For change, the first step is belief. Bitcoin isn't going to be a one-world currency, it doesn't have to. A decade, for the one's who are not into Bitcoin for/as money making machine/get rich quick/FOMO do understand that decentralization survived a decade and it's the beginning of somethings that will be changing the future for good. Maybe I went a bit deep, but not utopia, sit a day, ponder over how decentralization can change the world. What they say, harbinger of change and that's what Bitcoin is, beginning. Hyperbitcoinization is far fetched, for the time being slow and steady adoption is all that matters where to the moon doesn't only have the numbers in price, but also in genuine users.

No, that is not. Bitcoin are giving to us a big opportunity and can be changed our lives and of course it will not bring disaster. If all people are believe that Bitcoin will be the world currency, the OP says is the possible will may happen to our world.

Bitcoin is a common digital currency for bitcoin-accepting countries, as if the world accepts bitcoin, bitcoin is seen as a global digital currency for the whole world.

This doesn't make much sense to me as bitcoin is a decentralized currency, thus preventing any monopoly from controlling it. As soon as a monopoly controls the cryptocurrency, it is likely to lose its value. The mining concentration though is worrying and hopefully will be resolved.

Disasters are not experienced because any non living object; but because of madness / foolishness of man.  It is not not any cement / steel / or any other dead materials responsible for disasters but the truth is that greed of man is behind all such  happenings. 
When the man crossed the boundaries to nature interference; the nature always took revenge.

BTC is not going to be the word currency. Countries are not going to give up their fiat of course but they will try to make use of their power to get their hands to control it.  And they are now up to it already through this regulations like ETF that we are hoping to be approved. Bitcoin being approved ETF doesn't mean bitcoin will be the currency of the world.

I think most of the people have misunderstood that world currency means the single currency in the world. However, I believe that Bitcoin has a potential to be one of the dominating currencies in the fund transfer industry but that doesn't mean that Bitcoin will be the only currency. At this stage, not even 10% of the global population is using Bitcoin so it has the capability to grow at an exponential rate in the coming years.

I don't expect bitcoin to just replace all the countries fiat currency immediately. As the world is migrating from Manuel to digital we also need a digital currency that will eliminate third party interference. I think bitcoin will be use along side with our traditional fiat. The option will depends on individual.

I don't think bitcoin will become a world currency, at least in the short term. We all know that bitcoins can be used as a way of payment, but Fiat is still the mainstream way of the world, and it's hard to get a share in the payment field without the support of national policy.

I have been seeing trends like these for so many times and somehow has the same thought so far. It is really good to be connected as some part of this world so does and so will do with our very own currencies. We are all aware how fiats are being divided by country and here comes bitcoin. Bitcoin is an international and even intercontinental fiat for us.

Decentralized currency system will rise in the future as world currency. It could be bitcoins or any other. The thing is decentralized currency system, cant be manged or controlled by gobernment or any other system. It is the freedome of the currency systems.  8)

Bitcoin does not need to be the only currency in the world. Bitcoin use is allowed only in countries. Already many payments can be made with bitcoin. In this case, why is bitcoin the only currency? Or why would world countries accept this? It does not have a fixed price. There must be a certain price for this to happen. If we think about this, the value of each country will be equal in monetary terms. Bitcoin is a coin with mining. Well, now the central banks are going to start printing. I don't think it's necessary.

I have watched a youtube video yesterday and there is this one person that came into the future, particularly he came from the year 2020 IIRC and he came into our world and saying what can happen. He said many things but I didn't remember but the one thing I remembered is Bitcoin will be used in the world as a currency but fiat currency will also be used so there will be 2 world currencies. Maybe he is just bluffing but lets see :D. Just sharing.

Sorry to disagree but I think having bitcoin or any other crypto as a virtual, global currency won’t end in a disastrous world. I do believe the opposite will happen. When power is given back to the people to handle all financial transactions –that is perhaps, one of the best democratic events that could happen. We could achieve equality, a bullish economy and a safe, secure future.

First of all, that picture is misleading. It shows negativity. BTC is not here for that. It does the opposite. It made people into millionaires and billionaires and turned their fates around. Secondly, it is not a monopolistic coin.

Currently people consider Bitcoins as a store of value instead an actual currency. This is because everyone is trying to become rich quickly! With such a mentality I am not sure if Bitcoins will ever become a World Currency. Also there is lot of resistance from different governments to restrict the use of Bitcoins since its decentralized ( governments cannot basically control Bitcoins ). So I do not thin Bitcoins will become a World Currency at least in the near future.

Bitcoin as world currency will create a good opportunity for everyone who has frustrations with traditional currency. It's been a long time we've been a slaved of government's policy on taxes but nothin happened to the middle class status of life, it remains poor community. With bitcoin, if it became a world's currency many people will become more wealthier than before. Decentralized currency was separated from government controll unless it was subjected to a total restrictions. More people will have the opportunity to earn by their freedom without the transparency on government regulations.

The blockchain is certainly the future of transactions technology. As it would eventually be adopted and applied in the main stream system.

From the looks of it, i don't think it will ever happen for bitcoin to be considered as a global currency - well at least not soon. I reckon bitcoin an asset not as a currency. It is so highly volatile that it's value fluctuates drastically in just a nick of time.

In my opinion, the picture will be just the opposite of what it is trying to portray right now. BTC was invented to fix the problems with the current economy and if you are well aware of the crypto news you'll now that many countries are already embracing it to solve problems like recession and inflation of their current fiat currency. Bitcoin as world currency from my view is not really possible. Firstly the fluctuation is too high to be consider for world currency and the scams involve unless there is a mechanism or something that can lock the price up and lower the scams maybe then there will be a chance to be a world currency and replacing fiat

Regulated in which sense? If you mean that we can stop corruption and make sure that money only goes to productive uses, how would that be possible with bitcoin? Or a centrally regulated exchange, but then how would that be beneficial and not just become another stock exchange?

I wouldn't say that bitcoin will ruin society like it shows in that picture, that's a bit extreme. It's not bad for the way our society and commerce systems function because it adds value to our exchanges and enables people to reach further than before. Which in turn enables collaboration and innovation.

Yes its a currency but bitcoin is not used as a currency. Bitcoin will never be world currency, it will just become more popular but it will never be used as a currency because if you used it as a payment, you might lose profit when its price increase. I think bitcoin wont be a world currency but rather a store of value just like gold. I believe that is much better for the crypto community. Legislation can get very hard on a currency. A digital gold is much easier to accept for any exchange or financial institution. It will become part of their investment portfolio and thats it. But that will be enough to stabiliz a high BTC price. This is our goal I believe. I dont want to spend my BTC as a currency :)

Yes it is hard for bitcoin to become a world currency, because world is really big and maybe there are so many people or government that didn't accept bitcoin as a currency. Actually I don't think that bitcoin will become world currency and it's can't to be like that. We don't really adopt bitcoin as currency now, most of us are only consider bitcoin as an asset and most of us always convert it into fiat to get the real profit.

I don't think bitcoin will put our world into that disaster. Well i don't think bitcoin can become a globally accepted currency that will be used by every nation as its own currency but rather it will be accepted as medium of payment for transactions and also it can be used to purchase items from online stores and grocery stores.

I think OP's image is a bit of an exaggeration, as is the thought that BTC "is going to be the monopolistic future world currency", in my opinion it is unrealistic simply because not everyone in the world has access to computers, internet, etc. (there are still communities out there who have no access to those resources). I do believe that cryptocurrencies do have the potential to reach the masses at some point, but I am not sure if BTC will be the one to do it.

According to my point of view I don't think the picture here suits as an illustration.

 I don't think that Bitcoin is going to be world's currency. Many governments in the world will not get away from their fiat currency. If they approve bitcoin, they won't be able to control it as they done for fiat currency. So they will never let go of fiat money and I think without being world's currency, bitcoin will be more used as a fund transfer method in the future.

Yeah i thought of this also of course bitcoin  is already a world currency for decentralized form of currency. I don't think so that bitcoin will become an world currency. Their are many reason behind this. First of all it is not a global currency because of its decentralised nature it is ban in many developing and developed country. Another reason which creat problem for it is its volatile nature. Its high volatile nature is the main reason behind its falling price and because of this many people consider it as a bubble. Bitcoin run over an complex algorithm and many people still doesn't understand it so they don't believe to use it. So these are some reason behind this topic.
