Title: Will Litecoin recover?
Post by: Scoobers on July 21, 2018, 09:39:07 PM
I bought some Litecoin when the price was on it's way up. The price took a dive but I've been holding them in the hope they will recover to their former glory. This doesn't appear likely to happen any time soon, would I be better off selling them now and limiting my losses and investing elsewhere or do you think it's likely to achieve a higher price in the long term? All advice appreciated.

Nobody knows what will happen in the future. Perhaps you will come up with a compromise option - Sell half, and leave half for long-term storage.

It will, but i do not think that it will ever touch more than 300 bucks each one of the, it was a HUGE pump, it was exactly the same as Ripple at the end of the year, just forget about touching more than 300. Over $100 or $150 would be good

if I think personally should be for a while you invest elsewhere or with something else. let your litecoin be a long-term savings because we do not know that one day maybe the price of litecoins can reach 50% more than when you bought it.

Thanks for your opinions.
I think I may hold on a little longer as I would be gutted if I were to sell after all this time and then the price increased.
Having watched progress for the past year or so, Litecoin price seem to mimic Bitcoin with regards to increases and decreases in price so I am hoping they will both increase substantially over the next few months.

You should have sold it long before it dumps or atleast at middle of the dump where you could have cut losses. Therefore better strategy for right now for you can be just to hold whatever you have and hope for price pump which is quite likely with every cryptocoins when bitcoin will start to pump.

Bitcoin will first dump = Altcoin will follow the dump
Bitcoin will start to pump = Altcoin will follow the pump

If you are at a huge loss then it is better for you to hold onto them a bit longer. As of writing this, I see there have been some positive movements of Litecoin. The market is also looks like it has taken a bit of pace to move up which should also be a good news for you. Altcoins depend highly on Bitcoin, so hopefully when the Bitcoin price rises to a bit higher you will be able to see some positive outcome from your investment in Litecoin.

Give it some time, if you're here for the long-term then you shouldn't be worried about the current prices (this applies to any coin you bought on the way up). IMO, Litecoin is one of best alts in the market, I would go as far as to say it's currently undervalued, especially for what it offers and how well-established it is within the cryptocurrency community. Whether it is during the next altcoin cycle or the next bull run, the price will recover in the long run and even go past its ATH, just be patient.

If you're still unsure then you should wait for the upcoming 'bullish trend' to sell at a higher price.

I bought some Litecoin when the price was on it's way up.
now you know you shouldn't give in to FOMO in the future.

Until there will be a news that can create a hype to the litecoin or the bitcoin will rise to the roof and i thought that the price of litecoin will never to go back again to the moon. in fact that you can see that about how a lot of people are being trapped at the peak price and then you can see that about the possibility for that as long as a big waves come in the crypto.

How much you bought Litecoin before? and how many you bought?

If you decided to sell it now and limiting your losses why you didn't do this before? when you saw 10% of the loss then you better do it right. It's too late to stop the loss and the market is starting to correct as bitcoin goes into its recovery, you only have to wait now.

The crypto currency is a long-term investment. Why sell at a loss of the crypto currency of TOP10? Wait at least until the middle of autumn. Bitcoin has already started the way up. After him, and lightcoyin will go.

Definitely here for the long term but wondering if my money could be put the better use elsewhere.
Currently it's partly tied up in Litecoin and the rest in other altcoins and I would like to free up some funds for other crypto projects, I may sell some of the other currencies and hang on to Litecoin for a bit longer.
I agree that it's undervalued but it may never be priced at it's true worth.

Maybe you miss the time of selling your coin at the middle of the dump market but I know Litecoin can survive. I think you should learn on how to cur losses, while holding on your LTC better to study what trading is all about so you will not buy coins again at the wrong time.

I was led to believe that it would recover and grow to be worth much more so I have been waiting patiently (more than 6 months) and it looks like it may take much longer before it increases substantially.

It is possible that bitcoin will up the crypto market. I mean that the all altcoins will follow bitcoin by copying its growth and I am holding ETH namely because I am waiting that ETH will chase bitcoin and decrease the spread.

As you can notice we've been into the bear market for 6 months and if you can stay and hold still that's better for you but if you really can't anymore, you can let go.

And like what I said to you, the recovery is starting to be seen through bitcoin. It's price went up and other alts did the same thing (though not all of them) but I believe like last year when bitcoin goes ATH again, alts will probably do too.

The recovery of Litecoin at the end of 2018 is tough. By the beginning of 2018, LTC rates go to the moon to more than $ 300, so the possibility of large LTC will level off, and the exchange rate can only increase to $ 100 by the end of 2018 due to the cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin will make this market pump again, and I believe LTC will enjoy that pump too. You are the one who bought during the peak, just wait for the right time and your buying price will hit again maybe next year :) don’t lose hope abot that this is not the end of cryptomarket.

Title: Re: Will Litecoin recover?
Post by: mastadonballs on July 21, 2018, 11:40:59 PM
The recovery of Litecoin in 2018 is very low because the crypto is currently unprofitable, the exchange rate will slow down in 2018, and there is no sign of growth or improvement. So if you invest then you should invest in ETH in the long term will be much better than investing in LTC.

At some point Litecoin will definetly shine again but until then they must step up and do something great again for litecoin. When bitcoin will have the next bull run, litecoin will increase too but we might see a litecoin rise until the bitcoin bull run also segwith can make the difference.

Litecoin, who has experienced a recovery at this time, is stepping up its progress to advance Litecoin and restore its position. so, for now, Litecoin continues to rise and improve its quality to become a coin that is very capable to be reliable and proud of the future. so the change made by Litecoin is a fairly rapid recovery.

Of course it will recover as soon as the market starts to grow again. I remember times when LTC was traded like $ 40-50 for 1 coin, during the last rally its price reached over $ 350 on the peak of hype!

If you wish to hold for a long time, that would be fine with hope that it will recover. cryptocurrency market is not stable at this time  due to its volatility. So expect  fluctuations in price which can be linked with demand and supply.

yes I'm sure sooner or later Litecoin will come back and can benefit again because a few months ago Litecoin had declined and so I see how many people are starting to invest in Litecoin and help pump Litecoin prices to return stable

Yes, I was never in this to 'get rick quick', it was always going to be a long term investment.
It was money that I had put aside for investment so I'm not overly concerned about the situation but I did think it would have been further along the road to recovery now.
Having waited this long, I think I need to be a little patient and HODL a bit longer.

Litecoin is just a lite version of Bitcoin so most likely the rise and fall of Litecoin prices depends on Bitcoin but if compared with Ethereum, Litecoin is more potential of course.
My advice is to do what you think is best and you will not regret it in the future.

For recobery litecoin needs to show some growth in volume at the moment volume is struggling and is not supporting the recovery however it can always change, as crypto market is known for high volatility so volume can come anytime.

litecoin is the only altcoin that has always followed bitcoin price up and down. the others only follow it down and down. it may be because of the developer and the fact that litecoin is the first copy of bitcoin and the only one that is being developed for real.

so don't worry about it much, it will recover eventually as bitcoin is on the recovery right now.

Title: Re: Will Litecoin recover?
Post by: Red-Apple on July 22, 2018, 11:29:37 AM
there is no "on the way up" for the top 50 to 100 altcoins because like the rest of 1600 coins these have been also pumped a lot and have been in bubbles but unlike those 1600 altcoins these top coins resisted getting dumped which means they are still in bubbles and what you see is still a downtrend for the most part.
so when you see a small rise it is mostly a dead cat bounce not a recovery.

To be honest It is really hard for litecoin. From the beginning of the project, it is meant to be the alternative for bitcoin, so it really depends on Bitcoin. Moreover there are so many coins offering much better platform, network and development than litecoin.

At one stage it was 3rd in market cap behind Bitcoin and Ethereum and now it is 7th. I get the feeling that despite earlier promises that the development has fallen behind the others and perhaps the inflated prices earlier might have been due to a pump and dump. Only time will tell.

You are not alone. I also bought LTC 2 months ago at $150. Unfortunately, the bears accomplished their mission to invade the market and LTC went down up to $75. Well, I sold it for $85 and it was too late for me to realize that I already lost too much of my investment. My advise for you is sell your LTC if you already lost -20% to 30% then buy it back lower. If you are planning to HODL for long term, it also not a bad idea. Cryptocurrency is unpredictable.

Much talk has been brought on litecoin and it is not surprising to see this again, the probability of litecoin rising is a bit ridiculous, I think it is far from ever rising but as always no one can predict what will happen tomorrow to not even talk of months to come, I will specifically advice you to sell part of it and hold the remaining so as not to lose totally if it falls and at the same time you can gain more if it rises.

Current market is not recovered fully and the current market trend is stuck in middle of the bull and bearish trend, it may go either of the side any time. I think NEO is a potential coin but it is a slow and steady coin which moves bit slow compared to other crypto's. The price movement of NEO is not that much appreciated since it moves late if all the altcoins already attained the highest price.

Well, your trade shows that you are a high emotion trader who cannot control his emotions while trading and because of this reason you are still holding your loss-making trades just in a hope that it will recover and if this is true then i would like to tell you that you are no way near to professional trading. You need to practice a lot and right now there are high chances for the Litecoin to recover because the Market has started the Bullish rally.

I'd like to suggest to see the price change and market condition now. Everything seems settled well and most of the cryotocurrencies started growing in the market. Those reaction are now postive.
So invest on the litecoin and all other top coins in the market. Then for your information litecoin also grown around marketplace last few days.

I've heard many positive reviews about Litecoin, but the price of it remains quite stable for the last few months, and I am not sure that it can vastly recover, maybe there is some time needed in order to achieve the previous prices.

If you have invested in LTC, then you must trust the altcoins. So I think you should hold because of the great potential Litecoin will recover in the exchange rate at the end of the year, when the demand for investment soared. So you should continue to hold LTC and invest more if the exchange rate drops to a low level.

I think litecoin is a very good choice in this term. According to me, it has always a great chance to grow more and in my way of thinking, it is one of the few coins which are giving hope for the future.
Litecoin is very potential and stable to invest in the long run because it has a very professional management team and community support. The market is recovering well and I think Litecoin will also grow strongly after a long period of stability in this market.

LTC is one of a great coin, so for me it will recover just keep on waiting for that. If you’re trap with LTC, try to invest in other coins like bitcoin and eth so by this your loss will cover from the profit that you will make with other coins.

Rather it is a slow burner, not many people know this but Litecoin
performed better than Bitcoin in 2017

I believe that you should wait for the growth of the whole market. And then draw conclusions about the prospect of investment in this coin. At the moment, the whole market is just unfolding, most of the coins and tokens are below the price that they should have. In my opinion, it's silly to be selling in loss now.

Recovery in Litecoin is not just due to the momentum. There are also rumors that Cryptosecure will be able to bring out an ICO in the cryptocurrency markets. With the help capital raised by this ICO, the company hopes to make the cryptocurrencies less volatile. This will actually be beneficial for Litecoin. Litecoin has been one of the most volatile cryptocurrencies. After hitting a high of around $ 390, it has fallen all the way to $ 150 currently. This is the reason why many of the investors are fearful of investing in Litecoin.

I was led to believe that it would recover and grow to be worth much more so I have been waiting patiently (more than 6 months) and it looks like it may take much longer before it increases substantially.
As you can notice we've been into the bear market for 6 months and if you can stay and hold still that's better for you but if you really can't anymore, you can let go.

And like what I said to you, the recovery is starting to be seen through bitcoin. It's price went up and other alts did the same thing (though not all of them) but I believe like last year when bitcoin goes ATH again, alts will probably do too.
with Litecoin's growing capabilities now able to bring Litecoin to a much better extent to experience a much better recovery to restore it. with these present developments can be an ever-increasing and profitable recovery that continues to make it an excellent improvement going forward.

And don't buy litecoin at this moment, there are many legit cheaper coin to buy, instead of litecoin.

if you have LITECOIN coins or any type of coin. I suggest you have to hold it first because the market is still sad or the price is still low. and if you want to sell coins, you have to wait for the market price to go up again. let you feel the benefits.

Litecoin.

I see online wallet websites and exchange has not listed LTC up until now, while they already have ETH and BCH in their list for crypto to fiat exchange. Hell even XRP is there in other website wallets.
I said to myself "What the hell!". Where is LTC? This coin had already been in the crypto industry for a long time and it is being used a lot. BCH and XRP are just used for trading purposes to make whales richer while the one with usage is being dumped.

That is crypto world for you now. Being manipulated by whales.  :'(
Better just stay with BTC.

Litecoin has existed for 5 years already, as Bitcoin after correction is always recovered. I do not think that we should expect much growth in the near future from him. A very stable price at the moment which is staying up strongly, and each time it passes the resistance levels it jumps back above it. That shows a lot of buys happening as it gets cheaper. There is a high volume on the charts. Which shows there is a big accumulation going on.

Are you joking with us? In fact the chart of litecoin doesn't even show any bullish trend and it's only bullish on the dollar value and it has been losing a lot in the bitcoin pair. I guess you should try to take a look on the litecoin chart before try to say anything about that because your statement doesn't even have any relationship with the fact that has already happened with litecoin.

Sorry to say this but better leave litecoin now or you will be in bad lost since this coin are dying now, with no back up from the dev,no updating happening for long now and not even a promotuon from the team to attract another set of investments, instead it keeps on dropping day by day imagine from top three coins to top seven so far,i believe that in the end year this may dig upto top 10 or worst

you can do a lot of ways to bring in every quick or long profit. and now the growth of bitcoin brings many altcoins to follow its growth even though not for all. but altcoin top follows bitcoin movement, if you do short trade you will get much profit.

Nobody know exactly if LTC will retrieve in the future or not but for me, I believe in LTC and I think it'll be able to retrieve at the end of this year :). There is no way that a good cryptocurrency such as LTC can be killed just because of a normal down trend. Just hold your LTC and wait until the end of this year.

yes Litecoin will recover and be profitable because right now I know already many people are investing in Litecoin to help increase Litecoin prices back good and so you can get a good profit after investing in Litecoin

with Litecoins that have such an increased development capable of making such profoundly increased profits that they are able to make Litecoins worth more. Litecoin, which had experienced a downturn, is currently experiencing a full recovery which has made it return to its initial development and generated substantial profits.

Investing in Bitcoin is really tempting, especially if you know the rapid increase in value last year.
If the value of a company's stock can be predicted by looking at the financial statements and problems affecting the company, it is different from cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, its value is strongly influenced by the level of public trust. Its volatility can be very wild. So with that for me to recover or not the Cryptocurrency market like Bitcoin, it's very unpredictable. For my advice, try to wait a moment to sell it for profit, not just to avoid losses.

Yeah, you definetely should hold it, because it was just a correction, that followed Bitcoins fall down

But since Bitcoin is getting back, litecoin will follow it either

Don't sell your tokens about a year, it will gonna repay you way more

I like your comments. Do not be afraid to hold LITECOIN coins. I know that if LITECOIN is a coin that has good growth prospects and has the same potential as Ethereum. So I believe that LITECOIN will grow in the future and will benefit you.

The first mistake you done is you bought the coin when the price increasing. I think you shouldn't try to chase the spiking price, because you won't know if the price will keep increasing or falling after you buy it. But i think litecoin is a good coin, it is used by many people, so the price will be back increase.

At some point, Litecoin will definitely shine again, but the development team must step up and do something great again to achieve that. When bitcoin will have the next bull run, litecoin will increase as well, but I think the price will be a little slowly than before, market trauma will greatly affect purchasing power.

Not only you here had experienced the same way. It is so sad to know that the coin that we bought has a very small value in the future. But come to think of it, most coins that dives so deep are coins that goes up higher in the future. I am not so sure that this Litecoin is for a long term investment, but almost all altcoin goes with the flow of bitcoin. And maybe that is the reason why litecoin is very low today since bitcoin also falls. When this bitcoin will rise again, so there is a big chance that Litecoin also will rise. Don't think negative and look always on positive side before leaving all your altcoins.

Although some altcoins are earning prestige and global relevance with each passing day, Bitcoin is still hands down the most prominent cryptocurrency in the market with increasing appreciation of the transaction benefits that cryptography and the blockchain technology can provide.
Litecoin seems to be the preferred option for savvy investors in the crypto universe. For reference, altcoins are all distinct cryptocurrencies from Bitcoin which is the industry’s leader since 2009, and Litecoin may the best, most secure, and the one with the most untapped potential and will still grow more.

this amusement includes tolerance, LTC more than most. It's anything but a pump and dump shitcoin like 99% out there. With LTC you are getting a real venture. Offer and you will think twice about it, I have seen this multiple occasions, do what you should however you have been cautioned. In case you're searching for brisk increases then you have to go somewhere else, in case you're searching for a decent speculation, you are in the opportune place.

For me Litecoin like Bitcoin is a future coin, a coin which will be with us in the future.
We all know bitcoin is being used more as a store of value and is being 'spent' less.
Litecoin will be the spendable coin.

I compare bitcoin and litecoin to Gold and FIAT. We dont go to a shop to buy goods
with Gold we use FIAT same with Bitcoin and Litecoin, Litecoin will be the spendable
coin IMO.

this amusement includes tolerance, LTC more than most.
You can speculate but reality happens, from the market right now, all of the coins decrease it's value nothing escape this the tolerance after Bitcoin falls, with litecoin chances to to grow and recover still far from the market it's takes more time and more holders and investors to join in and start supporting again.

For sure it will.
LTC Foundation is working hard, you can check github as well.
More and more merchant are accepting LTC daily, I see announcements.
Merchant widespreading will be even stronger, once LTCpay goes in full mode..

the choice you made is right on LTC. buy when it rises, when the price slumps down you try to hold back. I think that's a logical thing, because if you sell, of course you will lose! when you have decided for speculation by buying high price time. I think it's a great person. please continue !!

All advice appreciated.
litecoin was in the top even before eth, and compare to the price at that time, even in this bear market, it is that bad,
sadly lots of people invested when it's price was too high.
I think it still has a chance to recover, but other coins are very strong too.

I think Litecoin is more popular among the old traders. I do not mean the guys' age but the experience. They know - Litecoin is a trusted crypto, and finally, it will gain even if they have to wait for it long.

I think litecoin is also a good investment we hold in the long run. because seeing its development every day also grows better, so I believe we will also get more benefits in the future.

I think litecoin also has a good future, we get a lot of profits, even though now litecoin prices are still low, but I'm sure the future of litecoin is still good in the future.

No, I think you shouldn't sell it . Because maybe with your impatience right now will make you regret in the future. Litecoin is also like Bitcoin and Ethereum, its price may go down hard but they will grow very strong in the future by the potential that they are having

If the market starts to grow, then undoubtedly Litecoin will begin to grow... Everything depends on the growth of bitcoin... Bitcoin will grow well and all altcoins will start growing..

I think it will recover soon.

We dont go to a shop to buy goods
with Gold we use FIAT same with Bitcoin and Litecoin, Litecoin will be the spendable
coin IMO.

Years ago, some people really compared Bitcoin with Litecoin and called this fork the next BTC. I think, although it is not true (in my opinion), this token is cool. It will recover and its price will reach $330-350 like in December 2017.

Litecoin is no different from other altcoins, so it will recover only after bitcoin begins to grow. If bitcoin continues to fall, then litecoin will also depreciate.

I think Litecoin will recover, Litecoin is the legendary coin that has long been established.
Litecoin is also on several exchanges and I like that.

LTC was indeed a very mainstream coin, but it has gradually declined in this market. So I don't think you should expect that one day it will rise to a very high price, even if it really has that day, then it is a lot of years later. So you should sell them

Litecoin is one the most popular currency, so if crypto market will hit again then I am sure Ltc also hit. I just hold the coins.

What I see is that Litecoin is higher than TEN and NEM, this is a good movement and will later crawl to occupy the best and top positions. Gradually, LTC is able to survive and recover and surprise its holders.

the fate of litecoin is more or less the same as ethereum, but this is not due to problems with litecoin, but indeed all the coins in the crypto market continue to deteriorate, I'm sure if bitcoin will recover, then all coins will automatically recover

Just hodl your coins because market is generally down and not limited to litecoin. If you bought high price and sell low price, you loss! Patience is a vital tool to succeed in crypto market.

Hold is the best option! Litecoin follows the trend of bitcoin, and i think litecoin is one the most popular currency, so if crypto market will hit again then I am sure Ltc also climb up.

LiteCoin is a legendary coin and it's good for the long run, and it takes a little time to raise the price.
There are also many ICOs that have open payments for Litecoin, so LiteCoin is pretty good for long-term investments.

It's good to buy litecoin in dump because as you mention it is legendary coin in where we can expect good return of profit ,although it's nothing improvements but I believe there will be unexpected raising in price.

In my opinion, it would be better if you hold back until the price jumps back or at least you are at a loss. But that all depends on your own financial condition at this time. Don't give up with difficult circumstances.

When one coin recovered and skyrocketed then it was certain that it would have a global impact, when Ripple rose more than 80% a few days ago the price of another coin also rose so I was sure that crypto's future would improve.

We are at the bottom, and if the market is thriving in the world, trusted by many investors, surely LTC will recover. Undoubtedly, it is a great altcoin but is underestimated. Invest in the altcoins in the top 30, hold the 2 years you will always be profitable.

of course the market will rise again, after going down I am sure it will rise again. yes, when prices go down, opportunities to buy as much as possible so that in the future prices rise high, you can get big profits. especially if the Altcoin you have has great potential and is likely to rise high so you can make big profits.

No one knows what will happen tomorrow with the cryptocurrency market, as an ideal option, you can consider a partial sale of Litecoin. This is a very popular coin and once bitcoin starts growing everyone will follow it and Litecoin too .

We all know the crypto market is stable as Bitcoin gains and returns dramatically. So when Bitcoin comes back, Litecoin will recover quickly and its heyday will return. Now you should keep it and wait patiently.

Good quality projects like Litecoin will recover their value no doubt but you should wait for the market to become bottomed out as it is now before investing into assets like this and that way you can maximize your profit when the next pump occurs
