What is best according to you? Bitcoin or Altcoin?

Altcoin definitely, look at coins like Zero and you can see how much better it is than Bitcoin, there's also a lot of active development, which bitcoin lacks.

Bitcoin dictates the market,it is for your assurance most of the altcoins are paired with bitcoin so it means whatever happens to bitcoin the altcoins surffer regardless if BTC's movements are going up or down,the only way that these altcoins will grow is when the bitcoin's price stabilized or the market has been stable,or if these altcoins has strong fundamentals.

Both options are really good. Invest in bitcoin is better for long term, but altcoins are better for shorter time. Do not choose one, try with few coins. It will be the best way to get good profit

Bitcoin is definetly the king but the king is nothing without his people so community should be aware and support ico s like kepler that in the long run will benefit bitcoin and the whole ecosystem

Altcoins are better but bitcoin is less risky, but all of them rise and decrease together  :D so in the short term, if you invest in known coins, it does not matter what is best at all.

You can earn more trading altcoins,bitcoin doesnt have good movements and it is only for those people who has big portfolios for the newbies and small people it is suggested to trade altcoins because it can give you x1000 or more if you really pick those good potential altcoins,surely these coins will give you much better than investing and holding bitcoin.

There are a lot of topics that is somehow related to this, but just to answer the question. Between the two i think the most reliable will be bitcoin, reason for that is because bitcoin was the first and not just being the first, the community supporting bitcoin is way bigger than etherium this is not in terms of trading it has something to do with how the cryptocurrency is being used. I think the bitcoin time has already passed. The most optimal way is to invest in Etherium, but better in NEO. Neo has a huge transaction speed. This is really a currency that will replace the Etherium and bitcoin in the future.

If I have to choose only one, then I would go to bitcoin ecosystem. Simply because the market is somewhat stable with a lot of investors willing to pour their money anytime and I don't agree others think of it as a bubble.

Altcoins though give you much return, however, you need to ride the waves of the pump, otherwise you can't maximize your profit, and will just get few hundred dollars when you can earn thousands or more with bitcoin market.

Depends on altcoin, not all altcoins are same this term is used for alternative coins but most altcoins are not alternative for bitcoin, they were created for different purposes. My answer is one of the altcoins  :)

What do you mean by Altcoin  :o There are already two thousands of different crypto, and most of them are bullshit. Some of them are kind of cryptomoney. some of them are utility tokens, some of them are just like a digital goods. So you should be more specific - and I personally think that both bitcoin and some good alts are needed to develop the free future!

Well,  I have to chose BTC first and second would be the Cardano coin. I prefer BTC first because it had already proved its worth when it got up to almost 20K USD last year and also,  most of the price movement in terms of up trend movement were merely dependent with BTC where mostly it usually happen.

This matter could be approached by two main sides :
1st / In term of profit; altcoins seem to be more profitable than bitcoin ( which has reached significant levels comparing to its value 5 years ago ) while altcoins are still fresh and have more potential .
2nd / In term of structure & technology : Bitcoin without any doubt gained this tournament because it's more experienced coin with a rich history of structurally data improvement

In my opinion bitcoin and altcoins are great possibilities for investing. You can hold main crypto and trade altcoins  :)

It all depends on what you expect:
- long term investment and lower risk - BTC
- short term investment and high risk - hot, cheap altcoin
- supporting some specific project - altcoin or BTC

i think both options is best, cause i have bitcoin, and altcoins also. both are profitable forme, specially bitcoin is more profitable, it increasing like superman.

In terms of investment, bitcoin should be good for long term investments since you can almost guarantee that it will still matter after how many year, some altcoins do that too. In terms of short term investment, alcoins will do you good since most altcoins are much more volatile thatn bitcoin.

Bitcoin-price is very high even it's decreased you can get some profit from this coin but it's only some because it's hard to double price maybe after few months.
Altcoin-can get a lot of profit. Why?  Because the price is very cheap and once the price increase you will earn a lot of profit because we know some of traders earn a lot of profit because they have a lot of different altcoins in their wallet.

IMO, if you have a lot of money, then you should invest in Altcoins because now it is the trend of investors cryptos in 2018. And you can consider investing more in ICO because this time there are many potential projects, such as Dehedge, a project promising to be hot in Q2 2018.

I prefer to invest in bitcoin because it is the king of cryptocurrency.  Altcoins is depending on it. Btc is more profitable to invest both in short and long term. However, because it is the king, it needs a higher amount of money than altcoins.

Without any mental reservation it is bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the trend each year but there are few altcoins that are also getting the spot light each year. But most altcoins are inconsistent, they are popular this year but next year they will be gone slowly.

I would stick with altcoins if you want to see serious growth potential. Take your time, do your research, read the whitepapers and invest sparingly. Only invest in coins that have serious utility, do not invest in gimmicks as 99% of the time you'll lose out. Also, make sure the team behind the project is strong, so many coins have big ideas and big plans, and then fail when it comes to making good on their promises.

If i choose over these two then i prefered the bitcoin. Bitcoin is vety worthy if you invest it.why? We know that the bitcoin is very expensive.also, it is used in many online shopping like amazon. While Bitcoin was the first, i don't think it'll be around forever, at least not in it's current guise.  Many Alts have improvements to transaction speed and volume, with lower (even 0) fees, so better Alts will begin to dominate over time.  That said, I think Bitcoin will still dominate for some years to come, just not into the very longterm.

Obviously, I definitely chose Bitcoin. because Bitcoin is a coin that has a good and interesting development and marketing. In addition, Bitcoin has long existed in the world of Crypto. and many amenities provided.

I think you can diversify your investment and combine the two proportions into one portfolio. The price of Bitcoin is relatively high, but its credibility is high. With long-term eyes, prices will rise. The price of altcoins is relatively low, and there is ample room for appreciation. Bitcoin always kept its dominance in total market capitalization over altcoins in past years. Everytime I hold I choose bitcoin for long term investment,although there are some altcoins can be also hold for long term. But if I want short term investment I'll go with altcoins. It is quite frequently asked question by many people. I would say that I prefer holding bitcoin as well altcoins in certain percentages. I have divided my investments in bitcoin and 5 other altcoins cause as you might know, diversifying investments is always the smartest thing to do.

I hold 30% of my investments in bitcoin and the rest 70% I have invested in altcoins. If you ask me about safe investment, I would say bitcoin but if you ask me about investment that shall bear good returns and have potential to grow, I would recommend altcoins.

If you are a long-term investor and do not worry about price, BTC is the best choice and you should forget BTC for at least 3 years but if you are short term investor the choice of good altcoin is very difficult there are 2 to 5 coins per day and you will have more competition in investing. I personally will spend 70% on the BTC and the remaining 30% on the altcoin as I am sure this market will increase again in the near future.

In my opinion the big three are BTC, ETH, and XRP.  With most ICO's only accepting ETH, I see a rise in price and development.  The other ALT coins will be traded on merit and utility.

Indeed, the technology of many altcoins nowadays is far better than the technology of bitcoin. Also most of the altcoins in the market are more scalable as compared to bitcoin. But I trust neither bitcoin nor altcoins, so I always keep my investments in both. Altcoins have small market caps and have high scope of growing in price whereas bitcoin is a safe investment for most of the people in long term. That’s true for now that the movement of altcoins depends on the movement of bitcoin, but this wont be the scenario for much long. There was a time when all exchanges were anonymous and had trading pairs just in bitcoin, but as the time has passed, exchanged have included trading pairs of cryptos like ethereum and dash.

According to my opinion, the best cryptocurrency between the two is altcoin because altcoin has many different kind of uses. Bitcoin is like the leader in the market. Bitcoin most common and more widely accepted than altcoin. But altcoin gives you different varieties of coins depending on what you need. For me that is the biggest plus for altcoin. I have both bitcoin and altcoin and I love them both. The best cryptocurrency for me is Bitcoin because it only depends on the community and investors unlike Altcoins wherein they were too dependent with Bitcoin and any other issues like FUD and corrections. Altcoins are way more profitable than Bitcoin because of its cheaper prices but not that good to hold I mean not safe. Bitcoin hodling is safer though this is just based on my own opinion or preferrences but I believe that others did the same thing. The ability of Bitcoin to get back or bounce back to it's original price or new all time high's are great and that is the reason why I like Bitcoin in terms of hodling.

I think both are good. Bitcoin is the first coin in crypto and has a low risk to hold. For altcoin I choose who has a top 10 ranking in order to risk a small loss.

I do think bith are good cause bitcoin has a great effect on altcoin value. But if you do expect big grow i would recommend altcoins which is has bigger possibilities to have big grow.
