However, in the past ETH decline and many bad news about ETH constantly appear, the trust of some investors to ETH lost.

I said yes for that. in fact remember EEA has so many members and you can see how fast it was recovering again from the bottom. it has a lot of chance compared with another crypto. that said ethereum still become the main crypto that need to be considered as the best alternative altcoin to the bitcoin. investors will always try to buy that

Yes, I think that Ethereum will still show itself only from the best side and if you need some confirmation that this coin is not just popular with people and on the basis of Ethereum created a lot of projects and programs already and some of them have already shown themselves as independent processes! I think you should keep patience and wait for things to settle!

Trust is still there today, ETH has the potential to bounce back in this bear market trend, I personally strongly believe in ETH because it has achieved good achievements among other altcoins, it's only a matter of time when we will return to the bull market, maybe that can happen early next year, very ambitious people in the next year we will go back up especially for ETH, don't worry about other people's arguments, trust is always built as time goes by.

In my opinion, yes, because ethereum and bitcoin are the most stable coins on the market and it is obvious that you should invest in them and if you invest in them, in most cases you won't regret about that.

Ethereum is best coin for long term investment then along with that we will be able to find the more profit  I really admire that the way how the bitcoin and ethereum bumped in the last year but drastically bitcoin and ethereum bot fall down much more this year.

Hi, Seem like so many people believe in Ethereum and invest in Ethereum. You can see last week, the ETH price deeply drop lower than 150$. And sometime Ethereum network have some issue with transfering. In my opinion, ETH is a good Coin but i choose EOS for long time.

Despite the fact that the price of ETH reached$ 150, I believe that it is very underestimated. This is an ICO platform and when the market changes then ETH will be worth several thousand dollars.

I would not call it the number one but it surely is one of the best bet for safe profit. No investors buying Ethereum below $250 would ever be unsatisfied with it's performance. It's time to buy more Ethereum and other alts.

maybe, but not a few also gave up. on average they only surrender are new investors who joined Crypto this year. they suffer losses due to buying when eth is rising. but for those who know ETH from ethereum price of $ 11. this is a good time to buy ethereum at a cheap price. and I'm sure those who give up will surely regret it in the future. because of panic seeing this situation.

Of course this is only a temporary fall of ETH, It is still the best altcoin still ranked 2nd in this market. In the future when the market recovers, ETH will go up with the market and good opportunity for us to buy it at cheap rates like 2017.

I don't know if it's still number 1 since I don't follow the programming scene very closely, but I know that there are other options that many ICOs are using as a development platform, like EOS, Elastos, Waves, NEO, all these are good alternatives, but I'm still not sure if they can replace ETh, since ETH has been tested more than once and therefore remains in comfortable position.

Ethereum is still rock solid and safe to invest. But If you want to make some money, it's better to invest in some altcoins. So if ethereum hits 4x from this point, altcoins will hit 8x.

Really Yes in my opinion, People should wait for Sometime for things to do settle. Eth is not just popular among people although on the basis of that lots of projects are going on. Eth still have potential.

I believe Ethereum is the #1 choice of investors and at these prices are an absolute steal.  I cannot believe I can purchase Ethereum under $200 it doesn't even make sense compared with the sentiment we all had just 6-8 months prior.  Wild ride. 

Ethereum is still very much a long term investment option for me, but to say the truth, it is not my number one choice. No hard feelings whatever, and no specific reasons for my choices really, but it is not just it. I have other options I would rather place at that position, instead of ethereum.

Right now there is no question that Ethereum is down and it can be attributed to many factors. The biggest one is that it has become a victim of its own success...the Eth has been the prime choice of the many to do business with many ICO projects which have been in multitudes lately but for the past some months we know that the ICO market is not the same as of last year and there had been a heavy conversions of Eth either to cash or other cryptocurrency which eventually reduce the demand and flood the supply. I am agree Ethereum is option number 1 for long term investment but after Bitcoin , because no one can beat Bitcoin right now , many people choose investment in Ethereum, because Ethereum is cheaper than Bitcoin, so the possibility of generating profits has more opportunities .

I think the reason for the sharp decline in ETH was that there were a lot of ICOs last year and most of them were done via the ETH platform. Now, there was a turnaround and many ICOs have kept their income in ETH, in order not to suffer total loss, they sooner or later had to sell their ETH to continue to pay their employees. I think this is the reason for the sharp decline of ETH, but this is not the Ethereum offers a poor platform.

Ethereum has changed the investment landscape in cryptocurrency,  we have seen successful project taking off from Ethereum platform and people will not gamble their hard work and funds on a platform that is not stable.  Ethereum has been successful with it's platform so far!

I think, Eth is no longer the investment choice No. 1. I prefer to invest in coins that have never been Hardfork, because when Hardfork will happen, that's where we make big profits.

I think it is number 1, although bear trend hasn't changed and we still get lower then 170 dollars! My thought we will touch 140 dollar price and after that we will change trend to flat for a while and from there we will start to change to the bull run. When (not "if") the whole crypto market starts growing, Ether will be increasing at the much higher rate because 90% of projects existing or upcoming build their tokenomics around ethereum blockchain.  ETH is like silver on global economy and bitcoin is like gold. In times of downtrend investors avoid the risk and buy (or not sell) bitcoin (=gold), but in times of uptrend silver (=ETH) is needed to support growing global economy.

I don't think so. Now there's a competitor which is Ripple. Ripple proves its existence in the cryptocurrency world and worth to be considered for. Both ETH and Ripple are good options. So we just have to wait until the time determine all.

I don't know how long you have been in the Crypto world but Ripple actually came before Ethereum. Ripple was released probably sometime in 2012 or 2013 or so and Ethereum didn't do their main-net launch until late 2015.

I don't think they are similiar even. Especially since XRP is completely centralized and ETH at least tries not to be with all the GPU miners around the world.

ETH issue right now is basically due to ICOs selling and people are panic selling because they either bought the top at $400 a year ago or bought the top $1400 a few months ago, when it went below $200, along of people panic sold thinking it would get into double digits.

Another issue is all the miners who bought GPUs for $1000 a pop and are stuck mining with them making $0.50/day and dumping those coins to reclaim some of their investment money or just pay for electricity.

Regardless of the comparison of the two for its market cap still bitcoin is the considered the best. Bad news came for Ethereum because of those ICOs that collected thousands of Ethereum's and were put into sale and the market reacted quickly with it.

On my side that was very unpredictable because once you've entered on cryptocurrency better you had #1 on your mind before invest your money. Don't choose on the choices because that is not good for investment money. Me, Since I discovered this crypto I really loved ETH, I don't care about BITCOIN either that one was so very famous.

The decline of eth is caused by the fall of bitcoin but the fall of eth did also cause for the ico to decline . ico investors might loosen up a bit but not the eth and btc investors because they are aware that both coins are legit and the fall is only normal not unlike to ico's that the fall can become permanent and can lead to scamming  .

Here are some of my opinion regarding the price drop of eth.  Eth has become trending when ICO last 2017 hit the market. Lots of ICO, prefer eth payment to purchase their token so many investors buy eth the reason why it pump so hard.

Now that ICO is fading and replace by IEO, I think the competiton becomes tight since most exchange prefer their own token to participate on their IEO. Meaning the investors eth or btc will be used to buy this hence price of this will drop.

I think so. I filled my pocket at at the price point of 80$-100$. Ethereum is always one of the best project in this market. It is the most used and most popular platform till now. But the competition is bigger now and in this market there are many project which is better than ethereum technically. But they also did some progress they already worked on the hard fork and they announced that they will be solve the scalability issues. I believe that btc is the number one investment option for both the old and the new comers of crypto, most people just only invest on btc while others want to diversify their portfolio and include other potential coin to balance their portfolio and definitely eth is one of them.

The choice on ethereum, might be subjective, in the sense that, if someone likes ethereum, it is for a particular reason, which might not be the same as another person. There are those who prefer other coins, like bitcoin. Personally, i like ethereum, but for some reasons, i do not have it at the moment.

In my opinion, the long-term investment option Number 1 is and always will be Bitcoin. Yes, of course, I am holding ETH as well, but for me, the safest investment in cryptocurrency is still Bitcoin.

All coins are good for investing, the most important is choosing the right and potentially profitable coins.
and for the current situation all green coins go up, and I personally prefer to invest in bitcoin and Ethereum to invest because the best and most expensive cryptocurrency coins are very profitable, the most important thing is to buy them when the price is cheap to invest.

i will go for tron or BNB . i personally prefer these two than eth. seems eth good too but the price won't go for that high than bnb or tron. Tron and BNB still on low price too

Personally I will not say Ethereum is the best among other cryptocurrency,their are other best performing cryptocurrency in the market and other forth coming once,what matters most is picking up an opportunity for a perfect investment choice.
