Title: can bitcoin would actually be overthrown?
Post by: Choghonl on June 17, 2018, 05:26:48 PM
There are a lot of rumor right now while the value of bitcoin is decreasing that is can be potentially be overthrown. i know for a fact the bitcoins technology is kind of outdated compared to the new ones coming out of the market, but the coins value is so high right now and is also wildly known because of this popularity bitcoin invites new investors in the platform.I think ETH would be the toughest contender in overthrowing the coin perhaps it also has grown popularity over the couple of years of its existence and is also continuing to grow.

Can bitcoin can be potentially overthrown by other coins? what are you thoughts? and what coins do you think can out run bitcoin?

I think that bitcoin really should eventually be replaced by better coins.  However, at this time, there is so much infrastructure in place for bitcoin which gives a strong advantage to bitcoin.  Also, bitcoin is largely a primary trading pair and the most frequently converted to fiat/cash.

The more payment options to convert various cryptos to cash then the more bitcoin will hold less market cap.  And when you look at something like Ethereum which is being used more and more for ICO, smart contract, games, etc etc etc... yes, Ethereum is the strongest contender to take over BTC marketshare.

I dont think so. Bitcoin is the foundation  of this market so why you want to see it being thrown away from its own habitat? You think of your own coin that can compete against bitcoin but you are going far beyond thinking and you all want to kick bitcoin. The market will collapse of you are pushing bitcoin away from its ecosystem.

I suppose, that for now, bitcoin is already strong enough to stand alone and do not depend on somebodys decision to accept it, or not to accept, but we will see, I always remember, that I`m just a regular man.

it can be. there are something in this world that can't be remain for a long time being a lack of development and some volatility there are some possibilities that bitcoin will be overthrown by other coins like ETH.

Bitcoin is the apex coin in the crypto world. In all respect, we can all see how bitcoin has been playing that role of a leader representing this world all over. Like the popularity, bitcoin has touched virtually every regions in the world. In value terms, despite the volatile nature of crypto, bitcoin still continues to hold for itself huge value and potentials.

However, nothing is impossible, bitcoin can be overthrown, but not anytime soon.

Bitcoin can still be toppled by other coins. There are now a lot of valuable coins that expand the investment for everyone. If bitcoin goes down the price, it loses it's investors. They will move on to other coins.

No coin can overthrown bitcoin. Trust me. No one can ever replace bitcoin because bitcoin is the origin of the currency and its hard for other coin to dethrone bitcoin.

I do not think bitcoin can be overthrown by any other coin because it is more potential, stable and has a very large community than other coin in crypto. Though the technology for ethereum is more advanced than bitcoin, it cannot overthrown it. Bitcoin will remain the best and most dominated crypto and will continue get more stability and more people will invest in it.

Bitcoin now has many disadvantages, but its practicality is also very high. Although ETH users are large, these users are only limited to the encryption market. In the future, some kind of tokens want to surpass Bitcoin. It must be able to play a role in life!

Nothing to worry about. There is no coin that can overthrow bitcoin. They would have to invent much better consensus mechanism than Proof of Work first. And then they would have to prove that it works in practice for 9 years or so. Then we can talk about this again.

We all want to win in this market so we will do our best to make profit through this technology its true that we are just a human so its normal to incur loses. The value of bitcoin is decreasing but it doesn’t mean it will replaced by any coin, altcoins still depend on the movement of bitcoin So I think this is just an ordinary correction and bitcoin will grow more.

Bitcoin is the center stage of the crypto ecosystem and it's hard to beat this out by just asking that there's a potential altcoin that can replace it.

Everyone must be optimistic about bitcoin, you have never read about it being the starter of this market. It's impossible that it will be overthrown by any altcoin that you bet out there.

Bitcoin prices are indeed declining, but other altcoins are also similarly decreased sharply enough. In crypto, everything becomes possible, bitcoin could have been replaced by a better coin, but it will not happen any time soon. Currently ethereum is a candidate for that matter, because ethereum has the potential to grow into a growing community. However, it takes a long time for ethereum to be close to or parallel to bitcoin.

For now, not. Some people say probably in future, but I would rather say maybe not probably. BTC have highest market cap, and it's rising and falls affect most of altcoins, for most of time. And in exchanges alts are measured by BTC beside tether. And there are ATM's, where you trade fiat/crypto, which is mostly done in BTC.

Nothing stays number 1 forever. New and improved technology would always replace the old ones. The same would happen with bitcoin. But we can't give a exact date for that as still bitcoin is a dominant cryptocurrency. But it's dominance is decreasing with time.

Even this is a kind of FUD generation, because when a newbie sees a statement bitcoin might go valueless and might encounter a scenario it might get thrown away. Surely he'll hesitate to make the investment. It's better to discuss about its growth rather than discussing about things that generate a negative thought in users mind.

How is Bitcoin outdated? What tech do you want to see in Bitcoin? A lot of newer coins are throwing out features that don't solve any problem.
Overthrown by Ethereum? I don't think so. Last year was the last time ETH could ever get so close to the flippening

I fully agree that there is a possibility that sooner or later Bitcoin can be overtaken as the number one (in terms of volume and popularity) but as so which of the present crop of cryptocurrencies pretending to be the next Bitcoin will be able to topple Bitcoin that can be hard to predict. Now, having said that, it must be noticed that every time Bitcoin will do the dip the other cryptocurrencies are also following the same pattern. So in this case there is no one yet among the alternatives that is establishing its own leadership and value away from Bitcoin...these alternatives remains to be followers of Bitcoin -- when Bitcoin is down they go down when the Bitcoin is up they go up. Bitcoin is not perfect but so are the alternatives.

Overthrowing bitcoin is such a ridiculous idea, it wont never be happen because bitcoin is the master of all coins, if bitcoin goes down, every coins will go down as well and if bitcoin rises up, everyone will go up too. The coins that will overthrow bitcoin is not yet created and it wont be created at all.

Bitcoin will always be there because of 1 thing..  There is no devs to alter any supply of bitcoin. Bitcoin works and cannot be manipulated in anyway. That makes it pretty unique in the crypro space.

I dont think there will be a currency to replace bitcoin. And i really hope this as well.

I still believe that bitcoin will never be overthrown. About bitcoin being late on technology compared to the new coins, I think they can always improve their service anytime they want to. When bitcoin starts on improving their technology, I think it will increase its price again and will overpower other coins in terms of price. Ethereum will always be at second place and most likely stay there for the next 3-5 years. I don't see the point on whoever the number one is. What is important is that the coins co-exist with each other.

Bitcoin will never overthrown by altcoins. If you notice the price of bitcoin and altcoin, altcoin always follow the price of bitcoin. If Bitcoin price is down, altcoin also suffer the same fate. Sometimes other altcoins suffers more dump than bitcoin.

While this is unrealistic, if the price of bitcoin is reduced, the whole market of alts is reduced. Interdependence is obvious and does not allow to overtake it, but only remains in competitors. But I hope that soon this chain will be broken and we will see a revolution in the market of blockhain.

at this time I still trust bitcoin will go back up at the end of this year. if you decide to invest in another coin, you must make sure the coin has a stable value and many in use, so your investment provides benefits in the future. my advice, you can start investing in ETH coin because ETH coin value has the potential to grow.

If defeating Bitcoin is defeating market capitalization of Bitcoin, I think there are some Altcoins that have great potential, though it will happen in the next few years. And in my opinion, Altcoin that has the greatest potential is Ripple. This Altcoin has an enormous supply, so when it gets a significant rise, I think its marketcap will be greatly reckoned.

in my opinion, in the near future bitcoin will be dropped. Maybe it will happen but not that fast. Some people say maybe in the future, but I would rather say it might not be possible. I think that in the future, many cryptocurrencies will simply disappear, and only projects with ready-made working products will remain. This year will be decisive in many ways, such projects as EOS or TRON, only produce their own products. Much will depend on their success, especially for new projects.

I believe thats not possible. Its not out dated technology at all but I do agree that it is just slower now. The technology of bitcoin is simplest of all and its utility purpose is to send and receive the currency thats all. However over the time its deceasing in its real purpose and giving new platform for earning money. Thus it has become different level now and to cop up with that level bitcoin needs to speed up the process of its network development. However, due to its popularity and investors base, BTC will always be at the top of everything and will continue to up surge like the way it always did.

i think altcoin have a chance to claim first in ranking. BTC is the first coin ever invented in cryptocurrency.. So being mother of COINS. i'm not sure bitcoin is slowing down. one way to believe Altcoins, take for instance, study about Ripple XRP. the are widely accepted over BTC.. so this makes alot of sense for these platform because they know the deserve more credits

There is always a possibility that bitcoin will be overthrown and I agree that bitcoin is outdated compared to other new cryptocurrency that is way more faster and can process more transactions but the security of bitcoin with a lot of nodes and its popularity makes it stay on the top not to mention that it is the first decentralized cryptocurrency. Right now I cant see any coin that will surpass bitcoin on the top because most coins are still dependent on it and most altcoins are just useless.

Bitcoin value and market cap tells anyone that the legacy of bitcoin is hard to break, the huge number in the community is an evidence that most of them embrace the technology that bitcoin had been introduced, until now it is enjoying the luxury of being over the top but it doesn't mean that the team halting their innovative mind for the improvement of their platform because I know that they are taking it slowly but surely, though altcoins, especially ETH are getting more popular in terms of acceptance rating of the users, but as what I said, as long that any movement of bitcoin, wether it is up or down will directly affect to all altcoins, then the possibility of dethroning of bitcoin is impossible.

Everything is possible in this magical world. There is nothing that cannot happen. Changes keep coming and things should change as new things arrive.
BTC is or would be outdated at some point of time and yes it will be surpassed by some other better coin which has real potential to derive the market.

This discussion have been answer so many times for me at this moment ethereum has so many issues
that it will drag the coin, fee's are so high , until all this issues are not resolve, we can't compare this coin to bitcoin
sorry but thats the reality, the only way for ethereum to overtake bitcoin, is to make it more useful, and less bugs or issues

I find it funny that many people think that Bitcoin can actually be overthrown and replaced with some other cryptocurrency in this market which is seems close to impossible at the moment since Bitcoin is leagues away from all other coins in terms of popularity and value. There is a reason why altcoins depend so much on Bitcoin and not the other way around. Don't fool yourself people. Bitcoin is here to lead and will always dominate no matter what.

it can be. there are something in this world that can't be remain for a long time being a lack of development and some volatility there are some possibilities that bitcoin will be overthrown by other coins like ETH.
I also think that in the future ETH is the coin that will overthrow Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been around for too long and processing speed always congestion. ETH has transaction processing speed faster than Bitcoin

I think from first to last no one can overthrow bitcoin, bitcoin is a symbol or parent of all coins so it is impossible if bitcoin can be rolled.

Many people predict that Ethereum will be the coin that beat Bitcoin. But look at Ethereum right now, even the situation is worse than Bitcoin. In crypto all can happen, and the possibility in the future will be created a coin that is really almost perfect. But if you look at the current situation, I think Bitcoin will be up there for a very long time.

In my own opinion Bitcoin is likely going to be the most highest valued blockchain for this generation. Things can always change, but Bitcoin has an important role in the blockchain community and will not easily be overtaken by newer blockchains.Bitcoin has a diverse set of miners, developers and community members who feverishly support the technology.BTC is heavily invested and supported by the community, and has been growing for almost a decade. This sort of support is not built easily and does not go away easily.

Can bitcoin can be potentially overthrown by other coins? what are you thoughts? and what coins do you think can out run bitcoin?

in my opinion it can not be because the parent bitcoin of all altcoin and bitcoin is also the first altcoin in the world and thus I am sure Bitcoin will not be possible in rolling let alone Bitcoin has a good popularity and much in recognition by people because of the good coins and can be profitable by investing in the long-term

No coin can overthrown bitcoin. Trust me. No one can ever replace bitcoin because bitcoin is the origin of the currency and its hard for other coin to dethrone bitcoin.
seeing so strong Bitcoin makes the Bitcoin position so difficult to overthrow. so it takes a great effort to bring down Bitcoin and replace its position as the best coin with such an increasing development. so it would be great to have such a powerful Bitcoin.

like any other technology out there bitcoin will also be someday obsolete and will be replaced by something new. but talking about that NOW is the dumbest thing that anybody can do. bitcoin is the newest technology in this field and it is by far the best option out there. in comparison altcoins look like shitcoins which is why we call them that!

the problem with people these days is that they think just because some useless shitcoin like ethereum got pumped that means it is competing with bitcoin :D
but if you start looking beyond your nose you can see that a whale is filling his pocket with money to invest in bitcoin... that is how absurd things are in the altcoin market.

Rightfully mate, bitcoin cannot be replaced by the coins circulating in the market, yes ethereum is a good coin with a good platform but this is not enough tl break what bitclin stablished over the years of existence,if this thing would possibly happen this is not the right time,in future or maybe five to ten years from now, well no one really know
Bitcoin is the center stage of the crypto ecosystem and it's hard to beat this out by just asking that there's a potential altcoin that can replace it.

Everyone must be optimistic about bitcoin, you have never read about it being the starter of this market. It's impossible that it will be overthrown by any altcoin that you bet out there.
But remember the banker said that bitcoin is not enough scalable to be used as payment system (similar to the money) That means bitcoin becomes a good thing to store our value and to be used as non regular transaction in our daily life. I just try talk about the fact about bitcoin.

Will it happen anytime soon... doubtful. There is a greater chance once the markets decouple from
btc (slowly occuring now), but that will take time. And even then, perhaps btc remains on top
due to name recognition/lightning network and so on.

It is not easy to overthrow the Ministry of Finance, BTC is now spreading around the world and there are many people who believe in holding them, as a kind of property. The consumer community is high so the BTC is always one of the most valuable coins.

Based on this statement I am not agree because bitcoin is the father of crypto currency also this has huge market value and investors but new coins like eth or ripple or altcoins cant not take its positions because btc is already developed and lots of investors many people trade with this currency so it so tough.

What does overthrown mean, just taking the Number 1 Position or wiping it out? I think Bitcoin will stay very important in the coming years while it‘s impossible to say how big will be it‘s dominance compared to now. There are some strong contenders that offer more updated tech but it all is irrelevant when nobody cares about them.

I'd try to guess. All miners will work at a loss if Bitcoin is below $4,500. Thet's why Bitcoin may disappear or give up its crown to another coin such as ETH, for example. The most realistic scenario, IMHO

Some of the coins that are coming are trying to get to the top spot but Bitcoin still maintain the confidence of the community, ethereum is a strong contender, but we must not forget some coins are coming with a better technology, we'll see this in the next two years.

Bitcoin will not be overthrown but will continue to grow rapidly in 2018 as well as in subsequent years. Because at the moment I see BTC trading volume increasing day by day despite the decline in the exchange rate. This is a positive sign that the future cryptocurrency and BTC market will be very sturdy, so invest and hold long-term BTC.

I've never think that bitcoin will overthrown by other coins even bitcoin will fall deeply. Looking out all existing coins in the market and considering their price gap they are totally far from Bitcoin, even Ethereum couldn't do that.

I think so. Its possible. Bitcoin is the ultimate crypto and the one that started it all. For now, I think bitcoin will remain on the throne for the next 10 to 15 years or even longer. In crypto, chances are always there, but there seems to be an altcoin that can approach Bitcoin is something very difficult. If we look at the market, then we will know that the trend on global coins is almost always the same. Perhaps the percentage of fluctuations is different, but if the trend is always the same, there does not seem to be any altcoin capable of overthrowing Bitcoin.

Maybe in the past we believe that there will be an Altcoin that replaces or overthrows Bitcoin. Starting from Ethereum, then Waves and perhaps Neo are predicted to surpass Bitcoin, at least from its marketcap, and that happens when the market goes crazy. But it seems we know by now, that when Bitcoin is corrected, almost all Altcoin also return to Earth.

Bitcoin is going strong day by day as its supply is decreasing but demand is huge because every new crypto investor want to invest in bitcoin before any altcoin.

For me even if bitcoin now is the king of all cryptocurrency lets not take it to our minds that one of the disadvantages of bitcoin is that if in the future there will be a new technology that would be better and more convinient in terms of its feature then we will not know bitcoin might be obsolete because of the new technology. However, that would be a long journey and more studies to be made. For now, lets just support bitcoin to have it last longer.

First it is important to note that whenever bitcoin goes down, most of the altcoins go down too. Second, in bearish markets like this, the wast majority of altcoins go down even more relative to bitcoin. When bitcoin goes up, the reverse process is happening, and it can happen more often than not that some altcoins go up even more when compared to bitcoin.
Conclusion: bitcoin is driving the price of the entire crypto space.

Future. Bitcoins will be replaced by better coin in all aspects. but at the present time no coin is comparable at the present time to what bitcoin is giving us.

Yes, Indeed no coin can replace Bitcoin. In future there are chances that new Coin will reach the value of Bitcoin. Competitors are focusing more in order to achieve the best position in the crypto currency market.

Can bitcoin can be potentially overthrown by other coins? what are you thoughts? and what coins do you think can out run bitcoin?

I think that bitcoin is the strongest coin and no one can destroy it. For several years now he has taken the first place and continues to develop more and more.

Although Bitcoin is the oldest currency, its position is stable and difficult to shake.
However, with the development of the times, many new technologies are constantly pouring into the cryptocurrency market. It is not difficult to guarantee that Bitcoin will not be overthrown by the new cottage currency in the future.

No coin can overthrown bitcoin. Trust me. No one can ever replace bitcoin because bitcoin is the origin of the currency and its hard for other coin to dethrone bitcoin.
I can not be convinced for Bitcoin to be overthrown for this one. because with such a strong Bitcoin it is able to generate much more profits.
so very good for the future. so to overthrow Bitcoin takes a long time.

Yes, I believe Bitcoin will certainly be replaced in the future because bitcoin technology is out of date. I think ETH is very likely to replace bitcoin in the future.

ALL of this thread as posted are Speculation, Bitcoin will remain number one among the ALT coin, just take a look on the market preview, the market price of all ALT coin, Bitcoin is one of the Favorite among the ALT coin as posted in the market. Market is Volatile anything can happen at any given time, price market can fall or drops and goes up again, dependent upon the Volume of investment posted by the Investors of Bitcoin. The fundamentals  are stable, market structure are strong, with high level of confidence by the investors. If  other  Coin can surpass the price Value of Bitcoin then maybe that is the time Bitcoin loses the Dominance to all crypto Coins. But i would say...that can never be...

It's impossible that it will be overthrown by any altcoin that you bet out there.
for now, bitcoin cannot be replaced and can not be rolled because bitcoin own altcoin paying strong and can survive in time but if that from year to year all the more sophisticated technology and thus all will be expensive if the price of altcoin will be expensive the possibility of bitcoin can be overthrown

If some coin grows, when btc falls, than I'd say, that BTC is loosing it's dominance. However, it doesnt happen. From this point, I make a conclusion, that BTC will not be overthrown in 2018. And probably not in recent few years at least. Bitcoin №1 today not only becuase of technology but because of enough trust in it. And it's well-known brand already. It's valuable asset. There is no coin that is doing well enough to overthrow bitcoin. Looks like bitcoin will be leading the market for a long time to come. It is better that bitcoin leads the market than some altcoin that just came out a couple of years ago. Without bitcoin there wouldn't be a market, the market itself is shaped around bitcoin so I don't think that there is anyway that any other coin can surpass that.

At the current rate and current condition, I don't think so. Bitcoin is way more valuable than other coins and the possibility of overthrowing bitcoin is unlikely. But looking at ETH that so many ICO's is trusting, there is a possibility that it could at least attain what bitcoin already achieved. But this definitely going to take more time. Maybe 3 years minimum. Let's continue support our beloved cryptos. Good luck.

So usually those altcoins are to be exchange with ethereum. ETH can actually do it,If one looks at the price of Bitcoin versus Ethereal, Ethereal seems to outperform other digital currencies that can be compared with bitcoin.Ethereum as Biggest Rival of Bitcoin. The difference in market growth is what drives some people to suggest that Ethereum quickly become Bitcoin's biggest rival for the top spot in the crypto world in Crete. Ethereum is only available for two years, while Bitcoin has been in the market for over a decade. Actually, Bitcoin's age may be a barrier and even sparked a debate about how to measure Bitcoin's network in order to accommodate the booming user pool of Bitcoin and the transaction gets very hot.

While it might be difficult for any come to overthrow bitcoin, we cannot exactly rule out the possibility of the event. It just means that the coin might have to do so much what it self for that to happen anyways.

On the off chance that some coin develops, when btc falls, than I'd state, that BTC is loosing it's predominance. Notwithstanding, it doesnt happen. Starting here, I make a conclusion, that BTC won't be ousted in 2018. Furthermore, likely not in late couple of years in any event. Bitcoin №1 today becuase of innovation as well as due to enough trust in it. Also, it's outstanding image as of now. It's profitable resource. We don't purchase bitcoin to pay for espresso. Wink

Bitcoin is still the most popular crypto, I think. And I don't see reason of overthrown this gold like coin by others. Yes its price fluctuates a lot for so many reasons. But that's not all for which it would be overthrown.

I believe that there will be a new altcoin that is going to surpass the price of bitcoins someday and people will prefer investing on it, that is the reason why altcoins has also the potential to grow depending on the developers.

Never any altcoin can over come bitcoins as what ever the reason be, even if the project is good but still it is controlled by developer and when the developer stop the project development the price of the coin fells and even if the developer sell of his coin then also the coin dies.

For now, no coin is able or can be able to replace bitcoin. Bitcoin has gone too far for that to happen. It has lots of adoptions. It is used for so many payment options. So if any coin would replace bitcoin, it think the best for now should be eth.

I don't think that ethereum can overthrow bitcoin. However bitcoin is a crypto king that is very strong and will not be easy to overthrow. Ethereum is indeed the best altcoin and has the potential to grow, but I'm not sure ethereum is able to overthrow bitcoin. Apart from that, everything is possible in the crypto world.

I think the same. It is the founder and the father of all crypto so i don't think that it could be easily overthrown and the market is dominated by bitcoin so, like what you have said, the market will collapse if such a thing happened.

Can bitcoin can be potentially overthrown by other coins? what are you thoughts? and what coins do you think can out run bitcoin?
It is very laughable for anyone to even think Bitcoin can be overthrown. Bitcoin is the major component of the crypto market. It is the heart and the soul, any attempt at overthrowing it will have dire consequences.

I assume, that until further notice, bitcoin is now sufficiently solid to remain solitary and don't rely upon somebodys choice to acknowledge it, or not to acknowledge, but rather we will see, I recall forget, that I`m only a general man.

I think that, no. Bitcoin is popular (and is becoming more popular every day), but if there is a standing coin, then why not replace it.

Theoretically and practically it is quite possible. If bitcoin will not further improve and eliminate its shortcomings, then its popularity will continue to fall, and with it the level of its capitalization will fall. Then it may very well be that the time will come when its capitalization will fall so much that it will lose its price dominance over the other types of crypto currency and then it will be quite easy to overthrow the bitcoin  from the leadership. I would not like to predict what kind of crypto-alyuta it can do, because the market is constantly changing and even new coins can appear on the arena.

There is a possibility for anything to happen in the market, so I wouldn't totally over rule the possibility of this happening. But then again, when you look at it from another angle, you will see that this is going to be a very difficult thing to happen, if not an impossibility. Bitcoin is ruling for a reason, and it will be a lot for any other coin to overthrow it.

The current bitcoin dominance is around 50% and it is not going down anytime soon. So the answer is no. It will not be overthrown too early and that easily. It will take many years for any coin to beat bitcoin.

There is no way that the coin can actually be overthrown, there just isn't an altcoin that is good enough to compete with coin. Throw that in with the fact that there is so much time that bitcoin has had to grow on the other coins and the fact that bitcoin has the highest number of investors and the most loyal community of investors, there is no way that the coin can be overthrown

A possibility but that possibility if now right now, look at the coins in the market, there is no one that actually shows enough promise to be able to overthrown bitcoin. Bitcoin is miles ahead of all of the other coins, it has had years to grow, to evolve and the one thing that makes sure that bitcoin dominates over all of the other coins is that there are more loyal investors in it than in any other coin

I think bitcoin cannot be overthrown by any crypto considering that bitcoin is too strong and this is the crypto currency today that most invested by so many people world wide because of their trust and believed it will rapidly increasing it's market value in the near future.

I just laugh if there is someone who thinks that bitcoin will be replaced by another coin ... it is a very unreasonable thought, bitcoin is an old coin and if there is no bitcoin then there will be no altcoin, everyone knows bitcoin not altcoin and the development of bitcoin is huge so they can only compete with bitcoin but not to beat the price of bitcoin or replace bitcoin

Everything is possible in cryptocurrency specially the top positions because ever since altcoins has been created the competition started and for how many times they are trying to overthrown this number one and pioneering crypto coin

But with that said no one got a chance to get even closer to the value and market capitalizations of bitcoin things that brings failure to the competitors

I may believe that this will happen but not this soon,as long as the community trust bitcoin and have faith in blockchain technology ,even in ten years this won't happen thats for sure

may be replaced but no one can confirm when. more and more industries are entering this technology. indirectly, more and more industries will start using bitcoin and other crypto. so far I've never seen a crypto that is of value as effective as bitcoin. even though there are still many shortcomings we all will soon have a solution.

Not by any of the coins and the way that they are moving now. No one of them is moving fast enough for them to overtake bitcoin.  I don't think that bitcoin will be overthrown by the other coins because it is the foundation of the coin. It has been existed in many years and able to survive and has been through different problems. Bitcoin already proved the things that it can offer to us, and already established its good name and empire to the users. So for me there is no chance that other coins will surpass this

One minute you are thinking something is impossible, the next minute, it is happening right in fron tof you, It is very much possible for bitcoin to be overthrown, even as impossible at it may seem.

I had a situation where I wanted to buy one coin for a very long time while it was falling in price. I rearranged the bid to buy lower and lower. I could buy it in any coins, but I wanted to make it cheaper. In the end I went for lunch. When I returned, I saw that the price of a coin increased by 30%. It happened in 10 minutes. If I were not greedy, I could earn very well.
