As I'm an experienced embedded dev I would expect something more as "just another masternode blockchain", but have Reed nodes actually IN THE REEF down below underwater, tracking reef's environmental conditions. Are there plans for things like this?

How to prepare for REEFCOIN Main Net Launch:

1. If you have been beta testing on our blockchain, you need to delete the following folder: C:/users/USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/ReefCore
2. Delete your old wallet and download our new wallet from the link given on May 21st - 12:00PM EST - Please note that the new wallet will NOT be on our current GitHub. It will be released on Discord for a fair launch. Only myself and @biddy will have access to the new release wallet.
3. @Contributors with ReefSeeds (aka SeedNodes) will need to stand by to update to the new blockchain once the new wallet is released
4. First Masternode and GPU/Pool Mining: Due to the nature of Masternode blockchain, we would first need to form a ReefNode (aka Masternode) in order to enable GPU/Pool Mining. Since we are a NO PREMINE blockchain, we will need to combine our efforts to acquire 500,000 REEF to make our first ReefNode. I will coordinate which wallet to send to form our first ReefNode. As far as I know, we will be the only Masternode blockchain with no premine to start a Masternode at the start. Please keep in mind that if you contribute to the first ReefNode, you will be refunded and compensated when we get a second ReefNode up! Yes that’s correct. It’s typical as zcash takes 20% / bwk takes 10% / zencash takes 8.5%.

Masternode reward doesn’t start until after block 5000 and the reward for block 5001-50000 is 85% pow and 15% min. Keep in mind that by then there should be plenty of masternodes formed by miners. We have a very fair and transparent project. Hope that helps clarify things. Please read the FAQs on our discord.

Now that project begin to look strange...

In a nutshell, because there is no pre-mine, in order for the daemon wallet to fully sync, at least one mn has to be up. Without this, gpu mining cannot start on the pools.  The core team did not want a pre-mine (for transparency) so instead, once the main net goes live, it will be cpu mined until someone gets enough for a masternode. Ideally this would be done by the core team. Myself and many others plan to lend our initial coins to the core team to stand up this first mn asap. They will return the coins later.

Zcash takes 20% / BWK takes 10% / ZenCash 8.5% - these are all founder's fees. 10% of Block Reward will go towards Development Funds. A break down of which will include: funds to continue develop the project, legal fees, exchange listing fees, and as well as coral reef charities. All the fees and funds will be fully transparent. We will be implementing a voting system into our wallet as well so the community can vote on where donations will be going each month.

The beauty of this is, if REEFCOIN doesn't live up to its promises - the community will steer away. This is majorly different than premine and MN presale because devs/ founder can just dump their premine and money from MN presale and run away. 10% founder fee is gradual. We need constant funding to make the project thrive.

Please keep in mind that this is a life long passion project for me. I LOVE the REEFS and CRYPTO. Before this I used to have a coral farm in my basement selling as a vendor/store. This project was created on the grounds for passion, transparency, trust and decentralization. Weird design without White Paper. I am even finding interesting the proposal of the currency for mining and masternode, there are also comments that a member of the team has participated in other scam coin projects. I do not think I'm going to waste my time investing in that currency. A project in the beginning has to have a White Paper is like an architect's project. I've also been researching team members, practically none of them have project link in their personal profiles. This is very strange. I work on a "serious" project and I do not refer to it !.

How many percent pow how many percent masternodes rewards from the block reward?

Okay, I'm not saying that members have been involved in the project in the past, but we have so many coins that start today and end in a week, we're tired of promises and fakes. I know I can not seem to make a difference here in the forum for being a new member, but I have activities in other groups and with strong followers. Just the fact that its manifestation here in the forum already contributes strongly to the credibility of the currency. Often, for no apparent reason, when mining this coin, there are several "reject" in a row. This is most likely not related to errors in equipment or software for mining, but is due to errors in the implementation of the "main net" coin itself.

I've switched all my miners to this. I love the fact that we can see a real team behind the project who all seem to be committed to the cause. Good luck guys!

Much like Zcash takes 20% / BWK takes 10% / ZenCash 8.5% - these are all founder's fees. Also on a side note, a similar project call Veggiecoin (Blockchain to save animals) has a 20% founders reward! REEFCOIN's 10% of Block Reward will go towards Development Funds. A break down of which will include: funds to continue develop the project, legal fees, exchange listing fees, and as well as coral reef charities. All the fees and funds will be fully transparent. We will be implementing a voting system into our wallet as well so the community can vote on where donations will be going each month.

When you are interacting with the REEFCOIN Blockchain, wether it is mining / staking / masternode or trading on the exchange or simply sending REEFCOIN, you are generating a fund to help further development and as well as various coral reefs restoration foundations.

The beauty of this is, if REEFCOIN doesn't live up to its promises - the community will steer away. This is majorly different than premine and MN presale because devs/ founder can just dump their premine and money from MN presale and run away. 10% founder fee is gradual. That's exactly the issue. The coin was designed around solo mining until the genesis masternode was formed. Then Arcpool and Protopool exploited the code to allow pool mining to occur early, which caused the difficulty to shoot WAY up before any rewards could even be given out. 100 MH gets under 3000 REEF per day at this rate, or nothing at all if the pool breaks/the block disappears.

I also don't get why people are calling it a scam. Yeah there were some hiccups but since the last wallet update everything is pretty smooth. The team is responsive so let's wait and see what they come up with before calling it a scam.

I received my swaps without any issues. They could of walked away w/ millions of REEF coin, listed it, and dumped it already...  The question of whether or not Reef Coin was a scam or not has already been answered. In my opinion, this team is committed to the long term success of the project.  I understand folks frustrations with the swap process but the Reef team has had their issues w/ attacks on them as well w/ people trying to send in incorrect amounts, paperwork, malware, etc... that slowed the process. Their transparency is a doubled edged sword as everyone has had front row access to the difficulties of launching a new project w/ no premine, master node pre sale, or ICO. Plenty of new organizational issues in which anyone who has started a new business fully understands. However, calling them a scam is both erroneous and grossly negligent.  I recommend everyone do their own due diligence and form their own thoughts and opinions after directly participating in the Reef Community on their Discord channel. I typically do not post here, but felt the need to defend this project from any false accusations pertaining to ones individual disappointment w/ their swap process. My goal here is to give a view from a different lens from someone who has multiple successful businesses and is a volunteer and contributor with zero compensation from this project. Personally, I'm more interested in the investment of the educational awareness, charitable organizations, and global support for new technology to clean up our oceans and bleaching of the Coral Reefs. I seek a better world for my children. Some of us desire to support the transparent public ledger of this project for a greater cause over personal monetary gain.  There a lots of scams in the alt coin space, trust me, I get it 100%. But I have followed this project from the beginning of the launch and would of left a long time ago if I felt they were trying to scam innocent people. From my research, they're looking long term in providing global support for a good cause that is genuine in nature and free from any malice.

I got my swap just fine.  There's no scam here so ignore any fud or trollers saying otherwise.    i think some people may have continued mining a dead chain past the swap block after reef relaunched.  those people thought their coins they mined on a dead chain post swap block were going to get swapped so its been a pain for the admins to manually verify the coin swap balances since some people were inflating them whether they knew it or not.

its a good project and i haven't stopped mining it.  very profitable.

  I was also compelled to write here about my own experience with REEF coin, i was there on launch day, after launch, during the swap, and am presently still a member of the REEF coin community. All i want to say is that yes the launch was a bit rough due to cpl of pools trying to get ahead of everyone else and this is what messed things up at launch, however i know that after all that the team of coders, comm managers, community, and lots of new members have worked 24/7 to correct any issues which arose since the official launch, the chain was sporked and fixed, the swaps continued even past the cutoff date, i filled out my swap form, it took abt a week and a half but i did receive all my REEF coins that were owed to me, as i know all those who have submitted the proper form for the swap, and followed all the instructions have also received their coins. Now i would also like to mention that there were a few people who could not contain their frustrations, and decided instead to spread FUD to appease themselves, i know this since the threats were posted in REEF discord room, and the would come in daily under different names and try to be disruptive, malevolent, accusatory, and just plain negative, but even some of those people have turned around full 360, because in the end they received all their coins, and realized that there is something bigger here than just crypt o mining and profiteering, they found a sense of community,a community that is vibrant, responsive, involved, and very social! I understand that there are some people that are upset that the coin is not on any Exchange at the moment, this is being worked on right now, we have applied to Crypt o-Bridge, the ball is in their corner, all we can do is wait for CB to sort out their issues and get back to us about being listed, this was a vote done by the community, then based on CB response we can proceed forward. Also as of writing this Tom@REEFCOIN.io is working on releasing new android, ios mobile wallets, as well as paper wallets, spreading the word and advertising the project to different coral reef organizations! I feel good about the future of this project, as i am here for the long term, so many positive things have occurred since the launch, shared master-nodes were made available to REEF community and i am also an investor in few of those, all collateral was mined in REEF and paid with REEF, currently there are over 218 new Master-nodes running!, shared MN holders get paid every Monday, the payments were being done manually for all checks and balances, but as the demand grew the team is working on a automated payment so this will be done way quicker in the future! I am happy to be a part of a great community of people who care about the REEF coin project, and a great technical team that honestly barely sleeps and is on literally 24/7, for those of you who might have got dismayed about joining us on this beautiful trip called REEF coin, by reading other peoples false accusations, and attacks on REEF coin, i invite all of you to join us and see how things are much more different than some dissatisfied and over-frustrated FUDSTERS want you to believe, then you can make up your own mind. Tom the dev is starting to rarely appear in Discord.  The shared masternode service has gone to shit, the price is dropping, and zero news or plans for this coin.  So disappointing.
