Title: Patience is a virtue but how much patience do you have?
Post by: DarkBullet on July 31, 2018, 02:03:48 PM
Now that the market is bleeding, our patience will be measured again and those hearts will start pumping so fast every time we look on our portfolios went down for more than 30%. Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?

Patience is really not infinite, even if you are in HOLD mode, yet to see how bitcoin is constantly falling today is very strange and probably boring. Therefore, people lose interest in crypto-currencies.

I usually don't open my account if I lose more than 30%. I do other things like watching movies, eating, hanging up, etc. Altcoins have their ups amd downs. And the best time to check you coins again is during the bull market. Don't get affected by your emotions.

Bitcoin was below $6500 a month ago and its above $7500 nowadays. Most of us are in profit.
My average bitcoin buy price is even lower than $5000 and I'm still going to buy bitcoin till it stays below $8K mark. After that, I'll be selling.

It's really hard to control if your portfolio is not spread enough that you still have a small profit from other coins, if you only rely on one coin and that coin started to dip you will be disappointed because all your hope rely on only one coin, it's different if you have a balance portfolio.

I think patient is important but it does not mean that you wait as long as possible. More important you should know when is optimal time to sell or hold your coin.

I have tried to sell some of my portfolios and waiting for this moment to buy more and more coin as much as i can. It's not a problem to see my portfolio gets decreased a little bit but i guess this was another correction to the bitcoin price.
Just like try to put all of my attention to the crypto market and doing the best on it. that's a simple answer.

Patience is truly a virtue but that doesn't mean it can't be tested some of the time. Having Courage as much as patience is essential when investing in cryptocurrency because you need courage to help you sustain your patience. The crypto market is one that tests people's patience to its limit and a whole lots of people end up with loses. Understanding how the crypto works goes a long way in helping people to avoid panic especially when the market is down and there are loses because no matter how long the market is down, it'll surely go back up....

Many users here have different experience and technique or strategy about trading so for me i will hold all of my coins/tokens until i earn already or until they gone already and even they drops then i will buy again because if your here in crypto we need to take the risk so we already know what really can happen in our investment like we can earn or lose all our money here in an instant another thing we always need to believe that market will grow and better to prepare yourself anything happen here or accept all things here

For example, I have the patience not to sell my coins because in that case I will lose my money. Now my coins are cheaper than when I bought them, so I'm waiting for the market to go up.

I once said to myself, "the moment you are about to sell is the moment you have to hold it more" but most of the time, I am not doing it. I  consider myself patient enough until this challenging situation tests me. I know I should.hold, but too bad, there are really times I panic sell.

If you still believe in the potential of the coins you have, stop checking prices every single day, take a crypto holidays and come back in one month. If things have not got better, repeat the same operation for another month and so on, until the market trend changes.

I think the best way is to delete the trading software. ;D
So if you don't have access to the price, you won't be afraid and you'll learn to forget to buy.

Another small correction of the market and now I read these messages again. Guys can stop crying every time when the price of bitcoin loses 20 to 30 percent. It may last the whole year, or maybe the next. Do not worry the market, crypto currency is just beginning to develop and is still ahead.
I do not worry at all, my portfolio is in big plus and I can look at these falls for a long time)

I think it's important to realise the long-term potential of cryptocurrencies & understand that this market is still in its infancy. With a long-term mindset you learn to ignore the day to day price swings. I'm willing to hold & wait for a few years, so if we're still in a bear market by 2020 then it'll be time to reevaluate.

The main thing is to see the goal and understand what is happening in the market, then it will be easier to move this expectation. And if you came here and wanted to quick HYIP and become a millionaire, then sorry. That's impossible. Here you need to not only tolerate and wait, but also to respond quickly when you need and analyze what is happening every day.

Trust and confidence towards your portfolio it will boost your patience towards the price decline, you should also know what's going on to the market why the prices bleed and decrease so much while on the other day it is just a swift fluctuation, know the current news to position yourself, know the coins that you are holding not just because you got fomo from them if they have the potential for a great profit someday.

Count on me. I am holding moderate bag of bitcoin since 2 years, I got it hiked by 500% in the last december, sold it and bought more bitcoin and now again holding it in every dump or spike graph that may arise further. I am thinking about holding it for next two years, if there is any situation where bitcoin doubles in its value then I will repeat what I did last year, will have more coins and will hold again. I am gonna do this until I raise specific amount of money which I wanna have for my retirement. Guess what already mid way to it and might reach goals by two years. Thats the patience I have.

Yes, indeed patience is what people should have to consider and need to sacrifice also for the purpose of making the goal to become successful. As we all know, cryptocurrency market seems to be down again in this current situation and we need to understand that this is just how crypto works. Therefore, you need focus on the goal no matter what it takes and just not loose hope for this current market is just a temporary one and this will be back to recovery in the coming months.

If you are holder with large briefcase of cryptocurrencies, then it's very difficult for you to watch fall of crypto exchange rate. The best way to calm down is not look crypto course for a few days. It is hard, but it helps to calm down and not to make hasty decisions. Think about that course crypto will rise again. And doing something that can distract you from crypto. Hope this helps you.

As i am new in crypto. i have been here since 3 months . i participated in lots of bounty campaigns in these three months and invested my 7-8 hours daily in crypto. Still till date i have earned very few coins/token. I learned one thing, things will well gradually so patience is necessary.

In actual after one or two year it is a usual thing that market get dumped to big fall and that comes at stable by getting down for some times , in that way we should not expect more by the amount of the price that there is any chance that price can get up more , because in my experience when anything get recovered from long term loss then in that case it becomes at stability for long term and we should expect it at strong price and at this price range we should start our work of trading ( buy and sell of coins again ) and the coins that you bought long time back , you should hold them and don't get sell them with loss , wait until you become in profit easily .
So take patience for that amount of money which is in risk since long term and also Always remain positive .
And a big thought should be in your mind , which is , buy>hold>don't sell until you get profit , this pathway will give you sure profit easily .

I just believe in the blockchain technology and in what is behind it the future. And I don’t care, the red market or green. I just  check the course in every day. If the market is red, then I buy or do nothing. If the market is green, then I trade. Crypto is a philosophy, the nerves must retire.

Panic has always been a poor assistant in financial matters. Only random people on the crypto market sell their assets now. Those who believe in the blockchain technology, don’t pay attention to panic and to the fall of the market. Because in every market there are falls and ups. And in every market there are alarmists.

Lately the market price has always been red so it makes my mind stressed and my patience starts to disappear because it doesn't find a bright spot from bitcoin, but I always realize that we will not always experience happiness, there are times when we are sad and must be patient to find happiness the other, one of them is to be patient to wait for the increase in the price of bitcoin and provide benefits to all of us.

Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?

Market has been bleeding for several months now but we are still here!
I usually spend time reading/researching while the market is down and bounty campaigns of course. Finding ways to earn  ;)

Well, in terms of controlling myself not to sell or do thingsstupid with my funds I literally don't open my wallets I just give it a glimpse on coinmarketcap if everythings fine again but if not I stay away with my funds just to make sure I am not doing silly things like what others did to their own funds. Sometimes I pour small amount of funds to what I think will be recovering right next to Bitcoin that is why those red days can be a way to gain more profits.

Yes, patience is a virtue. For long term investment this is really applicable. But, with the necessary precautions. Example,if you had invested to BTC, this is true. Wait and wait until price goes up again. However, if you had invested to specific altcoins, you should take extra careful. Always look at the trend and the possibility that its price may not climb anymore.

I have no panic. I don't check the price even.

Patience is because I have the belief to be able to stick to it. From the time I entered this market to the present, I have discovered the changes in this market, and I firmly believe that this market will pick up again, so I still have a big deal for this falling market. Hope, I believe it will pick up again.

I have prepared myself with other business sources in the real world, so when Crypto experiences a downtrend, it doesn't give a FOMO effect that is too big for panic sales.

just like you, the current trend is the opportunity for me to analyze more, I just joined this year and feel they have to learn a lot of things and including when the market is not good. my attitude continued to hold coins until the market improved again.

I think sometimes it is okay to take a loss and move on. The market is so unpreditable that may wipe out your entire investments.
I wouldnt be patient in crypto world as the market is still too young. I would rather have some money back rather than lose them all.

A friend used to say crypto is all about Paytience. When you exercise patience you get paid. It's as simple as that. But it is easier said than done. That's why Buffet said that : Forex market is a tool for transferring money from the impatient to the patient. What I do in red days is to simply stop watching the charts, delete all my portfolio monitoring apps. Focus more on my offline business rather than letting by blood pressure rises unnecessarily. Take a break from crypto and you will be alright. You will spare yourself the mistake of panic selling. Cheers mate

But of you a long term investors, you dont to use your patience now, maybe after the time you settle. i don't know how much money some people have to lose before they stop chanting "have patience"!

it really doesn't matter how much you sugar coat this, in the end you are encouraging people to bag hold while getting dumped on. and the result is a huge loss, a prolonged bear market and a bigger downtrend.
instead if people dumped like they always dumped in previous years after each pump, we would have already gotten out of the bubbles and were starting to see the summer pumps that are common during this time of year in altcoin market.

That depends on the situation specifically, but I generally am a very patient person which is why I tend to HODL all my coins and tokens rather than sell them outright majority of the time. It is quite tough to actually HODL and far easier to simply say it. This volatile market is a very risky environment where tensions run high almost all the time whenever the values fall or rise suddenly which is why I never recommend investing what you are not willing to lose. Assess your patience levels and decide whether you can HODL for the long term before shouting that you are a HODLER everywhere.

Many people say patience is keep hold until the price reach stop loss/ take profit point, meaning follow your strategy don't ask again why?. Depend my experience we can keep hold ( patience ) if we realize that there's no instant process to become winner and time is part of it. Too often see chart can make you change your strategy, see the number and leave the market for good. Easy way to stay patience in may opinion.

In case you have a big portrait of a cryptocurrency, then you find it difficult to see the falling rate in the crypto exchange. The best way to calm down and relax is not to look for a crypto course within a few days. It really is hard, but it helps to relax and not to make easy decisions. Just think that a course will really rise again. And doing something that can distract you from a crypt. if it hopes it helps you.

Of a truth, patience is a virtue and sincerely, even though most people claim to have patience, they are not just too patient enough. In order to sustain adequate patience in this red market, I keep myself busy with other activities. I deliberately overlook my wallet till the positive days return. The more I keep looking at my portfolio, the more I get angry and the more I run out of patience. So, I keep myself away from my portfolio for now.

Now that the market is bleeding, our patience will be measured again and those hearts will start pumping so fast every time we look on our portfolios went down for more than 30%. Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?

when prices always go down, I never check the market again. I will spend my time away from Crypto, I will vacation with family, watch TV or play basketball. yes I will do all my hobbies, and without thinking about crypto. and I will check again after the green market.

It's easy to control your patience when you know the whales game.  He is there to emotionally wreck you and tempt you into a bad decision.  I have played the fool before.  Not anymore.  Patience comes form the knowledge of the game that is being played.

of course you have to do an investigation and always monitor every symptom of the market situation, this is not easy especially in the situation of any decline that occurs. one that can reduce losses is to trade quickly, or make a large-scale repurchase. so, you can do a lot of speculation and not just to be patient waiting for the miracle to come.

Yes this is the trying times for cryptos and for holders as well and if you have just few patience you'll tend to sell at loss. Though it's really frustrating to see how our portfolio went down yet this shouldn't be a reason to sell. So if we doesn't want to buy more, just stop yourself from seeing your portfolio to avoid unnecessary decisions.

I do keep reading about news and also when investing i trying to choose a coin with good future. When you invest in the right thing and you think its good for future, i believe you would be more calm in this bleeding market. I also recommend you to read more about crypto news and look at how crypto grow from the start. Just be calm and be patience, its takes a lot of training but it would really help.

Patience cannot be measured, patience is also emotionally dependent on yourself. If you choose an investment strategy in the long term, then don't look at the price of bitcoin at any time, because that can make patience thin.

It's always hard to have patience, above all when this patience is over stressed. My solutions: 1) I bet only what I can afford to lose (if you invest too much even a -10% can generate panic), 2) I try to choose carefully the projects upon which to invest. Mistakes are always behind the corner

I usually sell my altcoins and convert it to bitcoin to cutloss. I don't sell it in fiat because once bitcoin pumps up, I will get left behind. Normally Bitcoin goes up first before altcoins.

I really figured this one out. It really doesn't depend on how further down it goes, it just depends on the time it stays down. Now for example something can be 100 dollars and go down as much as 25 dollars or whatever in a week and I will be fine with it, however if it goes back up to 70 dollars (which is more than double so great) yet I can't have it back to 100 dollars for months than on about 6th month or so I start to get really sick of it.

Now, its only gone 30% from the initial entry point and it has seen 75% going down as well yet I draw the line only at around 6th month of no profit and not how further down it goes. It can worth 1 dollar all I care as long as it goes back to my prices in less than 6 months I will be fine but when it doesn't than I start to lose patience with it.

Staying patient is a challenge because life is very uncertain, and you don't know what may happen the next time though how much you plan or think the way things should be. However, we have to be, and I believe it's not going to be hard if you set your mind positively. If you don't allow negative thoughts affect your inner strength and to overcome fear is to be strong and brave. Relax your mind, focus on your goal, be your dreams, and if things don't turn out to be well then don't worry, go ahead change the plan and style but never the goal and vision. Life is not always at its best and we have to accept that reality for us to gain confidence and awareness to survive and learn from every experience.

Patience is the key. all of that requires an instant process and it takes a long time. my experience as our investor must be consistent with our stand that we will not sell our coins before the coin rises high. we must hold fast to our stand from the beginning we hold our coins so we will not regret it later.
if the coin we hold starts to fall you don't have to panic. because you have to remember in crypto that there is always an up and down price. when the price goes down there will be a rise. so be patient.

Now that the market is bleeding, our patience will be measured again and those hearts will start pumping so fast every time we look on our portfolios went down for more than 30%. Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?

If you got some more investment to invest then you can topup your current portfolio with good coins and just close everything and do some other work and dont see the market for some time. This is the only way you can keep yourself cool and keep yourself from panic selling in loss.

I am very patient, most of the rewards I get will be saved for at least 3 months, but I think patience is not the best, because of patience and may lose many good selling opportunities!

I am ready to wait as long as it is needed - up to the time when the cryptos I have will start giving me the returns. As a rule, I am holding the altcoins for 6-7 months, or even more but I invest in top-20 alts.

I have a lot of patience actually, in the recent years I have had to discipline myself to be patient when I have looked at the market and watch bears come and go and give way for bull markets. Now I just place price targets on all of the coins that I have and wait for however long it takes the coins to get to that price target before I sell off any of my coins.

I think patience is linked to the amount of money you have invested and the risk associated with it, for example, I only invest what I have left over after I pay bills, food, some entertainment out and my 401k, so I don't worry too much that the market is in red now and I don't panic, that means more opportunities to invest, what always makes me curious are the people who sell now in such a low market, what are they thinking?

I agree that it is necessary to be patient about cryptocurrencies. Sometimes you could be almost forced to sell coins. But be cold-minded. You are not a trader, I suppose so. You are holder, patient holder.

Maybe I know that it's too late to sell them all but I don't wanna do that, I believe in this crypto world that why I keep holding and try to wait although ETH which I'm holding is dumping to under $300.

But according to the current market, I think it will continue to fall so I don't care.
I will eat, drink, and play, maybe a few months later the bull market will come.

My patience is is wearing away, I've been patient for so long. It's not been easy waiting since December last year for a bullish trend only for the market to be going lower. I've even regretted waiting this long. It would have been better to take a little loss and continue, instead of waiting this long only to see a deeper loss. Its getting unbearable.

Crypto currency is volatile so we should understand of what is happening now and as for me I can hold enough patience regarding this matter and all the market situation but not for those ICO admin that always give frustration for the promises they have made and with that I cannot assure where do my patience end maybe they can directly say something not favorable than give us expectation that have only made to be broken.

There are little options we have when it comes to dealing with the market happenings. We are left with little choice as there is nothing we can do to influence the market but rather to say patient and wait, for if you run out of it the only outcome will be losing money

Yes it is really true that patience is the virtue of people because it is the key to overcome our plan to have good future. But I tell it honestly that their is patience well remain but I don't know how much it because I cannot measured.

Patience is indeed a virtue and it is one that is critically essential for the survival of this market. We've seen a lot of persons cry out after selling a coin only for the coin to do better in the market, or a lot of others sell their coins as a result of panic and fear and later regret it. This could have been avoided these persons where patient enough. I don't know how much patience I have yet, but I think I'm still very far from reaching my elastic point.

I don't know how much patience I have, because I can't measure it. But I will hold my coins if the crypto market turns into zero. Last month I sold 11K Docademic coin only for 800 USD, after a few days later, 11K Docademic coin turned 3500 USD! Such a big loss I did. And then I promise myself that I will not sell my holding coins until I get a good profit from it.

I suggest you to not watching your portfolio when the total market is falling down. Just focus on the present and keep doing your job. After this bad time, the good time will come for sure.

Honestly, level of my patience to face the fluctuation of cryptocurrency's price is borderless. I try not to panic knowing the market condition and always positive thingking that the price of coins will be increase and more valuable. When the market in the red zone, like few days ago, i always keep my coins and don't sell that because i think my decision can effect for coins's value. When all the people panic and sell all their coins of course the value of coins will decrease, the other way around. I can control my patience with always think that i will get more profits for my patience.

Patience really is a virtue but with investments like cryptos you are going to need more than the average amount of patience to stick to the market. With so much volatility people are watching the value of their coins fall everyday and it can get hard to be patient with temptations to just sell the coins and cut your losses. This market is about to test how much patience we have.

In the bear period, what I do to control my self and handle my patience is to make sure I do not check my portfolio every day or even look at the flow of market. When I hear news or see recent updates about any of my coin, I just ignore and wait till the end of the week before I check how low it has gone but I do not panic sell because I know the market will recover and when that happens, the bull run will likely start.

I think tolerance is connected to the measure of cash you have contributed and the hazard related with it, for instance, I just contribute what I have left over after I pay charges, nourishment, some diversion out and my 401k, so I don't stress excessively that the market is in red now and I don't freeze, that implies more chances to contribute, what dependably makes me inquisitive are the general population who offer now in such a low market, what are they considering?

Yes, patience is a virtue but we can't prevent the fact to worried the long bull run in the market, I think it's much better to avoid greediness and emotions when in terms of doing such trading or other else in order to maintain more stronger enough to hold our coins. It's right! I also think so, patience is the key to success. And we know that cryptocurrency loves the strong in spirit. And smarter to withstand and learn to wait. Always lead to success and profit.

It seems to me that everyone who comes to the cryptocurrency market should by default believe in them unconditionally. This market is able to surprise, this is only the initial milestone of its development and the one who will believe to the end will be rewarded.

At any time, patience has no limits, because if you have patience, there are limits to it, not patience.
Until you return to the profit period in trading cryptocurency, there you also have to be patient with your profits, or if you are not patient, your money will be spent without any hardship.
patience will provide many benefits for anyone who is an investor in crypto. we know that in the long run bitcoin will rise, we know patience will make you more calm and not easily panic. but even so, not everyone has high patience. OP is right to say that how much patience do you have? because that would illustrate your benefits in crypto then

Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?
When the red market and coin prices decline. Surely a lot of people start to panic and are confused about what they will do later, so some people will choose to sell it because they panic if the price decreases again. When the market goes down don't panic, observe and analyze what makes the price of the coins you hold fall and whether the coins still have the potential to recover and give you a profit, don't be in a hurry in making a decision to sell them.

Indeed patience is a virtue. Especially if you are a trader you need patience ,and also to cut down on emotions. If you make the right choices of coins for trading, even if it dips, you don't need to panic sell, apply patience to it, and before you know it, price will rise back.

Patience is a very important attitude in any situation including when the market is bleeding. but I think this is normal in the market, because price fluctuations depend on demand and supply in the market, if I sell low it is the same as selling a loss. so I prefer to be patient and wait for the market to fully recover.

When BTC went down to 9.8k$, many people started panic selling with false predictions that it will touch 7k. Let's understand that the only time you lose funds is when you sell at loss when holding good coins. Those who held BTC from that dip till today are now rejoicing and the reverse is the case for those who dumped. Lesson from this is that patience is a virtue, it's highly applicable in crypto space.

It is not about patience but its all about knowing and understanding how the crypto market and the crypto ecosystem operates and the basic things that influences the change in the market price of most crypto coins. Investors need to know and understand how trading and investing work in the crypto ecosystem. With understanding, you know why the prices of cryptocurrencies keep changing...

Patience is a virtue, but it is only suitable for holders. For traders, sometimes they need a bit more reckless to maximize the possible profits. Fortunately, I have too much patience and I can't trade short term. I only buy and place sell orders in the selling area.

Patience is very important when it comes to cryptocurrency investment because it takes time for most of the projects to gradually follow the path of their road map. However, not all the projects are worth waiting upon because the project may lack what it takes to become successful on the market. This is why investors are always entreated to study the project before investing.

In my opinion, the current cryptocurrency market is doing just fine. Maybe a lot of altcoin prices are down but this is due to the strengthening of the price of bitcoin and also the dominance of bitcoin in the market which is already more than 68%. Maybe we should be patient to wait for the altseason to arrive in the future

Being patient is not always a smooth ride, it entails looking forward to the future which is hopefully going to be better. It wasn't easy holding up with the bearish trend of the market, but I'm glad that the market is getting better. Let's not give up on our hopes for a better experience in this industry, I'm positive that the best is yet to come.

If you have options like that it's still the right attitude towards this type of industry, you have to build trust with projects to invest your time and money, with enough patience you'll be able to get the right position and the right timing selling your assets in time that it's already needed you
to release your holdings or change it with other coins to divert your investment.

Only very patient and seasoned people can safely meet the turns that the market makes. But sometimes each of us lacks patience. Probably we all sold part of the cryptocurrency in 2018 at a very low rate without waiting for this year and its growth.

Where there is panic, I'll advice one to just take a time out to breathe because decisions made in panic are usually hazardous and one tends to regret it on the long run. Patience is one  ot those things c ryptocurrency teaches you. If only one has the patience to wait a little bit more, outcomes will definitely be different

When investing in cryptocurrency, you must set a goal: choose a long-term investment strategy regardless of price spikes or determine the border at which price you will sell cryptocurrency. And then you just have to be patient and wait and should not panic. Bitcoin prices fluctuate with a period of four years. But if you compare the price of BTC in 2017 year and 2010, then it has grown significantly)

When the price of the coin that you hold starts to fall, that's where your patience begins to be tested. In situations like this you must always be consistent in making decisions, so as not to experience a significant loss in investment. This might be a little boring, because we have to wait a very long time until the price rises again.
Remember, patience never betrays results. That's the principle that I always hold.

I personally to maintain patience by looking for other activities outside crypto. many panicked due to falling prices, and they often looked at charts. I think things like this will only damage psychology, especially for long-term investment

Patience is always there but we also need to combine with knowledge. then, we know what we are patiently waiting for, that is the right way to invest.
If patient and waiting for the price to increase while not analyzing, it is considered gambling.

If we already intend to invest for the long term, I think we can ignore price movements in the market. Long-term investment does require patience and if altcoin we hold has a good product, I think we will be more relaxed

Now that the market is bleeding, our patience will be measured again and those hearts will start pumping so fast every time we look on our portfolios went down for more than 30%. Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?
You should analyze the chart of the BTC before joining. BTC only reduced in the short term. In the long term, BTC still has a good growth. Don't worry too much about a discount, but keep a positive spirit. However, what I say is for reference only. You don't depend too much on it.

Have a nice day guy!!

Patience is always important for us especially in the cryptoworld. The market is unpredictable all we have to do is find a way to make it profitable.Maybe long term of investments is a choice.

My patience is very thing and short. The only thing that is keeping me sane in this market is the history of bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. I've seen btc go down and then bounce back up creating new ath in the process at different points in time since 2019. This gives me hope that this current phase will pass one day and we will all smile again

I am trying to find an opportunity of how to earn money even on the falling market. You can try arbitrage, because there are always some deals that can be done. Furthermore, margin trading is an awesome instrument to trade on crashing market. Keep working and you will get your cash.

No one can be as patient as possible. They will panic when prices fall too deep, or they will sell too soon when prices rise. You will never have the patience when you invest with your property, that's why there are so many people here who have lost money in the last 1 year.

You need all the patience you can afford in the crypto space, but this can only come to action when you are sure you are holding a good coin, that is why one must be very selective in picking so as not to hold a shitcoin or one that will exit the space.

I get the impression that cryptocurrencies and investments were invented in order to test people's patience for strength. Especially if you purchased your assets at the very top of the price.

Every competition was invented for that reason :D When you invest you compete with others because there's not enough for everyone. Not enough fiat money not enough natural resources and stocks even not enough homes.

Some people go bankrupt and some are homeless and you are fighting to get to the top. Without patience and intelligence you will not go far!

It's really hard to control if your portfolio is not spread enough that you still have a small profit from other coins, if you only rely on one coin and that coin started to dip you will be disappointed because all your hope rely on only one coin, it's different if you have a balance portfolio.
It’s a good idea to have variety of investments in our portfolio but it is also difficult nowadays to predict which of which among the altcoins are gonna give us hope. If we look at the suggestions and opinions other people in this forum have, they suggest to invest only in bitcoin because so far, it is the one that stood through the test of time and still at the top until now but like what you’ve said, it is still sad if you only have bitcoin in your portfolio specially during the time of famine (bear season).

Yes patience is the only key to our success,it is in our self attitude to do by waiting and make lots of patience in a long run for us to achieve the bright future.,
If we dont have that kind of ability"patience"we might be so loose all our hopes and possibilities to commit success.
