It's possible for sure. But I would bet like 80/20 on rising/crash, we have seen already too much dump and right now more and more positive news are coming to move it up. History says that new pump is very close  :)

Yeah. I have a friend who won't stop telling me that the bear market isn't over yet. Let's use this bull market to rake in as much profit as possible against the next hear run

It is possible, the market may take one last dip from here, but overall market direction will be up from here, i think the remaining part of this year will become bullish so good times are now near.

Whether a false flag or not that's ok as long as the future holds the success of all who believe in crypto specially in bitcoin. So for me what matters is day and not the today's situation.

I do not know any person who can give the right answer in which direction the market will move and how the coin prices will change. Recently, I have not noticed any negative or positive news on the issues of relations to the crypto community. But during this period the crypto market has already been able to change its direction twice. And no one knows why this happened.

It would be nice to purchase. But think?????? already bulls and bears. And the entrance ticket is not the power of ordinary mortals.

Now we can see small attempts to translate the trend into a bullish and I'm sure that soon we will see a rapid growth of the crypto market  so now we need to buy coins  :)

It is indeed going to happen as we have already 4days of bull run which is commonly going to have a pullback! corrections are really necessary as the market is trying to push its limit.You should be taking profits right now so that if the corrections will happen you can buyback from the bottom as we all know that would be much bloody once again.

Personally I hope they are wrong but I do agree...now I am not basing this on anything I read or know, as this is just my opinion. However the increase was all of a sudden and nothing to back it up. Remember last bull only lasted about a month, so be ready we are already int he first week.

Nope. We have just initiated the bull market run and it is not yet started completely. You guys have started talking about the bearish trend also, now thats really bullish too. I mean come on we can do better to keep this market clean cheat you know. Lets just think this one in better way. Last week is when the bull signs started to show up. We jumped little high in the prices and now we are stabilising in the prices. This is the sign where we should consider that bull trend will start taking over the market one more time and we will see some good spikes soon. No bearish trend at all, not with the current market volume at all.

Yes it is,that is part of the market cycle,bulls, > bears > bulls > bears > ! it is a never ending cycle that you should know how to get a long so that you wont lose a lot of money when these market manipulations going to take the market down! we should know how these big players think so that we are going to be more ahead from them.

Unfortunately, we will not know for sure the market changes in the next few days. Yeah I know, I read some previous threads that the current price increase is a bull trap, rising very drastically and going back to the lowest price again. But like it or not it is something that could happen. There is no other way for now is hold a coin we have, trading if you sure you will get profit, something will happen.

But I think the opposite - 80% there will not be market pump before the fall of this year. Any positive news will not affect the mood of people, since many still hold their loss-making positions. And aren't ready to deposit new money to crypto. Well, when it comes to cryptocurrency, anything is possible, but my candid advise is that you should not rely on information or predictions like this. Most times, they are misleading. News like this, are FUDs, and they tend to cause panic. As far as i am concerned, we are just starting to see the the glimpse of bull run. If there will be any drop at all in prices it will be little.

Yes of course, why would these bears wont come to use ? after days of bulls we should see some bears, so that our market will be much more healthy as we all know these pullbacks solidify our current support levels that is why it is really necessary to have pullbacks or corrections whenever the some good bull runs has come ,because it will be unhealthy for the market if the bulls are unstoppable as what we have last december!

Yeh. i think Its possible. May be a small down trend will appear. Not a big bear. However Crypto market is very difficult to predict. If there's a down trend, I will collect more coins and tokens to my hodling portfolio.

It is just the trend of the market. As what I have known,it is usually have this pattern, bull and then bear again, then bull. You just have to go with the flow and play the game.

I think only the short term traders would worried about your concern, if you are a beliver in a project, no matter what happens in the short time  won't really affect your decision because your focus is on the big picture. The narket for me has suffered a great loss from where we were in January and I think we need to first hit those height again

When the bulls has failed yes the bearish market will come,as it is part of the market cycle! so we should be taking profits as of the moment so that we wont lose a good opportunity to secure what we have gained from the bearish trend,those people who bought from the bottom pit could have been taking profits right now making a lot of money.

I think that we need to wait for the market to start recovering and prices will also show growth accordingly. Therefore now is a very good time to buy some good coins.

Why would these bears wont come? as far i know the bears are sleeping as of the moment as the bulls are more dominant in the market which is why we shoul be taking our profits right now so that if the bearish market has come we could be buying at the bottom that way we could be making a lot of money from the bloody or bearish market.

I think that such variant of events is possible. This year will be difficult for cryptocurrencies. News positive more, but they have no effect on the growth of coins.

If it will then it is taking so long. Remember when it hits the 7k mark and it stayed there for a long time until now? This could just be the same as that. It rests for weeks then pulls up again.
But that is just a speculation of mine. I am not sure what will happen. All I can do is hold it.

my thoughts are that , option 1 , we are going down or we are going to be relatively stable for few months before we enter the bull run.

I guess by now we are all aware that everything is really possible, we never have thought that bitcoin will make a dramatic fall from $19K to $6K but it happened, so I guess if another bear market sets it, no one should be caught by surprise.

However, its looks like we already hit the bottom twice around last week of March up to the first few days of April. That's why we have noticed that the market is slowly getting up, bitcoin above $8K now and ethereum stands at $500.

It is possible, YES, but at this point I'm not seeing the bears but in seems that the bulls and the herds are slowly consolidating and just started some mini runs and now testing the barrier at $8500 for bitcoin.

The analysis shows that another bear market is on the way, and that is coming for sure by June/july, so let's just have faith and trust in cryptos future, don't believe in false alarm.

We just went through 3+ months of a bear market, the crash already happened. Right now is basically the bottom, no where to go but up from here.

Basing on the current volume, personally I don't see another bearish market. With the start of the hitting the bottoms last week i think the market will sustain what it started  and slowly we will see the "greens" again. While the possibility of bear is always there, i believe it won't gonna take long for the bulls are now preparing to launch once again.

yes, it is possible. every chaos there must be some sort of revamping, just like the chaotic price market lately, slowly the market cap will go up and the REAL bull market will start. so must always optimis and positive thinking. Every cloud has a silver lining.

My opinion is new market is not powerful as the previous market it needs to take a long time to improve in many things but hoping it will be back soon the last year crypto currencies values will come again very quickly.

There are unpredictable things happen in just a day in cryptocurrency. Your expectation might wrong with other people and our move in crypto is different from one another. Maybe, I will buy and you are going to sell. Prices are moving because a lot of FUD news spread in us. Most of the time, traders are easily attract with the hype and FOMO. That's the reason I think why we can't predict easily the crypto even we will use a TA.

You shouldn't exclude such option too, but I think the current falling of the price in the period of 3.5 months, have possibly fulfilled the, and gradual recovery of the market will begin now.
If to look at that the market repeats the cycle, last spring when pery have begun to grow altcoins that now and observes many coins to bitcoin have broken the resistance. I incline to market revival in general.

Who said that? I see no reliable reference for your assumption. Probably just some wild guess. But nothing is impossible in a market as volatile and unstable as this. As of now, majority of the coins are green but it could also drastically turn red any time soon. We all kkow what happened to the market right after the all time high last year right? But I really do hope that we see greens more than reds. Purchasing time has been too long already.

Yes it is,few hours or days from now the market will be corrected as you can see the market seems to be in bullish trend for days that is why it needs sometime to correct,these corrections are neeeded to test the support levels of bitcoin which will decide the faith of the whole market,when the support levels are solidify the market will soon go skyrocket once again.

I think that the market is ready for a bull run, we have bottommed (I think) at 6,000 USD and now everyone who thought it was the end and doomsday is less twitchy and scared. cryptocurrencies are still here and new projects are surfacing everyday, I really hope it's time to make bank :D

The market is just testing the resistances,getting ready for the big bullrun which is why it needs sometime to test both resistances and support levels,corrections are normally taking place when bitcoin's has failed to break the current resistances,which is why we should support bitcoin by buying from the support levels.

After the bulls are tired,bearish trend will come and it is completely normal but as far as i can see with my technical analysis we still have sometime with these bulls,as bitcoin's trying to push the whole market up.Current resistance of bitcoin might be broken anytime soon that is why we should be more focused in bitcoin's movements.

It is better to have corrections because it only tests the current support levels of bitcoin,which will confirm the bullruns that we have,because as of the moment these pumps are just tests,if most of the people confirmed it the market is going to skyrocket as soon as bitcoin's value has surged up once again causing all the coins to pump too.

REAL bull run I think is at the end of the quarter of every year. These pumps that we see are probably run by some pump and dump groups or by some whales.

Who knows with crypto, but it's a possibility that a bear market could come again soon.
My opinion is that the main bull run will start in June/July. at this point I feel we will head back to maybe close to 75% of the ATH.
It will depend on new investors entering the market and how regulation in governments continue.

Bear market is always a possibility to happen anytime soon but I think, this time bitcoin is now stable at $8K USD in the current market. Perhaps, most of the altcoins are affected by the chain reaction by the increase in btc and so far, I guess the bear market is far from now to happen. nope. i think its more bullish market through te Q3 and Q4 of this year. well, cryptocurrencies is taking correction at the start of the year everytime and then go bull at the end. this siclus happen almost every time.

I do not believe so. Cryptos have already gone through a severe bear correction during Q1 of 2018. They have just started rising in the last ten days so a nice multi-month bull run should occur before the next correction.

It's possible but the market sentiments right now is siding with a bull market we will see if we break bitcoin at 9500. If ever btc tanks within the following days it may just be a minor correction but I don't see it going into extremely low levels just like last month.

Indeed the bear market has not ended yet, we are still in a downward trend. Besides we already saw a big correction and even experts as professional investors are no longer talking about the bubble. Instead the terminology shifted from "are we in a bubble" to "did we hit the floor yet". Besides that, ignore what you "heared from people" and do your own research. Unless of course these people were able to predict the correction.

I'm not sure we are going to see any crash any time soon.  The market have already survive the worst dumping in the history of cryptocurrency.  Looking in retrospect the bear market early this year,  you would see a lots of manipulation.

Your guess has some truth, but I'm an optimist. I think this is a precursor to his forthcoming explosion. This is already the bottom of it. I believe it will not continue to fall. I think it will erupt again before the end of April.

Completely possible as the others have mentioned due to the nature of this market, but I seriously doubt this will happen since the entire market continues to rally without showing any proper signs of slowing down. Bitcoin also seems set to retread the $9k mark soon which will only help the market continue its rally. The good news is pouring in from all directions and investors have realized that bans by different countries(China, India, Korea etc) don't make a dent on the overall health of the market in the long term which is why they continue to buy more and more coins and tokens as time passes.

It is possible that we will say the way we see no significant growth during the week, this was not in principle expected. But the fall of coins was also not significant, the market is still trying before the next jump, which is likely to be up.

I have seen many people speculating a crash soon. Those people expected a crash when Bitcoin suddenly rose to $8k in half an hour. But nothing happend and Bitcoin rather went up maintaining a constant level. Now support level is near $8k and so far BTC has been doing quite well. Market is doing quite well. I think bull phase has already started. Market cap is recovering too and new money is entering the market. Trade volume has increased which shows increase in liquidity. These all are positive signs.

Most likely it will happen...he may fail, and then slowly but surely go up, well if certainly not right now...and then something long enough green already.

I think it will not be that fast, with the current rising volume, the bullish trend will last long and will be stable, it is very rare to find the bear market occurs 2 times in a year, unless it is fak pump and has not confirmed the bullish trend

Crypto market is highly unpredictable but the current situation is opposite to your statement.after extreme dip period now market has come out of bearish trend and pump up period is about to start.now market will go up and prices will escalate now.be positive and keep up your trading.

I am personally not predicting a bear market very so soon because the market is just slowly recovering in this second quarter. It will move to the peak before it starts retracing back which is not yet the time.

I'd assume that when you said "crash",  you meant to say a 60% decrease in the overall market cap. IMO, this is not entirely impossible but it is very unlikely. Very unlikely in a sense that no significant/major bad news are threatening crypto atm (or it might be that I'm just not aware enough in the crypto space). Either way, if a crash indeed inevitable, it can has plenty of time to recover as cryptocurrencies are here for the long run.

Everything is possible in the world of cryptocurrency. I learn to stop getting surprised when i see major ups and downs, because rates changes are mostly unpredictable.

Some may think or even conclude that bear market will be experience very soon but with what i am seeing, i do not think there will be bear market this year again. Very soon there will be bad news. In New York, the prosecutor's office appealed to the exchanges to report on the legality of their actions. Perhaps it will be bad for the market and the price will go down.

Many people in here, think that there won't be bearish market but I think it may be and nowadays bitcoin graphic is similar to bitcoin graphic in 2014

The tax season is now over, the price fell down a lot already, and now people are back to investing on bitcoins and other crypto currencies causing the price to go up. This is something we all already expected. We might see a significant rise in price for the next few days, before its starts to stabilize a bit.

No one knows for sure but people who read TA are saying we need to break the downwards trendline and if we come back down and retest it and bounce off, it will be a true bull run or alt season. People who said it's a bull trap think whales are going to cause another crash and make new investors lose faith and sell their coins for the whales to buy coins at a lower entry point so they have a larger control of the market.

Too many manipulations on the market, many major players, false news put pressure on the market, plus they have financial opportunities, I rejoice only that more and more people will learn about crypto.

I always encountered bear market since my first involvement here in cryptocurrencies but still I'm earning good moneys through strategies and to adopt this technology. I think when things become more stable, it is certain that another bullish trend will appear and we don't need to worry too much because the market this year is much better than last year and if have investment strategy for this time period we will be survivors in this market

I've been always good with those shortcomings and as I've said, those bear markets are very normal.
And in return, if ever the market shows good and green days then we should alert ourselves that we must be prepared for those days.

Most people are too quick to say that a Bull run has occurred when Bitcoin reached a price of 12k, so when it fell to 9k they said that Bearish happened again, in fact the bull run also really happened even maybe 9k was just a correction.

I don't like the term bull and bear, we just follow the trends that are on the market. bear or bull there are no indicators that explain exactly when bulls or bears come to market. all just because people say market trends are going down and up.

Whale dominate market and there are active trading group woh loves to spread fud then profit from it so dont mind about it. If whale decide to pump nobody can stop it and vice versa so all these speculation that bear or bull trend coming is useless ,chart can be easily manipulated when you are whale.

Everyone is very positive about the market situation, even though the market falls below $9k but managed to recover the price to more than $10k. But we don't know whether the market will recover are not we have to wait and see.

I've been through with bear markets many times and that didn't do me good if I'll act the same on how I reacted before when I've encountered it.

Isn't new to us for this kind of market change, only we gonna do is to keep prepared and never get fall into FOMO. It is something we need to exercise and stay calm for every market change as it always happens all the time. Think that we are in the decentralize market, volatility still costing this event and not a thing to put worries.

That depends on the how the market moves and change the scenario. But for now I think we should be more consistent and don't easily fall on bad news. If you always rely on the news emotional struggles might bring you more worst.

I don't feel that it is a bear market, Bitcoin rise and drop a lot but is still doing fine, but all the rest of my alt coins still seems to be sleeping.

They are not sleeping, check your altcoins if the volume is still good and considerable but if not you should start thinking if you should sell them for bitcoin and any other reliable altcoins.
Yeah it looks like we're not on the bear market anymore and significant decrease are just normal and correction that we should meet while we're about to go to the top.

I also do not consider that this time is bearish, because I have never experienced a bull run this year, if this bearish is based on the price in 2017 this is actually a very safe and stable price, bitcoin has recovered a little. but it hasn't returned at its best.

Dude, we’re in a sort of bear market for altcoins right now.  Bitcoin has taken off toward its ATH but it’s been at the expense of all of the altcoins that I follow (even though that’s not that many). 

I think there’s historically been kind of an inverse relationship between bitcoin and altcoins, and I’ve always figured that’s because there’s a finite amount of investor money in crypto, and a lot of times traders sell bitcoin to buy altcoins and vice versa.  I don’t know if that really holds true or not, but it’s something I’ve observed.  If indeed that relationship holds, right now would seem to be a good time to be buying alts, no?  Eventually bitcoin will pull back and traders will start dipping their toes into the altcoin market again.

As far as bitcoin goes, we’re far away from another bear market.  The only question I have is how long the bull market is going to last.  I also wonder if it’s going to hit the old ATH again and perhaps break it.  It’ll be interesting to see, that’s for sure.

but in this situation the cryptocurrency market is in the middle stage there will be no changes is happening its stable position for long time so I think there must be both the possibility of improvement and the drop is available so I expecting the improvement only

Why are you guys talking about the bear market? I don't think it will come soon, the market now is bullish but don't expect it will only go in one direction as we wish, there are pump and dump but look at the market now, it's still up compared to the lowest this year, that's bullish for me.

The market will not be the same if there is a progress, because the longer crypto exist the more the adoption will increase, the price manipulation will be reduce due to proper regulation in the market, and with that, I'm optimistic it would cause a great demand in the long run.

BTC has fix total supply, so when demand increases, it's just normal that the value will rise, and even now that we are not seeing that increase of demand yet, but we can always expect things will change with just one big news, and of course we can't discount the possibility that altcoins will also follow the growth.

Yes it will always happen but be optimistic about it.  I like this market because I can buy more altcoins at low prices and I believe it will be very valuable in the future.

They were right bear market did take over after bitcoin nailed the 20k price last year 2018 and here we are again in 2019 bitcoin is already on another bullrun but altcoins are the only one left behind,im not sure if this present bullrun will last longer or not but bitcoin is very stable at 10k for now and im looking forward to the next bitcoin halving which might have good impact on altcoin value next year 2020 so lets all keep hoping for the best

External influences that make bitcoin prices decline do occur several times but so far regarding stocks that make a big decline I see not so great. trade wars and also the statement about bad cryptocurrency still dominates the big influence of the decline in bitcoin from an external perspective

Sorry to add even more gloom and despair to the current sentiment,,, but as a normal user myself with not much holdings either in bitcoin or altcoin, my view is this. The bear market is not coming soon because it actually is not over yet.

For sure, we have climbed higher this year from where we were at the beginning. But nowhere near where we were 18 months ago. And that is looking at btc. Altcoins are still 80-90% down from ATH. That is the definition of a bear market my friends.

It's all about the bears and the bulls, doesn't seem like much gray area.  It's simple really, just pay attention to the patterns and trading become a lot easier.  Or just use a trade bot, right?  They seem to be more popular these days than before, granted the improved technology.

It's true in a way, AI is definitely revolutionizing the trading world and its providing us a lot of features to help us get better at trading, and not just the usual analytic chart.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at, AI is a better term to use.  Calling it a trade bot just seems too robotic.  So far, Smartbot Coin's AI trader seems to be doing pretty good so far on the test trades I've done.

Indeed, if you do not really know how does the pattern on trading goes by, better choose on having a trade bot as your companion to easily catch up on tradings to better use and maximize the technology we currently have right now.

I like to look on the overall yearly performance of the market than on a quarterly basis because the market is so unpredictable, even in 1 quarter, it's possible to see some significant price increase like what happen last year 2017, where the bull run starts in the last quarter of the year.

News trading is risky and the traders who love the risks use the manual trading tools for earning maximum from the volatility created by the last news. The important news is tradeable but the situation changes often which can not be traded by the trading bots. Otherwise, the trading bots become a dangerous in the crypto trading, right modifications don't help the trader to catch the right price movement from my experience. Escaping from the wrong side of the market should be executre with corrected money management and it is hard to apply these settings in the bear market while the whole market is going down. Imaging the huge percentage of loss due to the flash crash caused by the big crypto-related news can be a source of depression in the altcoin trading.

I agree, now that we have AIs, trading has become more easier and analyzing the patterns of the price of cryptos have become more suffecient for everyone.

I dont feel that we have seen a new Bulll market yet, yes we saw LTC and some other coins recover x2 to x4 but this is small compared to bull market we saw in last years. Recently read a opinion which states that before BTC hits 20k there will be no alt season, I tend to believe this , there is not enough trust in markets.

In every bull market there’s a bear following for sure but this doesn’t mean they will stay longer,it’s just that in they are both part of the market to tell that it was healthy

The market still on it's cycle and even we are observing some good movements coming from this year pump, but comparing it from 2017 last time high, it's still far from recovering  most of those coins that being pumped together with bitcoin still on it's dip, bear market though might be weakening as strong barrier from $9k-$10k for bitcoin is keeps on holding stronger, chances to see good takeover can happened before this year will end or after the halving which is expected next year.

I don't believe that there will be another bear market that is coming because in general, it looks like the market is still in bear market since only bitcoin is growing consistently. Thus far, what we are witnessing with the altcoins market is that it does not have the power to pump, when they do, they can't sustain it because they are affected by the movement of the BTC which has already own 70% of the dominant rate.

However, let us not loss our faith because there are still plenty of time, if the last time we were able to witness a big rally in the 4th quarter, I think it's still possible this year.

Sure without any doubt, if you are a good trader, you can make money on both markets. But the problem is that plenty of people are just holding crypto and I would not wonder if another bearish trend will come in Q4.

In my opinion, the halving will be priced at the market and prices will go to touch the accumulation points laid on both resistance and support levels. March will be interesting to watch but I doubt altcoins will increase if the Bitcoin halving case happens. Well, it's your opinion so you can say that but I'm sure majority will oppose on your opinion because we believe that this market will be more successful if we have altcoins in the market. I think we all believe in this,,, and even the most logical bear will understand this is logically possible. The difference with most people here is that most of them are unrealistic and think this someday will happen for them this year or soon, instead of in 5 or 10 years, which is much more likely.

Of course, there is a possibility that the bears will continue to put pressure on the price of Bitcoin. but it all depends on the positions of their opponents. I really hope that the price of Bitcoin does not fall to the level of 4000-6000 dollars.

I don't think It all depends on how long it lasts before we call it a bear market. Bitcoin touched $7000, Ethereum $160 and currently, the total market capitalization is way under $220 billion. So I think we are in bear market already and there's no long green candles foreseen to snap the market out of it soon

That's right, the market can change and in fact, we do not know what would happen in the market and we do not know if there will be a bull run or bear market. Even there is a slow movement of market cap still there is no sign of a bull market. And, right now its more on having a bear market than a bull market. The price of different cryptocurrencies is still bloody position and bitcoin still remains at the price of 8300$ to 8500$. So, I think in the end of this year we might not experience a good market or simply a bull market.
