Title: Bitcoin to be used as world currency?
Post by: rddsd7 on May 14, 2018, 12:17:42 PM
For a long time, now the political elite and the leaders of the Vatican have been looking for a world government and currency,

I do believe that bitcoin is a part of financial future and great way to become an investor, but I have doubts that it can possibly replace traditional money or become world currency.

What are the possibilities and stopovers??

I do agree that bitcoin cannot replace the fiat currency. The government will not allow any currency that they cannot control to replace their own national currency except if there is economic collapse. But if you notice countries are now making their own cryptocurrency such as Sweden, they are the first country that have launched the first ever government owned cryptocurrency. Soon other countries will follow their footsteps and eventually will  be used by people. But even though bitcoin will not replace traditional money but it will be still used worldwide.

Yes I do believe that bitcoin can become the world currency one day because it has a very high potential of becoming the world currency this is because since bitcoin has started it has gained a lot of popularity among the people all over the world this is because it is a universal form of currency which can be used all over the world. Then it is also accepted everywhere around the world without the hassles of currency exchange.

Bitcoin can be used for global transactions, where there is no state limit for bitcoin transactions, but the traditional currency will not be lost and will still be used for local transactions.

I think virtual currencies like bitcoin do not fit into a means of payment as a substitute for the traditional currency because of the fluctuating bitcoin. It is feared will disrupt economic stability in a country

The problem is not to change the world using bitcoin...this will happen for sure...
The problem is that the "smell of money" have greated monsters that have changed the blockchain world.
We live in a world where everyday I am contated by people that wants to make their coin (I am part of a team of young devs), or better a Token for ICOs.
The truth is that those money are very easy to take ... and the revolution that the first crypto creators wanted to make, is now a little bit put in a corner in the "name of money".
This is my fear, and I am sorry to say that, but it's my opinion.

Bitcoin – Mark of the beast, one world currency.
It would make sense that a cryptocurrency would be used to usher in a one world currency and the antichrist.
Logistically, you could never have the same paper fiat all over the world acting as a one world currency. It would have to be a digital currency.

Bitcoin will not be world mainstream currency. There are several reasons for that and volatility and limited number of coins are some of them.
Still Bitcoin can already be considered as world currency because it can be used anywhere in the world where people have internet connection and it's accepted by many nations all around the world, it has no boundaries, it doesn't fall under regulation of only one country. I think this is enough to be considered as world currency.

bitcoin will make a simple financial transaction and will eventually become a more stable currency even bitcoin can be used to pay tuition and bills as well as other transactions even if bitcoin has been legalized as a legal currency in some major countries like Japan.

Cryptocurrency will rule in the future but I think fiat money will still be therr because it is still more conveniet compare to cryptocurrency. Bitcoin can be used as a world currency through online but it will take more time.

for now bitcoin still can not replace the fiat currency, because it is still in review by some countries. whether bitcoin can replace fiat currency? yes can, maybe not now. I think for the next few years bitcoin will be the world's digital currency, but only for non-cash transactions. so in conclusion fiat currencies can never be replaced.

World currency is a little too far in my opinion. This hasn't been achieved before as every country has it;s own currency. What I do think we'll see is new countries being founded which accept Bitcoin as their official currency. Maybe then in the future we'll see existing countries adopt Bitcoin as an official currency.

When Bitcoin gets closer to being completely mined I think we'll see Bitcoin become more accepted as a collectible rather than a currency though. As more and more coins would of been lost due to personal errors then and get deleted from the system. eventually following this pattern all coins will eventually be lost. Making the remaining ones more valuable but in the very long term dwindling it's existence.

While this is something that comes up time and time again, and I do wish it could be true, the world governments would never give up this much power to a decentralized group of people. It makes no sense at all for them to do this, think about it for a second. Governments would fight tooth and nail to ensure they're in control.

So while it would probably work, I can't see it happening.

I do not think Bitcoin will be used as the world currency because many countries do not authorize bitcoin to be used as a tool for daily buying / selling transactions, since bitcoin is a digital currency that can only be used in existing areas of the internet network.

Actually, I don't think that bitcoin would be the world currency. Even I don't want it. There are few countries think bitcoin is not helpful anymore for their country, Bitcoin is still using in crime and dark world. Bitcoin is too volatile and I think bitcoin can't be a stable coin even all digital cryptocurrency can't make them stable. That's why there is no chance for bitcoin to be the world currency. This is just my opinion.

I don't think that it will be a world currency since there is a lot of countries that do not approve or want to be affiliated with this digital currency. Some countries banned Bitcoin because of their own reasons and I think that is a good proof that it will not be a world currency. If bitcoin is going to be the world's currency , that would be really great . well there are many possibilities for it . But I don't think so that the traditional currency is going to be swapped with bitcoin . because if that needs to happen the world shouldn't have poverty it should be well developed . like every single place should be developed with out any poverty so all the people can use the bitcoin as the currency . well that's just an imagination . but bitcoin can be still used in many ways .

I know it is easy to search at google site but can you provide some evidences or links for more sites to get and it will be more reliable. Vatican is influential place. Big impact of Roman Catholic religion. People there love their church leader. One day if they will make a first step with the relation of religion it is not hard to convince the people about the one world leader and should have one world  currency.

We are bound by boundaries of rules, economy and laws which are so different from each other. A unified currency would mean uniting all, as disagreements would occur. And a unification cannot be done as we saw how countries would want to be in their own. For a global currency to succeed is quite is impossible this time.

of course I agree with this. I even feel bitcoin will only be made alternative payment. it might be very good if bitcoin becomes world currency. but, it will make the economic system worse, due to sudden changes in the system. and I'm sure, many governments do not want that.

My opinion regarding this matter a lot of people use bitcoin as payment for transaction and other expenses but to replace the FIAT or what we called traditional currency is very impossible its because government cannot control the bitcoin. Maybe in the future bitcoin use is become optional to traditional currencies.

It doesn't matter whether bitcoin is a currency or not. What matters is what it solves and what it does.

As things stand, the biggest practical use of bitcoin is as a digital gold against the devaluation of the French currency.

I think bitcoin is like gold. If the whole world uses the BTC directly in the payment transaction activities, the finance will not have inflation. By the amount of Bitcoin as well as gold is fixed, they are not like paper money, which is "printed" in the way by the government is allowed to decide, issued.

Unless if bitcoin block chain issues will be resolve in the future then there is possibilities that it can supersede the current fiat currencies. The traffic in the block chain will make the Bitcoin transaction delayed and also it make the service charge to become more expensive but if these will become resolve as like fiat that we can use it instantly then for sure it will replace the fiat currency.

Bitcoin has been originally intended to become the official currency of the internet. So in skme way, because internet is global, it was first intended to become a global currency. However, because of certain circumstances it has not been able to fulfill the purpose. Anyways, even now that bitcoin has a huge value and a large amount of users, it is still not able to become a currency. But who knows? Maybe in the next year or decade we see a light gor bitcoin becoming a global currency as it was originally intended to.

If bitcoin will become a world currency, that thing would be quite impossible since not all countries are agreeing with the existence and the way that bitcoin works in their countries. And if bitcoin will be used as a world currency, people who are working with bitcoin may not be able to gain profit from it. And think about the underdeveloped countries, they might have a hard time in accessing bitcoin so that'll be a disadvantage for their daily lives, so it is impossible for bitcoin to be a world currency.

I am hoping that this might be happen, this would be a great opportunity for all but they must learn every aspect of it and endorse so that it will be a lot easy to others how to work or use bitcoin. Bitcoin will be our currency and I am very happy if this will happen, but we have a lot to do to make it, so support and educate others about bitcoin.

Majority of the countries won't accept it and if it gains acceptance too, it will get termed similar to the banking system with assurance for the investors making it centralized. When things get turned to be centralized users won't benefit anymore, all the earnings will be made by the government and the corporates.

But if Bitcoin to be used as world currency like USD, I think it is still too early. The progress of decentralization will resist by the power of centralization(government). This is political issue.

What are the possibilities and stopovers??
I too agree with all of your statements that bitcoin is an asset a resource that people could reserve as a saving for future generations , I have read many success stories of many bitcoin millionaires clearly indicating that bitcoin has very great potential to be very great and has reduced poverty to a very great extent and moreover few countries has also legalised bitcoin for transactions purposes and I strongly believe that in future bitcoin will grow as a central currency world wide and even could replace the paper currency in future.

I do not agree with this view. Bitcoin or any coin can never be a common currency.
With crypto money we can pay in many places in the future. But it is very difficult to be a common currency.
Bitcoin's value 8k. It's impossible at these prices.
We live in a digitizing world. Crypto money is digital money in the digital world.

Bitcoin can’t currently be used reliably to pay for things, except for maybe dinner in some odd-ball locations, primarily because of its volatility. Even places like Expedia or Amazon which accept Bitcoin must, I’m quite sure, immediately convert the Bitcoin to a currency.

The fact that the political elit and the leaders of Vatican city is seeking a world government and a currency this can be the biggest stepping stone of bitcoin to be one if the candidates crypto currency and make the chance to replace the old system. The only disadvantage of bitcoin to be not the world crypto in the future is by being a decentralized platform but other than this I see no other reason.

Surely we must learn from all these developments, this is the future !, and this is the digital technology that we will soon feel, we see, and we will use.

If being recognized as a national currency then the value will be controlled by certain big countries, those who have a big reserved will dominate and will have a huge control over the value, I'm not in favor of letting this to happen since I'm always aiming for volatile market and take advantage of certain situations, as I seen that things will be much better if this coin will reserved as it is.

There's a possibility that bitcoin can be used as world currency but like what he/she said, it can't replace fiat currency. I've read an article stating that there will only be one currency in the world and that will be bitcoin.

There is a possibility but it will take decades before this happens because there are still remote areas without internet reception. You can't buy anything if you are in a remote area without reception or the one you want to buy doesn't accept bitcoins because they don't have a wallet. There are a lot of things to consider if we want crypto to replace fiat. But in the future there is a possibility, who knows what lies ahead.

It depends on what you define as a "world" currency. In some aspects, you can consider it as a universal currency since you can accept Bitcoins anywhere at anytime as long as you have an internet connection. It could possibly be a common currency among people depending on the adoption. However, when it comes to being a legal tender across all the countries, it would just downright be impossible. Most governments are against Bitcoins mostly due to their perceived threats to national security (ie. political interest, terrorism funding).

Because of the high volatile price of the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, it is quite unlikely to be used as mainstream currencies, it would be unpractical for a person to pay 10$ for a product which will become worth maybe 5$ in one or tow days, the constant change of price is what stops people from using it as everyday currency, but at the same time it is what makes bitcoin very popular and profitable to invest in.

The goverment would not make that possible since there are still lots of flaws when it comes to bitcoin. One is the anonymity that it gives. Although it is very useful to some because it enables us to escape from goverments watch along with the taxes but there are some people who use it in a wrong way and use it in illegal things instead. Second is the goverment. Changing into bitcoin as our world currency wouldn't be acceptable since the goverments of each country is independent and has their own decision and persuading them to use bitcoin would almost be impossible.
There are still more flaws that I could write but still I support bitcoin and would like to vote in that case but thinking it would happen is very impossible.

MAy be in the future when the price of bitcoins cross $ 50000 USD or $ 1 million dollar then there are chances for the whole to accept bitcoins as a one world currency. The word of bitcoins and block chain technology is spreading far and wide and new investors are getting on to the bitcoin network as people like and accept new invention and technology. Some Governments fear that the bitcoins and block chain technology could change the people's mind and as the Government does not have control over the bitcoin system the Government fear that they will loose their power when people get full freedom of their finances.

It can be, but not a standard one that would require all countries to use it as the "main" coin to be used in deals, payments, investments and the like. I think that it would be too hard for many countries who has established currencies to just give it up because it has proved its reliability, and also, it has a long history behind it that has made people put their trust on it just like the American Dollar. So, I more so foresee a time when currencies can interplay with cryptocurrencies much like the onset of the use of internet banking once the internet has been more far-reaching.

On my own perspective,  I find bitcoin to be more reliable,  however,  it is not enough to replace the actual money that we currently have.  But it would be a good alternative options for money transfer or paying bills. I'm excited as well how bitcoin would stand in the future.

Yes it can't be happen that bitcoin can possibly replace traditional money, but for me it can become a world currency. It can't be happen that bitcoin can replace traditional money because government will not allow it, due to they cannot control bitcoin. But for me it is possible that bitcoin can become a world currency, because of it's popularity and because many people use it around the world.

Bitcoin for me cannot do entirely replace the fiat system but can serve as an alternative one in a way that Bitcoin can do serve as a currency for easy worldwide transactions since it was inclined with the modern technology where we all rely. I believe that Bitcoin can possibly be used as a global currency in term of being currency since no nation owns it and everybody can do access and use it as long as they have background knowledge about it. Indeed that Bitcoin can be coined as the future of finance and the possibility for it to become a global currency can be possible or may be not that was depending on the situation applied.

Bitcoin is a revolution and it will take its own time for global acceptance. It is difficult to replace the traditional money as the internet penetration and acceptance needs to grow over a period of time. Also, people are so used to the traditional money, that its difficult to completely replace it.

Earlier people were thinking that debit/credit cards will replace paper money. Though the usage of paper money has gone down, there will always exist a parallel system for usage of both paper money and cards.

Similarly, bitcoin will exist in parallel with other forms of currency.

I agree with you mate. Even now the start of crytocurrency we could see that it is still dependent on FIAT money which is logically needed in order to exchange cryto money. If it will be implemented then it will not change the full market situation.

It doesn't mean that because they banned bitcoin then it is already an illegal currency, bitcoin is a currency and it is not illegal because it is a decentralized cryptocurrency and all of the types of currency are getting used in illegal way but it is not illegal because the government and other people can't prevent that thing to happen.

Bitcoin will not be global mainstream currency. There are numerous reasons for that and volatility and a restricted number of coins are some of them.
Still, Bitcoin can already be taken into consideration as global forex because it may be used everywhere within the global in which people have a web connection and it's time-honored by many nations everywhere in the international, it has no obstacles, it doesn't fall below the regulation of best one u. In my experience it is much easier to pay using bitcoin rather than with credit cars or debit cards. The only problem is that bitcoin have a high transaction fees and have a slow confirmation of transaction but if we can launch the lightning network bitcoin will be the perfect tool for creating payments. Considering the current literacy rate in terms of technology, it is very difficult for everyone to use Bitcoin and hence they will always going to prefer fiat currencies. Bitcoin will gain a place as a major player in the fund transfer industry but it is not going to replace fiat at least in next 50 years. On the other hand, we will see governments adopting blockchain for fiat currencies and will try to optimize the infrastructure of traditional payment systems.

But crypto currency is rumored to become the prototype of the next coming versions of fiat. They said that Russia, Japan and China are already creating their own crypto coin. Meaning every nation would create their own coins. Soon everyone could trade with other currencies using his fingertips. There are also probability of having a one world currency if this happened.

I think it's harder to enforce the country to change the money they use because it's going to be more complicated in the process because bitcoin is not fully centralized because theres a lot of issue about bitcoin which is not good that make government cant implement bitcoin as a fiat money and then the hackers and scammers spreadout if that will happen . But if each of our country implemented that our economy grow faster thru bitcoins usage thats hard thing to make as easy such as mode of payment system.

I do not think it could be used as a world currency, because its value fluctuates frequently. I hope it is still a high value currency and is a long-term investment and a great profit for everyone.

Why do you think bitcoin is fluctuating that much? Beacuse its very small market. Imagine this numbers:

30% of bitcoins are lost (wrong adress during transfers, lost keys etc)
part of them are on cold wallets - long term investors or peapole that are using it (yea it can be usefull).   In japan you can go shoping with  only bitcoin wallet.

So lets say 50% of them are making price on market - 8 000 000.

Now let see how much money you need to came to this market and put bitcoin price to 20 000$ form 8 000$ in one day

20 000 * 8 000 000 = 160 bil - there are people with this amount money - single person can set price to 20 000 $ tomorrow. (160 bil is maxiumim (he will buy all bitcoins on market). If price will skyrocked lots of outsider will jump in and i think than less then 10 bil will be spend to this jump)

Now imagine how this numbers changes when mass adoption comes in. Bitcoin slowly go to 1 mil - 5 mil $ in next 10 years. Istitutional investors jump into market. It wont move that easyli anymore . It will need amount of money that noone is possible to spend to move price 1-5% (like other currencies on forex)

the only explenation of bitcoin fluctuating that much is size of market.

Your doubts are completely true that Bitcoin cannot replace fiat currencies. I am quite sure about this. Bitcoin has not yet reached a stage that it can act as prime currency. There are so many loopholes that need to be fixed. It has to be regulated and some standards need to establish against which Bitcoin will be compared. I don’t think so government will provide such support.

On its own, bitcoin could really notnimprove and be able to become a cryptocurrency suitable for all types of transactions, be it micro or macro. However, blockchain technology has bitcoin's back, and has since been the one to support and improve bitcoin with updates that would prove beneficial later on. So yes, bitcoin could still be a world currency with the help of blockchain technology.

I predict if a decade ahead, bitcoin currencies will replace all world currencies. I am sure if bitcoin will eventually overcome all kinds of financial transaction barriers adopted globally so far. Although today, the use of bitcoin is still plagued by volatility or price that is easy to rise and fall, mainly due to banning ads on multiple platforms and refusals in some countries. The ease of transaction and availability of use also poses a major challenge to cryptocurrency or virtual currency. I estimate that after bitcoin becomes a currency that can make transactions simpler, then service providers and products begin to accept it, then eventually this cyptocurrency is likely to become more stable.

I also agree to that opinion, we all know that fiat is the our currency and I think it will still remain our future currency in the future. But I think there is a possibility that bitcoin will become our future currency as long all government allow it and recognized it as currency. Lastly, I think bitcoin will also become our future currency but it will not replace our traditional money.

As more countries begin to adopt this innovative technology, it’s clear that Bitcoin has the potential to become the new global currency not tied to a specific country or central bank.

NOT YET.

Bitcoin is not yet ready for this, I honestly think that they need alot of grounding to make, first of all its anonymity, what about anonymity? Crime rates, most of the cases are very much related tl bitcoin, in this case it would be a barrier in making it as a world currency, but I sure do hope that this may be true someday.

I do not think it could be used as a world currency, because its value fluctuates frequently. I hope it is still a high value currency and is a long-term investment and a great profit for everyone.
Well it could be used as a world currency and it also couldn't be used as currency because bitcoin is not yet implemented legally so we couldn't tell when it would gonna be used as a world currency. But I'm very positive that bitcoin would become or would be used as a world currency maybe not now but I hope it'll be soon.

I think bitcoin can't replace fiat currency, maybe after many years, there are possibilities that bitcoin will be the currency of the world if all government accept it as legal.
I believe that bitcoin has great potential to become world currency if government support it, bitcoin is already adopted by many countries because they believe it gives a huge profit.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and a digital payment system, bitcoin is open source (anyone can use it freely and for free).
The system for listing Bitcoin is by crowdsourcing, so many managers all agree on the consensus that Bitcoin is valuable.
while world trade with a majority using USD makes USD very valuable and profits to the United States, at least in the form of influence to other countries. this thing i think is already worth bitcoin used for world currency.

I do believe that bitcoin is a part of financial future and great way to become an investor, but I have doubts that it can possibly replace traditional money or become world currency.

What are the possibilities and stopovers??

Bitcoin is very useful for the crypto world. Because bitcoin is the most popular in the crypto world, and I'm sure bitcoin will be very useful in the future. Nor is it a place of payment or to be whatever it is.

In the unseen future, if a unified world government formed and and looks for its first unified currency, there is 99% chance that bitcoin will not be selected and instead the world government will issue its own currency. This currency might be centralized and it can be used as cash or a virtual money. Bitcoin is best as a virtual currency and mass adoption is needed before it can be use by people throughout the world but on becoming a world currency, it may be impossible to happen because it is not compatible with centralized nature of government

I believe that bitcoins may someday become a globally accepted crypto currency because of the various advantages offer by it to the users , the increase in user ensure this and also the big community that supports it.

But yes there are some problems that bitcoins may have to face ,
They have to need their anonymous nature transactions so that if user for illegal funding government ould easily trace ,
They need a more stable value , it cannot be considered a globally accepted crypto currency unless it has this fluctuating value .

Many have wondered if bitcoin could be the next global currency. While you may have heard the term bitcoin thrown around, it is understandable if you’re still fuzzy on the intricacies of this digital payment system. Before attempting to answer the question posed above, it is important to understand exactly what a bitcoin is.
Bitcoin is a relatively new technology; in fact, it is less than a decade old. Created back in 2007, bitcoin is the world’s first decentralized virtual form of currency. As of fall of 2016, it is now an accepted form of payment in dozens of countries around the globe. As more nations continue to adopt this groundbreaking technology, it increases the chances that bitcoin will in fact become the next global form of currency and one of the few not tied to a specific nation’s economy or a banking system.

With cryptocurrencies still in the news, tumbling 10 percent to 20 percent in recent days thanks in part to a change in calculating how the coins are valued, the debate rages on as to whether bitcoin, ethereum, ripple, bitcoin cash and litecoin are, in fact, money.

The Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffett, said on CNBC Wednesday morning that the speculation in bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies, "will have a bad ending."

Appropriately, dogecoin, a digital currency that began as a joke based on an internet meme, has risen sharply in recent days and hit a total value of $2 billion. By Wednesday it had retreated to a market value of about $1.5 billion, according to CoinMarketCap.

But rather than seeing all these digital currencies as a small part of a larger system known as blockchain, I am predisposed to view them as just speculative tokens in a cryptocurrency bubble that has inflated more quickly than any other in financial market history.

BTC still experiences obvious problems that hinder its use as a widespread global currency that is its intended purpose. First, it is still a highly speculative asset and store of value, nobody will use it for regular payments if BTC price is expected to multiply further. Second, BTC now is too volatile to be recognized as a stable currency for the long term. The BTC community should decide either BTC continues to be a speculative financial asset, or a real stable currency without "moon" expectations.

You are right, there are some aspects that make bitcoin less effective as a means of payment. Like the expensive transaction fees, and the time of the old confirmation, otherwise it is very dependent on the Internet network. So bitcoin is less effective as micro-payments, rather than being used only to buy coffee, better kept as an investment.

Bitcoin will never replace our traditional money. Yet, it has a big potential to become our world currency that may used in all market and industry. Furthermore, we all know that fiat is our first currency and I think some government will not allow to replace it. I think in the near future some government will allow cryptocurrenct to become one of their currency.

In reality, it would not be necessary to incorporate bitcoin into the global financial system to aspire to have a globally accepted currency. For practical purposes, the dollar is already the universal currency of humanity, because there is no corner of the world where it is not known and accepted.

It is obvious that the dollar would not meet the conditions of neutrality to reach unanimous acceptance as the world's legal currency, as countries traditionally opposed to the Yankee regime have rejected its use as Russia and China, and in that sense bitcoin could get many supporters because of its decentralization and neutrality.

I think bitcoin is unlikely to be the world's currency. This can be proven by now, there are still many countries that prohibit the circulation of bitcoin. They can not even accept bitcoin at all. I think the dollar will still maintain its existence as a world currency. Bitcoin is only as an alternative currency that can only be used in some countries. But, nothing is impossible in this world. So, my opinion can be wrong. But, I just reveal my analysis.
