Hi I am just new in the trading, I just want to ask how to overcome my fear in trading and what should I do to start trading. I also want to trade with a short term cause I need to earn daily for my daily needs can someone help me and give some that I used to start my trading now.

Firstly you have to use money that afford to loss, and then you have to learn technical analysis to determine support and resistance area to decide best are price to buy and sell. After that learn also about risk management to minimize the risk, like use stop loss whenever bought crypto, and you should be have monthly target profit.

Only allocate a very small amount for your trading as you're quite new, and as you're still in the learning stage. Just so it wouldn't affect you that much if you lose your trades.  You're very unlikely to make money while still starting out anyway.

To improve your mentality, you should first accept that everything is hard at first, but you will learn and get better overtime.
For trading, noobs are the most profitable sources for professional trades. You come to a trade get scared buy high sell low which give money to the rich and make yourself a failure. All of that is because of your mentality.
I would suggest you to read books first to improve your skills so that you'll be more confident entering a trade.

First, what are you afraid of? Losing your money? Not gaining sny profit? These two sre inevitable and you should just accept the fact that there is always a risk that comes with trading.

You should keep in mind that with day trading, there is much more risk compared to long term holding so you may want to have a separate money for your trading and your funds for daily expenses.

For me I am afraid that I might do a wrong transaction. I know that gor the beginner/newbies that it is too risky to do the trading. But if I already know how to do the trading then It will not be risky already but I do not know how will I start my trading. start by signing up on an exchange. find out which one you like best and you find most trusted with least risk of scamming you. but also beware that they will scam you eventually, that is what ALL exchanges will do.

second go to each market and watch the charts, see how they change. mostly focus on the history and see the volume and price change of each pump and dump that the altcoins had in the past and see if you can detect the signs. for instance the increased volume before they initiate the pump to shoot the price up to the moon.

third deposit some small amount of money like 0.001BTC and start trading with the experience you gained. i don't think you would miss losing $6! since it is too tiny. so you can overcome your fear while learning how things work.

and finally when you gained enough experience you can deposit a bigger amount and start earning for real.

If we look at the crypto market in broad ways the features are more than our thoughts but now it is our turn to make money with it and if we do things on right time we will not be the fear one people but we can be fearless in the life as well as now the big problems is money so we can start good business with bitcoin and if you are new to trade first you should examine the market and after some time you will feel good.

If you participate in trading that you still feel fear, you will always lose money. You need to continue to find ways to learn more trading experience from others or through information from Youtube, Google. With trading you are not in a hurry and never let emotions influence trading.

The more knowledge you have, the less fear you will have. Therefore, my advice to you: read more information, participate in trainings, learn to conduct market analysis and follow the news.

I have been having this same fear before and I will advise you never to put money in trade if this fear is not deal with as cryptocurrencies market is a very risky market and you can lose all you risk capital if you buy any coin at the wrong time and price.  Knowledge and skills is what terminate fear and you should never be discouraged in learning.

This is common nature of investor. They afraid to invest in bear market. In bull market there is more buying. But I think buying should in bear market. Secondly only that money should invest which is extra after daily needs. Because if there is require hold then it has no effect on daily needs.

I agree that trading requires investing money at your own risk, rather than instantly getting to profit from it daily. OP, from your post I can see that you are new, short on funds and nervous. I really think that trading is not the best choice for you right now. Trading is a hard thing to do and many people fail to gain anything from it. Bearish market trend is not helping as well. If you need money, you'd better find a job and return to trying trading when the market gets bullish and when you have some funds that you are okay to lose. To start knowing cryptos and opportunities with it, you can buy some from the top (btc, eth, ltc, neo etc.) and hold long-term. The risks are not as high as in trading this way, but daily profits are off the table, of course.

Jere is the thing you need to do to overcome the bad outcome or rather resuslts of being a trader who may fail.

1. It is to overcome it the failure so, in other words expect the unexpected of fail. Handle it
2. Due to failure do not panick and think of you will sell or hold you might regret it in the end.

One thing that would hinder you in trading objectively would be focusing too much on earning money that would make you greedy and would end up to more losses most probably. The first one to develop OP in trading is to have your emotions in check so that you can trade rationally and would follow your plan. As to how to overcome your fear, it would only be managed by trading always until such time that you will be used to it and can trade without minding your emotions.


Continuous learning is the key and you would not be able to acquire it in just a snap. It is a step by step process and you should have patience and not be rush when it comes to decision making. From OP's statement, it seems that he has no other source of income and he hopes that he can earn in trading and there is no nothing wrong with it but it would be very risky on his part because he would be emotional then. He should learn trading first without focusing that much on earning bigger profit because it will come naturally when he knows what he is doing.

If you want to make money in short term then you should do day trading with appropriate capital based on your trading pairs,if it is going to be bitcoin then you needs about $5000 to cover the commision and the transaction fee.You only can over come your fear by experiencing that what makes you afraid of.

I think you can overcome your fear in trading just by doing an own research so that you can easily learn it that can develop your strategy and can help you to minimize the risk of lossing a money in trading. It's hard for a newbie, Everyone has to go through that period. But after researching about this market, Understand how crypto works (at the basic level) and operations of the exchanges (put a sell and buy order), you can use a small amount of your money to start. Then use your fund if you're doing well!

Paper trading.

Watch & analyze the markets, make paper traders and see what the outcome is if you would've taken trade there. If it went south, analyze why. If it went as expected, analyze why.

Analyze -> execute -> analyze the outcome -> win or learn -> repeat untill comfortable with your own analysis.

After that and only after that i'd recommend you using money.

No reason to throw money away when learning how to trade when you can do it for free. The odds of you starting to make money right from the get go are very, very slim.

The way I see how you should overcome fear is to know the unknown. Thus, I would recommend you to read as many online guides around as possible (here's my favorite https://www.cryptocointrade.com/). Read about trading in general, about cryptos, their supply, mining, platforms they are in, how the market moves, where you can get news, and what instruments/strategies exist that can help you.
Once you nail that info down, learn how to do simple technical and fundamental analysis on your own and then seek out free ones out there (in the link I've provided, their Facebook group has those though simple for starters). As the last step before you trade, you have several platforms that offer free demo accounts. There, you can open up orders for free and trade with virtual money to get the feel. Once you can see several consecutive wins, start with small amount of money, like $100. Then, gradually increase as you make money. If you do not, then pause a bit, try again with everything.
Just make sure you do not fall into the trap of click-baits and do not listen to people that spout prices and numbers as if they are God-given to educate all of us.
YouTube also has plenty of traders that record their own activities, so these are good to look at from time to time ;)

I really think if you're entering into trading with a view to earn daily you might panic if you start losing. So, my advice is to only trade with what you can afford to lose and slowly build your way up.

Leave your money as if you loss all it all! That's the best thing you gonna think in starting trading. In that way, you could freely chose the coin you wanted to keep without hesitation. Just buy the coin leave it for a certain period of time and come back later when maket condition is healthy.

I agree.Long term holding might give you more assurance not to lose your money than expecting short term trading to give you profit.If you really want to overcome your fears,trade for profits and not with your emotions.Most of the time you have to take risks so you can expect greater gains in the future.

First, you need to keep in your mind that trading is risky and invest only in trading what you afford to lose because it is really hard to earn profits, second , you need to study , because trading need knowledge, third, you need to control your emotion and keep reading and research about trading.

Just make sure that you double check the address that you are sending your transaction to. As for a good trading market, check out binance. I personally recommend this because it's one of the few exchange I use in trading when I feel like to.

There's also Hitbtc, bitfinex, cryptopia for small coins, and yobit ( this site doesn't have a good customer support so beware in using this).

If you just want to start then it's not recommended to make trading as your source of income, trading especially in short term require a lot of experience and skills, and with using your money that you need for daily basis is a very bad idea, I think you better learn first and build your experience

To overcome your Fear you need to study and learn how to do the trading so that when you do it you will not be afraid of it. At first it is normal that you are afraid of the trading cause you are just a newbie and if you have started already you will know what you will do on your next trading. You can learn from the mistake that you will omit so do not worry if you commit a mistake at the first time.

I agree to what you have said but some other people are finding some ways to earn a daily profit with the trading. I have seen some others that making profit daily in trading. But as of now you cannot make a profit with the down market cause there are only a few who invest in the crypto  and it is causing the price to fall. We have to double our work to promote the crypto so that there will be increased in investing the crypto. It is not hard to promote the crypto other people if you know how to properly introduce it.

I believe that the real reason why you are afraid of trading is because you know nothing about it. If you have learnt and had a first experience on how it works, trust me you wouldn’t have any cause to fear.

Learn as much as you can and start by practicing but by bit until you are sure you are good enough to go on. A lot of people rush in trading their whole funds because they want to get rich overnight, but trading is not something you just dabble in all of a sudden because you will just dabble out the same way you came in.

Compared to all other FUD makes I suggest OP to actually go out and test the waters, right now is the best time to start trading because the market is at a dip right now and unlikely to go too far below, it can still go down of course this is finance but in the end there is absolutely no way it can drop as much as it did since December.

Some coins like nano or gvt or so has been going up and down lately, meaning the market has some movement in some places, your job would be to smell the bacon and see where it is getting cooked and when you find it before it goes up try to grab it. If you have the knowledge in trading then you should not be fear of trading and you know what transaction you should do but if you cannot overcome your fear then trading is not for you cause your fear will make you lose what you have invested and it will lead you to wrong transaction.

Even with using money you can afford to lose, you have to be sure you have a good knowledge and from the knowledge you have been able to get a good strategy to keep you going at least. Afraid of what bad happening or to lose your capital is a normal emotion and part of our life but to panic selling of what happened like the situation now in the market are not a good idea. Of course if you entered in crypto investment you need to control your emotion you need to know also the volatility of crypto.

Well, for me, I think it's mostly about the mindset. If you are serious with becoming a trader, you should embrace it's cons much like you embrace its pros. One should know as an investor that everything has its fair share of risks, especially in this market that actually has a lot of risks and doubts involved. Therefore, it should be part of your strategy or tactic to deal with losses and make sure that when those moments come that you don't give up easily and see why you had those losses.

For me trading will always be associate with fear specially in bear market
but you can add confidence in your trading if you are backed up with TA and FA and your preferred strategy

I fear you may not be going to profit more from day trading as you may need high capital in order to earn better results and you need to have better experience, knowledge, and skills to go for it you may try with small amounts of capital to gain those experience and knowledge, there are risks for day trading so be wary most especially for cryptocurrency due to its fluctuations, gain and build confidence by starting with legitimate coins like bitcoin, eth and more you will overcome that fear.

On bear market time we cannot accept the price changes and price fall we see in the market mate.

Uchiikina, you almost hit the nail on the head. It's not just fear you should be wary of, but it's emotions in general. If you want to start trading, you need to have a checklist and a set of rules. It also helps to be able to bounce your trade ideas off a group of like minded folks. I don't know how many times I've considered a trade, posted about it in the Discord group I'm part of, and had folks point things out that I missed and therefore saved me a bunch.

If you are having second thoughts on trading and and you think you lack knowledge in trading, but you still like to try, better start in small amounts to get the hang of it. I started in small amounts to in trading while studying the trends and use of different tools. Until I learned when si the best time to buy and to sell and when is the best time to hold. Better try to read a lot articles about trading too to help you get started.

You cannot be a trader if you're afraid, so the first question we need to answer is why you are afraid? Are you afraid because of the possibility of losing money? Because if that is the case then no one can help you, if you want to be a trader you need to accept the fact that every time that you make a trade you could lose money, if you cannot accept those risks then you should never trade.

Start with a small capital, with small money on stake it is not scary anymore.

You can avoid your fear in trading by investing very small amount or the amount which is completely affordable for you to lose,then just do trading just like the gambling if you don't have any knowledge but you will learn from your mistakes once you started but long term trading is good to start initially for the beginners.

I just want you to give a tip. This is what I always do. Before I do one thing, I firdt study it, and know everything I need to know as a beginner. Since I already knew it, I will be fearless. Another, do not be afraid to commit mistakes especially "losing" because we are not perfect. As we continue going, we will learn new things and we can use this things to earn and avoid losing.

Accept the facts that trading is risky and you can only lose or gain money anytime. Many experienced traders lost some big money before they gained substantial profits in their succeeding trades. Educate yourself first and use only money that can afford to lose while gaining some skills. You can overcome your fear if you are determine to succeed in trading.

I think, to overcome your fear of trading you have to believe in yourself, look for as much information and learn so that you will know that what you are doing is right and you will be able to get profit in trading

That's the only thing you have to do, believe in yourself because once you believe in yourself, you will be confident on what you will do.
The risk is always a big part in trading but you need to take and accept if you want to access on the reward, believing in yourself means you accept your mistakes and you correct it until you will become consistent.

Fear is not good when trading, people should not make decisions because of fear, or courage, some divination is OK, but mainly should focus on the facts without the emotions IMO.

the pressure will continue to be in trading and the key is that you remain calm and patient, enjoy this activity and do not become a pressure that requires you to win 100% because it is impossible. learn about market trends, analysis and also what news supports one of the coins that you will make a target for trading, then start trading and stay away from fear, emotion and greed for yourself

Trading is risky so as newbie you must lean more about it if you dont want toose your money. On your first stage as a trader it must be good if you use only small amount that you can afford so that if you failed it will not loose you everything. And also big help if you learn from others experience and believe on yourself  and never let your emotions affect you.

As a new in this digital market, I would like to suggest you before starting trading you need to learn basic knowledge from this forum or you may watch trading related videos on youtube. Then you should join in trading but you have to show patience and confidence with huge courage and have to be strategic in the trading business.

It wont be as easy as its said, there are some threads that may makes your fear become even bigger as there are some people share about their losses in trading. So it reading different threads wont affect your fear alot, what can make you lose your fear is yourself. Panic selling is terrible because people lose money, however holding your coins despite the huge evidence that the price is going down and that is not going to recover soon is an even greater mistake that is even more common than panic selling and it can be as devastating, so if anyone is in this market to try to make money please read a few books about it before you do it.

experience is very necessary in trading. when you just started, I think you should start from a small number. daily trading and long-term investments have risks. so it's better that you start with a number that you yourself can accept the risk if it befalls you. always trying to learn about speculation and market analysis. and also do not become a greedy person. when you get a moment to sell, it's better to sell immediately, even if you only earn a little. and start buying again when you feel the price is below and will rise again.

For beginner trader should be understanding first how to mininize the risk by use stop loss, and learn first to trade in demo account. After that if we trade on spot market , we have to learn about trend of crypto and by know that we will know when should be jump and exit. Emotions are always present, how you overcome fear from anything in your life, some people gave good advice long time ago, close your eyes (or don`t) and jump! You need to face it with your fears, only way to do it is to look your fear in the eyes, confronting with it with practice, day by day. Thats the point we can avoid the fear of risk with knowledge. you must learn more about trade, markets, and coins that you will buy. the more you understand and experience. the risk will be getting smaller and you can overcome that fear. the key is knowledge and experience..

First you must accept to yourself that you are willing to take the risk as a trader. Because if your not willing to take risk, your not belong here mate that's the truth. It is because traders are risk taker, then if you want to implement day trade, of course you must begin with learning about in trading form the basic things and more. Start with a small amount & practice. Thankfully, because coins can be split up (not stocks) and there's really no minimum amount (I guess this does depend on the exchange though), you can pretty much start w/ as little as you want.

Take a small amount (an amount you are willing to lose mind you) and get to it. If you succeed, awesome, keep working at it. If not, back to the drawing board.

I agree with your opinion, where to reduce fear in trading, especially for beginners, it must start with very little amount, when you are understand and find a good way to trade, then that's where you have to start with a large amount.
