Title: I have learnt my lessons
Post by: heritage35 on June 04, 2018, 12:14:29 PM
It is never a good thing to sell hastily.
It is never a good thing to sell below ICO price.
It is not also good to sell at exactly the ICO price.
There were times sold when i was not supposed to sell. Just because of the excitement of receiving tokens through bounty participation and perhaps through airdrop, i was eager to cash out.
Most of the times i did this, i always found out that i later ran at loss, not considering my effort and the time spent in promoting such project.
I could have also had 2x and sometimes 10x the ICO price, but impatience made me to loose the opportunity.

My last experience was on a token i received. Mentioning the name will be of no use, but for crypto enthusiasts to also learn from my mistake. Ever since then, i have learnt to hold and this has been profitable to me.
No matter how you got your token or coin, always try and be patient enough to hold until you are in profit.

That, actually is one of the saddest part of the story as a bounty hunter. If you don't know how to read technical charts or even not that active to check the platform's social media groups and website. You are doom and missing one of the greatest chance when to sell those altcoins. ICOs take time to develop so as the price to upward movement. Those mistakes will definitely make you a better trader, just learn from it and always keep those in mind.

Yes,, I agree with your opinion,,,, to try in the field of cryptocurrency we do have to have high patience. We've spent enough time,,, energy and mind to follow the bounty campaign,, so I also want to learn to be patient,,,, in order to obtain a sweet fruit in the end.

yes you have to have patience again and again. it has no sense to sell immediately. no matter if ico participates or receives through bounty rewards. wait and see the first up and down. and up again ;)

Crypto market is a market of patience but if you see the opportunity to sell, do it.

But if you are in the wrong timing and you know better on what you are doing, trust your belief and don't sell as long as you are in loss. Some will tell you to cut losses but everyone who are doing it without any remedy of investing to another coin is you'll get stuck with loss.

In the encrypted market, patience is a basic psychological quality. Of course, ICO coins usually need to be sold as soon as the market goes up. Permanent HODL is not rational.

I have just published a similar post trying to explain to people that they need to be patient and not selling the dip. I hope for more education of newcomers, it's really needed.

The problem with most of you is that you do not participate in a bounty because you believe in the future of the project and want to be a part of it without having to put in your funds, but in a way work for it; instead, a lot of you participate because you are looking for the quick short gains.

No one is stopping anyone from doing whatever they like, but thanks to you, because, people like you are the reasons why people like me have always ended up getting the projects we believe in their future, at a value lower than the ICO price (more like bonus period!). Simply put; another man's stupidity is another man's opportunity!

Good thing you have learned your lessons though! The idea is for you to see yourself as an investor, and apparently, no investor will be dumb enough to sell at loss, but would rather wait as long as they can until they get the best of their investment. I can even bet some bounty hunters do not even know the ICO price, let alone, the value they are letting the token or coin go.

At that time in need of patience and always monitor the channel of the coin maker, Coin potential will be visible when the admin updates each of their activities and we will know the exact time to release the coin. At least can sell at prices above the price of ICO.

Of course, such advice is the place to be, but it is still necessary to take into account the factor of prospects. Maybe over time, the token with the ICO will collapse and will not cost anything.

You need to remember your mistakes and also need to remember the feelings that you experienced after making a mistake. We are acting under the influence of different emotions and forget about past failures or forget how about our feelings
We must not forget, you need to write down all the events and feelings in some diary or something like this, yes it is difficult, but you need to do it

All good ICOs keep holding and wait for a good price. However, many ICOs broke the line, causing people to dare to hold it for a long time. Unless you are firm with yourself.

I think in the cryptographic market, when it comes to using knowledge, experience and analytical capabilities to find a project to invest in, the next best thing to do is to wait. Be calm, do not let psychology influence the decision when entering this market.

It is true that selling your coins at a loss or a low price will only leave you with regret. If there is no need to use the money right away, it is better to hold till the price is good before selling.

It is never a good thing to sell below ICO price.

This is a mistake too. I always sell below ICO price if:
1) The whole market rotated to downtrend. Your newly bought tokens will lose too much of its price but who knows when it recovers if it will be at all. All that time your money will be locked (for what purpose?) instead of work again and again in new ICOs or trading. You will gain much more profit for this time than lose one time.
2) If first stage of ICO project is over but price is still below ICO one. A project has been listed on 2 exchanges, all hidden features been already released by the team, all partners were announced and now its time for long-term development of mainnet/product/dapp and etc... And the price is still below? It's time to sell, for sure.

To shed away such mindset or moves on the ICO you are holding, it is important to always see yourself as an investor.

You have invested your time and the little resources you have to get those tokens, and you should not be selling them when they sure have potentials in the future and the idea is to hold them the same way investors will do until you get a solid offer in the long run.

ICO prices are meant to give early holders the chance to benefit from the increase later on, but some of you are always just in a rush to make quick bucks while jeopardizing the future benefits.

I agree, we need to be patient with our tokens. Don't sell because of panic, or bad market or because we want quick money. Very often tokens need some more time to grow up. We just have to wait and then we can get really good profit.

Holding your coins or tokens is quite encouraging because it going to give you enough profits on the long run however most times we sell because we are seriously in need of money to solve our individual problems. So don't regret for selling because you got value for you money.

totally agree with you mate. before selling your holdings try to hold it for a moment if that coin has a good potential to pump up or not. almost all ico price token will pump up that what we called it hype. but some token that is not promising token after it pump it will dump and if the developers will do nothing there coin will just be dead. it better to learn your holding before you hodl it or you sell it.

Well this same reason why most of newbie in crypto community fails, becaus of being impatient ive been like you once Mate and its really frustrating when you saw those coins you sold now having huge value.

I use to have almost 1k litecoins before but just like you i sold it when the price grows 15$ and now imagine how big money i am having if i have some patience

Holding everything we received is not also a good idea and selling everything is not a good thing to do. However, one thing is sure we all have different strategies and one's strategy may not actually be working for another person due to differences in mindset and circumstances.

It is good to learn from our past mistakes because human as we are, mistakes are inevitable. All we need to do is to learn as far as we can and that will make use better people. Learning is part of the journey and the actual failure is the one who has refused to learn lessons when they fall or make mistakes.

I have read a very interesting article about the average pricing of the ICO's that were realised until now, and the people who waited 6 months to sell their coins after the ICO has finished have got an average profit of 150% to 430%. It is one thing to make mistake, it is another thing to realise and admit that you have made a mistake. If only we have come to admit this, then it will become a stepping stone to greater height. Virtually everyone has made one mistake or the other at some points in crypto. We all have made mistakes, but we learn everyday.

Sometimes it is a good to sell below the ICO price, particularly if the project is about to tank. Definitely don't use this rule for all projects, but it certainly does apply to high potential projects, as even if they dip below ICO price, it is usually only transient.

Mistakes of most of the newbies and dumpers as well including myself but for my case is necessary because I badly needed the money so I need to cash out some of my tokens almost 50% of it, knowing that it will gain X3 in just 1 month after the 2nd exchange launch I shoulda waited for that moment, so don't sell immediately if you know that your ICO is legit most importantly if they are good in the long-term holding.

I learned valuable lessons when investing in electronic money:
1. Make money is not difficult but not a simple thing.
2. In business must know the exact guessing time, not too hasty nor slow.
3. Must be brave, have a strategic vision of the currency they hold.

learning from experience is indeed the best. so it will know when the time is right to sell and when to start buying a good time. of course, this is just a matter of actual patient only. as a result of which many fear sometimes bounty price fall so selling very low-far below the ICO. If patient a couple of months and finally the price could be higher than ICO so imagine what a disappointment that sells at a price that is too cheap.

Those are some basic things that you should have known before investing/selling off your coins. If you went through the forums regularly, you will often see threads popping up were people states the exact mistakes that you have done. Sadly most of the people just ignores it unless they suffered. Now think of this suffering/loss as a form of spending money to learn something (in a hard way).

I really do not hate to say it, which is good for him and any other person in his position. At the same time, I still thank them so much, because they are the reason I actually get a lot of gains after buying tokens that investors bought at a higher price during ICO at a lesser price.

It is good he is learning from or has learned from his mistakes, but I am sure a lot of people still would not most of the time, and they are the set of people that always cry wolf when they see what they have held in the past doing huge in percentage in the long run. 'I used to hold that coin or token' is not an excuse.

It is great story for people who have zero patience and sell immediately when they just got their tokens or 15% profit for example.
But I had such situation when patience played the role against me. I had one coin that was $0.1 on ICO. Some coins I had from airdrop but the most I bought. And this coin went to $1. I got x10 and it was a lot of money because I bought for almost all that I had that time!
And I decided not to cash out but hold. It began to dip. I hold. It continue dipping. I hold. Now this coin is $0.03. Make your conclusion

Your analysis is very reasonable. Thank you for sharing. I think these practices are experienced by every investor who has just entered the cryptocurrency market. Because everyone fears the risks in the investment market, they are willing to choose short-term trading as the main transaction. Means, the result missed a lot of money-making opportunities!

It was a very valuable experience and should be used as a lesson for the future can be better. Crypto is basically better off trying it first in order to be able to figure out what to do. with a try straight then it will know the steps to take each experience constraints.

Truly correction suggestions from you mate need to learn and focus  monitor the altcoins they uave becayse the opportunity are in the gand of holder's when is the right time to sell their holding coin came from the bounty rewards or when the coins came from icos has put in n to he exchange.

Everything is in the hands of the holder/traders but if you know better what you do is something of a strategy and not just goes with luck.

It doesn't matter if it came from bounty rewards or it came from your investment in ICOs but the thing is that you should know what's happening with the coin that you invested.

totally agree with you. On this market, care and patience are very important. But do not forget about greed. Sometimes we wait for the price to go higher but price dump and we miss the opportunity. It is very important make some  deadlines or %profits for closing trades.

Many tokens that are listed on the exchange are traded well below the ICO price. And this is a stable market trend. Unfortunately, only a few of all ICOs give a serious profit.

All right. There is no need to pursue superprofits and at the same time one should not rush to sell ahead of time. Or keep coins long term if you believe in this project.

This is not always the case, ok some coins raise their value weeks or months after the ICO but there are some coins who pumped when it hit the market but after a month they stuck to a price on the price that was lower in their ICO there are a lot of coins like that, there is no one rule in selling and holding.

I think you need to have lost and profit management. patience is necessary, but if we already get a profit, why not we money some of our initial investment or 70 percent of the total funds in the coin. For easy, make a target when we will attract or withdraw the money. I just realized this when I also experienced similar things and things where I rush to sell coins. I will cut the profit when my token ICO was touch 2x-3x.

Thanks for the tips, this will be very helpful to newbies like me :D I think these same tips apply to most investments in general as well.
It is really helpful and one of the things not just newbies but most bounty hunters should be taking note of. I do not know how a lot of people think, but as a bounty hunter even if you do not see yourself as an investor, you are robbing yourself if you are selling at lower than ICO price, and you are also robbing yourself of the future if you are selling at ICO price once it hits the market. Always give the project time to do great as that is the time any investor will always look forward to.

I also used to sell bounty tokens early. I have since learned that generally it is much better to hold longer-term - and this is certainly true if you only participate in bounties for coins that you believe in, as these are likely to be good long-term bets rather than pump and dump stuff.

Completely right, if someone lose then is that because he say tht he is a master in his work field. If you have a lot of experience then is it a benefit for you, but it is necessary to increase your experience. In the world of crypto you need to improve your knowledge, because there happen a lot of new things.

after the ICO have a product that can be used by many, surely the token price will rise far from ICO because many buyers.

In fact, Hold is not always a good idea. You yourself know that there is no eternal growth. As soon as the correction of the course began, I sometimes sell to buy below if it's a good one. Maybe say goodbye if the project had a big advertising noise, but I didn't really like it initially.
Buy on take-off cost of projects that are very promotional is a great stupidity. Empty expectations exaggerate the real price many times and the correction will be very large.

Very good post op. This is what I am talking about. Learning from mistakes is the best way to move forward in life and you clearly seem to be doing that which is great in my opinion. Some people give up and never learn from their mistakes since they are quitters and don't care about improving in life and such people will most likely end up as losers in life.

I always HODLED whatever coins and tokens I had for a long period of time ever since I began investing in the cryptocurrency market which is why I earned big profits in the long term majority of the time.

Patience is the key here. As a bounty hunter you need to do tasks for more than a month then need to wait for the ICO to finish and finally wait again until they release your hard earned token. If you can wait 2 to 3 months for one ICO project why cant give them another 3 months to further develop their products.

I do not think so. Of course, if you sell all the coins you get is not good. But if you keep it, it's not a intelligent idea. There are some projects if you do not sell as soon as it is received, it will divide the money in your purse. Based on the situation. Make a decision that you never regret

Selling early is not good but neither is hodling for too long, as well. So there's no actual good or bad time when it comes to selling. But one thing that I always try to keep on my head is that, it is better to lose  a small profit for selling early than lose greater for hodling too much. Altjough sometimes, I tend to divide my coins in half. Hal for selling the remaining is for hold.

Lol. Its one of the most unpleasant experienced. But I'm sure that most of us have felt it one time if our trading journey. That's why we really need to be careful and used our better judgement to dump the coins right away after bounty participants have been paid. Its been a practice though to sell the coins however, others chooses to wait, but most of the time the price will go down hard because we started to sell it once we got our payment.

But if you really believed in the project, and you really think that it will go up, then I suggest you hold on it and maybe your gut feeling is correct. So another lessons that we all have to consider as well.

Patience in the crypto currency, this is one of the keys to success. This must be remembered for everyone. I think that almost everyone went through their fiascoes when they sold their tokens, and then it turned out that they grew well in value. However, patience also requires knowledge of how the project develops, as a result of which a token was issued. Because if the project has ceased to work, you can wait until your tokens are no longer sold and will remain useless icons.

No matter how you got your token or coin, always try and be patient enough to hold until you are in profit.
it is actually the common experience of the first timers especially on holding tokens. they do realize things after they sell their tokens then suddenly increases the value of their holding after they sell their tokens.

That is the most problem of newbie they are so excited to their first token they received its normal, after that they will learn to hold and sell at the right time. They learn to have patience.

It is never a good thing to sell hastily.
It is never a good thing to sell below ICO price.
It is not also good to sell at exactly the ICO price.

Most of the new traders today do really sell immediately their coins whenever they felt uncomfortable about the prices or they are just panicking and because of that, they lose a huge amount of capital.

I think it all depends on the needs of each. If we again need money, sometimes with a low price condition we still have to sell. That is, the sudden need that makes us sell tokens.

it is true patience is one of our capital to earn a doubled income. Although the coins we get from the bounty but it is the result of our efforts every day. we have to see the rise and fall of the price of coins to sell the coins we have so do not regret in the future, make a lesson of our mistakes for a better future.

Good lessons! But the problem is that you can't benefit them studying the theory. You have to lose your money, a great deal of money sometimes, in order to learn these rules! I see you've memorized them well! Good luck!

Patience is the key here. As a bounty hunter you need to do tasks for more than a month then need to wait for the ICO to finish and finally wait again until they release your hard earned token. If you can wait 2 to 3 months for one ICO project why cant give them another 3 months to further develop their products.
Agreed. But don't wait for months and wait for weeks is not a different strategy? Just some enough to get the x2 with coins, and the fate of the coin, in principle, they do not care. And unlike you, they can pull off 10 of these projects while you keep all the funds in one project. That is, they had more bets and less risk. And you have one bet and a lot of stress.

Men, if you think that coin has a potential and future you better hold and keep it. Its okay that you sell your coins before ,atleast you learned from your lessons and still you got money , its better to sell it cheap than nothing. I think you do the right thing but you forget to buy back the coins you sell because, when the token is listed at exchanger some bounty hunters immediately sell their coins and make the token dump, its the best opportunity to buy back once bounty hunters sell their tokens. Ony 2 out of 10 newly born ico get pump when listed on an exchanger so i think you did well, you just dont know which coin has future and token which is shit coin.

I agree with your point of view. Your analysis is very reasonable. Recently, I have seen many articles on holding tokens for a long time. But I have a question. If the market continues to decline like this, what is the meaning of holding it for a long time?

Title: Re: I have learnt my lessons

yes you have to have patience again and again. it has no sense to sell immediately. no matter if ico participates or receives through bounty rewards. wait and see the first up and down. and up again ;)
Impatient? Its right. That is the best enemy for us as investors or even trader so we have to kill it if we want to serve the success.
In other case also we need to be not greedy. When the price already profit so dont ever hold again to wait more profit because sometime the price will go lower again.

I agree, you should set your take profit points and sell at this levels in order to get your profit. But at the same time, I think sometimes it good to sell at ICO price if you need to get money and know how to invest them better at the current moment.

I also strongly agree with your statement.
it would be better if you hold the tokens you have do not sell in a cheap price state
I have 2 different ways hiw to handle this. I know impatient is need to be released from our mind since its bad effect to our strategy but sometime is good to sell early to minimize loss. First if we have good studying the project, we know the team, community and all about the project and we think it good then hold is not bad idea, its a must. Second But if we know just half information or maybe less then sell it in low is not problem to avoid more loss because it can be lower again after.

That is quiet good idea to share some of your experienced with this business. Same as my experienced before when I bought coins at that ICO price and then sold below ICO price due to the fact of fearing to lose money. I got lose and I was not got the profit that I am longing for. I realized it is much better to monitor updates of the coins we hold and patiently decide whether to sell or not. I have learned so much fro my mistakes.

If you do not know how to read a technical or even inactive chart to check social media groups and platform websites. You are a disaster and miss one of the greatest opportunities when selling Altcoin's. Ico takes time to grow so that the price for upward movement. At that time requires patience and always monitor the coin-making channel, Potential coins will look when the admin update each of their activities and we will know the right time to release the coins. At least can sell at prices above Ico prices.

It is highly appreciated that you made us know on this forum what lessons you have learnt in your dealings with crypto thus far. I was also once  in your shoe that anytime I get tokens like this, the next thing is to quickly dump the tokens  at lower price in the market just to get some money . I never knew I could sell at ICO price or even more until a friend of mine in crypto enlightened me. Now, I am making better profit by practising patience before selling.

Hodling not always is the best case things are dynamic, I try to hodl something around 8k and its 2k now, much lower than ICO price which doesnt any of my previous lesson. Its better to look further and make decision from it, speculation is key for I believe

In a way, I actually do not care if anyone is stupid enough to sell lower than ICO price, because that is usually my target most of the time. It was funny to me at first because it was more like someone just robbing himself knowingly or unknowingly.

Most times, if I miss a particular project that I know there is a huge potential for, I simply just monitor the price when it hits the exchange, and I wait for the dudes who are always happy selling at loss, since that is the way I see it, and I buy in for a sweet mouthwatering offer that the devs would not have imagined giving out. Good for anyone who falls into this category of OP and it sure serves them right.

The problem many bounty hunters face is whether to sell the token that have gotten immediately after ICO or at exactly. This has been a major challenge to all. I don’t always want what happened to me and how I regretted to also to happen to other hunters. Don’t be in a haste to sell your token. I know newbies are much into this because it might be their first coin and would like to see some money as the campaign ends. I regretted totally so please hold a little before selling.

At the end, it is you who must decide but I don’t think so that selling of the coins and that too now is some very good idea. You need to stay patient and that you must trust your coin for little longer as selling of the coins will result in more panic situation for you and that you will then not be able to make any earning but the only thing which will then result in will be regret for whole of your life.

It's good that you learn a lesson about crypto that everything in here is not easy money that you can get immediately.  It always takes time to wait the price because it will give you more profitable earnings.

Holding of coins is to risky too and I regret not to sell some of my coins when its on peak. Now they are almost worthless and I can't do anything just to hold it and waiting for the time for it to rise again.

Experience is the very best teacher to our self, even we learned on that still we make mistake every-time and that's our nature, we must set our goals to sell our holdings and never to be too much greedy on it, patience is also one key of our success.
That is right. We can learned something after we fail and improve our self to do much better. Not all things can be learned in instant other are discovered by yourself to have good result. When I got scammed, I decided to stop but I realized that there is a way to not to get scam again which is stop joining airdrops. I keep working because easy money cannot be worth.

Every person learns from their previous experience. When investors are faced loss or problem then they may learn from losses. They need to know which sector they have to improve. It’s a great investors character.

Yes, thanks for your information because it will help lot of people who have problem now about it. Thats true that we learn from our past experience, just like me, when I get scammed I learned new things and how to be careful. But I didnt say that you might wait for it to experience to. It is better if you also learn from other experiences.

When investing in any industry, it takes time before the investor will make a profit. And often quite a long time. Therefore, the sale of tokens at the price of ICO is out of the question. For those who need fast money, trading is suitable, but not investing.

I agree. Panic selling is never a good idea especially if you have the capability to hodl your coin. What is happening for others (like me), is that they don't have enough capital and they are forced to sell even with small gains. The truth is that sometimes it is good to sell a coin at ICO price  because of the fact that some coins takes a lot of time to mature. It will also help if you move on with the coin and stop monitoring the price. We will just regret it if we keep checking the coin we already sold.

I held a lot of tokens in my portfolio, but only a few of them I would cash out due to some important things that I need to do. It really depends on the situation. Think twice and act one all the time. Don't sell or buy with quickly. Because when I buy any coin quickly, I lost all that times. Now, I am waiting, I am watching and if I am thinking it will be good then I buy.

It really depends on the ICO. There are so many of them and they are providing high bonuses during the ICO and it happens that the ICO price drop after the ICO and never recover after at all.
There is NO universal  strategy, every ICO has to be researched case by case as sometimes long time holding do not lead anywhere.
Agreeing that  patience and discipline help in making good decision.

I like the fact that you have mentioned PATIENCE. You are right, impatience can make us loose the opportunity of gaining more. However, I won't hesitate to sell especially if I need the money. A lot of us are forcing and stressing ourselves just so we can't sell our coins. Only to know that the coin won't go up again. It happened to me twice. Knowing that the coin is weak but I still believed on it. The price dropped until its not good for selling anymore. Check the NBTK - Neebeus token.

Like I have always said, selling of your hard earned token when not appreciated is not the best option considering the rigorous stress one goes through to earn those tokens. From other people's experiences, I'm very certain that those token are most likely sold in a hurry even when the sellers are not desperately in need of money to solve problems, then why selling? Even if one is desperately in need of money, I think it is also very important to weigh options before making the decision of selling because there may always be a regret at the end especially if selling below or exactly the ICO price.

Considering the benefit one has to derive for waiting patiently, it is important that we HODL for a long time for it to appreciate before selling off.

Good or bad experience always provides meaningful lessons for all of us. The existence of a bad experience will make us more careful in trying not to repeat the incident in the past. Not in a hurry in selling tokens from ICO results, more patient in dealing with developments from rising token prices. Always learning to process patience will produce many benefits and get closer to success.

Also do not trade if you are not good with chart anlyses or experienced trader.
Those mistakes are good for begginers or people who are looking for any advice cause it is always better to learn from others bad moves than from ours (we don't lose anything then).

My own experience is that cryptos does not have a particular formula to follow, but what i have learnt is to follow the market trend, if the market is in bull run then hold, but if it is in a bear run then sell and take your profit.

Good point, I think it is good to hold when the market is in good condition and to sell off when the market turns bear then you can use the money you got the thing you took profit and buy at dip which will give you more coins to hold until market goes up again.

Nice said mate, an experienced taught us negative and positive side most important thing is that we learned and grow from that scenario to make us more matured here in our community.

Recognize potential tokens and hold it is not easy thing. Especially with new tokens, have just finished ICO selling. With me, I usually sell it when it is listed in market and if I see it is really a good coin, I will buy it again when its price go down

In a nutshell, we have to be patient to everything. What I have learned from reading books is that being impatient is being stressed about something that is beyond your control. And we all know that bitcoin is very unstable and unpredictable which is very stressful so I suggest when we do something think thrice before selling or buying because it will be better if think this through and do something without proper knowledge about it and with no hesitations.

Good to know and more of this still go down to what market is saying at the time of listing , just like this bearish market most coin go below the ico price simply because of down market not that the token is not good or won't perform so more reason hold still necessary though.

Like me I don't sell any coin I got from AIRDROP or bounty easily like that cos I know is a kind of free token and holding till perform won't do me any bad but gain, especially now bull same goes to bulling market time which you just have to sell cos once the bear start market crash .

So trading wisely is just the key.

but actually holding a token received from an ico whether it comes from a bounty or airdrop also has a risk, not necessarily the token in the future will experience a price increase, sometimes there is also a token in the future instead it gets worse and the price decreases, so be careful if want to hold tokens that come from an ico in the long run.

This is true especially to those ICOs whose supporters are fond of posting gifs and keep on asking when lambo, when moon. Good thing I sold mine before reaching rock bottom price. Moral here if the promises are too good to be true, stay away as far as possible from these ICOs

Well, sometimes you must sell it below ICO price to cut your loss if you know there is no hope for the coin or token.
A haste decision won't bring you any where, just decide it with a clear mind.
We didn't know the future of our coins or tokens price, so we maybe made some mistake about it.

Entering the realm of cryptocurrency makes is realize that all we believe in when it comes to money is tested. Like saving and holding isn't always the best option especially at these times when everything is falling into dip. I think the best lesson I have learned so far is the term TARGET SELL. When you are holding onto a coin, you should set a target value wherein you sell, this is to prevent your money to go down the drain when people dump.

Most occasions, in the event that I miss a specific task that I know there is an immense potential for, I basically simply screen the cost when it hits the trade, and I sit tight for the fellows who are constantly upbeat offering at misfortune, since that is the manner in which I see it, and I purchase in for a sweet scrumptious offer that the devs would not have envisioned giving out. Useful for any individual who falls into this class of OP and it beyond any doubt serves them right.

From the amount of experience you have, you will know which steps are the best for you to do, so you can earn a much better amount than before. You will also be more skilled at knowing the potential of the ICO, so you can join the more promising ICO and avoid scam ICOs. The lesson will also make you more clever in reading situations that occur in the market.

Most ICO are scams, so blindly following your ideas cut leave you with a big loss. To start with, why did you buy into that ICO you want to sell now.
At what stage in the ICO did you get in. Some people might have got in at a much lower price than you did.
If the end ICO price are 1 dollars, the pre ICO price might have been 10 cent, and the private pre-ICO price cut have been down on 1 cent or less. And you never know if the ICO team just made up a fake sales number of the ICO tokens. They most likely didn't sell all the tokens in the ICO, and now they keep selling them at the exchange.
ICO and crypto currency are not like the stock markets, there's almost no Value in the project you are buying into, most project don't even have there own blockchain and most coins who have there own blockchain just bought it from someone else.
Your buying an idea. And the team who sold you that idea are most likely already working on a new idea they can sell in another ICO project.

OP,  you are right, but most of these things have been happening and most times not only bounty participants, but also investors sell below the ICO price. It now seems to be a normal trend, that whenever a coin is listed, it just has to sell below the ICO price. Well i perceive that this will change very soon and by the time it is regulated, then there will be more and better control over price.

What I Wil always advice and would wish we all follow is take profits when in profit, be quick to cut loss, make sure your capital is intact don't mess with it. A 5% loss will take a long time to recover so its better one get a tiny profit than losing. We should learn what to do when trades go either in our favour or against us.

Then we must do the analysis seriously. Every decision we make must have a risk, we must understand it, so that we will not feel disappointed and regret when reality does not match expectations. Isn't the price of cryptocurrency very easy to change? The last failure made it a lesson, good luck.

I am not fully agree with you. Holding can be profitable but how will you survive in long bear market when your portfolio keeps decreasing every day, month? so sometimes it's better to sell and then buy low again.

One could have maintained the status quo, just as it were, but we now have a lot of dumpers, who care less about the growth of the coin, but are always after selling and just getting anything, even if it is small.
If anyone who is investing in a coin, is not ready to wait until the time a coin is set grow, he or she might end up selling at very low price and his has been the case for quite some time now.

Thanks OP for sharing your experience. Although there are times that if you want to hold a coin, you must have first done enough research, because there are some coins that are not worth holding. I have see quite some number of coins that never got as high as the price they were when they were first listed. The only thing I was seeing was downtrends and if such increase a little, it will dump again.

If I participated in any ICO and once the Token/coin hits the exchange and I have more than 3-5X, I sale and this is from past experience. I have lost out a huge amount of what I would have gotten if I sold a particular coin I received from bounty when I just joined the crypto space but decided to HODL for a bit more and the price crashed less than 50X what I would have had if I had sold out once it hit the exchange even so I still felt it was all profits since it wasn't an ICO but if I had known would have sold then. However, we all have different reasons to sell or HODL.

I think bounty rewards are meant to be sold early if you're a bounty hunter. Not all tokens you get from bounties will be placed in an exchange and if ever they do, price pumps and then drops back to ico price. So don't hesitate if you have the chance.

because the impatience after receiving tokens from bounty is a reasonable nature, because working in a bounty also does not issue capital. yes, indeed we spend time working there. I often can't wait to sell right away, because waiting for the token price to go back up is also very slow, so I always decide to sell right away. but this time it's better for the hodl, the market hasn't recovered and the ico rate is still very low.

it's a good idea, most bounty hunters can't wait to hold the coin they just got if the coin has a low value, because sometimes they have waited a long time and are waiting for their payment.
they also don't want to lose the opportunity to sell at a reasonable price because most new coins fall shortly after owning the market.
so this is a good opportunity to buy coins, but you still have to be careful in choosing it.

As a bounty hunter before,  I definitely sell my rewards once listed in the market and the money I collected will serves as additional capital for investment.

I agree with you because I participate in bounty campaigns and after receiving the award I have to choose what to do with the coins. I usually hold coins to wait for the price to exceed the ICO price. Since there have been fewer good projects recently, this is especially important and the hodl strategy helps.

It doesn't always work out like that every time. You cannot just blindly hold on to every altcoin you receive thinking it will bring you profit. You should research about the project and see how good it is before you hold for profit.

It really depends on the potential of the project and the market situation.
In the bearish market even perspective projects crashed in their token price after being listed.
Some of them went 90% under ICO price.
So, holding patiently is not always the solution.
We have to adopt our decisions to the market conditions.

True OP. Don't make hasty decisions based on your inner gut feeling.
It will not do good to you in the longer terms.

Its always better to research the coins first that are involved in ICOs and don't invest in them if they are merely cash grabbers.

This is the saddest part in playing on a wild market, to know the results. The painful truth is that no matter what your move is, you are still prone to negative results. The market is so unpredictable that we cant figure out what should we do next. The only mistake you made is to invest all your earning into ICO. You should always keep some for yourself.

I'd say more - it's better to invest little money in this market and hold the biggest part of it in fiat. It's better to be an observer in such a wild market than to take part in it in order to save you money and energy

Well, if you are just doing crypto bounty hunting as a sideline, I guess there's no reason to regret because you need the money instantly though the price of the token is not that high.

The most useful thing I learned is that price go down straight after release. Bounty hunters sell their part for really low price. And it is a good chance to buy token when it cheap cost.
It will happen but only those who are not having faith for crypto will sell at this panic so it is good chance for you but I think we should guide them and tell them not to sell because selling at this panic will surely spoil the market environment. It’s good to buy more if you find a trust worthy party selling their coin cheaper.

Selling coins under ICO prices with collapsing market conditions will certainly make us suffer losses. And of course, we will regret that ICO coins have been sold because ICO coin prices have great potential to increase again. It will be a very valuable experience and will make us better in the future.

For the bear market, the more patient you are, the more you lose. Like ICO in 2018, if you don't sell them soon, you'll lose more. Over time, ICO prices decrease more and sometimes prices will be reduced by 50 times compared to ICO prices, I have seen many ICOs like that.

Sometimes, the outcomes of some projects are not just encouraging. There was a particular coin I tried to hold sometimes ago, thinking that every coin that appears good is worth holding. Although, the project was a good one, but that was not enough to sit back and watch.
Later on, I discovered that the product had not been fully developed, so rudders were using it against them and that was how the coin lost its price .

the opinions of different people are best done. selling at low prices may be safe, even if it's lost but loses a bit and not loses everything. maybe it's better to hold it back, because it hopes prices can rise again. all choices are good but sometimes circumstances that make it not good. Only those who fully understand the crypto market have a chance to be profitable. This is not easy or free money that you will receive after your task has done. You must have a tolerable patience to wait until such time the project will blossom into a profitable investment. Profits will not come once the token get listed in exchanges as this will dumps due to impatience investors and bounty hunters that can't wait the development. Don't get panic in every bad news, the price will hit the bottom but it will recover and will rise again. In the end, patience will prevail.

From this, I can see how technology around the world is developing, always. I can see how a chance can make us worthier and richer, but a bad decision will give us big risks. The chance for us to enter the crypto market today is also very bad. They are fluctuating and dying. Now, unfortunately, in this very long bear market, many have learned the opposite lesson: coins and tokens should be sold at least partially, if there is a possibility of making a profit. However, in general, the decision must be made, given the prospects of the project itself of this type of cryptocurrency. Each cryptocurrency has its own characteristics and circumstances of growth and decline, and there cannot be a single approach here.

In fact, I am struck by the fact that many people drain coins after ISO without giving the project even start to develop , and I am struck by the fact that very few people use stop loss on their coin believing in their infinite growth . My tactic is simple, I do not sell coins immediately after receiving but I immediately throw them on the stock exchange and put stop losses , I'd better sell when falling and buy again at a better price .

Regardless of whether we invest, or hold,or promote a project, we have one goal — to make money and make a profit. As a rule, after ICO, the value of a coin falls several times. There are no rules of ethics on the market exchange, everyone acts as he considers profitable for him and everyone draws his own lesson for himself.

I think you're lying when you write about what you are willing to be patient and wait to get profit. In fact, now many regret that they did not sell their tokens during their x's.There are also many projects tokens of which will never cost anything.Wait in this case is meaningless.Perhaps really because of promising projects and it is worth keeping their tokens as long as possible.

The main lesson for me was that there is no sense to keep all my bounties and believe in a growth of these tokens, especially during bear market.

I agree with some of your lessons. But there are also wrong statements (as for me). 'It is never a good thing to sell below ICO price' I think it's stupid, some investors had special prices which are less than ico price. Also you don't know when it's better to sell. It would be better to make universal strategy. For example, selling on different levels, like 25% of tokens when you made x2, 25% when x4. And half of coins hold on long term.

Have you thought about what would've happened if you held and the price crashed on you? The point is learn to take profit when you see it be content with it.

for now it is very difficult to expect the price of ico to increase by 10x which is just the opposite, but it is true there are some ico that might rise 1-10x it's just rare and maybe we don't have tokens in my opinion there is good doing SODL to avoid things like that

i believe everything is more or less a risk, because different tokens differ from one another, how ?

if you do not sell hastily, token could dump and never rise again.

if you wait to sell above ico price, you may end up selling at a ridiculous low rate. we can only hope our research and assumptions will lead us to making the right and proper decisions.

All these lessons you can learn BEFORE you have lost all your money. It is the main mistake of all newbies - they firstly invest, and only then try understand what they do.

You know a had a similar experience, a coin I could have made enough money from but because I was eager and anxious to sell, I did and in less 2hrs, the coin did ×4. I was angry at myself and at the same time learnt to have patient for any coin i believe in

This will be a good lesson for many bounty hunters. In my opinion, you should never hurry and you need to have a strategy. If you follow the strategy, you are much more likely to make the right decision. Under the influence of emotions, you can sell your coins, and then very much regret it.

I have learned my lessons, when i sell it immediately and found out for the following weeks that it turned much high price. But I did not regret it because it is my choice and it was a call for my needs for money.Next time I will be careful whatever decision I make.

Yes I agree with you mate having more more patient of waiting to get your target profit in the market will be more helpful than selling it right away. And I think having a plan to your investments can make it more profitable in the future that's what I also learn from my past experience with my investments that I really regret in that moment and now I am very careful to prevent from making my decisions.

I think that every person who is the first to get a token from the results of their hard work will be very happy and very eager to cash in. As you say, they will not take into account what has been issued and whether they will benefit or not, but this is certainly true for people who are getting it for the first time. And you will begin to learn the right way to make a profit and not be rushed to make decisions.

I completely agree that selling good coins during a period of panic becomes an erroneous decision. I have always said, in such periods it is better to continue hodl and buy good coins. After all, over time, the situation will change for the better. Very useful tips, I hope they will help many traders and investors.

Thanks for your sharing. although it's simple, but this is the mistake that many people make. It is important to draw lessons after losses and quickly adapt to market changes to make the right decisions at that time. The crypto market is always changing and unpredictable, the thing to do is be patient and sober when making a decision so you won't have to regret it.

Well your advice sre correct, but sometime unfortunately people choose bad ICOs and loose money, i also learn a lesson because i should sell last year some coins when they value a good amount and now they value so low.
