With the price of bitcoin continuously going down, do you think that altcoins could be better right now than bitcoins? I trust that bitcoin prices will still rise perhaps next year, but with the price still going down, maybe altcoins have a better chance. What do you guys think?

Well, bitcoin price isn't continuosly going down, I mean, it dropped a lot in the past few weeks but it is definitely recovering, I think it is still the best option for long term investments, altcoins on the other hand, have still a tendency to drop but with fluctuations so they are still suited for daily trading schemes.

altcoins have their on platforms and projects. bitcoin was the first generation plaform for the internet payments and after that ethereum introduced the concept of smart contract and after that different altcoins used ethereum blockchain to use the smart contracts..


in the current scenario altcoins are not that risky to buy because market is in dip and you can make some bucks with the proper trading strategy  

I don't think altcoins is better than Bitcoin right now. Cause bitcoin is now rising and if it rise like 2017 then altcoin investors will miss it. Also there have some chance of fall altcoins price. So bitcoin is the best choice for invest now.

Right now doing trade is risky because of the bitcoin price dump. But if you are good in trade than its easy to make some money at this dump season. Why would you say that altcoin is better than bitcoins? Look, if bitcoin price drop the altcoin price too will be affected so if you sell bitcoin and trade it to altcoin the price of altcoin won't increase but increase of holders and the price of bitcoin can be drop because you sell your bitcoin that can affect the value of altcoin.

I don’t think altcoins are better than bitcoin atm. From my observation, altcoin prices dip harder whenever Bitcoin price dip. If you are buying altcoins during this dip, it is better.

Actually, this year bitcoin has performed better overall than almost all alts.
Of course, everything is down compared to last Jan. but btc has stabalized and its market share has actually grown this year.

What this means is that when the market crashes and there is a prolonged bearish sentiment, people go to something they can trust.
This has made it so that btc has never dropped to the 5000 usd price range.

When you look at things short term, it may seem like alts perform better.
When there is a pump some alts jump as high as 15 to 20%.
But its important to look at how far it crashes after a correction.
Those alts that pump well almost all fall right back to where they were or even more.

It's very hard to say no as the entire alt coins are struggling to bump. Unless Bitcoin bull run starts because if BTC start to bounce other alt coins grow slowly. If it dumps then entire alt coins go down. Very hard to predict and market is not like last year. But still no need to panic if you have invested in altcoins this may bounce back again.

I think that there will be no clear answer,it is better to buy bitcoin and several altcoins.

First of all, BTC is not going down, it has been at a stable pace in the last couple of days. Secondly, when BTC goes down, so does all the other coins in the market. They are called alternative coins for a reason because BTC is the best one in the market so far.

I won't say that alts in general is better than Bitcoin, but rather, only on some aspects. When it comes on the market value of cryptos, surely, Bitcoin would always has a place above or among fellow cryptocurrencies in the market. I believe that we can not say  bitcoin is better than altcoins and vice versa. Bitcoin is a more stable asset, altcoins have recently appeared in the crypto market , so their position is weaker. I believe at the low end of the cycle Alt coins are better than Bitcoin as they allow you to make larger gains.  If your clever enough you can ride these cycles and increase your Bitcoin with no fiat inputs.  Alt coins will be around forever for the very reason you can increase your stack with them.

The fact is that today it is impossible to give a firm preference to altcoyin or Bitcoin in particular. At least the current state of the crypto-currency market gives opportunities to invest cheaply in different directions, including bitcoins and several altcoin names. You know that almost all the cryptocurrencies' price is dropping nowadays including bitcoin. On the other hand, Bitcoin price is still higher than all other currencies. So, you can choose altcoins. Because, there are many good altcoins that can make better return of your investment than bitcoin.

Everytime I see Bitcoin dropping in price I see the altcoins dropping by a greater amount so at the present time it looks like you will lose a greater percentage of your pot by being in altcoins. When things turn around however and Bitcoin starts rising you should see greater percentage gains from the altcoins. So I think the timing of when you buy your alts will be key.

I know bitcoin hasn't been doing well lately but BNB has held it's own pretty well through this bear market. Wondering if we will see a nice spike due to the October coin burn. Past results always had a spike 6 to 4 weeks before the burn date.

But so far it hasn't moved. I'm waiting for this...
