time to sell your altcoins to make profits.

There is no way to know, you just have to invest and hold for long. Because in the future, all we know is that the price of bitcoin might become stable and be above what the price is at the moment. Though, it might be annoying and causing panic but its still pays to keep holding. In some way, I believe that maybe the whale investors whom have invested a lot might have a slightest idea, though, they took can't be 100% sure.

Its hard to know before dump, but by use technical analysis in daily chart will help to indicate the dump will happen. Use some indikator like Moving average and MACD will help to know that,  although not 100% working, but that way really help to keep the profit.

I also feel like you sometime. and I found that more study and more experience can help you to take the profit from your investment when price up and down. Try to study more and be a large-hearted man not like an emotional person. Try to collect information from some news site where published regularly crypto related news. And I want to say from my experience that only news is enough for dump and pump. So be more alert about news and when you feel price can be dump sell your holding and wait for re-buy.

Study some technical analysis and use support, resistance and trendline break on higher timeframes like Daily (D) or Weekly. This timeframe is good for longtime hodlers like you. Sell if the chart is about to go down and buy at the bottom. Follow your plan 100% and dont get emotional.
Yeah, apparently, there is no one who can tell the exact time when a market will decide to change trend, but for someone who is a trader and knowledgeable, playing with those swings makes a lot of sense. However, it is not everyone who can actually trade, which is why it is important to at least learn how to do some analysis most especially for long term trade, as that helps a lot to take advantage of those swings.

As long as you are holding, just keep holding. One way or the other, your balance will always keep increasing and unless you are trading, you should not bother yourself with what is happening with the value of your holdings. You have said it yourself, you started with $5000 and now even with the whole dump, and you still have like $20k. What else do you want? Market is always volatile, and there is nothing you can do.

The only thing you can do to protect yourself from loss is that after investing, have fixed profit percentage after which you will sell that coin when the coin pumps to a particular value. And if you're investing for a long term then you must consider the tops cryptos like bitcoin an ethereum. Because all these new coins which have their ICOs are not as promising as the others whih are already in the market. Risk factor is high in ICOs.

Suck it up. Cryprocurrency is a very volatile market, so always expect those kinds of violent price swings; we don't expect prices to go up forever. If you're expecting a crash, sell your crypto for fiat. That way, you don't lose value out of your investments, and you can buy back at a lower price.

Exchange to fiat and ready to buy back on crash is one of good trading strategy.
However this strategy sometime make people regret by selling their asset early. I know sometime people get profit when they sell their coin but when the price goes higher then they will be regret. For me, i will not be regret because before selling i set the goal or plan first

There is no perfect technical analysis to predict the upcoming dump. The only best solution is to put a stop-losses order on a strong significant supports. If a coin breaks their support level, its tend to do dip lower.

What I'm thinking is we have to make decisions quickly when there's a chance. I believe that sometimes opportunities never come a second time. So when we have earned a profit margin then the step we have to do is to directly sell the coin we have.

Do not ever be selfish to want more profit, I think the profit has made us feel comfortable and not worry the price will decrease. You seem to be someone who hopes to get more results, but believe that the world of digital currency requires you to take action quickly and appropriately

Whenever bitcoin price rises significantly in a short time, the dump (crash) will happen in the near future for sure.
We have seen it after bitcoin reach the peak at $20,000 and currently struggle to hold its position above $10K.
Yeah, it sucks to see your balance suddenly drop, most of the holders experience it.
However, you can avoid it by secure fiat money whenever bitcoin reach a high price and buy back in the dip.
How to predict it? Read some news regarding bitcoin development and acceptance in big countries such as Japan, the US, Europe, and so on. Then, check bitcoin trading volume on some exchanges, bitcoin price tend to drop if bitcoin volume in exchanges suddenly rises due to people prepare it to cash out immediately if a dump sign occurs.

Well you have to keep track every now and then. And use stop loss tightly. That is if you can afford to spend more time woth your trades. But in general, you have to be steady and prepared to see your investments go up and down. Anyways 12k from 5k is still a lot of profit

I wouldn't recommend you being part of the group as you might be a victim yourself as you can still be left out. So the best way to avoid dumps is only buying Altcoin who are good in terms of projects as it will grow in the long term.No regret at all once you made the decision, so we can't take that back again. That's a normal thing on dumping a coins asset which you're holding for so long, no one can really predict that after a year or two price will substancially increase

You can see that the current market is dump very strong, when bitcoin price is from $ 10400 and the momentum of the price is discharged to $ 9600 at the current time and broke the trend up. I think that to be able to know when to increase or decrease the price, you need to constantly monitor and monitor all information related to the project you invest.

I think that in order to know when a project is dump, you need to constantly monitor and monitor the market, the information directly related to the project. You need to track all the information channels related to the project to be able to update the information as quickly as possible from which to make judgments and business plans for themselves.

There are some old and simple rules for trades and stock market. So if any stock rise up so fast like bitcoin last year, its normal that it will come a correction and the price will fall. Last year everybody who has experience in financial, told this. The bullrun of bitcoin was to extreme and they know it that it cant hold this value at twenty thousand. So sometimes its good to listen to some people who have some experience at the financial area.

We can see that the price of bitcoins in recent days is very complicated. Today, just after touching the $ 10400 mark, bitcoin prices have fallen sharply and now only $ 9600. According to my analysis, the bitcoin price will continue to decrease in the future, so it is time for you to trade and buy bitcoin at the most reasonable price.

Cryptocurrency is volatile and that what makes bitcoin unpredictable. It is tough to predict on what will happen on bitcoin whether to pump or dump. You can determine if bitcoin will rise up or fall down through market table however, there's a low chance for it to happen. Furthermore, there are some old ways to predict this phenomenon for example, after the huge pump expect that there will be a correction.

If you would be keen at observing  the price movement of the coins you bought in the market, you may have a hint of how it will go in the future but this is not a solid strategy that you can rely on. You will still have to trust your gut feeling in making your decisions regarding your cryptos as it is very hard to predict the price movement of coins in the market.

Yeah, a very good one. Daily chart most especially is the best for long term holders and adding to what rommelzkie have said, I would consider the OP or anyone in his shoes, learning how to make use of the moving averages, bollinger and then reading the candles to be able to make some decisions when holding for long term.

There are plenty resources online and they can easily direct someone into learning how to do all of that. Trend following is a pattern every long term holder uses, and that should be of great help.

I know that you need to keep track of the information and find out about the project you are pursuing, I am confident that you will be able to know when the time to buy and sell is reasonable. Currently bitcoin is at a very good level so you can buy in due to the bad news repeatedly encountered. This is the most authentic example.

Before you dump, you will often see a lot of sell orders and very few buy orders, which suggests that the trend to sell more than buy. Often, when orders are sold, other orders will also sell out massively because the trader's psyche does not want to be sold at low prices. In addition, the crypto copper also often dump when the bad news directly affect the crypto also made it drastically reduced.

Just sell when it goes high very very fast because normally a dump will follow. But that is still not 100% sure that it will protect your investment. There is no sure way to know when a dump is going to happen. Cryptocurrency is very volatile.

To protect balance before dump, you need to track the news related to cryptocurrencies. Often, after the bad news, the exchange rate of the entire market will fall sharply. You then need to exchange cryptos to USDT to hodl and wait until the exchange rate rises again.

I have read many comment here which is regret after selling because the price not stop at this high.
The price still strong going up and nobody know when it will stop and start bearish. Regret at this point not important if the price selling is higher than buying price. Because nobody can predict the price move for sure so we need to enjoy and happy with our gaining.

Keep an ear on the news because most people sell off when they hear bad news and to be safe immediately you see red start selling off and buy USD tether which will fluctuate minimally during the dump. That's what i usually do.You could also sell off and hold in your local currency.

Always monitoring the price value in the coin market website so that you can know what happen the situation either its pump or dump  now in the cryptomarket.if you find out that its simultaneously going down, then thats the right time you decide to withdraw your capital or just holding for more and observe the current situation.

Well, knowing the price before dumping is a very hard to predict because we are not making the whole stock market analysing and accessing the flow of supply and demand.
The only thing is make a research about your coin and the good news that really affect the whole digital economy.

A word of caution to all the people who think you can get rich by Pump and dump groups, Please don't part and just observe. Look at the price of the coin when you’re notified of the coin they’re choosing. If you find that you’re notified after it already surged and you find that a small part of the group is buying it up before hand and leading others to hold bag,  then your are one of the people in the lower category of the PnD group. People will use you to rise the pumping price and trap you while the top memebrrs of the group dumps their coins keeping you stranded at an ATH price. By then the damage is already done.

Our patients is being tested in this time of dumping and that's the right moment to hold and buy more. It is hard to predict the market even the analysis sometimes become failed but when you see the previous price and the news that arrived in that day, sometimes it gives a big effect in the market that can cause a pump or dump depending on the news because the news can present a coin and encourage many people to invest.

It like asking people that have been to the future to tell you what will happen to the future of your coin.  Nobody can tell you authoritatively when a coin will dump.  Cryptocurrency is an open market and anyone can decide to sell anytime.  I can however give you a tip to when price might decrease. If a price of a coin has gone 100 to 500% in a short term,  you should expect a correction .

no one can know when the price is dump or pump because it's about all the things that are happening in the market and how people act about this. and if the people make fast buy then maybe the price will pump but if they doing fast selling then the price will dump. but this is not a sign because sometimes the price is running in any of price because of people did in the market. so we only could do analyze the price and place the order buy and sell if we want to follow the price otherwise, we can only watch the price is up and down.

I agree.  There's absolutely no way to know for certain when a dump is about to occur.  Unless you are holding long-term, it might be wise to take some profits into BTC or ETH when your ALTS make extraordinary growth.  And as for pump-and-dump groups, stay away.  One of the most notorious pump-and-dumps happened in July with ChainCoin.

No one can protect balance but if you want minimalism risk I suggest use stop loss. Market is mystery and no one can predict low and high point, we all learn from experience. The other way to minimalism risk is by use money management, meaning don't replace all your money in one coin and always have back up fund from the main balance. Keep learning and see you next time.

the price of a coin / token is always influenced by the news circulating, if there is good news the price of a coin / token will go up, and vice versa if there is bad news the price of a coin / token will come down
so in conclusion, you have to sell the tokens / coins you hold if there is bad news, because the token price / coin will drop ;)

you ok?if we does do you think we will have some losses?no one knows everything even dumping or pumping, the volatility of cryptocurrency is the main reason why this kind of things are being denied for us.i wish someday we can find ways to have access in such,so we can manage losses and winnings.

Well, knowing the price before dumping is a very hard to predict because we are not making the whole stock market analysing and accessing the flow of supply and demand.
The only thing is make a research about your coin and the good news that really affect the whole digital economy.

It is a common myth or observation that bitcoin falls down during the vacations or holidays and if you ask me, it is true. At weekends or in official holidays, bitcoin decreases and this is what happened last Christmas. Before the occasion, it was shooting up but started to slow down after 25th December. Not only this, but once there is a slight decrease in the price for two to three days, it is an indication of upcoming dump. The best for trading is this one.

There is no perfect technical analysis to predict the upcoming dump. The only best solution is to put a stop-losses order on a strong significant supports. If a coin breaks their support level, its tend to do dip lower.

this kind of technical analysis is used in forex trading and its very accurate so maybe its good to use it in crypto trading.
if you sell it in strong support and they break the support, mena you can buy back back again in lower price.

You cannot predict either pump or dump no matter how much time you spend in learning the things but you need to have a solid plan in your mind which can then help you in handling the situation in a better way based on the ongoing situation. In case, the market is falling down go for holding of all the coins who previously bought and try to buy more number of coins as well in order to have greater profit.

We can't predict the price of bitcoin because it is too volatile so it is impossible to know when it will bump and dump so better to invest on the coin when it is low and wait for the bump but don't expect all the coins to bump so do your own research before investing on cryotocurrency.

Check the volume trades, if its pump and dump then check the charts ysed minute chart to check the dump use trail stop for this and avoid any greedy moves if you habe profit take it asap no more holding. And market is really so quick if market pump and dump this is usually if someone has tweets a good news for this coin or a well known personality that post this coin then anyone expect it to pump and dump so beware of this. Good luck

As far as I know, there is no way to identify the dump especially when it comes to the currency like Bitcoin having a global presence. However, in some cases you can predict the possibilities of the dump. For example: in the last quarter of the last year the the price was at its best and there was no reason for such massive rally so it was clear that there was a sudden inflow of money (by institutional investors and big whales for speculation purpose).

this is a signal of playing with maximum caution because the price is likely to fall as soon as these big whales decide to exit the from the game.

Difficult to know the conditions that will occur. Sometimes speculation outside is different from what happens in the market. I'm just consistent on the profit targets I've set each week.

Well being there's no impossible in crypto makes it a lot riskier compared to other kinds of investment because i think there is not much an indication of great correction but in terms of dumping price you should learn how to read charts but you can't rely on it that much because in reality there's no speculation that could give you an accurate results in the future because of the volatility of cryptocurrency.

If the coin is over bought there could be a dump happening in the next hours or days. If graph stays at green for a long time then it was just pumped by a group of people and will dump after the massive pump

Usually before the dump, there will be a huge bad news for Bitcoin, like some goverments ban Bitcoin or a "famous" person said Bitcoin as a scam or there is some money laundrying case involve to Bitcoin.

If every traders knew how to read graphs or even know how to assumed that price indicator they will not get easily panicked on FUDS as well on any issues, instances like they missed some pump or dump on that specific coin since it's really hard to monitors it every time, We will just need not to get panicked easily when there are FUDS circulating since their graphs shows that it may still increase at this point or so on.

Suck it up. Cryprocurrency is a very volatile market, so always expect those kinds of violent price swings; we don't expect prices to go up forever. If you're expecting a crash, sell your crypto for fiat. That way, you don't lose value out of your investments, and you can buy back at a lower price.
Exactly, but if he really wants to play with the swings, then he should better know what is he doing, so he does not end up even losing the more.

Nevertheless, most especially for altcoins, I have always noticed, there is usually this huge period for them when they just increase hugely in price and for someone who is smart just like you have said, to be able to hold more position when it goes down, just sell and buy back lower. I would not really consider that without at least learning how to do some trend following.

It also depends on the market cycle. During the bull market these type of FUDS won't turn the market down. There might be a small dip and it moves on its own. But in the bear market, market will further crash for any small FUDs also.

A lot of times it it hard to know when the coin is going to dump, especially if you are not a expert trader. Therefore i would always recommend to set a stop-loss to limit your loss.

The only way to get rid of this dump is to hold your crypto. Do not sell it even the price gets low and wait until it gets up again. Cryptos volatility cannot be determined but can be predicted. The only thing i put in mind is that all long term investments does have less risk and less loss so if i patiently wait for a period of time, my investment will be returned or gets doubled.

That is not an easy task to predict the dump movement specially in crypto currency. Like some of the bitcoiner user said, it's a digital money that once you mess out, it's not easy to fixed and you need to pack up and move on. Strategy help you sometimes, you need to monitor it if you have a lot of time to do it, but expect more problem to encounter and be ready in every situation that will come. You mostly gonna encounter this dump in alternative coins if you are not careful to choose the right one. Just provide plan B always folks.

Yes, i think we were having a hard time to find a formula on when is the dumping of price occur or take place. I believe that everything in crypto is unpredictable, so then no one can really preduct on what will be the exact time of the dumping of the market pruce. Maybe we only need to have monitoring about the price and it's present appearance but if we say predicting it is really hard.

after doing read in many sites, I think we can know the time before the dump and I think when the price increase suddenly than in the next moment after it's in a higher price, the price will get down too hard. and if I take a look in the market, this is happening so many times and if we can analyze this, I think we can use the higher price to sell our coins and then don't case the price because the next moment will get dump too hard. so be careful when you decide to make a buy again after you sell your coin.

Chart analysis is the only technique which can help you in having a fair idea regarding the future market value of any particular coin but still you can’t rely on your analysis and that the future will always be unpredictable. If you somehow manage to get to know about the future market value of any of the coin, then you need to make some better strategy according to the underlying situation and try to handle the situation of dump especially in a better way.

I don't know if there's some sort of insider trading in crypto, because that's the only way someone will learn ahead of  time when the dumping will happen. But there are what you call pump-and-dump group, these are group of individuals who practice pumping a certain coin and then they will tell their members that they are going to dump it. The only thing you can do to protect yourself from loss is that after investing, have fixed profit percentage after which you will sell that coin when the coin pumps to a particular value

There is different between investment and trading. If you want to make an investment so you sell again when 2-5 years. But if you want to make a lot of profit you can do trading, simply is buy when down sell when high but I thought not simply like that you must do with analytical so you can earn much. But first again not simply like that, every investment have their risk.

Decentralized make things unpredictable, but you can always dump the market by yourself as long as you have large amount of money to make a significant effect and makes people in panic to do selling, well it wasn't easy but you would know when the dump happened  ;D . Anyway you might can take a look into buy wall and sell wall , if there's a lot of people out their order in sell wall you have to prepare for the coming dump as someone can't be patient and sell it all at once.

You won't know exactly when but what you can do is get rid of that feeling of being uncomfortable for yourself. You only feel uncomfortable because you think it is something that shouldn't have, but in a market you will always win and lose money. Once you understand losing money some days is a fundamental aspect of markets, you should stop feeling uncomfortable imo.

This is good advice from Alyssa85.  If you see something going up, sell a bit so that you can participate in the gains, but keep some back in case it continues to go up.  Be happy with your wins and don't keep thinking about what would have happened if you had done something different.  Also, you will want to diversify with investments in a range of opportunities so that one bad call doesn't result in the collapse of your portfolio - and your confidence!

Keep a positive attitude and try to make good decisions based on the facts that you have access to.

Good Luck!

Some experienced traders who already have experience from stocks or forex trading can judge a chart and predict from the trend whether the price will go down - or possibly a dump to happen. Of course, no one can be 100% accurate as everyone is just speculating even when it comes to technical analysis. Others have tips from insiders such as when whales or people with large amounts of coin would decide to dump and this would massively affect the price and make it go down.

as you will have understood, one of the characteristics of cryptocurrencies is volatility. the advice is to invest only what you would be willing to lose and then withdraw some of the money when you need it or you are satisfied with the value achieved. If you want to hold part of your Crypto you will have to be very patient.

Analysis helps a lot, but being smart when analysis is not working is even more helpful. Crypto market, most especially, is a crazy one right now and you have to always consider every possibility and be able to act fast. Prices cannot be predicted, trends can only be followed. Everything is based on the market and there is no way one can really make a prediction unless there is news backing the price to being dumped or the chart speaking some languages we understand.

Title: Re: How to know before the Dump?

No one could prepare for any dump/bump in crypto market, even professtional analyser could fail in relize dump/bump. With holder, we just ignore it and wait for the true value coming.
As a holder it is very easy to ignore the crashes especially if even after the crash you are still having great profits, once that happens holding bitcoin becomes easier since you are no longer worried about losing your original investment this may take a few years for some but the feeling of freedom once you no longer have to worry about every single variation in the price is great.

Crypto currencies are highly volatile, and if you are a short-term investor, then why not set a target price when it will be sold and when it will be repurchased.

If you have a long-term hold, it's best not to look at the price several times a day.

i think there are no easy way to know before the Dump unless you are whales, specially in this fluctuative market, no one can predict exactly what will happen in the future, so an good advice in this market is dont be too greedy, sell as soon as you reach your target, holding for longer will be very risky, and buy only when you see you can earn some profit and dont wait until the bottom.

There is no hard and fast rule for a trader to get to know about the position of market. Whether it is low or high, this is nothing but commonsense. See the whole scenario, observe the coin’s price and determine is a storm coming right now or not. Majority times this is more than obvious to predict what is coming tomorrow for you. Be vigilant and wise, what is good for you.

to me, the base currency I choose is ETH which is exchanged from fiat currency, until today I can not regard the BTC as my target currency make for a daily digital currency. this is due to the price of BTC which is regarded as a luxury class currency including the cost of the mines. for that I hold ETH as a target and become a daily digital currency that I am going to convert to fiat currency

for other digital currency including contributing to ICO, I only consider for investment type, therefore in my investor portfolio there is a size of investment for selected tokens / coins with a target of not lower profit from 50% of the purchase price then here ETH becomes the symbol and basis for the transaction conversion to all the currency of the cryptocoin I invested then the balance is assured at an average of 15% fluctuations in ETH rather than the token / coin that I invest.

then the token / coin removal is frequent and re-exchange with ETH when it  achievements 200% of the amount invested, but for some of the currency I see potentially high as NEO and BTX then these two coin I hold until I feel it necessary melting's in the dumping of price collapse on my the gap line, as an example of each increase at 5% monthly ROI percent must be not less more from 15% decrease in the weekly then it remains in my portfolio by targeting my own price change maker.

is actually very difficult but I know it by analyzing the market conditions if market conditions are not there to buy and that means a stable price at that price will certainly potentially go down otherwise you can see it from news cryptocurrency that exists.

Firstly try to get your investment back and once you have got that the remaining coins are your net profit. You can get an idea if a coin is going to get dumped from the sell walls being thick, but many times the whales manipulate the sell side to collect the coins from loose hands before a pump.

There are alot of indicators that can show you if it will go up or down (pump or dump) but of course sometimes it fails to give you the right indicator because maybe the bulls or the bears manipulated it.
If you are talking about bitcoin, then according to what I have got after doing my studies and research is that the price of the bitcoin do not go down suddenly, it goes in a systematic manner and it has never happened that the price of the bitcoin dumped by $3k in an hour, so if there is some price dump news in the market and it has some serious flaws related to it, then there are chances that it will go further down, else it will comeback and a bit stronger.

So i want to know is there any strategy to protect your balance before the dump?
Anyone can help please.

Doing our own analysis and finding the most under valued coin is the best possible way to stop losses irrespective of the market situation. We could just stay cool even if our invested coin price goes down as we know it would retain soon. Also you said that you invest in ICO and that's also another way which investors nowadays use to avoid losses by trading.Just invest in ICO and sell your ICO coins when it's price increases.

When you have gained $30,000 or your $5,000 investment went that high, why there's a need to be greedy? That's more than 100% of gain so why not sell?

No one does have the meter to know when will be the possible dump will happen. The market is unpredictable and every move from big market shakers are also unpredictable.

I know that the price of a certain coin falls sharply only for two reasons. One is that the project is facing a series of bad news, causing investors to panic and withdraw funds that made the price of the project decline when no one wants to invest. Second is the shark together discharge, profit-taking to squeeze the price down, which will also make the price plummeted and made the new investors the negative effect negatively impact the price.

You can analyze it with TA (Technical Analysis) but is not 100%

The best way to know before it will be dumped is when the coin reach beyond the latest ATH and the wall is thick

With a market as volatile as cryptos, it's hard to tell. Thus, you always need a sell strategy. When your coin hits a certain price point where you've planned to sell then sell without hesitation.

You can predict but not all of your prediction is right since no one sees the future.
For me, I am very much happy already if I have more good predictions than my mistakes and I know with proper fund management
I will be able to end up successful in the end.

Before creating the delay and go into the dump. Note the amount of actual trading on its trading floors and try to find information that may affect the trend. Before the latency created you can pull it up by launches.

sometimes, this is happening but sometimes the price is not getting dump but down for a little. we can see the dump is coming when the coin is getting delist in the market and the price will down for fast without any delay because people don't want to get any risk or get a loss to hold delist coin. the other sign is when the bad news is release and makes people panic so they sell the coin.

Try to get familiar with the charts and useful indicators like RSI and MACD. Sometimes spread can also be a sign of a pump / dump, when the buy and sell prices are spread apart more than normal.

You can never say what will happen next. It may happen now that some XYZ person says some shit about bitcoin and the price goes so high that everyone is awed
The price of bitcoin is very volatile but not as much as you are making out to be, bitcoin can go up or down but most of the time when there is a major movement in the coin is because something is happening, the price increase in the previous year happened because segwit was finally activated in the network and this made everyone bullish about the future of bitcoin.

No one can ever tell when the value of the market will dump or pump. There are some sites you can use to find out when you can buy and sell or to hold coins. You can watch it and track every minutes, everyday here in https://cryptowat.ch/, hopefully it helps you a lot.

If the price of crypto currencies increasing too fast then chance for dump is possible but there is no way to find the price dump because it is too volatile market so even the experts can't predict it.

It's very hard to determined to know the prices before dump. You know, bitcoin value and other cryptocurrencies prices are always volatile, you should know this in the very first place before you invest. If you are already earning profit of the amount you invest sell it because you can have your earnings.

I see this in many times and I think it will always happen in the future. like what I see with zcl in the bittrex yesterday, the price suddenly getting a pump but in the next minutes, the price gets dump so hard and almost reach the bottom price again but gladly, it stops at more than 0.001x btc. I think we can see this again in the future and get ready to take a profit before the price is down too hard and makes us cannot take a profit.

That's right, we cant really predict even the most old ones that are in crypto for long. No one can forsee when will be the dump happen in the market. But mostly, we can see the price that are going up we can grab the chance to take profit because we dont know yet when will be the next dump.

You can basically learn  basic technical analysis and apply it on the higher end time frames like the daily or the weekly charts.

Use moving averages and when it breaks the moving average it's usually a time to sell.

Only issue is that it's usually too late to sell at a good price since they are all lagging indicators

If you have access to privileged information about what the huge investors will do then you could in fact predict the direction of the market but how many people have that information? Very few I guess, but if someone has it then that person is not going to share it with anyone since who is going to share information that can make you millions of dollars in each single trade.

First, you should put in mind that it is the nature of crypto currency to dump and pump anytime.  It is volatile. Second, There is no formula that will give you hint if the crypto will dump or pump because if there will be any then many investors are super rich by now.  You should understand that cryptocurrecncy do not have stable price so, earning and losing investment is part of the whole picture.  The good thing about crypto currency is even it dump it always recover.  Meaning, as long as you keep holding your crypto, you always have chance to recover your loses.

Lock your profits or cash out your initial investments so that all of the assets you still holding are all your profits from your previous trades. You can't hold then moon, moon is too far but you can hit homeruns ( it's still a homerun )

Checking on YouTube and seeing what any prediction video is telling you is only going to end up making you to lose more. If you cannot make trading decisions yourself, then you have no business trading than to just hold.

No one can know when a market will dump, but a trader can know the reaction a market can give at a particular point in time, based on what they are looking at with the indicators and that is what they trade. Someone telling you some prediction of what happens tomorrow will only get you more confused.

It is not even possible. Except for whales of course that are always waiting for the right time to offload on the market, no one can know specifically when to drop the load or when not to.

The fact however is that there are sometimes in the market when you know something crazy is about to come and that is when you end up seeing a pumped market. In that case, you just have to mellow, sell at the top when you see some signals and then wait for the bottom, but in any way, knowledge will still be needed.

Anyone that does not even understand that level of volatility before investing apparently missed the road trying to invest in the first place. One thing with this market is that it will always have its own time and then we can get to see where things end up from there. Nothing can be predicted, although some signs are shown by indicators if a market is about to switch trends, but anyone without that knowledge will obviously not get the best from it and will only end up losing more trying to predict a dump.

Yes the market is very hard to predict that's why we need to study it before entering and also before making a trade we should confident on that coin so that we dont regret or believe in any news that appear because we are believing that this coin will become successful in the future whatever news that appear against on it. Avoid also to become greedy because sometimes it cause a loss of profit to us and can lead to loss our capital if we want to trade the coin in a day only and not wanted to longterm it but if you believe on that coin do not have a worry because you know that this coin will be given you a good profit in the future.

Predicting what will happen to the market price will just cause you to expect and be stress. The market in this community is very volatile and changes every time so there is no good in trying to know what will happen next. The moment we enter here, we must know and accept the risk that is in here that our investments will be at stake. The night you sleep, the price might be soaring up high and then when you wake up in the morning you will be surprised to see that the price have been dumping while you are sleeping. You see, when it comes to cryptos and its market no one really knows what will happen next, we can only have speculations.

It will be best to just learn and study how you are going to make the most profit from the volatility of the coins rather than trying to figure out its dump and pump.

Chart analysis and taking the point of view of the experts is the only thing which can really help you in having some fair idea of this thing but still you can’t be sure that whether your predictions are right or not. If you managed to know this thing somehow, then you really need to make yourself very well prepared to face those situations and that you need to keep your emotions under your control then.

So instead of believing others prediction better, we can predict based on our knowledge. I am not a day trader So I will not worry about this dump and pump. when my coins will get a good price that time I will sell until that I hold my coins.

You could easily sell when your investment has become 30K or something which you are depicting here. Then you can re-invest the money which is your profit and money that you earned out of the pump. This way you will keep re-grwoing your money and the point will come when you will be in the position of no loss at all. Imagine, your 5000 USD getting into some 500K one day can drive your investment out of the box. With that kind of money your investment will never be in loss even if the currencies take falls due to dumps. Because they wont be enough to get you in trouble at all.

Thank you so much.

There's a way to protect your balance before the dump, your capital 5000 USD and if went up in 30000 USD you can reinvest your  the money that was your profit and that you earned out of the pump. In that way if the Crypto coins are going dump your capital was save and you only need to do is wait until the value of your coins are increasing their price.

better to sell if we think that give us enough profit.don't be greedy that could make us suffering loss.when your portofolio worth $30k from $5k from your investing that very very good.and better to liquidate it first to take our profit.and when price going down again we could rebuy and earn profit.

This is no perfect prediction in knowing when will the dump. TA will be of big help but not 100% guarantee though. There are too many indicators to consider so I suggest to just start doing research. There are guides in youtube and other sites like Investopedia.

Yes I agree on that, no one can really predict on what will be the exact time of that dumping status. Because some of the investors or maybe bitcoin user have their own way of understanding some negative issue, and the out come of the lowlessness of trust may leads btc pump and dump status and we cannot really predict such thing, because everything depend on the volume of the bitcoin on the market place.

Now it is time to dump and it is continue from November 2017, even you could see bitcoin has a big dump and it was come from $20000 and still we are hopeless. My few friends bought bitcoin in $17000 and still they hold it because of big lose and waiting a good time when they sell their bitcoins. You could guess mostly people feel uncomfortable because it is a period of dumping. So i will suggest you search on YouTube and see the prediction videos about crypto currencies, then you could predict about coins.

Doing what someone else recommends is the fastest way to lose your money you do not know why this person is suggesting to do this moves at least when you are reading the charts yourself you have an idea why you are doing the trades you are doing this is why I have always thought that those websites selling signals are just a huge waste of time.

In my opinion, before the dump, you will find there are few shopping points and lots of sales. Other orders were sold because sellers did not want to sell at low levels.

I agree with you, it is better if we can take our profit than to see the price gets dump because we don't know when the price will increase again. and if we are expecting for the highest price then we need to learn more about the analysis because this is the main things that we should know so we can predict where the price will move and we can make buy or sell in that time. for me, if I can see that my capital increase to $30k, I will sell it and wait for another low price because I am sure that after this, the price will get downs and even it will get dumps too hard.

Once the coin hits a high point, the players will start selling off their coins, but not all of them at once – this signals the dumping process is about to begin. It can happen in a matter of seconds or be dragged out over hours. Players will sell small amounts of coins as fast as they can without dragging the price down until their out.

Once the players are out, a panic sell begins, and this is when the dumping process happens. The price is no longer climbing the volume is down, and people start realizing their own sell orders aren’t getting filled. Panic sellers will sell below the market value just to get out, and this can send the coin’s value crashing to the floor.

The dump will start after pum. If you see some coin going pretty high without reason and weak fundamental cause like the developer did not do anything usefull for the project or no very good news comes up but the price rise its probably pump and will be dump hard after that. And you can look at chart 4hour or one hour chart if its green candle stick and its too high dont buy it. It is sign of pump and dump coin.

We can see that the market over the last few months is showing drooping, and the decline in value is extremely serious. The prices of bitcoin and altcoin are continuously decreasing in the past days. I think bitcoin prices are going down so much in part that is the annual cycle and psychology of investors. In addition, the continuous bad news with bitcoin caused the bitcoin price to drop sharply and now there is a correction when the G20 meeting.

There is really no one who can predict accurately the time when will some coin will drops because it always unpredictable. I am into cryptos for almost a year and until now i just use my godfeel and the behavior of the coin for almost months because as what I've noticed some coins depends on the bitcoins price or value in the market whenever i see that the bitcoins price are dropping into the market i notice that after some hours the price of the other coins are also falling so that is my basis.

there are two ways to know when the dump will happen. the first, you could use technical analys to predict the price of altcoins. besides, you also can hunt information in the market to know the trend.

For me, I usually search the overall News of cryptocurrency, or some specific News I'm interested. Then I may take analysis on the charts though it's hard to predict. The most important thing is to study the basic knowledge rather than trying to figure out its dump and pump.

I don't believe anyone knows that because if they did, no one loose their money as everyone would get out before the dump but I only believe a few traders who fully understand Technical analysis can predict the price which gives them a view of when to get in and out
I would recommend you to learn TA as I see it helps many , have seen some twitter crypto trader ogs predict price and it goes the way they predict it to be

There are some signals about the dump before it truly happens. But first of all, you need to know how to analyze the graph and have some experience in trading. Nothing can be on the top forever. If they are on the top too long, there will be a big dump and beware of it

Well, data on the market will always give us a clear view of the dump but the problem is that we can recognize and determine the right time or not, that's the important thing, most of the inexperienced people will not recognize or recognize very late. And exactly as you say, nothing is rising forever, when a coin reaches high values will also be the time it may become a dumping, we should remember that, usually it will collapse very quickly, so when we see that, quickly sell all, sometimes it is also a false signal but little profit will still be better than a loss

You have a lot of indicators (RSI & Stoch) that shows overpriced market; so you can see when the price is going to drop. But you never can predict certainly. The best way is to combine fundamental and technical analysis. For example, 100% that after G20  cryptocurrencies gonna drop.

If you want to sell it to not loss a lot just when dumping start and first like price loss about 15-20% for 1 day you just wait next price backup like its goes to 7-10% back and then you need sell you position because next will be next dump stage and you will loss more !

Suck it up. Cryprocurrency is a very volatile market, so always expect those kinds of violent price swings; we don't expect prices to go up forever. If you're expecting a crash, sell your crypto for fiat. That way, you don't lose value out of your investments, and you can buy back at a lower price.
Good suggestions indeed. Volatile market can go upward or downward anytime. There is no way to predict dump accurately. Therefore after works of dump is necessary for minimizing loss.Experience and knowledge can help here.

There is no way to protect your balance if you are doing a trading crypto unless you are going to convert it to a tether/usdt. You know that crypto market is very volatile, there are lots of ups and down of coins value. Its hard to know the exact time if when it will going to dump.

I think it also depends on the market cycle. During the bull market, these type of FUDS won't turn the market down. There might be a small dip and it moves on its own. But in the bear market, the market will further crash for any small FUDs also.

I don't that we can easily to predict the price in the crypto market because the dump can be happen in anytime and no one can know. so I think we don't have to think about when the time before the dump, as long as we can use our time to make a profit, we could do many things like buying and sell the coins. but if we are too afraid because there is a dump that will happen, then we don't have to buy any coins and only keep our bitcoin or altcoin in our wallet.

When the market is going up people do not have a tendency to believe in FUD simply because they can see the market is growing and so FUD has not affect, but when the market is going down then people are very sensitive to any kind of bad news, that is where FUD can be very effective and can make a small dip in the market a very big dip and in some cases it can make it even a crash.

TA is always helpful as a lot of member who are really expert rely on it. But its really very difficult to see the dumps because it can happen any time of the day because the market never sleeps.

Heck, I can even see wild swings in just a couple of minutes and before you can react, the market is already dumping and you can't do anything about it but to hold and watch how deep it can go.

Of course fake news is the catalyst of all of this, but what if the fake news is just release and you are sleeping on the other side of the planet?

It is hard to tell because there are not device or some people that are really can predict and know when will a coin will dump because there are unpredictable because their volatility depends on the behavior of the people around the world. So there are no one that can say if that coin is gonna dump. Just botice that every after a huge rise they can always dumo a huge too because the people will sell their holding in that kind of situation. So you better just know the situation to predict it by yourself.

you just have to get ready, because before dump, there will be good news for a coin, and after something goes well, maybe coins will soon dump. it's like waiting for a coin to enter a new market, because before entering the market, the price will pump, and after entering, then the price will dump. well, that's probably one of them.

Theres no way you can know when a coin is going to be dumped. You will only know if you should sell your coins is if you start seeing red flags. Thats why only invest in coins with strong fundamentals and you wont have to worry about the dumps as you will be sure that the coins will recover.

I agree with your words, it is true that way to him, pumps and dumps are very difficult to predict so that it can happen anytime you have to have time to keep observing the movement so you can get out before going to waste, as you have described some groups can pump and dump they are organized doing so, so they can send a signal to their members that the disposal will be done soon, I do not recommend that you join the group, if you are late in responding to the sign will start you can fall deeper because of the disastrous

Crypto market is volatile so if you see bad news about bitcoin, it will decrease up to 10%++
So it's difficult to predict !

instability is a natural and sure thing in the crypto, so you have to keep monitoring the market and sell what you have when you've made a profit. and do not ever regret what you've got. maybe that's just the best way.

Its another way around though it was helpful not to wait for the dump as long as you earned already. Knowing when the market will falls down is clueless, this happens in a matter of seconds or right after a bad news was posted to public. Not everytime we can monitor the market so it will be hard to know.

You can see that the market in the early months of 2018 is dump very strong and still have no signs of recovery. It can be seen that the psychology of the crowd is gradually withdrawing from the market, market capitalization is falling extremely strong. Therefore, it is time for us to consider and take into account the capital situation. You can clearly see that at the moment with technical analysis, the price of bitcoin will continue to dump and possibly to the $ 6000 mark.

Yes it increases and decreases with market so if in market bitcoin is getting more and more value it means bitcoin price is going to rise very high but if you see people are selling at high level of bitcoin then we should know that bitcoin is going to lose value and it will have dump, but it happens very rare most of the time bitcoin get move ahead and it does not decrease very high, so if you see bitcoin market getting high value sell but at dump hold on and be patient you will win the ground.

If you really want to safeguard what you've earned, then the best way for that is to actually get your investment out of the cryptocurrency market circulation. What I mean is just withdraw the money and re-invest back an amount that you feel comfortable with, whether it's higher than your initial investment or just the similar amount. At least, if you do that, all the earnings will be converted to money, which you can put in business or in a bank. In that way, even if the coins go up or down, your earnings would not be affected.

Tackling bad news in a short time is a way to reduce investor confidence in the market and consequently lead to strong dumps. If you regularly watch a crypto before dump it usually stays the same value but the trading volume of the day will decrease gradually and then suddenly there will be a large sell and psychological investors will fear and they will sell in bulk as the value of crypto dump very deep.

in my opinion, there are 2 ways to predict the dump. you can use the info or the technical analys. but i believe technical analys than the info because there are too many fake news in the market now and it can make you sell panicly
The truth is there is no way to know, technical analysis is a great tool but only the experts are able to foresee future crashes by just looking at the charts most people struggle just to try to determine if the price is going to go up to go down, and using the news can be very deceiving because there are many fake news that may seem as if they are real and as if a news was official only to find out that it wasn't and you lose money as a result.

There are too many system to know Market price is dump. If you know chart pattern you can analyses dump and pump because chart pattern is a very effective for crypto currency trading. At first you need to more experience with crypto currency trading without any experience you can't do this because it is very critical to know the dump but all time this prediction is not work very well, suddenly this market is breakdown and no one can say exactly . I am a crypto currency trader and I am work here around 4 years so I analyses the total market system but sometime I mistake because market is going to agonist with me, because prediction is not work all time sometime prediction is going against of chart pattern and on that time I just lost some money, But there are two money signal site give a signal for you if you join Telegram group you can get a some signal before the dump.

I think some people can't predict, although some signs are shown by indicators if the market to switch trends, anyone without that knowledge will obviously not get the best from it. So you just only losing money, when trying to predict a dump.

I do not really like the moments when some people try to control the market. I believe that this is artificial manipulation and full abuse of its capabilities.

well, cryptocurrency is the market with the highest fluctuating value in my opinion, today its price can rise very high and the next day it drops very drastically, the only way is to exchange your assets into fiat and buy them back at low price.
but if you're holding for holding you do not have to look at market conditions all the time.

Theres honestly no way of knowing when a dump will happen.  Maybe if you had access to information from trading groups who have people with a lot of money in them but other than that you wont know.  You can try to predict a dump by watching prices and see if they rise too much and base your trades on that.  In my opinion, if a coin rises 100% or more then I would sell and wait for it to drop to buy back.

not everyone can know when it's time to dump because everyone can only predict it, and the fact is always not in accordance with what is predicted, so I think you better sell the coins you have when the price is good, and if the price down then you should be patient to hold it until the price grows again ..

Exactly, no one can predict. Each and everyone of us want to gain profit here in crypto currency community. Which we try to have a great amount of profit for the short period of time but in some point we need to hold it for long period of time wishing to have much more profit. As we can't even know the possible value from time to time we should be patience and wait the perfect time as we set a great value for the amount of profit we want.

The problem is people want to believe that is possible somehow to outsmart the market and make money that way but if you stopped and think about it, it is very easy to realize that most people that become traders need to become losers, if someone obtains profits then that means that someone else needs to lose and when you add the fact that you need to pay fees to the exchange and taxes this creates even more losers on the long run.

I think it also depends on the market cycle. During the bull market, these type of FUDS won't turn the market down. There might be a small dip and it moves on its own. But in the bear market, the market will further crash for any small FUDs also.

if you invest for the long term then you should consider peak cryptos like bitcoin and ethereum. Because all the new coins that have their ICO are not as promising as others that already exist in the market. High risk factors in ICO. The only thing you can do to protect yourself from loss is after investing, having a fixed percentage of profit after which you will sell the coin when the coin pumps to a certain value

The thing is, when prices go up expect that their will always be a price drop because a lot of holders tend to sell their coins because they take advantage of it. I am no expert in the market but this things can be a cue for you when to hold or to buy.

It is all your experience and the knowledge regarding the things which can help you in having some fair idea of the market in the coming days and that you need to do lot of hard work for that. You need to go for chart analysis and similar techniques like that which can help you in predicting the market value of any of the coin in the future. you need to plan the things accordingly and do have some backup plan in your mind as well.

I think if it's the token from the ICO, it is better to sell directly after the tokens get listed in the market because usually, the tokens will get pump from the traders and then the price will be down too hard to stay at the low price. and this is the good time for us to buy the tokens if we don't have it or we can buy more amount for the tokens. but for the coin that already existing in the market, I don't think that will easy to detect the dump is coming but maybe the price will go down if the bitcoin price increases.

Any market that goes up excessively has a downward revision to balance the market. You are so successful and lucky that the money you spend is constantly profitable. 30k is a good profit compared to 5k you spent. No problem, you are still profitable. Pay attention to the incremental value of Bitcoin and ETH. If ETH and Bitcoin decrease, be careful with your property and convert it to Usdt.

It is incredible how the simple truth is misunderstood by most of the people when the price of an asset goes up in a dramatic fashion the truth is that most the time that price will be unsustainable for the long term and sooner or later it will go down and you must be ready and prepared when that happens by selling before that happens or by holding.

YOu have to know that this is very normal mate! Bitcoin is very volatile and what you are experiencing right now is very normal with this could happen anytime. The price can either be high or low anytime and we have to accept that fact. You don't decide immediately to dump it because in the end, the loss will be yours and I bet you don't want to let that happen. Just be observant.

For some coins you can check in block explorer (eg https://chainz.cryptoid.info)

you should check this rich list, and if the rich list coin is reduced and you're sure that coin is sent to an exchange, so it's will  dump soon.

If it is some altcoin which future needs to be predicted, a person needs to look at the price of bitcoin. When it will start increasing, that means a pump is near for altcoins too and whenever bitcoin declines, altcoins also start decreasing. However, it is not easy to predict the upcoming phase especially the duration for which it will last of bitcoin.Best is to read predictions of crypto experts.

You can not predict the market dump or pump at any time. Because if there is a formula, the Crypto market does not appear. I advise you not to believe in the idea that some people can predict the market, it is completely fraud.
So I think you should change your investment strategy to fit the way the Crypto market operates.

I made a little analysis with ethereum last night, I draw a line on the chart just want to know if it's the highest price or not. and I see that the line is at the highest price and I say to myself if the line/wall break then the price will increase higher but suddenly, the bitcoin price getting down although it's not too deep. the impact is, ethereum price get dump too hard and the red line is shown in last night. but I am not expecting to see a more red line but the next hours, I see the red line is down too deep.

so, I think if the price is at the highest price, then it means we need to be careful because sometimes, there are a correction or something like that that will make the price to get down even getting down too deep. and what we can do is we need to prepare and if we want to sell our coins, we can do it when the price still in the highest price so we could still take our profit.

The most easiest way is to avoid it. Do not put your money on Cryptocurrency that has a high chance of being dumped. Only invest on cryptocurrencies where you know the developers won't bail out on their holders. That is what you can do nest is to avoid shitcoins as no matter how informed you are you might be too late before they start dumping their shares.

Create a profits target, don't look at the market because the prices always changing, sometimes its going up and sometimes its down. Just set your target profits or set your time to hold if you are a long term traders. You know, we can't control the market but we follow it.

Even if you do that you will never be able to predict that there is a dump in progress, you're only going to see that the price is going down but you will never know if the price is going down just a little bit of it or if it will go down a lot, this is why if you are worried about the coin in which you invested is going to dumped the best thing is to invest in solid coins that you know are going to recover even if they dumped.

I think no one knows about the exact time on when the market price dump. We do not have the same sight and speculation about bitcoin that is why sometime it will really drop down because someone is droping tier holdings. If the people dump their holdings the bitcoin will also has a big drop on the market price. In short it depends upon its volume and volume depends on the feedback. We trust bitcoin because it has a good feedback around the globe.

But if you are a serious trader you will be ready for every scenario because you would know how easily market can change. Also with experience you will get some hunch that will help you to make the decision.

5k USD is big money and you should just buy coins that have great potential so you do not worry when dumps happen, coins that have great potential and have high enthusiasm in the market will surely increase again. There is special knowledge to you can read graphics on the market, but if you do not have that knowledge and always worry when dump, then I would advise you not to buy tokens from an ICO, just buy the coins as I said before, then you do not need to worry when dump if only buy coins that have great potential.

Exactly, our experience will help us to feel the danger is approaching, we will know the pumping time has ended, the dump time will begin, from there we can make reasonable decisions and help us avoid deadly storms. Although this is often incorrect but it's still better than no way to define the dump, I rarely analyze the market to know before the dump because the market can always produce false signals, observations only make us confused and have no direction to solve, I believe in intuition and the cycle of the market more

Meaning to say we can't tell what will happen next hours, days or months even the longest trader's cannot predict this coming dump or pump. So that we have this what we called guts and sometimes our guts can be true or false so we can't rely either in our predictions and even on our guts but sometimes it is applicable.

Study some technical analysis and use support, resistance and trendline break on higher timeframes like Daily (D) or Weekly. This timeframe is good for longtime hodlers like you. Sell if the chart is about to go down and buy at the bottom. Follow your plan 100% and dont get emotional.

Well, I think that's the best way to actually have something that resembles "notice" or "knowledge" before a dump happens. Although realistically speaking that it doesn't work that way with certainty, and there is actually no one way to actually guess when it will happen. The best way for anyone is to study data and check how the market changes and trends are affecting the assets and the market itself. I think, however, that it can't be done to a lot coins, instead it is more effective to do it on some coins only; those that, at least, could give out a good profit in the end.

With a market as volatile as cryptos, it's hard to tell. Thus, you always need a sell strategy. When your coin hits a certain price point where you've planned to sell then sell without hesitation.

I agree with your point of view when it comes to the profit we set, we should sell it without hesitation. And how to know it before the dump is very difficult to do.

I think you should observe the trade history, you must follow the trend of your coins. If you see that the support cannot handle the situation and the resistance are aggressive in the market, you will find out that the next stage will be a dump. You will notice it if you will see the series of lower lows and lower highs, this is what we called sign for a downtrend.

My opinion about dumps, usually it will starting by some fud news happen in social media, although we can see clear this is only issue but in fact many people always got trapped into this then panic selling happens. Even it is can'e easy to predictable, but i do usually checking my exchanges market at 7 am GMT, because by some past time experiences i got those dumps happen from early morning.

No one can successfully predict a dump you might have seen people telling to sell but he's not completely sure what you can do instead is set stop loss as the price increases and keep securing little profit as the price increases with this you can keep your profit and even be ready if a dump occurs

The news it depends because with or without news the coin pumps and dumps so it is case by case basis from the chart and market movement in main volatlility of bitcoin that affects other to move up and down. I am also a panic seller but i try to change it, panic selling have no good side in buying altcoins especially not having a good information on it. Last the time yes and time matters but sometimes if not it depends on the bitcoin movements again.

You stayed here for five months but this is what you have learned?this kind of mind thinking?lol

By watching and analysing the market you maybe can get some signs of possible dump but still you can't know for sure. For that you would need a cristal ball.
But if you are a serious trader you will be ready for every scenario because you would know how easily market can change. Also with experience you will get some hunch that will help you to make the decision.
Exactly, our experience will help us to feel the danger is approaching, we will know the pumping time has ended, the dump time will begin, from there we can make reasonable decisions and help us avoid deadly storms. Although this is often incorrect but it's still better than no way to define the dump, I rarely analyze the market to know before the dump because the market can always produce false signals, observations only make us confused and have no direction to solve, I believe in intuition and the cycle of the market more
It is not so easy to analyze and observe the dump situation. Critical and regular study can make us able to take some good decisions about the future of certain coin and make our trade profitable but sometimes predictions betray us and all our decisions become false. Experience works but not all the time because it is the world of cryptocurrency and anything is possible.

Big word to remember, inside crypto industry anything is possible, so even we anticipating things to happen favoring us sometimes the sway
will let us down, we should remember that whales are present to this system and they are much better than us, so in order to assess well
better to study deeper and find those things that will lead us to assess well, experience will give us some ideas but not every time things will

According to this moment I have no right strategy to overcome the losses when the coins we hold down. But if you invest in altcoin there is a signal when you have to sell or buy, now the price movement of altcoin and bitcoin is parallel or when the price of Bitcoin decreases then altcoin price goes down and when Bitcoin price goes up then altcoin price goes up.
an opportunity for you to take advantage of the moment.
So good luck and I hope you succeed !!
Remember !! Do not all in.

Typically, a big drop contributes some kind of negative news about bitcoin, most often from China. Even if the market for a long time grows, then there can always be a correction.

As far as I know, price dump happens when all cryptos shoots up then one suddenly stops joining in the bandwagon and drops with significant value. Hence, when you see all prices soar beyond contemplated, be wary because a sudden drop is going to take place. And interestingly, it is Bitcoin that is last to drop. This is the tricky part because when you play with numbers in this investment, you really can hardly predict price movements because of its volatility. For one, you do not know up to what extent the prices will shoot hence you will have no wild estimate of when the prices will drop. To be honest, it always seems like it is easy to play on with this market but it really is not what it seems.

The market in recent days is fluctuating continuously in large amplitude and is difficult to guess, so to be able to know when the dump is absolutely impossible. You can only guess when the price of bitcoin will have big changes, but can not predict the price of bitcoin will decrease or how much.

I guess you can see what's the current sentiments and read news about the coins that you are planning to dump. Altcoin I think is much easier to predict in my opinion because you can see from the chart that its already been pumped hard so expect the dump coming. But as far as bitcoin is concern, yes, its very difficult because no one can really says where the next price movement will be. That's why I don't wait for the price to get to the bottom, if I feel that I'm comfortable with the price and I have the funds then I will buy it, simple as that.

If you are a trader you know when will you buy and when you sell.  Because some trader study the strategy  in candlesticks and some pattern. The trader is can see if the chart is uptrend and down trend. Down trend is like stair going down and the opposite is going up for uptrend.

Crypto has too high volatility so to avoid big loss and to keep profit you should learn about trading, and swing trading is more easy to do and less consuming times. The price dump because 2 factor, those is the price on overbought or in the top already and any bad news related crypto. To become expert trader we should learn about situation of the market and also make management of risk.

Those who have many years of experience investing in this market can not predict this. You can only invest according to your guesses. But predictions may be true or false.
Meaning to say we can't tell what will happen next hours, days or months even the longest trader's cannot predict this coming dump or pump. So that we have this what we called guts and sometimes our guts can be true or false so we can't rely either in our predictions and even on our guts but sometimes it is applicable.
You are right and that’s why I never make my decisions according to predictions because I don’t believe predictions. The market trend tells the truth. No doubt that experience and knowledge helps us to make our decisions on the right time, but it not always favor. When you understand the dump and pump situation then you will be a successful trader.

Title: Re: How to know before the Dump?

I think we don't have to know about when the dump is coming because as long as we can sell at the high price then we are fine and we can wait for the price is down so we can buy the coin again. I guess no one will know when the dump comes as what we see in the market is always change in any second and without having preparation about the worst thing, then we can only panic to see the price is getting down. and before the price is down, it is better that we calculate how much we will lose if we don't sell the coin and how much we will take a profit if we sell right now.

before investing in Crypto you have to know the basis of his crypto is what, fortunately his how and how his loss.

so when you have invested you will understand about the profit or loss.

we can not know when the Coin goes down and up, but before buying the coin look at Coin Market Cap on Announcement, Fanspage Social Media and Website coin.

when there is bad news from social media it means going down and when the good news then the coin will rise.

A word of caution to all the people who think you can get rich by Pump and dump groups, Please don't part and just observe. Look at the price of the coin when you’re notified of the coin they’re choosing. If you find that you’re notified after it already surged and you find that a small part of the group is buying it up before hand. The price of bitcoin is very volatile but not as much as you are making out to be, bitcoin can go up or down but most of the time when there is a major movement in the coin

Currently bitcoin is at a very good level so you can buy in due to the bad news repeatedly encountered. That's the problem from time to time we don't man. It is hard to tell because there are not device or some people that are really can predict and know when will a coin will dump because there are unpredictable because their volatility depends on the behavior of the people around the world

So for me as i always keep in touch to the value of bitcoin and to reduce the losses of what i invest i hodl the half of it and the other was traded in a short term or daily.

You don’t need anyone to tell you when the price is getting dumped. It’s only someone who is so dumb that can’t realize when the price is being dumped. You have to monitor the price most times (yes, monitor it most times because it’s your work) to know  when is going down, whenever the price starts getting low then it’s the right to find a solution for yourself.

Some people like me would prefer to convert their money to fiat immediately to avoid the loss, and there are others who would prefer to hold it no matter, cause they believe the price will still go up no matter what.

The dumping price is defends to us ofcoarse if many people sell their coins or altcoins the price will dump . There's no signal when dump happen maybe if you see a lot of bad news happen to the coin you held if you see that better to sell your coins because maybe you lose some of your capital if you still hold that coin. But don't sell all because maybe after the dumping price it will become very high the price.

If you want to play it safe, you can try short-term investments.
Where if you already get a profit of more than 30% then you can take advantage of it.
Do not use your profits to invest. Simply use the capital fund as an investment.

Exactly no one can tell you. You should analyse yourself. If you got 2x or 3x profit there is no meaning hold your coin  or token. Just sale it and see forward for other opportunity.  Specially for ICO, once it add on exchange normally it's price will go up. Then you should sale it. If you think to hold then you will be loss. Same like other coin too. Once it's price is up then you should sale it. Once down you should buy again. But if price down after buy then you have to hold. You must need patience for get profit from crypto.

Exactly if a dump in the market was predictable then it will be very easy to make a fortune with it, you will just need to short bitcoin or any coin for which you could predict the dump, wait until it reaches the bottom, cash out and rinse and repeat, but that is never going to happen because the nature of the market is completely unpredictable and that is the way it should be.

well you need to learn how to trade, read the chart, that's the best you could do so the total value of your coins in usd is stable, convert it too usdt when you think its time to sell and then just buy more when its down, in that way you have doubled your holdings and profit big when the value goes up again.

We have to have at least a little knowledge or basic info before starting a trading with that we can easily transact thing and as time goes by we will finally see if the price will dump thru our experience and getting updated with that certain coin that we are investing at.

when you've gained 100% then immediately sell it, so do not wait for the ride again because other investors jug afraid of loss. in the world of acrypto do not be greedy but should always be grateful.

This is certainly very difficult to predict and usually, I just use my heart and mind alone. But the rest I really can not be sure whether to go up or even going down in a short time. But even if the price suddenly dropped as much as possible I always am calm and not reckless to take decisions in panic again. And most importantly I remain confident and optimistic that the price will surely rise again.

Whoever know when to dump then he must be lucky or will be a geek in crypto trading and of course he's now rich but apparently no one can forsee it. I mean it's hard to know it exactly and we just can do is speculate the price but still nothing is certain. Personally, I dump just some percentage and when I feel that there's something up then I just do it.

True. As a rule, it is impossible to predict the prices of the coins and foresee the market fall. You have to follow the crypto news all the time to try to do it.

You have to learn more about situation and the trend of crypto market, and also learn about technical analysis to know the price on oversold and overbought. When you on profit should sell half of that asset to lock the profit, this important to keep the profit and to avoid loss. Dont put all money in crypto, but put also some money in to fiat or USDT so when we see any other opportunity we can use it to buy that coin and to make other more profit.

Unfrotunatly you can't know about dump so you can only predict based on past experience. At my opinion the best srategy is not be greedy and make every deal with profit.

how to know before the dump is you have to see the history of the market price there you can see when it will rise when it will go down, if the price drops and in a week the equivalent price it means the price will go up and vice versa.

I really sorry to say this, there is no option to find before it dump. Because Cryprocurrency is a very volatile market, so always expect those kinds of violent price always swings. The most easy way is to avoid it. dont put your money on Cryptocurrency that has a high chance of being dumped

Suck it up. Cryprocurrency is a very volatile market, so always expect those kinds of violent price swings; we don't expect prices to go up forever. If you're expecting a crash, sell your crypto for fiat. That way, you don't lose value out of your investments, and you can buy back at a lower price.

This is clear enough on what to do. You sell when price tries to drop. You just have to equip yourself of some analysis like the fundamental. If you hodl while coin is falling, you have lost the difference between your capital and the move out from your buy price.

If you are not a "whale" that can influence the price and if you don't  have psychic powers to predict the future dump  then you can only guess. Or just decide for yourself: what is the top for you and sell without compunction when the price will rich this point .

You read that a trader should have a trade if you just agree with him, then this is fatal for you. The Trader's soul within this person must be made with a very solid foundation. If you want to know, and if someone knows for sure that the coin will fall, then it's wonderful.

Well, it is very difficult to know when the market starts a downward trend particularly in you are too greedy with profit without following your money management policy. Once you hit your target profit i see no reason why should not sell and wait for another opportunity to buy at a cheaper rate then sell when its value appreciate.

The crypto currency market is very volatile. No one knows exactly when will the next wave (pamp or dump). Ordinary traders or investors, like us, can constantly read news and learn a lot of information. Technical analysis strongly helps in understanding the market. So you need to seek as much knowledge and experience as possible - this can really help in a difficult situation.

I think you need to check the market once a day if there's any changes to you can see if it's down or up the price of your holdings. And we all know that market is volatile which is hard to know when is dumping days or pumping.

It is very hard to know whether the growth is undergoing a dump or it is a correction. However close you make the observation, it lets you to understand the reality behind the price moves. With this it is possible for you to predict the real market scenario. Simply buy when it is low, believing it'll increase.

No one really know when will be dump on the market.
Just keep an eyes on the cypto market or check it on coinmarketcap everytime to know when price is pump and dump.
Well, if you check their prices regularly on coinmarketcap, it may be good for us to hold, if the market tends to fall sharply, sell your tokens as prices fall, do not fall too deep. Thus the tokens price can go to bottom or to zero.

The dumping effect is something unpredictable until you notice that the graph is not stopping going down
And become everywhere red then this is the time you know that something bad is going to happen and this make us panic.
There are many private groups that are well coordinated to dump a coin and giving fake signals to all others to buy that coin and those who sold are going to make good money.

This is a very volatile market, it is really difficult to know before the dump, because it does not follow any rules, sometimes just a few news also cause price fluctuations. So when you make a profit, you can take the dollar, to buy another coin that you think has the potential to be fully or partially pegged. Strong psychology is important in this market.

I honestly believe that crypto experts are given the little experts not due to nothing. They really are good at predicting the changes of market. If someone will follow their words, it is not possible for him to have no idea about the upcoming phase. Bitcoin was expected to fall down after Christmas, it did. It was also predicted that April will be a surge up month, it was. Selling out should be done when the price is really high.

There is no way to predict a dump if you're not a market maker as a bitcoin or crypto whale. You can only hear from your friends and this hearing may be a rumor. It's impossible to track a dump before it happens for a regular trader.

Sometimes it’s not easy to tell when the price will go down, cause even when it’s going down it is fluctuating up and down (but down the most) and when it’s going up it is also doing the same thing. It is very difficult to tell exactly what is happening.

But the best is just to have a target for withdrawal, and once you hit that price rate and there isn’t  a sign for further increase in the price, then what you have to do is sell off before you wake the next day and be surprised by a heavy fall.

Dumping is really unpredictable it was not too easy to spot and we can only know whe  the market was red as an indication of dumping. If you bought a coin that is cheapper than the price then it was good but if not then you will gonna felt like you wanted to sell at loss. Holding and perfect buy timing is the key.

Well, we do not know when dumping coins, because many groups do this, except when a coin is delisting in its market it's definitely a dump, we just need to focus on trading so we know its actions if it can be lifted or down.

You can see that the market has been fluctuating continuously over the years and it's hard to predict, so I think it's very difficult to trade successfully at this time. Bitcoin prices have been fluctuating continuously and are still moving sideways. Currently, bitcoins are uptrend in the short term and in long term, bitcoin prices are still bearish. Thus the price of bitcoin can be reduced at any time.

I was about saying that what you said was wrong, but after a minute of thought I came to understand what you mean and you’re so damn right! Yep, whenever a price goes way to high at such rate or percentage increase, then there will surely be a dump because investors will be ready to sell what they have invested at that time. It’s always good to be watchful during this time, if you know you won’t be, then it will be better to sell when you’re still holding enough profit.

As it is our goal to make some good profit all investors tend to sell coins whenever the price is high. So when you see that the value has increased it means that the drop is coming after that because many people will decide to dump what they have.

You should not be upset when your money is reduced several times because it is the nature of the job. When the market goes down, all investors lose their significant amount of money. But the difference between a good and a normal person is psychological stability.
You should get used to this in order to have a better mood and good things will come to you. Talk about dump, no one can predict it, you need to have a strategy to fight it.

There is no strategy to protect your balance before it goes down and we also can not know before it goes down. Everything can only be run as is. You know if cryptocurrency is very volatile and you should not have to ask about this. Because for me this is no answer.

If you know for sure that there is a dump happening then go ahead and exchange your crypto to the regular money. Otherwise, the market has always been volatile and we all know it will be going through changes all the time.
Certainly coins are volatile for any market changes, the only thing that dump is predictable is when there is a big pump of such particular coin because if pump occurs many people sell their coin to make them profitable then what happens next is the big dump.

I think that practically visually everything is determined by the possibility of selling or buying coins, especially when the pricing chart is before your eyes. But to predict such a trend in the market is quite difficult, but some professionals still have the opportunity to anticipate Dump.

No one can actually tell on when the coin will be dumped in price. You can only take precautionary measures when you are purchasing alts. Do not buy coin at a high price. Its the golden rule for trading. Do not worry when a coins price got low because you will always have other coins to balance it. Trading is like an old fashioned weigh scale, if you already know how to balance the weight, you can earn money from it. Take some risk. I was told that fortune favors the brave.

Yes no one can really tell when will be the dumping of the price takes place. I believe that no one can predict regarding to the changes of the current price because no one can also predict what's on the mind of the different types of people that have been investing on the crypto currency feild. So then i believe that the price is seasonal because it depend upon the volume of the people who invested on it. If there are a few volume of investors the price will surely drop.

If you do not know that when will dump then you do not know trade. If you will study the market and will spend a good time in trading then you will reach to a stage when you will readily know from every event that when will the price of bitcoin or any other coin go rise and when will the price of them drop. Currently I can suggest you to hold on and wait for some more months to reach your money to more than $32000 again.

Dump and pump is a mistery. Nobody will know that, but yoi can analyze from the graph before and look at the team or developer. If the developer stay active on the forum or channel, it is possible that the coin will not be dumped in near time, but if you see the dev seldom to active on their forum or channel, keep aware from the dump.

To protect your possible profit you need to sell some of your coins if the price increase but not all. I think they have chances the price decrease or dump is coming if the they have a lot of bad news to the coin that you hold and many negative comments about that.

The pumpers use several techniques to go out their pump. It is critical to recognise that they will get their profits from you guys, which is probably buying the top of the candle because of following overdue pump alerts on telegram or whatever other assets. The pumpers have whether or now not setup micro sells all alongside the pumped candle or they unload into a purchase wall, they see. There are masses more advanced strategies to be had to them, like buying into their very very own walls repeatedly to create more fomo and as soon as human beings begin shopping for as well, they purchase into the already setup sell walls to go out the pump in small steps.

If we are involved on trading for quite some time then i cant deny that somehow we can already point out some situations where we can make presumptions that the price might go down this time which you would decide to sell out then if the price dump you do buyback. This kind of skills will really be mostly required by active traders yet long term investors doesnt need to trade actively thats why they shouldnt really bother themselves.

I think no one has a power to predict the price when it dump and when it rise. I believe that people has a different sight and understanding about the crypto currency trading and if they are about to make some speculation some of it is really having some basis. The basis is the volume of the demand or maybe buyers that buy and hold it for good. I think the effect of the price is transparent during the continueous selling .So then if there are dumped price will maybe drop.

If you know for sure that there is a dump happening then go ahead and exchange your crypto to the regular money. Otherwise, the market has always been volatile and we all know it will be going through changes all the time.

I think there is no one here who can help you in knowing when the dump will happen. No one know when it will happen. If i were you need to think wiser. If your balance reach $30k sell it and buy again when the price dump.
No one here does have a knowledge of knowing when were the next dump would happen. No one will guess and no will could make a precise predictions since cryptocurrencies are so volatile and constantly changing it's values so it is really hard to know when the next dump or when the next pump would do.

If someone knew about this then he will be a multi billionaire by now. He can even control the market by being a whale with every crypto currency that will be out there.

There is no way you can know it will drop. Different people have different amounts and once they all want to sell at the same time (which we dont know when will happen) the price will drop. It is possible to happen but unknown when.

You can not predict that, because the Crypto market is driven by the sharks. You can not do more than wait.
I know this will make people very upset but we are just small fish, we have no power. Accept your fate and create your own strategy against the downfall. :)

We can not analyse the initial dump of any ICO. If the dump started it is better to sell the coins than Holding as it will be more risky and Huge chances of Losses. Keep your money split into different ICOs, it is better to invest less amount in multiple ICOs, even if we get a loss at one ICO, we can be profitable with others.

No one knows how to do that not unless you are a time traveler but that never exist yet. So today not one can ever know when will be the exact date of a dumo all we know the theory that whenever the price of the coin gets into the moon realy far like their price really goes up high the next thing that is gonna happen to that is a huge downfall. That is the most accurate thing you can rely on. Because as you will look at the price history of all the coins like.bitcoins for example thry will always have ups and down

Actually I like ICOs that dump at the beginning as long as they raise a good amount during the ICO.
Based on my observation, the recover in time and that is the time to cash out as in the beginning it's the weak hands and the bounty hunters who are dumping.

Yes there is no expert in crypto market that can predict the true behavior of it. Volatility behavior is hard to determined when will be going to dump and pump as well. So keep monitor the marketplace which coins are going to buy and keep for long term investment plans that gives more profit in the long run.

It is impossible to know when the market will pump up, so keep your pennies long and persistent, buy them at low prices, and with your financial ability. So it is less worrying when the market drops. In the future, if you sell them, do not expect too much.

There is no way to predict a significant dump because as the part of the market you can only see that slight change that happens to the price every day. So you can understand what the direction like but not the clear outcome of the market's price.

Exactly, there's no way to predict a significant dump because we all know that this Cryptocurrency is very unpredictable. So in my case instead of knowing the next dump I'll just check the market everytime I have a free time so that I could alwasy update of what was happening in the prices in most present times.

For your question, I think we may not know when it will usually go up or down due to its unpredictability. As what I have seen in the charts for the past three years, it seems that the dumping period is common between January to April because of the crypto tax deadline. When it comes to that event, think of it as an opportunity to buy. Make sure you sell enough profits before the bearish period begins. Just my two satoshis.

Well this is basically the uncertainty in the crypto business. You never know when will be the dumb. All you can do is to stay focused on the goal and invest in long run. If you invest in long run, and assume there is price stability in the market like the current situation, the worth of the asset appreciates more than enough which further depends on the ratio of rise in price of a single coin.

If in a day the price of coins has decreased drastically then certainly it is a dump. Usually if a coin has been dumped out, it is possible to reach the highest position will be very difficult and takes quite a long time. And remember, the trade volume (24h) is the number of the sale and purchase transactions of the coin, high volume is not used as a reference could be a pump or dump. Therefore I will avoid to enter or buy when there is a price leap like that, unless there is a strong fundamentals that gives the reason for the change to occur.

Do not put your money on Cryptocurrency that has a high chance of being dumped. Only invest in cryptocurrency where you know the developer will not save the holder. That is you can do a nest to avoid shitcoins because no matter how much your information. Study some technical analysis and use support, resistance and trendline breaks at higher time periods such as Daily or Weekly. This time period is great for old riders like you. Sell if the chart will drop and buy at the bottom.

Because the positive info will greatly help the coin increase price. If you are afraid of the price of the coin back down, then my suggestion please sell when your profit has reached 100 percent.

You can see that the price of bitcoin in recent days is constantly increasing and adjusting continuously, according to my analysis, the bitcoin price is showing signs of convergence and this will lead to the upcoming bitcoin price will fluctuate. great. In my view, bitcoin prices will probably drop sharply and this will be the last drop before bitcoin prices can rise in the long term.

By watching and analysing the market you maybe can get some signs of possible dump but still you can't know for sure. For that you would need a cristal ball.
But if you are a serious trader you will be ready for every scenario because you would know how easily market can change. Also with experience you will get some hunch that will help you to make the decision.

Its hard to find out when it will go high and low. If you see the price of your coin is higher and you can see your profit already tgen take it before its go down again. In that way you will be safe.

In some cases, for the most important part, we can see the growing value, we will get a chance to gain profit because we do not understand yet so is the next dump. Believe it or not, we have a tendency to not really anticipate even the most recent ones that measure in the old crypto. no one will drive once is the lowlands that occur in the market

I have seen some traders who knows something by just watching the charts because the chart gives a story and you can only know this if you are trading for sometime. They are watching the price very closely especially the volume because you can see signs from that and the market cycle too but then there are times they failed to recognize it that's why they are always cautious in managing their trades and always have a stop loss and knows when to take profit.

A quick decision will determine what we will get. the process of dump as it is today makes a lot of people feel annoyed. they lose a lot of potential assets because they can not wait to hold the coins they have. This is a condition where we must be able to maintain our emotional state, for me this is a very hard thing and I admit that I have lost a lot of money in this condition. This is a sad thing and I think I can do a lot better in making a decision.

Well the price chart of market can tell us enough about bitcoin pumping and dumping but I think it is not that easy to tell about the perfect time of dumping as dump can be happen any time, so I think no need to think too much about when to be the time of dump, we should spend our time making profit instead, so at the time just buy more coins and focus on your goal because without goal we will not be able to make profit as for getting success first we should set the goals and keep an eye on price, if we realize it is the peak then selling is better.

Search and learn for the technique on how to read candle sticks. This is ine way in how to know a crypto price ether go up or go down. Watch it over the youtube, more professional have channel to subscribe. Dont make fast in learning, its gradually improving do your best then take failure fo a great experience. Learn over this exp, try to nit happen again. Remember practice makes perfect
Before the market dump, you can see the trading volume is significantly reduced and there is more volume to buy, which is a sign of the market is about to dump. I think tracking the trading volume of a market or a coin is very important because it shows the trend of the market, if you catch it you can fully predict the trend of the market.

It is very difficult to predict when there is going to be a dump. These are situations in the crypto community that is difficult to deal with. It is always good to make good use of the opportunities that come with the dump by buying more at the lower price and sell later when price is high.
Yes. To predict the coin and when to pump it is very difficult. We have to read the news regularly and now there are too many news sites talking about the Crypto market. We can not know all of it, so in addition to your guess, you should use the sense to predict and invest in Crypto.

I guess it's hard to tell unless you have joined a group and which are responsible for these pumps and dumps. Anyway, it would always be a best practice to buy at low, hell yeah - always buy low, cheap, dump coins... these level would never be dumped lower (well at least).

It's always easy to talk later but just look at January, everyone went crazy at the smallest partnership announcement or meaningless promise, that's a huge indicator to sell, but I still think that we are at the beginning.

Just convert to tether Everytime same old FUD are starting to pop up since crypto media is really easy to manipulate. You will notice that trading volume of BTC is decreasing and many graph analysis are posted in twitter.  :D

to know when it will happen dump it seems you should see and subscribe with some news news that usually provide information about cryptocurrency and usually when there is bad news the price of cryptocurrency will definitely dump.

To protect your money, withdraw them when your altcoins start to get cheaper. So you will not lose your investment.
This is what you will never need to ask some one if you study enough about the technology. Besides, you do not need to know about the red market if you are learned enough to keep things in control. If you do not sell when the market is red, you will never need to worry about the dump because I would do no good to you. Keep the information circle wide.

you dont jnow when to dump because if this things is possible no one will be get lost and everybody happy. they dont know the exactly happen to the coins that you own better to go on the flow and be ready on what happen.

That's exactly we need to do ,just go with the flow and be ready for what happen  because in crypto pump and dump are part of the market so you need to be ready what will happen to the next day.

Always this signal not work but sometimes this signal show great one.

Passive investment strategies are the best for protecting your assets during volatility. If you don't sell you have nothing to worry about

Nobody can't tell you that.
I mean if everyone knew when to sell and when to buy we would all be millionaires, or we wouldn't because nobody would sell...
Now on a serious note, if you're uncomfortable with big dips than it's probably the best to have most of your assets in top10 alts and BTC and do the trading with those out of top10.

If a coin pumps really fast and non-stop then you should start to being scared and predicting it to dump afterwards.

The only way to get rid of this dump is to hold your crypto. Do not sell it even the price gets low and wait until it gets up again. Cryptos volatility cannot be determined but can be predicted. That is not an easy task to predict the dump movement specially in crypto currency. Like some of the bitcoiner user said, it's a digital money that once you mess out, it's not easy to fixed and you need to pack up and move on

I don't know if there's some sort of insider trading in crypto, because that's the only way someone will learn ahead of  time when the dumping will happen. But there are what you call pump-and-dump group. And you can look at chart 4hour or one hour chart if its green candle stick and its too high dont buy it. It is sign of pump and dump coin

Well, data on the market will always give us a clear view of the dump but the problem is that we can recognize and determine the right time or not, that's the important thing, most of the inexperienced people will not recognize or recognize very late. I made a little analysis with ethereum last night, I draw a line on the chart just want to know if it's the highest price or not. and I see that the line is at the highest price

There are three ways on analyzing the future price of the market,
Technical Analysis
Fundamental Analysis
Sentiment Analysis
Study and master one by one and I guarantee it will really help/assist you in your trades

Some trading and fx indicators are working well for coins. You check them and you can understand a dump will happen after it. Then you take your own precautions.

There is no hard and fast rule for a trader to get to know about the position of market. Whether it is low or high, this is nothing but commonsense. See the whole scenario, observe the coin’s price and determine is a storm coming right now or not. If you are talking about bitcoin, then according to what I have got after doing my studies and research is that the price of the bitcoin do not go down suddenly

It is all your experience and the knowledge regarding the things which can help you in having some fair idea of the market in the coming days and that you need to do lot of hard work for that. If it is some altcoin which future needs to be predicted, a person needs to look at the price of bitcoin. When it will start increasing, that means a pump is near for altcoins too and whenever bitcoin declines, altcoins also start decreasing

I think we don't have to know about when the dump is coming because as long as we can sell at the high price then we are fine and we can wait for the price is down so we can buy the coin again. I know that you need to keep track of the information and find out about the project you are pursuing, I am confident that you will be able to know when the time to buy and sell is reasonable

No one is certain to know before the dump of a coin. Price swings up and down at anytime so it is hardly to catch the price before it will dump. If you know the project is good with potential and good to invest you are not worried to buy at the current rate.

It seems to me that the current situation, in which the crypto-currency market is located, is very difficult to navigate. The fact is that some moments that used to be stably at the same level, now went up by 20 and 50%. And all the promising coins fell below the expected prices.

There is no prove that you will know the coins before it goes dump, i think the best way to know this is to check the news everyday the only one who realy can dump the coins price is if there is a big bad news in the way the price will surely goes down but not always.

Nobody can easily observe the market value. The price changes everytime and we cannot easily  see the next or the future price. Others will check the chart but there are some instances that the chart change as well because of the effect of the issues about btc.

I know it happens so I think the price of any coin increases and decreases sharply for two reasons, one when the project we use will face a lot of continuous bad news in market, when cause most of new users to panic which is not good of course, so it think when you see bad news and there be sure price will fall, and the other is whale who sell a lot of bitcoin to the market as replanted method to make price down and buy high amount of bitcoin again,. So it we can recognize the time of dump and pump through this.

to know the time when will happen dump in my opinion you can see from market condition and you also can see from some media cryptocurrency which give news to coin.
If the question is about finding out any solution that informs you well in time that brother be ready, the market is going to down, this can’t just happen. No one can predict future but yes there are some guesses based on better analyzing power and better technical analysis. Still, our need to observe the market and see the things clearly that what would be the best possible time.
