I have a small amount of ethereum, I've noticed since january 2018, the price of the ethereum is at $1000, but now it already lost 50% from its recent price. Is this case normal for ethereum coin? Or it is the end of ethereum. (Sorry my intention was not to create FUD, I'm just curious and new to cryptoworld).

Hey, which alt coin did not do a mroe than 50% retrace? If you ask me, eth actually stood up to its groud in these FUD times. Bitcoin went from 20000USD to as low as 6100USD, most other alts did a more than 70% retrace, eth is only only with the least retrace till now. Actually holding up good tbh. However I am not an eth fan and do not own any of it.

All ERC20 tokens have also dropped dramatically and I saw one token which was sold for two dollars in the ICO, go on the exchange to be dumped for 30 cents only, so it is not only Etheruem to blame. What has happened is that many people came and left crypto and all the early adopters who were more experienced traders, sold off all their coins on the high, including Ethereum, so now all is left is the tale end of the panic sellers and some hardcore believers in blockchain technology. Well i don't see the recent decline in ethereum market value as the end ethereum because i strongly believe that that the ethereum value will bounce back from its current decline very soon for the current correction is temporary and is a normal situation in the crypto currency world "market fluctuations ".

Yeah, this is a great price to get more Ethereum :D but sure, the whole market went down over the last few months, and should soon start to go up again. Ethereum is valuable as a means of transferring value, and because most ICOs are based on it. But in the future it will become even more valuable with implementation of scaling mechanisms - Sharding, Off-chain transactions. When some of those solutions get implemented, and we see Ethereum scale well, it's value should also rise, as it will become viable for more usecases.

Well, this has been talked about for a few months. You actually bought Ethereum when it was still on a level which was already somewhat above its expected growth. You need to wait a little more before that price will return.

I dont think so, ethereum is one of the strongest coin in crypto currency, this coin has high volume of demand and make their value much stronger and it was the basis of the value of many coin specially of some ico token/coins.
Many people predicting that this coin would be shutdown even bitcoin due to contonuous dropping off its value without think what value these coins was started.

As far as I know, not only Ethereum but the whole market of cryptocurrency had the decline in the prices. I can't talk about whether good or bad it is. If ethereum.end then we would have just a handful of cryptocurrencies thanks to ether smart contract that we have so many tokens and if ether ends than these tokens will end too. The price variation you are talking about is quite sad but as the whole market is red since few weeks so its fine btc too is diminished by more than 50% from its value. When I first bought some cryptocurrency it was Ethereum I purchased for around 280$, then it skyrocketed to 1200-1300$
Even with the correction and downfall of the market, it never dropped to the price I've bought.
For example BTC that you believe in dropped around the same percent as ETH.
Despite it has some problems now.

50% dropped price is nothing in this crypto world, in this case we talk about ethereum which is number 2 coin after bitcoin. Well Ethereum is a great platform for many ICOs and most of the ICOs are based on etheruem so death of etheruem is a bit far fetched I think.It has potential to rival even bitcoins and has great future ahead IMO.Ethereum sure will rise back soon.

Nope, definitely not the end of ETH especially when you consider all the alt coins using ERC20 tokens.  Not to mention ICOs still accepting ETH and all the people holding it.  You were just unlucky because you purchased ETH at near the very peak, $1000.  You're down ~50% now but it'll bounce back, reducing your losses.

This is just the beginning of the ethereum to compete with bitcoin, if you look at the chart of eth market value you will be amaze that this eth is also a potential to become next to bitcoin because it is also accelerating its price and most of the ICOs are using this network for their smart contract.

Ethereum will never end because it is a main crypto currency to participate in ICO's and it is the top currency after bitcoin. End of ethereum means end of approx. all new ICO's and end of many altcoins before birth. Whole market is in limbo and ethereum is also a part of that market.

In September Ethereum was around 300$, in December we had a crazy run and in January Ethereum broke 1000$.
This is natural market movement. have in mind, that cryptocurrency market is extremely violent and moves like that are common.
So Ethereum has gained over 50% of its value if compare to September.
My advice is to stay calm, because selling now is losing money for sure. Ethereum is far of dead, but the market is down now. Give it some time and change will be here.

You should look at the price chart of the ETH for the year and understand that even after a 50% drop in this interval, its growth is huge. Now there is a correction associated with the general negative in the market, but when the correction ends the ETH will quickly update its highs.

Well I don’t know on what basis have you spoke that sentence “ethereum is payment method in crypto world”, because it surely isn’t there are obviously many other coins. And I am certain that we won’t see big bounce from ETH anytime soon this year because of the regulation implementing on ICO’s by countries and crypto advertisement banning by social platforms. Also there are many better platforms nowadays that are advance in technology and offer smart contracts for launching of ICO’s such as NEO, WAVES and ADA. So I don’t really see a much bright future for ethereum until they develop their technology and expand.

Price down about 50% and you think that Ethereum doomed, you need to see the initial journey of ETH before hitting $1000 ATH and you will realize that this kind of price drops is really a usual things in the market dude.
