I would really like to know the rationale of choosing an NEP5 token over an ERC20 or an ERC223, also it's good to see that you aren't claiming NEO as the Advisor which has been a generic issue with many ICOs on NEO platform.

In general very interesting idea to be accomplished! I think it's very important by the nowadays have the marketplace which joins both markets - digital and financial!
How do you intend to connect digital and regular markets? By what means?

Having a payments system enables merchants to trade their cryptocurrency with clients on the exchange and OTC. Clients on the exchange and OTC will pay fiat for the cryptocurrencies. For now, the merchants usually have an overhead that requires fiat. The payments system also enables us to tap into multiple systems that enable Spotcoin to have liquidity.

Which advantages can be observed immidiately:
- big team;
- project on NEO;
- ANN and description looks very transparent.

Disadvantages;
- Hard to understand after 5-10 minutes reading - but its important as this is the first impression and it either brings people to project or not. So it will require more reading about this project.
- Many team members are not well known for me personally in blockchain industry.

P.S. edition: After quick overview of whitepaper and FAQ section I would like to add - if this project brings all set goals to life - this project is definetly a hidden gem. I cant really understand the full project info. All i understand is it is like coinbase or coinpayments? The way the platform will be develop. But also its great blockchain choice. Less clogging in the blockchain.

So at first when I stumbled upon this ICO I was like: "meh, this service is already provided. not interested".

But after I started reading about them I found out that they provide a lot more: educate the public, fast fiat -> crypto transactions and the willing to bring this whole universe closer to the institutional parts of the countries. By doing this the team and the whole project really contributes a lot to the adoption of this technology.

The inauguration of the Black Sea Blockchain Institute makes me really excited. I think that more than products, new technologies, at this very moment, the people need to be educated about what blockchain does and means. A lot of platforms, apps and Dapps are already there. We just need a voice to direct the people towards this universe that is slowly, but surely emerging. This team is exactly that voice that we all needed. yeahh i aggreed, most of farming datacenters moved their farms to georgia for legal benefits and cheap electricity.

There's an abundance of hydro electric in Georgia. Electricity that's not used is waste and the cooler climate helps with mining efficiency. 4500 GPU miners (12x 1070's each) would permit Spotcoin to have approximately 0.1% of the global ETH mining capacity which would enable us to have our own pool. I must admit from a completely good idea. A combination of Over the Counter (OTC) Marketplace / 1.1 MW Mining
Facility Fiat / Cryptocurrency Exchange +  Spotpay Retail Payments is original and usefull. I have not yet seen such a thing

Angel investors, seed financing, and business incubators play a critical role in advancing blockchain throughout Georgia, many speakers argued on Wednesday at the Black Sea Blockchain Summit.

Speaking of his role in the formation of a business accelerator in the country, Nikoloz Khundzakishvili spoke of his long-term goal to transform Georgia into a startup nation. “We have resources that are everywhere,” said Khundzakishvili, CORA Director at Efes Brewery in Georgia.

“Accelerators pretty much didn’t exist in Georgia at all ten years ago,” said Andrew Thornhill, co-founder of digital currency exchange Spotcoin. “Generally speaking, incubation provides capital and mentorship, and that works,” he said.

It is why Spotcoin is using a significant portion of funds raised in its upcoming ICO to fund a new academic facility in the region. The Black Sea Blockchain Institute will teach software developers and business executives, and provide resources for start-ups and scale-ups in the region.

“Giving money without structure is losing money. It’s just throwing it away,” Thornhill said.

Khundzakishvili noted that it there is an economic shift underway, where there is more emphasis on selling technology and taking leadership in this latest industrial revolution instead of selling labor. It is a main reason why investment in business incubators is so important.

Blockchain start-ups can also solve governmental issues related to public safety and data security, said Avtandil Kasradze, the Deputy Chairman of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency. These ambitious businesses are also creating opportunities by furthering new approaches to healthcare, medicine, and the environment.

“Opportunities are here. Resources are here. Let’s open the channel to Silicon Valley,” Khundzakishvili said.

Digital currency exchange Spotcoin organized the affair, the first major blockchain conference in the country. Around 200 people attended the event, held at Tbilisi’s unique pop-up concept Fabrika.

here are a lot of competition in this field... we have switcheo, now NEONexchange.... you guys will start to operate in a year from now. Dont you think that when you start operating it will be too late to get marketshare?

Developers do different things) their tokens are dividend tokens, they will give an opportunity to buy crypto by national currency and so on, you will know more as you will read white paper

There’s a reason why most exchanges don’t do fiat. It’s hard to maintain kyc/aml requirements to stay compliant. Developers have those relationships established through OTC and now ICO. How many ICO’s accept fiat? Not many.

There’s one paragraph in the NEX white paper about fiat if I remember. Developers have some insight on the project since they are contributing to CoZ. They don’t have any reasons to believe they don’t have a function in the NEO ecosystem. At this time, there are no fiat exchanges built to focus on  the NEO community.

Let's say I wanted to buy 100,000 SPOT tokens today. My options would be 1) Private sale at $0.33 per token, with a 1 year lock-up or 2) Wait until May 1st and buy the tokens at $0.40 with no lock-up.

Why you will have only 4 pairs on exchange? And why you will dont have NEO for example, but have unknown SIBcoin?

NEO is a great selection as the platform for Spotcoin's contract and ecosystem. The reasons are :

Yes you can send BTC or ETH directly from a crypto exchange to participate in the pre-ico, however you have to have Neon or O3 wallet address to receive your spot tokens.
But I don’t recommend sent funds from an exchange. Some exchanges don’t give you a Txid and you don’t always know the sending address from the exchange wallet.

Yeah completely true on this, i think the fact that its just so easy and cheap to make an ether based token compared to NEO( less than 100$ on ether vs upwards of 18-25k on NEO) means that projects on NEO will end up having more legitimate and serious people involved, who actually want to innovate and create something rather than just raise money in an ICO

In order to participate in the airdrop you need to have your RPX balance during the registration and for the snapshot. The snapshot will be done on the day of the registration. Developers cannot tell you what to do with your token after the capture due to legal reasons.

As long as you meet the qualification criteria and you have required amount of respective tokens in your NEON wallet-  you should be able to participate in the drop without any issues. However, make sure that you provide your wallet address as soon as the drop will open. It is FCFS

I think its a little to early to say we are out of the bear phase right now, still on a knifes edge IMO, but i also think that quality projects like spot should still do well irrespective of how the general markets are  and overall NEO tokens do tend to perform better, Anyways their pre-ico whitelist opens today and i for one will be quick to register for it.

I have noticed too that Turks are getting really heavily involved in crypto currency projects now and that is a good thing. I do hope your government supports it and the technology flourishes in Turkey as in other places. I have been watching the Sportcoin project with interest now and might get involved in it. I am just doing a little more due diligence of course and research before I commit to it because of this prolonged bear market, things are a bit tough right now in general.

Client mining allows for people to contract out the maintenance and upkeep of their equipment to Spotcoin.

Mining equipment requires maintenance + overhead costs like electricity etc. Gpu’s have the greatest flexibility atm. ASICS are pure waste and cannot be repurposed.

Spotcoin reached out to all the Big 4 accounting firms (EY / PwC / KPMG / Deloitte) in order to conduct a token reconciliation of all funds raised during Pre-ICO and ICO. Ernst & Young and PwC both could not provide these services. They were interested in pursuing the business, but could not make provisions to move forward; however, SPOTCOIN are in communication with an international third party auditing firm and hope to close that contract shortly.

Nothing here is making much sense.

I hope spotcoin will not turn into scam I know something is wrong with this team because they are not answering questions from investors about distribution for the delayed and the final audit seems some discrepancy issues, the team must be honest inorder to make this project more successful. 

I guess at this point we can only wait to see if Beta will come out in about 3 weeks time and if we will be going to mainnet afterwards around the beginning of Q2. This would for me restore faith in the project.

Wrong. They released an update on Telegram June 30. Check out the pinned message on the official telegram.

I guess we will have to stay patient for at least another two months and see if we will get a first dividend payout from Spotpay during Q3. I know it has been announced and cancelled since last december but I am willing to wait untill the end of September to see if finally some real progress is being made behind the scenes.
