It is now evident that just cryptocurrencies is not sufficient to achieve the goal. We need a State at our side. But current States seek to preserve the old order. Post by: CryptoBry714 on August 15, 2018, 09:41:59 PM You never know if there is chance of new state to form in the future let alone, them accepting Bitcoin as their currency. Currently a lot of countries are legalizing cryptos and blockchain to use them to gain advantage or solve their existing problems. So, I think it would be a great idea for any of the country to accept BTC as their national currency.

It is now evident that just cryptocurrencies is not sufficient to achieve the goal. We need a State at our side. But current States seek to preserve the old order. State it is a community with uniform rules. Territorial principle don’t need for creation of the State in the 21st century. So what do you think what's to stop us to come together and creation a new State now? It is possible to happening. Bitcoin is a universal digital currency, although some countries still banning it, but everyone can accept bitcoin because it has high liquidity. To become a state, i think not easy to just using bitcoin only in the country. Fiat currency maybe needed, except all countries are not banning bitcoin anymore. Never mind that theory but I don't think that some state will embrace Bitcoin as a national currency because in economical way this is not possible. Territorial principle don’t need for creation of the State in the 21st century. So what do you think what's to stop us to come together and creation a new State now? The most acceptable option is to buy an island and already there to announce the creation of any kind of state. Another option is to coordinate opportunities with Ilon Mask and create a state on the moon. This will already be interesting in that the cryptocurrency created there will be on the Moon. Maybe bitcoin is very right now but the value of it is too high for a country make it their own currency. It is impossible for bitcoin to become a currency but it will be part of the system to help the real currency progress. Bitcoin is a world currency in a digital format, making it impossible to become the official currency of a country. Because a country's currency must have its form, physically real. Title: Re: Can Bitcoin become currency a new State? Post by: Rustamm on November 07, 2018, 05:17:14 PM Why not? If the state is united and share the same vision and perception about bitcoin or the cryptoworld as a whole, then it can be possible. It will lead to a cashless state governed by cryptocurrencies. These general phrases about building a state without a territory for walking Bitcoin cannot be used in practice. However, even if we assume that a separate state with its territory would be created, this state hardly existed for a long time. No economy of any state can operate on a decentralized cryptocurrency. There will be no relationship between cryptocurrency and the economy of this state; they will exist by themselves. Such a state cannot survive for a long time.Title: Re: Can Bitcoin become currency a new State? Territorial principle don’t need for creation of the State in the 21st century. So what do you think what's to stop us to come together and creation a new State now? I do not believe so that bitcoin would be the currency of a State for various reasons. First, cryptocurrencies are regarded by most countries as 'unstable' due to its high volatility in the market. Without having any material or tangible form, relying on digital data or gold seems doubtful for most countries. Unlike GOLD which is tangible and has an innate value due to its natural form, bitcoin has neither. Second, a country will only shift to a digitalized form of currency if other countries would accept transactions coming out from it. If most countries deny its existence by implementing rules that are prejudicial, then who would adapt it as their currency? Lastly, some underdeveloped and developing countries have limited access to the internet, which makes it difficult for access to cryptocurrencies (as they exist in the internet!). Although it may seem impossible for a country to make cryptocurrency as its means of exchange, maybe in the future once technology will embrace change on this aspect then expect bitcoin to be there at the top. The desire for current states to keep the "old world order" around will become much more clear in the future. For now they don't quite know what to make of bitcoin, don't take it seriously, are flexing their muscles to see if they can control it or are hoping they can find a way to profit off it. However, be ready for there to be plenty of backlash once governments realize that their real ability to control crypto currencies as a whole is very limited. (Some creative and enterprising people may solve some of the main issues that allow government interference with a currency or even bitcoin itself in the future). Creating a new state has the same issues; no one takes said state seriously or attempts to control it until they realize that it's something that can indeed become relevant. As such neither should be approached with haphazardness; if people are going to create a state they must solve the problems - regardless if Bitcoin or another crypto currency is their currency or not. Same is true with bitcoin and crypto in general. There's problems we must solve, such as adoption, ease of use, etc. To pull both off those who do it gonna have to think completely outside the box and be dedicated. Can both be done? Yes. I believe so. I'm gonna be one of the few that's gonna try to pull some of this off eventually; once I learn more so I guess we'll see how it goes.... :). Territorial principle don’t need for creation of the State in the 21st century. So what do you think what's to stop us to come together and creation a new State now? Post by: wahyu5 on January 06, 2019, 09:59:34 AM Bitcoin will be difficult to become the currency of a country, because the price is unstable and is decentralized, while a country needs a stable currency so the economy can run well and the government can run regularly. For me, bitcoin should remain like what is currently available, so that it is not controlled and always gets the trust of many people around the world and is able to give goodness to all of us in crypto currency.

Post by: flemmings02 on January 06, 2019, 11:36:18 AM If bitcoins are becoming more and more popular and widely used in the world, then it is possible Bitcoin is too unstable to become a country/state currency, meanwhile a country's currency also need to have some characteristics that bitcoin does not have for examples: It has to be stable, its value will be regulated and determined buy the government and the economic state of the country, all these features are not available in bitcoin which is why it will be far more impossible for it be a country/state currency. Most people prioritize cash rather than digital and also bitcoin is very risky if used massively in a country because its use is free and lack of regulation.

Post by: mornabo on January 06, 2019, 12:10:55 PM I don't know for sure whether it can become the currency of a new state but to my mind this is possible. I think it is a good way of becoming richer and financially independent investing in btc all that is possible. because we can also see that the longer each country is growing. so anything we don't expect can happen by itself. so we just believe that everything will work. because in this world no one can't. Agree on what mornabo said . every country has already have its own local currency or signature currency rather to represent thier own country . that can only be one but still bitcoin and cryptos can still be useable by any countries as long as it isnt restricted because cryptos are for everyone since it is online . why not? unless they use USD to determine BTC price, they should use BTC as payment method and not check it with USd . we do use local corrency unit as measurement in order for us to determine the price of btc and any other cryptos and its impossible to use btc or to know what the current value of it , if we dont use other currency . |
