I have recently written an article about the possibility of Bitcoin becoming currency we will use on daily basis.  so now I want to ask the question do you think we will see if it can be used as a daily currency???  or do you think it will be more like gold a good store of value???
My own personal hope is that we will see cryptocurrencies develop into currencies we will use on a daily basis.  in my opinion, bitcoin will be a good place to start due to the mainstream knowledge about Bitcoin,  but I do not think it's the best-suited kind for daily use and I believe we have a long way to go before it is a viable alternative to Fiat currencies for the majority of people.

No, it is just used now as a store of value, and for trading to make money. It cannot be used in daily life because of confirmation speed etc. It will take time for daily currency usage.

I believe one day it will go back to being a currency as it first was. From currency>store of value>currency is the progression that I think Bitcoin deserves, although I don't know if it will happen or not. The only reason it become store of value is because of all the people who were looking to make a good buck. Once they either get shaken out, or learn about the tech it should get adopted in its proper form, again although I don't know if that will ever happen or not. One can hope though, and I will be hoping the rest of my life it becomes currency. :)

I don't know about bitcoin, but there will be some crypto currency that will become used on daily basis. Only problem is volatility which doesn't allow for that atm. But once that currency is more widespread, that won't be that much of the problem anymore.

I agree i see Bitcoin more as a store of value, rather than a currency.

Bitcoin is pretty much settled as a commodity now. I think a paradigm shift is going to be needed for it to become a daily currency. You have to also keep in mind that the current infrastructure behind bitcoin does not allow it to become a daily currency, due to scalability issues.

It has the potential to become a daily use currency in fact that's kind of the whole point of it, whether it will become one however is mostly up to luck/fate/circumstance. If it gains mainstream use and approval by majority of governments it can easily become a mainstream currency used daily(some countries already essentially use it as a a daily currency).

Yes the high volatile of bitcoin did not match for daily basis or it seems you mean that digital money replace to a paper money,
the best asset now in bitcoin is being profitability in the market when you invested here. Not by paying transactions i think this currency is not deserving for bitcoin to have payment, because of the delayed time maybe that's not enough for now to used. But who know's bitcoin was fully develop by the owner maybe we can used that in future.

I was agree if bitcoin into the daily, if only bitcoin into the daily surely our lives that mengunakan bitcoin will be easier, but it is impossible if bitcoin. Be money daily because not everyone in this world could mengunakan bitcoin, just adults who understand bitcoin children must not know what it was bitcoin, so it might very impossible if bitcoin could be the daily.

Perhaps it would be true that bitcoin is a country's everyday crypto currency but I think it's going to be a long time and i think it would not happen. it's not possible because it's so much confusing and wondering why the bitcoin will be our currency.

Given this was the original aim outlined in the bitcoin white paper written by satoshi I think its important for this to be on the agenda. Bitcoin has had serious scaling issues thats has made it flat out impossible to use as a daily currency. I think lighting network can help this. But I do believe even the lightning network is only a temporary stop gap because even the lightning network has its limitations. I think at the moment there is a struggle between bitcoin being a daily currency and bitcoin as a store of value and id say bitcoin as a store of value is winning at the moment and if this continues the chances of bitcoin becoming a daily currency reduces because who wants to spend there money on something when the next day your buying power might be double. For it to become a true means of transaction I think bitcoin needs to discover its true value which is by no means an easy process. Gold has been traded for thousands of years and still fluctuates. Only once people are convinced the days of 10/15/20% daily gains are over people will be more comfortable using it as daily currency

Bitcoin cannot be a currency for everyday use. For many users, it is a source of income and a form of capital savings. For some, bitcoin is the authorized capital for trading on the stock exchange. For other bitcoins, it is a Deposit that brings a stable income. If tomorrow bitcoin will be accepted in any store I am sure that people will keep their coins and make purchases only for Fiat.

I don't think that bitcoin is ever going to become a daily currency like fiats. The fees for the transfer is really high plus it take a lot of time to get transactions confirmed, it's highly volatile and I don't think that any country will accept it as a currency.

No, bitcoin won't become THE trading currency. It was first, that is why it is being traded the most. Bitcoin is also being used to buy altcoins and as a note, bitcoin lost a huge market share in 2017. With regulations enforced this year, bitcoin will lose dominance, probably when the U.S. and EU enforce taxes and penalize those who didn't pay, by utilizing Chain-Analysis techniques to identify transactions and IP logs from ISPs.

After all this, an altcoin will dethrone bitcoin for a while then it will be replaced by another and this cycle will continue for a while until some altcoins establish dominance.

I agree with you, another cryptocurrency can be daily currency but bitcoin is less likely to become such currency, and I think that, in its nature is not for that kind of daily currency

No that is not gonna happen i think , it is only used to buy altcoins or used to hold some value.
There will be some better coins that give incentive to spend instead of to hold.

I don't think that bitcoin will ever replace fiat currency for daily transaction medium, because there are a lot of aspects to be agreed and bitcoin itself would need an institutional backing, I mean legally to control all of it's economy aspects. And that only would against bitcoin's main purpose to be decentralized and also anonymous in every transaction.

Bitcoin can be used as a daily currency even now, but as paper money, of course you may need a long time to be able to do it, but I believe in the future we can see.

Due to it's volatility I don't see BTC being used for small purchases such at the grocery store or for coffee. However I could imagine it being used for large bulk purchases of items such at a Sam's Club/Cosco warehouse level. Where large scale businesses can absorb any drops and use the market to assist in lowering prices of their products at a competitive level.

It's good to know that you are really optimistic about the mainstream use of Cryptocurrency. But personally I don't see cryptos being used as a currency due to its decentralized nature. We live in a strictly centralized world where, if a stock price is moved more than 10% within 15 minutes, the trade of that stock gets suspended by the stock market for half an hour. We call it circuit. I don't know about any other countries, but it happens in India.

But 10% price movement is a normal thing in Cryptocurrency market within an hour. So you can imagine the difference. Bitcoin looks good as a store of value but not as a daily currency in any way. Eventually all countries will have to adopt bitcoin but that certainly doesn't mean that it will replace fiat.

it can happen that digital currency travel all around the world but i think with volatile price of it we can't use it for daily basis we can say it can happen in the future because all are possible and actually i have btc wallet with our own money wallet so it easy to use like buying after we cashout our fiat in wallet so even we can't use in actual mode of payment this digital currency daily still there's a lot of way how to use it.

I think we used it daily right now, not in the way as a mode of payment for all transactions(just like local transactions)  but we do it for trading and buying online. A lot of people doing this right now,  it looks like the used of digital currency are now on the way of bringing the entire community to adopt these 3rd world currency and leave fiat money.  Though we knew that not all of us are getting on with these due to some barriers and banning of crypto in some countries but I still believing that those people may given chances to have this in their life.

once everything has been fixed and the transfer rate get faster with a much lesser fee or free transfer fee, bitcoin will be the basic currency of everyone all over the world and our daily life will have bitcoin with us. soon once all are okay! That is why i am just holding my bitcoin.

When everything get interlinked to the digital format, automatically digital currency usage will increase. In this manner bitcoin usage might get used around, but becoming a daily usage currency is not possible. Because, the backing will be reported as the issue. Same if gets backed with some assets it might get termed as a daily usage currency.

It is possible as some people convert bitcoin on a daily basis. For some reason i see bitcoin as a digital currency in which we can trade it to our own currency. But there is a time wherein trade is fast or too slow.

Unfortunately, for now it is a big no. Why you ask? Bitcoin's high volatility rate prevents it from serving its main purpose that is to become a currency. I mean it causes the value of bitcoin to rise fluctuate crazily, Which therefore prevejts it to have a stable and unified value. well, if we think in governments perspective they wouldn`t allow a currency which has not a central and which has a limited supply as well as an open source to be used freely in their states. Just Imagine if everyone would use just one currency and the economy of countries accept it, the one who owns the majority of btc could have the power to manipulate the economy of whichever country he,she wants.

This is likely to happen when a country is legally allowed to use the bitcoin of stores and all businesses but have consequences in the side of government. You can now see the current Bitcoin rate is very high, up to $ 11000 / BTC. With a high exchange rate with erratic fluctuations, could it be a standard currency used daily? In my opinion, people nowadays view Bitcoin as an asset to hold and make a profit when the exchange rate increases but nobody wants to use it as a whole currency, the future of the currency is altcoins only.

At the current day and age I'm afraid it wouldn't be able to serve the said purpose. The high fluctuation rates in bitcoin's value brought about by the high volatility rate of bitcoin is what prevents bitcoin from becoming a currency. I think it's more a store of value, and something like litecoin is more purpose built for use as an everyday currency.

It can be as long as you are doing trade or just using it online on which some sites accepted bitcoin as mode of payment. However, in daily basis with an ordinary life I don't think bitcoin can be use as mode of exchange since it requires internet connection and some people are still don't know how to use it. It will take more time for this thing to happen, but still not sure.

Bitcoin has a chance to become a digital currency for daily use, since since yesterday a new version of Bitcoin 0.16.0 has been released which fully supports SegWit and should completely eliminate all existing shortcomings of bitcoin and this will allow bitcoin to make small household transactions with a short transaction time and small commissions fees.

if bitcoin used as a means of payment that we use on a daily basis it will make it easier for everyone to buy something. I think it takes a long time if bitcoin is made as a means of payment like real money. at this time not all stores in the world who receive bitcoin as a means of payment but in certain countries that have received bitcoin, they have received bitcoin as a legal means of payment.

Maybe before Bitcoin can even become a daily currency, it must be accepted in most countries and be trusted worldwide. Not everybody is knowledgeable about Bitcoin or even Cryptocurrencies. They must first be interested to learn about this technology before they accept it. Using Bitcoin as transactions will make payments faster and you do not have to queue in long lines and just send the payment directly.

It is not ideal for bitcoin to become a daily currency sooner because there are still some problems when it comes to fluctuating prices that's why only a few companies accept bitcoin now. Small value transaction is not that ideal as well to transact with bitcoin because of the fee. The fee may be low but still a small value transaction transaction would become expensive with added fees. At least the confirmation time should become instant or almost instant when you want to pay with it because in a scenario wherein you need to pay some groceries with bitcoin, there would be a lot of people waiting on line so you do not want to delay them by waiting for your transaction to get confirmed.

There is also the problem with accessibility because if we see the larger picture, there are still so many people who have little to no access in technology so it would be hard for them to use cryptocurrency if they don't have any idea what it is and its purpose.

If BTC continues to appreciate year over year like it has, people will want to hold onto it as an investment rather than spend it. I think people will only spend it if they have to due to survival. Plus there is a tax issue, especially in the US where all transactions are seen as a taxable event which is BS IMO.

Bitcoin was design to be like fiat but people see great potential of it and it was used more like gold. I believe in the near future bitcoin will go back to its original purpose which is to become a free currency that anyone can use and become commonly used like fiat. I think both the measure of value and the means of storage will be flawed bitcoin. The property of bitcoin electronic money is that it can only exist on the hard disk of a computer and must rely on the Internet. The problems that face the first and foremost are the Internet security issues. And bitcoin does not have much value-scale attributes at all. Bitcoin can be compared to bank credit or debit cards. Users can use it to buy things they need if they don't have cash on hand. This process is safer for everyone against lawless elements who need instant cash. In our country we use bitcoin to pay someone. It is not being use yet to buy basic commodities. Traditional monetary system is the recent style we rstablished since I can remember wherein there are different currencies like dollats, pound, peso, etc. If there ia a chance that Bitcoin will be a daily currency, it will be universally useful to all of us because it will be on one type of currency only and the transparency of the money will establised. I think that the amount of bitcoin even if it is fully exploited is not enough to operate and exchange daily for everyone. The bitcoin value will be a big deal for those who can not own it. Bitcoin I think would be a daily currency interms that people or its userscan utilize it fully into their everydaw work, job or even to buy list if and only if the whole world would integrate it into their economy. It's just depend on who's using it. If you spend most of your time trading between crypto and Fiat currency daily then, Bitcoin would probably your daily Currency as well as we're considering it as currency with real value as of that paper money in your pocket.

Using bitcoin as a daipy currency is a good idea it reduces many losses in exchanging problems but it is not suitable for today's economical situation and it takes time because we need more users of buy,so we need the people to get into this bitcoin world in future it will be very possible so i excited and wait for that changes in our world .

Well, as what I see, I pretty much think that it will be used more as a storage of wealth like gold and silver. It is mainly because it still doesn't have all the qualities to be a currency that can be used in a daily basis. There still are pretty much a lot of issues sorrounding it. But maybe a few years from now, this will change when the prices finally stabilizes. That's just a guess tho.

Wow this news nice if bitcoin is set as the money daily like like paper money we wear now is to buy, but it is impossible if bitcoin is going to be the money daily, and may not everyone would agree to such a thing, and also may not all of the shop, the or stall will receive bitcoin as a tool payment, so there is not possible if bitcoin will be currencies daily.

It will take time but hope in the future it will be more considered for every country to be used as a normal currency, just my opinion , it will take sometime but bitcoint will be used  from everyone in any country as a currency!

The bitcoin is one of the largest virtual currency market capitalization. In addition to bitcoin, there is also ethereum, ripple, bitcoin cash, cardano, NEM, litecoin, and so on.

Not to mention the required fees on every transactions which actually made bitcoin not a very advisable to use as a currency. Though it certainly is a good investment for your money.

I don’t think it will become a daily currency, to what is happening now I see bitcoin as a store of value. Yes, it is one of the source of income to everyone who used it but it takes time to make it as daily or something like paper money like in this world.

I do not think BTC is now as a daily currency, because the price is expensive and recording an average of 5K ~ 20k Unconfirmed Transactions throughout the year
I am more familiar with BTC is a digital currency luxury class and not everyone has it, in Australia you can pay the bill uptime using BTC but not all countries provide similar services although the BTC is everyone's desire but it's hard for you to make it a daily currency, if looking at the ETH I think it's appropriate for everyone almost all of them have it but regarding Unconfirmed Transactions issues, I also do not guarantee it is suitable for daily currency, only if you sit in a community that all of them use BTC then my perception may have gone wrong.

It just takes the process to be like that, but it's not easy because people who are used to paper money will try to overcome it. They do not want paper money not to be valid anymore, but this is sure to happen but the process is still long

I think it may be a bit difficult to happen, because the knowledge of digital currency is not comprehensive to the wider community, and for some people this is not something that is easily digested. so I think the use of digital currency mugkin only an alternative payment for some people.

Looking at the transaction time and tax for sending bitcoin now,it's not likely be used for daily currency.I hope with more development,it will be used as daily currency in the future.But with the big price,it will be hard to using it as method of payment for daily necessity and once again i hope there will be a solution in the future.

I think it's possible that daily bitcoin currency will be available in the country for this product and the bitcoin currency you will pay for. but will count many years before it can be implemented and legalized nationwide.

I don't think bitcoin can be a daily currency. First, bitcoin is trading slowly, and as a daily currency, it must have fast trading speed. Secondly, the transaction fee of bitcoin is very high. The amount of money we use in our daily life is very small. The service fee of bitcoin may be much higher than the cost of payment.

Yes probably in the future. Bitcoin is a great asset to the future world. As the technology develops everybody should have to care about crypto currency because paper currency take lots of investment from raw paper to printing.
If the modern technology will back itself with total security and ease. we will be a part of paperless currency in the future. But it is not a piece of cake.

Yes I think bitcoin will become a daily currency in upcoming times but I think it's not possible for these days because many people doesn't know what bitcoin is i.e. due to lack of awareness of bitcoin amongst people.

I see it as a very vague idea since it is just for a special purposes , it can't beat the traditonal one with its flexibility and capability though it has a very high value right now. Technology's are upgrading but not as paper money's function.

I am not really sure how they can. The same problems always exist. It's too slow, the fees are too high and it's not getting main stream adoption.

The main stream adoption I see as the biggest hurdle and for that to be overcome we need an easier way for people to get involved. Too many scam stories and websites have scared off the common user.

With its current fees I don't see that happening. I do believe that a better, more scalable coin will replace Bitcoin in the future and digital money will be reallity then.

In one form or another, bitcoin can become a daily currency. It is enough to look at the number of exchangers in Europe to understand how quickly this develops.

It has the potential to be daily currency. In my country, there was emphasis on doing digital transactions recently and the government even launched a number of promotional schemes to reward people using those digital mediums. However, once promotions ended people went back to using cash for transactions. Thus, if we want bitcoins to become daily currency, we just have to make it as convenient and instant as cash transaction.

I am bitcoin believer, holder and user. But I commonly use my bitcoin to pay services or buy occasionally online because there are few merchants that accept bitcoin as a payment.
On the other hand, if I see bitcoin price is low, i prefer to use fiat than bitcoin. But when the price of bitcoin is high, just like last december, I have manage to use some for the holidays.
If most of the people will hoard bitcoins, it is definitely follow the same fait of gold. But if there are so many merchant and the price is quite stable, there is no doubt it could be a daily currency.

It will depend on the fees, the current rate for fees is pretty low at this moment, to be honest, $0,20 for a single transaction is nothing. But if it goes up to $20 like it was the last year, it would be a nightmare to adopt it as a daily currency.

No, I don't think that Bitcoin can now become a currency. Think about it if your money will rise for a while and it will affect your life. If the price of Bitcoin continues to fall, it will cause many problems. People will not Bitcoin will be selected as currency

Bitcoin is very interesting tool of keeping money and making transactions but it has still some complicated technical problems that should be solved until it can be named a useable everyday currency.

They can somewhat control their own currency, they can't control bitcoin ;)

Actually that is the biggest problem. When bitcoins are promoted, there becomes two world within a country, the liker and dis-liker. Now, it really varies from country to country that which one sector have majority. But in majority of countries, the banks and governments are against these bitcoins else everyone is just praising bitcoins for their immense profit giving nature.

That's a long long way journey of Bitcoin. But I am very optimistic that it will happen one day but not too soon. Becuase there are still many countries or even organizations that are against to cryptocurrencies and they are doing what they can to stop this from happening.

In my opinion it will not happen, bitcoin as currency (at least in the near future). Actually bitcoin has potential, but its unstable value precludes that potential. If someday bitcoin make system improvements, or even revolution and evolution, bitcoin as currency can be realized.

It is already happening for those bitcoin holders. But for all people it will still take time. It takes a lot of educating people to have that state.
