Hello there i want to build up my portfolio in the crypto world...right now i have started with ether and bought 2 ethereums..every month i will get salary and i will keep building my portfolio and plan to hold them for atleast 2 years...right now my next targets are NEO and WAVES..because by holding them i can earn gas and can lease waves to earn more as well and also these are coins with good potential....Bitcoin is already too high..please suggest me some more coins which i should buy and just hold them or forget them for next 2-3 years

I suggest you hold some Ethereum, waves,dct,ltc,dent, and some top listed coin or token for next 2 years. And i also suggest if you hold for next two years then hold only more potential coin. Means top listed coin of the coinmarketcap.

Many currencies, it is difficult to predict what is happening, but my advice is not to put all your money in one currency, but divide the money into several currencies after studying it well , also your choice is good .

I invested in a few altcoins and hold 0 btc. I personally would suggest checking ADA (Cardano) out. It's very cheap atm and it's a great altcoin to have in ones portfolio for long term HODL.

Wow. Great you are thinking to hodl for a long time. Of course, the first choice would be Bitcoin BTC and then Ethereum. Next, LTC, NEO, XMR, BTCP, Doge, USDT, Waves, ACT can be good too. This was just a suggestion, not advice. Watch the market and hodl only well stable coins, don't risk with new coins. Good luck.

I choose ETH as the # 1 priority and BTC is the # 2. And my capital is quite small so can not hold many other coins.

your choice is very good on Ethereum, NEO and WAVES coins, all coins you write are very advantageous coin if hold it for long enough. besides you mentioned there are also very profitable coins that BCH, BTG, ETC and LTC all these coins have a very good potential to invest.

Why are you so categorical? Bitcoin will give a minimum of x2 this year. But I think that growth will be even more. I'm not trying to dissuade you from buying altcoins. I am sure that eth and neo will show no worse results, but I want every portfolio to contain bitcoins. More than that I think bitcoin needs to make the most of your investment.

Is a good idea to put some saving into crypto every month but is not that wise to do so and wait for two years. You should need a more active strategy to make decent profits.

Investing into cryptocurrency is a good idea, but it has to be done with caution and you have to be active online. It is not a must you keep for two years. You can sell when it rises, buy the dip again and keep for another time. I feel that is how it works.

For long term hold, apart from ethereum you can go for NEO, VEN, WAVES and LITECOIN. Just make sure that you really hold them for a long term. So do not panic sell or flip during any market crash.

Two years is a very long period for crypto's. I suggest you to review the state of all coins in your portfolio every few months.

Personally I don't have plans for such long period, but I find ETH, NEO, CS, PXR and PRL to be good coins for next 6-12 months. Then I will do a re-assessment.

I fully support you in choosing coins! Neo, Waves,Ethereum- this is an excellent choice. Besides this, in my list of promising coins- ETC,EOS.

Hi, most of the time, holding is challenging.  This could easily be prevented with strong research and having confidence in the coins you buy. I would suggest to buy Ripple.

I would stay away from waves, dont see waves going anywhere but down.  Eth is a much better than neo as well.

If you are looking this long, why do you think that bitcoin is already high?
You should understand one important thing first of all - crypto is very volatile, and you cant say with certainty what we will see in next half of the year.
And you want to buy alts that can become disappeared one day but you dont want to buy btc for ~9k thinking it will not be higher in 2020.
Think about it :) Maybe the point is to save your btc on this market?

I can suggest hold some privacy coins Monero,DeepOnion,DASH platforms like ETH and NEO will rise too and maybe some ADA but anyway try deside yourself.

It's quite true that Bitcoin has already increased so much in price but the potential of BTC increasing more in price is huge.Anyway, it is good that you have already bought some Ether as it is the second best after BTC. If you are able to take more risk then you should try out investing in smaller coins like cardano and Eidoo which have  a good project behind them and a bright future as well. NEO is a good choice as well but I personally dont believe the Chinese since their ban on crypto made a huge impact on the crypto market.

Why you choose WAVES? Although there are a lot of token based on WAVES platform but I don't think it's a good crypto to hold for long term. IMO I would choose NEO and ETH only, NEO is the China ETH and being supported by China government, ETH is the best altcoin and the basement of almost token on the crypto market, I think these cryptocurrencies are the best choices for long term holding.

Question is did you read any whitepapers from the coins you are interested in. I read them and that are the coins I am holding on to because I believe those projects have what it takes to be successful longterm.

There are only two coins which have the capability to dominate in next two years and both are in your list already Bitcoin and Ethereum. Other than that i would also suggest you to have a look at XRP and Eidoo as well.Both are looking good and can deliver in the future.Even you can consider some more new coins but only when you can take bigger risk.

I would say holding bitcoin can give you much more profit than other altcoins because at the moment bitcoin price is less but you already selected the best altcoins apart from this you can consider Dash, Litecoin, Monero, Ethereum Classic and Lisk. if you hold any of these altcoin that will most probably increase your protfolio value in next 2 years.

If people keep mining the coins then that could be a nice one. Most coins will die out in a few years.

I prefer the short term investment, but there are a few that I would  buy for the long term, and this is definitely NEO and the Ethereum.

Indeed. Dividing your investments in more than one coin is always beneficial and reduces the risk of losing all your money if the coin fails. I always believe that dividing total portfolio in at least 3-5 coins is always better, and help one to stay stable in market and get considerable gains from other coins even if one among them fail and crashes. I have divided my portfolio currently in atleast 6-7 coins such as TRX, XRP, NEO, ETH, IOTA, BTC and XVG.

In my opinion, you should go for Ripple. It is currently under $1 and thus there is lot of potential for growth. I will not be surprised if it crosses even $100 by the end of two years. We should also keep in mind that it is in top 5 coins and thus also a safe investment.

There are various new coins that can give you even better returns but the investment made their is risky as well. If you are fine with taking some risk, go for dent coin.

the coins which one should hold for two years are ethereum waves Eos dash litecoin these are the cryptocurrencies which will have great potential if you hold for two year.

If you are looking for long term investment, then ETH is perfect coin as I personally think it has potential to increase more than 2k$ the end of this year. Although, ETH is good, I would give my first preference to ripple XRP because its much better settled in market than other cryptos and has a real world application for financial system.

XRP surely would give atleast 10X profit if held for 2 years as it has been known to make partnerships with many big banks and financial institutions and is highly scalable and the liquidity is just awesome. NEO is also a great coin to hold for long term as it has potential, technology and hard working team.

For me the best coins for the present time the Bitcoin is the priority and the other coins like NEO and WAVES are the best for me  to hold for the next two years and the bitcoin is the ever green coin and we should now buy bitcoin because the price is rising and that is causing the market tough and bitcoin users are happy  and they have to invest in these coins.

So I would suggest that you look at CARDSTACK, which is a very good project, and this project is open source, and this project will create a decentralized software ecosystem, and I'm very optimistic about CARDSTACK.

Indeed ADA is a great coin to hold for long term and has good potential to grow in near future. ADA also operates smart contracts such as ETH, but is also much more highly advanced than ethereum, giving it more advantage. Also, it is quite undervalued and low in market cap currently. Its likely to grow by atleast 10X by the end of year 2018. ADA was created by one of the co-founders of ethereum and it has quite hard working team behind it. Therefore, I personally think that ADA has potential to overcome ETH in long term investment in terms of market cap.

You should find some low cap coins which has or will have working product in the future.Last year the best was Nano.It was i think only 1 cent and check now.Crazy ride.I am holding DENT,ELECTRA,ETHOS,VEN and DIME for long time

I think the potential in the list of coins / tokens that you hold is only VEN, the rest do not even get into the top 20 ranking coinmarketcap.

i agree with u on the broad direction. platform coins will slowly gather traction as more dapps are being developed for real-world use cases.

My side about eth are some of the way that we may ever have to encounter and been see for that this is some of the best coin that we may have for that this is may also just depend on how are you may able to handle this for.

for a period of 2 years I recommend to hold ethereum and btc only.
because it is definitely the quality of the coin for long-term investment.

I agree with the statement that if one wants to hold for long term, he/she must only hold those coins that have potential to grow in near future. But I would disagree with the statement that all the top listed coins on the market cap have potential. There are quite many coins in top list on coin market cap that don’t really have any utility and are just alive in the market because of hype among people or because they are backed by big firms and institutions.

I don’t think coins such as Ethereum classic, NANO and BCH really have any utility and survive in the long race. Though you can refer coinmarketcap for investments, you must do your own research before pouring in money in any coin.

For hold ethereum, this is a very good choice. Now it is the leader in the field of smart contracts, and also this project is actively developing

Take some coins with low capitalization and have breakthrough idea. My suggestion is Cardano, Universa, Credits. Add them to your current portfolio and you will be able to gain a lot if they release product

I think your neo, waves and ethereum choices are very good choices to hold for a few years. In addition to these altcoins,  you can maybe consider about stellar and IOTA. Good luck!

For long term i prefer coins with own blockchain, such as Ethereum, NEO, Waves, and, ofcourse bitcoin. But idea to hold coins with low capitalization is rather good too.

I also agreed with your choice of coins.  Your first move to invest in ethereum is absolutely right because it is the best altcoin in the market.  I also in favor with your next choice of altcoin but I also suggest to add litecoin in your list.  The neo, waves and litecoin are the next to ethereum that is widely acknowledge coins.  Those coins was created for different purposes but their common denominator is those are all good for both long and short time investment  like ether.

I agree with both coins for long-term investments, especially on waves, if waves have long progress and make smart contracts of course this will improve the quality and of course the value of the wave itself. but in crypto, every ordinary situation happens unexpectedly. or predictions like those of recent weeks. there is a lot of potential that you can get from the abundance of altcoin. well and this requires experience

That is a good very choice to choose Eth as a starter because I consider it to be the mini version of bitcoin. It seems like they are addressing very common security concerns for many coins and exchanges:

I would recommend the Tron project.  Lots of partnerships and an attainable roadmap that they have been sticking to for the last few months.  At the very least it would be worth holding until after the main-net launch.

All coin that you need to hold is the coin which already known by many people. Like BTC (Ofc), ETH, NEO, Ripple, and the other. It's good coin for long-term investment. But if you plan as short-term investmen you will need some new coin.

Best option is Bitcoin. Because the amount of profit you earn form holding bitcoin for two year is more than all other coins combined.

For a long term holding plan you should stick with infrastructure projects, Dapps can "disappear" rapidly but infrastructures will live on (of course you have to research them first so you wont choose garbage). My picks would be EOS, Icon, Aion, Zilliqa, Wanchain etc.

I will also choose NEO. My stakes are also Cardano and Ethereum. meanwhile, I do not see any sense to hold them for 3 years. Probably, 2 years maximum.

If you are a long term investor and hold your coins for 2-3 years then there is very good altcoins for you like Monero, Dash, Litecoin, Deeponion, Stratis. In my opinion all the above coins are good for long term holding and they can gives you huge profits on your investment because those coins are in top 50 list of www.coinmarketcap.com and they have good potential to rise.

IOTA will be the next big think,
but, i suggest you to do a deep learn before buy IOTA

If I were you I would invest in ETH more and also, for deretification I would buy BTC and VeChain.
BTC is not on the top, it will grow much more.

I think if you buy 10 coins from the list of TOP coinmarketcaps and forget for 2-3 years, your capital will increase! Because it is recognized coins by the whole world! But the less capitalization of a coin, the easier it will make x2-x10-x100 so I'm looking for such coins and investing in them a little bit.

for myself this year I invested in EOS and NEO because the prices in the market were down, I would hold it for a long period of time around 2 years.

Nothing is a sure fire bet as there are many factors that can change the value of the assets you choose one of the biggest being regulatory changes so just stick with the top two or three cryptocurrencies only for a set and forget type of portfolio and you should be right for the medium to long term

I will be sure on the coin as NEO, ripple, EOS and stellar. some coins were still low enough cost and see ATH high from some of the coins of that time then it will give a sign that this would be more for the next two years. now just be sure and can also survive on the coins.

Both coin Eos and Ripples are worth considering because they have good potential to be invested, both are well-developed coins and I think investing in both of them will give you a good profit in the future

Neo and waves are two good coins but don't leave out the top three coins in the market for an obvious reason, they are still and will be the best coins to invest because it is proven that no matter what happens the support will always be there.

Many coins that is hard to predict which of them are very profitable for the next to 2 years, my favorite coins that i am very sure that i can get more profit in the long term hold which is the bitcoin and the ethereum.

Your choice is good and Im happy for you that you are going to choose neo. 2 years maybe that coin is thousands of dollars. It's better to diversify for many coins because it means, we have a big chance to make a big profit in the next 2 years from now. Bitcoin is a must investment coin we should have especially right now, the price is getting down too deep, and we can buy a lot of amounts if we have much money. your choice are pretty good though, i used to always doing long term period investment in cryptocurrency, i now at current price i lost more than 50% of my portofolio but i still hold and do another research to get any chance to minimize my risk. Just consider about cardano and XRP, those coin are good also for long term period investment, the main thing for long term period investment is be strong to what people said about long term period investment, and make your own proper research to make decision on which coin you will to put your target. My suggestion for the next two years holding is bitcoin, ethereum, Stratis, waves and neo, and these coins are available much below there last year high. These coins have huge growth potential and give handsome returns if you buy now and hold them for the next 2 years.

Because of continued downward trend, most coins are quite cheap now, so you have got plenty of options. If you want to do it safely, then you can hold some well-known coins such as Ethereum, Neo, Cardano, Ripple, Litecoin and Monero.

In the next 2-3 years, anything can happen. It's hard to know which altcoin will bring more profit in the future. Altcoin, which I trust most for long-term investment, is Neo. Neo has dropped very rapidly since February 2018 but currently Neo is quite stable and worth investing.

Compute on how much GAS you will collect for at least two years. I don't have NEO but generating new coin with it is a good passive income. I have several coin to hold for 2 years or more. RavenCoin is my first choice because i think its like bitcoin at beginning and i think have potential in the future. Beside RVN, Waves is good coin and have potential to compete with ethereum beside EOS.

I also once had the though of accumulating more coins, because i believed in long term investment, but at a point, i realized i was wrong. It is better to hold just two or even one coin that you are sure of its potential, than to keep holding many shit coins. I am not saying that there are many coins that have good future prospects, but my main point is to be careful of what to hodl. NEO team has not been updating us with recent developments, so that has affected the price.
