In the past and recently, there are some who say bad about bitcoin, that bitcoin has no real value, there is no guarantee of value and assumes that the price will be zero. But everyone should know that the property other things like gold, silver or even money in your pocket are valued by the trust of the people with the central bank. Some countries do not manage the currency like venezuela or zimbabwe paper money fell dramatically. To me, the value of bitcoin is trust in algorithms and trust for network consensus. This belief is very certain because the network of bitcoin is extremely reliable. What is your thought like?

Silver was $80/ounce in 1980. Gold price was also high till year 2000.

they have been saying that about bitcoin for as long as it existed. they don't even believe it themselves either, otherwise they wouldn't have stuck around this long buying bitcoin all the while. i recently went through my post history and found interesting stuff from back in 2014 which i posted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4525450.msg41539055#msg41539055 look at the bottom part of that comment which are quotes from 2014, you can click them and see the whole topic. you can see nothing has changed between now (price @$6600+) and 2014 (price @$200-$300)

Honestly, I think bitcoins are valuable but it will be valuable in the future . Bitcoins are not valuable now, for real

The bitcoin is valuable because it has many opportunities that gives people especially things they want and need and with that as the years goes by the bitcoin will become more useful and very needy in the future.

The beauty thing about bitcoin is that it doesn't have any real value- but it's value is being determined by the amount that people are willing to pay for it, not like traditional currencies, that there price is being determined only by the amount of money that is backed by the government- so if the government or the organization that backs that currency stops backing it- then the currency becomes worthless.

On the other hand if we talk about an asset that is backed by the people- it's fully decentralized, so we can conclude that the fact that bitcoin is not being backed by anybody means it is not only decentralized on the technical aspect, it is also decentralized on the financial aspect.

I guess, what I see is what I believe in really. The market is already having huge value as can be seen since the start of crypto. The market is growing why? Because people are putting money into it on daily basis ad thus making it valuable assets. That money which goes inside the market is making the bitcoin valuable or giving it a true value. For example, if there is empty box and two merchants are present. One is to put money on it and other is to sell it. Both will initially put something on that box to acquire a share. That becomes the market cap of that box. Now one will hold and other will try to sell because he want to leave. This is creating demanding and to fulfil that one third merchant jumps and buys at that rate. This fulfils the demand and supply and in the process creates a value to that empty box. Because they don't understand how in the hell you can have money out in thin air just like Bitcoin and the rest of cryptos. Its valuable because there are investor willing to buy and sell it in which they are comfortable with the price. We did overtake Gold's price last year and never look back so its really hard to understand why people says bitcoin has no value. Actually the price could go up in the next coming years because of its limited supply.

For the record, gold and silver have nothing to do with central banks. They existed and had been valued long before the latter came about, and I'm strongly inclined to think that they will remain highly valued long after these institutions are gone for good. As for me if there is other words to qualify or use in place of valuable,  I will use it for bitcoin bcos to me bitcoin is d most valuable investment I can think of now, reason been that, something that worth nothing and it eventually rise to $1000, to $2000 to extent that in reaches $20000 and now it still worth $6000 plus.  That thing is valuable.
