Title: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Zabzab9 on September 21, 2018, 12:00:51 AM Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency.
If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society. What are your thoughts? Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: ralle14 on September 21, 2018, 03:03:47 AM On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency. You're only looking at the bright side, you have to look at the cons too when someone like Satoshi suddenly reveals his/her/their identity. If Satoshi decides to show up, his life will be more riskier than usual knowing that he has a lot of Bitcoin in his wallet. This would put more pressure on Bitcoin now that people knows he's out there. Some could even hunt him down like the government and force him to do things that would destroy Bitcoin. It's best for him to not reveal his identity and if he wants to develop Bitcoin he could just use a different alias. If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society. What are your thoughts? Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: betty11 on September 21, 2018, 03:23:58 AM There is no need for Satoshi to reveal his Identity, as many factors may play against him but not the bitcoin, as to why he invented something that is beyond the control of the government and a threat to a centralized system. As we write, bitcoin has gone beyond Satoshi himself. There is certainly nothing he can do about the bitcoin network now, as the control of the entirely network is not resting on any sole body or person. So staying anonymous is okay. Lets stop and think for a moment: "The name Satoshi Nakamota is more of a mystery than one could easily decode". It's just like the author of "The Mafia Manager" called the V, who is reputed to keeping a several residence, and whose present residence is a guided secret.

What are your thoughts? his mindset was not really about staying hidden and worried about authorities arresting him for counterfeiting. yea it was a concern in 2008-2009 for him. but it wasnt why he left in 2010-2011. he wasnt so much caring about identity. for instance he never commented to halfinney, mike hearne, gavin andressen, etc that they should be careful about using their real names. parts of his final few months were more about not wanting to be the head decision maker he didnt want to review peoples code and vet what should go in or not. he didnt want the fame/leader role. he didnt want to be the go to guy. he wanted people to develop their own code and work as united to discuss the best options available and to develop code that would acivate if everyone (majority) used it so i dont think he will come back and try to declare leadership. if anything he is probably already involved some where offering tips and tweaking code or spotting bugs or submitting proposals like other do. but just using a new pseudonym Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Sinone on September 21, 2018, 04:00:54 AM I don't think Satoshi should reveal his identity! Why he should? Bitcoin is going smoothly, if he reveals his identity then many governments will hunt him down. And some country can catch him to down the bitcoin and crypto market totally. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: mk4 on September 21, 2018, 04:00:59 AM Satoshi Nakamoto revealing himself/herself/themselves would bring an effect to decentralization. One of the reasons why bitcoin is so great compared to other cryptocurrencies is that bitcoin doesn't have a sort of CEO or an entity that's higher among the others; making bitcoin significantly more decentralized.
Satoshi revealing himself/herself/themselves wouldn't bring anything positive to the space anyway, besides just satisfying people's curiosity on who Satoshi is. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Cryptomania843 on September 21, 2018, 04:25:42 AM So far it has only had a positive effect of not knowing who Satoshi Nakamoto is. Bitcoin has evolved and we do not need to do a study of its developer. Effect of the unknown just to play in his favor. I do not think Satoshi Nakamoto will ever reveal his true identity. It exists and it is enough. Some people have an idea of who it may be because this new idea of Blockchaine was already in the head of 3 people.
Finally the suspense continues and all the better. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: MarjorieZimmermanGinger on September 21, 2018, 04:32:47 AM Satoshi Nakamoto revealing himself/herself/themselves would bring an effect to decentralization. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Cacheof on September 21, 2018, 05:31:00 AM I do not see any reason why satoshi should reveal him/her self, after creating this digital currency I think he went anonymous so the currency would continue to remain decentralized, with no one to be pointed out as the "president" of the technology.
I think he's decision should be respected as his return could draw undue attention to himself and lead to some unwanted changes in the bitcoin system. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society. What are your thoughts? There's no value in knowing the identity of Satoshi. Only bad things can come of it -- pressure from governments, threats on his life, etc. Bitcoin is much better off without some figurehead like Ethereum has with Vitalik Buterin. Having no founder/leader removes one possible attack vector. I'm also an advocate for privacy. He/they should just be left alone. I think revealing your identity when you handle this type of technology is somewhat dangerous, being the founder you must have atleast 20% of the total coin volume or maybe less or more, then if you reveal your identity you can be easily targetted by thiefs or worst will die and lose everythingIf this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Viper_Unleashed on September 21, 2018, 07:41:04 AM There are always pros and cons to everything.
Remaining anonymous is the best thing.Already hackers scammers fraudsters and may be few monsters are out there looking for him. ;D Its very obvious the technology developed and already affected many lives and will be affecting many more. It is very obvious that you have also interacted or traded with him :D : Found a nice inspiring line :- Many have speculated that Nakamoto may be a group of people who pooled their knowledge in order to create the system. Today, the preference for anonymity has gone by the wayside and most developers of crypto projects are much less secretive about their personnel. This may have a lot to do with the need for transparency as the cryptocurrency space becomes saturated with scams or the need to be seen as a successful entrepreneur to inspire investor confidence when doing an ICO. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Kristoph on September 21, 2018, 07:43:26 AM BTC is great! However, what do you thing about stable coins? Have you heard about Nebula Network? The popularity of bitcoin is increasingly popular, the poem was founded in 2009 by a mysterious man named Satoshi Nakamoto. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: anafiene on September 21, 2018, 09:00:45 AM Until now it remains anonymous, but one day there must be someone who revealed this Satoshi Nakamoto, however this discovery is extraordinary, and certainly will be included in the list of technological discoveries and become a history that will not disappear.
It is also natural if you are still anonymous because this is certainly more difficult to express because many are eyeing it and becoming uncontrollable public scrutiny. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: sakahayang on September 21, 2018, 09:16:50 AM In my opinion, it's better to remain Anonymous. If the identity is known to many people, many will hunt down the system and will become individual property. if it has become an individual property it will be very expensive to be able to have Crypto.
Identity is not told to everyone, because the creator of Bitcoin does not want to sell the system to anyone. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: ShowOffoN on September 21, 2018, 09:28:23 AM Bitcoin has already been able to establish itself with the people knowing that the founder is Satoshi regardless of his anonymity so I prefer to have him remain as is. Revealing himself at this point may be too dangerous for himself plus it could have some legal implications too.
Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: ibininja on September 21, 2018, 10:01:22 AM There is absolutely no good reason for Statoshi to reveal him or their identity. First off the development of the blockchain is happening regardless of statoshi's identity. He or they set the first blocks and decided it to be open source. People took it from there. Now another point to consider is that satoshi might even be an organization but it does not matter.

And that will continue to be a conversation, perhaps also avoiding things that are less desirable.

Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: bitcoindusts on September 26, 2018, 03:23:00 AM There really lies a lot of theories about Satoshin Nakamoto, and yes, revealing his true identity have their benefits from giving him proper acknowledgement to making his creation better in form and function.
Yet, in my own belief, his true identity unexposed was something that brought good more than damage. Being unknown, the world embraced bitcoin as it is. Because of his non-existence, we had no choice but to try its feature along with the flaws and we we're okay with it. Imagine if Satoshi Nakamoto is around till date, the world might simply be throwing him lots of comments and suggestions and complaints instead of actually utilizing the bitcoin. His silence proved to be a good thing really. But i my self would really love to see the day when Satoshi Nakamoto is finally unmasked. There's a huge possibility that Satoshi is one of the first miners of bitcoin and he could have accumulated thousands of bitcoins just from that since there's not much miners before and the reward was still higher. Think about it. He was able to create this whole technology which seems to be ahead of his time, don't you think he would be able to think of what's going to happen after it was released? He thought it well how he's going to remain anonymous but still be able to enjoy the fruit of his labor. You can't just create something and not make it beneficial to you at all. He's probably somewhere enjoying his wealth. He could have also created a script that distributes his mined bitcoin so it will not be in just one address to remain even more lowkey about it. One thing's for sure, he's out there just watching us. Just watching his creation grow. Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). I definitely fail to see the correlation of Satoshi exposing himself and the government or the people trusting cryptocurrency. It's not like Satoshi is going to cast a spell and suddenly everyone's now well-informed about cryptocurrency. Exposing himself will just result to death threats from big players and probably assassination. He's out there having the time of his life. There's zero need for him to expose himself unless he wants to toy with the community. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: maculeth on September 27, 2018, 12:25:13 AM I myself still believe that Satoshi Nakamoto from Japan is the inventor of bitcoin. Part of my view is the same as yours. Pseudonymity has been an inherent part of crypto, thus, the creator set a good example in this respect. To prove that our real world identity is really not necessary to operate bitcoin, he drove the nail home with perfect conviction. And everyone else can follow suit as it is proven to be effective. Nakamoto is the current holder of bitcoin the most. A lot of articles that I've read says that Satoshi Nakamoto holds the most Bitcoin. Before he left the Bitcoin scene, they said that he mined a million Bitcoin. That is the reason he is considered the number one rich person because of cryptocurrency. Because of that also, the theory of Good and Bad Satoshi was made. They said that Satoshi might use those Bitcoins to control the market, if in Good Purpose, he will be holding the BTCs for lower total supply making Bitcoin higher demand while if it is bad, Satoshi will be selling those number or huge amount of Bitcoin to the market when the price pumps making a huge dump. We just assume that a group of programmers or a individual person named "Satoshi Nakomoto" programmed the scrypts and invented bitcoins to carry out anonymous transactions. Perhaps bitcoins were introduced as a anonymous currency and was mostly used in illegal works so thats why the owner of bitcoins or the one who invented bitcoins is not revealing his identity. Well said! Satoshi's identity is unnecessary now, and can only serve to satisfy the curiosity: "how does bitcoin inventor look like?" Revealing his identity now may just end up endangering his life. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: prikitiw on September 29, 2018, 02:50:19 PM Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency. I think Satoshi Nakamoto is the name of a Bitcoin inventor, but he did not create it alone, I'm sure he owns a great team that doesn't want his identity to be known. If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. I think, today many rules would be put on him or he used to make it to the wrong people to use it according to his use. Whether it was prepared or a country could use it all at the same time as its own private property. Then might be direct impact fell on the bitcoin or perhaps it would have ended or its price would have been completely drowned. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Hiroyuki879 on October 05, 2018, 11:05:41 AM One of the biggest mysteries in the technology world is the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the computer programmer who invented the digital currency bitcoin.
Experts agree that uncovering Nakamoto's identity could have an immense impact on bitcoin's economics and internal politics. Nakamoto is believed to possess about five percent of the entire cryptocurrency. Today, that stash is worth over $5 billion. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: guybrushthreepwood on October 05, 2018, 11:19:10 AM Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency. He probably does or did want to remain anonymous due to the spotlight that would inevitably be shined on him and all the pressures that come along with that. E-Gold is completely different though. That was a centralized service. Bitcoin is the opposite. Even if Satoshi's identity was known, it's not like they could go after him and try get him to shut bitcoin down because it's just not possible (but maybe he didn't want the stress and hassle of the government even trying). Bitcoin is out there now and I think satoshi just wanted it to become its own thing naturally without any further intervention needed from him. If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society. What are your thoughts? I disagree. What's the logic behind him being publicly known helping the development of bitcoin or regulation thereof? I don't see how it would make a difference whether he was known or not, but I can't really see anything positive coming from it. People would attack his character and background, and also probably rely on his opinion too much and who's to say he's even happy with the direction bitcoin has gone in? He may want to steer bitcoin in a direction some are unhappy with, or the state could try put pressure on him to try push it in a way that they favor. I think it's best he just remains as he is as bitcoin is doing okay without him and that's probably how it should be. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: zazarb on October 05, 2018, 11:35:03 AM Yes, if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity, it might turn out that such a solution would be good for this market, but this is not true. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: kaizerblitz on October 11, 2018, 11:54:45 PM There is no need for Satoshi to reveal his Identity, as many factors may play against him but not the bitcoin, as to why he invented something that is beyond the control of the government and a threat to a centralized system. I agree with that satoshi nakamoto identify could not be just reveal i feel good to be anonymous and be mystery to everybody it is not big deal to know who is satoshi nakamoto. The reason why satoshi did not reveal his identity is because he was afraid that he could be incarcerated for creating bitcoin, if I remember correctly close to the time when bitcoin was created there were several currencies that were centralized that were destroyed by the governments by using excuses and they put their creators behind bars, so if satoshi still alive I really think that he should never reveal his identity.Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: entebah on October 17, 2018, 11:30:01 PM The founder of bitcoin is clever and genius that he make this awesome idea. I deeply think how he create bitcoin and now becomes popular of some countries. And about his identity, I am satisfied that I know his name thats it, no more arguements.:) This is a huge mystery that has not been solved to this day about the existence of Satoshi Nakamoto the founder of Bitcoin. But in my opinion this is a super success in this century that is creating a Blockchain and Bitcoin technology to make it easier for everyone to transact. The existence of a bitcoin founder I prefer to always be anonymous, this shows that the founder of bitcoin really understands that he is better off hiding from the big heart.Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: White Christmas on October 17, 2018, 11:39:26 PM The founder of bitcoin is clever and genius that he make this awesome idea. On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency. The founder of bitcoin I think this is not good ice to know the founder of the bitcoin .every people have a private matter if it is a private no one dares to know his/her private life his/her private I to remain anonymous to everyone . we didn't know that what will happen if he/she reveal his/her identity . If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society. What are your thoughts? On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency. If I were the creator of Bitcoin, I will surely remain unknown. Keeping my identity will be the best thing to do. I wouldn't want the authorities to be knockin' on my door every once in a while. I wouldn't want to carry to whole crypto space on my shoulder having thousands depending on me. I wouldn't want to put my life on the line! Exposing my identity to the public will be a life sentence on me and my loved ones for sure. These "men in black" will surely find a way to get hold of me and drag me into one of their bunkers. So, do you still think it would be wise for Satoshi to reveal himself to the public? If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: lingwistiko on November 02, 2018, 01:44:57 AM Claims about revealing their identities as Satoschi Nakamoto is already emerged a couple of times already. But i think it's irrelevant to know who Satoshi Nakamoto is. What's my concern is that the creator should do something new to improve bitcoin and its blockchain system.

He had even shown evidences that he launched the currency back in 2009. https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-36185280/bitcoin-creator-reveals-his-identity
If it was indeed true, I don't think it made any difference anyway. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: stigmacryptonight on November 02, 2018, 10:22:21 AM When the creator associated with Bitcoin discharge their Identification at the moment, might end up being in order to their drawback because federal government internationally with the global financial institution may police arrest him or her being a person developing a foreign currency with no authorization, plan as well as legislation permitting the actual development associated with this kind of foreign currency prior to this is often carried out, Personally I think this may be considered the main reason he's hibernating all of this many years.
Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: bgaf on November 02, 2018, 12:45:01 PM I think it is too dangerous for Satoshi Nakamoto to reveal it's self.
I guess he/she is happy and contented with the life he/she have now, Peaceful and quiet no media or anything to bother them including his/her family of course. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: kabum21 on November 02, 2018, 07:01:38 PM These last few months I've tried to read all the information I could about Satoshi, since his creation, bitcoin, seems to be simply amazing, and I think it will revolutionize the world, from what I've read, I think his reason for disappearing, was that the project was becoming very dependent on him, many collaborators saw him as a deity, and they didn't make any movement without his approval, so I think from their point of view, the project was centralizing, which was against their own philosophy.

Yes, you do have the point on that and many people also relies on the credibility of this type of currency depending on the people or person who have founded it if he is credible enough to put their trusts on or not. But on the part of the founder, maybe his main concern is not to totally reward or credit himself on doing such thing that is why he is keep his identity to be anonymous until this point of time. Sort of, privacy is his main concern for the fact thar whenever this type of currency goes into a sudden dump or a little bit of trouble due to blames on such cases like hacks or betrayals of anonymous people fooling other for their own sake, his quiet life might be put into danger and might be mess up due to a lots of questioning by many people around the world. If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Vickyrichy on November 02, 2018, 10:02:56 PM You're only looking at the bright side, you have to look at the cons too when someone like Satoshi suddenly reveals his/her/their identity. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: kendra1107 on November 02, 2018, 10:50:33 PM If Satoshi is alive and free, he should remain hidden and safe. He can use his Bitcoins and live a wonderful life! There is no sense in making himself known to the public because it would be like suicide! The CIA, NBI, etc. will surely make their way to him once he goes public. Stay anonymous...it worked for a decade and it should work for more to come.

Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Reatim on November 02, 2018, 11:34:40 PM I think it is fine for Satoshi to keep hid identity concealed. Bitcoin did well after a decade of us not knowing who he really is. His identity not being revealed did not hamper the development of bitcoin, we saw that bitcoin kept progressing even without the founder at sight. And the future of bitcoin ain't going bleak as well. So for me it is not necessary that Satoshi reveal his true identity. I mean Satoshi disappearing added some "popularity" on bitcoin so I think its also one reason why its becoming a household name and even attracted a lot of media attentions. If you will search for his name in the web, you will find countless theories about the man. And just like you said, we have marched towards a decade without him, so its good if we will leave it just like that. I think that as soon as this person reveals his identity, his life will change dramatically. And he certainly does not want to, if he used to work in a quiet atmosphere for the benefit of all mankind. Media interviews and government interventions will begin. That's not very pleasant. Plus, it seems to me that the developer is not alone - bitcoin certainly came up with a whole team of people. To do this in one person-you just need to be a genius. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Marbelli on November 05, 2018, 12:05:19 AM surely this would greatly draw interest in Bitcoin from the media and we would see another influx of invsetors to the market. Title: Re: The Founder of Bitcoin Post by: Rooster101 on November 05, 2018, 03:12:24 AM If the creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, reveal himself to the public, the cryptocurrency market will be the first one to be affected. If that revelation turn to be positive and acceptable to the crypto community, expect a bullrun that would surpass the Decemver 2017 all-time high of the bitcoin. But what if the coming out of Nakamoto to the public produce negative effect in the market instead with bitcoin's price crashed down to pre-2017 price? The investors should always prepare if the founder of bitcoin decides to unlock himself to the public
