What do you think about yesterday’s pump? Bitcoin grew from 6750 to 8000$ in a few minutes. That’s incredible! Do you think it is a new pump and soon bitcoin will cost 20000$ again?

The pumps are fun and exciting for those who hold bitcoins, and this is well marked for the bitcoin price increase for even higher.

If this pump is true then we could possibly hit 20k$ or more by December. The exchanges have finally finished paying their taxes and they will no longer sell  huge amount of bitcoin. With this we can expect to see bitcoin goes up again. If this continues then by the end of April bitcoin will recover back to 10k$ then by May at 12k$.

There are lot of development that are happening around the globe in favor of Bitcoin so i believed this was the result of that progress but still this pump is not enough and we really don't know if this is just a temporary or really a pump up so therefore we must observe more of this activity as it might be just a temporary price increase but this is better because it will help to attract more investors to make Bitcoin more strong and stable.

Come on now. We just had an increase of $1000 and you're already looking at $20,000? lol. Be realistic and don't be too greedy. Price rises and all-time highs will take time. Also, a sudden price increase isn't automatically a sign of a bull run. Who knows? It might just even be a bear trap. No one knows.

sorry to disappoint you but you came to the wrong board. pumps only happen in altcoins (aka shitcoins) that can simply be manipulated by one person or a small pump group with some newbie idiots following them.
and because of that you can't expect $20k (194%) just because there was a 14% rise.

This pump I think the beginner to the next pump is better and bigger and it seems it's time for bitcoin to rebound back to the price of $ 20000

20k dollars again in just days will be enormous and unbelievable. I am sure a lot will sell again when that is reached.

It will be better to slowly reach that number rather than it will have more bashers for the unbelievable climb.
That $1k up should just be normal since it didnt move much the last month.

It's not a pump it's just a bounce back and it will go back again in my opinion so don't get excited guys and just be aware of this bear market. It's safer to just look how this will go because it seems super hard for bitcoin to achieve the 10k$ range.

On pump it's not like except for some altcoins. Perhaps this is a trend change, a long-term correction has ended, and the market will slowly recover. And let's hope that bitcoin will continue to grow. For indicators I only track motion up. It is quite dangerous to enter altcoins now,because the further growth of bitcoin can pull them down. But bitcoin should calm down at least for a couple of days/week - they will trample again. Therefore, use the opportunity to purchase at the lots of violas at important support levels.

This may be the beginning of a new growth, I believe it, but I did not bet money on it. But I do not believe that we can quickly grow to the level of December last year.

What do you call to the sudden change in the price of bitcoin? Is it a dump not a pump? Well, I think no matter that is a shitcoin, altcoin or bitcoin as long as it is found in market, it applies the demand and supply, it has a price, it allows the word "pump".

Nobody can still predict the future price of what bitcoin price would be. Assumptions can only be made, and whenever there is a pump, it affects the market positively and it gives investors reason to smile - by making profit on their investmet. A pump in the market is usually required, most especially when the market seem down.

of course this is a new passion again owned by bitcoin and I personally do not quite understand whether this is a pump or anything so there is an increase in price on bitcoin but whatever the reason of course this is a good news. I think the most important thing is a power that must be in bitcoin that is from each bitcoin user to continue to store bitcoin assets and not panic in any situation.

this is good, this pump becomes the new spirit that is expected. and high marks on the market will soon return. The lucky one is the one who holds a coin for this.

after a long wait from the beginning of the year until now, bitcoin has proven. the return or the price started to rise in the market. all who have been patient and waiting for the rise in bitcoin prices start smiling seeing the market go up. all who bought in the month before when prices went down and see now they would be happy.

Although I am glad that bitcoin has gone into growth, there remains a strange feeling about the rate of growth. It is perfectly clear that the growth is organized by someone specially.

What kind of money or mining power do you need to pump bitcoin? Maybe back in 2011. What the pump actualy means? Every time when the price goes up is a pump situation.

Nope. $20K is not going to happen anytime soon. Don't be too euphoric by the recent price jump, it's possible we will reach another sub$7K although it's unlikely. The most likely scenario is eternal sideways in $7.5K - $8K range.

Thats seems like a pump but if whales will get short positions now and will drop market again we will see 4 000$ or 5000$ price for bitcoin again and again.

I think the BTC is on its raise again.

I can't say too much word for yesterday's pump but only the same thing as yours. That's certainly incredible and broken the walls of doubt for unbelievers.
It's the reversal, we went from the bear market so I guess it's time for the bull to come in and it's possible to go at $20,000 again.  :)

It is very happy note for every bitcoin user or crypto-trader. We want that bitcoin price increase everytime. But i think it is not possible. wherever whole coin market depends on bitcoin so Bitcoin's growing is very important. However we returned our bitcoin pumping. so it is very happy news for us.

It's a pump but it's too soon to celebrate it's rise because anything can happen like it would go down again or it will continue rise. Just remember the term that hope for the best and expect for the worse to avoid health issue making it serious everyday.

It is possible, but don't get your hopes too high that this will happen sometime soon. The raise to 20k took a couple of months and if that was any indication we won't be getting past that until June or July. That means there is a lot of opportunity from now and then, don't focus on the pump. Focus on the opportunities that lay ahead to potentially acquire more Bitcoin.

Hmmm,  I can see that you are a newbie, did you register on the forum because of the pump?  The pump is great but it happened so fast because some whales from an institution came bought a large amount of bitcoin. We still don't know the full details of what they want to use the bitcoin for,  but we all hope it's for a good reason and not just for a pump and dump.

Lol, very funny. Most of the time, I usually do not mostly trust huge pumps like this that happened within a very short period, as that was huge and did not even give much time. It looked more like a deliberate pump anyway. You should check out the way at which a lot of people got squeezed out from shorting on bitmex as a result of that.

Nevertheless, it is a good thing to see some greens, but nothing to celebrate much yet until there is really a need to celebrate but I do not see how because of this, we should be expecting $20k, who knows anything possible in much quicker time itself. I am just reading online media, and its because news from middle east that bitcoin accepted as investment. Maybe that news just one factor rising bitcoin price but not matter what it is, its great to see bitcoin can rising again because that can affecting other altcoin price

If that news is true for sure many country will follow that decision. Cryptocurrency is a good investment for long term after all and I think the correction level is over bitcoin will continue now to pump higher again. Many good news will come this 2nd quarter of 2018 and I'm so excited to see bitcoin on $15k level again.

I don't understand the reason for the excitement. What difference will the pump be turned on or not. You can start earning bitcoins at any time. They will bring you income. Yesterday's pump was exciting, it's one of the most refreshing progress in recent months.

There are the people who are waiting for Bitcoin price to fall down and they purchase immediately according to the systematic investment plan whenever price falls. After correction, the investors are taking extra precautions while making any investment decision and hence we are noticing little pumps in the market more frequently. I think the market will go down in the next two days to prepare for the new cycle. So I sold all that I have, to buy back when prices go down to the bottom.

Chart analyses showed that bitcoins would either rise or drop significantly, after the narrowing price range. And the price did jump with $1000 in just one hour. Could be the result of positive news that big name investors like Soros and Rockefeller will enter the crypto space. Hopefully bitcoin rises to 10K soon, so we know it's not just a pump.

Sometimes I can't understand bitcoin course. New great news about permission of cryptocurrency in some countries - no pumps. Some bad news about crypto - courses falling down. And now, what happend? Did I miss a great news about bitcoin or what? Really, it's unbelievable and unpredictable. Can someone explain why there was such a pump?

Well, I think that it is somewhat a part of the efforts of the whales to put the price up again and this may really be the turning point of bitcoin's price from bearish to bullish in this year. But even so, I am not that sure about the $20k you are talking about. Because if we look at how big the prices have been last year, we will see that it will be pretty impossible to get back to that price that fast. Although I love the thought, I just can't believe right away. But maybe if I see some good movement or news, I might change my mind and invest to ride.

Whatever gave the OP that notion that the recent slight price increase is a pump beats my imagination. Remember that it is the kingfisher, Bitcoin, itself we are talking about here, and not some altcoin. Whatever that has kept price down for this long should also spring it up.

Sadly, the crypto market does not respond to wishes but to reality.

No one can really tell what direction the market will take. Coins may take another dive or meet their ATH. However, if anyone is thinking that it will reach $20, 000 soon, then I highly doubt that, that will happen. As of the moment, the increase in the price of bitcoin is not that securely stable, it is still going in a frequent ups and downs compared to its peak last year. Therefore, it may reach the target price this year, but not quite as fast as two months or so.

No, this is not a new pump. But the market is recovering and we are already waiting for $ 10,000 for the BTC.

Don't expect yet for bitcoin to reach $20000 fast. Maybe the price increase at this moment is just for now and it might go back again to $6700. But it is a good thing that the increase of price is higher than before.

Well, Pump is not serious if it happens every often day and you should be taking it seriously only if it happens on any major events, on any big fundamental news release when there is a high amount of trades is expected to take place with high volatile price movements. I would love to make some trade during the pump if it happens on any major events because on that day volatility will be high and during that day I could gain a good and high amount of profits.

Yesterday was definitely a good day for the market. I could swear that today the market would crash, at least a little, but it didn't. It only fell at a small degree and now it seems to have already recovered from that. However, I do doubt that it's going to pump up to a new all time high or anything near that any time soon. Right now, Bitcoin is making a steady growth, which is a lot better than a few random pumps every now and then. Thus, I doubt that anything similar to last year's pump is going to happen soon.

A correction upwards has been a long time coming, but I'm not getting too excited. It happened before. Price going up for a few days only to go down $1000 within a few minutes. If it can stay above $8000 while the stock market goes down or flat, maybe it will convince people to buy Bitcoin again.

I guess it is already obvious that no one can actually know anything anymore, it is bitcoin and the market has been fashioned in a way where things can just change at any point in time. Pumping it would mean that it can easily reach an ATH within a few moments and then easily deteriorate afterwards. However, that is not what is happening here. Yes definitely there is a new pump with bitcoin price for now and it is definitely a good news for the bitcoin believers. And this is the time that they will get what they want and that is to earn hige profit in bitcoin. Even the new investors and those who are feeling new with it are also having some good time with bitcoin. This is why bitcoin has brought positiveness in very individual and it make sense that new pump as of this moment is the new kick to bitcoin high market price.

I think that this is the sign for the market of bitcoin to reach new all time high this year and we are now slowly climbing the market's price of 35,000 USD, in my opinion. It's quite possible with all the good news that happened last year, I think we are experiencing a slight rebound out of the recent bear market but I think there is a strong resistance sitting at 8,000-8,500 if this push through we may expect the beginning of the bull run. I agree on that, I see that the market is now moving up and it is now slowly continue to grow almost everyday. So then i also believe that this time maybe the beginning of the new pump of the bitcoin price, same with the altcoin I think the best thing to do is to hold and wait for the price to jump and that will be the best time to sell.

For me pumping price on bitcoin in just a minute is not good for me. Because i work in a regular place thats why i cant watch the price . I only watch the price when i go home.

Nobody can tell. As far as I know, there are no positive news yet (or maybe there is, and I've missed them out) but it is quite too early to reach $20,000. Expect another dip on August because the experts say that it's the ghost month for the Chinese and they don't want to do business during that. The only piece of advise that I can give you is buy now as many bitcoins as you can.

to be honest I think it's amazing because rarely more than a thousand dollars in just a few minutes, I think this is the beginning of good news about bitcoin price recovery and I think bitcoin prices will still be able to do price increases again depending on how good news circulating so that it can trigger a rise in bitcoin prices again. I really hope the bitcoin price can go back to the price of $ 20k again and if it can exceed that price.

It might be a new pump or not will be clear in coming days but investors are waiting for great bounce back of bitcoin, as paper work regarding taxes has been done by almost all governments so next step would be pumping. Expecting 20k by the end of December.

I keep telling people that there is no way to tell where the price is going, for all we know it might just be a pump and if the price goes higher then whoever is pumping might just decide to dump. I see a lot of people saying we are going to $20000 and even though this is possible it is just too early to tell if it is true or not.

Yes that is a new pump but its not enough because its look like it just create a new base line of $8,000. I guess everybody expected to see a pump that is repeatedly without exceptions but its looks like the rising was slowed again in which sometimes i think that the market was really manipulated and controlled in conspiracy so that the real demand market value will be hidden to us. Anyway the latest pump is better than the price will fall again.

Yes, Sound is nice. with very fast growth. The pumping process can take place afterwards. Signs are maintained at the 8k price of bitcoin. I hope the value can reach 11k in April. I will continue to hold the bitcoin to wait for the breakthrough on the value of the next bitcoin.

Absolutely right today I see bitcoin price slowly pumping.bitcoin popularity,trader, mining,investor increased day by day.but actually I don't thinks when bitcoin going up $20K.but bitcoin again going up 10k cross.we want to bitcoin price will go to the moon.

Obviously it was worth seeing some move in the market and that move really generated a lot of questions anyway as to what could have happened which could have caused such a pump as huge as that. I am not expecting a whole lot though, considering how the market has been behaving in the past, but I am still very optimistic about a very strong market and bullish in the long term.

Yes, every big things are happening from very little thing. We can be sure about seeing $20k levels within this year itself. There will be no need of any big thing to happen for that but just new investors alone will be capable of making that possible in coming months. For that, this recovery could be a seed.

I think it'il go back to $ 20,000. But this will not happen in a very short period of time. The value will slowly increase.

It was certainly just one person buying up a few bitcoins here and there. Now we don't see a meaningful continuation, so unless that person decides to buy again, we are likely to continue trading sideways over and over. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if we went back to below 7k in the coming days. On the other hand, I have a feeling that the growth may be just around the corner as people have calmed down a little after the emotional roller coaster we've all been through during the first quarter of the year.

I don`t think that one person is responsible for any up or down trend of bitcoin. I read articles about some theories how one man is moving the market as he wish to, but I don`t buy it. There are to many people in the game at the moment, 1000 people can buy 0.001 btc and there is one bitcoin and what is 1000 people in the whole wide world?
People earn from bitcoin fluctuations, simply many of them are trying to buy at low and sell at high, but do you think everyone is earning? That demand and supply, is always changing thats why price is moving up or down, depending from people, do they invest more, or take profit from previous investments.

This is a very happy message for Bitcoin user or community or crypto-businessman. The people who work with Bitcoin or all those involved want Bitcoin prices to rise every time. It's not impossible. It basically depends on the market demand. We are very happy that we are returning to our Bitcoin Pumping.

I think that if Bitcoin rises faster in its price, then many users will be happy about this phenomenon. Well, in order to realize this, the market needs to raise demand, rather than offering Bitcoin.

I think this happens not just by 1 person. you know that bitcoin users may already exceed 10 million users. from there make bitcoin marketcap very big. I'm not sure 1 user alone can give a big effect even make a pump. bitcoin is not as it past when to be easy to manipulate because users are still small. but now bitcoin is so popular this pump is certainly a natural thing of a user's growth and other factors.

I think that could be considered a pump, it is a good pump since prices improved but Bitcoin is
still below $10k and I think it's still gonna be there for a while. It might have been better if it
were to be followed by another pump that would push Bitcoins beyond the $10k price range.
That would have been accounted as a very promising start for bitcoins since it's been dips after
dips almost all the time this year. Hopefully it pumps back and further, since a lot of the altcoins
we're invested in rest entirely on how bitcoins carries itself with every dip and pump it undergoes.
