There are some rumours that the prices would get down again for one or two times before they reincrease to the level around before the latest year end and even higher. Can anyone here enlighten me and newbies like me, which is better to do if that really happens:
1) hold our assets and wait until the market got fully recover to start trading.
2) increase our capital to reduce the average price.
3) sell our assets with the assumptions to got deficit prives, and then rebuy again at this price.
4) others.

Any suggestion?

the fact is you can not predict the market at this point. and i seriously doubt that most altcoins can go back to their ATH any time soon. it may take them months or ever 1.5 years to get a big enough pump to go there.

it depends on what you are bagholding.
we all know bitcoin will reverse upwards and start a new rally and reach some new ridiculously high price at some point. what we don't know is that how much it will take before we get to start of that rally.
other altcoins are a lot of different ones. many of them will die by the year's end. many won't see another pump and will be on this downward spiral to their doom. some will rise, some will get pumped and so on. you have to analyze each and see if they can have the potential of rising and ask yourself if their rise is going to be bigger?

All your points are ok and you can follow them. However the sell time has already passed away and we are already down the line. Selling at this point would be like selling st the bottom rate only and thus it won’t do any good to you. Prices may start recovering from this point onward.

Second most important thing, if you have bought your current coins at higher rates than this then there’s is no point in selling them and rebuying at even lower rates, as you will be already in loss.

True. We have to make extensive research before we can predict the direction of bitcoin prices or prices for the altcoin too. I agree that predictions are really hard when it comes to the crypto currencies as they wander freely in the market and depends on the public investment funds. They could be higher at time and could lower at different times. So its better to keep an eye on the market and then make live chnages to  our trading patterns. Otherwise there is no way we can survive the whole thing.

Second one is a good way of trying to time the market, usually ending (at least with me) is that the price goes up an insane amount and then you'll lose out on all of the profits which you could make. In Crypto, like most investing, can't be timed. You shouldn't try to buy and sell daily, if you think the market is good for the longterm buy now and then see where the markets at in a few months

Don't go ahead and check the price all the time, or the crypto news, or one of those things. Just wait and let the market do its course.

If you know how to trade or have a bit of experience in trading you know you need to make a TA to know what will happen but usally i only TA pumps because that is more important but sometimes i ta dumps.

This is the best option for me is you are anticipating that the already down price will still go down based on your observation. Wow great information. When price dumping, I stop buying altcoin rather I holding them for getting more profits in future. I already holding 50 Xlr (solaris) token.

Another FUD news that can result for a dump price. We know already what to do during this time of dumping but still your emotion take over your set goal and makes you broke. For me if the price are dump again, ask yourself about your goal and don't just depend on any suggestion about what to do because at the end your decision will be the one to help you to survive.

there are many ways for us to handle this situation, the first choice is to cut lost, that should only be done when we already lost too many profit or when you already have enough profit as soon as you reached your target, the second choice is easier, you dont have to do anything, just keep holding your coins and wait until the coin start rising but that only happen if there is a pump  in the future.

It depends on the coin that you hold my point if coin like bitcoin, ethereum or ripple which is a big crypto I would advise to hold it up to get the price back up, if you have more capital I think it is better to buy at a low price, it all depends on the crypto that you hold will potentially rise or not.

As far my ability to assess the market of cryptocurrency, i can say that bitcoin is likely to be consolidated through this year one of the beitain's bank has recently commences to accept bitcoin in their system, however it depends on respective decision.      2. Crypto works well in long term hold (if you’re not TA expert never do trading because you will lose half of your money)
     3. Don’t look the coins or altcoins market price (These will only create panic so if I were you, focus on other crypto generating income)
     4. Read the other post (there are hundreds post similar to these question, find time to search first your inquiry it will save you a lot of time)

I think it is better if you don't believe in rumours too much. The prices go down,its true, yet we can't predict by how much it will decrease or increase. But if so,the three points you have mentioned was correct. These are the basic points that every investors should follow. Specially,to buy more tokens amd hold it for a long time until the price increase.

there are many options when the price is back down, you can hold the coins and buy lots of coins. it's a good choice than you sell coins at cheap prices and maybe you can get big profits

I think in the trading you are looking for is not the amount of btc but the dollar amount, while for the investment you should look for is the btc number, which hopes the future bitcoin price will rise.

I will address  your third suggestion as to what to do when price is down again.  If you sell in the expectations that price will be further decrease so that you can buy in at a dip for profit,  there is nothing wrong with that.  The problem here is how to know and be able to buy when  if it happens.

I will choose number 1 and number 2 because if we are selling our assets, we are an only loss from the total of our money and go ahead if you want to get the loss. hold and buy another amount to reduces the average price is a good way to prevent from the loss because the price will not stay in the lower price forever and the price will make a new price before it increases again.

If price down, cut or hold . But before you enter to the trade pls you must set cutloss and take profit so avoid huge loss of funds. If you have extra funds you can aberage cost and keep your eye on track always check the trebd if there’s possible reverse of trend or continuous down trend if that so set atop loss and beware again thag it may go down. Its a matter of patience is important in trading goodluck.

Bitcoin alone is a very lucrative investment. What to do if the prices go down and down again? I would suggest to keep more money to buy, buy and buy more  during the dip, as the price is going down, buy more for it is the time that giving you the opportunity to gain more later.

When the price is high you should transfer BTC to usdt, after the price drops you use usdt buy BTC => you increase the amount of BTC, after buying BTC you find an ALCOIN increase and decrease according to BTC, after Use BTC to buy that alcoin. BTC increase slowly but Alcoin will increase higher => your profit will increase higher (double interest)

I think even if the bitcoin will experience a huge dump we don't have to be afraid or panic. I believe that if the price will down that was really another chances of buying many more coin. Well as a person who had read threads up to this week go for holding or rather yet try holding for a while see whats good in the trading field or holding.

Two weeks before bitcoin price dropped a lot. I too heared lots of rumour about bitcoin. But i have a hope on bitcoin so i bought 0.5 BTC. But now almost i got double profit. Better do not believe rumours. I hope end of this year it will reach $20000. Better hold your BTC.

For me as a long time trader, I am glad that we tend to control our holdings and since it is 2018 the year might not be the problem.  For some newbies, I advice to keep it calm and learn some fluctuation patterns. I know that you are just in a slowing patterns. If someone who experience some decrease fluctuations keep it hold until the time comes that it is the best time to trade.

Bitcoin could not break past the downtrend line upwards, so indeed we are even still in a downtrend and selling any moment for now is quite risky, considering that even in any of the downtrend, bitcoin can find support at any time, bounce back, hit the upper downtrend line and then recover to the upper side and I wonder what the OP will be doing by then. What should i do if the prices down again is to buy some potential coins that could you make profit, when the prices rise it again or better to hold and wait for prices high because that was the market it works it depends with the supply and demand.

Why do you people always ask the same questions? By now you should have learned that you can't escape volatility and that there will be times when the price is up and when it's down.
Think of your own strategy but generaly when the price is low is the most convenient moment to buy more coins. And whatever you do just don't do panic selling.

I think we should be able to make decisions appropriately and quickly. I will do quick trading and will maximize the profit margin that I can get. yes although the profit I get is just a little bit I will struggle to be able to take momentum in trading. If the prices are down again then it is best to hold onto those precious coins for now because it would be useless to trade or to sell them because the price is not profitable yet. -if you decide to hold on when the price goes down I'm not sure the price will recover quickly, the worse the price may go down if it you can incur substantial losses,

-if the price tends towards a continuous decline it could be a pretty good selling option to minimize the losses you receive after the price reaches the lowest point you can buy it back and hold it until the price goes back up

It is not a big problem for me if the prices go down again, because currently I am holding the most valuable coins and tokens, and I haven't any plan to sell in the short term at least. The prices will multiple many times in long term, and this way we will make huge profit. It is a lot better than selling with the lowest rates.

actually, I am happy to see the price is down again because I can buy another bitcoin with my tether. I don't panic when the price is down and I only hope that my order buy can be filled. I have sold my BTC and ETH positions after going 25% down. Regained some by trading, and now waiting the confirmation for getting back in. Those were 80% of portfolio. Luckily I did not invested too much into DEB. That one is 59% down since the ICO. BPT 45% down since the ICO. About 30% down in total.

That's a very basic strategy if the price go down, " HOLD " especially if you don't need the money for your dialy need, because if you sell your coin chances are you lose all your money , coz you follow the crowd, and that's a very big mastake to anyone,, indeed if you can see all people have a deferent purpose why they sell their token, so make your own research and make your own decision before you do something.

if you trade day by day,you should set for you a limit to cutloss,5-10% when your coin down,if you invest for long time,you should set the price you want and you think it cheap and you can acept risky,you can hold one year

For me i have 2 ways when the prices down again, one is to hold my bitcoin and wait to rise it again and two is to buy more bitcoin because this is the right time and wait the price going up to get more profit from you bought of bitcoin.

I sold at around $6700 and I lost money. But I still cannot understand where I made a mistake. The market was bearish and it doesn't make sense to me to hold when the price is falling every day. What if bear marked lasted 2 years? Most analysts that I was watching on youtube predicted further decline at that moment and I wanted to minimize the loss. I have nothing to suggest because what you have said is right and that is the things that you should do if ever that the price decreases or if you do not want to do that t6ou can just hold for awhile and just do other things like way too different from the cryptocurrency for you to change focus and to not over think because that makes us committ bad decisions. And when the prices go to the safe zone again and go through the stable price or starting to increase then start doing cryptos again it is just you take a break for a while

When the crypto prices decrease I keep holding, and if I have good budget I take this opportunity to buy more BTC and altcoins.

If prices decline again, you need to buy more coins at low prices. If you bought coins at prices higher than now, then just wait for them to will grow again. Do not panic and make the right decisions.

If I know that the token I'm holding is of great value in the future then I'll holld it as I'm holding my dear life. But if is something that look like not going to be a great project

I would continue to hold my assets and try to take advantage of the price drop,
But if I don't have any money I would just hold it I don't think it would be a good idea to sell my assets when it is being dump ,

Nothing to do just hold your bitcoin if you have in your wallet. Selling in low price is fool decision. It needs patience and when the price grows again then you can sell your bitcoin, but don’t even think of sealing your holdings in time of deficit. The price is growing and it is the best time for investment. If the price all again doesn’t be panic and wait for good days to come.

Stay calm that is the main thing you will do at the first place and all you have mentioned id true but you cannot always xomplete that all because not all people have the same attitude. For me i do the simplest is just hold. that's it. but if i know and i'm sure that it will be a big drop i would probably sell.

You have several options. One of which is that you will sell at a certain high point and then buy back once again by the time the price is already low. Maybe if the coins you are holding have the potential to grow even after a dump like bitcoin and ethereum, then it will be a good decision to continue holding. Buying also at the low price will give another way to earn because if the price go up there will surely be profit.
 
We may not be sure if which coin but some shows big potential for growing already even if they are at lower prices so it will be good for a trader to analyze which coin before deciding to buy.

You can do points 1 and 2 points. And I think if you do point 3, you should have enough capital to buy back but are you sure if you buy back the coin price will go up?

All i have to do when there is prices down i hold my coins and never sell them because you will get loss from your capital, or much better to buy more coins that have a potential to high there prices immediately in the market.
